So Javier Malay got up yesterday to the United Nations, and this is worth reading, almost verbatim. Listen to this. To the authorities of the United Nations, to the representatives of the various countries that make up the United Nations,

and to all the citizens of the world who are watching us, good afternoon. For those who do not know, I'm not a politician. I'm an economist, a libertarian, liberal economist, who has never had the ambition. to be a politician. I'm an economist, a liberal libertarian economist who's never had that, but I was honored with the position of president of the Argentine and Republic in the face of a resounding failure of more than a century of collective policies. This is my first speech in front of the United Nations General Assembly, and I'd like to take this opportunity with humility to alert the various nations of the world to the path that they

have been treading for decades and the danger of this organization's failure to fulfill its original mission. I do not come here to tell the world what to do. I come here to tell the world, on the one hand, what will happen if the United Nations continues to promote collectivist policies which they have been promoting under the mandate of the 2030 agenda. And on the other hand, what are the values of the new Argentina that we defend? I do want to begin giving credit where credit is due, the United Nations, and he goes into 70 years of blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, la la la. Then he says, the successful model of the United Nations,

whose origins can be traced back to the ideas of President Wilson. Oh, yeah, it goes on to Wilson. I want to be clear on the position of the Argentine agenda. The 2030 agenda, although well-intentioned in its goals, is nothing more than a supernatural. government program, socialist in nature, which seeks to solve the problems of modernity with solutions that violate the sovereignty of nation states and violates people's right to life, liberty, and property. It is an agenda that pretends to solve poverty, inequality, and discrimination

with legislation that will only deepen those problems. Because world history shows us the only way to guarantee prosperity is by limiting the power of the monarch, guaranteeing equality before the law, and defending the right to life, liberty, and the property of individuals. Does this sound like a founding father? It has been precisely the adoption of this agenda, which obeys privileged interests, the abandonment of the principles outlined in the universal declaration of human rights in the United Nations, that has distorted this role of this institution and put it on the wrong path. Thus, we have seen how an organization born to defend the rights of man has been one of the

main proponents of the systematic violation of freedom, as for example with the global quarantines during the year 2020, which should be considered a crime against humanity. In this same house that claims to defend human rights, they have allowed bloody dictatorships such as Cuba and Venezuela to join the Human Rights Council, without the slightest reproach. In this same house that claims to defend women's rights, they allow countries that punish their women for showing their skin to join the committee on the elimination of discrimination against women.

In this same house, systematically, they have voted against the state of Israel, which is the only country in the Middle East that defends liberal democracy, while simultaneously demonstrating a total inability to respond to the scourge of terrorism. In the economic sphere, collectivist policies have been promoted that threaten economic growth. Violate property rights, hinder the natural economic process, preventing the most underprivileged countries in the world from freely enjoying their own resources in order to move forward. Regulations and prohibitions promoted precisely by the countries that developed thanks to doing the same thing they condemned today.

Moreover, a toxic relationship has been promoted between global, global governance policies and international lending agencies, requiring the most neglected countries to commit resources they do not have to programs they do not need, turning them into perpetual debtors to promote the agenda of the global elites. Nor has the tutelage of the World Economic Forum helped, where the ridiculous policies are promoted with Malthusian blinders on. such as zero emission policies, which harm poor countries in particular, to policies linked to sexual and reproductive rights. When the birth rate in Western countries is plummeting, heralding a bleak future for all,

nor has the organization satisfactorily fulfilled its mission of defending the territorial sovereignty of its members, as we Argentines know firsthand in a relation with the Maldivian Islands. We now have even reached a situation in which the Security Council, which is the most important organ of this house, has become distorted because of the veto of its permanent members, has begun to be used in defense of particular interests of some. Thus we are today with an organization that is powerless to provide solutions to the real global conflicts, such as the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which has already cost the lives of more than three. 300,000 people, leaving a trail of more than 1 million wounded in the process. An organization that instead of confronting these conflicts invests time and effort imposing on poor countries, what and how they should produce, with whom they should associate, and what they should eat, what they should believe in, as the present pact for

the future intends to dictate. This long list of errors and contradictions has not been gratuitous, but has resulted in the loss of credibility of the United Nations in the eyes of the citizens of the free world in the denaturalization of its functions. I therefore would like to issue a warning. Listen to this. We are at the end of a cycle. Collectivism and moral posturing of the woke agenda have collided with reality and no longer have credible solutions to offer to the world's real problems. In fact, they never had them. If the 2030 agenda failed, as its own promoters acknowledge,

the answer should be to ask ourselves if it was not an ill-conceived program to begin with, accept that reality and change course. We cannot pretend to persist in the mistake by redoubling on a bet on an agenda that is failed. The same thing always happens with ideas coming from the left, they design a model according to what human beings should be according to them, and when individuals freely act otherwise, they have no better solution than to restrict, repress, and restrict their freedom. We in Argentina have already seen with our own eyes what lies at the end of this road of envy and sad passions,

poverty, brutalization, anarchy, and a fatal absence of freedom. We still have time to turn a. away from this course. I want to be clear about something so there are no misinterpretations. Argentina, which is undergoing a profound process of change, has decided to embrace the ideas of freedom, those ideas that say all citizens are born free and equal before the law, that we have inalienable rights granted by the creator. Among them are the right to life, liberty, and property. Those principles which guide the process of change that we are carrying out in Argentina, are the principles that will guide our international conduct from now on.

We believe in the defense of life for all. We believe in the defense of property for all. We believe in freedom of speech for all. We believe in the freedom of worship for all. We believe in the freedom of commerce for all. And we believe in limited governments, all of them. And because in these times what happens in one country quickly impacts the others, we believe all people should live free from tyranny and oppression,

whether it takes the form of political oppression, economic slavery, or religious fanaticism. That fundamental idea must not remain mere words. It must be supported in deeds diplomatically, economically, material through the combined strength of all countries, which stand for freedom. This doctrine of the New Argentina is no more and no less than the true essence of the United Nations organization, that is the cooperation of the United Nations in defense of freedom. If the United Nations decides to retake the principles that gave it life and adapted again to the role for which it was conceived, you can count on the unwavering support of Argentina

in the struggle for freedom. You should also know that Argentina will not support any policy that implies the restriction of individual freedoms of trade, the violation of natural rights of individuals, no matter who promotes it, or how much consensus that institution has. For this reason, we wish to express officially our dissent on the pact of the future signed on Sunday, and we invite all of the nations of the free world to join us, not only in dissenting from this pack, but also in the creation of a new agenda for this noble institution. The agenda of freedom. From this day on, know that the Argentine Republic will abandon the position of historical neutrality that characterized us, and will be at the forefront of the struggle in the defense of freedom,

because as Thomas Payne said, those who wish to reap the blessings of freedom must, as men, endure the fatigue of defending it. May God bless the Argentines and the citizens of the world and the forces of heaven, may they be with us. Long live freedom. Damn it. How great is that? I mean, this guy is quoting our Declaration of Independence and throwing it in our face.

The Declaration of Independence and Thomas Payne, all of our founding principles, and he is saying, and look at Argentina, it is turning around. And he's saying, this has to be done. Because this Agenda 2030, this new PAC, for the future which the United States passed,

signed, excited about, he said it is going to cripple the entire world. And he's right. You want second citizenship. Maybe Argentina is the place to get second citizenship. So the question

is just how long he's going to be there. That would be my only concern because he seems to be promoting all of the right things and abandoning a historical precedent of Uh, yeah, neutrality, historical neutrality. That's a big,

a big change. Does he have enough people to support him? And not only that, but also can he grow that and teach that to so many others? I mean, we had, you know, we had all of our founders in a row and we started from scratch.

Uh, and it took about 20 years to really screw it up. Part of the reason why I think it's possible is because he's loud, right? Like I think maybe one of the problems we've faced over the past, you know, 100 years or so is like, hey, we're obviously the most successful country. Everything's working really well. We all know it's because of capitalism and freedom. Everyone else should know it too.

And over time, you know, with exceptions, right? Like, you know, certainly you'd say Reagan was an exception to this. Yeah. of someone who really loudly spoke for the benefits of these principles? Donald Trump. Donald Trump is loud defender of property and freedom and individual. Yeah, he's just more, he's still active. So I'm thinking more of a historical context. But like, I think as with Malay, if he becomes, if this, if he's able to set this country on, on this path and make it obvious what is why it's succeeding. Yes.

throughout and definitely another addition to this and still up for a debate, but if it succeeds, which so far it really is, but you know, it's short term. We don't know for sure. If it succeeds long term, I think there could be a really major change in the world. Yeah, there could be. All you need is one spark. And looking holistically at the incentives we in the federal government can create for local and state governments to actually engage in planning in holistic manner. And I will tell you that holistically, I grew up in a, you know, in an everyday average middle class, middle class. Wow. Middle class, yeah. And holistically, that means that you really, your dreams and aspirations were to holistically get out of that middle class. But here she is again on MSNBC. She did an interview with a

very, very friendly reporter. Someone asked me, texted me right after that. Did they make out before or after the interview? I know. It's crazy. That's what it looked like they were about to do. They looked at, I want someone in my life who looks at me like Stephanie Ruhl looks at Kamala Harris. That just loving dedication. It was incredible.

Okay. So here she is on taxes. Expanding that child tax credit, or you mentioned housing before, giving that extra money for a first home. If you can't raise corporate taxes or if GOP takes control of the Senate, where do you get the money to do that? Do you still go forward with those plans and borrow? Well, but we're going to have to raise corporate taxes and we're going to have to raise. But you. We're going to have to make sure that the biggest corporations and billionaires pay their fair share.

That's just it. It's about paying their fair share. But wait. I'm not mad at anyone for it. achieving success, but everyone should pay their fair share. And it is not right that the teachers and the firefighters that I meet every day across our country are paying a higher tax than the richest people in our country. You've been in office for four years. You have no idea. I mean, first of all, this person is an idiot. Can we just be honest about this? Like, this is, she's a moron.

She can remember about three things at a time. You know, holistically, middle class dreams and aspirations. Outside of that, she didn't say much at all in that interview. And like, the question here is so, it's so easy. It's such an easy softball. But basically she's just saying like, hey, if the republic, those evil Republicans block you, what do you do? And she says, well, we're going to do it. Well, you've had four years of time to do this.

And you didn't do it. By the way, did you hear Joe Biden say he's basically turned over the entire presidency to her? Do you hear that? Yeah. Oh, yeah. I mean, yeah. So that makes that even stronger. Why aren't you doing it now?

Oh, that should be in every ad for Donald Trump right now. You are the president. Effectively, he said yesterday he's turned over most of his responsibilities to her. Crazy. But we know that that was an active threat. Do you count either of those as an assassination attempt? Yes. Okay. Well, no, not the crazy bull guy. You just think that's just a threat. That's just a threat. The guy who was, you know, hiring, you know, was over here and they caught him at the airport, leaving.

Oh, yeah. Yeah. Was that the guy you were talking about? Or is that another one? I don't know if that's the guy I'm talking about. But I will say that Maybe we could just state it this way. It has been nine days since an act blue donor has tried to kill the president of the United States.

Well, it's a lifetime. Hang on, hang on, hang on, hang on. We don't know if Iran has made an act blue donation. I would assume they probably have. Right. And they could have made it under another name. That's true. So we don't know for sure that it's been nine days.

Oh, they didn't open it. I probably don't even know what's inside. Oh, okay. They just reported that immediately to the FBI. That's what they did. How did they get those documents? How did they get them? They were delivered to them.

Like on Uber Eats. They just showed up to the door. Really? Yeah. Why are you asking questions? They don't have time to answer questions like this. Mr. President. Uber eats from Iran.

And you might say like it doesn't seem like a particularly direct answer from us. Right. But, you know, these aren't direct things. These aren't straight. Thank you. That's the thing you have to understand. Where did I? Where did I?

and do all the things she wants to do? And she says we just have to do it. And that's great and that's a campaign promise. But the issue is, if it means we're just going to borrow again, then what we're doing is we're just never addressing the deficit. And back in the days when you were a proud Republican, debts and deficits mattered. Huh. There you go. Okay. But here's the thing. She comes from a middle-class

I'm good. How do you think things are going? Look, I think the tide is changing in a favorable way. For Trump, it's going really well. I actually hosted a rally in Waukesha in Wisconsin yesterday. I was at the University of Pittsburgh, an unconventional place for a Republican to go. But in the key state of Pennsylvania last week, I was in Springfield, Ohio, near my hometown. Here's my sixth sense of it. Okay, I think President Trump is actually doing well with great tailwinds. I have greater concerns for the Senate candidates in some of these key key. state. And so I think it is a distinct possibility. We win the presidency without a majority in the Senate. And I think that that would be just too bad because we can't actually fully govern. And so one of the things I'm trying to do is to help a lot of those down ballot Senate and other candidates as well. Put President Trump across the finish line, of course. But we have an agenda to implement. And this is about not just the next four years, but the next 250 years as a country.

And that also is why I put the book out this week. And I want us to be ambitious. about thinking beyond just this election about what we want to actually achieve. And that, in some ways, is the point of this book as well. So you've said the book twice. Let me just, I try to teach this to all the authors. Make sure you always use the name of the book instead of calling it the book. That's why I put Truths, the Future of America First out this week. You're a lot better at that.

Yeah. I just remember that. The future of America first. Yeah, okay. Truths for a reason is we've got to speak hard truths to the left, but also to our own side, which we sometimes forget to do. And I try to do both those. So give me some of those.

Give me one on each side. Yeah, give you one on each side. Perfect. So the hard truth to the left is, for example, the climate change agenda is a hoax. And that is provocative to many on the left, but what I try to do is offer hard fact. I give them one concession. Are global surface temperatures going up?

Yes, they are. Well, that opens up their mind and then listen to what you have to say next, which is that that may not be a bad thing for humanity. In fact, eight times as many people die of cold temperatures rather than warm ones. And the truth is, they used to be concerned about an ice age rather than being concerned about global warming as recently as the 1970s. So those are the kinds of hard truths on climate religion, on transgender religion, on racial ideology that I speak to the left. However, to our own side, here's also a hard truth that I think we need to remember. we don't want to replace the left-wing nanny state with the right-wing nanny state.

Amen. And the truth is even if Kamala Harris is proposing price controls, we don't like to admit it, Glenn, but there are Republican, U.S. senators and congressmen that have proposed price controls in other sectors as well. And I don't like that either. I hate it. And so my answer, the hard medicine for the right in this book is, we don't want to replace that left-wing nanny state with the right-wing nanny state. We want to get in there and shut it down. And that's also a court thesis of this book.

did you see Javier Malaise speech at the U.N. yesterday by any chance? I did, actually. Yeah. He's talking about kind of the same kind of things. I mean, you know, he's directly quoting our Constitution, our founding fathers, and the Declaration. I mean, the world is at a crossroads right now. That's right. And we need it.

And then what hope does the rest of the world have if America itself abandons our own founding principles? You know, one of the chapters as well that I write about is actually about. our own history. We've forgotten that sense of history. It's actually Malcolm X, who famously said that a nation without history is like a tree without roots. It's dead. And in some ways, that's what I try to do. Also, in truth, I talk a lot about parts of American history and our constitution and our founding culture that I think we need to revive and that young people in particular, Glenn, are hungry for. I told you I went to the University of Pittsburgh last week. It's supposedly left of center campus, but what I actually see is a lot of young people who are just hungry

for something new to be part of something bigger. And it's staring in the face. It's our country. It's America right here at home. And I think that that's where it's given hope to people like Javier Malay and Argentina. We've given him inspiration. In turn, I think we need to bring Javier Malay-style governance on steroids to the United States of America, and that's something I'm intent on. So, you know, speaking of things that are truths that are hard for our side, one of your chapters deals with the three branches of government, not four. But it's it, but we look at the third branch, the executive branch,

you know, as this all-powerful branch. It cannot be. It cannot be. We have got to shut so much of that administration branch down, fire and close so much of this. And you've got a lot of report. Republicans who are like, no, use it, use it, use it. No, that's really dangerous. Glenn, I'm glad you said that because this is the defining debate in the conservative movement

right now. And we ought to have it. And there's good people on the other side of it, who you and I respect, but nonetheless who you and I also disagree with. That is the most important chapter in this book. Do you guys, by truth, read one chapter of it alone. Let it be that branch on that chapter on the administrative state. We don't want to use the left-wing regulatory state to achieve conservative goals. We want to take agencies from the CFPB to the SEC, to the FCC, to the FDA, and constrain their scope massively, shut down agencies like the U.S. Department of Education, countless others that should not exist, and return that to the states where it belongs. So it's not just the concentration of executive power, Glenn, which I agree with you on, but it's the concentration of power in the

federal government. It wasn't supposed to actually reside in the first place, instead being return to the states and to the people. Now, the publisher and my advisors, like I said, my political advisors are the same way when I ran for president. They say, don't talk about the stuff it bores people. So one of those things I try to do in this chapter in the book is, you know, it's the stuff that's the most boring that's often the most important. But I went out of my way in this chapter to try to bring to life how that administrative state, how that bureaucratic deep state, actually has an impact on the lives of everyday Americans, on the left and on the right. And the goal, with this book is to equip everyday Americans to agree with you and I to be able to make these points

at the dinner table to their friends on the left. That was my favorite part of the campaign is, you know, we can dunk on the left, we can defeat the left. I did that during the media interactions I had during my campaign. But my favorite parts of the presidential campaign were where we were actually able to persuade people on the left and bring them along. And I've gotten questions from a lot of Americans, how do I do that at home? That's exactly. what this book is a toolkit to arm them to be able to achieve, and that's what we need to save the country. So give me that argument. You're sitting at, you know, the dinner table with a relative, and you, you know, somehow or another come across the deep state, which is the administrative state.

Make that case to me. I'm a liberal. So look, here's what I would say. If you and I may disagree on policy, but let's agree on this, is that the people we elect to run the government ought to be the ones who actually. run the government. And if it's your side that wins or your policies that win, I agree to abide by them. If it's my policies that when you agree to abide by them. But today, 99% of the laws, they call them rules, but 99% of the effective laws in the country are not even passed by Congress. They're passed by three-letter agencies. And there's a story in the book of a fisherman who was put out of business by cumbersome regulations imposed by the EPA and other agencies and

Fish and Wildlife Services that effectively required him to pay money that he didn't have in order to actually just be a fisherman in the country. And you know what? Congress never passed that law. So ordinarily, if that's a bad rule in the fishermen being put out of business, well, people could vote their congressman out. But this time you could vote your congressman out as many times as you want. That would still be the law of the land because it was a bureaucrat who could not be fired who wrote that into law. So we give countless examples of small business owners, everyday Americans, who have been harmed, who have been put out of business by laws that were never passed by Congress. And I think that's something that people on the left and the right can both jointly agree on.

And I've seen that, you know, many of our friends on the left, you've got to, one of the things we can do better, I think, in making the argument, is let's ourselves state the best possible argument they can make. Let's state it first and then pick it apart. What is their best argument? What's their best argument on that? Their best argument on that is that, well, we the people sometimes can't be trusted. Okay, they would say that if left our own devices, we're going to burn the planet so hot that humanity would cease to exist. And what I reveal in the book is you've got to study history, that was actually the argument of the old world. I mean, King George in England, it wasn't that he looked down on us to want it was bad for America. He thought of you as the subjects.

It was his benevolence to say that you, the people, can't be trusted to self-govern. I'm going to do it for you for your own good. That's the premise behind the administrative state. And so the American bargain is that for better or for worse, and we've got to admit, sometimes we'll get it wrong. But for better or for worse, we the people, just create a government that's accountable to us, not the other way around. And that is the American way. Tim Walts likes to call Republicans weird. Well, you know what?

There's one response to that is America, in the course of human history, is a little weird because most of human history did it the other way, but we're proud of that. And that's what made America great the first time. and that's what makes America great again. And that's one of the thesis of the the thesis of that chapter of the book. Of which book? Of the book. Truth, the future of America.

Yeah, good. I hope everybody here reads it. I appreciate it. All right. So make this case to those on the left, I'm sorry, on the right, that say, you know, this was, we all know, this country was made for a moral and religious people, and our founder said it's wholly inadequate for people who are not.

We're just not that way. We need the big state to force people back into, you know, decency, et cetera, et cetera. Yeah, so this is a temptation we face right now. First of all, the same shoe will then fit the other foot. We've seen that time again that when you create the vectors for government control, We may believe today that we're using the levers of the bureaucracy to advance good conservative goals. Well, there will be, like it or not, in the next 20 years, there's going to be another Democrat elected. And once that precedent exists, that's how they use that to really advance religion.

Not the religions that you and I have in mind, glad. Yeah, but we've, like wokeism and transgenderism and climatism. We have to fight fire with fire, Vivek. So I believe that water is more effective. That's what I believe. I've always found that you put out a fire much more effectively with water. And there's a time. You've got to be a fighter.

And you saw me during the presidential campaign. I'm not afraid to be a fighter. But you also have to be strong enough to protect the thing you're actually fighting for. Otherwise, you know, this is how a nation ends, as Elliot once said, right, not with a bang, but with a whimper. And I think that I worry that if we adopt the methods of the left, we're not going to defeat the left. We're going to become them in the process. Amen. Amen. And that's what I favorite.

That's a wake-up call to the conservative movement in the book. The book is called Truths, The Future of America First? Well, there's two directions for the future of America first. One could be the direction of using the administrative state and the bureaucracy and the nanny state to achieve pro-conservative ends. That's tempting. Avoid that temptation and take the right road envisioned by our founders from day one. Get in there and dismantle that nanny state, shut down that bureaucratic state. so we the people actually govern our country again.

And I don't agree with it at all, but I'd like you to make the case. That it's actually good. So this is a core premise of the book here. And there's two parts to America first. What does it mean? We use this phrase a lot. What does it mean to be America first? I think it means two things. One is the people we elect to run the government are the ones who actually run the government.

But number two is that those elected leaders owe their first and sole moral duty to the citizens of this nation, not any other one. And I don't think that should be controversial. But the fact that it is tells you, I think, how. far we've fallen. Now, going to the counter argument to this, as I said, one of the things that try to do throughout this book also is let's get the best argument for the other side on the table. The counter argument, and I think some Republicans agree with this too, is it is our responsibility to the rest of the world as the leading nation in the world, as the shining city on a hill, to make sure we're not just looking after the interests of our own citizens,

but also to looking after broader global objectives as well. And I understand that argument. But what hope does the rest of the world have if the shining city on a hill no longer still shines here at home? And the best example I give there is when you think about our foreign policy, we can have all the debates we want, that you can only have a strong foreign policy if you have a strong military here at home. And I think that's one thing we can agree on is rebuilding our military is a core objective, regardless of where you fall on different areas of foreign interventionism. And that, too, is probably one of the best America-first policies that actually we can, unite on first is rebuilding our military at a moment where we have a 25% recruitment deficit

in our military, trace the root cause of that. It's a deficit of national pride. And that's what America First is really about is reviving that sense of identity and pride in our country. So I look at America First as, you know, if we want to be a lifeboat for everybody else, we cannot swamp the boat. We need to be the strongest lifeboat that we can be. and help people as we can, but we have to take care of our ship first.

You know, that's why open borders is so bad, because we're just going to, we're swapping ourselves. How long can we do this Vivek before we sink? Well, like they, there's old expressions, right? Charity begins at home. There's the expression on an airplane. Put on your own oxygen mask before helping the person near you, because if you don't do that, neither of you is going to get the oxygen on the airplane. Well, the same thing goes from.

for the United States of America. And actually, you know, just because it's out this week, I'm talking expressly about it. The book is Truths, the Future of America First. But I'll say one of the chapters in the book at your coaching, Glenn. But one of the things that I would say is, the things I'm saying here, they would have been obvious 20 years ago, so obvious that I would tell you, save your money, don't buy the book. Today they're controversial to say in public. One of the chapters is called an open border is not a border. That sounds obvious. But one of the deeper, questions to ask is, is there some kind of immigration that helps America? Of course, there's good

kinds of immigration that can help America. I would know, I'm the kid of legal immigrants to this country. But what does our immigration system reward today in the year 2024? Does it reward people who are going to make economic contributions to America? Does it reward people who know the civic history of America? No. The number one factor, and this is a hard truth in this book, and it is unambiguous. The number one human factor that our current immigration system rewards is your willingness to lie upon entry. And I know that sounds harsh, but that is literally the factor. The single factor, it's not your industriousness, not how good you are at math, it's not how much you know about the history of the United States or how well you speak English. None of those

factors are what's rewarded. What's rewarded is, are you willing or not to lie to the U.S. government in order to get into this country? In other words, you go into, you go into, say, I am, I'm a refugee. Yep. Right. And that is the number one factor that's rewarded. So think about you get what you incentivize, the very people who are bringing to the country, the people who are honest, the people who are saying, no, I can't quite say in good conscience that I am the victim of religious or political persecution in my home country and I face

imminent risk of harm. Now, I can't check that box in good conscience, but I do want to come to the United States of America because I love the country. I know the history. I know English. and I'm going to make contributions. Those aren't the people getting in. In fact, those are the people we keep out.

The people getting in are the ones who are lying about it. And that's part of what I try to lift the curtain on and expose in this book so we can convince our friends on the left of it as well. He is the author of a new book that came out this week, Truths, The Future of America First. And in it, he talks about several truths on both sides that everybody needs to be aware of. One of the chapters, Vivek, is facts are not conspiracies. Let's talk about that for a second, shall we? Sure. Yeah, absolutely. It is a very effective tool used originally by the CIA to throw people off and make sure that nobody follows, because nobody wants to be conspiracy theorist.

but there is a difference between a theory and a fact. Explain. Right. So look, a hard fact is, first of all, getting to the root cause based on evidence. So talk about COVID-19, the origin of COVID-19, and I was dismissed personally as a conspiracy theorist when I first said it, began in a lab in China. But what did they use? They used the description of that as a conspiracy theory to actually obfuscate the actual truth. Now, why is that bad? They know the truth. They know the truth, truth is eventually going to come out. This is one of the things I reveal in this chapter is, it's not their hope that it comes, that it's never going to come out. The truth is, the old expression goes, it's like a lion. It can't be held back. It can only be held back for so long.

But what their hope is, is that it comes out at a window of time where it's no longer relevant to take action. And see, that's, I think, the objective here. And why are they doing it? It's actually not because they don't like you. It's because they think you can't handle the truth. They think that's actually better for you. So whether that was the origin of COVID-19, whether you think about even one of the things I said from the Republican debate stage last year, again, they called me a conspiracy theorist for saying it, was that Biden would not be the nominee. Well, you have to follow the facts and follow the incentives. So I come from the investment world as my first career before I went and he started companies. And one of the things you do in the investment world is you analyze incentives.

And the incentives point you in a given direction. That's how you make predictions. That doesn't mean you're always going to be right. but in the same thing in the realm of public policy or in the realm of our culture, follow the incentives. And the amalgam of those incentives points you to some controversial conclusions, like the fact that bringing in tens of millions of illegals into this country is a way that works to the incentives of the Democratic Party to secure lasting electoral majorities in the long run.

Then you go back to even 2012 where many Democratic strategists were arguing for this as a favorable policy. Again, that's not a conspiracy theory. that is a description of factual incentives that actually have played out exactly the way we predict. And so that's one of the things I tried to do in this book is to go into some really, really controversial areas, right? Even some of the facts surrounding the Gretchen Whitmer kidnapping plot in Michigan that resulted in multiple acquittals for entrapment. People forget about the ultimate conclusion. They just remember the original headline.

But that's a really controversial subject you're not supposed to talk about. I expose that and take them on head on. this chapter of the book to say that when you're grounded in hard facts, it's not a conspiracy. Now, what's the conspiracy is saying? We didn't land on the moon. The moon landing is in real. Well, that's not ground in fact, right? That's not helpful. Versus when it's grounded in hard facts, don't be afraid to stand your ground. And that's the distinction I brought here. So here is the, here's the problem by doing this. And I think it was really, the first time I ever saw really in action was with Bill Clinton and, you know, the Monica Lewinsky thing.

I didn't, I didn't, I didn't, I didn't, okay, I did, but it didn't matter. That's how they run everything now. That's not true, that's not true. Conspiracy theory, conspiracy theory, okay, so it's true, but it doesn't matter. Everything is done that way. And it allows them to have time to be able to move the agenda further and further. And then when it's out, they no longer have to deal with that one. but it leaves a lasting scar.

If you would just go back through all of the things that people hate Trump for, now I can't, I can't help you on his tweets, can't help you on the way he speaks, but he wasn't a Russian operative. He called for the people of the National Guard on January 3rd. Then he did it again on the 6th. The things that he gets nailed for, are conspiracy truths and facts, but it doesn't change it.

And they never go back to their audience and say, oh, you know what? We were wrong about that. None of it. Right. It's a consistent pattern. And so one of the things I reveal in this chapter of the book is usually when there's an orchestrated description. The book is the truth, the future of America first.

Yeah, okay, good. Yeah. And this is one of the key chapters in the book is one of the things that they actually do usually when they're describing it as a conspiracy theory, that usually actually involves a conspiracy to create that smoke screen, like the Hunter Biden laptop. Yes, right? Yes.

The Hunterbind laptop being real wasn't a conspiracy. The conspiracy was the plot to dismiss it as Russian disinformation. Correct. It wasn't a conspiracy that Trump had with Russian to somehow be a Manchurian candidate. The conspiracy was to create the appearance of that. The other thing, Glenn, is it's grounded in even our own declassification procedures. And I talk about this in the chapter as well. And again, the goal here is this is not a lot.

left-wing or right-wing point. You've actually had Jay Edgar Hoover's FBI that used this against left-leaning targets. It's Martin Luther King back in the 60s. And so part of the point of this book, Truths, is to arm people on the right to be able to win over their friends on the left. These are some points that I reveal in that chapter where the reason to declassification timelines are so long, right? 50, 60 years before they declassified those files is exactly what you said. By the time it comes out, the agenda has already moved, such that it's moot by the time they release it. And so in some ways, this has been institutionalized. The idea of, dismiss it as a conspiracy theory, 60 years later, after I'm dead and gone,

after the policies have already been enacted, the public of a different generation can see it, but they don't really care at that particular point in time. And so the goal of this chapter in this book more generally is to not be a partisan screed. I don't think that's helpful, but to sort of be educational in a way. that allows us to reach our friends on the left, even on neutral terms. And if you look through history, a lot of the tools that are being weaponized against conservatives today, we're actually even in the 60s who weaponized against the left at other points in American history. And that's why we're able to see it.

And, you know, when to talk about truth, with the title of the book, it applies in all directions. So let me switch gears here with you. I have heard this about you, and I heard this about J.D. Vance, that these guys are actually subversive. They're coming in from Silicon Valley, and they're just planting the Silicon Valley seeds deeply into the Republicans like it was into the Democrats, and it's going to be the same agenda. How do you respond to that? Well, look, I think that, well, I prefer facts. What I actually have been doing, I mean, I voted libertarian in my first election back in 2004. I think most people when I was in college at Harvard, and Harvard is not a bastion of conservatism.

But I think most of my peers would tell you I was probably one of the lone voices, loudly proclaiming conservative-leading truths even to my peers. And I would say I got a better education because of it, Glenn, because I was surrounded by people who generally disagreed with me. What I'm actually doing in some ways the reverse is planting our own, I don't even call them conservative, but pro-American ideals like Silicon Valley. If you look over the course of the last year, and I don't want to, you know, I'm not patting myself on the back,

I'm offering people a toolkit to say, we've got to talk to the people who disagree with us. Yes. Many of the Silicon Valley billionaires have really changed their tune. And I know many of those were direct result of multiple personal conversations I had over the course of last year and the last several years as a presidential candidate. That's what we're going to need to win the country back. It's going to have to be bottom up as well as top down in different areas of our culture. And we're not going to do it if we just stay within our own echo chambers.

And so my goal with this is you can't ignore the left, you can't, and you don't just want to defeat, you know, people who disagree with you. I do that when necessary. But part of what we do is we want to win them over. And I think that's exactly how we get our country back, not just by talking to the people who agree with us. That is the core premise of this book. This project is you can defeat the left and you can dunk on the left and own the libs. This book, Truths, this is not an own the lives book. This is a win the country back, including, including.

including by bringing along, some of the people who think they disagree with us. Some of the biggest names in Silicon Valley, and I don't want to name them, you know, for the purpose. Sure. Because it goes not to embarrass anybody, but some of the biggest names in Silicon Valley, multi-billionaires, those successful companies, thought as recently as last year or a year ago, they were two ago that they were on the left. And I could say that it is a direct function of the conversations that I've had with them that I think that they've at least rethought their positions and may call themselves libertarians or independents and they're coming around to vote for Trump this time around. That's what we need. And so to people,

will say, well, is he, you know, hobnobbing with the elite. Well, you know what, in some sense, I wasn't born as an elite, but I did live the American dream and I went to Harvard and Yale and I founded multi-billion dollar companies. I want to use that to help save our country rather than what some people like to do is to try to pretend that that's not part of their background. I'm proud of those achievements. And I think that's a good thing, but I want to use them to better the country. And, you know, I get it where we have been taught to be and we have good reasons to be so skeptical. of anything that we're told. I mean, we've been lied to so many times by governments and leaders of universities. So I always embrace skepticism and say we should always stay skeptical of me, of you,

of a president, of anybody else, always stay skeptical. But the path is not just to stay skeptical for the sake of being a skeptic. The part of reason of doing it is actually part of the path to truth. And if you follow the facts, you'll understand that's certainly why I'm in this. And I'm not going to stop until we save this country. And I was also in. intent to release this book before the election for a reason. I don't want to be waking up on November 6th and saying what more could we have done. I am a little bit concerned. I'm optimistic on one hand. I'm traveling the swing states of this country and I have a good vibe, at least for President Trump, maybe lesser for the Senate candidates. But I also am worried. We were told we were supposed to have

a red wave in 2022 that never came. And I think we're at risk of something like that happening in 24, unless we level up, we can't just fall into the trap of criticizing the left. We've got to do some of that, but we can't just do that. We have to offer an alternative vision of our own, of what are we running to? Not just what are we running from, but what are we running to? What do we actually stand for as conservatives and as Americans? We don't talk about that enough. The individual, family, nation, and God beat race, gender, sexuality, and climate. if we have the courage to actually stand up for our own vision. And that's probably the number one call to action at the end of the book, Truths,

is that if we want to actually revive the country, it's not just about dismissing the other side's arguments. We have to level up and offer a vision of our own. And that's what I'm trying to do, not just through this book, but through whatever I do next for the country, that's going to be a core focus for me. Ukraine, we are being asked now for another, what was it? How many billion? $7.9 billion in aid for Ukraine. Zelensky is pushing for the long-range weapons,

and Putin is. said, this is war, it'll be an act of war. Have we made the decision yet? Are we doing that? Why are we coming out right now and saying we're not going to do that? It's terrifying, really terrifying. Yeah, it should be kind of an instant response. At least, I know I keep saying this, but at the very least publicly, it should be the instant response. Correct. I don't know what they're talking about. Where's Ukraine? That should be our stance on Ukraine. Amen. Publicly. Now, if you want to be supportive and you want to do all these things, you know, we have done stuff like this in the past.

Has it always worked out so well. That's something to consider. But if you wanted to do those things, we should be very much off the record doing them. Not in front of everybody and saying, hey, we think you should take out cities in Russia. In other words, we shouldn't say like if there was a pipeline, that if they don't go our way,

that we'll make sure that that pipeline isn't there. You shouldn't say that, especially if you're playing on doing it later. Wow. Now, as we all know, this was a, a couple of people on a yacht and they had with no connection whatsoever to any nation state. They were taking scuba lessons.

And yes, they were taking scuba lessons. And we will say they did go to Ukraine to talk about this, but we America shut them down. We said no, Ukraine, do not go blow up that pipeline. But unfortunately, they had already left on their yacht trip. Wow.

And they probably had scuba gear. Who can answer a phone in scuba gear? It's basically impossible. So they went over there and blew up the pipeline. Wow. But all of that being said, that's actually what they want you to believe. That was the actual story. They want you to believe that was the story.

It was like four people or six people and a couple of them were women. Yeah. Who got in scuba gear and went down by themselves to blow up the pipeline. And a scuba instructor. A scuba instructor. That's right. That's right. It had to be believable.

That's why. And it got away with it too if it wasn't for those damn kids in the mystery van. It's either the worst lie. or the greatest story of all time. I don't know which one it is. It's one of those two. I've got an inkling, but it is, it would be an incredible.

I will say this. I want to see the movie of the story whether it's true or not. Because it would be, and it should be a dark comedy. That's what it should be. Yes. Somebody make that film.

Yes. Because that is the most unbelievable story of all time. A bunch of guys just sitting around in a bar and be like, you know what we should do? Now, who would have seen that New York City was corrupt? It comes as a surprise to me, a big surprise. It looks like everybody is being indicted in New York City, the mayor's team. and a lot of it has to do, I guess, with the money that's coming in for the refugees.

That aren't refugees. Where are they coming from? Where is their little boat that washed up on shore? We're a refugee. Where is that? I'm trying to. Anyway, so a lot of people look like they might be going to jail. Now, the question is, because I think, I don't know enough about this, but it seems as though there's a lot of evidence that bad things were going on with a lot.

with a lot of people, right? However, I wonder if he hadn't have been so vocal about the administration, if it would have, if it would have just let sleeping dogs, sleeping dogs lie, you know what I mean? Just, shh. Because you're right. Like, that's been the interesting thing. I see a lot of people saying, criticizing those on the right, saying,

oh, well, the only reason he's getting taken in or getting indicted is because he spoke out on immigration. And there may be some people saying that. I think a more accurate description of what they're saying, or at least most of the people I've talked to on the right are talking about, is that every Democrat does crap like this. Most of them have no consequences. This guy seems to be the one guy getting consequences. Now, it's not... It could be that it was so deep and so widespread.

Right, it could be. It had nothing to do with that. But in an era where Democrats get away with murder. Yeah, all the time. They do everything and constantly get away with it. And then this one guy, the what, I mean, and coming from someone who's, you know, not in New York, and frankly, other than a few people who I like there, don't really care what happens to it. It's like, I am of that position.

I'm of like, really like what I've seen about Eric Adams has largely been that. Like, you know, his comments on the illegal immigration crisis have been the one thing that has cut through nationally. since he got into office. The one thing he's known for nationally since he got into office is pushing back against this left-wing narrative and, frankly, hurting the administration that is now coming after him. So I don't know. I mean, I don't think it's the only reason I doubt. I hope not.

I honestly, I hope not. I mean, I guess you're right. We've got to have trust that it's not all politics, that justice once in a while, peeks out and goes like, oh, there's an injustice. I should look into that one. Yeah, I agree. I will say it is odd, though. Here's a guy who was in, he was in law enforcement for many, many years.

It was not a scandal-ridden guy, real guy. He was not one of those guys that was constantly in the news for, you know, about to get arrested or, you know, thrown out of being, you know, police chief because he was so corrupt. And I guess the theory here is his plan the entire time was to become mayor so he could take money. from Turkey? That's the whole... You know, it's just a weird story. I don't know. Maybe it's completely true. Maybe he went from a law enforcement guy for, you know, a million years

and the week one he got into office just switched completely. It was like give me all your money, Turkish government. You know, maybe. Let me just say this, though. You know, we've lived in New York. It is. It's so corrupt. Oh, it's so corrupt. And the only reason why

I bring that up is it's not surprising that, you know, Adam, he could have been completely non-corrupt, but then he becomes mayor, and the corruption is just so beating so bad. Yeah, it's real. And then the one thing I just like to point out, there's never been corruption charges with the biggest builder in all of New York, working with all of the unions, all of the dirt that honestly I thought had to go down with Donald Trump.

I and you know I just because I live there Stu you remember his buildings would go up twice as fast as anybody else's and you'd be like how do you do that how do you do that and it's not corruption but apparently it is with Adams let me go to do we have him on

let me go to Rand Paul Rand Paul Senator welcome sir how are you Good morning Glenn thanks for having me you bet so tell me me what is, are we ever going to get to, we were just talking to the, about the justice system and how corrupt it is. And, you know, this, the system of the secret service, we're not getting, I don't think we're getting any real answers. And it doesn't seem like anybody really cares anymore in the media

or, you know, those in the secret service. Am I reading this right? I would say, as far as Congress is concerned. There's been a remarkable amount of concern both on the Republican and the Democrats. Yeah, I have been surprised. We rarely get the Democrats to do anything, and they signed on to a report that basically condemned the first assassination attempt as a compilation of errors. I mean, just Secret Service errors, one after another, inexcusable errors, and we condemned those errors. But lo and behold, not a whole lot's been done in the second assassination attempt. And it's once again full of egregious errors. A guy waiting for 12 hours, nobody knows he's there. Turns out he's been there on and off for 30 days. So yeah, these continue to be human errors. Now, the only success

I can tell you is that they have at least now finally acknowledged they're giving the same secret service detail to Biden, Harris, and to Trump. So that is a step forward. It doesn't mean that we have good people running the place yet, but I've told people I'm not going to rest until their responsibility taken and whoever was in charge in Butler. And really, it was ever in charge in Marlauga the other day. They are not showing the ability to be in charge and they need to be replaced. I saw a story today that just says they're overworked and stretched thin. Since when have we had a problem with budget?

Yeah, and here's the thing. And even that's not true. And really, when you have human error, you shouldn't give the humans more money. And the thing is, if you look at their budget, their budget's gone up like in the last three or four years gone up like a third. Just last year, it went up 14 and a half percent. We spend over one, I think it's $1.3 billion. This is not a funding problem. Every one of these things we looked at.

And, you know, we've written an entire report came out yesterday as dozens of errors. None of them include money. No one was in charge. No one takes responsibility. No one admits it was their job to walk around the grounds and say, wow, look at this roof. It's only 100 yards away, pointed right at the stage. Why don't we put a counter sniper up there?

We also know that the Trump campaign and the Trump Secret Service asked for months for countersnipers. The first time they finally get counter snipers is at Butler, and thank God the counter snipers were there, because if they had not taken the shooter out as quickly as they did, it obviously was a lot of errors, but they still took out the shooter very quickly. had they not, and it gets off another 10 rounds, he could well have hit and killed Trump with a second shot or more Secret Service and more spectators. So we're lucky they finally did, but we'd like to know why they were turned down for six months,

you know, where they sent to protect the First Lady instead of Trump. There's a lot of questions that are unanswered, and we're still trying to get to the bottom of it, but this is the fight we have all the time with the Executive Branch. You know, I've been trying to get information about the COVID cover up for three years, it's non-classified and they still fight me on that. So you can see it's fighting tooth and nail. And really the only way you get people to give you information is the opposite of what they do.

You withhold money. If you withhold their money and take, you know, we're going to withhold your salaries. All of a sudden the documents start showing up. So have we dismissed the supposed, uh, uh, coded,

uh, I don't even know what they were, apps that he had between two other, you know, dark kind of countries? I guess he's the first, the first shooter. You know what I'm talking about? Yep. I do. He had several encoded apps where he was communicating with someone. No one's dismissed him. I think they've got the ability to crack them. That's what they're apparently telling us. I think that everything about both the first and the second shooter looked like independent of shooters not that sophisticated.

And that's what makes it more troubling is that an unsophisticated shooter, two times in a row, was able to get to the point where he could have killed former President Trump and realized there are also credible threats now from Iran saying that they will do it. And Iran's a much more sophisticated enemy. I mean, if nothing else, the Iranians are pretty good with missiles and with drones and with technology. And, you know, we have to have the appropriate defensiveware in place. And, you know, we just barely got counter-sniper's for Trump.

But I've been pushing and pushing to make sure we have the sophisticated defense equipment that's necessary to stop a state actor from assassinations. This is absolutely insanity that we, you know, the leader of the world is grappling with technology. And, you know, we've got to get better technology. We have to this, this is, I mean, we're becoming a third world country quickly, it feels like. we're becoming the end of the Soviet Union. Yeah, and the thing is, is, you know, there is no excuse for what happened. It really wasn't a lack of money, lack of resources. This was just common sense.

No one's in charge. But really in the first shooting, it's pretty dramatic. A guy's on the ground for 90 minutes. And your local police are pretty good at having suspicion. Even regular people are pretty good with suspicion. So they have suspicious, you know, suspicion of this man for a young man for 90 minutes. Nobody really does anything, though. They kind of start looking for him, but they don't find him.

But really, he had a backpack big enough to fold an AR-15 into. He's using a range finder, and he looks suspicious. Wouldn't you think that that's enough to remove former President Trump from the stage? Yes. They never did it. They finally announced it all globally, and Secret Service hears about it, with 27 minutes to go. So this is still probably 10 minutes before Trump takes the stage. They have 27 minutes until the shooting.

they still don't take you from the stage. But then they have a last chance. At 606, the shots are at 611 in a couple of seconds. At 606, people are shouting, man on a roof, man on a roof. At 608, the police are shouting, man on a roof, man on a roof. They're running towards the building with guns drawn. The counter-sniper sees him running. He points his gun over there.

Everybody's looking there, and yet no one says take Trump off the stage. man on a roof is enough to take the former president from the stage and they don't do it. Between 608 and 610, it is radioed to the main tent, the security tent for the Secret Service and the local police. They're in one tent. They do hear the message. Does any of them say take Trump all the stage? They start making phone calls to do something about the man on the roof, but nobody takes him off. So it's like, this seems like 101 in security, and I'm not an expert in security.

I would think the first thing you do is take the president off the state. Yeah, this sounds like the keystone cops. I mean, you're that convinced that this is all just human error that there's, I mean, because that is, that's a lot. It's the keystone cops all the way through. Yeah. I just have no evidence otherwise. I will tell you the one thing that will be hard to prove and no one's really ever going to know

is they denied counter-sniper's for six months. they denied extra security protection that was being recommended by the Trump Secret Service and the Trump campaign. That was denied for six months. I'm not going to be able to get inside the head of the denials. Right. I don't know that they did it because of bias, but I can tell you from meeting people throughout government, Department of Justice, CIA, FBI, people who are supposed to be unbiased are so deranged

by their head of Trump that they do bizarre things. I mean, look at the whole Peter Strach thing and his, his, you know, mistress. all of that was hatred of Donald Trump, and they still worked at the FBI. And what was the Department of Justice to in the end? They gave them a million-dollar payout. They said, we were unfair to poor Peter Strach, who was trying to, you know, make sure there was no chance Trump could be elected. Jeez. It's insane.

Is anyone going to be held? Wait, wait, wait, before I get there. One more thing on the shooter from the golf course. He didn't go to jail. He should have been all over. everybody's radar. He had to have been over the CIA's radar. Are you, do you think that that was all just people being in? I don't know any more about that than what I've seen. All I've seen is stuff on the press.

We haven't done any interviews on that. And we would have to have interviews with, you know, CIA. They barely talk to us. You know, they, they don't believe in any oversight of the CIA or the FBI. If I request their conference with them, it's like pulling teeth. If I beg someone on the Intelligence Committee, I can sometimes get a meeting with the CIA or the FBI. They're beyond oversight. People need to realize this. Not only is there a deep state, the deep state is not responsive to your elected officials. They just basically thumb their nose at us.

So how is that going to change? The only way it changes and the way historically it worked is we had the power of the purse. You have to have people with guts who run the appropriations committees. There are some that are favor. but many people on the Appropriations Committee are there to be a rubber stamp for more money. So they're more used to in a crisis like the Secret Service, let's give them more money, whereas historically what you did is you withheld their money until they gave you all the documents. But nobody really...

The power of the first can get the thing. Nobody uses the power of the first is not used at all. Nobody seems to have the, they don't seem to have the courage. I mean, we just, we had an opportunity to get the SAFAC pass. Nobody had the courage to do that. We're coming back in, I think, December, are we going to hold up? We have under two minutes. They have like 90 seconds. Yeah, you know, the thing is, is with the COVID cover up, I've been trying to get non-classified documents. We voted unanimously to declassify everything. That's not even the problem. I can't get non-classified documents. But I would get them within a week if the appropriators, the spending folks on Republican and Democrats side would, you know, hold their feet to the fire and say no more

money, but they haven't done it. I'm still hoping with the new presidency, I get those documents, But with this with the Secret Service, I can tell you this and tell you listen to this. I'm not giving up on it. I will stay on this until someone is held responsible. And to my mind, that means someone has to lose their position. Yeah, maybe multiple people lose their position. And I hope, and I've been so heartened by your work on the COVID stuff that you're just not going to let that go. Because COVID, this is, this is, I mean, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, the,

Cut four, please. I believe we need. need to grow our middle class and make sure our economy works for everyone. Wow. For people. Woo! Yes. Clack people! I thought it was only

targeted towards single cell eight. And the hardworking Americans, I meet every day across our nation. Is it just those people? Just the people she meets every day? Well, no. The people that she grew up around. The middle class people that she grew up. Yeah.

She's a daughter of Oakland. She's a daughter of Oakland. I don't know if you knew that. Yeah, actually she lived in Berkeley. Via Berkeley and Montreal. But yeah, she's a daughter of Oakland. So anyway, what she doesn't say is how is she going to grow the middle class? Oh, no, that's not true. Oh, yeah, I actually watched her economic proposals yesterday.

I've memorized them. Wait, what? I memorized them. I thought it was so important that I spent time yesterday doing some memorization to understand her policies specifically. You can just right off the top of your head now. Her economic policy? Anytime anyone asks.

All right, go ahead. Yesterday she said it. She said Donald Trump. Donald Trump thinks the economy works best when it works best for the people who own the skyscrapers. What I want to do is I want to make the economy work best for the people who mop the floors of the skyscrapers. Wait, wait, before the crowd goes crazy. which you just did. Isn't that incredible?

Wow. That's not an economic plan. Again, that's not. No. It's not because some people I've heard even say it's just another idiotic insult in a way of rephrasing everything else she's already said. But that is what she did yesterday. That was her big proposal.

Well, here she is on taxes. She got down to a tax policy. Cut one, please. Expanding that child tax credit or you mentioned housing before, giving that extra money for a first home, if you can't raise corporate taxes, or if GOP takes control of the Senate, where do you get the money to do that? Do you still go forward with those plans and borrow? Well, but we're going to have to raise corporate taxes, and we're going to have to raise, hmm, I know. We're going to have to make sure that the biggest corporations and billionaires pay

their fair share. That's just it. It's about paying their fair share. That's our system of government is now. I am not mad at anyone for achieving success. By the way, that's how they've governed. Yeah, it is. It is how they've governed. We're just going to do it. We're just going to do it. We're just going to get rid of those student loans.

That's just it. Eviction moratorium. Well, we have to stop if that's just it. That's not how our system of government works. Kami. And I mean that as a... You mean Kamala? No, I meant a short, yeah, shorting.

I was shorting, you know, abbreviating her name to. Yeah. From Kamala. To Kami. To Kami. I like that. You know, it is weird how that works really well because I actually meant it as this the short version of her name.

And it actually just kind of works as another term. Right, it does. But it's so ridiculous. You know, she is, her description of what happens in our system is just like bonkers. If what they could do is just make this occur, why haven't they done it? Right.

She's in office currently. Why haven't, if you could just do it, why haven't you done it? Because they haven't gotten rid of the filibuster yet. Yeah. As soon as they get rid of the filibuster, They'll be doing, you know, they'll be doing all those things. Hey, last night I did a TV show on, you know, some of her policies. And it's not going to.

Was it about who owns skyscrapers? No. No. No. It was who's giving her money right now. And it's weird because the people who are all behind the green, you know, the new green deal or green new deal. Yeah. They're, they're all, they're giving her millions and millions of dollars for her campaign.

And you would think if she's not for all of the stuff for the green new deal, that you You would stop giving her the money. You'd be upset with her. Why are you abandoning all the values you've promised that you supported in the past? Correct. Let me go cut eight. Here's a little bit from last night's TV show. If the current green activist regime continues, you will lose so much money.

Over the past year, U.S. electricity prices rose another 3.6%, which outpaced the inflation rate. In 2022, the price of electricity grew 10.7 percent, which, which was a price of electricity grew 10.7 percent, which was the highest year-over-year increase since the year 2000. Since Joe Biden took office, home electricity prices have increased around 20 percent, with Americans now paying over $5,000 more per year on utilities compared to what they paid before the Biden White House. Now, there was a C-Net survey this summer found 78 percent of Americans are a little stressed over the rising home energy costs. We're going into the winter. Who's psyched for it? 32% having to borrow money or go on to payment plans to pay their energy bills.

A third. Now, in California, which is the standard-bearer state when it comes to all things green energy, electricity rates have necessarily gone up over three times faster than the national average since 2008. Last year, Californians owed over $2 billion in unpaid utility bills. bills. Who's going to who's going to pay that off? We will. We will.

No state has mandated the adoption of solar power more than California, yet its power bills just keep going up. In fact, they now have this weird problem of producing too much solar energy. During certain times of the year, there's an

oversupply of solar power that overwhelms transmission lines and some areas of California. When that happens, the electricity just goes back into space. Already this year, the state wasted 2.6 million megawatt hours of electricity, which NBC News reported is enough to power all of the homes in San Francisco for a year. And by the way, have you tried doing any green energy conversions at your own home? I have. You don't want to see my bills. Oh, it is. It's absolutely unreasonable. Solar panel technology has been around now for decades, yet the average cost of

installing a solar panel system for your home is still $25,000. I wish. To retrofit your home appliances to comply with the new Biden and Harris efficiency standards, that's only going to cost you $9,000. Then there's another $16,000 to buy and install the electric heat pump that Biden and Harris want everybody to have and use. And then their Inflation Reduction Act law, it actually encourages people to convert to the heat pump, but that'll only shave $8,000 off the price. Oh, and by the way, even though the law was passed two years ago,

those rebates still aren't available, but we super duper promise they will. Altogether, the Biden-Harris green mandate will add 31,000, to the cost of a new home. But what's that? I mean, that's no big deal, right? Now, they think they're earning their green merit badges by helping to save the planet, but all they're really doing is kicking regular Americans down the stairs.

They're super, super pro-choice, except when it comes to green stuff. Then, you must do what we say or you shall die. Yeah. So that sounds like a good plan, doesn't it? it sounds like a good plan. We're going to make housing less expensive by giving you money. That's redistribution of wealth. We're going to give it to illegal immigrants.

Oh, instead of veterans or our own homeless? Yes, because they're in super need. Oh, okay. So you're going to put them up in current housing when, we have a housing shortage here that's going to make it more expensive, you know. Well, don't worry about it. We have the money. We'll take care of it. Okay. But you spending all that money also makes it more expensive through inflation. Why are you being so, why do you hate migrants so much? This is truly the plan to make it so you don't own anything. If we don't

get out the vote. If these guys win, you're not going to be able to afford any poverty in this country will look more like Venezuela than any kind of poverty we've ever dealt with. More in just a minute. You know, I've said it a million times and I'll say it again, you are the first responder in an emergency situation. You don't wait for them. You are the first responder, and sometimes that means using deadly force. But a lot of times that situation doesn't call for deadly violence. We will see, of course, on the other side of that. And we will see what the ramifications were with a tough interview she got from

Stephanie Rule last night. Wow, that was. I'm concerned for Kamala's campaign. Did you, I mean, did you really pay attention? That was rigorous. It was rigorous. I watched the entire thing. We went live on YouTube.

afterward and I was screaming at the camera most of the time after. But listen to this setup for a quick. This is one of her tough pushback questions, by the way. Over the past four years, there have been tremendous economic wins. This is a question. This is not Kamala Harris responding to a question. This is a question from the journalist, Stephanie Ruhl. You can't stop using that word?

I mean, she did massacre journalism last night. Yeah. It was a- It was a chalk outline on my TV screen. I don't even know because it was just parts all over the room. It was like a saw sequel. Yeah. What happened to journalism.

Bad. Yes. Over the last four years, there have been tremendous economic wins. And you just laid out a big plan. I want to just say, sorry, I'm starting this because this is the time she pushed back on Harris. This is this tough part of the interview. And Harris says, yes. Yes.

Okay. Then she says, Stephanie rule, but still, polling shows that more, most likely voters, think Donald Trump is better to handle the economy. Why do you think that is? Now, that's as tough as it gets here. Now, she says, well, here's what we know in terms of the facts from Kamala Harris. Donald Trump left us with the worst economy since the Great Depression. Oh, my gosh. When you look at, for example, the unemployment numbers. Now, just as a journalism student, Glenn, if you were in first Dave, what would be the thing you'd point out about that? As an uneducated journalist, I would point out that, you know, there was COVID and the governments all over the world shut the economy down.

With full support from people like Humphala Harris. Right, right, right. In fact, they didn't think they went harsh enough. Right. And wanted to extend it farther. Right. But you'll be surprised to hear that Stephanie Ruhl did step up and push back a little bit. Yeah, did she?

She said it was during COVID and unemployment was so high because we just shut down the government. We shut down the country. Right. Harris's response, even before the pandemic, he lost manufacturing jobs by most people's estimates at least 200,000. He lost manufacturing plants. Ask the auto workers how he lost auto plants. Now, this isn't true at all. Okay. Donald Trump did not lose 200,000 manufacturing jobs. He actually gained 414,000 manufacturing jobs before the pandemic. Is that after he lost the 200,000? thousand or before no no this is right before COVID okay he had gained 414,000 so not lost 200

000 could have gained 600,000 and then also lost 200,000 that's how he got yeah yeah all right that makes sense that could be that yeah and also you know what did the Trump economy leave us she said it was the worst economy due to job record that's what they said employment status of course that isn't even true now that one I wouldn't even to push back on because, okay, well, yeah, we all know that the economy was really bad. Correct. However, that isn't even true because, yes, it hit 14.8% unemployment. It was, you know, obviously horrible at that point during the peak of COVID when everyone

was home. The Great Depression was like 25%. Well, yeah, she said the, what was the actual quote from Kamala? It was, I don't happen in front of me, but she said it was, you know, last couple of decades Yeah, it was like something a little bit more recent. I don't think she included that. But what she leaves out is that the economy had largely bounced back to normal levels by the time they took over. It was 6.4% unemployment when they took over.

I mean, I had forgotten it had come back that much before they even got into office. It was 14.8 came all the way back to 6.4. You and I, Glenn, have been doing the show a long time. I remember normal years where it was 6.4%. It was like kind of normal. status, maybe a little bit on the negative side of the economy, but 4% was it was full employment. Yeah. Three. Three is actually three and three. Between three and four. I think it moved from four to three as the years went on. Right. But like three to four percent has always been included, you know, you're in a pretty good situation as far as employment goes. It was already gone all the way back to six point four before they even took over. So that was from the end. That's from the anticipation of the unburdening your. yourself from the past. From what has been? From what it's been. Oh, you're right.

Do you have a Venn diagram that would explain that to me? Oh, I love Venn diagrams, but I left mine on my yellow school bus. But I think we all, I mean, we all love yellow school buses. I love them. I think it's because we all went to school on a yellow school bus. Yes, remember that. Oh, man. School bus. That is great. Well, I came from a, you know, middle class neighborhood. You did?
