Starting point is 00:00:00 The Blaze Radio Network On Demand. I got up this morning, and I was sent a piece of audio from a friend of the forgotten man. You're a long-term listener of this program. You remember Amity Schlaz, and she wrote a book called The Forgotten Man, and it was all about the Great Depression. and the forgotten man is the guy in the middle. The government is talking about the poor,
Starting point is 00:00:40 and they want to help the poor. And so the government is person A. The poor is person C. And person A, the government says, we have to help person C. so we're going to take money from person B and give it to person C. And A and C are fine. The forgotten man, person B, they are crushed by this weight.
Starting point is 00:01:14 And that's what happened with Obamacare. The government said, we want to help people who don't have money. And they promised person B, you're going to get $2,500. back. Because person B was like, wait, I like my doctor, I like my health care, and I'm barely holding on as it is. Don't worry, said Person A. You'll keep your doctor.
Starting point is 00:01:39 You'll keep your health church. And you're going to get $24, $2,500 back every year. Well, they did it. Now person C has it. Person A has power. But person B is being crushed. The forgotten man. You need.
Starting point is 00:01:57 to hear the audio that I heard this morning. And then, what we're going to do about it? We begin right now. Just then, I will raise my voice. Fusion of entertainment and enlightenment. This is the Glenn Beck program. I got up this morning. I heard this audio, and I sent it to my entire staff.
Starting point is 00:02:41 I also sent it to a few friends in the media on the left. with a little dissertation. This is why we're having problems in the country. This is who is not being heard. This audio is from WMAL, a radio station in Washington, D.C. Listen to this. Alan in Southern Maryland, you're on WMAL. Go out. I'm sick of the Donald Trump stuff, all the Trump stuff.
Starting point is 00:03:14 I consider myself one of the forgotten men and women. I'm worried about job creation. I'm worried about tax cuts. I need more money. I'm living paycheck to paycheck. They just cut off my cable bill. I'm rubbing two nickels together. My girl can't find a job to help me.
Starting point is 00:03:28 We're out here struggling. And these people don't get it. I mean, they really don't get it. I don't have money. I mean, I'm cutting back all my medicine, my groceries. She can't find a job. Do you feel like the president, Alan, do you feel like the president is keeping his head down and doing what he promised you do to try to help?
Starting point is 00:03:47 you and other Americans like you? Do you think he's... If they let him do it and give him a chance. Yeah. They're fighting them every step in the way. We need help out here. We've been struggling for years under Obama, and he had the right message.
Starting point is 00:03:59 We murdered him in because of that. We need tax cuts. I need a couple extra dollars on my paycheck every week. We need jobs. Thanks, Alan. We need Trump and these liberal press and all this. They need to get off of that. And think about us.
Starting point is 00:04:14 I've had here. Put her boots on every day. Get up at 4 o'clock in the morning. want to go to work and try to provide for our families and it's hard. I love you, Larry. Thank you, Alan. You see, we look at people in Washington, D.C. and in the media centers of New York, we look at people as Republicans or Democrats.
Starting point is 00:04:45 We look at them as the rich or the oppressed. We forget about the people who are putting their boots on every day and getting up at 4 o'clock in the just trying to make ends meet, who have played by the rules their entire life. The media paid attention to people who wanted free phones. You got Obama phones? Yes, everybody in Cleveland. The media paid attention to people who wanted Obama cash. This week, here's a portion of getting in line for Obama.
Starting point is 00:05:28 Where's it coming from? Obama. Where's it coming from? Obama money. What kind of money? Okay. So obviously a poor cut of that. Obama cash, when asked where did that money come from?
Starting point is 00:05:47 She said, I don't know, Obama's stash. They paid attention to the plight quote, in air quotes, of the Occupy Wall Street crowd that really, they weren't oppressed. They were people going to Columbia. University. They listened to those people, but they weren't listening to the people who eight years ago were struggling, and they were struggling under George W. Bush as well.
Starting point is 00:06:19 People who haven't had a raise since 9-11. And these people have played by the rules. These people were out among us. as Tea Party people saying, this economy is going to collapse. This can't continue to go this way. Stop, create jobs. The government doesn't create jobs.
Starting point is 00:06:50 And now they're not listening to reason anymore because they are so far underwater. A drowning man will push a lifeguard underneath the water that you can't reason with a drowning man. Nobody listened to them. And this argument back and forth, look, it's important. I think this is a danger.
Starting point is 00:07:22 What's going on in our country right now in Washington is a danger to the republic on about 40 different levels. The Democrats and the media do have a seemingly abnormal hatred towards Donald Trump. I can't control the media. You can't control the media. We can't control the Democrats. We can't control the Republicans.
Starting point is 00:07:51 We can't control our neighbors. We can only control ourselves. And when we get into the position of Larry, we can't even control ourselves. We are working so hard just to make sure our children have food on the table. We can't handle any more. I'm not loyal to the GOP.
Starting point is 00:08:15 I'm not loyal to I'm not loyal to Donald Trump or Barack Obama or Ronald Reagan I am loyal to the things that will protect my children that will help my children will help me feed my children educate my children
Starting point is 00:08:39 I have deep loyalty to the neighbors and the friends who like Larry are doing everything they can to keep their head above water. It's why we started. I get it today for the very first time. Why, five years ago, I heard build the framework of hope, and I didn't even understand it.
Starting point is 00:09:06 Until today, I didn't really understand it. I understood it in a mathematical way. I understood it in an intellectual way. I knew what was coming. I've been warning you what is coming, but Larry is already feeling it. It's why when we started Mercury 1 and we have the labor of love, I've been saying, please go help your neighbors. Please go find the people in your own neighborhood.
Starting point is 00:09:34 They have to know somebody hears them. Somebody sees them. My grandparents were not wealthy, but my grandparents, my grandfather, never telling my grandmother, would take his lunch of, and if I heard it one more time, I was going to explode as a kid, lard sandwiches. All they had was lard. Grandma would make bread, and she would put lard on it, and he would eat lard sandwiches. They couldn't afford butter. They couldn't afford anything. So she would make bread, and that was his meal. And my grandfather, during the Depression, was actually going to work
Starting point is 00:10:25 and giving it to people who didn't even have a large sandwich and he would skip his lunch. That's who we are. Those are the roots where we came. So now how do we help Larry? The first thing we do is remember what the 9-12 project was about.
Starting point is 00:10:58 We're not alone. You're not alone, Larry. There are people that hear you. We, who are not in Larry's situation, need to figure out a way to help Larry. And the help is not going to come from Washington. What happens to Larry? God forbid that the stock market finally takes the tumble that we all know it's going to do. It can't go this way forever.
Starting point is 00:11:29 And I'm sorry, but anybody who tells you that the stock market, look at the stock market, A, who cares about the stock market Except those who have so much money That they've got it from the Fed From the discount window That doesn't mean anything anymore And they've invested it in their own company stock
Starting point is 00:11:50 To inflate the price of their own stock So they have a golden parachute Let me tell you who cares about the stock market Anybody who's worked their whole life And has a pension And were lied to by the union and the politicians, all the cops, all the firemen, all the teachers, they care about the stock market. They've played by the rules.
Starting point is 00:12:14 And when the stock market comes down and their pensions can't be paid, then what happens? We all have to be prepared to voluntarily share what we have. Not some government coming in and taking it and taking 70% of every dollar. so the fat cats can get rich. Those of us who are not in Larry's situation need to hear him, need to find him in our own lives, need to understand that most likely
Starting point is 00:12:58 there are millions of Larry's who will fight you on Donald Trump and fight you on Russia because they're flailing. They're drowning. And if we stop and listen to them, perhaps we can get to where he was. We can actually hear what's underneath that.
Starting point is 00:13:26 What's happening in your life? What's happening? How can I help? There's something else we can do. Something you never heard coming from Glenn Beck before. Let's make America great again. And let me tell you what we actually can do when we come back. Our sponsor, this half hour, is a zip recruiter.
Starting point is 00:13:56 You have a job? You have a business and you want to find somebody who really needs that job, wants that job, will work their butt off. You can post your job online and hope that people see it. But you have to post it on all 100 job sites. But with ZipRecruiter, what they do is they not only post with one single click, your job on all of the different job sites, but then they have an algorithm that goes out and that searches for exactly what you're looking for all over the country.
Starting point is 00:14:33 So you're not going to get just the people who respond to yours. It'll be separate. So you see the people who respond to yours, but also other people that are searching for that job that may not have seen your answer. Add. Within 24 hours, you have qualified candidates. I want you to go to ZipRecruiter.com because you can use it for free. Who you hire makes all the difference. ZipRecruiter.com slash Beck.
Starting point is 00:14:57 Find the guys like Larry who will work day in and day out and help your company succeed. Find them on ZipRecruiter.com slash Beck. That's ziprecruiter.com slash Beck. The fusion of entertainment and enlightenment. The Glenn Beck Program. Mercury. 888-77 Beck. So on WMAL,
Starting point is 00:15:40 a guy named Larry called. And I, sorry, Alan. It was on the Larry show. And his name was Alan, and he called. And I want you to listen to his call one more time. Alan in Southern Maryland. You're on WMAL. Go out.
Starting point is 00:15:53 I'm sick of the Donald Trump stuff, all the Trump stuff. I consider myself one of the forgotten men and women. I'm worried about job creation. I'm worried about tax cuts. I need more money. I'm living paycheck to paycheck. They just cut off my cable bill. I'm rubbing two nickels together.
Starting point is 00:16:08 My girl can't find a job to help me. We're out here struggling. And these people don't get it. I mean, they really don't get it. I don't have money. I mean, I'm cutting back on my medicine, my groceries. She can't find a job. Do you feel like the president, Alan, do you feel like the president is keeping his head down and doing what he promised to do to try to help you and other Americans like you?
Starting point is 00:16:32 Do you think he's... If they let him do it and give him a chance. They're fighting them every step in the way. We need help out here. We've been struggling for years under Obama, and he had the right message. We murdered him in because of that. We need tax cuts. I need a couple extra dollars on my paycheck every week.
Starting point is 00:16:48 We need jobs. Thanks, Alan. We need Trump. and these liberal depressed and all this, they need to get off of that, and think about us. I sat here, put her boots on every day,
Starting point is 00:16:59 getting up at 4 o'clock in the morning, going to work, and trying to provide for our families, and it's hard. I love you, Larry. Thank you, Alan. Yeah, I, just, this, his voice will hunt me all day, and what he said will hunt me all day.
Starting point is 00:17:19 And I wrote an email to some friends in the press who are on, the right and to my company and I said let his voice haunt you all day. Everything we need to know is in that call. You'll notice what he's not even, he doesn't even care. We can't even get him to a place where he wants to talk about Russia. And he's not talking about, you know, these damn Mexicans.
Starting point is 00:18:02 He's just saying, I need tax cuts. I need tax cuts. I'm cutting down on my medicine. This is not somebody who was protesting Occupy Wall Street saying, I can't pay my tuition for Columbia University. Remember when the media was paying attention to them? And we were like, who promised anyone a Columbia University education? This guy is saying I'm cutting back on my medicine.
Starting point is 00:18:34 This is the guy that the liberals were saying they were going to help with Obamacare. No, because he doesn't fit in that. He's the guy you've taken money from. He's the guy who's had 140% increase on his Obamacare premium. So now how do we fix this? you know, Jimmy Carter supporters had exactly the same reaction when Ronald Reagan said, let's make America great again. See, that was a Ronald Reagan phrase.
Starting point is 00:19:19 Let's make America great again. And what did the Clinton, I'm sorry, what did the Carter supporters say? The exact same thing as Hillary Clinton supporters. America's already great. Well, it didn't feel like it then, and it doesn't feel like it, now. So how do we make America great again? Well, first, let's go back to Ronald Reagan and what Ronald Reagan, how he said, let's make America
Starting point is 00:19:51 great. And then, the path forward. How we do that. Also, coming up in 30 minutes, the one, the only, Bill O'Reilly. Back in a minute. Lendbeck Program. Mercury. Lendbeck Program. And those in leadership give us tax increases and tell us we must also do with less. Have they thought about those who've always had less, especially the minorities? This is like telling them that just as they step on that first rung of the ladder of opportunity, the ladder is being pulled out from under them.
Starting point is 00:20:36 That may be the Democratic leadership's message to the minorities, but it won't be our message. Ours will be, we have to move ahead, but we're not going to leave anyone behind. Thanks to the economic policies of the Democratic Party, millions of Americans find themselves out of work. Millions more have never even had a fair chance to learn new skills, hold a decent job, or secure for themselves and their families, a share in the prosperity of this nation. It's time to put America back to work. to make our cities and towns resound with the confident voices
Starting point is 00:21:34 of men and women of all races, nationalities, and faiths, bringing home to their families a paycheck they can cash for honest money. For those without skills, we'll find a way to help them get new skills. For those without job opportunities, we'll stimulate new opportunities,
Starting point is 00:22:00 particularly in the inner cities where they live. For those who've abandoned hope, We'll restore hope and we'll welcome them into a great national crusade to make America great again. A great national crusade to make America great again. So how can we do that? With Donald Trump fighting the press, tweeting the press, antagonizing the press, and the press knowing what we know about the press,
Starting point is 00:22:35 doing what they do, knowing that we could have run John F. Kennedy Jr. And they would have painted him as a monster. What can we do? May I suggest we spit ourselves out of this mess, this back and forth of yes he did, no he didn't, yes he did, no he didn't, doesn't matter. Yes, it does. No, it doesn't. Yes, it does. It's a nightmare.
Starting point is 00:23:02 And it's going to do to our society the same things. that it did to our society in the 1990s. It made us more callous. It made us more divided. And the unknown repercussions weren't known for at least 10 years. With the Democrats and the Trump administration so distracted right now, now is the perfect time to actually get something done. Let them scream about collusion.
Starting point is 00:23:37 Let them scream about treason. Let them scream about it's okay, we all would have done it. Whatever they want to say. Meanwhile, why don't the people who are always the ones who actually make the difference in the country? Why don't we focus on demanding that Congress finally do what they say? Congress is afraid of you. Congress won't come out against Donald Trump right now. You see it.
Starting point is 00:24:07 They're all on television now. kind of supporting Donald Trump, but not really. Why? Because they're afraid of you. Good. Let's tell them. You should be afraid of us because we'll vote you out unless you pass tax cuts. President Trump will sign it.
Starting point is 00:24:28 You put it on his desk. He's going to sign it. Pass tax cuts. I don't care about Obamacare reform. I care about reforming the insurance industry, giving real insurance a chance to work to lower our cost. I actually care about the people who actually are struggling. The ones who are like Allen on that phone call,
Starting point is 00:25:01 who are actually saying to themselves, I can't afford this medicine. when my daughter came home who has cerebral palsy and seizures and says, Dad, our insurance no longer covers my medicine and it's $3,000 a month, what is she supposed to do? What am I supposed to do? I'm in a very blessed situation currently that nobody's in. God forbid, Dad had lost his job.
Starting point is 00:25:38 what pays for her medicine. She was raised in a family that doesn't take handouts, doesn't take government charity. She must have the medicine. So does Alan. So does the woman down your street. The members of Congress
Starting point is 00:25:59 are in a very blessed situation. They get everything covered. They got a problem? No problem. For the rest of their life. demand that they repeal Obamacare and then get off the backs and stop with the regulations that are driving the cost of health care through the roof. 140% increase after Obamacare because of Obamacare is unacceptable. We need to let them know that while the focus is on Donald Jr. in Russia, Pass it.
Starting point is 00:26:46 Pass it. Reform health insurance and pass tax cuts because those of us who have businesses who are struggling, if you give us a tax cut, we will create new jobs. Make it clear to Congress that they work for us. We demand that they get this done. You see, we've been convinced that we shouldn't call them, that they won't do anything. I've been convinced in the last week they're so afraid of the Donald Trump voter and they think turning against him on Russia is going to hurt.
Starting point is 00:27:29 They're afraid of Donald Trump turning on them because he'll unleash you on them. That's a proxy war. You're nobody's proxy? You have the power. call Congress. Pass tax cuts now. I don't care what's happening with Russia. I don't care what's happening.
Starting point is 00:27:57 You're going to solve that and it's going to take you a year. But in that year, we struggle and nobody creates a job. Tax cuts now. Take action. Or forget about Donald Trump. No matter what Donald Trump tells us to do, we'll vote your ass out. we want the border secured. It's astonishing to me that the most powerful and innovative nation in history
Starting point is 00:28:26 can't do something as basic and as necessary as secure our border, pass a tax cut so our corporations are not paying the highest taxes in the world. You know, Germany just reported they're not having a hard time finding really high-skilled workers in Germany. because the Americans are answering the jobs. Americans are saying, move me over to Germany and I'll take the job. Stop caving in Congress to income inequality. It's Marxist rhetoric.
Starting point is 00:29:06 Do what Reagan did. Lower the taxes and spark the economy. There are 320 million of us. There's only 545 of them. It's time to remind them who's in charge. And she, 2018, is right around the corner. That's how our country works. We put them in place to do our work, not the other way around.
Starting point is 00:29:32 We don't vote for them so they can pass laws, so then we do their bidding. For too long now, we've been beaten down, believing we don't matter, that your voice doesn't count, that we can't do anything. It's a lie. Tucker Carlson was on two nights ago. talking about American exceptionalism and American values and poo-pooing them. Come on, we all know that that's pretty much a Frank Capra dream, and everybody does it. Bull crap, don't you listen to that?
Starting point is 00:30:08 What Frank Capra tells us in his movies, it's a wonderful life. In his movies, Mr. Smith goes to Washington. That's true in its spirit, as long as we demand. that it is true, as long as we keep it alive. Look, here's a great thing. We have a window of opportunity here. The media is falling all over themselves. They're not paying attention to anything else. This is the greatest watch the other hand misdirection I've ever seen come our way. They are foaming at the mouth right now about Donald Jr.
Starting point is 00:30:45 And in the meantime, Congress is doing nothing. What are you crazy? Now is the time to go, Congress. And I want you to hear me. The last decade has been tough, and it is going to be tough. It's only going to get tougher, and it's going to get frustrating. You bet. But I believe, most Americans believe, in the idea of what makes America great is not a leader.
Starting point is 00:31:25 What makes America great is the neighbor down the street that finds out about another neighbor that is struggling and helps them. what makes America great is that we serve one another. You want a job on serving. Go here. Go to just serve.org. Go there now. This is a website put up by one church to help serve other churches, to help serve the Kiwanis Club and the person that is having a hard time
Starting point is 00:31:57 and just needs their porch painted. You put in your zip code. It will show you all. of the service projects all around your area. You want to serve? You want to be a part of the solution? Go to Mercury 1. Help us on our projects.
Starting point is 00:32:15 Help us educate the next generation. You want to serve? Go to Labor of Love. Labor of Love USA on Facebook. Find out what they're doing. Start one yourself. Find the person that's struggling. who feels alone and not heard, they may disagree with you politically.
Starting point is 00:32:39 They may even say crazy things politically. Why are they saying that? Why are they saying that? Because they're racist bastards, because they're bigots, because they're idiots, or because they're in so much pain they don't know what to do. We're caught up in madness right now. The entire world is going over the cliff of madness. I'm not going over the cliff with the rest of humanity
Starting point is 00:33:10 because it's madness. And that's not what Americans do. While the world goes over a cliff, we turn to each other and we say we deserve better. We can do better. We are better. Our children deserve a future. Mankind deserves a future.
Starting point is 00:33:34 And as bad as things, are we are still the last greatest hope for the whole world. If America falls into madness, the entire world loses its freedom. I don't believe one man can make America great again. Because that's not what made America great in the first place. But I do believe in making America great again. And America is great because America is good. So let's serve each other. Let's listen to each other. Let's do everything we can to heal the wounds, as Abraham Lincoln said, with charity for all and malice toward none. And let's get on the phones right now and call your congressman, call your senator and say, pass a damn tax cut now. Pass the tax cuts now. You're afraid of
Starting point is 00:34:33 being seen going against Donald Trump? It's not Donald Trump. It's what Donald Trump said. Tax cuts, immigration reform, and repealing Obamacare, do it now, or you're going to have one really bad 2018. Back in a minute. Our sponsor, this half hour is SimplySafe. Overwhelm the system. Why hasn't the House already passed tax reform? Past immigration reform.
Starting point is 00:36:10 Pass these things, make the border stronger. Do the things now. while everyone's focused on what Donald Trump's kid is doing, go it? Pass a flat tax. Yeah, pass a 15% flat tax and then let the Senate deal with it. Why are you waiting for the Senate? We keep sending our troops over the hill one at a time. Of course they're all going to get picked off. Send all of them. Pass all of these things. Trump will sign them. Democrats do. Get it done. You want to help the president. You really want to help the president. You want you want him to win in 2020.
Starting point is 00:36:40 Give him bills to sign. Right now, he'll sign them. He will sign them and his approval ratings will go up. Pass tax cuts, real tax cuts, aggressive tax cuts. Don't wait for the media to be focused on this when it's the only issue you're trying to deal with. Pass it now while they're all talking about Russia and they're talking about health care. Pass tax reform. Pass Obamacare repeal right now. Pass it.
Starting point is 00:37:07 This is the Glenn Beck program. Mercury. The Blaze Radio Network On Demand The one the only Bill O'Reilly on a very important news week What is the media missing? That's a long list.
Starting point is 00:37:45 Bill O'Reilly begins right now. Mr. Bill O'Reilly from Bill O'Reilly.com. Buy his books, buy his pants. Watch his daily show on Bill O'Reilly.com. the no-spin news where you can get no spin and news together. It's like a, I haven't watched it myself. It's like a stepping class or something, a spinner's class and the news at the same time with your congenial host, Bill O'Reilly at Bill O'Reilly.com.
Starting point is 00:38:39 Hello, Bill. How are you, sir? Congenial, that's me? I am. I say a lot of things I don't actually believe. Do you see now, your audience knows, back? Yeah, I know. You're just a hollow man. I know, I know.
Starting point is 00:38:55 Bill, what a week. What a week. Yeah. So where do you want to start? Well, this is your section of the show. I think you should start with what do you? Well, I can't wait to say. Let me, let me, I have a good lead-off.
Starting point is 00:39:12 This encapsulizes the week. So throughout the day, now that I don't have to trek into New York City and, you know, suffer three hours on the road, I'm in and out and I'll watch a little news just to make sure I don't miss anything and all of that. I'm not sitting there on my butt, but it's on and I'm kind of cruising around. So I walk by CNN's on and the lady anchor is breathless, breathless man. She's really excited. She says to the audience, we have video of Donald Trump meeting.
Starting point is 00:39:53 with the Russians. And I mean, she's just apoleptic about it. And we'll be back in a moment with that video. So I got to sit through three minutes of Viagra commercials. Okay. So then it comes back, and I'm sitting
Starting point is 00:40:11 there, okay, now you have video. Donald Trump meeting with the Russians. You know what it was? It was in 2013 he met with some Russians about the mis-hue. universe contest. That was the breathless video.
Starting point is 00:40:27 Okay, well, and hang on just a second. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, just a second. Because I watched the same thing and I sat through the same Fyagra commercials and I'm like, what? And they did come back and you're, again, Bill, you tell half the story. It was the Russians of the 2014 Miss Universe. However, it was in particular the Russian that is involved in the story. In the one who met with the crown attorney for Russia or the attorney general of Russia that was in that email, it was that guy that he was with.
Starting point is 00:41:06 And they were just trying to show. It was the pop star and a ridiculous British PR agent. Yes. Okay. But it had nothing to do. And this was how it was sold with Trump and the collusion accusation. organizations, nothing to do with it. Okay, so that's my point.
Starting point is 00:41:27 Okay, so let me go here with this, because I actually didn't see it on CNN. I saw it on MSNBC. I walked by that nightmare, and that's where I saw it, and they handled it all exactly the same way. However, I was surprised because when they came back and they showed that, the point they were making with that, and I don't know where NBC found these people that were willing to go on NBC, But the point was, to me, this shows not that Donald Trump was colluding or anything else, but that the Russians had been targeting him for a very long time. We know that in 1976, the Russians, the KGB said,
Starting point is 00:42:12 I'm shocked. I don't know who this Reagan guy is. Somebody needs to find out who he is. He might be president. but KGB didn't believe that KGB agent until obviously 1980, but they assigned him to watch. And the same thing we know has happened all throughout history. Anybody who looks like there's a chance they might be president, they try to put lures in front of them that are not connected to the KGB.
Starting point is 00:42:44 And so the discussion... I think you're very generous here, Beck. I mean, it's a... Well, they're not telling you the truth of what they said. dopey contest where they're trying to get it into Moscow. I don't think anybody in a world and any idea that Donald Trump may run for president. He had been saying it since the 1980s. And here's another one today.
Starting point is 00:43:03 Just today, Beck, just moments before I picked up the phone to come on your fine radio program. Yes. They're screaming. Donald Trump Jr. met with a former Russian intelligence agent at that meeting. All right? Oh, my God. And it turns out who's a guy?
Starting point is 00:43:27 He's an American citizen, a lobbyist, a lobbyist for Russia, who during the Soviet Union, and you remember, it's been quite a few years at a low-level job with intel in the Soviet Union. Look, what I'm trying to point out is it's hysteria now. Hysteria. And there may be a good story here. There may be a good story. But it's certainly not surfaced yet.
Starting point is 00:43:59 And the coverage is as blatantly dishonest as I've ever seen any story covered. Okay, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt because this is exactly the kind of stuff that you said to me about George Soros and about the progressive party back in the day, you were like, Glenn, I could believe you, not believe you, it doesn't matter, there's no story there yet. And that's why you always said, I report the news, I don't report what it looks like and could be. Okay, so I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt.
Starting point is 00:44:32 I'm not going to give that benefit of the doubt to others on left or right that are on television, but you at least are being consistent here. So let's not... do what I'm trying to do with the no-spin news on bill o'Reilly.com is to try to have a home for Americans who want to know what has been established as truth, not flights of fancy, not slight of hand, not precarred Monty, which is what now the network television news is doing. It's different from what the newspapers are doing, by the way. It's very interesting. What the newspapers, the Hey Trump newspaper industry is doing, is they're just flat out trying to create a system that will impeach Trump.
Starting point is 00:45:23 That's what they're doing. That's what their goal is. And they're working toward that goal in any way they can. They'll use any kind of blind source. They'll print any kind of innuendo. It's different than what the cables are doing. The cables and to some extent the nightly news and the morning news shows are basically hysterical. All right.
Starting point is 00:45:45 You listen to them and you're going to, what the hell are they talking about? What really happened here? And what really happened here, we don't know. And that's why Mueller will find out. He's got to investigate this. And he said, he should, you know, look, I don't know if Donald Trump Jr. has enough hair moose to get through all of the hearings that he's going to have to do. Oh, that's not here. That's full-fledged motor oil.
Starting point is 00:46:08 A lot of moose up there. Yeah. All right. So he's got to stock it up. But we should. Okay. All right. So let me switch subjects here. First of all, this is the difference between Bill and Riley and I. Then this, I think, is why we get along is because when Benghazi happened, three days after,
Starting point is 00:46:28 I was on the air with the chalkboard showing exactly what I thought happened. And it turned out to be exactly true. Bill was not reporting that because Bill reports the actual news. I tie things together. I can tell you now, I can put a chalkboard together that will show you not collusion, but entrapment, a luring in of the Trump family, and they played into the hands, unbeknownst to them, of Russia, which is a very dangerous situation.
Starting point is 00:46:58 I can show you that the Clintons knew what they were doing when they would go and they would sell. access to foreign countries, just give it to us with the Clinton Foundation. We could show you that. It's not proof. Bill will report on the story. I will tell you what I think it means in coming, what really happened in my opinion. It's a difference between us.
Starting point is 00:47:22 But let me change stories. You and I both know that this is out of control and nobody is listening. Let me play some audio for you from WMAL in Washington, DC. This was on a talk show. This is the Trump, many people who voted for Donald Trump. I want you to listen to the desperation in this man's voice bill. Alan in Southern Maryland, you're on WMA. Go out. I'm sick of the Donald Trump stuff, all the Trump stuff. I'm one of, I consider myself one of the forgotten men and women. I'm worried about job creation. I'm worried about tax cuts. I mean, more money. I'm living paycheck to paycheck. They just cut off my cable bill.
Starting point is 00:48:04 I'm rubbing two nickels together. My girl can't find a job to help me. We're out here struggling. And these people don't get it. I mean, they really don't get it. I don't have money. I mean, I'm cutting back on my medicine, my groceries. She can't find a job.
Starting point is 00:48:20 Do you feel like the president, Alan, do you feel like the president is keeping his head down and doing what he promised to do to do to try to help you and other Americans like you? Do you think he's... If they let him do it and give him a chance, They're fighting them every step in the way. We need help out here. We've been struggling for years under Obama, and he had the right message.
Starting point is 00:48:39 We murdered him in because of that. We need tax cuts. I need a couple extra dollars of my paycheck every week. We need jobs. Thanks, Alan. We need Trump and these liberal press and all this. They need to get off of that. And think about us.
Starting point is 00:48:54 I said here, put her boots on every day, getting up at 4 o'clock in the morning, going to work, and trying to provide for our families. And it's hard. So last hour I laid out my opinion on how what this all means. And what this means is, I don't, I could lay out a plan for or a look at what happened in Russia. And I could lay it out like I used to on Fox and make a very strong case. And I believe that case is accurate. But instead of doing that, why don't we?
Starting point is 00:49:32 listen to people like Alan, see their pain, figure out how to give them the things that they need. But more importantly, why aren't we pressuring Congress to pass a damn tax cut while the media is in a feeding frenzy, misdirection or overwhelm the system is what they were doing to us for the last eight years? We have that opportunity. Bill O'Reilly at Bill O'Reilly.com, his opinion on that, when we come back. back. Our sponsor this half hour is Car Shield. Having to get your car repaired sucks.

Starting point is 00:51:31 Free at last at Bill O'Reilly.com. and he's able to tell you the truth as he sees it and what the media is absolutely not seeing and what they're missing. So when we last left, Bill O'Reilly is always cheerful disposition, we were talking about a guy who called in to a radio show in WMAL in Washington, D.C., and he was desperate. Bill, why are we focusing as the media on the right? Why are we focusing on Russia, did happen, didn't happen, doesn't matter, yes, it does,
Starting point is 00:52:15 when really, if we went to Congress who are scared of their own shadow and said, pass tax reform, pass the legislation of repealing Obamacare, pass these things, and overwhelming the system, we know Donald Trump would sign them. Why don't we do that? You're calling for like demonstrations of people who would come out of their homes and have signs and stand in front of the Capitol. I think that would be an effective thing, but people are working so hard and, you know, trying to raise families that they're not going to do it. I just think calling Congress would help.
Starting point is 00:52:54 I mean, they're afraid of the Trump voter. Everybody, everybody should do that. But you basically have a system whereby the Democratic Party is trying to paralyze the federal. government. That's the most important thing. The Democratic Party is trying to paralyze the Trump administration, and so they get nothing done. Okay, well, but they can't, but they can't do that with the Republicans having both houses. They have the Senate and the House, so they can pass things. They can, they can in a certain way, because they are basically, for example, Kate's law, slam dunk, right? Well, you need 60 votes in the Senate to get
Starting point is 00:53:33 case law passed and probably you're not going to get them because the Democratic Party has gone so radical left. This is how frustrating it is. But on the two big issues of health care, which is hurting working Americans because of the high deductibles they have to pay and the premiums going up, and the tax cuts on those two, you basically have a Republican party that just can't get it together. You know, I was watching Rand Paul again today on television. He's not going to vote for the new health care bill. And he's not going to, he is not going to compromise. He's going to vote against it. And that means Obamacare may then survive. And that means Republican Party will get hammered in the next election. But Rand Paul doesn't seem to care. All right. So you have,
Starting point is 00:54:23 you know, five, that's a little harsh. That's a little harsh. He really does care. He cares about a good bill which this is not yeah well this is better than it was they did go for the cruise marginally marginally they went for the marginally better no tax breaks now policy out of it take the policy out of it you can you can hire you can try very hard if you ran paul to get what you want in the bill but in the end if it comes down to voting against it and and having obamacare then survive for another year you vote for it it's mind-boggling to me though bill that that it's Rand Paul and Ted Cruz and Mike Lee and the guys who are really trying to tow the line on conservatism. They're the ones who are getting the beating rather than the boneheads who think that Obamacare light is what the American people want.
Starting point is 00:55:17 That's not what we want. It's not what they want. It's not what the Trump voters want. They need relief. And these bills, Rand Paul will turn out to be right because this bill will make the, average payment that has already gone up 140% it will make the average person's health premium go up even further faster not if it includes that is that is that is that is the hope and that is why the one thing in there that I think is possible it will it will
Starting point is 00:55:51 they'll put it in that all insurance companies can compete nationwide if you have that that will drive the premiums down but I'll tell you what even if that's in there. I don't think Rand Paul is going to vote for that bill. And I don't think Susan Collins will vote for it. And the guy in Nevada, he won't vote for it because they're voting their own self-interest. They're not voting for what's good for the country. You're never going to get, like Reagan said. You know, if you get 70% of what you want, you vote for it. All right. And then from within. But look, that, that's policy. I was really affected by hearing that guy in Maryland talking on WMAL.
Starting point is 00:56:29 I mean, this guy, he needs help. And he doesn't want the corrupt media, and they don't couldn't care less about him. And they think that he's an idiot, okay? But the corrupt media is never going to stop trying to get Trump impeached. Never. And all Americans should know that.
Starting point is 00:56:50 So, yes, the route that people listening to the Beck program today should take, call their senators and congresspeople and say you've got to give us tax relief and you've got to give us health care relief yeah there is the amendment that movement has to happen the mcconnell plan does include ted cruz and mike lee's backed version uh version uh well let's talk to ted and mike mike is saying he's undecided on this bill and he's they're saying it is plan in it we will vote for it and they does seem like they were three it's collins it's colin It's Paul and the guy in the bat. Okay.
Starting point is 00:57:28 Back in just a second with more from Bill O'Reilly at bill o'Reilly.com. Bill O'Reilly.com. Dot com. Dot com. He'll be joining us when we come back. All right, let me take to Bill O'Reilly over to England and talk a little bit about Charlie Gard. Yesterday, Charlie's parents went to the high court, and the judge over in England said, all right, Charlie, the 11-month-old child that has been doomed to death now by a court in London, said,
Starting point is 00:58:20 all right, there is a U.S. doctor that is offering treatment and we'll fly him to London on Monday. He can examine Charlie Guard and then we'll listen to him. If we think he's got something to say, then we'll talk about treatment for Charlie. but Monday, if we don't agree with his assessment, we're pulling the plug on this 11-month-old. Your reaction to that, Bill O'Reilly? Well, first of all, thanks for covering the story. Nobody else is covering it.
Starting point is 00:58:51 It's amazing. Second, I don't understand why the British government just doesn't hand the child over to the Vatican and let the Vatican doctors and the pro-life movement. And couldn't they, Bill, couldn't they? Couldn't they do that if they take their British passports and instead use the Vatican passports? What the Vatican said that they would give Charlie and his parents Vatican passports. They might even have to deny their citizenship, but I have to tell you, if I lived in a country that was doing this to my son, I would deny my citizenship.
Starting point is 00:59:27 But there isn't any legal precedent for denying anybody's citizenship. the Vatican has made a humanitarian offer, keyword humanitarian, all right? The British government can cooperate with a state. The Vatican's a country, all right? And Charlie's parents have signed off on it. So what's the problem? You know, the British government does not have the power to limit travel. They can't tell Charlie's parents you can't fly to Rome.
Starting point is 00:59:58 They can. They can actually. they can stop the parents from take his. Charlie is not just scoop him up and take him out. He has to have the breathing machine and everything else, so he has to be moved. Yes, as long as you're tethered to the British health care system, financed by the government,
Starting point is 01:00:17 just why Americans don't want that. Well, not only... There are logistics, but I'll submit to you that this could be done, you know, with private help on a private jet, with private doctors. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, of course. But they won't let them leave the hospital, and that's the issue.
Starting point is 01:00:35 Listen to this argument from the attorney. In a submission to the high court, the hospital's attorney wrote that while the institution understands that the parents believe they alone have the right to decide the treatment for their son, the hospital holds different principles. Like, I mean, that's how insane it is. That's incredible. That's why you don't want the government basically telling you what you can and can't have. You know, but here's something that nobody's mentioned. In Great Britain, you can reject their health care system and go private. You can do that.
Starting point is 01:01:09 A friend of mine just runs a private practice over there. The problem is these people don't have any money. Well, they do now. They do now. That is true. But what happened is they didn't have any of it. They got him into the hospital. And now the hospital says, no, he's ours.
Starting point is 01:01:26 that they've raised, you know, at last I heard was 1.7. It's got to be way over that now. But this world we're looking at right now, with the way that we're looking at life is changing so fast. Listen to this. The hospital says a world where only parents speak and decide for children, and where children have no separate rights or identity, and no court to hear and protect them,
Starting point is 01:01:47 is far from the world in which this hospital treats its child's parents. That's their quote. That's their quote. What they're saying is that because of Charlie's catastrophic medical condition, the odds are that he will not recover. So Charlie, they're thinking for Charlie. They're saying, okay, he's a minor. So we're going to say if Charlie were 20 and he had an opinion, he would say pull a plug. That's what they're doing.
Starting point is 01:02:15 That's terrifying. But here's what's what's amazing, Bill. I just talked to Bobby Schindler, who I think you know, Terry Schiavo's brother. And he just got back from England where he was with the parents and everything else. And he said that he's never seen anything like this. He said, it's not the news media that we have. He said, in London, the news media is all for Charlie. He said, all of the news reporting over there is pro-Charlie.
Starting point is 01:02:49 And the government is rejecting the parents, the baby, the people, and the news media. That's pretty remarkable. It is, and I'm surprised to hear that because the British press is so left-wing. It has to do with euthanasia. It has to do with abortion on demand for any reason. You know what the subtext of this is. It's not just about Charlie and his medical condition. If it were, it would have been taken care of a long time ago.
Starting point is 01:03:13 The Vatican would have them, and the Vatican would provide the medical care, and Charlie would live or die based upon what happens to it. But it's not. It's about power. It's about euthanasia. It's about abortion on demand. And the far-left, progressive left does not want those things questioned. They don't even want to debate on them anymore. And so that's what the real story is underneath this, because it doesn't make any sense. You know, if I'm the prime minister of the UK, I said, look, you know, thank you, Pope Francis, for the offer. And we're going to make that happen. We're going to make that it because the parents want it. And the British government is going to, you know, do what we can to put the boy in your hands
Starting point is 01:03:56 and we're going to all pray. Can't use the word pray because that's politically incorrect. That some miracle occurs and he gets his help back. You know, that's the way to solve it. But then then, you know, the progressive, oh, no, you know, you can't do that. Youth and ages, you know, it's just really, really ghastly. So Bill O'Reilly.com is where you can hear Bill and all of his views every day. The no-spin news at Bill O'Reilly.com.
Starting point is 01:04:25 Make sure that you sign up as a member so you can get his podcast every day. Bill, one question on Donald Trump's trip to France. Did you see the press conference? This is not the question. Did you see the press conference? Yes. Okay. Did you notice that the two of them standing there, it looked like
Starting point is 01:04:45 Jack and the Beanstalk. I mean, Donald Trump made... The American superiority and physicality. Yeah, I'm just saying. Donald Trump made the French president look like a Muppet. And he had a better tie.
Starting point is 01:04:59 Why can't Trump tie his tie correctly? Oh, thank you for saying that. It's the middle of the belt. Oh, man. Oh, no, last... Yesterday, it was not the middle of the belt. It was the middle of the zipper. Well, that's supposed to be middle of them. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 01:05:13 I've talked from a couple of times, you know? Yeah. The tie has to hit the middle of the belt. You're going to trip on it. Wait, you told him that? You told him that? Yeah. You have told him that.
Starting point is 01:05:23 He likes that look. He likes that kite look. I mean, if there's a big dust of wind, he's in Switzerland. You can't have that tie. It's dangerous. All right. Okay. Secret service would be tie in his tie.
Starting point is 01:05:39 All right. There's a new pullout, Bill. And I want you to answer these questions. All right. What do you call the insects? This poll shows where you grew up and your language. What do you call insects that glow at night? Lightning bugs. Is that fit? That's about, yeah, with Connecticut and New York, although Staten Island and Manhattan prefer fireflies.
Starting point is 01:06:09 Yeah, go firefly on that way. Fireflies all the west. Lightning bugs. Fireflies are the feminine. you're lumping bucks. I did not have it. It's a feminine. I don't think. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 01:06:19 Look at that oppression from Bill O'Roy. Fire is effeminate? Okay, here's the next one. What do you call the sale of household items out, you know, on the lawn or on the driveway? You call it a sale of household items out on the driveway? No, you know, where. Where, you know, you see this, somebody does it in the neighborhood and they put a sign up on the telephone poll that we're having a yard sale. Yard sale.
Starting point is 01:06:54 I would go tag sale there. You are a freak on that one. Apparently, according to this. It's a garage sale. It's just southern Connecticut that thinks it's a tag sale. Yeah. I've never, I've never seen that. There are parts of Michigan that say that it's a rummage sale.
Starting point is 01:07:08 Oh, yeah. But most of the country says garage sale. And he said yard sale. So there's four, four different options. No, the yard sale is, no, the yard sale is the mid-Atlantic and some southern states. How do you address a group of people? Hey. Hey, guys.
Starting point is 01:07:31 Okay, hey guys. Hey, guys. People in Pittsburgh say yins. Part of New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania. They say use. Yeah, Baltimore says use. How about use, guys? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:48 Really from the Mason Dixon line, it's mainly y'all. Kentucky says you all. And the rest of the country says, hey, you guys. All right. This one, we kind of fought over yesterday. Bill, what do you call a carbonated beverage? Soda. Yes, correct.
Starting point is 01:08:09 Okay, so that is northeast and California parts of Utah and and Arizona. Pop. New England, it's tonic. Well, that's not even on here. So I think that's for the... Far New England. I think that's for the alcoholics bill.
Starting point is 01:08:30 So we'll get that to ourselves. Pop is for the west and the north. And surprisingly, I didn't see this. This poll does say, because I grew up calling it Coke. I'll have a Coke. Okay, what do you want? Seven up? It's insanity.
Starting point is 01:08:49 That's the way. It is weird, but it's true. Right. And it's because Coke is Kleenex. And it shows that, you know, Atlanta and the southern states, even Texas, it says, calls it Coke. Yeah, no Coke Pepsi. That, you know, Saturday Night Live wiped that out about 30 years ago. Remember the Baloochie thing?
Starting point is 01:09:10 No, I don't remember that. We're far too young, Bill. Because you're locked away in the basement. Not allowed to watch television. Where do you throw out your trash in a... Garbage can. Yes, correct again. Garbage can is all the north.
Starting point is 01:09:26 Trash can is at the bottom. What do you haul freight in? What kind of truck? Garbage truck. No, freight. Freight. Oh, freight. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:39 I don't know. A semi. A semi. I would say tractor trailer. Okay, you're from the northeast. It's all tractor trailer. 18 wheeler in the south and semi for the rest of the country. What do you call this one caused all kinds of problems?
Starting point is 01:09:53 What do you call athletic footwear? Sneakers. Yes. Oh, my gosh. That is only the northeast and the very tip of Florida. Tennis shoes for the rest. And this one is insane. And if you happen to say the third choice, I'm going to lose my mind.
Starting point is 01:10:12 What do we drink water from? in public places, that device that, you know, was in school hallways. A water fountain. Yes. Thank you. Thank you. Amen. That's the south and all of the northeast.
Starting point is 01:10:27 Drinking fountain is the west. But there are two places, one in Michigan and one in Boston. They call it, have you ever heard, get your water? Go drink. There's a bubler over there. A bubler. A bubler. It's the word of the day.
Starting point is 01:10:49 That may be the alcoholic again, Bill. Bill, thank you very much, sir. That was more fun than I've had in about two and a half minutes. Very, very much. Right, you're welcome. I just want to tell everybody, a little plug. If they go to Bill O'Reilly.com, sign up for premium membership. They get the new spin news.
Starting point is 01:11:08 They get the straight story. Then they can listen to you for the conspiracy theories. But you get a free book. Oh, wow. free book. Any one of my books, free at charge, which covers most of the membership, and big discounts on things. We're going to have a new line of blend back stuff. But what is the incentive to sign up? The incentive is you get the private newscast that you can watch any time.
Starting point is 01:11:32 They call it a podcast. Right. Okay. All right. All right. The body snatchers. So you get that any time. And then just to even things out, you also get a book from Bill O'Reilly. And anyone, and you know I have 14,000 books.
Starting point is 01:11:47 I do know that. I do know that. I have a friend who's building a house out of those. Yeah. All right. Thanks so much, Bill. Bill O'Reilly.com. You know, I really appreciate you having me on.
Starting point is 01:11:58 It's always fun to talk with you guys. Thank you. Thank you. God bless. He was on, I was on his show this, I think, Wednesday. I love how Bill sets things up. He just announces it. And then I get an email from somebody.
Starting point is 01:12:10 It says, you're on Bill tonight? And I'm like, no. No, not that I know of. And then I call, and apparently I'm on with Bill that night. Visa has come out and said they're going to offer, I think it's 50 companies, large companies, the technology to go completely cashless in, quote, Visa's journey towards a cashless society.
Starting point is 01:15:02 I like money. I'm a fan of it. I like when I'm able to save money when I'm buying things that I have to purchase. If you're going somewhere, if you get business travel, you've got a book. I would like to save my company money. Sure.
Starting point is 01:15:16 I mean, whatever. Glenn, I don't really care what happens to Glenn. But honestly, I can save him a few bucks. That's fine. But in addition of that, I wouldn't mind getting a giant gift card
Starting point is 01:15:23 to spend on myself. That's what Upside.com does. Upside.com is fantastic. They will save you money. They will save your boss. money. Upside.com. The Blaze Radio Network On Demand Hello America, it's Friday. Today I got up and I heard one of the most incredible calls that I've ever heard.
Starting point is 01:16:23 And I want you to hear it too because it is the sound of maybe a third of America. And you need to hear this phone call and let it haunt you for the day. It was a real wake-up call, and I actually sent it to some of my media friends who are on the other side, who will write me from time to time, what's wrong with people? Why are... I sent it to them today and said, this is somebody you've completely missed. I want you to hear that. Next, right now.
Starting point is 01:17:02 And enlightenment, this is the Glenn Beck program. Good friend of the program, Riaz Patal is with us. Riaz is a guy who shouldn't agree with anything that we say on paper. We should not be friends. But we are friends because we're both human beings. And we also can see what's happening to our country. And so while we don't agree on some things, many of those things are not so important, especially right now.
Starting point is 01:18:02 Rias was one of the guys that I sent this audio to, and I want you to hear the audio from WMAL yesterday. Alan in Southern Maryland, you're on WMAL. Go out. I'm sick of the Donald Trump stuff, all the Trump stuff. I consider myself one of the forgotten men and women.
Starting point is 01:18:20 I'm worried about job creation. I'm worried about tax cuts. I need more money. I'm living paycheck to paycheck. They just cut off my cable bill. I'm rubbing two nickels together. My girl can't find a job to help me. We're out here struggling.
Starting point is 01:18:34 And these people don't get it. I mean, they really don't get it. I don't have money. I mean, I'm cutting back on my medicine, my groceries. She can't find a job. Do you feel like the president, Alan, do you feel like the president is keeping his head down and doing what he promised to do to try to help you and other Americans like you? Do you think he's... If they let him do it and give him a chance.
Starting point is 01:18:56 Yeah. They're fighting them every step in the way. We need help out here. we've been struggling for years under Obama and he had the right message we murdered him in because of that and we need tax cuts I need a couple extra dollars of my paycheck
Starting point is 01:19:08 every week we need jobs thanks Alan we need Trump and these liberal depressed and all this they need to get off of that and think about us I sat here put her boots on every day getting up at 4 o'clock in the morning going to work
Starting point is 01:19:21 and trying to provide for families and it's hard I just need a couple of extra bucks in my paycheck every month. This is somebody who, my guess is, if he ever listened to me, he's been mad at me for the last couple of years. You don't have to jump on that so fast, Reyes. I'm, Jess.
Starting point is 01:19:50 I'd like to find him and talk to him. You live in that area. I now do, and I would like to find him, yes. So let's see if we can find him, And maybe you'd go talk to him and then bring him on the air and because I think he reflects a lot of people. So what he's saying here is so fascinating on several levels. I'd like to hear your analysis of him, Ries. It feels like, I mean, the level of pain is just palpable.
Starting point is 01:20:22 I mean, it's palpable in the voice. And to me, this man is calling into a calling show because there's no one else. I mean, he literally feels like, someone please hear me. And what I fail to grasp is why it is so hard to disagree with people ideologically, but to say, I hear you, I see you, and what you feel matters to me. That is all you have to do. We don't have to agree on tax policy. We can disagree.
Starting point is 01:20:48 But I see you, I hear you, and what you are experiencing matters to me. And no one, because they're too entrenched. And here's what's happening. when you look at what the GOP is proposing, they're not proposing anything that is going to help him. He's obviously not on Obamacare. He is on private insurance. He's now not able to pay for his prescription.
Starting point is 01:21:14 And most likely, he's like the average American. His premium has gone up 140%. We're not talking real job creation unless we're talking about tax cuts to help him have more of his money, tax cuts to be able to create jobs. That's not what the GOP, and in many cases what Donald Trump is doing with his actions.
Starting point is 01:21:42 It's what he said, but it's not doing with his actions. He's just at a point to where he needs someone to do something. And it's been, I mean, he says, I voted for Obama, so that's now eight years. nine years, it's almost a decade that this man has tried with his power of vote to say, please notice me, please help me. You campaign on promises, and then obviously eight years
Starting point is 01:22:06 went by, and here we are again. To me, the machine of politics is now wagging the dog, that all we're talking about, and not necessarily here is, is the politics, the fighting, the analysis of every analysis. And it's grabbing this wormhole of you have people talking and then analyzing the talking and they analyze the analysts. And meanwhile, nothing is changing. for the experience of the everyday person. Yeah, it's amazing. And that's really kind of what I've grasped here this week. We talked about when the news first broke about Donald Trump and Russia,
Starting point is 01:22:36 we talked on Monday about that. And I think we talked some on Tuesday about that. But on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, we really tried to focus on the people because there's nothing new here. It's just arguing to argue. It's what we did with Bill Clinton. He didn't have sex.
Starting point is 01:22:55 Yes, he did. He did. He didn't. He didn't. Oh, he did. Well, it doesn't matter. Yes, it does. No, it doesn't. Yes, it doesn't. And none of that connects to a person and their experience and their family and their pain and their life. None of that. Right. None of this does. And to me, my whole thing is, how do I take my own power back emotionally? How do I not hope that the GOP or the Democrats or the president or the Congress will fulfill my needs? I mean, this is not just someone who's looking at fiscal needs. This is an emotionally bankrupt person. now? Where are the neighbors? Where are the friends? Where is the sense of community to say, look, how can I help you? Everyone is entrenched in a battle defending one person themselves. And no one is marching together. And so the person wearing the hijab feels the same.
Starting point is 01:23:41 The person in Mexican feels the same. The man here feels the same. No one is saying this is a great, wonderful, fun time to be an American. So who is benefiting from this? Who is continuing the engine to move? The media is benefiting from this and the politicians on both sides. It's a frenemies relationship. Yes. If Donald Trump really wanted to remove himself from the media, he would stop responding. Yes.
Starting point is 01:24:04 It's personal responsibility. I cannot point at anyone. At a certain point from me, as you know, I had a son, my father got sick, he passed away. I took 30 days off from the world. By the way, nothing changed. Nothing changed in 30 days. That's an eye-opening discovery for people who are in. my compass.
Starting point is 01:24:23 And my compass didn't come from listening to talking heads. And my compass didn't come from watching the news. My compass came from here I am caring for my father, my son, my home. What is it that I believe? Only could I do that by taking a complete fast from media for a period of time. And I work in media. So it's like I'm telling people not to watch my own work. So, Ries, I asked you, or actually you asked me, you were listening.
Starting point is 01:24:46 You said, what are the books that you're having everybody in your company read? and which ones did you read? All four. Okay. Come on, you're asking, I'm in type A. I wasn't hugged enough as a child. Of course I read all four. I have notes on all four.
Starting point is 01:25:02 I read the subnotes and then I read those sources. So tell me what you, you know what we're trying to do. We're trying to find a way to break down the barriers and talk to people and be able to move forward, even in a way where we disagree, but we're going to be able to solve problems because we're not just calling each other names. What was your takeaway from the... I mean, but my whole takeaway is
Starting point is 01:25:32 the way you help the divide is honestly by listening empathically. I've done it in Alaska. I've done it in Saudi Arabia. I've done it with people have nothing in common with me. I've just sat down and said, I've done it with you guys. I sat down and I came in thinking,
Starting point is 01:25:46 I'm going to walk into Lions Den. But when I walked in, I just sat down and listened. And all of the preconceptions that I brought to the table did not exist, which is why I keep showing up. And it's why we did it with you as well. We had every reason to suspect you, and we just listened and watched you. And we realized you're not who society wants to say you are. It's not so hard. It's not so hard to go to this man and say, literally, what about your life do I not know?
Starting point is 01:26:15 When do you think the last time someone actually asked him that and listened, didn't wait to speak, to say, okay, that's great. Now let me tell you. I tell you, the one thing is there are two kinds of people, people who listen and people who wait to speak. There are a huge number of the second category going on right now. And almost all of them are on television. Yeah. I've done it. You've done it too.
Starting point is 01:26:35 I've done interviews. The secret of Oprah Winfrey, she actually listens. I is genuinely interested. Yes. You have to be genuinely interested in people. Yes. And I am. I'm genuinely interested.
Starting point is 01:26:45 people because I can't imagine that that guy is having a very different time than I am raising my children. That different. I cannot imagine that his needs are that different than my needs. So I can relate to that. Yeah, that's one thing we were talking about earlier this week in our office. I think we met on Tuesday or Monday when all this broke. And we talked about, you know, where does your loyalty reside? Does it reside in your principles? Does it reside in the party? Does it reside in the president and reside with the press, reside with being right? Where's your loyalty? reside. And we all said, almost at the same time, our children, our children, what's best for our children? Because we'll take the lumps now and do the hard thing, but I'll bet you that he has a hard time seeing that his
Starting point is 01:27:30 children are going to be better off than he is. Are they? Are they in this day and age? Are today's millennials better off than their parents? No. And that's the reality that people are walking into. How do they walk into it with some amount of hope without all this despair constantly, seeming into every poor. So does it amaze you that we're not listening to people like that who are so at the end of their rope? And yet the media, do you have the stuff from Occupy Wall Street? Listen to this interview from, I think this is overseas, of Occupy Wall Street. And we heard in different ways this argument. me a bone pay my tuition. Why? Why? Because I think these billionaires are getting a lot of
Starting point is 01:28:18 money just out of greed. You know, they're exploiting people, the underclass, like lower class people, middle class people. How do they do that? How do they do that? Just through, well, I guess it has to do with the government as well. For example, we get taxed more than they do. That's not true. That's not true. Do you know the country with the highest corporate tax rate in the world? world? Okay, but that doesn't mean... It's the United States, 35%... In comparison to other countries, but I'm talking specifically...
Starting point is 01:28:46 But it's 35% that's pretty high. And also 1% of the population pays 40% of all the taxes. Well, just reading statistics from what I've seen, like, for every dollar that... where tax corporations are taxed like 25 cents. And that just doesn't seem fair to me. Where did you read that? Um, online. Okay.
Starting point is 01:29:10 I mean, let's just suppose that there was lots of money. So he's going back and forth, and they're arguing, and they have the luxury of arguing back and forth, because this college student said he was, I think he was a Columbia student, and said, you know, I'm getting, I have these bills that are mounting up, and I think the rich should pay for my college.
Starting point is 01:29:31 And so we need to tax the rich. This was an Occupy Wall Street thing. And the media listened to the people, and many of those were not struggling. They were not this guy or they would have had more impact. They were wealthy people who were coming from a,
Starting point is 01:29:52 and not all of them, obviously, but they were coming from a privileged class, going to a privileged school and saying, I can't afford my college education, which I understand because college is out of control. The average person is freaking out. how do I pay for college?
Starting point is 01:30:11 But we listened to this talk about somebody has got to pay for my college education, when nobody promised you a college education. But this guy who's saying, quote, I just need, and I think he means it literally, I just need a couple of extra bucks a month to be able to buy my medicine and put food on the table. I mean, I'm going to go slightly different direction, which is I feel like sometimes there's an instinct to invalidate some people's pain because we think that the parameters of their life are comfortable enough that they shouldn't complain, that someone who's wealthy or privilege, that he couldn't possibly have as much pain as someone who doesn't. And I would say, I think the problem that we're having now is we approach each situation looking at someone with the labels. Okay, you're poor, black, urban, immigrant, whatever it is, and therefore your pain has this much validity or not. your complaints are this valid or not. And I think depending on the news organization,
Starting point is 01:31:10 that compass will shift. To me, the real work here is, I don't know who you are. You're Glenbeck. You have money. Are you happy on a daily basis? You have your own struggles. You have your own demons. I think to me, everyone is angry right now and no one is listening. So whether he's wealthy and is worried about it. By the way, I also went to an Ivy League school, which is incredibly expensive because my path in life was, this is how you become a professional, this is how you succeed, this is how an immigrant's family works. So it was
Starting point is 01:31:38 hugely important to me to get into that Ivy League school, to work hard every day. I mean, people were out having fun at 19. I wasn't. I was at the library. So whatever his pain comes from, I think what is wrong is someone else needs to fix it. And that is the problem is everyone, someone else needs to fix it. And I'm saying I don't know who's going to step in right now.
Starting point is 01:31:55 I don't know who is going to step into this man who's crying into a radio station. He's going to have to find it from his friends his neighbors, his church, his community, his mosque. That is what I'm trying to get people to do, is to say, listen to the pain. For me, what I heard is he said, that's not fair. What I heard from the first guy is, I'm putting on my boots every day. He's talking like a soldier going to war.
Starting point is 01:32:12 They're telling you what they feel in their speech. I am a victim. I don't know how to get out of this. Whatever their parameters are, they can't get out. How do you get out? Listen, what is it you need? What do you think this job needs? Finish the question.
Starting point is 01:32:24 Why do you think you need that career path? Why do you think no one's connecting the dots? It's a sound bite world. He's in, he's out. We got it. Okay, so let's connect the dots when we come back. I want to tell you about our sponsor this F hour. It's Mercury Real Estate.
Starting point is 01:32:35 I want to tell you about Bonnie and Michael. Bonnie and Michael, they live in Virginia. They had a house in Ohio. They needed to sell for a year. They had a real estate agent. Nothing was done. The agent never called them when they did talk. It's a really tough market, blah, blah, blah.
Starting point is 01:32:53 Bonnie and Michael listened to this program. They decided to make a change. They went to real estate agents. itrust.com. These real estate agents are different. They're all hands selected by my team. Stacey was the real estate agent that was selected for Bonnie and Michael. And in no time, literally, two weeks, they not only had an offer,
Starting point is 01:33:15 but they had a sold sign in front of their house. Their house was off their hands within two weeks after a year of getting their runaround. Real estate agents, I trust.com. going to help you find a real estate agent in your area that listens to you, communicates with you, and gets the job done. Thousands of families have already put real estate agents I trust to the test. Houses will sell for more money and on time. Real estate agentsitrust.com.
Starting point is 01:33:45 That's real estate agents.itrust.com. Glenn Beck. This is the Glenn Beck Program. Talking to Riesbettal, friend of ours. former recovering Hollywood guy who is working with me and trying to go into different communities and see how we can start coming together.
Starting point is 01:34:16 And we're just comparing Occupy Wall Street and this guy on WMAL. And they're both saying in some ways similar things. One is in just is looking for $2 to rub together. and the other is looking for a bailout on his life and both of them will run towards anarchy or despotism because if nobody listens to them and nobody responds to them they'll think that the system and everybody above them
Starting point is 01:34:52 if you read tribal leadership outside of their tribe doesn't understand them and it will it will force them into either communism or fascism or into anarchy. What happened to his mic? There it is. Go ahead. Yeah, you're on. Hi, I'm back. You cut me off, you people.
Starting point is 01:35:12 I was just talking about it comfortable I felt and you cut me off. To me, they're saying on the emotional level, on the human level, they're saying very similar things. I'm unhappy, I'm lost, and it's not fair. It's not fair. And I think everyone just wants a fair shake. So what we need to do, and this is one of the things, I want to send you. out and start finding the ways and finding people, you know, all the way down to I haven't spoken
Starting point is 01:35:39 to my mom and dad. Unbelievable. Yeah, because they voted a different way, one way or another, to communities that want to heal and find a way to knit our community. That first safety net has been destroyed. And so the government instead of last resort is first resort. You won't feel as alone and isolated need of help. if your neighbor is someone that you can rely on.
Starting point is 01:36:03 There's a power in that. And even if it's just an emotional power, if someone cannot give you money, it's a real emotional power. Ries, thank you so much for coming by. Thank you. We're looking to talk to you again. Back in a minute, your phone calls and some final thoughts of the week. The Glenn Beck program.
Starting point is 01:36:28 Hold on just a second. We have some important stuff here that we have to get off our desk that maybe has been sitting on our desk. As I'm going through my papers, I'm hearing Stu and Pat talking about bruising. now being... No. What was it? It's the, you know, the internet...
Starting point is 01:36:45 Oh, like Norton. Yeah, it's the... Antivirus. Antivirus. Security system. And it was like the highly recommended, the most highly recommended one for years. And it dawned on me about, I don't know, five or six or seven years ago,
Starting point is 01:36:58 I'm going with a Russian company to monitor the viruses on my computer. That might not be the best way to go. And so I switched about five or six years ago. Yeah. Okay. So, I mean, I mean, I think this is something Marco Rubio said. No American should be using this, right?
Starting point is 01:37:14 I mean, that's a pretty amazing statement for a senator to say no American should use a company. It's pretty amazing. And now. But do you trust them? I mean, certainly now. I don't now. I don't. I mean, it makes, it kind of makes sense.
Starting point is 01:37:26 Because you kind of think that sounds like a conspiracy theory. So it's just a right. So there's some, they happen to be based in Russia. Like, so what? Well, there's a lot here now. They're saying that they have seen their emails between chief executive Eugene Kasperski and senior conspursky. Spursky staff outlining a secret
Starting point is 01:37:42 cybersecurity project apparently requested by the Russian intelligence service FSME. That's crazy. Wow. They're saying, of course, it was misinterpreted and it's not an ideal. But again, and this is people are talking about
Starting point is 01:37:57 did Trump ever work with the Russians? That's obviously what the media is really focused on. But in the midst of that. And he did. He did. He did a Miss Universe pageant in Moscow. As we learn, Yeah. So you know that he's compromised after that.
Starting point is 01:38:13 The U.S. Government's General Services Administration removed Kaspersky Lab from a list of approved vendors. Wow. I mean, that's a pretty big deal. Wow. Okay, so hang on just a second. Can we go back to? To what?
Starting point is 01:38:28 What was your comment just a minute ago, Pat? It was about the Miss Universe page. Right. It's been compromised? Yeah. That's kind of the point. I know you were joking. And that's kind of the point that Bill O'Reilly was making.
Starting point is 01:38:41 And I really would like to make this clear. Let's say Donald Trump did nothing wrong. Donald Jr. did nothing wrong. Okay? Let's just assume that what they're saying is accurate. Right. All right. Here's, this is more dangerous.
Starting point is 01:39:01 This is even more dangerous. We now know that they were very close. to the billionaire family of the pop singer. Yeah. Okay? We know they were very, very close. Good friends. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:39:19 We also know, because of that email, that that good friend over in Russia had the attorney general. I think they call him the Crown Attorney. But it was basically the Attorney General. So, you know, one removed from Putin going to the guy who is one of Putin's best friends, and a good friend of Donald Trump. Okay, let's just say that guy, that, that, you know, billionaire is not a KGB agent. Okay, don't think he is.
Starting point is 01:39:52 I really don't think he is. He's not a KGB agent. But that is like the United States going to one of the biggest capitalist who believes in capitalism. And the United States going to a German. at the time and saying, hey, so what's happening? What's going on? Blah, blah, blah, blah. And gaining his friendship to be able to get into his organization
Starting point is 01:40:21 without his knowledge to be able to get information on his business, information on what's going. We know that the Russians always, always, always have, and still are doing it. they try to get close to people on the inner circle of anyone who might run for president. Donald Trump was serious since 1988 that he's going to run for president someday. It's worth the KGB's time just because he's also very close with the Clintons. He was very close with every politician because he got things done.
Starting point is 01:41:02 He was an important guy in the United States. Putin would want to know what that guy's thinking. And especially if he says, I might run for president, let's make sure we have guys around him. So good. Hey, that's really great. So we're just talking his friends, Mr. Russian oligarch with Putin. I'm just here just, how's that going?
Starting point is 01:41:23 You know Donald Trump? Oh, you were part of his Mr. Universe thing or Mrs. Universe thing. How's that going? That's great. So do you think he's really running for president? Huh. Okay. Well, that's great.
Starting point is 01:41:36 Keep on going on. And then when he's running for president, you know, you know you're a good friend, Donald Trump? I got to tell you, he is so much better than Hillary Clinton. Would you do me a favor? We have some information, even though we, let's just take Donald Trump at his word, even though we don't have any information.
Starting point is 01:41:56 We're not going to give him anything. Would you just let his son know that we have some stuff because we want him to win? we've got an ongoing effort to help. Let's say they don't an ongoing effort to help him. Sure, that's great. Yeah. Yeah. Because I mean,
Starting point is 01:42:15 yeah, we could all get along with a guy like that. Okay? He reaches out. Has his son contact his son? It's not even nefarious, really. Certainly not on the Trump's part. Definitely not on the Trump's part. Definitely not on the Trump's part. but not necessarily even nefarious on the billionaire oligarchs part. Right, but the Russian government's part.
Starting point is 01:42:37 Yeah, he's being used, Trump is being used, and they set a trap. And the trap is, guys, honestly, you know, I heard this yesterday from the left, and they were like, I just, you know what's really stunning is how stupid all these people were. I mean, could you have written a more condemning email than that to Donald Trump Jr? Yeah, that does seem rather convenient, doesn't it? Yeah, it does. So who's winning by having us argue about this? Who's winning?
Starting point is 01:43:14 The Russians. The Russians are winning. The Russians are winning. Let's take Donald Trump. Now, that doesn't mean we stop an investigation. It doesn't mean that you don't say what Donald Trump Jr. did was wrong. It doesn't mean anything.
Starting point is 01:43:29 It just means, wait a minute. Let the investigation go. But we also need to know about Russia, unconnected to Donald Trump. We need to know that they are plotting and planning. If Glenn Beck can get information from the Russian government because they posted, let me say it again, they posted online, that they are trying to infiltrate and disrupt our systems and services
Starting point is 01:44:01 and our political process, we should believe them. The Blaze specifically, if you remember the New York Times report from a couple of years ago, they were intentionally trying to play with the discourse in this country by posting fake comments on the Blaze and other sites. Yes, they were going, and nobody wanted to believe. that when these crazy conspiracies were being touted
Starting point is 01:44:27 online by so-called Americans and we all read them and the spelling was horrible and the syntax was wrong and we're like boy look how dumb these people are huh or maybe they're coming from Russia
Starting point is 01:44:44 the New York Times put that on the front page four or five years ago that Russian agents had infiltrated websites like the blaze named by the New York Times that were posing as commentators. Well, that was the dry run for this. And if you just... It kind of does add up.
Starting point is 01:45:09 Oh, it does. I'm telling you, I could do a George Soros chalkboard here and the seven degrees of Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. And again, and not condemn... Not condemning or accusing the Trumps of anything. Correct. Not condemn the Trumps of anything. You could certainly see. It's there.
Starting point is 01:45:29 It's there. We got to stop buying your cell address. It's either nefarious on their side and our side. It's either nefarious on Donald Trump side and Putin's, or the Trump family is just naive and they were played by a foreign state to win. And what's the naivity there? Because you have a situation where look at what the Trump family is going through with this.
Starting point is 01:45:58 And you might say this is unfair, this is ridiculous, the media is blowing it up into something it's not. The Russian government has held, has been able to hold over the Trump family's head this outrage for a year. A year. They could have released this and put it. They could have done it in October.
Starting point is 01:46:16 They could have done it a week before the election. They could have done it whenever they wanted. So it puts the, the family in an impossible position to take a hard line on Russia. And that is why it's so dangerous. These people are smart. And I will say this as well. When you have a meeting and you have now disclosed today and it may be nothing that there was a translator and a lobbyist and a lobbyist has ties to again the Russian government.
Starting point is 01:46:46 although an American citizen the translator there's a good excuse to translator was approved by the State Department there's a lot of stuff there why would you release this email earlier this week and not tell us that there were additional people in the meeting
Starting point is 01:47:02 why not get it all out the meeting is known about why wouldn't you mention that there were two other people in this meeting here are their names why not do that it's just this constant of allergy
Starting point is 01:47:16 to just be out there and just tell the truth. And it causes the trouble for both, whichever side you are on, if you believe that Trump is evil, you believe they've hidden these last two because it's worse. If you are on against the media, you believe the media hid this because it's worse. Why? Why be secretive? Total transparency.
Starting point is 01:47:37 You've already released an email confirming the meeting occurred and confirming that it was a Russian government source that you believe you were meeting with. That's the worst part of this story. Why let them drip out more stories for the rest of the week about the additional, how many people were there? I just saw another story that says there might have been an additional person there. There's already six in the meeting.
Starting point is 01:48:00 The three Trump associates, and then the initial one we heard, the lawyer, one translator and a lobbyist, a lobbyist for Russia. And the head of the KGB was also there. Yeah. Head of the KGB. Also, Ivan Drago was there. I tell you, this is going to hurt, guys. This is going to hurt.
Starting point is 01:48:19 This is going to hurt. Get it out. Jeff Dunham was in the room. He had the Osama bin Laden and a Stalin puppet on his ends. Oh, no. So there are 7, 8, 9 people in that room now. Holy cow. It's over.
Starting point is 01:48:34 It's Friday. It's time for our grocery stores to stop selling. Now. Yeah, dump it this weekend. Dump it right now. I'm protesting at the grocery store level. All right. Now this stock market is booming.
Starting point is 01:48:45 What did you hear? Who was it that heard a question? Yeah, tell me that story. They were talking about how the stock market is booming. And it was Maria Bartaroma's show on Fox Business. And she had some analyst on there, some Wall Street analyst. And she said, aren't all the conditions there to show that this is an overinflated, not based in reality market? Oh, no, we don't think so at all.
Starting point is 01:49:12 We think just the opposite. What? And then she kind of tied it into incomes going down and interest rates staying low. And that's a good reason for the stock market to be way up. And it's going to continue. What? I didn't fully understand the reasoning involved. It's common core math.
Starting point is 01:49:35 Yeah, it is. Look, here's why the stock market is so high. It's really easy. The Fed trying to bail out the banks. They went and they made loans free to the banks. You can borrow the money for free. The banks then didn't give the loans to small businesses and people who actually create jobs. They gave those free loans to corporations.
Starting point is 01:50:02 Giant corporations have taken that and they've bought their stock back. And they've bought it on margin. So the stock market goes up. Great. They now have the money to buy back their cash, but they're all greedy. Let's leave that in there. And so all this free money has been dumped into the system. And then it sucked a lot of money in from everybody else. We're like, I don't know. I want to get in on this ride. Everybody's got their money in. When this house of cards begins to fall and it's going to, Jim Rogers just said, we're going to experience the biggest market crash since the Great Depression in the next two years. Ooh. Wow. I want you to get a free report from Goldline by calling 1-866-465-35-46-1-866 Gold Line. David Stockman just did the five threats to the economy. It's pretty remarkable.
Starting point is 01:50:59 Oh, and another thing I saw yesterday. Why is this news not everywhere? Visa just went and offered 50 major companies all the money that they need to update their technology to go cashless. So, you know, Home Depot or Gap or whoever, they take Visa up on that, they'll go cashless, they will not accept any cash. And Visa announced this week, and I quote,
Starting point is 01:51:30 this is the first step in our journey towards a cashless society. And we thought it wouldn't happen. It's here. Please call Gold Line and find out about their, their price protection programs, and if gold or silver is right for you, 1866 Goldline, 1866 Goldline or Goldline.com. Glenbeck Program. AAA 727 back.

They haven't been charged with a crime. certainly haven't been convicted with a crime. The IRS just swooped in, took all their inventory, sold it for $3.75 a piece.
Starting point is 01:52:20 And wiped the family out. Wiped them out. Glenn Beck. The Blaze Radio Network.
