Judiciary Committee, a guy who has really done his work and proud to have him on the program, Jim Jordan. Thank you for all of your work and your continuing work. You're going to sit down here with, thank you, you're going to sit down with Christopher Ray here in about an hour. And we, I mean, there's so many questions here. Do you trust the FBI to give us any truth?

I have a healthy skepticism that based on, you know, this is the same Biden-terrorist justice department that can't tell us, who planted the pipe bombs on January 6th, who leaked the Dobbs of opinion, who put cocaine, you know, who put cocaine at the White House. So I think Americans have a healthy skepticism. But I do think after what we saw Monday, from the former director of the Secret Service, I do believe Director Ray is going to be more forthcoming. I hope so. And because there's just a number, as you said, there's just a number of questions.

In my mind, I break it down to the before, the during, the after. And the before questions, I think are probably the most important. Because the before questions are, you know, why was he allowed to take the stage when you identified this suspicious person? Why was the Trump's security detail numerous times not given assets that they had requested over a long period of time? Why were, in fact, their resources diverted because of NATO and other events going on? that could have been there for President Trump.

And then maybe the most important is there's a finite number of buildings that needed to be secured. It wasn't a huge number. And the one that was close was the one that the bad guy took the shot from. So that's sort of fundamental. Why weren't those buildings secure? So all those before questions are critical. The during questions, because based on what we've now put together, there's a critical five minutes when it all goes down. 609, shooter on the roof is identified.

6-10, that information is given to the counter-sniper. So they know about the bad guy a minute later at 6-10. 6-11, the shooter shoots President Trump and three other individuals. 6-12, the counter-sniper takes him out. 6-14, President Trump is escorted off the stage by the Secret Service. We need to know second-by-second communication by communication what was going on in that critical five minutes, the during part. And then, of course, the big question after is why did they lie to us? because the Secretary Mayorkas said it's absolutely false that we turned down requests from President Trump's security detail.

And then five days later, they changed their stories as well. There were occasions where they asked for information and asked for help and we turned them down. So why did you guys lie to it the day after the attack? So I think all those are critical. And there's a whole host of others that we hope to get answers to. Yeah, they said the Secret Service said they identified the building that the assassin used as a area of, of concern five days before. I've, I know security, you know, I've had security for 20 years and very good security of Gavin DeBacker for many, many years until I brought it internally.

These guys, I think, are better than the Secret Service. And Jim, I would love to talk to you some point off air because I have some run-ins with the Secret Service that has prompted me to say, for years on the air, the Secret Service is not protecting our president. And I said this under Barack Obama. There are things that they do that I have personally witnessed that nobody, nobody should be able to do. And we've done them. And it is really, really dangerous. Our presidents are in danger. They are in danger. So the other thing that I would love to, to hear your questioning on is we find out now you know about the whistleblower garret o'boyle uh from the from the FBI right and they accused him correct and they accused him of being the leaker

of of something to project veritas he said he wasn't the guy there the FBI came and testified I believe in front of you and said, we know it's him. We have reliable information. He was the guy. And the question was asked, what information does the FBI have now that it was Mr. O'Boyle behind the shield? We can't talk about that. But we know that it was him.

Well, we find out now, they knew at the time that it wasn't him. Yeah. And they've permanently taken his. security clearance away from him, the inspector general at the Justice Department is investigating this, this, looking at this issue of, you know, the security clearances and this, and what we believe is retaliation against whistleblowers who come to our committee and told us about things like the moms and dads who were being investigated for showing up at school board means, who've told us about, oh, that if you're

a pro-life Catholic, the Richmond Field Office was categorizing you, the FBI Richmond Field Office categorizing you as an extremist. They come and tell us about these important issues, and then they go after the people who are given us, who are the whistleblowers, giving us this information, including Garrett O'Boyle. So we're working on this issue as well because in my opening statement today talking about that Americans, while we want the FBI to give us information on the tragedy of July 13th, there's a healthy skepticism Americans have in light of all the things they've seen from this FBI, from this Justice Department.

Do they even care at this point, Jim? I mean, you know, I've been saying this since the assassination attempt. We are in a situation now where they're withholding information, they're acting the way they always act, they're withholding it from Congress. We know that testimony on Monday of the Secret Service head was shameful, And it is only done either through just sheer stupidity or they don't mind having conspiracy theories thrown around. They're growing so much disinformation and misinformation because they won't be clear.

Yeah. Just be transparent with us. Yeah, just be transparent with we the people. After all, we pay your salary. You're supposed to work for us for the country. Thank you. If you remember, you remember, Director Chedal, I asked her this question. I said, how many times did you turn down President Trump's security detail request for additional resources?

She wouldn't tell me. And then I asked her, I said, were any of the times you turned down what they asked for after you had learned that Iran was trying to kill former President Trump? That seems to me to be. Once you know, like, one of our enemies, one of the most dangerous countries and regimes on the planet is trying to kill the former president. and likely the next president, and he asked for help and you turn it down then, what are you doing? And she wouldn't answer that question, which leads me to believe, I think they did turn down requests from President Trump's team after they knew the

Iranians were trying to kill him. Oh, yeah. And why was she on encrypted communication with the White House? I mean, when she admitted that she was using encrypted software to communicate on her private phone. Is that not illegal, Jim? Well, yeah, she's right. Please tell me we're in

I was just right. You're exactly right. Please. You're an official business. It's supposed to be on the government phone. Please tell me that we're not because she resigned, we're taking the heat off of any of this.

No, no, no. There's, I don't think, A, that's not my intention. We got to, we got to stay full till on getting the answers. And I believe, certainly the country, the people that we represent the people we serve want the answers. It is our job as the legislative branch to do oversight. The speakers announce he's going to put together a special task force to focus on this

issue alone. So we have to get answers to these questions. So we spent two years, almost two years doing in this Congress, on a host of issues, whether it's the censorship effort or what have you. That same kind of intensity needs to be here for this issue as well. I have to tell you, Jim, that, you know, my job, your job, all of our jobs now, is really difficult because every day we look at things that don't make sense. We know we're being lied to, but we don't necessarily know why we're being lied to. She just might be wildly incompetent. And all of this may have been human error. But we don't know why. And it makes my job, your job, almost impossible. you know, there's nothing I want to do more than get on the air and say,

this is a conspiracy theory, this is wrong, this is wrong, this is wrong, because this is what actually happened. But I can't dismiss, I just go online and I see things that I'm like, I don't know, could be, I don't know. That's not a place where a country can survive. No, it's not a healthy place. You're exactly right. And time and time again, when we were, told something by our government, and we all thought, well, that doesn't really make it. Turned out,

we were right. Remember when they told us, oh, no, the Hunter Biden laptop, it's Russian information operation. They let us believe that when they knew at the time that it was authentic, the laptop was authentic. I mean, correct. They've time and time again. They told us, they told us that COVID came from, you know, a bat to a penguin, to a hippopotamus to people. I mean, like, no, it came from a lab. Like, everything, they told us that if you got the vaccine. I mean, you could just go on and on. So many things are supposed to serve us, told us, turned out not to be true. No wonder there's this healthy skepticism Americans have of their government agencies. So the FBI, and with a shooter, uncovered a number of the searches

for images of public figures of variety, including President Biden, President Trump, some limited online activity reflecting the subject state of mind. I don't even know what that means, but also noted encrypted communications, and they have limited ability to obtain certain information. It came from Germany, New Zealand, and Belgium. Do you have any idea these encrypted platforms that the FBI is talking about? Are these communication platforms? Or what is that? We have, I have no idea, but I think that is something we have to understand. You need to let us know what is what what is that all about what was going on there because that's certainly where people i think take that information to say wait a minute what's going on here and leads to all kinds of

speculation about what what could have been the motivation here so we we need answers to those questions certainly and and all the others that we've talked about one last question about joe biden he came out yesterday and praised uh cheetaheel uh and was disgrace i was grateful for all of her hard work and her selfless dedication and risked her life to protect our nation through her career. I mean, how do you explain this from a president with somebody who has failed this spectacularly? Yeah. Frankly, Glenn, that's par for the course for the Biden administration. I can't think one thing they've done well.

I can't think of, you know, any, I mean, it's just been, it's been a disaster from the get-go. I mean, you go back to the exit from Afghanistan. I mean, I think the metaphor for the Biden administration is those people, when that plane's taken off, people trying to jump on the wheels of that plane because they knew what was going to, what was going to happen to them. So that is, tell me one thing they've said, done, did, that makes sense. It just, this is the Biden administration. So I guess I'm at the point now.

I'm no longer surprised at another stupid statement that comes from the Biden administration. I was just handed a note to remind one more thing. I'm sorry. And that is the Her investigation. The DOJ apparently found those transcripts in the audio. They just, I guess, you know, it's a crowded place. It's got boxes everywhere. And somebody just ran into it in the hallway.

How to hell is that? They found more tapes. Yeah, they won't give us the ones they have. Now they found more. She's damn. What are we going to do? Yeah. I mean, this thing's a mess.

I mean, remember, Jack Smith had to file with the court, hey, the documents we did see in that case, we changed the order, which are not allowed to do. Some people call that tampering with evidence, and they had to file a document with the court. Right. They mishandled the documents that they were accusing President Trump of mishandling. You can't make this stuff up.

So it is that crazy with this administration. And I think, you know, we haven't really got into electoral politics, but I actually think all this is going to factor in. And that's why I believe President Trump and J.D. Vance are going to be the next president and vice president of the country. I hope so because we are at a place where if I were in China, Iran, South, I mean, North Korea, Russia, I would be licking my chops right now. This would be the time to hit us.

You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program. Kevin, my man, how are you? Man, that is great to be with you. I'm doing great even though I'm back here in the Imperial City of Washington, awaiting the Prime Minister of Israel, but also 20,000 protesters here in D.C. Glenn. So we're buttoned down and, you know, ready for all the nonsense. I wish I were there.

Well, no, not actually, but I wish I was with Benjamin Nath and Yahoo to Dead. love to hear that live. Anyway, Kevin, you're the president of the Heritage Foundation, and there's a couple of things that I wanted to ask you about, and I want to start with the assassination. Through the Heritage Foundation, the Oversight Project, it was tweeted, we found the assassin's connections through our in-depth analysis of mobile ad data to track movements of crooks and his associates. To do this, we track devices that regularly visited both Crook's home and place of work and then followed them. Someone who regularly visited Crook's home and work also visited a building in Washington, D.C., located in Gallery Place. This is the same building that has the FBI offices

in the upper floors. You also tracked people that were coming in and out from Plymouth Mass through Boston, what do you think you found here? Well, what we presume we found, given our mission to educate the public, is that most likely Mr. Crooks' phone, but just to be 100% accurate, some phone that was at his residence, or it could be another relative's relatives, was at his residence at presumably the FBI headquarters about a year ago, but also very importantly and troublingly, Glenn, at the site in Butler, Pennsylvania, of the attempted assassination attempt both on July 4th and on July 8th, so at least twice before the actual day of the attempted assassination.

This obviously shows... Now, could have that been his phone? Could that have been his phone? Yeah, it's most likely his phone. I just want to be clear that, you know, we know for sure that it's a phone that was at his residence. it most likely is. Okay. But we have no idea who the phone, who owns the phone that went to, presumably, the FBI offices in

Washington, D.C. That's correct. It's most likely his, but a phone that was also at his residence, you know, every day up until that point. So the only reason I issue that caveat, went to, is, as you know, that our mission is to educate. We always want to be as accurate as we can. And clearly the issue is it really does open questions about why law enforcement has taken so long to put the pieces together on this investigation, which opens questions not only about incompetence, but maybe even worse.

None of that, of course, was allayed by the Secret Service director's testimony a couple of days ago in Congress. No. And the FBI is now testifying today, and we'll see what they come up with. but I don't have a lot of confidence in the FBI, even, you know, I just, I've thought something was wrong with those pipe bombs, and they've just never been able to find anything out about those pipe bombs. That's insane. Of course they can. It's remarkable. Whenever, you know, they've got like some little shred of evidence to impose upon all of us who are politically conservative, conspiracy theories, they're really quick to do that. But when it might be the alternate, the alternate side doing this, the political left, they never.

quite connect the dots. And I think ultimately this is what leads to the even broader question, which is why, in spite of all the great rank and file people who work in Secret Service and the FBI, the leadership of these agencies is rotten to the core. And this is why we are so intent on making sure that the administrative state, the deep state is dismantled in the next conservative administration. I want to get back to that here in just a second. But first, let me go to another oversight project. tweet from Heritage. We have been preparing for this moment for months. Many in the media tried discrediting us. Who's laughing now? No more make it up as you go elections. Stay tuned. What does that mean? Well, what it means is that it's very difficult in at least three states,

Nevada, Wisconsin, and Georgia for Joe Biden to be removed from the ballot. And the Democrats, who of course like to portray themselves as the party that saves democracy, have played this this bait and switch. And according to our reading of the law in those states and maybe some others, it's too late for them to change the name of their candidate. This is such a problem for them, Glenn, that Mark Elias, who is the great architect of the left's lawfare against us, you, you know, many people and in your audience has pushed the certification deadline within the Democratic Party's nomination process up to this week so that Kamala Harris can be officially the nominee and hopefully make these legal claims more difficult for our side.

It is really amazing to me that the group that claims that democracy is on the ropes and they're fighting for democracy can actually say yesterday, I heard Chuck Schumer say, this is a grassroots movement. She's growing it from the bottom up, not the other way around. And she's really worked hard to get these delegates. What? She called a list of people who the party has empowered and say, what, I'm your new candidate, I'd really like your vote, but it didn't come from the people. It is amazing how this is so anti-democratic. And it doesn't seem like the Democrats, the average voter, cares about that.

No, and, you know, what's interesting is rank-and-file Democrats have been just completely overridden by the powers. that be in Washington and San Francisco and New York. And you would think just rank and file members of the Democratic Party, you know, relatively normal people out there would say enough is enough. But this is a steamroll process. And as I've been saying for almost a year now, this has always been part of the plan. I don't think those Democrat powers that be were ever going to listen to the, the will of the Democrat rank and file. They were always going to replace Biden. It's why the debate was scheduled so soon. It's why, frankly, I think that his medication, likely for Parkinson's,

probably wasn't administered correctly on the day of the debate, all to put someone else in this position. But then you have to ask the question, why? Because they knew that he would be incapable of winning the general election. And so if they wanted to go through a process in the primaries where Vice President Harris and other candidates were running and she ended up being the nominee, the more power to her, but this is someone who got less than one percent of the primary vote when she ran in 2016. So I don't understand why there isn't a greater uproar by rank and file Democrats. Let me ask you.

I mean, nothing like this has ever, ever been done. And she doesn't have a better chance of beating Donald Trump. I mean, when people see her on the campaign trail and remember who she is and Democrats, like you said, less than 1%. She was, I think, one of the first ones. to drop out. Nobody liked her. Why are they in a rush to replace him with her? Is it because they're trapped, which I don't believe they ever feel they're trapped? I think they realized that his likability deteriorated much faster than they thought, and I do believe that they probably preferred a

different person to replace him. But she played her cards really well politically and ingratiated herself with the powers that be. But to the heart of your question, you know, looking forward, I think what we've got to do, we collectively, on the center right in this country, is zealously focus on her failures and policy. She was named in the first months of the Biden presidency as the borders are. What is going on at the border, but the total upending of American sovereignty. She was supposed to play an important role in foreign policy. They have been a disaster. The economy is a disaster. Our energy policy is a disaster. And on top of that, probably the greatest criticism that I would mentioned about Ms. Harris, from my policy perspective, is that she's grossly dishonest.

And so I think if that case, that political and policy case is prosecuted in the political sphere, that in fact, the left is not going to get away with this. But I just would caution, my friend, and this starts with me and everyone at Heritage, let's not be overconfident. Let's run this race. Oh, no, I know. And let's understand that the media, of course, one last point on this, the media, of course, in just a matter of days, the same media that told us that Joe Biden was fine is telling us that she is the greatest policy leader and thinker in the history of the American left.

That's the thing we have to be focused on. So let me give you a story that came out today. Democratic Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren and several of her colleagues unveiled a new bill Tuesday looking to restore powers of the administrative state after the Supreme Court scaled back unelected bureaucrats power in June. Warren, along with fellow Democratic senators, Richard Blumenthal, who's a dream in Connecticut,

Chris Van Hollen of Maryland, Edward Markey of Massachusetts, an independent Vermont senator, Bernie Sanders, who typically caucuses with the Democrats, rolled out the Stop Corporate Capture Act on Tuesday. which would essentially overturn the Supreme Court's landmark June decision ending Chevron deference, formally a key tool for federal bureaucrats to make and enforce regulations. Chevron deference held that courts should defer to executive agencies' interpretations of statutory ambiguities

in laws pertaining to given regulatory action. So they are now saying, quote, giant corporations are using far-right, unelected judges to hijack our government and undermine the will of Congress. The Stop Corporate Capture Act will bring transparency and efficiency to the federal rulemaking process. And more importantly, it will make sure corporate interest groups can't substitute their preferences for the judgment of Congress and the expert agencies. Oh my gosh, is this a total twisting of what's actually happened. Oh, man, I just came out of one of our daily meetings here at Heritage and just reminded my

great colleagues, guys, don't ever accept the language of the left. And that's a really relevant point to make in response to your question, because if you want to know what the left is actually doing, listen to what they accuse us of doing. And so what they exactly, right, you know, always been that way. It's always been that way for 50 years. I mean, really amplified during LBJ's misnomer of the great. society, they've taken over the administrative state. But in addition to that, I mean, even even their comment in that summary about corporations, corporate America has become aligned with

the radical left. So what we're trying to do, you know, across the political right is rest that power away from them, give it back to the states and the people, let the people decide through their elected representatives what, in fact, laws should be. You know, I grew up in a time, Glenn, when most people on the political left agreed with that too. But now they know, because the American people are opposed to them, that they've got to operate in the shadows. Yep, yep. Thank you so much.

By the way, I am pushing for you to be the Secretary of Defense if Trump would win. I think you'd make a great Secretary of Defense. I appreciate that. I think there will be opportunities should Trump get elected to serve as Secretary of State or Secretary of Defense. To be in a position to actually begin to reshape our country's.

foreign policy to one that Trump has advocated for all along, one that puts the interest of the American people and our country first and prevents us from getting into these unnecessary, counterproductive regime change wars and begins to enact those policies that allow our country to succeed. So I never thought of you as Secretary of State. That is an interesting idea. That might even be better than Secretary of Defense. But anyway, let's talk about Tulsi Gabbard. I mean, I'm sorry, Kamala Harris. Kamala is probably the most left candidate we've ever had.

And she's being really installed by the Democratic Party. I want to talk to you about the installation here in a second. But first, what would we be getting from Kamala Harris? You know, the Democrats themselves tout President Biden as the most, quote, unquote progressive president our country has ever seen. And this was supposed to be the guy who was going to come in and be a moderating influence on the Democratic Party, the guy who said that he would unite all Americans and serve all Americans. And from day zero, he did exactly the opposite in dividing us by race and enacting these radical, woke agendas that are hurting our children,

hurting our education system, hurting the safety of our communities. I could go go on and on. You talk about these issues all the time. We've talked about foreign policy. Really, when you look at Kamala Harris, you can expect more of the same, but worse. I think what it comes down to is just the need for us to make sure that we remind voters over and over as we head into this election, even as the Democrat have changed their course in this race, the substance, the policies, and quite frankly, the reality. decision makers behind the scenes who have been pulling the strings, whether it's Robbie Mook from Hillary Clinton's campaign or Tony Blinken from Biden's, you know, decades with President

Biden or President Obama's lackeys in the White House, these people have been making the decisions over the last three and a half years. They are going to continue to call the shots, which means we can expect the same disastrous policies that we've seen and worse. I really think that Biden was forced out. I think they held something over his head, either the 25th Amendment or, you know, hey, look at your son. We may not be able to stop the impeachment proceedings, you know, because of the Hunter stuff. And they gave him a deadline of Sunday. This is all my speculation, by the way, gave him a deadline of Sunday, and he folded.

And I don't, I mean, it's clear that. he's not running the country. He's not really running the presidency. Because why are you okay to be the president, but you're not there enough to run a campaign? That makes no sense. But then they pick Tulsi Gabbard to replace her. And it's surprising to me that Barack Obama is not for it. What did you say? Kamala. You said they picked Tulsi Gabbard. They picked Kamala. I'm so sorry. I tell you, we would be having a very different conversation here. Yeah, I know we would.

I know we would. I know we would. I'm sorry, they picked Kamala Harris. And I don't think she's going to be running the presidency either. I agree with you. But who is actually, who is this cabal? Shouldn't we be asking that question and getting that answer? We absolutely should, Glenn.

you know, it's the people who are invested. Ultimately, it's those whose power relies on having a figurehead that they can control. So, you know, you can look at some of the people that I've mentioned already who have been around Hillary Clinton. They are Hillary Clinton's lackeys, President Obama's lackeys. People have been with President Biden for a long time. It's the military industrial complex that profits from our country being in a concept. state of war. It's those who are the unelected people in the national security state whose ability to control and take more of our liberties, again, relies on us being in a constant state of war.

It's their friends in big tech and propaganda media who benefit from them having access to that power and that information. And it's the big money billionaires. Yes. that it's the George Soros is, but others, Reed Hoffman's and others who are being, who are incredibly influential beyond belief because of their money and their ability to exert control. Fundamentally, what is at the heart of this, of all of these different people that make up this cabal of woke warmongers, of course, Hillary Clinton is the lead of that. They are people who don't care about our country, and they don't believe in the Constitution, And they're trying to remake this country into something that is their utopia of some sort,

but that defies the very foundation of what our country was founded upon. So you were a Democrat. You still, we still would disagree on many policies. But I respect you because you're at least honest and love the country. And I truly believe that there are millions of Democrats that are all across the country that I may disagree with. but they love the country and they don't want to see it fundamentally destroyed and transformed. They don't agree with these policies. And they've been so brainwashed that they don't stand up against,

they believe that Donald Trump is the threat to democracy and they don't see what their own party is doing. How is it they can go out and vote and then have these delegates and these superdelegates disregard that vote entirely and say no, this is who you get. How are they not up in arms, Tulsi? Well, first of all, let's just go back. There were a number of states that did not even hold primaries. And so to, and those that would not allow other Democratic candidates. Because, you know, obviously Bobby Kennedy was running to be the Democratic nominee.

There was a member. of Congress, I can't remember his name at the moment who was running, obviously Marianne Williamson and may have been a few others who were running to be the Democratic nominee. Many states would either not allow them on the ballot or did not hold primaries at all. So the Democratic Party, led by President Biden that claims to be the champions of democracy, would not even allow a democratic process within their own primary. So the anti-democracy initiative, began there and it continues through. So we shouldn't be surprised to see what they are doing today. You know, they are trying to pretend that this is not a coronation of Kamala Harris. President Obama

saying, oh, you know, this will be brought to the convention and delegates will have the opportunity to choose who the next Democratic nominee for president will be. Delegates, but we know that's just a facade. It is just a facade. It's already been wrapped up. Tulsi, thank you so much. Appreciate it. And I think they knew this long ago that they were going to have to do this with Joe Biden. They just don't want the people to have a vote. How is it people who are regular, normal Democrats who love the country?

How is it they're putting up with this? Especially from the same people that every day are screaming about democracy and how they're trying to save democracy by keeping Donald Trump. out of the White House. I don't know. I don't know how you miss that. Even when, you know, and we're all isolated to a certain extent, we all have our own circles and people who influence us and things that we watch that influence us.

And sometimes people don't get outside that sphere at all and get exposed to other ideas and other theories. But you would think, even if you're watching MSNBC and CNN and you're a ranking file Democrat in Iowa, you would think you would see their proclamations of saving democracy and then notice the hypocrisy from these kinds of things, unless you just don't pay attention. Would we be, would we say no if, let's say Donald Trump would have been shot and killed? And we had to scramble and find somebody. wouldn't we say no no we and maybe it's different because he would have been killed

but we would say there's got to be some process we have to do something but i think we would just have flash elections don't you think the republicans would just try to put flash elections together i think we'd open the convention i think uh course the convention but uh might be in the past at that point but yeah i think i think we'd be concerned about the process you can't just appoint somebody and just say, okay, the people have nothing to do with this. And I guess the problem would be I would have if Donald Trump would have died, it would change things. If I found out that the party knew all of this stuff about Donald Trump and they had

closed down and shut down all votes for anybody else and they had done all this stuff, I would be really upset if, for instance, if he was, you know, just crazy and couldn't put two sentences together, and they knew about it, and then kicked him out at the last minute so they could install their own person, that would really drive me crazy.
