What is Article 1, Section 8 again? First of all, I want to say that Lear Capital, good sponsor for this particular segment. Yes. Section 8, powers of Congress. The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes, duties,

imposts, and excises to pay the debts and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States, but all duties, imposts, and excises should be uniformed throughout the United States. Okay, so can you find the grooming, binding, and tucking clause? Grooming and binding and tucking. I'm searching for those words, I'm not seeing them in Section 8.

Is it possible? What would they have called? What would the founders, is probably old time he speak? What would the founders have put in the Constitution if our teenagers wanted to bind their breast or tuck their wiener in. What would that be under? That's the one I think is in the invisible ink on the back. Oh, where you need the special Ben Franklin glasses.

Exactly. All right. Right. You nailed it. Okay. Well, you know, I have to tell you, you know, when we have, what is it, 400,000? Well, let me just go through what we have. We have $500 million appropriated for the Defense Security Cooperation Agency.

I don't even know that it. Oh, okay. Wait, wait, wait. For Operation Maintenance Defensewide for the government of Jordan to support the armed forces of Jordan and to enhance security along its borders. You know, it bothers me that they say there's no real spending. for borders, you know? And because there's lots.

There's $500 million for Jordan to protect its borders. Of the amounts of property of this act under the heading of Operation and Defense, blah, blah, blah, the Defense Secretary Cooperation Agency, $380 million on top of the 500 will be available. Oh, boy, we are being tough. Only until September 30th, this offer expires. It'll be available to reimburse Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia, and Oman for the National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year of 2016 for enhanced border security, which not less than $150 million will be for Jordan.

So they get, Jordan gets the, let's see, they get the $500 million to protect their borders, then they can dip back in and get another $150 million. to protect their borders. So I think this is good. You know, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't have a problem with it. Now, there is, there's a couple of things. There's a couple of things that are a little odd in this. For instance, the money for the, the grooming, binding, and tucking,

they're going to, they're going to give an awful lot of money for new underpins. pants for kids that get their underpants from LGBTQ organizations, which I know my kids have often gotten their underpants from LGBTQ organizations. Because there's a lot of LGBTQ kids out there without underpants. because, you know, that's, well, that's just the way America is right now, under-pantless. And so you have a problem, you greedy capitalist pig, spending this money for underpants, for kids that don't have underpants? And I don't mean just regular underpants. These are special underpanses. They make the weenie go away.

They make the breasts go away. What's next? You people, you just want to see kids without underpants. Oh, no, wait, I'm sorry. Those have lately been just the teachers in the schools that are dreaming about little kids without underpants. So that's good. I don't know. I think this is really going to do, this is going to do well.

I'm pretty sure. I'm pretty sure. Anybody have a problem with it, Stu? Got a problem? You know, I have a minor problem with it, Glenn, that it didn't go far enough. You know, why are we stopping at what, $1.2 trillion? It's basically couch cushion money, you know? Where is the real spending?

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Don't forget, this is only that this is the second bill. The other bill that goes with this, the companion piece. They broke it down. Okay. Well, there were 12 funding bills total. and this one is, you know, they're getting down to the nitty gritty here. And this has been a real, we've seen a real drastic change in the Congress since they've changed out leadership.

Wow. I mean, it's been massive. I've seen, I mean, this spending is just totally changing. They're really doing a great job. And look, there are limitations on this. I get it. They're the minority party overall in the government. What can Republicans do?

Eh, you know, not, I guess, all that much unless they want the, to force. the government to shut down, which they do not want to do. So they're going to keep doing this and spending at levels that Democrats are comfortable with. And they think they're going to, they only need about 100 Republicans to vote for this. About 10 to 15 Democrats will probably vote against it, which leaves about, you know, you need about 100. And they should have no problem getting over that 100 barrier in the House.

So again, there's things go on as normal. There's no problems here. Whatever problems you think there are with spending, you're wrong. Just let them spend as much money as they want on whatever they want. You know, I was reading some of the lists of winners of this bill, Glenn, and they're just great. You know, listen to some of this. This is one from Punchable.

Earmarks are back in a big way. Senator Jerry Moran got 17.5 million for the Eisenhower Library. Senator Lindsey Graham got 11.2 million for AnnMed Health. Retiring Senator Joe Manchin was a winner. He and Shelley Moore Capito locked in 15 million for the Charleston Area Medical Center and 15 million for Marshall University. Senator John Boosman procured 15 million for Lyon College and the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.

Tammy Baldwin was a quiet earmark champ, inserting dozens of earmarks across numerous bills. This is great. Look at all the winners we have from our government. Look at the winners. Yeah. Yeah. And I want to talk about some of the public-private partnerships that are winners, too. The Garden State Equality, I'm sorry.

Yeah, Equality Education Fund, Inc. from New Jersey. They get the underpants, $400,000 of underpants. $850,000 is allocated for the LGBTQ senior housing in Massachusetts. for services for older LGBTQ. It might be a different kind of underpants for them in the senior housing. I'm not really sure. Up to $500 million appropriated for the defense security. Let's see.

Then you have all kinds of money. Did you see the Twitter or the guy on X yesterday? just tweeted this who was giving the actual breakdown put it through chat gpt and said break this down tell me what we're actually spending here what's where is all of this money going well he um it did it did it did really it did pretty well um quite honestly um if you look at the um if you look at the bill you can figure out who's making what? And I have to tell you, there are agencies that I don't even know. I didn't even know existed that are getting billions of dollars, billions of dollars. If you look at what USAID is getting,

do you know what USAID is? USAID is an arm of the CIA. That's all it is. And it's giving money all over the world. And not for anything that you actually think is right, but for what the CIA thinks is right. Anybody who votes for this bill, first of all, it came out what at 2.15 last night? 2.15 a.m., they're supposed to vote on it today or tomorrow. You can't do this.

They've known about this forever. And they've gone out in advance and said to all of the senators and the House members, look, what do you want? What's it going to take for you to pass this bill? They didn't know what was in the bill. What is it going to take for you? Well, I need $15 million for Lindsay Graham Library.

Okay, but you'll support it then? Sure, sure I will. Yeah. You've got to call your senator and your House rep and say, absolutely not. We're going to go through the bill with Thomas Massey here in just a second, but everybody I trust in Congress and the Senate has written me in the last six hours and said, Glenn, can't, can't do it, can't do it. This is, let me give you a quote from one of them. He said, he was really mad. You could tell who this was. He was really, really, really.

This is him super, super mad. He's going off the rails. Glenn, we're going to hell in a handbag. Yeah. You imagine you? I think you can tell which senator that might be, because he was very upset last night. Going to hell in a handbag.

It is really, we are at the last chance to save our country. If you look at all the things that are happening, if we don't turn this thing around by fall, uh, sorry, gang. Sorry, I hate to say it, but you're just not going to come back from, from all of this. The attorney general in New York has now just made their first move to, to take Trump's assets. Looks like he's, they're going after, uh, his golf course in Westchester. So they are taking property away from people now. Congratulations.

Congratulations on that. By the way, speaking of the CIA, the FBI, you know, is going to get another, a brand new, what is it, $200 million building in this bill? And that's what I'm thinking. I'm thinking, you know what, maybe it's the building. Maybe that's just a toxic building. Maybe we need to get them a new $200 million palace for them to operate.

They told us we couldn't talk to this person, this person, or this person. So they were thwarting our investigation. Oh, the CIA was. Oh, okay. You were looking into a crime. Uh-huh. And it was of Joe Biden's kids. Okay.

and you were thwarted and told, no, you can't look at these things. Okay. All right. I don't know about you. Maybe, you know what? Maybe the CIA just needs a bigger building. Maybe that's what we should do. More in just a second.

wives they're all men. Oh, okay. They seem like they were all dudes. They're all 18, 18 to 24, 18 year old men. That's great. That's great. So I thought I was having a good day when I saw that.

And then I got up in the morning and I see that the bill has come out to spend us all into oblivion. And I thought to myself, you know, I got to hand it to him for people who want to destroy the country. and do it with half the country cheering them on, they're doing a pretty good job, doing a pretty good job. I mean, let's look at the bright side of this, you know. This is probably one of the most effective destruction plans for a country that has ever really been pulled off. And I think that's great.

I mean, it is amazing, especially after going through the past few years of what we've seen, right? like we've seen nonstop inflation, you know, that they're trying to brag about now that it's only come down, I mean, it's come down a little bit from its peaks, but it's still relatively high overall. And what's the reason for that? Constant spending. We now seem to have a situation that is different than what we had for the past, I don't know, 20 years or, you know, previous to, I don't know, mid-2010s, where at one point, we always

had the Republicans who at least would say that they didn't want to spend a lot and they would push back and fight about this. And that dynamic has changed. Quite honestly. Both sides don't even seem to care about it anymore. Yeah. I mean, because, you know, look, it's about the ability to see what can be unburdened by what has been. And I think now, you know, I heard that from Kamala once that I yeah and I thought myself you know that's really what we need we mean we need a bunch of GOP guys in there that um you know that have the ability to see what what can be unburdened by what has been gosh and when we have those people that have the ability to see what can be that are unburdened

unburdened by what can be or what has been than we can be those things beyond what we have been. Can you tie this point into unburden yourself? Both electric vehicles, maybe electric school buses

and Venn diagrams. Could you mind just doing that real quick? Yeah, play cut six, please. A movement that has always been about the ability to see what can be unburdened by what has been. So I'm really excited about it. Give me clip seven, two, please.

We have achieved a lot. Carol was so wonderful in her introduction to list what could be, you know, my husband, Doug says it's like a CVS receipt. No, not really.

It just doesn't, I mean, maybe if you've got some serious, maybe if you're going to CVS to pick up the medication for the president, it does go on and on. and I slept for two hours oh my gosh first of all how does your office go through a bill like this we call it control F control F that sucker which is you know hot key for searching it finding things in it

And now not only do you have to search the bill tax, there are addendums that aren't even in the bill that are just as long as the bill that list things like the earmarks. So you've got to go get other documents to find out what's in it. Are people going to vote for this? You know, there's a real question of whether a majority of Republicans will vote for it. I think almost every Democrat's going to vote for it. And that itself should be damning some of the earmarks that we see in. that are funding venues that have drag shows, drag queen shows that include children, training for how to transition without consent of parents involved all the way down to ages 13.

Proms, gay proms for ages 12 to 18 with rooms off to the side in case it's just too much out there at the prom. Just crazy stuff in this. Well, it would be interesting to see. What do you think about Johnson's handling of all of this? I mean, I thought this was what we were fighting against. Well, he's our general, but I think he's been captured by the swamp. I don't, you know, we had lots of options here. We had the thing in law.

It's still in law. It will be gone after today, but it's still in law. The 1% automatic cut, if we just did a CR, if it's, we just did a CR past April 30th, all of the programs get cut 1% and nobody gets an earmark. That should have been the speaker's default position, and he should have drugged these SOBs past April 30th and into that condition. And then he could have negotiated that. These guys would run over their own mother to get their earmarks.

He could have negotiated some stupid little earmarks to get some border security or something. Well, speaking of border security, I mean, yesterday was pretty good, right? I mean, look at all the young women and families and children that came scuttling across our border yesterday. I thought they did it with respect and especially all those nursing babies. It's so demoralizing to see people in U.S. uniforms being overrun and given terms of engagement to basically say surrender to the invaders. It was demoralizing for our country. And it's demoralizing for the troops. These guys, if you're going to put them in harm's way, let them do what they're supposed to do and defend themselves.

This is now the National Guard at the border means nothing. It was a photo op the whole time. If they can't do what they're supposed to do, then pull their asses out. And I'm directing that to Greg Abbott. Yeah, amen. And we, honestly, we should have our own forces there at the border stopping this, but they need to have rules of engagement that aren't, as you said, just photo-op rules of engagement. It makes our country look weak.

And it just invites more people to come to the border. Why are we giving, what is it, 500? How much did I say that was, Stu? Hundreds of millions of dollars to Jordan and Egypt to be able to participate. their borders. Why are we paying for that? It makes no sense. There's also 300 million in this omnibus for Ukraine. You know, I wanted to have you on today to talk about your resolution, your resolution, your amendment that you want to add to the Constitution, which, I mean, it has no chance of passing, Thomas, because there's no common sense anymore.

And the press, I saw when you suggested this, I'm all in. And the press ran headlines like, GOP now wants to control your food. What? Right. What? Or that I'm for Listeria and E. coli or something like that. Look, what I did is I threw out there a constitutional amendment, and I put a little bit of thought into it, because when I, basically, a constitutional

amendment that guarantees your right to be able to grow food and to purchase food from the sources that you want. Because right now we've descended into this corptocracy where four companies control all the meat, a few cooperatives control all of the milk. We see Amish farmers just living off the land, selling to people going to jail, having all of their food confiscated. Our founding fathers, I don't think ever contemplated as getting to this point, is that they didn't put this in the bill of rights because it was just too obvious. But I think that's, we need something like this now. You know, I ran it by Mike Lee before I threw it up there on social media. I'm looking for a Democrat co-sponsor because I think that's key. And it's hard to draft the

constitutional amendment that doesn't do something accidental. For instance, my first version is, I thought, man, this is great. And I read it. And I'm like, no, the left is going to say, this guarantees you're everybody's right to food stamps. And that's not what I want to do. Jeez. So this actually stems from this, this Amish guy who's been arrested is being hassled by the, I don't know,

FDA, FBI, I don't know, some three-letter agency that now, you know, thinks that they can, you know, go in with a SWAT team to an Amish farmer. And this is ridiculous. It's absolutely ridiculous. It is ridiculous. And this is,

they harassed him multiple times. This time, I believe it's over milk sales, before it was over beef. He's not the only Amish person. There are other ones who are being prosecuted. There's a guy, I think it's Samuel Fisher in Virginia,

who's being prosecuted. And so I came up with this amendment, and let me read it. It's pretty short. The right of the people to grow food and to purchase food from the source of their choice, shall not be infringed, and Congress shall make no law regulating the production and distribution

of food products, which do not move across state lines. It's a very tight and compact amendment, but it covers a lot of things in there. First of all, I'm trying to basically get the fed out of the meat processing that's local, that's just intrastate. That's what the second clause about Congress shall make no law regulating the production and distribution of food products. And, you know, it's a shame I have to do that. But anyways, we have this big meat oligopoly that's enabled and enhanced by the USDA, the overregulation. They just regulate all the little guys out of it.

But the first clause here, the right of people to grow food, you know, you have a right to political speech, for instance. Whatever, you know, your city or you can do an ordinance and whatever, but they can't keep you from putting a sign up in your yard saying who you're going to vote for. I think you should be able to grow tomatoes without getting thrown out of your house, for instance. And then one other thing that this amendment covers, your ability to purchase food from the source of your choice. Now, this is the people who bought food from Amos Miller in Pennsylvania, they did cross state lines. But that food did cross state lines, I'm told. But the people who bought it knew what they were

buying and you should never be deprived of the ability to have a contract between two consenting adults to purchase food. No, no, I disagree with you. To purchase food, you can have just a contract with one human adult to another human adult. That's ridiculous. We need to start mutilating our children without parental consent. What is wrong with you, Thomas Massey? We should be focusing on the mutilation of our children and mutilate them some more without any adult supervision at all. Just the government telling us what to do. I'm sorry. I forgot the key.

I'm sorry, I forgot. The key to good health is always multiple vaccines and mind-controlling drugs. Yeah, I'm sorry. Go ahead. I've got off the narrative here. I know. I have to tell you that when I saw that you said, that you know you can't do it over state lines i thought to myself and maybe mike talked to you

about this i mean you're you're smart enough to know this is what the commerce clause this is what through the commerce clause under the bus that you know they regulate all commerce but it was supposed to be between states but it happened because of wheat and they said well you know that wheat it it you know it's pollen kind of goes in the air and goes across state line so we have to regulate that now so how are you thinking you're going to get this across Well, and this is actually to countermand that horrible Supreme Court decision where they said a guy couldn't grow his own wheat and feed it to his own animals because if he grew his own wheat, he wasn't buying wheat in interstate commerce. And so that he was affecting interstate commerce by introducing more wheat into the overall supply, even though none of it crossed state lied. Oh, that's what it was. You're right.

Yeah. And this is to countermand that horrible. decision that the Supreme Court made. And that's why I said, you know, food products which do not move across state lines instead of saying interstate commerce. We have to physically say, if it's not going across state lines, then it's not state commerce. And that Supreme Court decision, if people want to look it up, was Wickard v. Filburn. Yes, Wickard v. Filburn. That is such, It's been years since I've read it. That court case changed everything. And, you know, I don't know if we can get Congress to pass anything anymore.

But thank you for the common sense on this and the bill. You're not voting for the bill, right? Oh, heck no. By the way, I think it was Mike Lee suggested I could name my constitutional amendment, Roscoe Philburn's revenge. All right, Thomas, thank you so much. God bless you. Thank you, Glenn. He's like, yeah, I know. I'm totally disappointed. No, I mean, what are you going to do? You know, got to pass it. So, otherwise the world melts down. So, you know, the good news is we're moving forward on appointing really smart justices, you know, the kind that can't define what a woman is because they're not a scientist. Well, the Seventh Circuit Judge nominee that Joe Biden has put up is against assault weapons and is, you know, signed documents, you know, urging against assault weapons. Here she is now with Senator John Kennedy being asked, can you define that, please? He said, quote, assault weapons may be banned because they're extraordinarily dangers and are not appropriate for legitimate self-defense purposes, close quote. Tell me what you meant by assault weapons.

Thank you, Senator Kennedy. Just to clarify, just to clarify there, I was local counsel. But you wrote the brief. Tell me what you meant by assault weapons. Senator Kennedy, actually, I did not write the brief. The brief was written by... You signed the brief, though, did it? Correct.

I signed the brief. sign a brief you're testifying to the court that everything in it is is true right yes that and i i book so they're your words in terms of the court right well i you're you're correct senator kennedy i would never sign what you meant by assault weapons so i i am not a gun expert and at the time that brief i think was about 10 years giving the court advice about say ban assault weapons what is i just you told the court you were you were an expert just tell me what you wanted to ban senator sitting here today um as i said i did not write that brief i was local council sign the brief i understand at the time what you wanted to ban that's all i'm what

i'm what i'm going to know i i don't remember the exact definition of assault weapons in the ordinance that was at issue so you submitted a brief to the to an appellate brief you signed it and you don't know what and you said abolish assault weapons and you don't know what you wanted them to abolish? Senator, at the time that I signed the brief, I read the brief because our Supreme Court required someone, an Illinois bar member, to sign the brief. I was not responsible for researching the content. You were responsible for the brief.

Absolutely, absolutely. And sitting here today, I do not remember the characteristics of of that were that were cited in the ordinance for the assault weapons ban. It's not an area of practice that I have specialized in. I'm sure 10 years ago, I would, I could have answered your question. It's sitting here today. Nothing and former investment banker. Hello, Carol. Glenn, great to see it. It's been so long. Did you miss me? I know. I missed you. I missed you. You know, since we last spoke, the border, the National Guard was overrun by, you know, women and children or 18 to 24 year old men at our southern border. The National Guard they just broke through. Also, we have a new spending bill that is giving all kinds of money for like children without underpants. As long as those underpants have to bind your breast or, you know, your weiner, then the government's going to take you care of you. That has been 24 hours. It's insane what's going on. It is. You know, one of my favorite comedies of all time is airplane. And there's that

line, looks like I picked the wrong week to quick sniffing glue. And I feel like every single week that I write, looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue. On top of those things that you mentioned. We also had President Biden saying that he wants to give you a $10,000 home credit to get out of your home and your low interest mortgage, the worst financial advice of all time. And BlackRock is sending, you know, mean letters to Texas. So it's been a it's been a wild. Jeez. Okay. So you brought something to my attention, Jeremy Grantham. And I don't know much about him other than he's a hedge fund guy, right? So tell me about him. So if you're not within the financial circles, you may not have heard of him, but he's quite legendary within financial circles. He is a hedge fund manager of a firm called GMO, not the GMOs you're thinking of.

It stands for Grantham and Mayo and somebody else. And he has been sort of lauded for calling all the bubbles. So he's the one who called the tech bubble, and he's called the housing bubble. Now, to be fair, there's always a bubble. So he's always calling something and he just kind of sits back and waits and gets that. But he's been very successful. And so he himself is a billionaire, which, you know, it's great. It's fine.

If we had normal billionaires, Glenn, I remember a time when billionaires just went off and they bought super yachts and race horses and hoarded arts and just basically left us alone. But the billionaires don't want to do that anymore. They think they are very smart. They've got, you know, did really well. one domain and now they have to fix the planet. And that's why I brought this to your attention because Jeremy Grantham many years ago started getting into what I would consider climate cultism and decided he was going to, over time, give away most of his billion dollar fortune to fund

climate initiatives. But he has been coming out lately with these, you know, on podcasts, with pieces is actually on their hedge fund website that he thinks that there is going to be utter destruction in the next, you know, we have 100 to 150 years to act, he says. But there is a glimmer of hope. And he says on this piece, the glimmer of hope is a declining population. He believes if we can get the population down to, now let's just remind everybody where we are, we've got about 8 billion people on this planet and the projections are over, you know, the next however many years it's going to grow to 10 billion.

He thinks that we really need to get down to 2 billion people on this planet. So a quarter of what we are today. I'm not sure. I don't know. I've got a cookie monster, but I think it's about a quarter of who we are today. Okay. Hmm. Cookies.

All right. So, and what does he think? is going to cause this? So basically, and again, this is kind of taking his financial modeling about things coming back to averages and going through all of these kind of permutations. And so he said, look, there is a finite number of resources. We cannot have exponential population growth. We have 100 to 150 years to solve the problem.

But if we could just, you know, get the population down, oh, by the way, you know, green energy isn't just going to do this. Population isn't going to do this. We have to have a Goldilocks scenario. So you also have to have what is called degrowth. It's degrowth movement where basically not only does the population go down, but you cut back on your consumption and we go back to living, I guess like we did in the Stone Ages or something like that.

And if we want to preserve life on Earth, this is really the only way that this is going to happen by this moving in this direction. And by the way, leadership alone isn't going to do this. We really need to be forceful and let people know you can't have a good time. You can't have babies. We just have to let the world go down and be about a quarter of what it is today and the next 100, 150, 200 years. You pick it. Let's talk about degrowth here for a second because that's absolutely what is happening.

That's what the experts are doing to us right now. And are you familiar with, I think it's the Thucydides paradox. The Thucydides was looking at, you know, ancient wars and ancient civilizations, and he himself was ancient. And he said, you know, when one power is rising and an old power is falling, that is the time when there's going to be conflict, okay? because one is just going to say, take them, and the other one's still trying to defend themselves. And so it's a mass slaughter. And to stop that, the theory is what you need to do when there's a rising power, let's say, I don't know, pick one China. And a falling power, which just pick one out of, let's say America, you dismantle America from the inside.

Make sure that its war machine could no longer fight wars. Make sure that its economy is crushed from the inside. So you crush everything. And the rising power helps you crush them to avoid war. And I think that's exactly what's happening to us right now. I'm just crushing us. It certainly is consistent with the cycles, which I talk about and you owe nothing, Ray Dahlia talks about in principles, you know, these changing of the guards.

You can't be at the center of power for too long. And it does happen from the inside out. And like you said, it happens with wars. It happens with a fighting population. It happens with too much debt. All of these things that are rhyming with what is going on today. And when you have the people who have benefited the most from the system, who have seen the fact that we are living in the greatest time in history, that by using the resources and the way that we have in a clever way

and being human beings and being innovative, that we have expanded people's lifespans, what's been going on on Earth has created more prosperity and bigger lifespans, not the opposite. So all of a sudden, say, I'm sorry, but this isn't sustainable. You guys don't know what you're doing, but I know what I'm doing. And I think that we need to just, you know, have the population fall off a cliff is just, it's amazing to me. It's Malthusian. It is Malthusian.

It's Malthusian. Yep. The whole movement is Malthusian. Listen, you know and I know, the people who are pushing for AI and making way and trying to prepare our society to take, you know, money from the government so we could have everybody on, you know, some basic minimum income. because all the jobs are going away because of AI. If you know that much about AI,

you know that we don't even have the power grid for AI alone, let alone all the electric cars. They know that. They are pushing us into massive poverty. Yeah, it's so funny that you said that. I've been thinking how technology really stands at odds with this whole movement. I mean, if you're talking about depopulation, you have all of these tech bros who are trying to extend their lives indefinitely and doing, you know, blood swaps and all of these weird things.

Right. You have AI, which is, as you said, is going to just consume exponential amounts of power and which is why some of the big guys have started investing, by the way, in nuclear power data centers. They're going back to what many of us have been talking about forever, that that is the future if you want clean energy. So the idea that you can have the same kinds of people saying, oh, you know, we have this crisis. And oh, by the way, we're doing these things that is going to exponentially increase the amount of energy that's being used, not just here in the U.S., but around the globe, to a place that we've never seen before, says one of these sides doesn't make sense.

And this is an equation that needs to balance here. One more thing. I got to go back to what President Biden said because I didn't pay attention to this story when it came out. and if I understand it right, I don't even, I don't even begin to understand what you could possibly believe it could do that would be good. He yesterday proposed a $10,000 tax credit. So you get $10,000 in a tax credit. Most people don't, you know, don't have $10,000 they're paying in taxes if you're in the low end.

Right. If you sell your home and then trade your 3.5% mortgage for a 7.5% mortgage. Why the hell would you do that? All right, let me give you the exact tweet. For homeowners looking for a new place but worried about giving up their low mortgage rate, I'm proposing a $10,000 tax credit if they sell their starter home. This means more folks can get into houses that suit their needs, unlocking affordable homes for the first time buyers.

Okay, you know how they say, you know, not financial advice. Don't take financial advice from this president because this is the most insane thing I've ever heard. If he were a chartered financial analyst, he would have all of his credentials stripped away. So as you said, let's just say it was $10,000 that they gave you back, not just a tax credit where you only get, you know, a fraction, whatever you're paying in taxes and that dollars for like, but let's just, let's be generous here, Glenn. Let's just say it was $10,000.

And let's pretend that there are no such things as like closing costs on mortgages that would eat up all of that. The idea that somebody, even if you had a $250,000 left on your mortgage and you're trading, you have three and a half percent for seven and a half percent, that means that's eaten up in just a little over a year. So how is that helping you out? That's basically, and by the way, that's assuming that you could find a house that was at the same level that you were. currently used to, which is absolutely insane. So this is a complete nothing. It's not like it's it's a refi either where you've got 25% interest rates on your credit cards and the balance, if you if you're maxed out and the balance of taking that down, then you could make an argument of like, okay, well, maybe in the short term that's right because you can get the pressure off.

This does nothing for pressure. This does not. This adds. pressure. This is the opposite. Either you're getting a less nice house than you already have, or you're getting something exactly the same, and then you're trading a huge interest rate, and we're going to pay for maybe a year of that. Maybe if you're lucky. I mean, the fact that you would come out to try to buy votes and try to trick people who probably went, oh, you know, that's a great thing if they had, you know, didn't have any financial literacy. But this makes absolutely no sense. is tweeting this? Who is the one who's putting this and saying, this is a good policy for the president of the United States to say, you can get out of your house, leave your house behind,

if you can find another one so that you can just be eaten alive by interest. Carol, Carol, you know who tweeted it because you wrote the book. You will own nothing. The people who tweeted that know exactly what they're doing. They're impoverishing the American people intentionally. Yes. It's so horrible. So it's just hard to get your mind wrapped around. It is. This is a horse galloping down I-76 in Philadelphia. Beautiful racehorse. No idea how it found an on-ramp, but it did. And that's kind of what the world we live in. Gee, haven't seen this one before. Now, what I'm going to show you here is something we haven't seen before, but it's not just a horse on the highway. It's a horse on the highway with a chimpanzee holding Braveheart's sword on top of the horse on the highway.

This is something you've never heard before. You remember the CCP, the Chinese Communist Party linked company named Goshen. We talked about it, I don't know, a while back. They, um, the town council had made some agreement with this Communist Party company, Goshen to come in and build this huge factory in their town. Well, the board didn't actually talk to the people about it. What they had was a developmental agreement, a development agreement, and it was supposed to be ratified. But by the time that it came out to the public, and the public heard about it, they kicked and got all of the members off of that board evicted. They were all recalled.

but now that's the horse on the highway here is the monkey with a broadsword on top so the communist party of china is now suing this american township for breach of contract so we have the communists suing their way in to a town in america well okay so what else is new bruce baker is here he is from Micosta Environmental and Security Alliance he's the president of that and he has all the details on this wow Bruce I've never heard anything like this

you're right Glenn and thanks first of all thanks for having me on the show it's an honor to be talking with you and I appreciate this opportunity to bring this forward thank you you're right yes you're right though

there was a development agreement that was, in my view, improperly executed between Goshen and the prior, the old township board, in particular, not even really with the board, just with the supervisor, and then attested by the clerk. And so what happened was the township supervisor was working on this development. agreement with Goshen and he brought what was called a first draft of the development agreement to an August 1st meeting of the board. They discussed the first graph and then, but it wasn't complete. First draft like a rough draft, not complete. So the board approved for the supervisor to continue working with Goshen, the CCP tied EV and whatever lithium battery company.

to continue working with Goshen to finalize that development agreement. And it wasn't just some small minor finalizing. It was the terms and conditions is what they approve for him to finalize that. Right. Okay. And then obviously, you know, Glenn, you would need, okay, you have a rough or first draft. They say supervisor, go finalize it with the company, Goshen. and then, of course, bring that back in a final version so that the board and the public can review it and so that they can then vote,

the board in a public meeting can vote on it. That never happened. Well, I mean, even the communist state of Michigan has an Open Meetings Act, don't they? I mean, where you have to have everything done in public. Yes, okay. The open, in the Michigan statute, Open Meetings Act requires, this is a public. body. The township board is a public body. They're required to have all decisions, discussions, and votes made in a public forum, in a public meeting, you know, with proper

notification, all that. So what happened, Glenn, is just three weeks after the board told Jim Chapman the then supervisor. And by the way, he was under a recall process at that time. He was up, he was up a couple of months for a recall. So he was, he was trying to jam this thing through. And they had lots of pressure on him to jam this thing through. Why? Because Goshen wouldn't get $125 million of Michigan CIP grant money if they didn't have a place. So they knew they had to jam through before they got pulled before they, you know, potentially were going to get, you know, thrown out of office, which is exactly what happened. All five of the eligible board members did get recalled and thrown out of office and replaced. But anyway,

So three weeks, so they reviewed the first draft of the agreement on August 1st. And then on August 22nd, Jim Chapman signed a final agreement. And who was the other signer on there? Chen Lee, the president of Goshen. Okay, I believe he's a CCP member himself, but, or Lee Chen, Chen Lee. Anyways, he signed it. Jim Chapman signed it. The clerk attested to Jim's.

signatures. So there's three signatures on the document. But this was on August 22nd. There was no meeting between, no meeting of the board between August 1st and August 22nd. And so, um, so that final document never came back to the board for discussion, for review, for public comment. I mean, that's the most important thing. This is a board that's supposed to be working for the people, but instead they do this behind the scenes, backdoor deal. Um, to get this thing signed. Why? Because there's a lot of money writing on it, right?

And they just want it done. You know, Jim Chapman and the old board, and they were kind of characterized by not listening to the public. They repeatedly, the public asked, just do a survey. Get the public's opinion about this Goship. They refused to. Every surrounding township did surveys regarding this Goshen plant, but Green Charter Township under the old board,

refused to even do a survey, all of the surveys, they came back 60, 70, 80%, that they didn't want the Goshen facility here. And even an outside company came in and did a survey in Green Township, and that came back like 80, 90 percent. People didn't want that ocean there. It's not like a small little band of people who are saying, you know, we don't want this. It's the vast majority, but the old board, they had kind of gotten brainwashed or gaslighted or whatever. Well, no, they're just doing it the way, they're just doing it the way China does it, which is, you know, one man. He signs everything. He makes all the decisions.

That's, I mean, that's the way you do it in China. Why not here? So what's going to happen? They've taken you to court. What's going to happen here? Did Goshen get the money from the state? Okay, so that's a great question. They got $23.4, $23.6 million. So not all of the $125 million. Okay, so the development agreement was put in place, but I allege that it was improperly put in place. Okay, it was signed,

but we believe that's a void invalid document. And so they did get, go and received over $23 million to purchase land. Now, the state of Michigan, if that development agreement is invalid, the state, the Michigan holds a mortgage on that land. And they could theoretically claw that that land back, you know. But anyways, they didn't get the other $100 million yet because they have to hit certain milestones. But one of those, all of those, they tell they hit those milestones, they have to have a development agreement in place. Otherwise, they're not even eligible. So this federal, so the new board, there's a new board, as the old board did, because they ran on a no go-go-shin position. And so the new board has said, we're not going to support you.

And so now, but the development agreement says, you have to support us. That's what goes ensuing over in federal court right now. They're saying the new board, you're not supporting us like the development agreement requires you to. See, the hand tie the new board. Fortunately, they really screwed up and they improperly executed that development agreement. So in my view, that and many others, a lot of attorneys, a lot of people who know township and open meeting act law have reviewed this. And we believe that that development agreement is invalid.

And really, Goshen, they're bringing it to federal court. That's the first thing that they're asking the judge to rule on. Is this development agreement valid or not valid? You have to pray that the judge does the right thing. The judge stands for, that who were, you know, the people are the ones whose rights were trampled, you know, and this by not following the open meetings act. so that the judge would stand with the people and say that no, that development agreement is no good. You've got to go back to the starting board.

Well, I think we're saying the same thing here, Bruce, but I want to make sure. I don't want somebody that is a judge is standing with the people. I want him to stand with the law. And if this is the way it is, then that's the way it is. I can't imagine being Goshen wanting to build my plant in a city where it's entirely hostile to me. me. Absolutely. You know, and that's again a great point, you know, Glenn. So Chuck Salin, so he's, I believe, the VP of Northern American Operations for Goshen. So he's the highest Goshen guy here. He said, at a meeting, he said, well, look if the, this was earlier on,

well, if the people of the area don't want it, in other words, the plan, if they don't want Goshen to build here, we'll just go somewhere else. Well, it couldn't be more, clear that the people of the community do not want this. I mean, five surrounding townships all came back with surveys that said they don't. We recalled the entire eligible, you know, the entire board, you know,

I don't think I've ever seen that happen. Right, right. And then, and other surveys have done. It's like we've got, you know, the summer we had hundreds of signs around no Goshen. And so it's like,

it's really clear that the community, majority, there's a handful, there's some people who, um, are for, because they think that they'll sell land that, you know, way more than it's worse, or they'll, it'll prop up their business.

You know, I get that, you know, that's fine. But most people just don't want it because of the environmental potential, you know, problems as well as the CCP ties. So anyway, I'm surprised that Chuck Sailing wasn't more of a man of his word on that. He says, look, if the people don't want it here, we'll go somewhere else. Yeah. Well, clearly the people don't want it, and they're just digging in their heels and they're just trying to shove it in. All right.

If you want to help be involved, when does this go to court? That's not known yet. I mean, there's, yeah, not known yet. Not known yet, but there's going to be a lot of steps. We're working right now on declarations, you know, where individuals are signing declarations. Yeah, and there's a lot of work I had to do. We're going to be filing an advance letter. And I know when you got up today, you were like, you know what? I'm kind of jonesing for some astrophysics talk. And I'm like, right? I'm here for you. Hugh Ross is on my podcast. That's what a cosmologist does. They look, back into history and they look for the beginnings of creation. They look for life. This is a guy who never grew up around the Bible and said when he finally heard the Bible and was studying, you know, his astrophysicist books, you know, like, like, you know, I know what those are. And he said, The only thing that explains how creation works is the Bible. And he said, the Bible actually explains the Big Bang.

And the Big Bang, they tried to use that they, the scientists said, no, it can't be the Big Bang because there has to be creator. There has to be a creator behind the Big Bang. That means there's the first cause. Now the Big Bang is used to discredit religion. it was actually people came up with it who had some religious kind of knowledge and science and went this is the way

it's got to be. The Big Bang. Now, the one thing we didn't talk, that's all in the podcast tomorrow. He takes you through Genesis and it's unbelievable. But, sorry, something like Trump, it's unbelievable. It's the greatest reading of Genesis

you've ever heard. There's this Mo guy and he comes out and he's talking about tablets. Beautiful tablets, marble tablets. But he talks about that. One thing we didn't get a chance to talk about was global warming. So Hugh is going to joke. You see, you thought, I don't need an astrophysicist today.

And we were in the hallway afterwards, and you showed me a book that you have on climate change. And I thought, oh, I wish I would have asked you. Come on the show. So today's the day. Let's talk about climate change and global warming. Yeah. Well, there is a lot of skepticism about global warming. I think that skepticism has gone based on some studies that were published a year. ago where they basically looked at temperature records, not on the continents, but a couple

of hundred miles offshore all around the world. That way you take out the elevation effect. And you're right at sea level. It basically shows that the climate has been exceptionally stable from 900 AD to about 1950 AD. to within plus or minus 0.06 degrees centigrade. It's never happened before in human history. It's unique to our time, and that's how we were able to launch technology and civilization at such a rapid rate during that time.

And what it shows is that the natural cycles are cooing the planet. They've been cooing the planet since about 9,500 years ago. That's been balanced by human activity, warmly. the planet. And for 9,500 years, they were an almost perfect balance. The climate very slowly cooled, but only by one degree over 9,500 years. What's happened since 1950 is human activity has accelerated, and so it's now superseding the natural cooling cycles, and has gone up by one degree centigrade in the past 70 years. And the concern is that it goes up another, degree or two, that could melt the winter polar ice cap. And if that happens, then we bring

on the next ice age. Right. So this, Stu, see, I told you global cooling and global warming was real. Now, Hugh, how does this play into humans and what we should be doing? Do you buy into all of the, us out in space? No, I don't. I don't. That's why I wrote the book, Weathering Climate Change, is to make the point, we can restabilize a climate while we boost the world economy. We don't need politicians to get involved, because if you give people strong enough economic

incentive, they'll do it right away. And so I load the book up of all these ways that we can substantially boost the world economy while we stabilize the climate, and at the same time enhance the world's ecosystems so that everybody wins. There really are win-win solutions out there. So give me some simple ones that we could do. Well, a really simple one, and it's already been implemented in the Western nations, is to stop burning coal and burn natural gas instead. When you do that, you release only about half the greenhouse.

gases that you do with coal. There's no particular matter of pollution. So you solve a major health crisis. But I just wrote an article saying that in parts of India, the life expectancy is shortened by eight years. That's for 460 million people. Their life expectancy is shortened by eight years because of burning coal instead of natural gas. Well, okay, but wait, hang on just a second. Hugh, I was just, Hang on just a second. I was with a scientific, you know, eco guy just the other day. And he said, no, Glenn, natural gas is just as bad. That's why the government is trying to stop all natural gas as well. And I'm like, dude, for years you told us it was the cleanest. Now you're telling us it's deadly as well. Well, it does release greenhouse gases. I don't look at natural gas as a permanent solution, but I think it would buy us the time we need to come up with what I think is a great solution,

thorium nuclear reactors. Thorium nuclear reactors are not like uranium nuclear reactors. The radioactive waste is safe to handle after 100 to 200 years instead of 50,000 years. it's impossible to have a meltdown. You can't use it to make nuclear weapons, and it delivers 300 times the energy that you get from uranium, and thorium is three times more abundant. It actually has a potential to deliver electricity for us for much less than what we get from water power,

which is currently the cheapest source of energy we have on the planet. But it's going to take at least a decade to scale it up to where it could supply all over energy. Natural gas will buy us that time, and the meantime, it cuts greenhouse gas emissions by about a half. It's the fastest way we can lower greenhouse gas emissions. I mean, the problem with solar and wind, it's going to take time to scale it up,

and solar and wind also have ecological consequences that you don't get with thorium. And so I noticed... So, I mean, hang on just a second. You say it's going to take 10 years to ramp this up. I've never heard of thorium. I've never heard of a thorium nuclear reactor. I think it might take a little longer because nobody is talking about that, Hugh.

Well, they are now because, I mean, for example, India is facing a major health crisis. As I said, the life expectancy has now 12 years less if you live in Delhi. eight years less if you live in the Ganges Valley. But a country as a whole, it's five years less. And then by the way, coal is more expensive than natural gas. And India actually sits on a lot of thorium. And incidentally, we had thorium nuclear reactors in the 1960s. The reason why we didn't scale them up back then, you can't use them to make nuclear weapons.

But now that's considered an advantage. We could actually give nuclear reactors to rogue countries and not worry that they're going to use it to make nuclear weapons. I have a woman on next week's podcast. She's amazing. She's this entrepreneur. She's a black woman from Africa. And I'm trying to remember what country in Africa. And she moved to the West when she was young.

And the first thing she thought was, why did they have? have all of these things that we don't have in Africa. And one of the things is because you don't have energy, you know, you're still, you're still burning wood, uh, to cook your food. And, um, she thinks it's, she thinks it's, uh, a little racist of people to tell the, the continent of Africa, you can't have power because of global warming. So you're going to be stuck there. And we talked about nuclear power. Nuclear power, hydrogen, those are the, those are the, those of the things of the future, I think, natural gas even, but now that's on the no-no list. But I don't think, Hugh, that there's a lot of people that are in a part of this movement

that are not political now. And it's all about pushing ideas that are very, very expensive, will cripple everything, and wouldn't work. Well, you know, if you try to get people to sacrifice, or standard of living, they're going to find a way to cheat. And if they don't, somebody else will. So that's why I'm convinced we have to give people a strong economic incentive. You mentioned Africa. The Sahara Desert has been expanding because people have been stripping wood off the edge for fuel. How about giving the Africans all the kerosene they want for free on the promise that they'll work with us to shrink the Sahara Desert. At the time of the Roman Empire, the Sahara Desert

was one-tenth the size that it is today. If we were to shrink it, number one, it would provide an economic income because they could grow grain in what is now the Sahara Desert. It would soak up greenhouse gases, so it helped stabilize the climate. And again, everybody wins. The ecosystem would recover. They have an income they don't have now. And we pull greenhouses. house gases under the atmosphere. So we could do the same thing here in North America. Yeah, go ahead. I just, and I only got about a minute left, but I grew up hearing that we breathe out

CO2 and the trees breathe it in and they breathe out oxygen and we breathe in oxygen and it was kind of the circle of life thing. How come we're not really standing on that anymore? When did it become such a problem that it, you know, was killing everything? Well, I'm advocating that we let lumber companies go into our national parks and selectively harvest the big old trees because they don't pull many greenhouse gases of the atmosphere. They're in danger of dying and decaying and releasing greenhouse gases. Replant them with young trees.

They'll pull greenhouse gases at a factor two to four times more. the ecosystem will recover because that's healthier for that. And we won't be seeing a lot of dead trees in the National Forest. You won't have forest fires. Right. But they are now closing all of that off. I mean, there are common sense solutions to everything, and we don't seem to hear about them very often.

Have you heard about this? I have only vaguely, isn't it, it's Guy Ritchie, right? Wasn't it based on a movie he did? That I don't know. Okay.

I think there was a, I think there was a guy Ritchie movie called The Gentleman, is this correct? No, no one knows. Okay, but I thought that was a thing.

No, I think there was. I think there was, and it was a guy, Guy Ritchie, and did it have somebody like Liam Neeson in it or somebody. It was a 2019 film?

Yeah, but it's not that. It's not the same. Matthew McConaughey. I think it's based. I think it's in that universe, I believe, is the only thing I've heard really about it. But I don't know much of the story. What is it about? Yeah.

So it's about a guy who is, you know, a blue helmet, you know, UN soldier. He's off some Godforsaken place, you know, trying to bring peace and, you know, deny that all of the other troops are raping children. and then his father dies and he's very wealthy and he becomes the Duke. So he goes back and he becomes the Duke and he finds out that under the land that the family is owned for 500 years is the largest marijuana growing plant in England. And so he didn't know it. And so he's in bed with the mob and with the, with the with the pot plants underneath and uh it's it's just very very it's very funny uh very quirky

uh i really liked it you haven't seen it sarah have you seen it only the first episode only the first episode and that sounds like a raving review from you i just like the main actor he's he's definitely a gentle on the eyes i think i threw up a little bit in my mouth uh just a little bit Yeah, but do you like the quirkiness of it? And it's so different than anything else. It's so very different. I really enjoy Guy Ritchie in general, but I'm excited to see the rest, even though you totally ruined the whole story for me.

That's revealed in the first episode. You still ruined it. Glennel. Well, cannot talk about a film or a show without ruining it for everybody. How do you, when somebody says what's it about? What am I going to say? It's about a UN soldier stopping traffic and then something happens. See?

That's the opening scene. I will say anything with Guy Ritchie, it can't be ruined for me because I can never understand anyone speaking in anything that he does. Because he's got these like people with really thick British accents to the extent that I can't understand what they say. Like Cockney accent? Yes. Like super far beyond. I believe you could understand someone who speaks like this. Right, but it goes...

You just have a problem with the... Yeah, like when they go... It's like the... You know, it's obviously authentic to the story that they would be made, you know, have... They wouldn't be speaking the Queens English. But it gets to the point where I can't even... Like, I'd rather watch a movie in like Indian

with subtitles because then I would have better chance of actually understanding what was going on. But they don't subtitle English for some reason. There's talking in this? They talk? They talk? Jeez. my gosh. You're a pig. Yeah. I refuse to be, I refuse to have you sexualize all men.

Um, anyway, we're more than just meat, Sarah. Oh, don't worry. You're not included in this. Yeah, all men is not a problem. I was going to say, yeah, this is meat and a lot of marbalization in this case. Um, uh, yeah, I, I, I watch everything with subtitles now because I'm deaf. Ah, could it be because you've had headphones in your ears for 50? 50 years. Yes. And now you can't hear it. For 50 years, cranked it, you know, 10. And so I can't hear again.

So I, you know, I don't want to be that guy. And I already am that guy where my wife walks in and goes, can we turn this down a bit? I think we need to get Glenn the headphones that you wear while you're sitting on the couch that like broadcast the TV just to you. And like, like, when you're like 85, you get them. Ernie those are the facts I don't think prime time cares what race you run in Ernie The fact that I'm black has nothing to do with the fact that I'm a C word. Wait, he did not say black people were C words, Ernie. He was being specific to you. One has nothing to do with the other. I mean, that does sound pretty freaking good. It's really good. It is really, really, really good.

By the way, I think that word, because I work with somebody from Scotland who uses that word a lot. And I'm so offended by that word. But he used it. He told me, he said, had no idea until I was I was really close to my my girlfriend now his wife he said and you know we'd have these long distance calls and he said I called her the C word and she just burst into tears and he's like what what the hell just happened and he had no idea no idea that that that's how we we look at it differently here that's what you just say you know that's what you just call

Like you, you, if we were in Great Britain, you would be Captain Seward. Right. In my world. By the way, thank you for that. But like, what does it mean? Like a jerk basically? Like, uh, what's the definition of it when you're using it in the Scottish sense? Yeah, like no English too.

So this is the Jews, this is the Jewish people who really actually still believe, you know, their religion and practice their religion, sacrificing the red heifer to bring the messianic age here. So that's good. That's great.
