Starting point is 00:00:00 Great show today. First, let me tell you our sponsor this half hour. Our spotlight is home title lock. I love home title lock. This is something that we all really, really believe in because there is only one company that actually stands at the gate, if you will, of this new digital world where when your title has to be changed, your house is sold, your title comes in digitally and goes to one central vault that keeps all of the titles. So when it comes in and out of that vault, if you have home title lock, they're watching it and going, wait a minute, wait a minute, the Bex wanted to know. Did you just sell your house for 50 cents? Yeah. Because that's a hard choice. Yeah, because then they call, are you selling your house? No.
Starting point is 00:00:44 Okay, somebody's committing title fraud on you. This is the fastest growing crime according to the FBI, really bad. Get a free check on whether or not yours this has already happened to you. Go to home tidalock.com. Hometidaloc.com. Do it now. The fusion of entertainment and enlightenment. This is the Glembeck program.
Starting point is 00:01:09 Oh, hello America. Oh, we've got a couple of things for you. First of all, it wasn't misdirection on the new Green Deal. No, no, no. It wasn't misdirection. It wasn't stupidity. It was actually a plan. We have a new spin and look at this.
Starting point is 00:01:28 We're going to share with you today. Also, we wanted to start with Bernie Sanders because he's such a relatable guy. He's one of the people. He's one of the people. And you know what? He doesn't have anything in his past like dressing up like a Klansman. Wait a minute. New news.
Starting point is 00:01:45 Hang on. No, he's got something worse. We start there in one minute. This is the Glenn Beck program. Hey, you want to sell your house? The best way to do it is real estate agents. I trust.com. If you want to sell your home quickly and for top dollar,
Starting point is 00:02:05 let me introduce you to Bonnie and Michael. They're from Ohio. So, Glenn, we had our house up for sale a year ago with a whole different agency. Absolutely nothing happened. They never called. They never kept us posted. Nothing. It was very frustrating.
Starting point is 00:02:21 So we did what you said. We registered real estate agents I trust. And we were surprised and delighted. Well, that makes me sad that you were surprised that we came through with what we said. But, okay. We received an email for. your agent, Stacey immediately. She and her team were the most upfront,
Starting point is 00:02:39 an honest real estate agents we have ever talked with. Stacey went to work, our home sold in two weeks and closed in a month. Please, Glenn, thank you for offering this service. Thanks Stacey for her outstanding efforts. We can't thank you guys enough. This is exactly why we built real estate agents. I trust.com.
Starting point is 00:02:59 For that reason, you are welcome. Thank you for writing to me and telling us. This is why we put it together. Real estate agents, I trust.com. Real estate agents. itrust.com.
Starting point is 00:03:21 Boy, does Bernie Sanders, he knows people, don't you think? I mean, he is one with the people. He's almost a mind reader. I feel like. Right? You read this article. If he were to open up a shop
Starting point is 00:03:34 where he read palms, maybe tarot cards. Yeah, he would be a multi. He might be a little, afford multiple like vacation homes. He's like he'd be that rich. No, he already has that. Multiple more vacation.
Starting point is 00:03:49 Okay, okay, okay, okay. All right. So Bernie Sanders. Now remember, this is at a time where if you did anything in the past, if you dressed up with blackface in 1980, you're in trouble. Right. Even if you did it and not,
Starting point is 00:04:06 you did it as to in your mind in 1980, compliment Michael Jackson as a Halloween costume. You're in trouble. You're in trouble. Big trouble. You're thrown out of office. Right. Well, no, you're a Democrat, so you're not thrown out of office. But you're targeted for being thrown out of office. If you cause any trouble. Republicans will seize on it. That will happen.
Starting point is 00:04:25 That's what will have. They'll seize on it. On the blackface. Right. Now, eight years prior to that, not a problem. So the line is 1980? Well, in Bernie Sanders case. Okay. And it's not blackface. And maybe that's the catch. He didn't do blackface. He instead wrote this in an editorial. A man goes home and I'm
Starting point is 00:04:47 going to clean this up because it's, I can't read it on here. Yeah, this is one if you, if you're bringing your kids to school or picking them up or doing, you might want to turn this one off. A man comes, this is beautiful. This is so relatable. It is poetry. A man goes home and pleasures himself, his typical fantasy, a woman on her knees, a woman, tied up, a woman abused. Who are this guy's friends? Who does you know? Maybe I'm out of step with the typical fantasies, but that's not my typical fantasy.
Starting point is 00:05:24 And that's a two-parter. You are, I'm sure, out of step with the typical fantasies. Let me talk you about my fantasy. Okay, here's my fantasy. And I don't, I mean, I know this is like watching grandma and grandpa have sex, but let me just tell you about my typical fantasy. I have this fantasy. And I think this is typical of most people where, you know, a guy comes home and he's, he's, when he gets home, he can really just let loose.
Starting point is 00:05:50 And he commits genocide on a race. Any race doesn't matter as long as it's not the white race. Okay. And, um, and he kills with women. And they can be of any color. Um, but he doesn't kill, he kills them. Did you see the hobbit? I call this my hobbit fantasy. Um, you take starting with women. You go up to Mount Doom and you go right to that, you know, that precipice where, you know, Frodo and the, and, you know, Ghalm were wrestling and Ghalm fell into it. I saw that. And I started to pleasure myself a few times just on Gullum. And then I thought, wouldn't it be better if it was a woman or someone of a different race, you know, because they fall into the lava and you can see them. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:06:35 You can see them melt. Oh, I got to stop talking about it. I'm just going to get too excited. But I think that's what we all think as men. I'm going to change my answer. You actually are in step with Bernie Sanders and his fantasies. That's crazy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:50 Who has a— He describes them in depth. Right. So that's a man's fantasy. A woman on her knees tied up, a woman abused. I don't think that's men's fantasies, abusing women. I don't know who thinks like that. There's a few.
Starting point is 00:07:08 They're mostly in Hollywood. saw them with a hashtag, Me Too, next to their names a bunch of times over the past couple of years. Okay, a woman, and now he goes on to explain women. Now he's probably right in line with women, typical women. Bernie Sanders. I mean, you want to talk ladies, man. You want to talk about a guy who just knows the fairer sex. Just look at him.
Starting point is 00:07:26 Oh, man, it's Bernie Sanders. So he says, a woman enjoys sexual relations with her man as she fantasized being raped by three men simultaneously. Yeah. Yeah. I know my wife is always, she's like, man, have we just had two more guys that were taking me forcefully? No, I don't think so. No, just to remind you, we're talking about the words, the actual words, written by a young man named Bernard Sanders. He was a young man of 85 at the time in 1972.
Starting point is 00:07:59 This is a guy who is running for president. He's probably the frontrunner right now in the Democratic Party. He is, by most polling, one of the most popular politicians in America. And he believes this, at least in 1972, he believed that this was the fantasy of men and women. I mean, this is a guy who, this is, this is why progressives believe there's a rape culture. Because people like this are saying, look, we know what all guys are like. No, Bernie, guys and women, they're not like this. And Bernie Sanders seems to be thinking there's a rape culture.
Starting point is 00:08:34 And if there were, women would be excited about it. Yes. This is their fantasy. Right. They're thrilled about the possibility of this happening to them. Can you imagine? I mean, who can understand the rape victim? Bernie Sanders?
Starting point is 00:08:50 Bernie, have you changed your mind about this? And what made you change your mind? Did that change your ways at all? Did that change your actions? What happened to you? This is so terrifying that he believes the typical fantasy is this. Even if he says, no, that's not my fantasy. he's projecting that fantasy on the average male.
Starting point is 00:09:13 To be fair, and I know no one would do this for us, and we should at least point this out, that this particular piece was written by Bernard Sanders. Oh, we are not entirely sure if Bernard Sanders and Bernie Sanders, I mean, maybe it's an alter ego, a really clever pen name, but Bernard Sanders wrote this in 1972. And so if you see Bernard Sanders' name on a, ballot, you may want to pause and think about this op-ed a little bit.
Starting point is 00:09:42 So he talks about, you know, women being tied up, women being abused, women being raped. That's everybody's fantasy. Then he says, you know, then they get dressed up. They go to church or to their revolutionary political meeting. Notice that he says, it's they're going to church or their revolutionary political meaning, meaning, to me at least, that's the church. for the left. Have you ever looked at the stag, man, hero, tough magazines on the shelf of your local
Starting point is 00:10:17 bookstore? No, Bernie, I've never even heard of those magazines. What bookstore is this guy going to? Can you look up, Merce, look up Stag magazine or man magazine, or is it Kiro? Hero, I think it is, right? Hero or Kiro, yeah, it must be hero. Tough magazine. Do you know why the newspapers with articles like Girl 12,
Starting point is 00:10:38 raped by 14 men sell so well? What the hell is this guy? I mean, this is, this is, this is, this is, this is, this is, like, this is the stuff that you would say, we went to his Facebook page and he had posted these things. How did we not know?
Starting point is 00:10:55 How come this wasn't alerted? How come nobody, nobody said what's wrong with this guy? Nobody alerted anybody that he said these were his fantasies. I mean, this is the story. stuff that would be blocked by the FBI now after you found that he was the killer of some sort of a sex cult. Yeah, this is the the paperwork unearthed in the Ted Bundy tapes documentary. Exactly right.
Starting point is 00:11:22 Did you know Ted Bundy ran... I mean, he wrote this. Can you believe it? Of course you can believe that he did all these things. I mean, and by the way, the next line says, to what in us are they appealing? In us, I mean, he seems to being in some odd way, including his. himself. Well, I don't know what Stagman, Hero, or Tough Magazine is. But we do know what Girl 12 raped by 14 men is. Yep. He just says, he says, again, this is a quote, do you know why newspapers
Starting point is 00:11:49 with the articles like Girl 12 raped by 14 men sell so well? To what in us are they appealing? What are they appealing to? Something he's finding appealing, apparently. Yeah, he's finding it, you know, I'll tell you what that appeals to, our sense of horror. That's what. That's an appealed anything. No, but it does it. Why would, why would we pick up that newspaper go, oh my gosh, we don't go, oh my gosh, that sounds good. We look at that and say, oh, my good Lord, what? The fear instinct, the urgency instinct. Right. The compassion instinct, the horror instinct. It's not a sexual thing. So he says, women, for their own preservation, are trying to pull themselves together and it's necessary for all humanity that they do so. Slavishness on one hand breeds
Starting point is 00:12:43 piggness on the other hand. Pigness on one hand breeds slavishness on the other. I don't even know what this means. This is this kind of Marxist bull crap. Yeah. It's like finding a collection of words. I mean, he really was ahead of the time. This is every academic article these days about intersectionality. In the beginning, there were strong men who killed animals. brought home the food and the dependent women who cooked it. No more. Only the rolls remain waiting to be shaken off. There are no human oppressors.
Starting point is 00:13:17 Oppressors have lost their humanity. One hand, slavishness, on the other hand, pigness. Six of one, half dozen of the other, who wins? Many women seem to be walking a tightrope now. Their qualities of love, openness, and gentleness were too deeply enmeshed with qualities of dependency, subservience, and masochism. How do you love without being dependent? How do you be gentle without being subservient?
Starting point is 00:13:46 How do you maintain a relationship without giving up your identity and without getting strung out? How do you reach out and give your heart to your lover but sustain, maintain the soul, which is you? I'm sorry, it's just, it's an old newspaper font. I will tell you this, that I do have compassion. My mother was a drug addict. She was addicted to prescription drugs towards the end of her life because she was in this middle area.
Starting point is 00:14:16 She was not part of the World War II generation. And she was not part of the 1960s, you know, free love generation. She was in that generation that was the bridge between the two. So she wasn't accepted by the old people because she didn't feel comfortable there. She wasn't accepted by the young people. Don't trust anybody over 30. And yet she wanted to be herself. And I have to tell you, I have great compassion for women and men who lived through this time.
Starting point is 00:14:52 My father-in-law is a great example of this. My father-in-law and my mother-in-law, on both sides. They both grew up in typical new immigrant Italian families where the man was the man and a woman was at home making the pasta. And the man were, you know, bad. A lot of the men were bad. Not all men, but in this particular family, grandpa was not a good guy. Okay. And what the men said went.
Starting point is 00:15:27 well, my my father-in-law grew up in the 1960s where, no, that was not it. So the older generation was like, what are you a girl? You'd tell your wife exactly how it is. And well, he wasn't that guy. And he had to find that middle ground. And my mother-in-law was a woman who, you know, didn't necessarily want to stay home and be her mother. She wanted to have a life of her own. That was a nightmare to navigate, I would imagine.
Starting point is 00:16:00 And they did it somehow. And so in some ways, this is what this article is saying. It's like, look, the people, men and women of that particular time and age are lost. However, what he says the old typical male is and what the new woman is is wrong. It's wrong. I mean, at the very least. every interview with Bernie Sanders should have questions about what he wrote in 1972. They should make him explain exactly what he thought and why he thought that was the way men and women were and whether he believed those things.
Starting point is 00:16:43 Because that's certainly the treatment that would happen to any. Can you imagine a Republican was written something like this? Forget about. I just explained to you a very logical way to look at this article and say, look, this is the time and this was the problem. okay I could you and I could accept that you can as long as you're deleting the first few paragraphs you can get away with that I could make an argument for it I'm not going to because I don't believe it but I could make an argument that would fit in that time but nobody's going to do that for a Republican nobody's going to do that for a conservative they won't do it for people who lived
Starting point is 00:17:16 200 years ago why should we do it for somebody who lived in 1972 and that's the problem is were unreasonable. You're from the Seattle area, right? I am. Are you sure? No. I'm not. Seattle was ranked the second healthiest place to live in the United States.
Starting point is 00:17:37 And you lived in that area. And I'm looking at you. I was one of them that said, you know, because everybody likes Seattle, they're like, oh, man, you can go on the water. You can go on the ocean. So you can, you could surf if you wanted. You could boat. You could, you know, go out and fish.
Starting point is 00:17:52 You can climb the mountains. You can sea. And I'm like, no. I just like open up the windows on a sunny day and look at the mountain. I'm not going to climb it. Okay, that kind of makes sense. Yeah. That probably does lead you to actually needing some field of greens case.
Starting point is 00:18:07 It's like, you know, for instance, salad looks great. It's beautiful on a plate. I'm not going to eat it. Right. And that's supposed to be a decoration at dinner, right? Like they bring it out to show you. The salad, I believe it is. My wife says no.
Starting point is 00:18:22 But it's like the parsley and the cut up, you know, the chives and stuff they put on. they're doing that so it looks nice. A little color, a little burst of color. Exactly right. But you're not supposed to eat that, right? Exactly right. You want that crap? What you do is you get it in a field of greens.
Starting point is 00:18:39 I mean, I don't know if crap's the right word. It's all the nutrients that you need and all the food you're supposed to be eating, all the food your mom told you about a long time ago. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Instead of eating that salad, because it's so beautiful, you don't want to ruin it. Instead of eating that salad, you can have just a scoop of field of greens. Now, I'd like to. that you're drinking. I like to appeal to women here that you can hide it in other foods.
Starting point is 00:19:04 So if you're like, if you're a, your husband is a little like me, you can actually hide this in foods and he won't know. At least that's what my wife says. Brickhouse Glenn, field of greens, brickhouseglen.com. promo code Glenn, get 15% off your first order. A better you is right around the corner. It's brickhouseglen.glen. promo code Glenn. Pause now for 10 seconds, station ID. So I didn't tell you the rest of my fantasy. Okay. Do you want to go further?
Starting point is 00:19:48 Well, I've got, you know, I'm throwing the people of any race other than white. But we start with women. Over in Mount Doom, over into the lava. And I'm sitting. Okay, so the cliff, and this is where it gets scary. So it gets scary. The cliff is made out of graham crackers. And I'm sitting on a marshmallow.
Starting point is 00:20:08 couch that's on a platform of chocolate. And so I'm sitting on a smore that's being slowly roasted while I'm watching my sexual fantasy of just genocide, racial genocide. And I don't know what to do. Do I have a snack and possibly make the cliff a little more dangerous for me to sit on? I don't know. And I'm getting fatter and fatter because I'm eating the chocolate and the marshmallow, but I'm not having any of the graham cracker.
Starting point is 00:20:39 That's the sexual tension in that fantasy. And you, this is from Bernard Sanders, 1972. Yeah, I think that's another separate piece. That's the typical fantasy for men, right? I mean, can you, like, he's saying that the typical man has these, you know, violent, revolting fantasies. And typical women. And typical women as well.
Starting point is 00:21:04 Want to be victimized by the thing. And this is a guy who's going to come out and tell you that one out of every four women in college is raped. And then we need to stop this rape culture. Well, you know, this is in his past believed apparently that women wanted to be raped. Wanted to be raped as he wrote. That is a, I mean, they really should like, it should be like every time he goes on TV, it should say like Vermont Senator to 2020 presidential candidate, local pervert. That should just be under him on every news broadcast.
Starting point is 00:21:34 They should title him that. I think someone needs to work up a Photoshop of that occurred. I don't think it would be out of, out of, like, I don't think anybody would be shocked if you found all kind of like weird porn on Bernie Sanders. I mean, would anybody be like, unbelievable, I never saw that coming. Or you just look at him and go, he does kind of look like the creeper. He, yeah, he kind of fits. I mean, remember, he was in that.
Starting point is 00:22:01 I wouldn't say that. I wouldn't say that. lifestyle back in that day. Right, right. I wouldn't say that about just the average person, but this is the guy who loved Che who went to Cuba, wasn't it Russia for his honeymoon? So he's got some weird authoritarian stuff and then writes up, you know, hey, we like our women tied up and beaten. It'll be interesting to see him now as a serious candidate as opposed to some gadfly
Starting point is 00:22:26 who's running and somehow doing well against Hillary Clinton. Will we be able to withstand the scrutiny of being a frontrunner? The Democrats don't want him. They don't. They don't want him here. Good. Liberty safe. Liberty safe.
Starting point is 00:22:44 It is a beautiful, beautiful safe. The great thing is a liberty safe is a place where you keep your guns and everything else, but you can keep your paperwork, your passports, your marriage license, all of this stuff. And you can keep it in there. And even if your house burns down, like the pictures of Liberty Saves in California fires is unbelievable. Because that's all you see. It's like, it's the chimney.
Starting point is 00:23:11 Yep. And the Liberty Saves. The chimney and the Liberty Safe. There's nothing else around. You'd think that it was just like Nagasaki, except there are the chimneys and Liberty Saves. And you open up those Liberty Saves. And the documents are fine. It's unbelievable.
Starting point is 00:23:26 They have new fire technology that they've invented. Also, they have a great. promotions right now on sale at Cabellas. Get your Liberty Safe. Amac.com.us. Pat Gray and is singing Cowboys joining us now here on the Glenbeck radio program. Singing Cowboys actually couldn't bake it in this morning. But you're still good.
Starting point is 00:24:32 Still not as good with the singing cowboys, but you're still good. Welcome to the program, Pat. Thank you. Thank you. You are concerned today about something very important and near and dear to all of our hearts. Exactly right. Yes. Exactly right.
Starting point is 00:24:46 There's actually something that hasn't happened in almost 60 years that just has finally happened again. Somebody has the top three spots on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. First time since the Beatles in 1964. Really? And, of course, it's the musical stylings of Ariana Grande. Ah, yes. Which she's the one. If you were to finger somebody to break the record or at least tie the record of the Beatles, you would think
Starting point is 00:25:12 Ariana Grande. She's the one that's going to do it. You wouldn't think you too. You wouldn't think Michael Jackson. Did people... Did people think you might have gone Cardi B? Is there a possibility? Hear me out.
Starting point is 00:25:25 That people thought that this was some... You were going to get some sort of Mexican food from Taco Bell. Right, yes, it is possible. Like the Taco Grande. You're like, I love that. Of course, I want to buy that. And you buy it when you get a CD era, you know, download and you're like, I don't. And then you hear.
Starting point is 00:25:41 To be clear, you're not mocking the pastor that felt her up in the middle of that conference who made that joke. No. That's not definitely not what you're doing. No. Okay. That was an honest feel up. Right. Okay.
Starting point is 00:25:55 Okay. It was an honest. Good. He was, I mean, he wasn't doing it sexually. He was just like, I want, what are the? bumps on your chest I want to read I'm a doctor I want to see it's like braille I'm blind was the pastor a doctor a doctor a doctor pastor I didn't realize he was a doctor pastor he was a doctor pastor that was blind yeah that's wow yeah so he was giving her an exam her chest was in braille
Starting point is 00:26:18 and or they could be cancerous so he was doing he was doing braille he was given their exam Anyway, so that's great. But she's overcome that to hold all three. All three top spots. Hit me with the songs because I know all. Seven rings. Huge fan. Love seven rings.
Starting point is 00:26:38 That's about all the seven rings, right? Yeah. One to rule them all. Yeah. And then it's. Or no, no, actually, that actually is from seven brides and seven brothers, isn't it? The seven rings song? I'm pretty sure.
Starting point is 00:26:52 Remember that? I think. It might be, you know, that great musical. Just kicking in now 40 years later. Everybody loves. Break up with your girlfriend, I'm bored, is number two. And I, you know, I, I mean that one, I can't get enough. I have that, I have that, I had the, I painted that on a, like, a nice little, like, bored.
Starting point is 00:27:13 Yeah. And I put that over my daughter's bed. Oh, nice. That's nice. That's great. Just that phrase, because I think that's good. It is good. Break up with your girlfriend because I'm bored.
Starting point is 00:27:23 I'm bored. And Raph wants one now, too. Good message. So it is. And then at number three, this is a former number one song. Thank you next. So that one. Are you familiar with these three?
Starting point is 00:27:36 I've probably heard them because my wife has a radio show and probably plays all of them. I had never heard any of them. So I listened to them after I found out this special occasion. Really good? And oh my, are they? I mean, just really dynamite songs. You know, I find with Ariana. Gronde, sometimes she overuses the acoustic guitar, though.
Starting point is 00:27:57 For my taste. There's so much musician shit. Yes. The companies. We got it. You were trained classically. We understand. You know, I have to tell you, I got out of radio in the 90s.
Starting point is 00:28:11 I got out of music radio in the 90s because I couldn't take it. I know. It's so much worse now. It was just 25 years later. It is so much worse now. I mean, at least you had, you know, Nirvana and Pearl Jam and a couple of bands. Stone Temple Pile.
Starting point is 00:28:25 Anybody. Played instruments. Right. Well, I remember, you know, Britney Spears in that super, super classic verse. I mean, I was doing top 40 radio and I was,
Starting point is 00:28:35 I didn't even care to learn the names of the artist or the songs. Oh, that much is true. Yeah. Oh, I remember. Do you remember this that? That much is true. I remember this one.
Starting point is 00:28:42 There's a super, super classic. From somebody. And it's a great one. I love that. It's a great one. I love that one. And crank it up every time. That was legitimately
Starting point is 00:28:52 happening on a, a radio show. Day after, day after day. And it was, there was this, like, fake act that he didn't really mean it. Like, it's just, oh, I'm just this, ah, I'm just a funny guy. And I'm just, he had no idea what any of the songs were. None. None. And didn't care. He wouldn't even have them on. He had no idea what it was even playing. The volume would be down. Yes. And then I would have to remind him, hey, 10 seconds, 10 seconds, 10 seconds. And I'd hear the last 10 seconds of the song and I'd be like, oh my gosh. That's super, super classic. What a super classic. Wow. And I love that one. That one's going to be living on for decades to come.
Starting point is 00:29:27 Yeah, no idea what it just played. I would love to do that now. I would love to do a top 40 morning shift. We should do that someplace. I'd love to take over a top 40 morning show. And fill in. Oh, that'd be fun. Fill in.
Starting point is 00:29:39 That would be fun. We would destroy the ratings. Oh, yeah. You're not going to have a show afterwards, but it would be fun for us for a few hours. It's a little different now, though, because at least in a lot of cars, you can see the name of the song as it plays. Yeah. So you can just say...
Starting point is 00:29:54 I don't even need to tell you what that song was. You saw it right there on your radio. Man, that's good. That was good. And, of course, the band is equally displayed. The band. Equally displayed. What a compliment.
Starting point is 00:30:09 That's what we like to call computers now. The band. It's embarrassing. What's happening? It's embarrassing. It's embarrassing. Listen, I challenge people to listen to these three songs and tell me any of them even belong to be played anywhere. I can't.
Starting point is 00:30:28 I am currently hooked on Cardi B. Are you? Are you really? So you've got no room for, Arianna? No. Cardi B is terrific. Even though Cardi B is kind of shaking me. She's shaking me.
Starting point is 00:30:41 She is. Yeah, she came out about Jeffrey Jum. Jesse Smollett. Yeah. We have audio of her talking about that. Who names their child, Jussie? Nobody. Nobody.
Starting point is 00:30:53 Nobody. That's a stage name and it's stupid. And it reminds me to go on to the stupid, the stupid, stupid facts of Empire 2. That's a stupid show with stupid people in it. And you should know it because Jussie, just by the name, you're like, correct me if I'm wrong. Somebody comes with an application here and says, I want to work. for Glenn Beck and your name is Jesse. Do you even
Starting point is 00:31:23 get to the application to the right desk? No. Just based on that. Frankly, I honestly probably think they misspelled their first name and meant Jesse, which is not a good, like, if that's happening to you on a
Starting point is 00:31:38 resume, probably an indication that there could be some work issues as well. No, I don't, I don't know. Do you like it better than Jesse? I mean, because I'm cool with that. Yeah, I'm Jesse. Sure.
Starting point is 00:31:51 Call me Jesse. Call me Jesse. But Ariane Grande, she commented on this. And can we play this? Because this is Cardi B. And I don't like this. I don't like this at all. Listen.
Starting point is 00:32:04 So I'm really disappointed in him. Fuck damn. She's right, though. I will say that she is right. She is entertaining. She's an entertaining personality. She is. She's clueled.
Starting point is 00:32:29 I don't know if she's clueless. I mean, she's figured out something. I mean, she just sits there and rants on Instagram, and it makes millions and millions of dollars. There's something about what she's doing, because she's very honest. Like, again, she also came out. We played this clip a couple of weeks ago,
Starting point is 00:32:44 where she came out and was complaining about taxes and how, you know, Uncle Sam is taking 45% of her money and she can't believe it. It's effed up. What did they do to get it? Like, she, that's great. It was really, it was a good clip.
Starting point is 00:32:56 I'm starting to become a Cardi B fan. But she said, I know. but she said, here's the thing. Here's the thing. People don't know. They take that from celebrities. No, they also take it from anyone else. You can be a complete unknown and they'll also do it.
Starting point is 00:33:11 She's learning. There's a learning process going on here. So there's a 45% tax on celebrities? On celebrities. It's a celebrity tax. Wow. A lot of people don't know it. And I love it there.
Starting point is 00:33:24 I love this because she was like, you know, people say, oh, I don't feel sorry for you. Why don't you cut down your lifestyle? I've, this is a quote, I've tried. I can't meet my bills if I don't have at least $250,000 a month. Oh my gosh. We've all said it in the privacy of our homes and she had the courage to say it out loud. She is just, she speaks for the common person. Thanks a lot, Pat.
Starting point is 00:33:51 Pat Gray, at least with all of your Ariana Grande News every single weekday. Check it out the podcast as well. Not to imagine Cardi B. And Cardi B news as well. And the Cowboys. And the singing Cowboys are back next week. And the puppets. They were sick.
Starting point is 00:34:05 The puppets were sick? The puppets were sick. They got, I think the puppets and the singing cowboys are hooking up. There's a scandal going on. We shouldn't talk about it. Holy cow. That's what those bumps on the puppet faces are. Bernard Sanders wrote a piece about this, and we'll get into that later.
Starting point is 00:34:20 It's diseased puppets. What are the fantasies of diseased puppets? We'll get into that. And the Bernard Sanders up. Cowboys tied up. I'm just saying. All right. Here we go with relief factor. If you're in constant pain, I get it.
Starting point is 00:34:33 I was too. Constant pain sucks. For millions of Americans, their pain has dramatically changed the quality of their life. We're talking about two-thirds of adults still battling recurring pain as a result of an injury suffered in high school. My dad was that like that. Football injury and his whole life, knees that were a huge problem. Have you ever shown the scar? I don't want you to unbutton anything, so no.
Starting point is 00:34:57 No, it's caused by Angela Quavis. It's right here, right on my heart, right here. It's caused by what? Was that a disease? Oh, my gosh. Angela Quavis? Yeah, is that a terrible, is that a terrible ailment? No, that was a beautiful, beautiful woman.
Starting point is 00:35:11 Oh, it's a person. Oh, yeah. She broke my heart. She broke my heart. Relief factor helps. I don't think relief factor will solve that problem for you. The fact that you obviously have a very weird memory. Carrying it around since high school?
Starting point is 00:35:26 Sure. Sure. Because you didn't do anything athletic in high school, so you couldn't have an old football injury. No, but I remember I have a story of seeing Angela at a football game after she broke my heart. So it is a football injury. Anyway, relief factor. Works for 70% of the people that try it, that hopefully will be you.
Starting point is 00:35:51 It was me. And it's game changing. Take the risk. Try it for three weeks. It'll cost you 1995. But if it doesn't work within three weeks, it won't work. So, yes, you'll be out $20. But 70% of the people who take it, it works for them, and it works for me.
Starting point is 00:36:06 Get your life back. Go to relieffactor.com. That's relieffactor.com or call 800, 500,000, 83,84. Relieffactor.com. This is the Glenn Beck Program. This is the Glenn Beck Program coming up in just a few minutes. We have the Florida School that hires the, the veterans for security.
Starting point is 00:36:32 We have that coming up. Also, Daily Caller just put out a video of me. They asked me the question last week when I was in Washington. Why is Donald Trump relatable? Why do so many people find him relatable? Here it is. You have a fighter, a guy who is almost bulletproof because everybody knows, of course, it's Donald Trump. And he's taking bold, bold action.
Starting point is 00:36:58 Who else does that? Who else does that? Why is Donald Trump relatable? I think the American people connect to Donald Trump because he is not processed. He is not somebody who has been homogenized and run through focus groups. I remember when I was at CNN, this is 2007,
Starting point is 00:37:27 and Barack Obama was starting to, come up in the polls. And I remember saying, the next president we have is going to be, he's going to look like me, he's going to be fat, he's going to be maybe unshaven. He might have a gravy state. He's like, oh yeah, got a gravy stain. Sorry about that. Listen, here's what's up. He might even fart from time to time, but he'd be just like you. We have gone from the slickest, most pre-packaged president to the guy on the end of the bar stool. And it's, It's not just that. He's also successful in the free market.
Starting point is 00:38:07 And so people see him, and he is an image of success. I've done it. He may be the most eligible bachelor in America. Please welcome Donald Trump. And he's the guy at the end of the bar stool. So it kind of gives you this, well, if he did it, I could probably do it too. So he's that. And then on top of it,
Starting point is 00:38:32 Because we all fart and we all know it, but we don't ever talk about it, when he talks about it, you're like, I love this guy. He farts and he says he farts. And that's refreshing because you are connecting on that level. Donald Trump is who he is. He has told the American people you're not going to take him down. It's fun to watch the media try to take him down because people have already baked into it. They know. He's told them, I'm this guy.
Starting point is 00:39:08 I'm going to do these things. And to my surprise early on, he did those things. I didn't think he was going to do those things. He did them and more. And so now you have a fighter, a guy who is almost bulletproof because everybody knows, Of course, it's Donald Trump. And he's taking bold, bold action. Who else does that?
Starting point is 00:39:39 Who else does that? What do you think of that? That's why he's relatable. I think it's good. I think if anyone's looking to write a headline for a news story, including that video, you could go with Glenn Beck on Farts, quote, that's refreshing. So if you wanted to go with that, you could. I think that's probably a pretty good summary of the way people.
Starting point is 00:40:00 people feel about Trump, right? Like he is, that unrefined nature that the media obviously hates so much is a big chunk of the reason why people like him. Yeah. It was really weird. They put you in this small little room and they say, okay, you can answer one of these three questions and it needs to be about three minutes. And so you don't really have any time to like think about it.
Starting point is 00:40:24 Right, right. And so I said, I don't remember which question that was, maybe question number two. And I was like, yeah, why? he relatable, okay. And then you just riff off the top of your head. Well, you've been saying that gravy stain thing, I think, since back in 2007. Oh, yeah. And it's true. It happened. It really did happen. I mean, I think your initial vision of that was more like a Chris Christie. Yes. You know what I mean, like just a guy who's like, you know, falling out of his shirt and just like, I don't care, shut up. This is what's true. Right. Trump, he's a different, it's a different brand of that same. He doesn't
Starting point is 00:40:53 have the gravy stain. No. Where, you know, Chris Christie would have. But I didn't even know Chris Christie at that time. Chris Christie hadn't really come to the forefront, at least in my world at that time, as a candidate. I just knew you can't go from Barack Obama and be that slick without having the pendulum swing far the other way. You're listening to Glenn Beck. I want to talk to a little bit about American financing here. That's just like you to want to talk about American financing at this time. American financing is a great company.
Starting point is 00:41:30 I actually dealt with them for a while when I was buying. my home. And I went back and forth with them trying to figure out all these different offers. They were actually helping me go through offers from other companies and analyze them. And they did say to me, as Glenn likes to point out, that my loan was basically insane, the one I was going for. Some people might say it was a scam. Some people said that. A scheme. Maybe some people said that. Those words were used. And American finance said, You know, we can't offer that scheme, that loan to you. Because we're a little more responsible.
Starting point is 00:42:07 You're right. But if you want to go get a loan like that, go for it. But they were honest about it. And that's what I love. They're not commission-based. They are salary-based. So they work for you. They're trying to accomplish your goals in the way that they feel comfortable with
Starting point is 00:42:25 because they actually have morals and standards. Like some other people don't. Call American Financing right now. Now, numbers on the screen, Americanfinancing.net. The fusion of entertainment and enlightenment. This is the Glembeck Program. Manatee School for the Arts, Tuition-free, Arts-infused, public charter middle and high school, strives for academic and artistic excellence, safe, student-centered environment,
Starting point is 00:42:54 fully accredited at the high school and middle school levels by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, the only accredited public middle school in Manatee County. They also are a five gold seal of excellence charter school in the state of Florida and have been recognized by the Department of Education as a high-performing charter school. You're doing a commercial for these guys? I just want to let you know they sound like a great school. But they've actually hired veterans to keep their kids safe. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:43:27 Well, who cares about their excellence when they're putting guns on them? campus. We actually have the principal, Bill Jones, uh, to talk about it and see how it's working out and commend, uh, and we commend him for doing it and coming on the program to talk about it. We start with him in one minute. This is the Glenn Beck program. Stu? Yes. I got my 23 and me.
Starting point is 00:43:59 Uh, genealogy report back. I got it back last night. This is big. Big news. This is big. I knew about the French. There's more French in me than I thought. I thought it was just a little that I could wash out.
Starting point is 00:44:13 There's a lot of French in me. They have cures now for that. Yes, I know. There's a little German in me. There's Irish and English in me. But there is 1.3% of me that is something else that no one one in my family ever knew or talked about. I've never known this. Really?
Starting point is 00:44:36 1.3% Native American. You could run for president. I am more Native American than Elizabeth Warren. By a lot. 1.3% Native American. Wow. Is that not fantastic? My son, we found out he's black.
Starting point is 00:44:59 That's right. Well, 0.3%, but he's black. That is really fascinating. That's unbelievable. Unbelievable. I had no idea. No idea. That's really cool how they can uncover from that. That's amazing.
Starting point is 00:45:12 It is. I think of how far that is. This is a product that, I mean, was science fiction in the 90s. I know. And now it's available to everybody. It's really one of the coolest things I think I've ever done. I can't wait to start really good. I mean, it's made genealogy so much more fun, you know.
Starting point is 00:45:30 Where did that come in? How did that come in? What, when? Where? Because I didn't know any of my people were. from here until like the 1800s. So it had to happen relatively recently unless we're, unless we were in Asia,
Starting point is 00:45:49 came over the land bridge. Maybe, maybe. Don't know. Anyway, get your DNA kit from 23 of me. It's unbelievable. It is really, really cool. I'm going to start my own casino. I don't even know if I can, but I'm going to try.
Starting point is 00:46:05 and stop oppressing me, you white audience. This makes you 13 times more Native American than Elizabeth Warren. Well, I wish I would have known. I could have maybe been a professor. Imagine how many books called Pow Wow Chow you could have sold. Don't put any ideas into my wee little brain, as the Irish part of me would say. 23andme.com. 23andme.com slash Beck.
Starting point is 00:46:34 That's the number 233. and me.com slash Beck. Join me on this journey. It is really cool. Really, really cool. Join me now. 23 and me.com slash Beck. I'm not calling. I'm not going to call this audience and audience anymore. This is a tribe. And I am your chief. I am your chief. And once in a while, we'll have to call a powwow. I'm just saying, I can say it because I'm how many more times? 13 times. I'm 13 times more. Native American than Elizabeth Warren. So there you go.
Starting point is 00:47:18 You're all set. I'm all set. I am suddenly offended by cigar store Indians. I don't know why, but I'm suddenly very offended by those. Did you always feel uneasy at that Seinfeld episode? Did it always make you storm a little bit? Well, I always, I laughed about it. But last night, things have changed.
Starting point is 00:47:35 Okay. Things have changed for me. We have Bill Jones. He's the principal, Manatee School for the Arts. I'm sorry to bring you into this mess, Bill. He has nothing to do with the previous conversation. Bill Jones, welcome. Oh, thank you, Glenn.
Starting point is 00:47:50 I appreciate you having me on. You bet. So how are things, Ben, explain what you've done with bringing veterans in? Well, it all passed the bill last year that requires an armed guard on every campus, either an SRO or the new Guardian program or you can go to private security, things like that. So the question of should you, should you be a question of should. you have an armed guard on campus was kind of taken out of our hands, that's not even a conversation anymore because it is required by law. So when you get to that point, you start asking the question,
Starting point is 00:48:26 well, who do we want with a gun on campus? And what's the purpose? And as you follow the conversation further along, then you have to ask the question, well, what kind of gun are they going to carry? So, you know, we looked at if you're going to have somebody who, and remember that the ultimate purpose for this individual, it grows out of the Parkland shooting and previous shootings. So they're here in the ultimate tragedy situation where you have an active shooter or, you know, a salient who comes on campus threatening faculty, staff, students, and so forth. So if you look at that far end of the spectrum, the tip of the spear, you know, everybody likes to talk about it's a rare occurrence. And, of course, it is rare until it happens. And then nobody cares about statistics because it's very real. Ask the folks at Parkland, you know, whether the statistics mean anything at all.
Starting point is 00:49:32 It doesn't matter how rare it is. It's very real. So when you look at that, one thing I said was, you know, most of the statistics mean, Most police officers go through their career, never firing their weapon in anger, and most of them go through their career never actually having been shot at. So if we actually had an incident here, I made the comment one day that I would really rather not have that be the first time that your guard had been shot at. Because I've never been in the military. I've never been shot at. but I have talked to an awful lot of people who have,
Starting point is 00:50:10 and I know that, and I've counseled some of those folks, and I know this is a very life-changing experience. You kind of figure out who you are, how you're going to respond. It's just something, and I'm thinking, you know, in the heat of the moment, I really don't want to have a situation where I have someone who has to stop for a minute and think about this or hesitate, and I don't want to get into, you know, the parkland who hesitated and so forth, but I think that's a very real concern. We have a group of individuals, and this is where we came to, who are trained.
Starting point is 00:50:48 They're called combat veterans. Many of them have been through this. Many of them have come out the other side better than they were before. Some of them have difficulty. We all know that. But we looked at it and said, well, you know, if we made that a criteria, for hiring. And then, of course, we're going to have people go through psychological evaluations.
Starting point is 00:51:13 Sure. They go through all kinds of testing. So that's the first step in this journey is having people who understand that in the event of a tragedy like this, they kind of have an idea of what happens and how they're going to respond. Of course, every situation is different, but at least they've been through it. And they know that it's survival. They know there's a mission that has to be completed.
Starting point is 00:51:42 And they know that it's their job to go ahead and do that, just like it was in the military. Bill, I have to tell you, as somebody who has to have security, I just hired a new security agent. And they go through all kinds of, you know, testing and everything else before they're even coming to interview with me. and I had just really good choices in front of me. One guy who made it to the final selection had lots of military experience, but no actual combat experience. And I said to him, how do I know that you, when the gunfire sounds,
Starting point is 00:52:21 that you're going to run in or you're going to do your job? And he said, well, I'm confident of, I'm confident of that. And he made a good case and he was a really good guy. however, I didn't have anything to show that that is what, because I don't know what I would do if I'm being shot at. You can say, well, I'll pull my cond and out. No, you don't know that. Combat veterans have been through it, and you know how they're going to react. And I commend you for thinking that way.
Starting point is 00:52:54 If my kid was in your school, I would be, I would breathe a lot, a lot easier knowing that you're going for, for tested, qualified combat vets. That's who we're going with, and we're very comfortable, we're very confident. And this has been a long conversation. And I spent a lot of time with our chief of police here, who actually has come on our board now after all this. And thinking next step, you have to look at all these SROs, all these guardians of the training program and everything.
Starting point is 00:53:34 equips them with a 9mm handgun. And our campus is quite large. We have very long hallways. It's quite an expanse across the cafeteria, things like that. That ain't going to work. And, you know, I love to use the analogy that if you're standing in front of our art gallery looking across the cafeteria, it's 151 feet. And I know you're a shooter.
Starting point is 00:54:01 Yep. And next time you go to the range, try taking your... nine millimeter and shooting at 150 feet. No, it's really hard. Yeah, see how many target you hit. Yeah. And everybody has ever talked to all the law enforcement, it's like they kind of chuckle about that.
Starting point is 00:54:15 Yeah. That's not pistol rain. No. But my problem is that I will agree that the majority of school shooters, even though it is small, the majority have come in with handguns. However, the most egregious, the most horrific, like Parkland and some of the others, they've come in with high-powered rifles. Right.
Starting point is 00:54:38 And my concern is, for example, they're going to come in with level three body armor, which they're not supposed to have, but you can buy it at pawn shops anymore. So as I look at that, you know, 150 feet, if I'm standing there, my guardian next to me, and for some incredible chance, the assailant were to get through that door,
Starting point is 00:55:01 which had to buzz in everything, and get past, but if they were to get in, I have this horrible scenario in my mind that I look at the Guardian and say, hey, will you run down there with your 9mm and take care of this for me? And, you know, that'd be tough for me to ask someone to do that, knowing that their probability of survival is going to be pretty slim. So what are you arming them with? That 150-foot shot, and I'm just using that because that's our distance,
Starting point is 00:55:30 we know that it's much more capable. an AR-15, 150 feet with a decent sight on it, is a piece of cake. In fact, I've talked to my guardian and, you know, as an expert marksman from the military and who goes out to the range virtually every weekend to keep in shape, it's like he said he'd have to try not to make a shot like that. Yeah, let's... And that's my concern that why would you ask, first of all, if you're going to ask someone to put their life on the line to guard you,
Starting point is 00:56:05 why would you ask them to use tools that are not as effective as other tools? And guns are tools in this situation. Okay, Bill, hang on the second. Hang on the second. One minute. I've got to take a quick break, and I want to come back to you. So one minute, and then we're back to Bill Jones. I want to know what they're carrying and what the pushback has been like in one minute. First, let me tell you about filter by.
Starting point is 00:56:27 University of Colorado says that the average house is more prone to indoor air quality. levels on par with a polluted major city. And that's because of all of the stuff that happens in our homes. And in the winter, it's worse because we don't open the house up. And so the air becomes wildly toxic. It does. Not to mention it leads to higher bills because your air conditioning has to work harder. And it winds up costing you money.
Starting point is 00:56:57 You're supposed to be, I read somewhere you're supposed to be replacing these things every once or one or two months. I mean, I would have said like one or two. years happened a decade? I would have said, if I was being honest, I'd say every six months. And if I was being honest, I would say I've done it every never. And so I never, no. Well, it'll tell filter by because then they just send it to your house and you don't have to worry about it.
Starting point is 00:57:24 Because when it shows up, you know, I have a box of a thing I need to do something with. Yeah, and it's really easy. You just pop it in and you throw the other one out. It's so easy. Save time, save money. Give yourself an edge this winter when the house is becoming sick or this summer when the house is becoming sick. Just go to filterb-U-Y.com. That's filterby.com.
Starting point is 00:57:45 Make sure that you click for auto renewal because you're going to save, I think, 5% or something like that. And they'll just send it to your door. You never have to think about it again. It's filter, B-U-Y.com. That's filterby.com. 10 seconds, station ID. So talking to Bill Jones, principal, manatee School for the Arts, that has hired veterans now for security. and he's not handing them a 9mm handgun. What are you handing them?
Starting point is 00:58:23 Well, actually, they do carry a 9mm sidearm. But in addition to that, we wanted a high-powered rifle, and quite frankly, we wanted something a little shorter than a standard AR, because you're in an urban setting, hallways. You don't need a big barrel hanging out there swinging around. So I looked into short-barrel rifles, and I have an attorney who specializes in gun law and so forth, and she did quite a bit of research. And the problem is, as a charter school, we're a 501C3 here in Florida, and to purchase NFA Class 3 weapons is a little bit of a nightmare in terms of the paperwork and having your board members.
Starting point is 00:59:12 and all that. It's not just a simple trust like an individual would do. So we, you know, we rankled with that for a while. And I said, well, let's just go with a bullpup. You know, we'll get the full length of the barrel. We'll get the shorter gun. And let's see what's available. We looked around a little bit.
Starting point is 00:59:32 And quite frankly, we were very impressed with this new Caltech RDB 17, which is chambered in 2-23 or 553. six and the military round. It's a very short gun, but it maintains a 17-inch barrel for accuracy and so forth. So now you are... And it hangs across the front. Of course, our guardian's pretty tall, a hefty guy. But it hangs very nicely.
Starting point is 01:00:01 It doesn't protrude beyond the person. It's, you know, if you're not used to guns at all, it's probably any rifle is going to be visually intimidating. but as compared to a standard AR-15, something like that, it's not nearly as visually intimidating. But it also makes it easy to carry around. It's gotten great reviews. My Guardian tells me that he's put about 4,500 rounds through it. It's performed flawlessly for him. So let me ask you.
Starting point is 01:00:33 It's slightly different from the AR platform. What is the... It's an outward ejection. It's an ambidextrous weapon. Are you doing a commercial for Keltec here? Hang on just a second. Let me ask you this bill. What is the, what's the response?
Starting point is 01:00:47 Have you gotten pushback on this bill? There are several levels that you get pushback from. I've gotten emails from groups. It was horrible because they were all foreign emails. And I said, hey, do you have anything original to say? You just want to tell me what the leader of your group has to say. Basically, people who are opposed to guns, period. A lot of email from around the country, especially from vet groups you can imagine.
Starting point is 01:01:30 Yeah. But it's been overwhelmingly positive. I have had some pushback from some gun snobs, the Caltech, and so now you need a true military weapon. You know, it's like, come on. I know, gun people are a little like libertarians, man. Hey, we just love all guns, except that one. That's a little. You're going to have a pen.
Starting point is 01:01:54 Yeah, yeah. Yeah, that's kind of very esoteric. Yeah. We did have, you know, I had someone comments like, oh, it makes it look like war. That was an older gentleman. And I said, well, here we're talking reality here. We're not talking about we wish things could be different. And I made the point that's awful that if somebody comes in with a gun and starts shooting, it is war.
Starting point is 01:02:18 There's blood, there's dead people, there's bodies. It is war. And if you're not prepared for that, then you're not going to get the outcome that. that you're looking for. Bill? You know, everybody talks to me, like I say, about the statistics. So this is a very rare occurrence. Of course it is.
Starting point is 01:02:37 Good. Let's keep it that way. Yeah. And I use the analogy of the lotto. You know, what are the odds winning a lotto? One in $14 million, one in $30 million. But, you know, every week or two or a month or so, oh, my goodness, somebody wins a lot of. Right.
Starting point is 01:02:52 And like I say, for those people, those group statistics are meaningless. to the individual when it happens. And the same thing is true of school shootings. Every school that's ever had a school shooting, you're going to hear the same thing. Gosh, we never thought that would happen here. Right. It always is that case. Bill, I want to thank you so much for being on the program.
Starting point is 01:03:11 Thank you for standing up and being logical and reasonable about all of this. And I think being on radio programs and television programs and everything else is actually going to help your students because you're sending out the message. We are not a safe zone. We're not a gun-free zone. We take this seriously and you want to kill somebody? We're going to kill you first. Thank you so much, Bill.
Starting point is 01:03:35 I appreciate it. Bill sounds like a great guy. I can't imagine how long the announcements go on every morning, though. I feel like you might not get to any classes. He's awesome. That's great. Congratulations on that. And what a great job for combat veterans to come back
Starting point is 01:03:54 and feel like they actually are making a difference. I encourage schools to hire combat veterans to do this. They are unbelievable. They're really, truly unbelievable, and they're the ones to keep you safe. You're listening to Glenn Beck. All right, we all insure our homes and our cars and, you know, everything else. So we were just talking to the school, the vanity school, high school, middle school that has now veterans with automatic weapons or semi-automatic weapons, not handguns, patrolling the schools to make sure that they're safe. And I commend them for that and taking it seriously. We're doing a show tonight at 5 o'clock that I urge you to watch. If you're a Second Amendment person, the Second Amendment is under attack. now by Congress. It is House Bill, HR 8. And what HR 8 will do is take away all semi-automatic guns.
Starting point is 01:07:06 Now, that's because most people don't know what a semi-automatic is. A semi-automatic is a gun that you see all the time. That's what police officers carry. People do not carry revolvers. It's just a gun. A semi-automatic weapon is a modern gun. It's a gun that if you go to buy a gun, most likely that's what you're buying. I don't even know what the percentage is, but it's got to be more than three quarters of guns purchased today. Oh, it's 90% or not automatic. Or semi-automatic.
Starting point is 01:07:32 Yes. Okay. So 90% of everything. I mean, really, you have to go back to a Henry or a Winchester or a, you know, or a cowboy gun to get a non-automatic. Yeah, man, the only thing is semi-automatic. Like there's a certain... My shotgun is semi-automatic.
Starting point is 01:07:51 Some of them are, but not all of them are. Like you could buy... that would seem like a relatively normal purchase, right, to buy a shotgun that doesn't... Yeah, that's a pump action. You know, if you have a pump action, that's not semi-automatic. But that's about it. That's about it.
Starting point is 01:08:04 Cowboy guns. You'd buy a cowboy gun as a, like, a collector's item, right? Like, yeah, I would, you know... They're fun to... When we go to the range, I always bring a cowboy gun because somebody is always like, you know, let me try that. And you realize how impossible it is to fire. a cowboy gun. And you're like, how did they do duels? How did they do this? This is why it was a
Starting point is 01:08:28 contest, right? Right. It's why it was hard to win. Right. So, I mean, it's just, I bring them out for that. I like shooting with my Henry. I would have a hard time with my AR or my Henry. If I had a rifle and, you know, life dependent on it and the two of them were sitting there, I might grab my Henry because I just really like it. But it's certainly not as easy to use or fast to use unless you're really good using it. So they're doing that, and that's through the front door. But I want to tell you about the back door, something else. And this is something I brought up about two years ago.
Starting point is 01:09:03 And it is happening. And the Second Amendment is under attack, and you need to know about it. Tonight, five o'clock, you don't want to miss it. Now, I want to tell you a story about John Pinkard. John Pinkard is this plant manager. He worked at a Illinois manufacturing firm, Henry Pratt, He was 37 years old. He had three kids, along with his wife.
Starting point is 01:09:29 You might have seen this over the weekend. He, along with four other coworkers, were shot dead Friday afternoon. There was this guy who don't even give you his name. He was with a company for 15 years, and he was in a meeting regarding his termination. And he pulled out a firearm, and he started shooting. Josh Pinkard was one of the guys he shot. Josh falls to the ground and he pulls out his phone and he texts a message to his wife. I love you.
Starting point is 01:10:07 I've just been shot at work. She said on Facebook, it took me several times reading it before I realized this is real. I had to read it over and over again. She tried to call. She tried to FaceTime her husband several times, but he didn't answer. Eventually, she managed to get through to a member of the staff at the plant who explained that she was barricaded in a room and that heavily armed police were swarming the area and so she didn't have any, she didn't have any idea about her husband. She got in touch with the police and Aurora who told me there's a staging area for victims and families. She said, I don't know how my body drove me to the scene.
Starting point is 01:10:49 but somehow or another my body took me to the scene and it was there where they told us the list of fatalities and I read my husband's name. Now here's where this is worth talking about. This is what she said with my pastor's help since family was still on planes to get to us. I told my children that their dad didn't make it
Starting point is 01:11:20 and he was in heaven with Jesus. I praise the Lord for giving me this man. Despite the excruciating pain and searing loss, we choose to trust in the Lord, and we thank him for the many wonderful years. The world is darker and more sad now. A huge bright light has left this world. But God, the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away.
Starting point is 01:11:50 Blessed be the name of the Lord. I am lost and devastated beyond words. Things that mattered yesterday don't longer matter today. I will praise the Lord for giving me this mountain of a man. I will praise the Lord for the children that we have together. I will cry out to God during this immense time of sadness and need. I ask that you would remember us in the coming days and months and years. We are scared.
Starting point is 01:12:20 And we're just trying to catch our breath and just putting one foot in front of another. I find this kind of faith, the kind of faith that I hope I have in times of tragedy. It's the kind of faith I think I have. But I don't know because I haven't had to cross this bridge. The kind of faith that says the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. The kind of faith that says, he is in a great place or she is going to be with the Lord and I will see her again. And I'm going to celebrate her life, not spend my life wallowing in her death. That's hard.
Starting point is 01:13:19 I have some friends who lost their children. I don't know how you do that. but once in a while we'll see somebody like this. I'd like to suggest there's a GoFundMe page. I'd say like 23,000. Their goal is 30,000, I think. I'd love to overwhelm this woman and her family. And I know there are three other families involved.
Starting point is 01:13:52 And, you know, we can look for those pages as well. But this woman, the way she is handling it is the way. That's the example. we need today. So can we go to the GoFundMe page? Do you have the address of the GoFundMe page? Yeah, we're tweeting it from your account here as well. Post it up at Glenbeck.com real quick.
Starting point is 01:14:16 We can do that. And what is it? Do you have it? Yes, pulling it up here right now. One moment. I'd like to, they have a goal of 30,000. I have a goal of 100,000. I'd like just to, she doesn't know us.
Starting point is 01:14:31 She doesn't, you know, I don't. You know, I don't know if she listens to us or not, but, you know, odds are that, you know, she doesn't. And we don't want any credit or anything else. We just want to, I would love to have her this afternoon look at her page and go, what the heck happened? Yeah, I love that. Yeah. What happened? I love just to blow this family's mind and have them just break down in tears of gratitude tonight and to think of all of the Americans.
Starting point is 01:15:00 You know, we used to barn build. when somebody had a tragedy, their barn burned down, their house burned down or whatever, we would all gather. This is the modern way of barn building. Here's a great family, a great woman, who has the example for our children. Let's barn raise for them.
Starting point is 01:15:21 Let's shock them. They wake up and there's the new barn. The link is go fund me.com slash Josh dash Pinkard, P-N-K-A-R-D, dash memorial to make it easy. It's up at Twitter.com slash glutton Beck or World of Stew on Twitter as well. You can go to either one of those places and get the link as well as the story. I mean, it's, I think what's amazing about that story is, you know, tragedy happens to a lot of families. You know, I look at that story in the way the family seems to be and I have no idea in that moment if I would be able to react that way. I hope I would. That's certainly how I want to
Starting point is 01:16:01 teach my kids to react in a situation like that. But I don't know. That's, I would be a physically demanding task to be able to pull off. And the fact that she's talking about faith that way and thanking, you know, God for what she did have over a too short a period of time. That's an amazing way to react to that. That's a strong person.
Starting point is 01:16:19 If you looked at my wife and I, knowing me and knowing Tanya, um, and you knew that somebody had hurt my kid or was threatening my kid like this scenario that, you know, we don't need to talk about now that happened last summer. Who do you think would be the one in the family saying, slow down, slow down, slow down, slow down, slow down, let's be cautious, let's be right here, let's do this right. Considering you're the person who's known for flying off the handle at various things?
Starting point is 01:16:48 Yeah, I would think she would be the one. My wife, I'm convinced, I am convinced when this happened to my son and somebody came after my son online and we knew it was a child predator. I really believe if I hadn't have been there, she might have gone to that person and killed them. I mean, I really mean it. She was like, I'm getting on a plane. I'm going tonight.
Starting point is 01:17:12 I am going tonight. And I'm like, honey, honey, honey, honey, honey, honey. It's not a good idea. And you just don't know how you're going to react. You just don't know how you're going to react. And when people react like this, that is true faith. And that's the kind of faith that we all need to have. come what may, they can't take that away from me.
Starting point is 01:17:37 Join us on this. Let's, let's barn race. Let's blow these people away. One more time, it's gofundme.com slash Josh dash Pinkard, P-I-N-K-A-R-D-Memorial, or you can go on Twitter at World of Stew or at Glenn Beck and get the link. All right. Let me talk to you a little bit about life lock. Here we are in the tax season.
Starting point is 01:17:57 Tax season is the worst for identity fraud. Yeah, did you hear about this guy? He was working as a tax preparer and was stealing all this information. They found eight victims of the scheme, and they were taking all of the information for the tax returns and selling it. And people were being defrauded out of, I don't really know us how much money. I mean, there was at least eight victims they know of and they think there's more. And they only caught him because of like a traffic stop, right? Yeah, it got pulled over because I think his registration was out of a date, and that's how they actually came across this.
Starting point is 01:18:30 that is terrifying man i mean because you're you're so vulnerable with this the government wants so much information they make it so impossible you have to go to a professional to get it done right and it's not and it's not even just the tax preparers it's it's when you actually file for it when it once it leaves and goes into the internet or you know into the into the wall that goes down the fiber optic lines once that's out there there are people russians Americans. A friend of mine had someone filed the taxes for him, got a refund, and then when he went later on to file his taxes, actually, it was blocked. You've already filed your taxes. We already sent you a refund. No, you didn't. Huge. I mean, it's a huge problem. That's identity theft and that's what
Starting point is 01:19:14 can happen to you. And right now you can get 10% off. Nobody can prevent NL identity theft or monitor all transactions and all businesses. But LifeLock is the company that can uncover the things that you might miss on your own. Join now and get 10% off your first. year by using promo code back. It's 1,800, LifeLock, 1,800, LifeLock. Or just go to LifeLock.com and use the promo code back and get 10% off. That's LifeLock.com. promo code back, get 10% off at 1,800 LifeLock.
Starting point is 01:19:43 promo code back. Welcome to the program. So glad that you're here. I want to talk to you a little bit about the border wall here because Harry from a DT publisher of Tampa. Tampa. Long-time listener and a thinker. He is.
Starting point is 01:20:04 He said, look, here's a problem. Fossil fuels are dirty. What's the cleanest energy? Electricity. Where does electricity come from? Walls. Outlets. Sockets.
Starting point is 01:20:15 Yeah, outlets. And you find the outlets on walls. So here's the solution. We build the southern border wall and we cover it on both sides with outlets. Oh, my gosh. That's brilliant. That is brilliant. for both the U.S. and Mexico.
Starting point is 01:20:28 Charge Mexico like a, you know, for a pay toilet, like a pay toilet for energy. So they put like a quarter in and they get to power. You know, they can use that outlet. They can power a hairdryer or whatever they want to power. It's a long journey to get your hair dry. I mean, perhaps it would be dry by the time you got to the wall. But that's something for them to figure out. It's not really our concern.
Starting point is 01:20:49 And I think after, you know, after we prove this out as a success, then we just build a new wall between California, Oregon, Washington and the rest of the U.S. And then New York, Vermont, you know, that area, Washington, D.C., and the rest of the country. And they get all their energy, right there, clean energy from that wall. They plug in whatever they want. My understanding is you don't get electricity out of a wall like magic. There has to be an elf inside creating it. So it's a kebler thing.
Starting point is 01:21:17 I'm not sure what the technology. The elves just automatically move into the walls. Like if you set up a wall, will an elf move in to make sure? I don't know, Stu. I live in a time where, you know, I live in a time where, you know, miracle medicine happens. I don't, I don't know how a cat scan works. I just know it does. Okay, I go in a tube and a picture comes out of my head.
Starting point is 01:21:38 Right. Okay. So that's what this is. I don't know how all of this works in the wall. I just know I plug in a device in the wall and it gives me energy. So we have clean energy on both sides of the border. So we cure global warming. We have the border wall up.
Starting point is 01:21:52 This is a bipartisan bill. This is a bipartisan. solution and I will say it is more credible than the Green New Deal. That is accurate. Oh, I think it is. We still have airplanes. Think of, think of the money that we'll be rolling in. I mean, we could guarantee jobs for everybody. That's right. Because if you wanted to, we could put a wall on Canada. Canada, I'm pretty sure they have electronic devices up there now too. I think it may be in Toronto and Montreal. Yeah, in the bigger cities. Yeah, in the bigger cities. They have electric cities. You know, they'll have, you know, I don't know, phones. I don't know about phones, they'll have block heaters for their cars. Yeah, they'll have block heaters. Yep. I don't know about for cars. Not for cars. But they will have block heaters.
Starting point is 01:22:36 Not sure if they're at the combustion engine, but we could put a couple of outlets on the northern side of them. They don't need combustion engines anymore. They just charge all their Priuses or Tesla's up right at the border and just drive away. This will win-win. Wow, what a great solution. Harry, great job. Thank you, Harry. That's important. Thank you, Harry. It's very good. Very good.
Starting point is 01:22:55 By the way, Stu, long-time listeners might be excited. I finally, after 20 years, have found out, figured out a way to do the schlub club. I'm going to talk about it off here and maybe bring it back soon. You're listening to Glenn Beck. Starting point is 01:23:52 The fusion of entertainment and enlightenment. This is the Glembeck program. History has proven that societies which kill their own children do not last long. We're not only killing our babies, we're celebrating the death. Therefore, we are ripe for catastrophe and a catastrophic judgment, the kind of fall that destroys the seemingly undefeatable Roman Empire. The person who wrote that joins me next. This is the Glenbeck,
Starting point is 01:24:33 program. Okay, let me tell you about our sponsor. One minute. And then we're back to the program. U.S. intelligence officials in their annual threat assessment recently issued a warning on increased threats to national security, resulting from tighter cooperation between China and Russia. This is something, man, if we would stop yelling about Donald Trump, maybe we could talk about some things that are important. The cooperation between China and Russia is going to come and bite us in the butt. A cyber war received central billing in the report, as it has, for six. several years. I think we're already in a early cyber war. But the report says that China for the first time was described as capable of launching cyber attacks that could disable the U.S. critical infrastructure, such as disruption of natural gas pipelines for days to weeks. We are in a time of
Starting point is 01:25:27 great transition. And when I say that, I mean, in the next 10 years, the maps won't look. the same. Borders will have changed. Banking will have changed. Currencies will have changed. Everything in your life is it's not going to look the way it does right now. So how are you prepared to go through all of that upheaval to get to the other side? Call Gold Line now and find out if it's right for you and your family how to invest in gold or silver the physical way at 866 Gold Line. 1-866 Gold Line or Goldline.com. In just a few days on Saturday, there is something called the day of morning. Now, this was happening in New York. It was happening in Albany. And it was started by Elizabeth Johnston.
Starting point is 01:27:17 Now, she was on the program with us last week. And now there are 20 more cities where this has started to spread. Elizabeth joins us now. Hello, Elizabeth. Hi, Glenn. How are you? Very good. I just want to introduce you.
Starting point is 01:27:32 Elizabeth is a speaker and an author and a vlogger. And she has been involved in all. kinds of things, but mainly raising her 10 children. Some things have happened in life where she said, enough is enough, not on my watch. And she has now become a very big, powerful voice in social media and has written a new book called Not on My Watch, but we want to talk to her about the day of morning. So what's happened since last we spoke, Elizabeth?
Starting point is 01:28:05 Partially, thanks to being on your show last week, and we could not be more excited about the response to the day of morning. As you mentioned, we are now simulcasting the event to 21 cities. Days ago, we had sold out of our venue space at the convention center. We are scrambling to rent more rooms at the convention center to simulcast. I think we'll have at least 5,000 people at the convention center in Albany, New York, and probably standing outside. We have tapped into something, Glenn.
Starting point is 01:28:38 And people want to be anywhere they can be near the day of morning because we are standing in the gap and interposing for our nation on Saturday. We believe the blood of these babies is crying up to God right now and we are in deep trouble. And we've seen in history times when people have stood in the gap for their nation and God has spared their nation, like when Moses stood in the gap for the Hebrew people. And God spared them. And Esther stood in the gap and called for fasting and prayer. and Haman wanted to destroy her people, and God spared them. That is the heart of what we are doing on Saturday, and people just want to get as close to it as they possibly can. All right.
Starting point is 01:29:18 So you have events now in Apple Valley, California, Eugene, Oregon. Wow, that's shocking to me. Is Eugene normal? Sorry, I mean, sorry to say that. Sorry, Oregon, but you know what I'm talking about. Chicago, Illinois, Charlotte, North Carolina. Where else? Oh, you can, if you go to the day of morning.
Starting point is 01:29:38 You will see the 21 cities where we are simulcasting. Scroll to the bottom of the website, dayof morning.org, and you will see that we are just in tons of states. And super excited about that. I just, I think people, Glenn, they are tired of the half measures that we have been taking. When are we going to see that these half measures aren't working? You know, when you cut branches off a tree, the branches are going to grow back, right? And the pro-aborts are always coming back with more and more bloodshed, more and more outrageous legislation. And the pro-life movement has been strangely fixated on passing pathetic legislation that says, you know, you can kill the baby as long as the doctor has hospital privileges, or you can kill the baby as long as you let the mom wait 24 hours, or you can kill the baby as long as the clinic is sanitary.
Starting point is 01:30:35 Are we out of our minds? Glenn, what if we said that back in the Holocaust time about the Jewish people? Okay, you can kill Jews as long as the clinic is sanitary. Have mercy. Like, no, we need to end the killing. And that's why this is a vertical response on Saturday, Glenn. It's saying, you know what, we have all just been completely negligent and complicit in this crime of child killing. And we've got to make this right with God.
Starting point is 01:31:02 All right. So this is the thing I like about this. This is not a thing where everybody gets up and gives a speech and you're cheering and you bringing signs. You're asking people to on Saturday not to shop, to close your business if you're a business owner, to wear black in mourning and repent for the sin of abortion and ask for God's protection. So at these events, what you're going to see is what exactly, Elizabeth? Beth? You will hear inspiring testimonies and stories from, for instance, a mother who chose life because Christians were there to help her choose life when she was heading into the abortion clinic.
Starting point is 01:31:43 You'll hear from an eight-year-old abortion survivor who was adopted and is just a beautiful young woman. You'll hear from black conservative David J. Harris is going to deal with what a problem this is in the black community and how they get killed off so much of their race. but more than speakers, you're going to hear us all praying, seeking God, crying out to God for mercy. This is a prayer meeting. This is a sober time of repentance. We are standing in the gap for our nation. And, Glenn, I just cannot thank you enough for, you know, partnering with us in this and helping us get the word out.
Starting point is 01:32:25 Elizabeth, I really appreciate what you're doing. I think it's very brave and high time. And what I like about this movement is it isn't about people and it isn't about parties or elections. It's really about what I believe is a covenant that we made with God. And we have broken that covenant. And if we don't cry out to him and beg for forgiveness, if he doesn't hear from us, we are going to be destroyed. We are going to be destroyed because I firmly believe with the technology and the ingenuity that we have as Americans, if we go dark, we are going to be the worst nation ever in history. We are going to make the Nazis look like rookies.
Starting point is 01:33:18 With what we have now in technology, we can kill millions of people overnight. And it can all be done in the cover of darkness. in their own home. And nobody will ever see it because we can cut off all communication. I mean, it's, it's, it's horrifying to think. And we are strangely no longer moved. It's, you know, the man's love for man has waxed cold. Yeah, think about this, Glenn.
Starting point is 01:33:49 Think about the passion that the left has for their ideas and the lack of passion that we have for ours. The potheads will defrauded. will defy the feds for their marijuana, state after state, after state, but we don't even have enough love for our preborn neighbor to defy the feds when they tell us it's okay to execute babies in cold blood. This is why we're meeting on Saturday because something has happened to our hearts. We are dead inside to an issue that should so greatly alarm us that we can't sleep at night,
Starting point is 01:34:23 an issue that would cause us, yes, to defy the feds to say, I don't care what Rosie Wade says. Rosie Wade can kiss my grits. I'm going to protect these babies. And we don't have that, Glenn. And so that's why we are seeking God to change our hearts on Saturday. Elizabeth Johnston, she's the author of the book, Activistmommie.com. It's the day of morning that is happening this Saturday. I cannot urge you strongly enough, no matter what your faith is, please, please turn your eyes to God and beg for forgiveness and help and time so we can correct the sins that we have just let happen on our watch.
Starting point is 01:35:14 And I know, you know, I'm not talking to anybody about repenting. I have so much repenting to do. I have said so many times in my career. And especially at the times when I was at Fox, we were under attack on so many different things. And people came to me and said, you've got to talk about abortion in life. And I said, are you kidding me? I can carry no more water. Somebody else has to carry that bucket because I just can't carry any more water.
Starting point is 01:35:43 And I regret that. deeply. And we all have, we can all make excuses, but in the end, those excuses don't mean anything. This is a holocaust that has happened in our country. And, uh, and those of us who say we are against this, we do have to stand in peace, in love, with compassion. And we should take the beam out of our own eye first before we look for the beams in other people's eyes. Elizabeth, thank you so much. Thank you, Glenn. God bless you. Dayofmorning.org. So I want to talk a little bit about, I want to talk about a little, something that I found interesting today about the inside scoop of Cortez. And the way AOC, I hate that. I hate that so much. It's painful. It really is. It's painful. They just are trying to make her a thing so badly for different reasons. I think every like mainstream analysis of her is completely wrong. Like the typical way you look at Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is at least the way the media does. She's this energetic superstar up-and-coming future of the Democratic Party that is the typical way. lit everything on fire, it's amazing.
Starting point is 01:39:29 And the Republicans are obsessed with her because they're afraid of her. That is the... I love it. I love it. And I think both of them, though, are wrong. I do too. Right off the bat, we talked about the idea that Republicans are only bringing her up. If you think about the goals of Republicans in election cycles for the past, let's say, 70 years, it's been try to show that Democrats are socialists, right?
Starting point is 01:39:54 And that will scare a voter from voting. for them, right? Like, being honest about, like, you might think if you're a Democrat, oh, they're not all socialists, but the Republican goal has to be to paint Democrats that way. They give us a lot of help, right? Like they are, many of them support so many policies that are the same. But it's been a hard task. For the example of Barack Obama this recently, when we were saying, like, hey, this guy has a lot of socialist tendencies, we were called racist and haters. We were throwing out these evil, awful accusations at this president. Now, they're embracing it. They're calling themselves a socialist.
Starting point is 01:40:31 It's almost like they took off their mask. So, yeah, exactly. As you pointed out back in the day. And so the idea that Alexandria Casio-Cortez, the Republicans are afraid of her, it's the exact opposite. She is giving them what they've tried to accomplish for 70 years. They are finally saying, yes, Democrats are socialist, and we're telling you that we are. And that's a gift to Republicans. It is. In fact, let me play the audio from Bernie Sanders where he just said, look, you know, just a few years ago, nobody wanted to say that they were a socialist. Now that's what the party has embraced. Listen to this. Many of the ideas that I talked about, Medicare for all, raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour,
Starting point is 01:41:17 making public colleges and universities tuition free. All of those ideas, people say, oh, Bernie, they're so radical. They are extremely American people just won't accept those ideas. Well, you know what's happened over three years? All of those ideas and many more are now part of the political mainstream. So you're saying the party came your way? Well, I don't want to say that. I think most people would say that.
Starting point is 01:41:42 And the numbers show that as well. Right. 538 did a study on this and showed, yeah. Or no, CNN that did it. CNN said, yeah, by the way, this is the most liberal field in history. Right. So, so what was wrong in the media, what the media said, oh, how dare you, you racist say this, that these people are socialist. You're just, you're just throwing nasty names around. We're like, that's not a nasty name.
Starting point is 01:42:08 It's not a racist thing. It's a political ideology that has been tried all around the world over and over again. Well, you just want to, no, I'm just telling you that's what they believe. Well, they do believe that. And now they're embracing it. So the right should celebrate that they are now embracing this because we can have at least an honest conversation. I mean, my love for a campaign between two people last year or last time in 16 was Ted Cruz and Bernie Sanders. Yeah, let America make a decision.
Starting point is 01:42:46 Yeah. Have an honest open debate. Bernie Sanders is open and honest. I am not for the Constitution being the way it is. I want to reverse and have a second Bill of Rights. And I want to make this a document that says these are the things the government must do. And Ted Cruz believes in the Constitution the way it is and says, no, these are the things the government must never do. Let's have that conversation and just get done with it.
Starting point is 01:43:12 Let's just get on with it. But they didn't want to have that debate. Now we can have that debate. And we're on the winning side of this. we're on the winning side. Now, we look at Akazio-Cortez and the media says, oh, we're just afraid of her. No, or not. And quite honestly, neither is the left.
Starting point is 01:43:33 Now, I want you to know, there are two Democratic parties right now. There's the hip Democrats like Akazio-Cortez. And then there's the hip-replacement Democrats. And the hip-replacement Democrats, we all know who they are. It's Schumer and Nancy Pelosi and everybody. else and kind of Bernie Sanders, except he's actually in both categories. He actually fits probably more in the hip Democrats. Yes. The same thing, the same way like you would have put Ron Paul in the hip Republicans back in the day. Yes. Like even though he might be older, he fits more of that brand.
Starting point is 01:44:05 Right. He was a rebel. Right. He was a rebel. And he's such a rebel that he's gone back to being a Democrat to run for the presidential candidacy in the Democratic Party, although he's always an independent and now he's going after independence like Howard Schultz because you got to join the party. You got to be part of the party. Yeah. I mean, it's just crazy. Anyway, so there's these two, there's these two groups. And these two groups are really looked at as crazies. And I believe, I've wondered, why, why is Nancy Pelosi and why are these people just allowing Akazio-Cortez just to do this, just to take out, you know, a talking point memo, quote, unquote, and say, we're going to get rid of cars and we're going to get airplanes and everything else.
Starting point is 01:44:59 Why are they allowing her to do this? I actually think I figured it out. Last night on the TV show, we went over the Green New Deal, and I want to bring you the highlights of that show and show you she is, I actually think she's a pathetic. I really do. I think she's a really sad, pathetic figure that has no idea how she's being used by the hip replacement Democrats. Coming up. You're listening to Glenn Beck. American Financing Corporation, NMLS-182334, www. NMLS Consumer Access.org. Okay, bad time to be a renter. Good time to own rental property. Bad time to actually have to rent it. rents rose about 4.2% last year.
Starting point is 01:45:49 So what does that say to you? That says you shouldn't be a renter right now. You should own your own home. Now here's the good thing. If you can get a loan right now and lock it in, you're going to get a rate that you're not going to see again, perhaps ever. I mean, it's going to get crazy.
Starting point is 01:46:08 If we really try to fix this economy, if we really try to fix this currency situation, rates are going to go through the roof. Now is the time to buy and lock in your rates and the people that can do that for you is American financing. These people I trust 800, 906 2440 or Americanfinancing.net. Do it now. Americanfinancing. Dot net. Alexandria Casio Cortez. Is she the new exciting Democrat thing or is she being used by the old school Democrats? We'll get to that next. So last night at 5 o'clock, I did a special on the Green New Deal. And it all came together for me last night on Cortez and this whole thing with the new Green Deal and how that was rolled out. I want you to know there's the hip Democrats, the new Democratic Socialists, and then there's a hip replacement Democrats. And that's Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer and everybody else who just they're going to use the Socialists, they think.
Starting point is 01:47:15 they're going to use these socialists to get what they want and then, you know, they'll get rid of them. They have no idea. You're dealing with actual socialist, democratic socialists who do believe in the end. You know what? You got to break a few eggs to make an omelette. And who's using who? Well, you've lost control of your party for the Democrats. And here's how I know this. If you read the draft text for the proposed amendment to the House rules for the 116, Congress of the United States, they want to have a new committee, a green New Deal committee.
Starting point is 01:47:54 And in that, you have to say what your goals are. So when we were arguing about, look, they want to take away cars, they want to take away airplanes, they want to do this in the next 10 years. All of that is true. But then you had the cow farts and all of that. And it just became a joke, right? And you're like, look it. And everybody was saying it.
Starting point is 01:48:14 I was saying it. This is it written by a 10-year-old. This is ridiculous. This is like romper room stuff. They really want to do it, but look at how ridiculous it is. And then all of the declared candidates would not step away from the Green New Deal. Why? When you've got a cow fart thing that looks that ridiculous, why wouldn't you step away?
Starting point is 01:48:39 I actually think you might feel bad a little bit for Ocasio-Cortez after I explain this. because I think she is being used just the way people in power always do. They use up and they destroy. Now, you can use somebody up. If they're very, very good at something, you can use them. See, the Republicans have not done this. If when you were given the gift of Donald Trump, now hear me out, Republicans, you were given the gift of Donald Trump.
Starting point is 01:49:17 I don't care what you think about him. I don't care what you think about his policies. I don't care if you despise him or love him. He's a gift to the Republican Party. How? Because if you think about, if you think like someone who has a set of goals to get things done, you can get anything through Congress,
Starting point is 01:49:43 or you could have gotten anything through Congress because this guy is a side show. And that's the way he operates. And he likes that. He likes the spotlight, which means you could have written and said, you know what? We're going to,
Starting point is 01:50:03 we're going to ban all abortions. And we might just make some abortions, legal, rape, incest. And in the case, you're Michael Moore. And I think you could have gotten it through. because the press was watching Donald Trump. He was providing misdirection. And so everybody is talking about Donald Trump.
Starting point is 01:50:26 You could have passed almost anything. Put it on his desk. He would have signed it. And the press wouldn't have stopped it. Because they were focused on whatever he just tweeted. Exactly right. Yeah. Exactly right.
Starting point is 01:50:35 So he's a gift. Now, I don't think that Ocasio-Cortez, I think she's a gift to us. But I really do believe that the, hip replacement Democrats view her as a gift too. She's a sacrificial lamb because they know that somebody like Ocasio-Cortez are not going to get this done. She's not going to get this done.
Starting point is 01:50:59 But she can go and make the point and she can provide cover and misdirection while what's happening behind the scenes is really where the business is being done. So let me read this and tell me what's more frightening to you. Cow farts. We're going to get rid of cars and airplanes. Or this. The select committee shall be composed of 15 members appointed by the speaker, of whom six may be appointed on the recommendation may be appointed on the recommendation of the minority leader.
Starting point is 01:51:40 So. It's already nine to six. Right. At best. At best. The speaker shall designate one member of the select committee. as its chair. The select committee shall have the authority to develop a detailed national, industrial,
Starting point is 01:51:56 economic mobilization plan here and for after referred to in this section as the plan for a new green deal or the plan. This mobilization plan will be for the transition of the United States economy. That is kind of shocking in a number. of itself. The transition, fundamental transformation of the United States economy to become greenhouse gas emission neutral and significantly draw down greenhouse gases from the atmosphere and the oceans. If there was a period there, you would say, okay, that's pretty bad, but there's not a period there. There is a conjunction and to promote economic
Starting point is 01:52:46 and environmental justice and equality. The Green Do New Deal, as Van Jones says, green is the new red. Remember that? Green is the new red. You can get everybody on board this green train, but it ain't taking you to Green Town. It's taking you to Red Town. Green is the new red. Forget about the greenhouse gases and atmosphere and the oceans and everything else.
Starting point is 01:53:13 What they're saying is, and... Promote economic and environmental justice and equality. The plan shall be prepared in consultation with experts and leaders from business, labor, state and local governments, tribal nations, academia, and broadly represent civil society groups and community. It will be driven by the federal government. It will be executed in no longer than 10 years. And it will provide opportunities for high-income work, entrepreneurship, cooperative and cooperative and public ownership, ownership and additionally be responsible to and in accordance with the goals and guidelines relating to social, economic, racial, regional, and gender-based justice and equality.
Starting point is 01:53:57 What were those like? Give me those categories again? Racial gender. Social, economic, racial, regional, gender-based justice and equality. Now, none of those had anything to do with the environment. No. I mean, social justice, racial justice, regional justice. gender-based justice.
Starting point is 01:54:19 None of that has anything to do with being green. Okay. It's important to note that because this is not a bill to, it is not a crazy environmental bill. No. It is a crazy environmental bill plus a crazy socialist bill. This is to completely transform the American economy away from a free market system. Okay.
Starting point is 01:54:41 Also, it is to mitigate deeply. entrenched racial, regional, and gender-based inequalities in income and wealth, including without limitation, ensuring that federal and other investment and other investment will be equitably distributed to historically impoverished, low-income, de-industrialized, or otherwise marginalized communities in such a way that builds wealth and ownership on that community level. It is going to, it shall include additional measures such as basic universal income programs. It shall include universal healthcare programs and any others that the select committee may
Starting point is 01:55:35 deem appropriate to promote economic security, labor market flexibility, and entrepreneurism. And it shall deeply. involve national and local labor unions to take a leadership role. Let's see, as we're all watching Akazio-Cortez dance and say funny things, and we're all like, can you believe these things are happening? They're not moving the Overton window. They're getting the job done. This will pass in the House.
Starting point is 01:56:15 It'll pass in the House. And then it'll just wait for Senate approval. It shouldn't get through the Senate. Certainly, it would be vetoed by Trump if it did. Yeah, but what happens to 2020? Right. Maybe that's, uh, this is the America you are headed for.
Starting point is 01:56:31 This is the Democratic America. This is from their bill. You need to take this bill and sit down with your like-minded Democratic friends. And you need to do it now before things start to get really bloody. do not talk about politics, talk about the free market system. And look, you know, look, there's a difference between a big welfare state and a socialist state. A welfare state is what we have now. A welfare state is what Sweden has.
Starting point is 01:57:08 So you know, Sweden has about a 50% income tax at every level. So we're not talking about just doing the writ. if you want Sweden, it will take 50% of everyone's income to do it. And it still will fail. However, that's a difference between ending the free market system. And you can have the clips from Acosio Cortez says where it's not going to be with us for very long. You have that. You now have a bill that says to fundamentally transform our economy into an a,
Starting point is 01:57:48 economic and environmental justice and equality economy. Run by the government and the labor unions. Is this anything you want your children to live under? They are using Acosio-Cortez. What am I a clown to you? Yes. Yes, you're a clown to us. And they are using her.
Starting point is 01:58:17 And when her effectiveness is done, they will kick her to the curb like she is Blazy Ford. She will be nowhere to be seen, and she'll be asking herself, what the hell happened? She's wearing out her welcome already. They're only doing this for misdirection. Relief factor, if you're in pain, most Americans who are in constant pain, $2,000 minimum.
Starting point is 01:58:51 $2,000 is what you spend on pain, really. just the two grand though that's it that's crazy that's probably how much relief factor costs right no no not not even close no 66% expect to live their life the rest of their life in pain is it four thousand dollars for relief factor that's a lot that's a lot glen i gotta say no it's actually that's even more than no let me give you this the trial the trial pack is uh 1995 so 2000 basically two thousand dollars as well it's going to be about ten dollars and 95
Starting point is 01:59:23 And it's 100% drug-free. It's created by doctors. It's a dollar a day. A dollar a day. That seems pretty fair. Yeah. So 70% of the people who order the three-week quick start go on to order more. Four key ingredients helps your body fight against inflation.
Starting point is 01:59:39 And that's where our pain comes from. So if you're in pain, you don't have anything to lose but the pain. Try it. Relieffactor.com. That's relieffactor.com. I think that the reason why Nancy Pelosi is still the Speaker of the House and, you know, she's, she's, she's not in step with people. But I think that is actually, A, because she's powerful and nobody likes to give up power.
Starting point is 02:00:07 But also as a way to retreat, I think the, you know, the, the hip Democrats are taking the party into a deeply socialist direction. and the hip replacement Democrats are all kind of staying away from that. And I think in some ways it's smart if you were a chess player, you would say, let's just keep this as a way to fall back. Don't put anybody in the leadership of these new Democrats, because in case the 2020 election is disastrous, we may have to reverse course and go back underground and be quiet socialist. But make no mistake, you're not talking about with these hip Democrats,
Starting point is 02:00:49 socialism that is talking about welfare, you're talking about turning off the free market system. Democratic socialism. Right. Yeah. There's an article in Vox written by a writer at Jacobin magazine, who's a socialist magazine. It's important to keep pounding this. So people understand what a Democratic socialist is. This is written by a Democratic socialist, quote. In the main socialist outlet. That's where she works. She wrote this for Vox. I'm a staff writer at the Socialist Magazine, Jacobin and a member of the DSA, Democratic Socialists of America, and here's the truth. In the long run, Democratic Socialists want to end capitalism. A robust welfare state in an economy that still organized around capitalist profits can mitigate
Starting point is 02:01:31 the worst inequalities for a while. But at best, it's a temporary truce between bosses and workers and one the former will look to scrap as soon as they can. Many observers see groups like the DSA pushing for policies like Medicare for all and decide that we must be actually something like New Deal liberals who are simply confused. about the meaning of socialism. A green new deal. That's not true.
Starting point is 02:01:52 Our goal is not to rein in the excesses of capitalism a few decades at a time. We want to end our society's subservience to the market. Medicare for All is an instructive example. Winning single-payer health care in the U.S. would be an enormous relief to the millions of Americans who blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, who really have bad insurance. We want that too. But we also know that Medicare for All is not socialism.
Starting point is 02:02:13 It would only nationalize insurance, not the whole health care system. Democratic Socialists ultimately, want something more like the British National Health Service, the NHS, in which everyone pays taxes to fund not just insurance, but doctors and hospitals and medicine as well. So why are Democratic Socialists not demanding the NHS right now? Here's your most instructive part of this article. Because we currently don't have the support to push for and win
Starting point is 02:02:38 such an ambitious program. Social Democratic reforms like Medicare for all are in the eyes of the DSA, part of the long, uneven process of building that support and eventually overthrowing capitalism, period. That is what 70 Democrats signed on for with a New Deal, the Green New Deal. As you just read it, Glenn, that is a description. It's a plan to put what I just read into practice. It is from this bill to set force a racial, regional, and gender-based justice and equality.
Starting point is 02:03:17 and transform the American economy into that under the guise of carbon neutrality. You're listening to Glenn Beck.
