Well, you know, this has been an interesting week. What happened this week? Nothing. Nothing really happened. Holy cow. Bill, where do you want to start on the week?

Well, I think that, you know, all of the things that Americans are seeing in the aftermath of the inauguration are predictable. And, you know, I have a lot of liberal friends. And I told them during the election, look, I understand my like, you might not like Trump. I got it. Everybody's got it. All right? The guy is very, very flamboyant. Let's be kind, flamboyant.

So you may not like his style. But if you vote for Joe Biden and if you get behind the progressive movement, you're going to get hurt. It's going to hurt you personally. And then I'm not going to be. I can't be working Trump. And I said, well, how is Trump hurting you? How directly is President Trump hurting you? Silence crickets.

We never had. Well, it's just the way he can do. Yeah, all right. So now Biden is doing exactly what the New York Times and Washington Post want him to do. This is a very important point that the legions of Beck listeners should consider. the country is being run by a man who craves approval from two newspapers, the Times and the Post. And that is how he's going to make his decisions.

Those are the executive orders he's going to sign. And it's frightening to me because these two weeks. Hang on, what makes you say that? Because that is a terrifying thought. I mean, Donald Trump craved approval as well, but at least he was craving the approval of the American people. What makes you say that about Biden? Because if you look at what Biden has prioritized in his first two days, it's all 100% based on Washington Post and New York Times editorials.

You want to run down a list? Yeah, go do it. Okay. Open borders. Number one, shouldn't be any inhibitions for anyone in the world to come into the United States and not do the paperwork and not follow the rules. So, Bill, you have done this job for many, many years. You have seen many administrations back and forth. Is this the first one that has done something this large without a carrot to the other side? Sure, because they believe they have a mandate to correct the Trump administration.

And what gives them the feeling of this mandate with Congress and everything being so close? Yeah, but they don't care about that. They're basically saying, look, we have an opportunity now to put a progressive agenda onto the American people that we hope is going to be. you know, a long, long time. Right. We're going to, you know, we're taking our shot now. Mm-hmm. Okay.

But let's get back to the New York Times and Washington Post because you're absolutely right. This is frightening. So the first thing is the immigration, all right? Stop the wall. Anybody who wants asylum can come here and maybe five years, six years from now you'll get a hearing, but in the meantime, you can do whatever you want. Well, if I'm a poor person anywhere in a world, I'm going, I'm getting there.

Yep. Me too. Me too. Yep. There's not even a lottery. It's just go. Yeah. It's just like if I can get there, even if I have COVID.

I mean, they're not putting COVID testing stations south of the border. Right. Right. Right. People are marching up from Honduras and Guatemala. Trust me, they're not social distancing. And it's what's really important to point out. It's not the people who are.

coming over. It's not their fault. It's like saying, it's like Disney World saying, hey, we're just going to have free admission, you know, next hundred days. It's just we're not even going to check tickets and you can stay in the hotels and we don't really care. Of course, every family that could never afford to go to Disney would be there. And but there's another component. You can come to Disney World and stay in our hotels even if you have COVID. Come on in. Well, the COVID thing, Can we just sidetrack here for a second? The COVID thing is ridiculous. First of all, his 100 million doses in 100, in 100 days.

And Trump didn't have a plan. No, his plan was a million vaccinations a day. So your plan is exactly the same as his plan was. Then on top of it, all of these states now saying, especially New York with Cuomo, okay, we've got to get back. back to business. The mayor of Washington, D.C., opens up in dining restaurants again, and she does it on the magical date of January 22nd. Yeah, beers you all that. But if you run down the checklist, the big one is let as many people

into the country who are living overseas as possible, because if you do that, then Democrats will never again lose an election ever. Because eventually, Eventually, all these people will be given citizenship, and that was one of the first executive orders. It was all right. They're going to get the DACA and a pathway eight years. I'll draw this legislative and we'll pass it. 11 million people maybe made citizens in the next 100 days and stopping or pausing deportations for 100 days. Right.

So, again, my liberal friend, I go, you like this? Is this good? And then there's no, there's no answer. Okay. So that's immigration, and that's going to come back to bite. Bipe. In two years, not four years. Because people are going to see the siege at the border.

You're going to see the pictures. Now, it won't be reported, but there are enough right-wing outlets and conservatives that you'll see it. The stats will be there and, you know, all of that. The second thing is the economy. So people, you got to assume that in five months or so in the sum by summer, that COVID will be at least under control. Most people will be vaccinated and the economy will surge again. It will because there'll be commerce much more than there is now. Money will be circulating.

So the economy will get a nice bump, all right? But if you look at the subtext, everything that Biden is doing is designed to take more money away from the American worker. So I have to tell you, Bill, when you say the economy gets a bump, I think the big business, the banks and everything else, they're going to get a big bump. The banks have already said, if Biden does his taxes, we're just going to increase the interest rate on loans. and so they'll make their money. The ones, and you see it with two things that Biden has done this week. The Keystone Pipeline, 11,000 job just gone.

The second thing that he has done is he just went to his cabinet and said, I want you to look at the regulations that strengthen our agenda and play to our agenda. don't, I don't care the cost of those. The first thing Trump did is, look, what is the cost of these regulations to the American people? And if it is costing the American people jobs or money, cut that regulation. Now it's just the opposite. I don't care what it does. This is going to hurt, this will help big business and it will hurt small business,

which is already almost dead, and the average American worker. it's already happened. Yeah. So I don't know down in Texas what's going on, but here on Long Island. We're okay. All right. Gas, a price of a gallon gas has gone up 12 cents. Why?

Oh, because of, yeah, because of, yeah. They know what's coming. Right. They said, okay, well, he's going to conduct a war on fossil fuels, which he will, because the New York Times wants him to. And so we're going to get ahead of this, and we're going to jack up all the gasoline prices. And that will go everywhere. But in New York, that's the crazy state, along with California.

So we're already up 12 cents a count since inauguration day. Wow. Because you're absolutely right. These corporations, they know every trick in the book. And they're not going to take the get. No. They're going to pass a hit onto the folks. So again, I call my liberal friends.

I go, hey, you know, did you see the gas prices? Putting gas in your big hammer? How about you do that armor, you know? So it's going to take a while back, but people are going to start to see that they're not as well off under progressive principles as they were under the free market Trump principles. They will start to see it.

Now, I'm talking about people who work and generate money and who have homes and all of this. Those are folks I'm talking about, and that's most of the country. Well, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. I agree with you on that, but this $15 an hour wage that Bernie Sanders is pushing through, if we make that a national wage, $15 an hour decimated Seattle, just decimated it. and you will see the people at the bottom of the ladder lose even more jobs. But they'll gain more benefits, entitlements.

Already today this morning, Biden and the Senate Executive Board are increasing food stamps. So the people who will be laid off, and it will be, because the robots are coming to the fast foods and all of that. So, Bill, let me ask you this question. I thought of this today when talking about this very thing. where we're just reversing what happened four years ago. And when Trump came in, he reversed what Obama did. We can't live like this every four years or eight years. We have got to decide if we are a socialist country or a free market and a free people or a people that just do what the autocrats tell us to do.

Can we go on as a country going back and forth like this? well I don't understand those people don't understand the battle between free markets and socialism they hear it but do they know what it really is no but you're absolutely right that Obama is back so it's really Obama running the country not Biden and everybody knew when Susan Rice was appointed Biden's top domestic advisor

All right, 10 seconds, station ID, and back to Bill. Did it mean anything to you, Bill, that the first call to a foreign leader was Trudeau? Well, I want to explain the pipeline thing because Trudeau's getting hammered by that. And the Canadian economy, he'll take a huge hit because Biden's going to attack the fossil fuel industry. So, I mean, it didn't mean much other than, you know, don't invade us. Right. But look, you know, I can't emphasize enough how not in control Joe Biden is.

So all Joe and Jill want is to wake up every morning and be handed the Washington Post with the headline, Joe Biden's the greatest president since Lincoln. And that's all they want. They don't really want to get involved in the executive orders or what they mean and the unintended consequences and calling up, you know, the king of Thailand. I don't want to do any of that. All right. All they want is affirmation, approval. And that's what they're going to do.

But in a strange way, this actually benefits traditional Americans because my assessment is in two years, all right, there's going to be anger. against the progressives in this country. You can see it, it's forming now in the cancel culture. That's the real weakness of the progressive totalitarian. So, because it's so easy to understand that. Bill, then let me, let me, let me bring you here. If you look at revolutions by Marxist all around the world, and I, I study them for 15 years, the Venezuelans learned Hugo Chavez knew that he could do all kinds of,

of things, but he couldn't do them if he didn't have the media and didn't silence dissent. We're seeing dissent silenced. Are you and I still able to do what we do as broadly as we do in two years? Well, I've hired a bunch of lawyers. So have we. I powered people. Mm-hmm. And, you know, I'm not going to allow it to happen to me and my operation.

because I've got TV on Bill O'Reilly.com, the notes of the news as you mentioned. I've got radio. I've got columns. Well, you have, you also have the FCC now changing hands. The Democrats are saying that they've got to clamp down on those who are fueling the insurrection, and that would be us, anybody on talk radio. They've been trying to shut talk radio down for a long time.

Once they shut down dissent, you, you can't. muster people. That's not going to happen. And the reason is not going to happen is because of Trump, because he appointed so many conservative and traditional judges in the federal system. And, you know, that's something that's never reported. But it's going to be a lot harder for the progressives to put this clamp of fascism on it. However, they're going to try. Yeah, they're going to try. They're going to try. And everyone will see that. But what's lacking on the other side is leadership. So there are a lot of people who are just hoping that Donald Trump comes back.

Well, he's not going to come back. No. In the Republican Party. Okay. Stand by. I want to pick it up right there when we come back. I've got to take a quick break. I want to pick it right back.

Bill, when we went into break, you said, Donald Trump is not coming back, at least with the Republican Party. That is terrifying to me because if he starts a third party, I like, I hate the Republicans, but if he starts a third party and it doesn't decimate the Republicans before an election, we never win an election without any kind of monkey business because we split our vote. Right, but I don't think he's going to start a third party as far as him being on a ballot. He might get behind a movement.

I have a movement that I'm just starting called a free speech movement. It's kind of like an update of the Tea Party, but we'll talk about that next week. So the turtle has turned. the Turtle, aka Mitch McConnell, the probably the most powerful Republican on Capitol Hill, is no longer happy together with Donald Trump. Thank you very nice, ladies and gentlemen. Anyway, the establishment of the Republican Party doesn't like Trump.

We all know that. And I think with the hard time that Trump is going to get for the next at least two years, and he is going to get a hard time. They're going to try to take him out. Oh, yeah. I don't think you'll be convicted in the Senate, but McConnell, he could block this whole thing,

and he could say to his 50 senators, hey, look, this is bogus, don't get behind this. And that would be over, but McConnell did not do that. And the thing that's going to save Trump, is that there's going to be a report, but they may suppress the report from the FBI. It could be suppressed, but I know it's already been written that says there was evidence, they have evidence at the federal level, that this siege at the Capitol was designed well before January 6th.

By whom? by professional provocateurs. People who are disruptive, the Antifa of the right. So people have to understand Antifa, Black Lives Matter movement, those are the disruptors on the left, but there are disruptors on the right,

not as many, but they're there, and they're nasty. And so, once the plan was to meet in Washington to protest the vote, these people swung into action. We're not just going to protest the boat. We're going to try to create that chaos. And so that will come forth. And that just blows out the accusation that Trump planned all this and, you know, encouraged not going to be enough. You'd have to prove that he incited it. There's a difference to me encouraging something and incite it. Anyway, they're going to come after Trump and they're going to

try to marginalize them as best they can. Mitch McConnell wants that to happen because they want to start afresh in four years and somebody like Nikki Haley or Governor Noem of South Dakota, somebody like that, that they're looking to put forth, not Trump. They don't want to go back because they realize how controversial. Now, there's one caveat. If the economy collapses, if we're in severe economic trouble, then Trump would take on a lot of power. almost immediately. And then people would start to turn to the guy who's proven that he can run a very efficient economic engine.

So that is if Trump wants it. You know, I think the guy's devastated myself. I have not spoken to him. I have not spoken to him. I think that he's had it. I think he should just pull back for six months, just watch, defend himself. Obviously, he's going to have to do that. but there's going to be a rapidly changing landscape in America.

People want to know that. That the stuff that Biden is doing is not going to work out in the long run. It's not. And it's just a matter of how fast the progressives collapse. The idea of Donald Trump sitting on the sidelines, does he have the discipline? I mean, if he sat back and was just invisible, except for defending himself in court, et cetera, et cetera,

but if he were invisible for six to eight months and the economy or whatever starts to really go bad, he will be, because it happens to every president. Once you leave, you start going, you know, that guy wasn't so bad. And if he really stays out, but does he have the discipline to stay out, of the fray? Well, I think he should watch the Elvis Come Back Special.

Elvis disappeared for a couple of years, remember? Right. And then he got that leather jacket out of the closet, dusted it off. But Elvis changed. Elvis didn't do the Elvis when he disappeared. Elvis came back and did something entirely different.

But that's what Trump's going to. have to do. So Trump, you know, he basically should go to the mountain and you could, you know, and I think he's going to write a book. I don't know anybody who's going to publish it, but I'll help him. Yeah, he doesn't need a publisher. He doesn't need a publisher. Yeah, I go to order with him. Yeah. So, you know, at this point in history, the strength that traditional America has is twofold. And people don't know that they're very distraught and they're angry and they're lashing out. and all this. I say the traditional forces are coming back strong for two reasons. Number one, the judiciary that Trump put into place. And that's why the progressive hated them so much,

the three Supreme Court justices and all the other circuit justice judges. And the second thing is the progressive policies are horrible. You can't run a country this way. You can't devastate the fossil fuel industry because there's a theory that climate change is going to overwhelm Long Island. I mean, everybody wants a cleaner planet and technology is so rapidly developing that we'll be able to have a blend of fossil fuel. It's all happening right now. But the way the heavy-handed totalitarianism that the New York Times and Hollywood and all these people are encouraging, loudly encouraging. Senator McCarthy got destroyed, but at one time he was the most powerful senator in the country.

That's going to happen again. You wait and see back. You got this on tape now. Well, I will ask you the same question. Gosh, I asked somebody just the other day. I don't remember who it was. And I said, look, that was, McCarthy was one person. One person.

This is the entire system of government from the left. And, you know, it was, Senator, do, have you no shame? Now you have to say that to the press. You have to say that to almost everybody on the left. And how do you get that out? Well, at one time, everybody was behind McCarthy. I mean, one of his top aides was Bobby Kennedy. Yeah.

And it turned because people saw how dangerous to them that McCarthyism was. Today, with the Internet and with the social media companies in an incredible display of arrogance, everybody, everybody knows that, hey, this could happen to me. I could get my Twitter account poll or my Facebook account poll. It could absolutely happen. So all registered Republicans aren't going to be allowed to be on social media. It could happen. All right, it can't happen because, as I said, there are going to be lawsuits and it's going to be nasty.

If these people keep pushing it, it's not going to be like Venezuela. When those people had no power at all. People who live in Venezuela, and have any power at all. I don't know whether you've been there, but I have. All right. It's all poor people. The Army controls it, and that's that. Here, consumers have power in America.

I mean, people have a voice. And so it's not the same. But the overreach of the progressive left with a very weak president, because Biden is very weak, I think it's going to accelerate in two years. I think the Republicans could control both houses, a Congress, which would be the end of Biden. I would hope that you are correct. A lot of things have to fall just directly into place.

When have I not been correct, Beck? When have I not been? You know, that's what you have to take. You have to take. And by the way, Beck, I sent you killing the mob, which is out May 4th. When, where? I do not have it.

When and where? I want. When I sent you killing crazy horse and we sent it four times, I don't have it. I don't know where it is. There's some flaw in the bet system. Well, you are on a pursuer list. They're afraid of saying. All right, all right, all right.

You sent it. When did you send it? Because I'm going to look. My assistant sent it to you. First time we got the galley, I said, first one goes to bet. Uh-huh. Because he's in killing the mob. And when is that?

I'm in that? Yeah, because Johnny Roselli and Sam Jankana wanted to kill you. So when did you send it? When did you send it? I'm going to look for it. Do you send it after the new year? There is an interesting story out today that Biden has selected Rebecca Kelly Slaughter, a Democratic commissioner at the Federal Trade Commission, commission to lead the agency for any kind of trade problems.

Anybody who is, I don't know, maybe out of control as a country. company. The interesting thing is slaughter was against Donald Trump's executive order in May seeking to change the implementation of the federal law that protects social media companies from liability for content posted by their users. She didn't like that at all. So she's now in charge of making sure those social media companies, all they are in line. She didn't really have a problem with the social media companies. It's kind of a surprise. Some would say a payback, but we'll see how that goes.

It's shocking. I mean, I will say the cabinet is not not shaping up to something that I'm going to like very much. Really? Yeah. Huh. I mean, there's a, you know, there's some, there's some non-terrible names in there, maybe. Jen Saki's not bad. But outside of that.

Jen Saki. Yeah, she's the, press secretary, right? Press secretary, yeah. Yeah. You know, outside of her, though, I mean, it's been a disaster, I think. what makes her good? I mean, she's done a good job so far. Really?

Yeah, like, you know, people are wrecking her for this interaction about the masks yesterday, but I thought she handled it pretty well. Do we have the happen, they have the audio of how she handled it? Here she is. Why weren't President Biden and all members of the Biden family

masks at all times on federal lands last night if he signed an executive order that mandates masks on federal lands at all times? At the inaugural. At the Land Memorial. I think Steve, he was celebrating an evening of a historic day in our country. And certainly he signed the mask mandate because it's a way to send a message to the American public about the importance of wearing masks, how it can save tens of thousands of lives.

And then he goes out of. This is a horrible. As you know here in terms of testing, social distancing, mask wearing ourselves as we do every single day. But I don't know that I have more for you. you want it than that. You have a secret crush on her, don't you? All right. We have been fighting this free speech thing since very early on in man's life, most likely, in caves. You can't say that. So what are we doing now? The conservatives in America are talking about it, but the left is pushing for big tech to regulate

our speech, our thoughts, what we can read, what we can't read. Well, in Poland, they're pushing back hard. They know what the loss of free speech really means. Thank you for coming on. It's a pleasure. We want to talk to you a little bit about what Europe is doing. guys don't have the First Amendment that we have a guaranteed right by our Constitution for Freedom of Speech. So you guys have to address it a little differently. But you are, you are one of the stronger voices, not only in Poland, but all in Europe, warning about what is happening with Big Tech. Tell me what it is like in Poland. What's happening? Maybe we don't have a First Amendment because it's directly stated in our Constitution.

The freedom of speech is one of the most important freedoms in our constitution, in our tradition. And we saw that big tech companies, especially Facebook and YouTube, from time to time censor several content which is not illegal. For example, Christian or patriotic content said that this is hate speech. So this is disturbing because who will judge? Who will judge what is hate speech? And these anonymous moderators decide what is disputed publicly, what is discussed publicly.

And we started to draft a bill on free speech on social media we finished drafting that bill on December and we are aware that some kind of bill regulating big tech are

enforced right now in Germany and in France but their approach is to force social media to delete some content but our approach is to prevent the legal content from being censored and we finished drafting our bill on December and last week and last weeks we saw this big dispute in the US regarding banning Donald Trump, President Trump.

Many publishers, many politicians right now are interested in our concept because we saw that freedom of speech is in danger. We want to protect it. So we're talking now to the Deputy Minister of Justice of Poland about free speech. You know, in doing my work on history, Poland is a country that just gets walked on over and over and over again through history. If you just look at World War II, you're the gateway to Europe or the gateway to Russia. and the saddest tales, I think, come from these great freedom fighters who were fighting the Nazis only then to be occupied by the communists who did much of the same thing. So we don't have that here in America. In America, we don't have a history of somebody telling us what to do.

And we're, I would say a little soft, but we're very soft. We are very fat and we don't, we just don't think it could happen here at America. Tell us what you're seeing and is there a historic context that makes Poland more aware of the value of being able to say whatever it is you want to say. No, our history reached on the events where we saw censorship in 18th century. Poland was and both Germany, Russia and Habsburg, Austria. And in 20th century, like you said, we were under communist power and my parents remember the censorship even in 80s of communist regime. We in Poland are very careful about freedom of speech.

We think we are cheering freedom of speech because in some time we cannot free speak of our minds. I can give you a nice historical example of censorship on history, because you mentioned that Poland was occupied by German Nazi. And today we have a decision of Facebook which banned an advertisement campaign by a Polish Institute of National Remembrance to present the history for children, Polish children in Wuch, where they were like a concentration camp and many of them died there. and Facebook banned this material to be promoted as a part of showing Polish history. And we see that there is a problem with censorship. There are many dangers in big tech companies which we should face.

We should try to regulate because in history you have many at the beginning. It was a private. Only private organization, but when the moment, when this devices were used by everyone in our lives, these companies create monopoles. And this monopoles in some way started to be regulated by the state, because every citizen must be protected. The rights of every one of us should be protected. And freedom of it is very important to be protected to preserve democracy itself.

So that's why we decided one year ago to start drafting this kind of bill. And now we are trying to adopt this law. So the difference here in the debate we're having right now is you're seeing Silicon Valley as a monopoly, a cartel, I think, is what you've actually described it as. And so the government, what your proposal is, what you're moving towards is the government has to decide what speech. is hate speech and which is not. That concerns many of us and concerns me here in America for our system because I don't want the government to decide what free speech is. That's not their role in under our constitution with the Bill of Rights. Our constitution says that they cannot do those things. Are you concerned at all after seeing decades of oppression in Poland from an out-of-control

government. Are you concerned at all that that could be turned around against the Polish people if a bad government gets in? Different and similar proposals in Germany, France or even European Commission, because they presented also in December the project of Regulation Digital Services Act, which obliges the big tech company to comply with European law. And I will be a good project of regulation digital services, which, which obliges the big tech company to comply with European law. and our proposal is that the government may step in only if someone in Poland complains about being banned. So this decision of government is not about to order Facebook or Twitter or YouTube to delete your account or your content, but to restore it if the decision of big tech company is not complying with Polish law.

So we want to protect freedom of speed in this mechanism. And thank you for this question because it's tricky. If government say, okay, okay, we are protecting freedom of speed. And we decide which is, what's legal and at the beginning in regulation big tech companies, we want to criticism of banning some stuff

because you have some content which is illegal like I don't know pornography, terrorism etc and the government

should be able to react however there is an area like freedom of speech freedom of opinion public discussions on the crucial

topics and the government should protect. Proposition is Big Tech is signed with of regulation people, some users which are banned on social media

because, for example, hate speech and the government may say no, it's not a hate speech. It's an opinion which is maybe hard, maybe controversial, but it is opinion. And this opinion is covered by

freedom of of speech preserved by Polish constitution. And this is the effect we want to make. Talking to the Deputy Prime Minister of Justice, member of Parliament of Poland, about the regulation of high tech over in Poland, I thank you very much for your article in Newsweek and your wake-up plea to the United States

and everything that you're doing for your country. I will tell you, I've been to Poland once. It's absolutely beautiful. there is amazing. I have friends that go over quite a bit and they tell me I've I've wanted to go back just to witness this. They tell me that your youth, the millennials in Poland, are wide awake and are some of the best scholars on freedom and and liberty that are in the world. And I find that exciting that your younger generation is appreciating what was so long and hard fought for by your parents and grandparents.

Very nice to hear that, and I think that you should definitely go back to Poland, and I will be happy to have a coffee with you in Warsaw. Oh, that'd be great. Thank you so much. I appreciate it. It is, I wish we could have understood him a little bit more to have more of a conversation with him. Because the history of Poland, especially when it comes to speech, is remarkable. I mean, there's a story about this couple in Poland that eventually went to gulags. But they believed in freedom. and they would not let their voices be silenced. And they would go from house to house and they would do a broadcast, an eight-minute broadcast. And then they would shut it down, go someplace else, open it up, an eight-minute broadcast.

And they didn't know if they were having any effect at all. But they, on one of their broadcasts, they said, we don't have any idea if anyone is actually listening to us. but if you're listening to us and you believe that Poland should be free, just blink your lights. They went outside after their eight-minute broadcast and they said all of Warsaw was just twinkling in the distance. People were seeking them out because you can't squash truth. You can't. That country has a history of that.

we don't you know it was john f kennedy that put the fairness doctrine in he put the fairness doctrine in because the republicans were talking politics on the radio and he didn't like that well i don't care if you don't like it i mean i really didn't like the al frankin show i'll go further i don't really like al frankin but he had a show on radio and so be it okay let him talk The deal is just like those people in Poland with the with the lights in Warsaw. Nobody listens to stuff that you just don't believe, that you just, that doesn't make sense. You're not listening to Al Franken. It wasn't good.

We are like the Hollywood for the right. You know, this is the one thing that we're good at getting our message out on. And we're good. This and the Internet. We're good at it. in a very different way that they don't know how to be good at and they can't compete and they want a monopoly and they can't get it. I will tell you that everybody I know is lawyering up.

Everybody I know. I talked to Megan Kelly about this just the other day about how she is leading a group or consulting a group to get the best lawyers in to represent, in her case, not the media. But the average person to be able to go into your schools, don't take it. You can't take it. I know we were all taught to be nice and kind, and we still have to be nice and kind, but we have to speak out. I don't want to say anything. I don't want to cause trouble.

I don't want somebody to pick on my son or daughter at school because the teachers know that I don't like what they're teaching. It's your son or daughter. It's their future. Forget about your future. Forget about the future of the freedom of the world. Your son and daughter are not going to have the freedoms and the opportunity you have if you don't stand up and speak out and be relentless on it. This is the Glendack program. Right now, the American public looks at journalists and reporters. 56% said yes to this. journalists and reporters are purposely trying to mislead people by saying things they know are false or gross exaggerations. 56%. 58% almost 60% of this country says that most news organizations are more concerned with supporting an ideology or political position than with informing the public. That is not good, not good for an industry or for a nation. And, you know, it's really interesting. The battle lines have been drawn.

And in some ways, both sides are so incredibly stupid. So stupid. The parties are so stupid. Hear me out for a second. Stu, take yourself back to 2016. What did both of us? What were both of us afraid of with Donald Trump? I mean, lots of things, but the big one.

Yeah, in 2016. I mean, one of the big fears was. was that the Democrats would come to him and not vilify him and instead embrace him warmly. Flatter him and send all of the stars to him. Yeah. And, you know, obviously Donald Trump had some pretty serious policy preferences in some areas, but a lot of it he didn't. I mean, he didn't talk about a lot of that stuff. He cared about trade and cared about war and cared about immigration and those things.

But there was room to negotiate with Trump. And that's what he wanted to do. he said he wanted to make deals. Instead, they came in and immediately vilified him and made him Satan and, you know, marched on Washington the day he took office and all this nonsense. And it set up this, I think for our side, a positive adversarial relationship where they just hated each other the entire time. Now, but there was another strategy for the Democrats to execute that they could have executed in 2016. Correct.

That could have got a lot of their stuff done. I mean, there are. If they would have just played their cards differently. Yeah. He became so adamant about the press and the left because they just kept attacking him. They're unfair from day one. Unfair from day one. I mean, and someone who learned this lesson, I think, well and took advantage of it was Van Jones.

Yep. Who was obviously a real enemy of the right at one point. And still is not an, I don't think. Enemy is the wrong word. But I mean, you know, like he was an opponent. certainly a big liberal, a big Obama administration official. Was a big communist. Yes.

And he went in and worked with the Trump administration, including Jared Kushner and Donald Trump himself, along with people like Kim Kardashian, who went in there. Instead of saying, you're the worst person on the planet, we hate you, they came in and said, you know what? Here's something we can work together on. I think we probably agree on this. And they were able to work out criminal justice reform, to the dismay of many conservatives who didn't like that approach at all. And that approach could have been used a lot more

often if the Democrats actually, you know, cared about that and thought it through. Thankfully, they didn't, frankly, because I, well, they're still not. I mean, they didn't learn their lesson at all. No. Because here's, because here's what's happening. Donald Trump, I think, could have had, Donald Trump would have been a kingmaker, a kingmaker, uh, and would be a shoe in for 2020. if he wouldn't have played the ending like he did. If he would have said when we were looking into the recounts and everything else, look, I'm not looking to win. I just want a fair look at these things.

If it comes out and shows that I didn't win, that's fine. But the American people and the American people on both sides would have heard that and it would have softened the blow if he would have been up on the, he did not incisive. that riot. He did not incite that riot. But he didn't do anything to overtly discourage things. If he would have discouraged it right away on stage and said, look, we're peaceful. And, you know, I hope Mike Pence does these things. But if he doesn't, the Republic goes on. Right. I know what you mean. He said some of those things. But it, it did not seem like. He framed it around. This was a stolen

an election and and I believe he believes that. I believe that. But I don't have any proof. And without proof, you can't, you can't change the Constitution. Right. But what's interesting about that, though, and it can be rehashed the details of that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But there are enough Republicans who were, you know, say, establishment types that were so

horrified by what happened on January 6th and the way Trump handled it, that if, again, Democrats had decided to take a different approach and go to them and say, look, we're going to pass some stuff. It's going to be liberal. We have control of the government. It's going to be liberal. You're not going to like a lot of it. However, we can be sensible here and avoid your worst case scenarios.

And we're going to come to you and we're going to play ball. You probably get 15 Republican senators to go along with this because they're so horrified about the way that ended and they want that era gone and they want to have a little bit of a, of a, they would come to the table in a way that would make all. All of us, real conservatives feel uncomfortable about the what they were doing. And once again, the Democrats are threatening not to do that. I mean, Chuck Schumer is going to Mitch McConnell and saying, we're not going to take the filibuster off the table. The filibuster is the gateway to every crazy proposal we've heard.

It's the only balance of power left if they control all three branches or if we would control all three branches. It's the only thing that slows the machine down. Doesn't stop it. It just slows the machine down. Yeah, and you are able to pass things like more Supreme Court justices, packing the courts, extra states. All of these sort of like outlier proposals can only occur if they can get rid of the filibuster. And so it's funny because Joe Manchin, before the Georgia election, assured everyone he would not vote for these things. These things are not possible.

I'm not going to go against the filibuster. Of course, I'm a Senate institutionalist. I would never get rid of the filibuster. And he has as much credibility as Joe Exotic at this point. I think that's an insult to Joe Exotic personally. I think so too. I think so too. But they just went to him because Schumer is holding this over McConnell's head.

And McConnell's trying to get this sort of power arrangement. He wants things like, you know, let's delay the Senate trial on Trump a few weeks so we could put together a legitimate defense. And they don't want that to happen. And they're pushing and they're pushing and they're rolling over all of his demands. And they're holding up. The one thing McConnell wants more than anything is don't get rid of the filibuster. Promise you're not going to get rid of the filibuster. And shockingly, Chuck Schumer is not promising that.

He's saying, oh, well, look, we have to hold that over your head. We're essentially using that as leverage. Now, Joe Manchin has said he's not going to vote for it. So in theory, he doesn't have any leverage if you believe Joe Manchin. So they went to Joe, they said, hey, Joe, like, you already said you're not going to vote for this. So he has no leverage. He's just BSing, right? Oh, well, I think Chuck Schumer has the right to do that.

He absolutely should be using that for leverage. I mean, look, these Republicans are not going to grind this government to a halt. He's telling you in advance the second they need him for that 50th vote. You can smell the lion cage every time he's on TV now. Just take a deep breath. When you hear him talk, take a deep breath, you'll smell the lions in his backyard. Yes. Joe Mansion will not protect you.

He will throw you to the lions. I promise when it comes down to it, if they need his vote and they will, want to go this direction. He will be there, not for you, but for the left. So it's really interesting that we're having this conversation. Because where did this conversation start? It started with if you wanted unity, if you wanted to be smart, you know, the one thing about Bill Clinton was, not his wife, but him, is he was smart enough to know, all right, let's balance the power a little bit. I'll give you this. You give me that. But they think that they have won everything. And they know they only have two years. So they don't care about unity. They don't care about bipartisanship. When they say,

we want these votes to come in bipartisan, well, of course they do. But what does that mean? One vote, three votes, five votes? What does that mean? That's not bipartisan. There's nothing. They're not offering anything to the other side. So their unity, cry is is just that. It's bull crap. It's, you know, it's, it's like, look, I'll let you, I'll let you out of prison. You just sign this document. You're like, well, but nothing on that document is anything I agree with. Well, okay. Well, I thought we could come together on this. I thought we could come together on. No, I can't. That's not true. That's, I don't believe those things. Yeah. This is a return to the Obama style bipartisanship, which is like, we really like you to agree with

us times 10, I think, because Obama had enough Clinton people that were still like, well, let's just, let's, you know, let's play it this way, let's play it that way. And in his own book, he says, I regret, I just didn't go for it. And so now they're just going to go for it. And I think if Bill O'Reilly is right, it's going to backfire. released uh released today jason whitlock is an hour interview with me uh on the podcast that's released tomorrow but uh it is um bill o'reilly has said he thinks this is going to come undone as a guy who has studied revolutions, the only thing they don't have is a complete control over the media. They don't have complete control over the armed forces, because the armed forces, I think, I think, are still loyal to the Constitution. I don't want them loyal to Donald Trump or loyal to Joe Biden. I want them loyal to the Constitution of the United States.

You protect and defend that. But we'll see. There are a lot of people that were planted in all of these places in the Obama administration. And the one thing I talked to somebody who was in the White House. He said the one thing that Donald Trump figured out too late, he was going for the justices, and he was going for all of the courts. And he said, get these people into the courts. And remember, he didn't put, he didn't put people into positions. He had all those open positions in the administration.

Remember that? He didn't go and look for the diehard fighters. And that's what Obama did. He looked for the diehard fighters. And right before he left, they were transitioned into non-political appointees. So they were now basically unfirable. With all of those openings, Trump thought he could do the second term. He would take care and root out the deep state.

He was just trying to find the deep state while he was appointing all of these judges. He didn't find it until too late. We needed four more years to root that out. That's what they're doing now. They're putting these things in and they're putting them deep and in concrete. You watch. This administration will be not as much about what is being passed in Congress as as as much as these agencies and what the government agencies are doing and cementing that with rebar.

and just making it so you just can't pull this thing out. This structure is going to be permanent. That's their goal. And that's what we need to watch for. Real estate agents, I trust.com. If you need a real estate agent to buy a new house, let's say you're moving across the country,

New Jersey, people are just leaving like crazy. I don't know why that didn't happen before. I mean, it's New Jersey, but they're leaving like crazy. You need to sell your house. It's going to be hard up there. You need a great real estate agent that has all of the right connections, knows how to advertise your home, already has a base that will want to look for a home like yours, and know how to price it to move. The new Assistant Secretary of Health, who was the former Secretary of Health for Pennsylvania, transgender, Andrea Palm. She came out yesterday and she said that shaming people who are transgender, gender and name calling, she believes should be categorized as a mental illness. Now, why is that a problem? Because now, if you have a differing opinion, you go down that road, instead of saying, it's wrong, it's not polite, it's unkind, it's cruel, whatever, now you categorize that as a mental illness. So now you open the door to I have a difference of opinion and your point of view is, is, is hateful and really a condition of mental illness. Now you don't get arrested.

Now you go to a asylum. Now you go in and you're taken off the streets because you're sick. You're really sick. I mean, have you ever heard that before in any country where they do that? take people who disagree with the government and put them in institutions? No. That's frightening. I can't find that story.

Is that real? Yeah, that's real. I saw it in a story. We talked about it yesterday in our producer's meeting. And I can't find it today. Jeez. Now, she doesn't have the, I don't think she has the reins to be able to do any of that. But that's what she said. This should be labeled as a mental illness.

It's like they talk about it, the church. It's not the building that makes the church. It's the people within the church that make the church. And that's what makes America America. It's not this select elected a few, elected few people that that, that, that, that's, not America. That's part of our government. But this country was built on the American people. And I tell people, I was like, I don't care if Mickey Mouse is elected president or Donald Duck. I care about my country. But regardless of who gets elected, I'm going to wake up every morning.

I'm going to work hard. I'm going to pay my taxes. I'm going to be the best dad that I can be. And I'm going to focus on the things that I can control. And I mean, I care. about the future of this country. I know you do. And that's why I thought to myself, you know what? What can I do to make an impact? And I was like, I have my music.

The American people have, they're tired. They're tired and they're beaten down. And, you know, I listen to, are you familiar with the group AJR? I've heard of them. Okay. I think they're really good.

My son turned me on to them. And I think they're really good. I listen to them, like I listened to them on the way in today, because their lyrics are positive. You know what I mean? They're just, don't give up, you know, don't listen to what other people say. Just do it, you know.

And everybody has their own gift. And instead of doing what everybody else is doing or you're doing what your gift is. Yeah. And adding to the puzzle piece. Yeah, exactly. Can I ask you, because I know this, I used to be a music programmer. Yeah. For radio for a long time.

and I know how the music industry works. Yeah. And I know how freaked out. I remember, you remember, Stu, were you with me when somebody in Nashville called me into their office? And I just started the blaze and they said,

do you have any advice for us? Because it was, the record industry was falling apart, falling apart. And they didn't have any idea what to do. And I remember walking out of the office thinking, boy, they just don't get it.

you're the only and the first and I believe the only artist to chart at number one as an independent with almost no stations playing you. Yep. Which is incredibly unheard of. Yeah. And very hard to do. Your last five albums have all charted top five, even though now corporate radio refusing. to play you because of the pushback from the record labels because they don't want other artists to do what you've done because then they're out of business. Yeah. I'm definitely, my business model

is a threat to the mainstream major label way of doing things because if all of a sudden you have all these independent artists out there not needing major record labels to have radio success, then it puts them all out of a job. So it's

the politics. The But for me, it becomes very personal because music is the family business. So when I have program directors at stations that have been playing me, telling me, I'm getting calls from New York telling me I cannot play you anymore. It becomes personal. And for me, it's more, it's not, like, I'm not bitter. I'm so blessed. I mean, just like you said, I mean, the reason why we charted an album number one on country Billboard,

is because God's blessed me with the best fans in the world. I mean, what you've done for me with the Vakero record, the Red Bandana record, I mean, it's been amazing. Your fans and my music go hand in hand. Yeah, they do. It's been amazing. I mean, before all this shutdown, you know, after every show, I'm hanging out at the merch booth. You know, you buy a ticket.

I always tell people, you bought a ticket. The hugs are free. you know, after shows. So many of your people coming and supporting me. But it's one of those things where I finally have taken it very personal. There's been so many. We've done things. We have, there's only been three songs in 60 years on top 40 radio that have charted top 10 by an independent artist.

And I think, well, out of style was the only one to do it in the last 20-something years. And then we had a couple of top four. 40s, but we started, we just, we got ousted, we got booted. And you know what? I thought to myself, I don't have to put up with this. I'm going to fight for my business. It's remarkable to me how we're fighting for our voice to be heard and we're independent and everyone who's not independent is suddenly coming to us going, how do we do this? How do we do this? How can we do this? How can we do this? Because they're snuffing out voices. People don't. realize that the voice of the independent artist is also gone. It's just gone. It is absolutely

gone. And that's where I thought to myself. So it's, you know, I know from a business standpoint that since I'm the custodian and the CEO at my label, that I need to be talking about everyone going and buying the new album, American Soul, are downloading and it's streaming it. And it's out there now. But I put this album out last Friday and then I went back in the studio two days later and I recorded another record. Which you would never do if you were on a label. Never. Never. But I'm hungry and I'm fired up and I'm excited about the music and I'm excited about being that voice for not just independent artists everywhere, but the small businessman. I mean, you don't have to, I mean, I'm not going to go down without a fight.

And rather than throw punches with my fists, we're going to do it melodically speaking. And it's fun. And I have something to say. Are you back on the road again? No, we had a little, we took the little four-month involuntary vacation. Had the time of my life.

Yeah, we did too. You and I talked on the phone about it. And I've told people, I'm like, listen, Shows were canceled. A lot of money was lost, and I made priceless memories with my family. Likewise. My dad's my hero. My dad was also a custodian growing up. And I cleaned toilets side by side with my dad for all those years. And I always tell people, you're only worth what someone will pay in that moment. And I remember I got on Facebook and Instagram and all that. And I said, hey, guys, I go, I'm going to play this little wedding. And I was just thinking, you know, I'm not touring. So if you have birthday parties or Quintaneras or bar mitzvahs, barbecues, call me up.

It's a once in a lifetime. I went and played a little girl's birthday party. I didn't charge them, but just 20 miles from Abilene. Because I was like, I'm going to do this because I love people. And didn't that happen on, I think I follow you on social media. Didn't that happen? Didn't she? It happened on social media.

Yeah. This sweet little girl, special needs, invited me to her birthday. And she's. Her name's Ginger Joe. That was her name, Ginger Joe. And we sang together. And probably the song that I, my least favorite song in the history of music is that Old Town Road song. And Ginger Joe asked me if I'd sing it with her.

And I said, yes, ma'am. And I googled the words. But, you know, gosh, this year has just, it is, it has changed me for the better. And we were just talking off air here about a group I mentioned. Stu had never heard of AJR. I don't know if you have either.

My son about a year ago introduced them to me. And I absolutely love them. Now, this is going to destroy their career, this segment. And they'll probably have to come out and say, that guy, we hate that guy. I get it. I get it. but they're so positive. Their lyrics are so relatable.

Music, I mean, if I were still a music programmer, I would be playing all of their music. I don't even know if they're big. That's another thing that had ruined a lot of artists' career. Yeah. Are you embracing their music when you were a music programmer?

No, actually it was good. I mean, I think it was the first pop person to play like Stone Temple Pilots and Pearl Jam. There's a great era of this one radio station, KC 101 in New Haven, Connecticut. That was like the radio station I listened to growing up. And the morning show back in the day was this little morning show called Glenn and Pat in the morning. Right.

And then Glenn eventually got control of the music. And there's just this one weird era where they just changed from pop music, which they played their entire history, to like, cool alternative rock in the 90s, like for like a year and a half. But we were just following the trends. Yeah. You could tell when Glenn was in control and when he was no longer in control. Because then it sucked again. But that's a different story. All right.

Why were we talking about that, Stu? What were we talking about? I think we're just just wanted to share. I have been listening to positive music. I should put out my playlist of positive music. I have all this, you know, like just this all like Bing Crosse. be kind of stuff, all that era of standards that are that are all positive. And I've just been trying to pump myself up with positive music, spiritual music, just and it makes a difference.

It really does. It makes a difference. I know. I'm very excited about the inauguration playlist from the Biden administration. Oh my gosh. I clicked on that right away. Yeah. Right to get to it. Eating at the French laundry. It wasn't me. You even had the clam chowder. It wasn't me. Sir, we got you on camera. It wasn't me. You said we can't be super spreading. It wasn't me.

So I missed my brother's wedding. It wasn't me. You jailed a barber for hair dressing. Wait, I have a wedding. This is getting upset. This is from reason.com. He is really, really talented. Yeah.

Look at how good the right is getting at these things. Do you remember just 10 years ago? Nobody was doing this. Nobody could pump stuff out and have it really good quality and have it be competitive. Yeah, and reasons obviously like libertarian a little bit. Yeah. But I mean, like look at some of the stuff Stephen Crowder's been doing. I mean, it's just.

Yeah. Cheers. Just brilliant stuff. And we're starting to have a stable of these people. You know, Nicole Arbor, she is, she's taken off online. Yeah. And if you lose the culture war, you lose everything. We've lost the culture war.

But we are making great strides. And I think that's why they're trying to shut the right up because we're growing. As a group of people, we're growing and we're learning how to tell good story. produce funny things and be competitive. That's really a big accomplishment. Yeah, and it's a much better pursuit than sitting around trying to figure out who to boycott and who to ban. Yeah. I mean, even Jason Whitlock, he's on our podcast this weekend.

Sports do teach the values that best simplify America.

But I think that, and again, this is really big picture, but we're starting to now really understand it. Like China and our competitors figure it out if you really want to influence American culture, you have to get in the sports world. You have to influence that. If you can turn that left, Marxist, progressive, whatever, then you have a chance to really influence American culture and spend the whole culture in a negative direction. So when did this, when did this happen? because it seems like to an outside observer, the American pastime, American football.

It was always America. And then it's seemingly on the outside, on a dime, all of a sudden it's hate America. And this is what's wrong with America and preaching all the time. And when did that happen? And why did that happen? I don't think it was on. dime and there's been a process, but go look at, and again, I'm not some super harsh

Barack Obama critic, but I'm just let the facts speak for themselves. Barack Obama intentionally partnered with ESPN because he wanted to get to speak to that sports audience. Right. And he, every year, the NCAA tournament, Barack Obama filling out his bracket. Right. Barack Obama, the greatest basketball fan in the history of the presidency. Let's go do short stories on Barack playing basketball in the backyard of the White House.

And let's Barack at NBA games. And so there was like a process of like, let's move left-wing stuff into the sports world. The other thing as it relates to basketball, and that was Barack Obama's big thing. Nike, the shoe company. Nike is a much bigger business, five, six times much more lucrative than the NBA. Nike actually runs the NBA. The NBA is a marketing arm of Nike. Nike's relationship with China is the key to all of this.

this because it's still popping up online. But I told you last hour that I saw a story yesterday and couldn't find it on Google. And it was about the new Assistant Secretary of Health, Rachel Levine, who is transgender and was the health secretary of the state of Pennsylvania. And she had said, according to the story I saw yesterday, she had said that she was looking at misnaming and misgendering as a mental illness. As I told you last hour, I don't think she was proposing that. It was just something off the cuff. I had only seen that one story, and I was trying to look for it.

couldn't find it. It looks as though the news story, the author has deleted, but it's still up on internet blogs. So we're waiting for the AP to confirm, but it looks like it's not true. What is true, Twitter has banned misgendering on its platform, and Canadian human rights law now says it's a form of discrimination, but it is not a mental illness at this point, which would be a really bad move. Now, here's what I'm really upset about, A, that I aired that before correction, and I may not, I'm thinking that I should correct it now, but I still don't even have verification from AP that I should, but I'm just in just being cautious on this. What I'm really mad about is that somebody out there is giving these people ideas. stop giving them ideas. They'll do these crazy things.

So I had something interesting. I'm actually at work. So if you hear loud noises behind me, just ignore them. It's all right. I saw something on Facebook. There was somebody posted something. It was a short video. No description.

And if you typed in, they talked. they typed in Antifa.com into a Google search and it took you to the White House website, whitehouse.gov. Now, during the campaign, if you typed in Antifa.com, it went to Joe Biden's fundraising website, which, you know, was interesting. And I don't know if it's legitimate.

No, I highly doubt Antifa.com is owned by Antifa. It's probably somebody very smart. that is making some political commentary. Because it is true. I just typed in antifa.com and it does go right to the White House. Yeah, I think I believe it's someone on the right who has taken the web address and has done something fun with it to make a little bit of a point. Which is weird because, you know, Antifa's just an idea anyway. We know it's not a real group, just an idea.

I will tell you, it reminds me of the story of glenbeck.com with one end. that I tried for years to buy from this guy. And he was a squatter, and he wouldn't do it, wouldn't do it, wouldn't do it. The guy sold it to him, which was me and my company. for five grand. And I just remember thinking, boy, you're really stupid. A week ago, you would have had a hundred grand. Now you got five. And it's going to redirect you now to glenbeck.com. Which it does. I just, uh, just checked. So maybe that's the same story. Antifa. They were like, I, you know, I don't know what to do.
