It's actually about all of those things and so much more. more. Also, Trump's show of power, you know, this is not a regime change. This was the opportunity
Starting point is 00:00:39 to give the citizens of Venezuela an honest vote. That's why he left somebody who's not a fan of Donald Trump, not a fan really of America or capitalism in as the president. He did not regime change this. Is it going to work? I don't know. So if you believe in what we're doing, you want more people to wake up, help us push this podcast to the top. Rate, review, share. Together, we'll make a difference. And thanks for standing with us. Now let's get to work. You're listening to
Starting point is 00:02:30 the best of the blend. Venezuela and where we are. The real, the hard truth on all of this is that we have to argue about the constitutionality of this. Bombing a foreign capital,
Starting point is 00:02:59 capturing a head of state, I mean, that is an act of war, really, by most definitions. But here's the harder truth. And I'm not saying that makes it right. I'm saying this is why we have to have this conversation. Every modern president has crossed this line.
Starting point is 00:03:16 This is not a Trump problem. This is a systemic failure. And it has gone back decades. That doesn't make it right, but it makes it real. So what is this all about? I just told you it's not about oil for us, but it is about oil. It's not about drugs. But it is about drugs.
Starting point is 00:03:36 It's not about terror. Oh, yes, it is about terror. I mean, let me start with drugs. Drugs, the cartel of the sons. The sons, the reason why they call. call it the sons is on our lapels. When you have a general, you have stars. They have sons on their lapels.
Starting point is 00:03:53 Okay, so you'll have a three-son general. That cartel is one of the nastiest cartels in the world, and it is run by the generals of the government of Venezuela. So is this about drugs? Yes, it is. Is it about terror? Yes. We've told you over and over again about the island, and Jason will get into this probably at the top of the hour a little bit more on the insider feed.
Starting point is 00:04:25 But we've talked about the island off the coast of Venezuela that is in bed with China, Russia, and Iran. And Hezbollah actually comes and trains Venezuelans to be a part of this cartel. And they use all of the tactics of Islamic terror. and then they, after their training on the island, they actually finished their training off by going to Iran. So is this about terror? Yes. Also, FARC. We have been fighting FARC in Colombia forever.
Starting point is 00:04:59 We have soldiers on the ground in Colombia helping fight FARC. That is a Marxist communist. And then you have on top of that, you have the terror of the Islamists also. coming from Venezuela. So is it about drugs? Yes. Is it about terror? Yes. Is it about hemispheric control? Yes, it is. It absolutely is. If America can restore the rule of law, honest capitalism, national sovereignty, and freedom here in America, we will set more people free than any other power that could possibly replace us. Trump believes this, and I do as well.
Starting point is 00:05:51 But time's not on our side. You have financial systems that are cracking, empires that are falling. AI is accelerating everything, and the world has to choose. We have to. And whether people realize it or not, the last election made that choice. This is what America first looks like, long term. not isolation, not chaos, strategy, strength, and a true will to win. Let me tell you, you know, I have up on a chalkboard a couple of things.
Starting point is 00:06:30 Hemisphere control. You watch, if this goes the way I think it looks like it is going right now, Cuba may fall, Colombia may fall, Mexico may have to clean itself up. we may have a we may have a completely dimped different hemisphere because of what is happening right now we may have Iran falling do you know what that means to the world if Iran the leader in Islamic terror falls that is a huge win a huge win but also a huge win for the U.S. military we have been hearing that the military is weak blah blah blah and we saw we've we've seen what they've been doing with Ray's and Kane.
Starting point is 00:07:20 We've seen what they did to ISIS. We see how they can clean things up when we set our minds to it. Can we get Jason on real quick, Sarah? I think you have to move. Because I want to talk a little bit about, can he stay there? I want to get Jason, Jason, talk about, and we'll talk about a little bit more next hour, but talk about the message this sent to China and Russia
Starting point is 00:07:46 and the rest of the world. on our military. I've never seen a military operate. I thought that what happened with Israel was an insane, you know, against Iran was an insane military operation, just in capability. I've never seen effectively a two-hour war be pulled off before, but that's exactly what happened. Venezuela is full of Chinese technology that operates their air defense, radars, all that
Starting point is 00:08:11 stuff, Russian air defense missiles that were supposed to be the most hardened system. in Latin America due to our adversaries, China and Russia. And we made it look like it was, I don't know, they ordered it off at Timu. It was absolutely insane. They have some tech that I don't even know about. And I was in military intelligence not too long ago. But yeah, you're very scared. You're rethinking everything right now.
Starting point is 00:08:41 If you are going to, let's say, a global gun show, if you were, where the countries are selling their military technology, you'd be walking up to the counter with China and go, wait a minute, wasn't this the system that was in Venezuela, where America flew helicopters, low flying, slow helicopters into the country,
Starting point is 00:09:09 and we completely disabled their defense. If you listen to what Donald Trump talked about, he said that this was the, first time space force was involved. So we have something up in space that we used to completely shut everything down in Venezuela. I don't think that's ever been done before. Has it, Jason? Not to this magnitude. This is what, I mean, you've talked about this over the years, how scary it's getting with, you know, cyber capability. And that is the new salvo of major conflicts. Well, if you heard Donald Trump when he addressed the nation, what he described, he mentioned this or teased a lot of it.
Starting point is 00:09:54 He said, we had certain capabilities, and he said all the lights went out. What that means was, as the helos and the assault team, the breaching team were flying in as all the aircraft was flying overhead, that was probably a cyber attack. It knocked out early warning detection. It knocked out power. the future of warfare is terribly scary but it's clear now to our enemies that that is
Starting point is 00:10:20 a capability that we have, that we have mastered and we're willing to employ it at any time. There was a plane, I think it was called the E6, right? Is that what it's called? The intelligence plane? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:33 The one that would fly in and could shut things down, but they had to all fly in first and they could shut, you know, power grids somewhat. They could disrupt communications. but not like this. I don't know if we've replaced the E6 now with something in space.
Starting point is 00:10:50 But again, if you are looking at what America does and you're a military person, you realize, oh my gosh, America is not some aircraft carrier kind of old-timey system. they are still leading the world in military. Because this was not like the leftovers from the 1970s from China. This was the latest stuff from Russia and China, correct? So they're basically. I mean, they didn't give them their absolute best stuff. But yeah, it was not next gen, but it was very, very modern.
Starting point is 00:11:33 Like the S300 missile system, which they are now over the S300, but it's still very, very capable, very similar to like what? Iran would use to protect their airspace. But it went way beyond even just, you know, technological capability. It also showed like insane planning. I mean, I think a lot of people don't understand that the air base that we went in and did the assault where Maduro was hiding. That's considered the Pentagon of Venezuela. So just imagine that. It's considered the Pentagon of Venezuela. And we just flew straight in. I mean, this was an operation months in planning. You probably look back until like maybe August, July August.
Starting point is 00:12:12 They would have had to have inserted covert CIA operatives at that time just to get eyes on Maduro, find him, track him, get his, I can't remember what they used to call it, not proof of life, but basically what they're doing is tracking every single one of his movement to find out where he is every single day, 24 hours, seven days a week. They did that for months and then did this operation. So well planned. Glenn, two hours, and it was over.
Starting point is 00:12:40 I know, we used to say that Israel in the six-day war was amazing. This is a two-hour war. Yeah. And, I mean, you've just taken a very well-prepared state and taken the head of state out in the middle of the night. Oh, and by the way, people are saying, oh, yeah, and we killed a bunch of soldiers. We killed 34 people. They were Cubans. what does that tell you?
Starting point is 00:13:09 They were Cubans. What were the Cubans doing there? Not making sandwiches for the troops. What were the Cubans doing in Venezuela that put them in harm's way? This just shows, and next hour we're going to show you, this is, again, this is Donald Trump taking apart a system that we have allowed to grow and allowed to metastas. Most metastasize. We are at the point now. If we don't do radical surgery, it will metastasize and it will kill the West. He's doing radical surgery. Remember when he first came in, there were two things that he said, Panama Canal and what was the other thing he said? Like right off the bat where he was like, yeah, I swear to defend the Constitution, blah, blah, blah. Hey, look, Panama Canal and Greenland? Greenland. Yeah. So help me God. Okay. And. We're all like, wait a minute, what? Panama Canal?
Starting point is 00:14:08 What are you talking about? We found out that was the beginning of this doctrine. And Greenland. Why did he say that? Because that was the other part of this, rare earth minerals. Do you see what he said after Venezuela? We don't need Greenland now. This shows this is a well-thought-out plan.
Starting point is 00:14:32 This is a very well-thought-out plan. Would we like to have the resources of Greenland? I'm sure we would. But we have now made so many. And he's saying, you know, I got brought peace here. I brought peace here. I brought peace here. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:45 But we didn't do that for nothing. We did that to make strategic allies to be able to have control of certain elements that are required for the United States to be able to write a new chapter in the AI world. This is the most American. You may not like it, but it is the most America first thing I have ever seen. This is the best of the Glenn Beck program. Welcome to the Glenn Beck program. I'm glad you're here.
Starting point is 00:15:20 It's a new year, new attitude, and a renewed sense of mission with the torch. We'll give you more information on that as we go on, but you can watch this program. As you normally do on Blaze, you can listen to it on radio as you normally do, but there is a different option now. We have reduced the commercial load by 75%. And in place of that, we've put information in there on everything that we're talking about. There's a show that is running alongside this show that you'll see when the network goes into commercial break. You get all of that additional information. And Jason is filling in a lot of stuff, especially today, is a good day for Jason just to look at what's happening with the military in Venezuela.
Starting point is 00:16:06 This was an amazing operation in Venezuela. And, you know, it's, it's incredible how, you know, I don't know if you saw this, Margaret Brennan, she was talking to Marco Rubio. This is cut five. And it's amazing how the press just doesn't ever seem to get it. They just don't, they get all kinds of stuff. But this, nope, they just don't understand. Listen.
Starting point is 00:16:32 I'm confused. Are they still wanted by the United States? Why didn't you arrest them if you are taking out the, narco terrorist regime. You're confused? I don't know why that's confusing to you. They're still in power. It's very simple. We're not going to go in and wrap up. You're going to, but yeah, but you can't go, you're going to go in and suck up five people. They're already complaining about this one operation. Imagine the howls we would have from everybody else if we actually had to go and stay there four days to capture four other people.
Starting point is 00:17:00 We got the top priority. The number one person on the list was the guy who claimed to be the president of the country that he was not. And he was arrested along with his wife, indicted and that was a pretty sophisticated and frankly complicated operation it was it is not easy to land helicopters in the middle of the largest military base in the country the guy lived on a military base land within three minutes kicked down his door grab them put him in handcuffs read him his rights put him in a helicopter and leave the country without losing any American or any American assets that's not an easy mission and you're asking me why didn't we do that in five other places at the same time
Starting point is 00:17:34 I mean that's absurd the others who are also indicted are still in place so That's the point of my questioning there. But you talked about not being the legitimate president. So you wanted us to land in five other military bases? No, I'm asking why you chose that this was the limit of the military operation. But to your point that you just made that Maduro was not the legitimate president. He was the guy was claiming to be the president. Right.
Starting point is 00:17:59 Well, the opposition. He was the top target. Oh, my gosh. I mean, how many, you know, if we would have done it with five other people, they would have said, two things because it probably would not have gone as well. I mean, that would have been an impossibly complex mission. And so we probably would have lost people. And then they would have celebrated the loss and said, you know, how horrible Donald Trump is on that. And the other thing is they would have been saying regime change, regime change, regime change. I thought Donald
Starting point is 00:18:29 Trump was against regime change. Yes, he is. That's why we left the vice president in place. It's still the same regime, even though we feel it's illegitimate. We left the regime and now they're going to have elections, free and fair elections and let the people decide. We're taking the kingpin out. That's how you do things. I don't. She would have been confused if we would have gone in in World War II and taken Hitler? How come you only talk Hitler?
Starting point is 00:19:05 Well, it'll probably fall apart one. Hitler's gone. What do you think? You know, it's, it's incredible to me. And if you would have killed everybody around Hitler, then, you know, the press today would be like, and they killed everybody without a trial. They just went in and just took them all and killed them all. Oh, please.
Starting point is 00:19:30 And you have an ethical approach right from the media. It's like, well, you know, you shouldn't have intervened. But while you were intervening, why didn't you intervene? More, right? Yeah, exactly right. There's no, of course there's no place for him to actually land this that makes them happy. We all know that going into this. It was an amazingly complicated thing, though.
Starting point is 00:19:48 That's a great explanation. And an amazing, an amazing score, an amazing pull-up. I mean, the world, I can tell you, every other military and every other president of every other country is now looking at that going, holy smoking crap. No one in the world has been able to do anything like that. Holy crap. Because I really thought there was a, we talked about this at the time, that when you put these sorts of assets in the region, there is a likelihood that something's going to happen. You don't just do this because it's fun and everyone wants to go on a boat trip together.
Starting point is 00:20:29 Right. And so they're in the middle of this. And you could have easily seen a situation where there were strikes that were strategic. that weakened the regime enough that there was an uprising in the streets, kind of maybe what we're maybe seeing in Iran without the strikes, right? They uprising, the person's pressured, they come up with a plan to leave,
Starting point is 00:20:47 they feel like they're toast and they're in Russia and hanging out in Moscow in a couple of weeks. That type of thing seemed possible. The fact that we just went in there and took the guy, I didn't see, I got to say, I didn't see that one coming. I guess the final straw was Maduro negotiating with the United States.
Starting point is 00:21:07 Yeah. And then mocking the negotiations publicly. And that's when Donald Trump said, the guy's not serious. Get him. Take him. Because they were negotiating.
Starting point is 00:21:17 And again, he was not serious. And that is the one thing that really kind of bothers Donald Trump, wasting his time on negotiations. You're not serious. You saw it with Putin.
Starting point is 00:21:27 You see it in Ukraine. You know, if you're wasting his time, he has no time for you. And so I think that's, I think that's what's happened. It's going to be interesting to see what happens in court. Because I think this also has something to do.
Starting point is 00:21:46 You know, I made a big list of, okay, it is about oil. It is about drugs. It is about terror. It is about the hemispheric control. The Don Roe doctrine, as they're calling it now. It's about proof of concept for the U.S. military. It's about all those things. But I think it's also about Smartmatic.
Starting point is 00:22:05 I think it's also about the voting machines, possibly. I have nothing on this, but, I mean, that could be part of it. Can we get Maduro to testify? Because aren't they suing currently every major media organization over that? I will tell you that I wouldn't put that past future. You know, you want to turn state's evidence on, because we know that they have been affecting us on the streets. We don't know if they've been affecting us with our voting machines.
Starting point is 00:22:40 There's, you know, there's a lot of good, you know, evidence that, yeah, maybe they were. There's a lot of people that have been sued with their pants off, you know, until they have nothing left because they said, well, there's a really good case. Well, it hasn't been made yet. Will it be made in a court of law? That might be part of why he went after Maduro. I think, you know how you say, kill two? birds with one stone. This needs to be updated. This is kill 40 birds with one stone. That's what
Starting point is 00:23:16 Donald Trump pulled off. He is taking... Pulled off is a big word. That's a big term. So far. So far. Right. Because this is going to be judged by how it turns out, not by this first, this first incredible military operation, which is legitimately impressive. And is great for Venezuela if they don't screw it up, right? You know, this is an opportunity for Venezuela, who, by the way, already got, they already did this. Venezuela already did what Donald Trump did the legal way. They came in and they voted him out and he lost by 35 points, yet he stayed in power. Yes. So what Trump has done here is potentially, CBS News doesn't necessarily agree with that. Brennan just said, what do you mean? It's so-called legitimate president. I know. This one's well known.
Starting point is 00:24:04 35 points. Democrat, by the way, acknowledged this and was criticizing Trump for not doing enough to get Maduro out of power. Because he loved Venezuela and Maduro. He was strengthening Maduro's grip on power as of two weeks ago. I know, I know. But okay, they took him out. Now there's an opportunity. Now, look, right now we have the vice president is still in control. She is essentially just Maduro, right? There's no difference really in who she is as opposed, except for the fact that she's very much intimidated by what just happened. Yeah, I would say, going to play a ball. Let's just say this, Stu, we're doing the show. And the federal government
Starting point is 00:24:40 comes in, they grapple in through that glass. Yes. They grab me for what I have just been saying on the air. I know this is a dream come true. I've had this dream many times. Right, I know. And I'm flown away on a helicopter. Yes. And the microphone is open. And your job is to continue what I was just saying. I'm not sure you continue that sentence. You might, might have a change of heart. You might be like, you know, I want to rethink some things. First of all, in my dream, the cable snaps and you crash in the ground and I can see it right at the window. I appreciate that. But secondly, you're right. It would be a little bit difficult. And you'd think that like she's going to play ball. That being said, I don't think she's going to
Starting point is 00:25:24 play ball. I don't think she's going to play ball. I think she's going to be. I think she's going to be. I mean, Trump is saying she's playing ball. Oh. And she'll play ball, but she's not going to be the president. No, I think the question is, can she help this transition into whatever's next? Let me ask you this. I think we have time for this. Do you have a take on one thing that was interesting to me. And again, you know, he's, Donald Trump is dealing with a hundred things that we don't even know what they are right now. So I don't know what the answer to this is. But like, I was a bit surprised that he was dismissive of the opposition leader as a possibility. Why would he do that? I think, and I could be completely wrong on this.
Starting point is 00:26:07 I think that was his attempt of not saying regime change. Okay. You know, it's him saying, look, they have the vice president in. What I didn't understand is why he took the extra step of saying, I don't think she has the support. Yeah, that's the part. Because she did. She won by 35 points. Yeah, she didn't technically run because she was prohibited for running.
Starting point is 00:26:30 But the person who was a stand in for her. right by 35 points so so um i think she does have the support but um i think what he was trying to say there is i'm not here for regime change we're not here for a regime change that guy was the head of this corrupt organization and that needs to change we're taking him in we're trying him and his wife in new york of all places uh we're going to try him in new york and so here are the keys to your country, go do with it what you want. We're watching you. Well, but I, so again, I would get what you just said, right?
Starting point is 00:27:10 That would make sense to me because it would be, okay, we're worse, this is the, in the hands of the Venezuelan people, they need to make these decisions. When you pair it with actually the people who are going to be running the country are standing behind me, Marco Rubio and Pete Hague Seth, that doesn't strike me as somebody who's trying to avoid the idea of regime change at all. It seems like somebody who wants to say, I'm very much in control of this situation. This is ours. Again, let me go to people grappling in and grabbing me.
Starting point is 00:27:35 Your dream come true. Yes. Okay. If one soldier is left over in the corner and all he's doing is just looking at you the whole time, you tend to do things differently. You know what I mean? Yeah. And that's he's using soft power.
Starting point is 00:27:56 He's using hard power when he has to. But he is gathering all of this soft power. That's why when he said with. you with Iran. By the way, you touch any of the people on the street, you kill him. We're locked and loaded. You don't have to actually be locked and loaded. Everyone in the world believes he's locked and loaded. So the soft power he has accumulated is extraordinary. And I think that's what he's counting on, not only in Venezuela and Iran, but also counting on in Mexico, in Colombia, and you watch Cuba.
Starting point is 00:28:32 You're listening to the best of Glenn Beck. Need a little more? Check out the full show podcasts, anywhere you download podcasts. I'm so excited to show you some of the things that The Torch has for you. If you've been watching on YouTube today, hopefully it'll be ready for you tomorrow at glenbeck.com. I think it's working now, but I hate to jinx it. You know, it's interesting when you have to beta test and, you know, then you go right away to, you know, 12. million people, how that falls apart quickly.
Starting point is 00:29:05 But anyway, the, we did a couple of things. One, if you're, you know, with the blaze, you can watch us on the blaze as always. Same with radio if you're listening to us on radio. The radio show is not changing one iota. In fact, I think it's going to get stronger. The one thing that is changed, if you go to glenbeck.com, torch is really kind of my torch. It's my, the things I feel passionately that I have to do. And there are so many things, you know, like today we're doing a George AI, I'm sorry, a Glenn AI, which is all of my 30 years of recorded stuff, you know, when I was talking about politics, 26 years.
Starting point is 00:29:51 Since 2000 until today, we've recorded every single show. We've captured everything. We've captured most of my speeches. We have every book that I read, 25 different books. and we've put that into George AI, or sorry, Glenn AI, separate. And we can tell you, give you in-depth things. It's if I had perfect recall, which I don't. If I had perfect recall, what would I be telling you today?
Starting point is 00:30:19 And so that is going to come out today. That's on just the communist movement. This is Maduro. This is Mamdami. this is the protest that happened in the speech that was the streets in what what did I say 12 different cities spontaneously on Sunday morning all of a sudden they have printed signs in 12 cities I mean it's it's remarkable so what is this movement we have that coming after the show usually it will drop immediately after you know at noon eastern time today it's going to be a little later but
Starting point is 00:30:54 you'll find it at glenbeck.com you'll be able to listen to that also we're doing something on george Jason, do you happen to have the bit of the George AI here? Just tell me about it. We don't need to listen to it. Just tell me about what is his opinion? Because I asked, what would the founders say about going into Venezuela? So I do have it. Do you want to hear a little bit of it?
Starting point is 00:31:15 Yeah, a little bit. Go ahead, play a little bit of it. There we go. Let's get real for a second. If I told Thomas Jefferson, just picture him for a moment, sitting under candlelight, pen in hand, wrestling with lock and Montescue, that one day America would launch a surprise military strike to capture the president of a South American country because he was running a narco-terror operation with backing from China,
Starting point is 00:31:44 Russia, and Iran. Well, Jefferson would probably raise an eyebrow, sip his Madeira and say, explain yourself. And I'd have to try. Okay, so let's stop there. He's going into what the founders actually believed about foreign entanglements and the Monroe Doctrine. I have not heard my guess is I don't want to me.
Starting point is 00:32:12 My guess is that he says that what Trump did is iffy but okay if it's if it's if he can come up with enough justification. Do you say that?
Starting point is 00:32:31 Yes. They were, so George was very, I guess, careful. He doesn't cheerlead for it. He doesn't, he doesn't outright condemn it. But George is very, was there constitutional backing? Was there congressional backing? If we had allies, they didn't want to buck against allies, which I thought was kind of interesting. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:32:55 So, and did he use an example? Because we had to put in, and I want to talk to you about. this Jason. I want to talk to the engineers about this too of George A.I. Because I know when you originally put this in, he had no idea what Iran was. It was Persia. I mean, he didn't know what any of this was, Russia. So we had to give him some information. I want to make sure all of that modern information is purged from the system. You know what I mean? So it doesn't affect him or at least is isolated, so it doesn't affect his opinion on anything. Because I don't ever want this to become political or anything. I just want to know what would the founders say about this. Did he go into, did he use any
Starting point is 00:33:36 examples from their time, for instance, the Barbary Pirates? So that's exactly what he used. To use the justification for the Barbary Pirates, he talked about, I keep saying he. It talked about why the founders actually greenlit that war and some of the, you know, justification behind that and then tried to equate it over and didn't kind of, you know, played two sides, assume that, okay, yes, there is justification for that. And then also played the other side, okay, if there's not justification for it. And it really goes through the like both sides. It's a really, it's a thought-provoked.
Starting point is 00:34:11 It's like a thought experiment. Good. And it's really interesting. Also, we have those two. They will be posted shortly after the program. There's a couple of other things that are up now at glenbeck.com that are torch-only. I'm going to make everything free for this month. So I'm not asking you to put in your credit card or anything.
Starting point is 00:34:32 You can just see if you like it or not. It's going to be $10 a month. It's not going to be $9.99 because nobody, we've abolished the penny. Why are we still saying $9.99? It's going to cost you a penny more. It's going to be $10. Okay. No, it's actually only $5.51, but we're rounding up to the nearest 10.
Starting point is 00:34:52 What a stupid thing. but you'll be able to get all of the shows and everything else. And for the first month, when we announced this, I'm going to make it inflation proof. You sign up, you're a part of the original people that sign up. I'm never going to raise the price on you. Have you seen how much money we're printing? That's nuts. I know.
Starting point is 00:35:11 I know, I know. That's why I'm only doing it for the first month. You should build in a 100% pricing price per month just to be safe. Yeah, yeah, I know. I know. Wait, so you have the live stuff. that's going on, obviously. Like, you can see stuff when the commercial is going on.
Starting point is 00:35:27 There's additional content that you're going to want to check out. But there's a bunch of other stuff on there, too, right? So there is the American story, which is based on the book, the American story, written by Nathan, who's one of our just really talented history writers here. And I tell the story, can we do cut nine? Here's a bit of that. It's available right now at glenbeck.com, the first five episodes. It's after 8 a.m. when Washington's troops finally swarm into Trenton.
Starting point is 00:36:01 There's no turning back now. The Hessian troops stumble from their barracks into heavy musket and cannon fire. In the frenzied charge, an 18-year-old Virginian takes a musket ball through the shoulder that severs an artery. He collapses. He's bleeding out in the snow. A civilian doctor named John Riker, as in Riker's Island, rushes into the fray. Riker's not in the army. He just shone up to offer his assistance when he heard the battle erupt. Spotting the fallen officer, he tears open the man's uniform and clamps the artery with his bare fingers. It works. Dr. Riker saves the young lieutenant's life.
Starting point is 00:36:44 A young man named James Monroe, who is going to go on to serve as the nation's fifth president. president. Such a great series. That is called the American story. The first five episodes are available right now at glenbeck.com. They're all about 45 minutes. It's all commercial free. Days of Ash is another story.
Starting point is 00:37:08 This is something first five episodes are out of this. This is a story that I wrote. They're run about 12 minutes each episode. And this is what, this is a dystopian future, the second season is outrageously great because AI gets involved and it starts to become very godlike. But anyway, first five episodes, here's a preview of Days of Ash at glenbeck.com. It wasn't a flash crash. It wasn't a stock market collapse.
Starting point is 00:37:41 It was something deeper. It was a confidence collapse, the kind that rewrites nations and unearths old ghosts. By nightfall, my neighbor, Steve, had showed up at my gate. He was out of some medicine, not permanently, just. out until his next shipment. But we both knew that shipment probably wasn't coming. The pharmacies weren't even answering their phones now. He stood there in the dark, looking at me,
Starting point is 00:38:12 holding out a medical bag like a child holding a broken toy. I had prepared. I let him in. I gave him what I had. I told him, we'll figure something out. But we both knew. No one was coming. The cities, they were louder.
Starting point is 00:38:33 I could hear it on the CB riots in Atlanta, roadblocks in Chicago, gas stations being stripped bare in under 10 minutes. A woman in Denver, she was shot over a loaf of bread. The guy who shot her said, well, she had two, and the shooter had none. There is a lot of stuff. I haven't even scratched the surface. Like I said, and you will see it tomorrow. Or if you watch it on YouTube today, this program, you can watch it, and you will see. the full three hours. It won't be like that tomorrow, only an hour on YouTube as we normally do. But the full three hours, you can see that if you listen through or watch through glenbeck.com, starting tomorrow, you will, we've added 50% more information. We're doing two shows at the same time. I don't think this has ever been done before. It's completely different. And we're doing it because I kind of feel in some ways I'm running out of time. And there's a lot of,
Starting point is 00:39:33 lot I have to do yet. And so all of the shows, everything, I'm not contractually obligated to anything anymore, except this program, which I want to do every day. Everything else, I'm doing it because I want to do it. And I, my attention span sometimes is that of a goldfish. And there are many things that I want to do. There are many stories I want to tell you. There's much of history I want to show you that you will see we're going to do capital controls is that release this week it releases it releases when you tell us to release it you said wait for the news cycle okay so there is there is a special on capital controls this is the way the Wednesday night specials will be we'll do them when we feel we have it and we have it right capital controls is something I've
Starting point is 00:40:26 been working on for a while it's something that you don't know you'll hear this if you watch CNBC, when things start to get bad, you'll hear them talk about capital controls. And it'll go right over your head. And because of that, you, this is, this, this show came from my grandfather, said to me, he was in the Great Depression. He said, Glenn, if we would have only known what rich people knew, when they knew it before the Depression, we might have been able to save and not gone through what we went through. So that show is based on that from my grandfather saying that. I saw capital controls and saw some things being done in the government. I'm like, uh-oh, people need to be aware of what this is. And it's an amazing show. That one runs about an hour. And again, it's all free right now
Starting point is 00:41:14 this month at glenbeck.com. You can find those shows right now at the front page of glenbeck.com. And in the next couple of weeks, we'll start talking to you about the subscription. Again, it's going to be 10 bucks for the first month. If you sign up for the first month, I'm not going to, I'll never raise the price on you. With inflation, it'll be completely inflation-proof for the rest of your life or mine. Because it's going to really, you probably cancel after I die. You'll probably cancel, maybe. But it'll be, for the rest of your life, it'll be inflation-proof.
