The Glenn Beck Program - Best of the Program | 10/22/26

Episode Date: October 22, 2026

What is Black October? Glenn breaks down the newest tech term describing the last 10 days, which exposed a major flaw in the software that runs almost every website. What was the security flaw? A back... door that allowed hackers to use cheap AI tools to break in and steal personal data from places like schools and doctors' offices. The family of Blackfeet Chief John Two Guns White Calf are asking the Washington NFL team to restore his face on the Washington Redskins logo, claiming that they were never asked before it was removed in 2020. Glenn reads an op-ed from a member of his staff that accuses the Democratic Socialists of America of being filled with privileged arts graduates who are dressing up as working-class heroes.  Learn more about your ad choices. Hey, we started with a warning today on Black October and Digital DefCon because something else is happening called Black October. Nobody's talking about.
Starting point is 00:00:43 And your data has most likely been breached at some point here in the last 10 days. More hacking has gone on from AI agents than ever before in like a year's worth has happened in 10 days. Also, the Washington Redskins, you know, they took that name away. I don't know if you know the full story of this, because now the family of the guy who was on the helmet, they're really upset and they're finally being heard. And who are all these Marxists? I'll tell you who they are. They're all theater kids.
Starting point is 00:01:14 And I'll explain what that means on today's podcast. You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program. Okay. There is a new term the tech world has just come out with. This is a breaking story. and the new term is Black October. Black October is what they're using now to describe the last 10 days. In a normal year, you will get one or two computer security disasters big enough for the evening news.
Starting point is 00:01:58 This week, they have arrived almost by the hour. One watchdog on X counted 27 in the last 10 days. Some online say the swarm of roguer, rogue AI agents is behind all of it. The evidence does not show that, at least at my understanding, at my level, yet. Most websites are run on a software called PHP, roughly 7 out of 10, okay? Think of PHP as plumbing behind the walls. You never see it.
Starting point is 00:02:33 It's, you know, in every house, in every neighborhood. Well, this week, we just learned that plumbing, that plumbing, that plumbing, HP, had a hidden back door, and strangers could walk in and run that house without a key. The news leaked before the fix, and burglars came. Cloudflare watched break-in attempts go from thousands to millions in hours. The NSA said, patch now or shut everything down, some governments actually shut down. I'm just hearing about this. You probably are too. Now, who found the flaw?
Starting point is 00:03:19 AI. Good news. Except AI is also the bad guy. Bad guys have the same tools. You don't run a web server, but your doctor's office does. So does your kid's school. So does your church. Until the plumbing is fixed, a stranger can walk out with your name, address and all of your records. Reuters reported that one hacker who turned AI agents loose on more than 1,200 websites
Starting point is 00:03:52 has broken into more than a hundred of them, including John Deere. The cost, the researcher estimates, is about $50 a break-in. Now, here's why this is a problem. Burglars used to need a crew, a van, months of casing the neighborhood. Now, for 50 bucks, he can rent a robot that will jiggle every doorknob on the block while he's asleep. CrowdStrike found four more groups doing the same exact thing. One hit at least 15 health organizations, and their trick was telling the AI that they've been hired to test security. So the burglar tells the locksmith, it's my house, I locked myself out.
Starting point is 00:04:41 and the locksmith opens the door. Now, it isn't on all screens. In France, hackers force the refrigerators in about 700 supermarkets to defrost. The food went into a dumpster. A California education contractor lost personal information on millions of students. And this is where the danger for most of us lives today. Phone numbers, shopping histories. You know, it'll make a scammer go, hey,
Starting point is 00:05:11 This is your pharmacy, and there's a problem with your order, and then you click on that. The question is, is it a swarm? Researchers did find one fleet of AI agents on Chinese cloud grabbing leaked keys, but they didn't find any sign yet that the AI agents are coordinating. More than a thousand robot vacuums in a very big house just bumping into doors until something opens. That's what it looks like. like so far. Plenty of old-fashioned carelessness as well.
Starting point is 00:05:47 One company that got hit left its master passwords in plain text. It's like leaving your, you know, key under the doormat. What's changed now is the price. When a burglary cost about $50, no one is too small to rob. So here's what I have put together so we can chart these things. I've put a digit defcon chart down. You know how we go to DefCon 1, and that means the planes are in the air and we're about to drop bombs. So I've made it the same.
Starting point is 00:06:23 DefCon 1 is the worst. But let me show you where we are. DefCon 10, digit DefCon 10, is just its background. No, he's nothing to worry about. 8 and 9 is there's one company or two companies that are breached. Not a problem. Number seven is there's a new threat. There's no damage yet, but there's a new threat warning.
Starting point is 00:06:50 Six is widespread exposure. Your data has likely been stolen or is likely going to be stolen. DefCon 5 active waves hitting every server. That's bad. That's why I was saying, is this a swarm or not? DefCon 4. Stores, Banks, hospitals are now offline. in some places.
Starting point is 00:07:14 Three, power, water, phones will be down regionally for days. DefCon 2, national banking or grid integrity in doubt and DefCon 1 is unplug. System cannot be trusted for anything. Don't get into your
Starting point is 00:07:30 self-driving car. Don't do anything. That's DefCon 1. So, you know, hugging face was DefCon 7. Warning, new threat, no damage. It was just, we're seeing them start to organize. New threat.
Starting point is 00:07:46 This Black October is a DefCon 6. Widespread exposure, your data has been or will likely be stolen. That's not good. We're at the very beginning of this and we're at DefCon 6. So want to let you know it's called Black October. You can look it up for yourself. Jason, any questions? Is that, am I explaining this well enough?
Starting point is 00:08:14 We didn't even get a chance to talk about this. This story is just breaking now. It does. I was interested when you said, hugging face is DefCon 7. And at first I was going to say, no, I think it's DefCon 1. But I get what you're saying
Starting point is 00:08:25 because it's a warning of what could be a reality coming soon. Because the details of that, I never really went through them until I saw a documentary on it a couple of days ago. Oh my gosh. If that is the warning, Yeah. So I say it's DefCon 7 because there was no damage done.
Starting point is 00:08:46 It was just, oh dear God, look what it can do. Capability, yeah. Yeah, the capability is there. So if it was actually doing things that were hacking into water systems, stores, banks, or anything else, hugging face could go DefCon 1 in a minute, in a minute. But there was no evidence of that. It was just, oh, dear, look what this. can do, look what it's doing, but so far it is only broken in to be able to find answers to
Starting point is 00:09:16 something it was looking for. Would you agree with it now? Yes. And it actually makes me even more worried about some of these, not only of what the capability is, but also what these corporations and AI developers, because what they're going to want going forward to continue doing this work. We already talked about bailouts and giving them some kind of partnership with the government, which is horrifying to me. So horrifying. But I think that they're both trying to do that. Now, Glenn, I also think that they are legitimately scared to death. I think they are.
Starting point is 00:09:53 I think it's both. I think it's absolutely both. They know they're playing with fire. Here's why this one is higher on the scale. First of all, it has broken in and is stealing data. so it's higher because of that widespread exposure. Your data has likely been stolen or will be stolen. Black October, the reason why it's scary is it's $50 per break-in.
Starting point is 00:10:18 You can get somebody, I mean, think of the money. Just think of the money that is flowing around in the, you know, in the NGO world that wants to change the world. Think about what's flowing into the Marxist and the DSA and the, and, Antifa and all of the things that are trying to destroy the Western world. At $50 a break-in, you can afford to have a swarm, just go out and just cause chaos nonstop. That's what's scary about these agents is now it is so cheap to be able to just knock on doors. Just knock on doors. See who's home.
Starting point is 00:11:01 See if the jiggle the doorknob. See if you can get in. you start doing that and you're looking for power, you're looking for light, you're looking for water, you're looking for banking, you're going to find it, you're going to find it, and it's cheap. This is why I have said, and I'm starting to get people to agree with me on this, you know, in the tech world, which is really weird. There's nobody agreed with me. I used to say this is worse than nuclear well.
Starting point is 00:11:34 No, where nuclear weapons can vapor up. Uh-huh. Yeah, I know. You know why this is worse? I can't build a nuclear weapon. I have to go to Doc Brown. You know, I'm sure, I'm sure in 2027 that plutonium is on every street corner at every drugstore. No, it's not. It's not. Okay? I had to go steal it from Libyan terrorists. is cheap. Anyone can do this. So if you're sitting in an anonymous group and you want to take down Western society, you can do it. That's why this is so incredibly dangerous. And I have to tell you,
Starting point is 00:12:19 we have to have this, Ricky, let's see if we can get this digit defcon printed. Let's put it up on our website so we can chart all of these things. When there is a problem, and we hear about another swarm, We hear about another AI thing.
Starting point is 00:12:35 Let's keep charts of what's going on and let's make sure we're using this system because I'm telling you this thing could accelerate so fast. I'm telling you, I, gosh, I don't want to go here. 2027 could be very bad. 2027 could be a very, very bad year. It could, we could have lots and lots of trouble in 2027. I'm going to leave it at that for today. Let's move on. Okay. Now, let me just go into Zelensky and Putin and Trump and what's really happening. And why is everybody freaking out?
Starting point is 00:13:30 Why is everybody freaking out? We're talking to Russia. Oh, my gosh. Isn't that what we should be doing? We're trying to stop a war. Shouldn't we be talking to everybody? and look what's happening. Iran has come to the table this week and they've said, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, we'd like to talk. We'd like to talk. And Trump's like, no, I think so.
Starting point is 00:13:52 You know why they're doing that? Because it's working. Russia, come to the table this week. We'd like to talk. You know who else came to the table this week? Zelensky. Oh my gosh, Donald Trump is a monster. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:05 Looks like we're moving towards peace. Now, whether we get there or not is a different story. But I want to talk about that and so much more. Coming up in just a second. This is the best of the Glenn Beck program, and we really want to thank you for listening. I've been telling you about Patriot Mobile for several years now, and many people have made the switch, and this is for the rest of people that haven't, if it's you, what are you waiting for? Every month you stay with one of the big carriers, your money is going to a company that doesn't share your values.
Starting point is 00:14:39 For over 12 years, Patriot Mobile has put their money where their mouth is, and they've contributed millions to organizations defending the First and Second Amendments, the Sanctity of Life, and supporting our military and veterans, and first responders. They're not just a wireless company. They are activists fighting on the front lines with us, and their service is rock solid. Higher priority premium 5G on any of the three major U.S. networks, unlimited data, free international calling to over 200 countries
Starting point is 00:15:05 and 100% U.S.-based customer support. Right now, Black Friday, they got the best deal they've ever offered. A free 5G smartphone plus two months of service free. No more excuses. Go to PatriotMobil.com slash Beck Friday, or call 972 Patriot. Use the promo code Beck Friday. Free phone, two free months. Switch today, terms and conditions to apply.
Starting point is 00:15:32 This is the best of the Glenn Beck program, and we really want to thank you for listening. All right, I don't know if you've seen the news about the Redskins. The commanders. Hi, we're the commanders. I command you to watch our football team. Shut up, commanders. Ugh.
Starting point is 00:15:59 They will always be. you know he should be the Washington Redskins. But I want to give you an update on this. The family of a blackfeet chief is asking for his face back. His name was John Two Guns Whitecalf. For 50 years, he was the face on the side of every Washington Redskins helmet. Okay? And then in 2020,
Starting point is 00:16:28 we gotta get that face on the helmet. It's so horrible about white people to do this. It's so horrible. Shut up. Okay. So now his descendants have hired a lawyer and they're going public. They want the name back. They want the logo back.
Starting point is 00:16:54 They want the stadium named after their grandfather. And they're asking for a meeting with Donald Trump and believe me, he will take that meeting. Okay. So the guy who leads the estate, Kenneth Conway, put it this way. They have tried to erase us. Now listen to this. They tried to erase us like we didn't exist anymore. Another descendant said, and this I think is one of the most damning things of all,
Starting point is 00:17:24 nobody ever asked the family wait nobody asked the family what do you mean nobody asked the family you know most people don't even know who that man on the helmet was most Americans saw him every Sunday half a century never knew he was a real guy
Starting point is 00:17:45 he was born in 1872 wait till you hear this story man this is gonna oh you do gooding liberal backstabbing American hating spinesless
Starting point is 00:18:01 weasels. So a guy's born in 1872 on Blackfeet land in Montana. Now, his world is ending at that time. Buffalo were disappearing. They weren't disappearing. White men were killing the Buffalo. The reservation was shrinking.
Starting point is 00:18:21 And he spent his life doing the hardest thing a leader could do in a world like that. He went to Washington and spoke for his people. He then stood at the gates of the Glacier National Park and greeted the tourists coming in on trains. So he wanted people to know, Americans to know, there were blackfeet still there.
Starting point is 00:18:44 He claimed this and did this until the day he died. And he claimed that his face was one of the faces on the Buffalo. Nickel. Historians disagree. I disagree. It was iron tail that was on the front, but he didn't care. He wanted his people's face on the things Americans carried in his pocket because it was important that they weren't erased. So he dies in 1934.
Starting point is 00:19:11 37 years later, another blackfeet man, a tribal leader named Walter Blackie Wetzel. Blackie? Why were they calling him Blackie? Not anything to do with that, you racists. I don't mean you. I mean the liberal racists. Anyway, he held, he had led the National Congress of American Indians. And he went to the Redskins with an idea. He said, you're going to carry our name, carry a real face, not the cartoon, the actual chief.
Starting point is 00:19:44 And so he brought them the face of two guns white calf and the team put it on their helmet in 1972. And that logo was not taken from the black feet. It was given by the black feet. So when the pressure campaign heated up, Wetzel's own son said, I'm proud of it. In 2016, the Washington Post not exactly a team booster, pulled 504 Native Americans in every state. Nine in ten said it didn't offend them. Same result as a national poll found 12 years earlier. The people being defended had been asked twice, and they gave the same answer to,
Starting point is 00:20:27 times, but it didn't matter. It doesn't matter. We're white people. We know they don't even know they're being mocked. They don't even know they're being damaged. We've got to wipe them out again. Because that's exactly what happened. Summer 2020, countries on fire, sponsors and investors moved. Why? Because we told them, we're going to boycott your product if you just, if you don't stand against the Washington Redskins, because we know better than the Redskins. We know better than the Redskins. We know better than black feet. We're white. We know we're superior. And within a few weeks, the name and the face gone, replaced with something so incredibly insipid. They just literally called the team, the Washington football team for two years. And then the commanders, a name nobody asked for,
Starting point is 00:21:19 honoring nobody. I don't even know what it means. But I know we've been here before. I mean exactly the same. It's in 1879. There's this army officer. His name is Richard Pratt. And he opens a school in an old army barracks in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. And he's not a villain in his own eyes, in his own time. He's a reformer. He's enlightened. He's a friend of the Indian. He's going to save them. Okay. That's the way he's in his own head and in his own time. That's exactly who these weasels are now. This guy, okay? He has a plan.
Starting point is 00:22:05 They're savages. I've got to go in and take their children far from home. I've got to cut their hair. I've got to take their names and give them new ones. I got to punish them for speaking their own language. He says in a speech in 18, let me look this up. It was 1872, 1892. Kill the Indian in him and say,
Starting point is 00:22:28 save the man. That's his quote. Now he means this as compassion. The children at Carlyle, there's fascinating fact. Children at Carlyle, the ones he's cutting their hair, trying to kill the Indian and save the man, they decide they're going to have a football team.
Starting point is 00:22:48 And they become one of the greatest teams in America. A little Indian school beat Harvard, beat Army. One of the men who played and coached there, a man who called himself lone Dietz said he was Sue, became the head coach of a new team in Boston in 1933. 1933 is the year that Boston team took the name the Redskins.
Starting point is 00:23:17 So the name came out of a school built to erase the Native American. And what came out of the school was not erasure, it was pride. The kids, they tried to strip of everything, took to the football team and beat the sons of the men who ran the damn country. Pratt cut their hair for their own good. And in 2020, the people with the same kind of crappy-ass education cuts the chief off of their helmet for his own good. Different century, same certainty, same insurm. exact progressives. Because they know better.
Starting point is 00:24:02 They know better than the people themselves. We know better. We know what they should be proud of, what they should be allowed to be proud of. It's absolutely unbelievable. Unfricking believable. Now, I ought to tell you, if they had asked the family and had asked all the people,
Starting point is 00:24:27 is this really offensive? I wouldn't have been happy, but I would have been okay. All right. Well, they just think this is really horrible. But they didn't. They didn't. You ask them. You asked them. They said no twice.
Starting point is 00:24:42 But that's not good enough. We have to go to the faculty lounge. We've got to ask the faculty in the faculty lounge. You know, we're going to ask with a hashtag. You don't drive to Montana and ask the grandchildren of the man on the helmet. No one did. And you know why they didn't? They didn't do it because they knew they knew.
Starting point is 00:25:02 wouldn't have a problem with it. The well-meaning. That's what they never see about themselves. Every crusade like this carries a quiet insult inside of it. Every single time, oh, you're too weak. You're too pathetic to speak for yourself. You're too confused to know when you've been insulted. You're too small to be trusted with your own grandfather and your own heritage.
Starting point is 00:25:30 I can't think of anything more demeanor. than that. The tribe that survived the end of the buffalo, the shrinking of its land, the schools built to kill its culture, does not need rescuing from a football helmet. Oh, these people, gosh, they are so... Let's make sure in Ireland
Starting point is 00:26:02 that nobody's hugging their grandmother and their grandfather without, consent. We hashtag or we hyphen consent.consent.org. Shut up. I got to tell you, the surest way to make a man feel small is to speak for him while he's standing right there. The people who say this, who did this, they just say, you know, we're doing it because so much, the white man has taken so much from the Native American people. Really? You're the one who just took what they had.
Starting point is 00:26:47 They say you're erasing their history. You're saying, I'm preserving their history. You're erasing it. You're against powerful outsiders deciding what's best for the tribe, except you never asked any of them. And when you did, they gave you the same answer that was against your answer two times. Oh, you know what? here's what you know
Starting point is 00:27:23 that they don't know yet. This is all ending. This is ending. It's only a matter of time. You're already seeing it. It started with COVID. It started to chip away. It started to fall apart.
Starting point is 00:27:34 People are like, I've had enough of this. And I got to tell you, they're going to double down after this election. They're going to double down. You think it was bad then? Do you remember what it was like under Obama? And then Trump lost in 2020. And all of a sudden, you're like,
Starting point is 00:27:48 oh my gosh, these people are monsters. what are they doing? All of a sudden, they're telling you that you got to trans your kid. And you're like, wait a minute, I didn't vote for any of that. You thought that was bad? They win this election. They're going to double down again. And most of us are really tired of people being rescued by people who never asked.
Starting point is 00:28:12 You can hear it in the stands. You can hear it in that family in Montana. Who just wanted somebody to knock on their door and just say, hey, what do you think? John Tugan's white calf spent his life making sure America would not forget his people. He stood at the park gate. He went to Washington. He wanted his face in your pocket.
Starting point is 00:28:43 For 50 years, he got his wish. And then white people. Do-gooding, over-educated white people said that he can't have that. they're the same bigoted racist that they were in the 1800s. It's an embarrassment. It wasn't an embarrassment. He was a chief. I hope this family,
Starting point is 00:29:11 I hope they can find a way to sue. In the end, they're going to get his face back on the, his face is going to be back on the helmet. Mark my words, because America is sick and tired of this. And restoring what honor he wants. wanted his whole life to remind you that the black feet were people that existed here.
Starting point is 00:29:43 They want it back. And it's high time. We give it back to them. Back in a minute. You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program. So on a base, what I have to say, on a monologue or an op-ed piece that was at glenbeck.com earlier this week. And it was made by Michaela, who's absolutely one of my favorite people on Earth. She is so bright.
Starting point is 00:30:34 She is so, she's a really godly woman and very, very smart and compassionate. She's better than most of us combined, I think. And here's her flaws. She has a degree in acting. Okay? What a worth. So she has a degree in acting. And she married a guy.
Starting point is 00:30:54 and I'm not making this up that went to clown school. Now, the Harvard of clown schools, don't get me wrong, it's the Harvard of clown schools, but it's still a clown school, okay? And she has played an angel and a Greek goddess
Starting point is 00:31:10 and an astronaut's wife and all of the other crap that every, you know, every actor, you know, has ever played, okay? She knows the arts. And so she came to me, and she's like, Glenn, I want to write an op-ed for Glenn.
Starting point is 00:31:24 com. And I said, okay, what do you want to write about? And she said, I recognize these Democratic Socialists. And I recognize them in a way most people will miss. So she did. And I want you to go to Glenbeck.com and read it. Midterms are right around the corner. DSA is on the rise. Most of us are watching and go, what are these people thinking? Who votes for socialists? And to answer that question, let me take you back to the 2016 aspiring young rapper named Young Cardamom. We now know him as Mayor Zoran Mamdani. Same year, the same year, a young woman from a
Starting point is 00:32:11 middle class family in Lubbock, Texas, had just moved to New York to become a painter. And she paid the rent working at Taco Bell and Trader Joe's and Peacobacco. And today she's a state assembly woman. And this summer she won the Democratic primary for Congress with Bernie Sanders in her corner. And a Yale man who studied literature and sculpture and was selling other people's art in a Chelsea gallery. You know, one of the nice Chelsea galleries. It's like the Harvard of clown schools. Today he's the co-chair of the New York City DSA, drawing $95,000 a year plus benefits. He lives in Brooklyn.
Starting point is 00:32:52 in a townhouse. His parents bought and renovated worth about a million and a half bucks. His father built a construction business. And for years, his social media handle has been Union Gustavo. And his profile says Union electrician. But that's not really true. The electrician's union threw him out of its apprenticeship for not showing up to work or to class. But his profile still says Union. It's kind of like, I'm a doctor.
Starting point is 00:33:24 I've never really actually seen a patient, but I'm a doctor. I got the coat. So you have a rapper, the painter, and a sculptor. That's the bench of the largest socialist organization in American history. Now with more than 120,000 dues paying members, this is the head of it. So who are these people? Well, Nate Silver came out, and he had a great answer for it. He said, highly educated and downwardly mobile.
Starting point is 00:33:58 You did everything you were told. They did everything. You got, you went to a good school. You got good grades. You got a degree that your professors told you would be as noble as medicine, except it wasn't medicine. Then you graduated, and the engineering major down the hall got a six-figure offer, and you got an apron.
Starting point is 00:34:19 At a place you didn't need to study. go work at. That hurts. The rent is real. The loans are real. Now, frying tacos is an honest work that nobody should ever sneer at, but at the moment every young person chooses between two conclusions. One is, I need to find something that's going to, that will pay. The other is the system is rigged against the people who see the world as it should be, and I'm one of those people. The second one feels better. It does. It turns your disappointment into a cause.
Starting point is 00:34:58 I don't have to change. The world has to change. Come on, let's all change it together. And believe me, drama people are full of drama. Now comes the second problem. The circles where these people live. Privilege is the worst thing you can have. And many of these aspiring artists turned DSA,
Starting point is 00:35:21 leaders have privilege. I was taking tap when I was five. I took piano and voice and summer programs and I had a mom who drove me to every audition and a dad who paid for the fine arts degree. It was the bravest thing I've ever done. In the article, Michaela says, plainly, outside of rare cases, the arts
Starting point is 00:35:45 are not a poor kid's game. True. It's absolutely true. And nobody wants to be a starving artist. Nobody does. So what do you do with a rich father in a room where rich fathers are the villain? Well, you have a couple of choices. You can confess it. Or you can put on a costume. A hard hat. A union card. The name of a trade you never finished.
Starting point is 00:36:15 I'm a union electrician, are you? You sound like a kid who grew up with privilege that didn't want to do any. work whatsoever and now you're hiding behind that. And the artists, you know, the art world, very good at costumes. They get it. They're very good at acting. Good at getting attention. Making a room feel something, anything.
Starting point is 00:36:41 Taking that applause, taking that bow. That is the job. On a stage, it's a gift. In politics, it's the audience getting played. Now, don't get me wrong, we run a costume shop too. I mean, I have brand new car heart clothing up at my ranch. I've never mended offense. Never, never done it.
Starting point is 00:37:08 I mean, I drive my pickup truck because I like it, not because I have to. I have people that run my ranch. I'm not going anywhere near the pregnancy check for my cattle. I'm not sticking my arm up there. I'm not doing it. Okay. Same shop, different rack. We all wear costumes from time to time.
Starting point is 00:37:28 Okay. But this is dangerous because let me take you back to Russia. Summer of 1874. Thousands of university students, many of them sons and daughters of the landowners and the officials and, you know, and the czars and all of these people. They've got diamonds and Fabragee eggs. And they decide the revolution is going to come for the peasants.
Starting point is 00:37:53 All somebody has to do is go out and go out and get. get the villages to wake them up. So they put costumes on. Rough peasant shirts, bark shoes, not making that up, bark shoes. Some of them learn to cobble boots or saw lumber so they'll have a tray to hide behind. No, I'm just like you. They called it going out to the people. And they walk out into the countryside carrying pamphlets to explain how the peasants are being so badly cheated. And the peasants look at them. And they're then the stories say they looked at their hands and they realized you're a total fraud you speak like the city you don't have a single callous on a single hand and they were explaining to the village
Starting point is 00:38:40 men who had who had never left it oh no this is what's happening and the village men are looking at it like you're not you're not a peasant okay and the peasant quietly listened politely then they walked down the road and turned them into the police more than a thousand of these frauds were arrested. One trial alone had nearly 200 defendants. Now, the students didn't go home and rethink anything. Some of them decided that if the people wouldn't be persuaded, then the people would have to be acted for. And so they stopped printing pamphlets and started bombing buildings. Okay? They started building bombs and setting them off. 1881, they killed czar. Not just any czar, the one who had 20 for 20 years had freed the serfs.
Starting point is 00:39:35 They murdered the man who freed the peasants in the name of the peasants because the peasants wouldn't follow them. See, this is where the costume goes when the audience stops clapping, not to humility, to contempt. And the audience is about to stop clapping for these people. Because it's going to figure it out. It's only a matter of time. If the working man won't believe you, then he has to be stupid or brainwashed or voting against his own interests or a traitor to his own race. You've heard the phrase over and over again. We're living in 1874 podcast right now. That's what's happening.
Starting point is 00:40:19 Think about the electrician who didn't finish the apprenticeship. Five and a half years up before dawn, night classes after a full. job, you know, on a bad job site, a bad shoulder by 40. He's the man the costume was borrowed from and is now sitting on that guy that never did anything. Think about the woman who is still, you know, working at friar at 45, long after the painter passed through on her way to Congress. I don't need somebody to play them. Do you know the story of Marie Antoinette?
Starting point is 00:41:00 Do you know why the French people were so angry at her? It's not the cake thing. Let them eat cake. That probably was never even said. And if it was, it wasn't like, we'll let them eat cake. It was, in her world, cake was so plentiful. Well, there's plenty of cake. If they don't have bread, why don't they just have cake?
Starting point is 00:41:22 There's always cake around. That phrase was more about her just being so out of touch. But do you know who she was? Do you know that by the time of the revolution came, she wasn't even living in the palace? She was so sickened by the palace. She was so disgusted by living that life. And she couldn't go anywhere because she was the queen. So she had to live at Versailles.
Starting point is 00:41:46 But she lived like, I think it was like a mile away. I mean, I was just there. It's astounding that more people don't know this. She actually built a second palace on the, on the, on the, site of Versailles. And she was living there. And all of the elites were pissed at her because why? She's living at this palace that she had all of this wood brought in and all of this stuff brought in. She built it to look like a peasant's town. And then she had clothing made to make her look like a peasant, even though she wasn't a peasant and she wasn't living a peasant's life. And she would go out and she'd milk the cow.
Starting point is 00:42:27 and she was living the life of a regular everyday person, but it wasn't an everyday person. And so when the people finally stormed the gates of Versailles and saw that, they hated her. Because they're like, look at she's mocking us. That's what's coming, gang. You are living the life of Marie Antoinette. You're dressing up as a union worker,
Starting point is 00:42:50 and you're not a union worker. And when the people find out who you are, they're not going to be happy. these people just need somebody to hear them. And when you ask them what they want, they rarely say abolish the Senate or, you know, public ownership of large corporations. They're starting to. They'll just say, instead, I want people to lower the rent.
Starting point is 00:43:19 I want somebody to leave my paycheck alone. I want my kids to do better than me. The last one is a tell because people in costumes are the kids who, did not do better than their parents. And they decided that it was everybody else's fault that they didn't do better than their parents. So what do you take out of this? This is the best of the Glenn Beck program.
