Look, it was a catastrophe. Let's be honest. Right. Okay. Joe Biden, it was like a time I tried to make a move on Ethel at the prom. Ethel. What happened there? Well, she seemed to be into it, but she had so many layers of pantaloons.

And I was unable to get to the conclusion of the evening and the sun came up. I was still trying to remove layers. Right. Okay. All right. So, Wilver, we're really looking, we're looking towards the future here on whether he is going to drop out from the campaign or, I mean, what has been decided? Well, the first thing that was decided was that his entire campaign would now be sponsored by Previgin. We believe multiple sentences will come out together. Right.

Joe Biden, obviously. But he also beat Medicare. And I think that's a good thing for him to come back to. Joe Biden beat Medicare and Millard Philb...

Miller did as well. And I think he could stand done that. By the way, is this, is this, am I speaking with Don? Is this Mr. I'm Don? No, he's, uh, let's just say Don doesn't work here anymore either. I listen every day, John. Yeah, all right. All right. Good. And I will say, I just, I'm concerned that Joe Biden may come off as too youthful for the American people. Too youthful. I don't know if you've noticed lately, but the American people. people love old candidates. They don't want people who are coherent.

Let me, let's just talk a little bit about what the Biden campaign did come out and say this weekend. They said that Joe Biden was over-prepared and relying on minutia when all that mattered was vigor and energy.

Apparently, one person with the White House said they prepared him for the wrong debate. I don't know which debate he would have been good at, but they prepared him for the wrong debate. He was over-prepared when what he needed was a rest. So we have that going for us. I don't know about you, Stu, but I saw, yeah, when that rings true to me, when I think back to what happened last week, I think over-prepared. Too much preparedness. Too many facts right at his fingertips. Too many.

That was the problem. Right. Mm-hmm. He was like, you know, I've got. all the minutia here and nobody wants to talk about it. Yeah, I mean, that is a common issue and actually does happen to candidates, right? It just didn't happen in that debate. Like sometimes, sometimes you get these candidates that are out there giving you a million facts and figures and giving you an Excel spreadsheet in debate form and that doesn't work very well, which is why, you know,

you go back to and you tell that story all the time of Roger Ailes and Reagan, where like, hey, focus on the five big themes. Bring it back to one of the things that you believe that you can defend easily and let people give a broad, hopeful vision for the future. That was not the issue here. That was not the issue. The issue was the man is incoherent. Everybody has known it for many, many years and it was just fully on display that night. Well, he also had a cold, sore throat. And, you know, it sore throats can do. Sometimes sore throats will make you, uh, uh, I couldn't hear him. Sorry, I've got a sore throat. You hear that all the time for people. I couldn't hear him, but he was on a microphone, right?

He wasn't like yelling to the other side. Like they had, you know, sometimes you think you have your headphones in and like maybe you're doing a Zoom call and you've actually had your computer speaker on. Maybe it's too far away so you're a little distant. That's what it was like. I was in a room where we had in a television studio doing coverage and we had speakers on on the floor. And I couldn't hear some of his responses because he was so terrible at projecting his voice.

These are basics. This has nothing to do with too many facts and figures. Yeah, and it also has, you know, I don't want to need to bring up age, but it also has something to do with your age. You're starting to lose your hearing clearly. Now, the other thing that happened at the White House this weekend is they did admit that the president is sharpest between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. so and this was out of that time period you know he's sharpest between 10 and 4 that's when we can get answers god forbid there's a 3 a.m. phone call no can you call back between 10 and 4 we don't we don't have the president it is sharpest right now uh so so that's good Steve crackauer called it the

186 intermittent presidency and it's like it's like intermittent fasting except you're ruling the free world. That's not a good format for success. Not good. Not good. But you know, here's the other thing that I really enjoyed. Rocana, a representative Democrat from California, said, don't worry about this. And I'm quoting, we have a great team of people that will help him govern. Excuse me? What? I, as a person who studied the history of our founding. Is that our system of government? But ruling by committee? No. No. No. That's not a, uh-uh. A secret cabal of people behind the scenes using the president as a puppet. No, that's really, that's not what we know.

That is big in the puppet industry. You know what I mean? Puppeteers. Okay. They make a lot of money. Sometimes, you know, they're, they're back behind the curtain, pulling the strings. But that's generally left to puppeteers and George Soros. Uh, Not our system of government. No. How similar, Glenn, is this to the Woodrow Wilson situation when he had the stroke and his wife was basically running the nation? Absolutely. How close?

Absolutely the same. Absolutely the same. All we don't, we don't have Jill Biden jamming a pen into his hand and signing the name using his hand with hers over it, signing Woodrow Wilson. That we know of. That we know of. That we know of. I mean, would you be surprised? No. Full stop.

Not at all. Nope. I mean, this meeting, we have Bill O'Reilly on in about 10 minutes, and he says, I got it, I got the scoop, I got it, I got the scoop. And he says he's going to be dropping out of the race. Yeah, he said the decision had been made. Yeah. Which, I mean, you know, he's not hedging it at all. He said, this is, he's got information that it's done, I think, was his report. That's what, that's going to be fascinating.

Yeah, so I wrote to him immediately last night and I'm like, okay, big man. step up to the plate. So he's coming on. But yeah, I have a real problem with, you know, everybody just talking about him dropping out of the race. If he's not qualified to do a debate, not sure he's really qualified to be the guy who's making the decisions every day. And if you're telling me, Rokana, that you have a great team of people around him that will help him and move things forward. Can you tell me who else is in this team? This is the thing America should be asking today.

Who's running our country? Who's making these decisions? Because it's clearly not the president. Nobody is sitting around in the White House going, well, I need, I mean, the president isn't in until 10.30. And I got to see him by three. You know, between three and four, he really starts to fade. And we got to get these answers from him.

No, we got to get a signature from him. We got to get something official or have him make this statement and sign on to this statement. But they're not sitting around waiting for him. And that should scare American. Who did you vote for? Who did you vote for? Who is running this country? And I find myself very torn right now in that we have this guy running the country for the next six months.

like in theory. And I want that to stop because I am concerned about our country and what can happen in the next six months. However, I'm very torn on this because I think there's this idea from taking that part out of it and looking at the political aspect, who's going to be elected in November. I sense a lot from conservatives that like, hey, this is great. Joe Biden might need to step down. I think it's the exact opposite. We should. all be praying this man stays in the race. From outside of the fact that we might explode in a nuclear Holocaust, set that aside for a moment.

Just looking at the politics of this, like, no matter who they bring in, they will be able to speak an occasional sentence. They will not fall over while on stage. It may not be the case if it's Kamala. But I mean, I saw Kamala on CNN, the night of the night of the. the debate. I was watching back the coverage to see what they were saying. And all of them were like, oh my God, this guy's got to step down immediately. And Kamala comes on and does an interview, was it good? No. No. It was not good. Was it 1,000 times better than what Joe Biden did on stage? Yes.

And if you're taking away their biggest liability in the polls, which is his age, you get into a dangerous situation. This is closed election already. So I don't know. The last thing you want is keep Joe on as far as that goes. There's two sides to this. There is the political side and then there is the, you know, I don't know, constitutional, let's not all be vaporized by Christmas. You know, there's that kind of side too. All right, more in just a second.

And we popped up in the Norwegian sea, which we don't usually pop up in because it makes the Russians very nervous. And we don't pop up in the sea and be like, hey, just want to let you know, you got 20 nukes sitting right here. That would be like them just popping up off the coast of Florida. Not necessarily a good idea. Does the president even know that that happened? Who on his team authorized this?

And what is, who are they? What do they believe in about war? Who, who's doing this? This is why I say it is, it's a two, a two pong problem for America. The Democrats are struggling, what are we going to do? What are we going to do? And the Republicans, well, if you're looking at it as a system and a constitutional problem, there's no question the 25th Amendment should be invoked.

but then you have the political side of that. What will that do to the political race? I mean, you put somebody in, they could beat Donald Trump, although if you look at what's happening in France right now, I don't know, the world is starting to turn the other direction and say enough of this stuff, but we'll see. By the way, also dozens of migrants. Do you remember the migrants,

Stu, that came across the border and then like stomped on our National Guard and broke through the gates and the fences. Yeah. Yeah, they were released. Oh, good. You know, yeah, so they're here. They were released in America, of course.

Okay. By the way, also, looks like we're on condition Charlie, which we haven't seen in almost two decades, which is, you know, a long time. So the two people in charge of this are Barack Obama and Ron Clayne, the former chief of staff of Joe Biden for the first two years. So they huddled, and they actually, talk to Joe. I don't know whether it was on a Zoom or in New York. Obama was in New York at a fundraiser, and so was Biden. But it's really tamped out. And both Claim and Obama, and this is what my tweet was, I've decided that it's open. So when I say that, what does that mean? It means that that two most powerful men in the Democratic Party right now, they are the two most powerful people have said to Biden, you can't win.

You cannot beat Trump, and he's the devil, he's evil. So if you don't get out, you are helping evil. Hang on just a second. Hang on just a second. I don't think that that, I don't think that would face Joe Biden. He knows that. He's got a son. Anyway, this reminds me of Nixon, where the tables turned on Nixon and he lost the support of key members of the Senate. They walked in and said, you got to go. You got to go.

Now, are they going to offer any carrot or stick if he doesn't go? Well, that's an excellent analysis, Beck. You got a lot of smart as the last talk. I was just worried about it. But it is. It's kind of much older. very, very similar. So the Nixon people were telling the American public,

oh, he's not going anywhere. This is just, yeah, he made a couple of mistakes, but, you know, he's a great president, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. But behind the scenes, the Republicans are saying, hey, if you don't get out, they're going to arrest you. They're going to arrest you. They're going to charge you with crimes. And that's why Nixon went to the helicopter and waved everybody.

Now it's being presented by. If you don't get out, you're going to go down in history as a villain, because Trump is going to win. And it's going to be all your fault, 100%. Now, Biden, as you rightly pointed out, he's not able to, he's not capable anymore of actually digesting that. So it's his wife that's making all the calls. So they go to Camp David over the week.

and there's still there. I think their helicopter shows up in about 20 minutes. All right. And she is going, no way. No way we're leaving. We're fighting this to the end. Jill Biden. Joe Biden is sitting there eating his sugar frosted flakes.

I didn't have anything to do with this. So the fight now is between the party elders and Jill Biden, who's digging it in and saying, No, no, Joe does everything I tell him to do, and he's not going to leave because we think we can overcome this. Now, let me give you the reason that they're not going to overcome it, okay, that the Bidens will leave, and they may will leave very quickly, by the way. They're trying to figure out now that Democrats when to make this announcement, all right? They got to obviously get the Bidons on board.

But they also have got to go to some kind of plan B, right? So we're going to go to the convention with these people. They don't have that yet. Okay. Well, how do they do that and say they respect democracy? I mean, there's no way to do that. No, no, yes, there is. Oh, absolutely there is.

Oh, well, there's the super delegates. Yeah. All Biden does do is say, I'm retiring for health reasons, which you're going to see. And I'm going to give my delegates to whomever the party wants. and then Biden will be totally out of it, and they'll tell him, give the delegates to Kamala, to Newsom, to Whitmer, whatever. And it's not that complicated. LBJ did it, and it's ironic because he did it,

and then the convention was in Chicago, and all hell broke loose in 68. Well, where's the Democratic convention this year? Chicago, and all hell is going to break loose. You're glad. All the anarchists and the pro-Hamas people are going to be there. Okay? Okay, so the reason that this is, in my opinion, but it's more than an opinion, incontrovertible, is that Biden's support was thin to begin with.

He doesn't have a core support. It's all hate Trump support. Yes. Okay? And so that there aren't many Democrats, if you believe, the CBS poll, that care if you're, if you're, you're not. if Biden's the nominee. They don't have an emotional investment in Biden.

They just want to see Trump lose. That's huge. So he doesn't have a cadre of people outside of Jill and maybe Hunter, I don't know. But he doesn't have that. He doesn't have Congress. I mean, the Congress people are running around

undermining the hell out of him. And his own people. You saw Jamie Raskin do that. My God. So he doesn't have a core support in Congress or among the folks. They say

they raised a lot of money from the debate. I'm suspect, but I don't think you're going to raise a lot of money going forward. Right? Okay. So, Joe, so Bill, who who do you think is most likely to replace him? I don't know, but I will tell you who wants it.

So Kamala wants it. Kamla's not going to go quietly into the night. And she'll play the race card. Okay? Gender and race card, that's what she's got. She'll play it. Newsom,

I understand, just ordered hair products a lot more. Right. He obviously wants it. Whitmer and Michigan wants it. All right. So those are three right there. Now, they would

like... What about Big Mike? What about Big Mike? What about Big Mike? Big Mike. Who's Big Mike? That would be Michelle Obama. Be Michelle Obama, Big Mike. I'm sorry, Beck.

I didn't get the Big Mike reference. Yeah, well. It is, I have never in my 50-year careers in journalism seen any famous person locked down like Michelle Obama. you can't get a whisper out of that anywhere. So obviously that would be the savior, right? Yeah. But there isn't any indication one way or the other that she wants to do it. And those of us who know Michelle Obama, and I know a little bit,

she is a very strong woman. Barack Obama is not going to go in there and go, hey, Michelle, you're running. No. No, no, no. You don't say that to Big Mike. Listen, let me ask you, let me ask you, Bill. Let's not talk politics. Let's talk security of the country.

First, who's running the country right now? And go ahead. The three guys there in the White House, the cheapest step, the national security, guy that's the Irish guy. Yeah, yeah, look up, look at this. This is what we voted for. The Irish guy. Right. I'm more so. Jake Sullivan, thank you very much, everybody. And his counsels. But it is a triumvirate in the White House. Nobody ever heard of these

people. They get no pub. Probably once in a while, I'll go out, but not often. And there's a alert, by the way, a very serious alert on U.S. bases overseas and embassies of about a terror. Very serious. So we have an incapacitated president. Go ahead. You're right. We have an incapacitated president.

What the heck? You know, who ordered our nuclear sub to surface in the Norwegian Sea this weekend to send a message? I mean, and it's kind of important to know who's actually running the show there. because we're on the verge of war if we're stupid. And I can't gauge who's actually making the decisions. Should the president step down from the presidency? Yeah, that would be Sullivan, okay? Look, this is a very, very chaotic White House.

You know, I got a book coming up confronting the presidents where we evaluate every president. And I sent that to you, but I'm going to hire someone to read it to you. I'm going to pay somebody to follow you around and read you this book because it's unbelievable about the difference in some presidents. And Biden's the second worst president in our history. And Trump exaggerates saying he's the worst. Nobody's worse in James Buchanan, who actually lit the fuse of the civil war. but Biden is second. And it is so, to me, because I do know what's happening on a day-to-day basis in that White House, this man, there are three out of five days, and Axios has about 50% of this right today.

He's not even in the Oval Office. He didn't even make it down from the residents. That's how incapacitated he is. And Jill Biden makes that call. If you look at his schedule and on the no spin news, my TV broadcasts, we report it every day, most of the time he has nothing on his schedule but a fundraiser where he reads a telepromp. That's it. He doesn't do anything.

And everybody in his administration knows this, which is why, after the debate catastrophe, it's just unbelievably shocking that they won't tell the truth. truth to the American public. The Democratic Party will not tell the truth. This has been going on for a year. It just happened. Okay. Last question. I've got to get this in. Is this, is this better or worse for Donald Trump if Biden leaves? Does it change it enough to to change the game and people will just then say, well, I'm just going to go with somebody new? Trump would defeat Joe Biden now, no question. That's number one.

No question. Right. He beats Biden. If Biden, when Biden, steps aside, if it's Michelle Obama, that's over. Formidable for Trump. That's trouble. Anyone else he can be fairly handling at this point. Because remember, Trump.

got 72 million votes in 2020. I estimate the most he could lose on the 72 million would be 10%. That brings him out of 65 million. Biden's going to get nowhere near that. We lost him. Gosh darn it. Hello, America. Welcome to the Glenn Beck program. Well, Scotis is releasing the last of the court cases. This will be the Trump immunity. It's probably the biggest one we're waiting for. But a lot of things have happened last week when it comes to the Supreme Court. We have Senator Eric Schmidt on with us.

Now, he used to be the Attorney General of Missouri, and he's the guy who filed the case. case against the White House and social media, but I'm not sure exactly what happened. It didn't look good when Scotus ruled on it, but there's some, I don't know, there is some good news, I guess, from it. And also, now that Eric is a senator, will the Senate or Congress remedy what Scotis couldn't do with its ruling last week? That, Alan Dershowitz on in about half an hour to tell us about the Trump order that has yet to come out, but will he be held with immunity? We'll see. Alan Dershowitz will comment on that first Senator Eric Schmidt in 60 seconds.

If we have one, it's real estate agentsitrust.com. Director of relative of John Jacob Jingleheimer Smith, as we found out on an episode earlier, Senator Eric Schmidt from Missouri is with us. Eric, what happened with SCOTUS last week? Well, they planted essentially on the Missouri v. Biden, which became the Murphy v. Missouri lawsuit.

that made it in Supreme Court. And essentially what was a, what we, the lower court had said was an Orwellian vast censorship enterprise made its way to the court. And what the court essentially did was they kicked it back to the lower court because they said the plaintiffs couldn't prove standing, meaning in Justice Barrett wrote this part that you would have to show that this was going to continue into the future. So take that for what it is. They certainly didn't say that this didn't happen, Glenn.

And I think, like, if you're really, if you're looking for what this case truly represents in a broader context, you got to go back in time into May 22 when we filed it, which was before Elon Musk bought Twitter. It was before the Twitter files. It's before we really started to learn the extent of all of the censorship. And when I filed it, we had some idea, because you had at the time, Jin Saki standing at the podium, gleefully saying, we're flagging this stuff. You know, so I think it's important to remember where we were at, and it exposed all of this. I also think what it does too, Glenn, is there needs to be, in addition to just saying, the court saying you can't do this anymore, there need to actually be real damages here. And so that, I think, is a good segue into what we should do next in legislation that I have filed,

which is twofold. So one, on the social media companies themselves, if they're engaged in this kind of activity, Because under Section 230, the legal protections they were given them to the 1996 Telecommunications Act, essentially what Congress said is, okay, Internet, we're going to be an open platform. Therefore, we're not going to hold you the same standard, legal standard of, you know, sort of you can get sued for libel or, you know, you can get sued for any of the things that people might be able to sue CBS News or a traditional publisher for. So they get this blanket protection because they're just supposed to be kind of an open source

platform, that's not really what's happening right now, right? So if they're found to be, if someone sues, if Glenn Beck were to sue or something, and say, you know, this was, you know, you are censoring because of the viewpoint discrimination or some sort of thing like that, that you lose your Section 230 protections. So they got to choose. Do they want to be a publisher, or do they want to be a open platform? The second piece, and I actually think it's maybe perhaps the most important piece for the things that you and I care about the most, which is the government's role in all this, is that you provide a private right of action. So you can sue an individual government actor for violating your First Amendment rights. I think that changes the incentive structure

for these bureaucrats who right now think they can just sort of get away with this by labeling everything misinformation or misinformation. So if they have something on the line themselves, it's a culture change. And that's what I'm going to be working on moving forward here. do you think you have enough support or will in the next season of Congress and the Senate? Yeah, I think we have to take the majority, obviously. But I do think this stuff has been exposed. I was actually thinking about you last week. And so it's good that I'm on the show.

I was thinking about when I think when it may have been the first time I met you, it was at an AG event. And you had that compass from Washington. right? And it had worn, I remember getting to hold it in my hand, and it's sort of, you know, his thumb was on it as he's surveying property in, in Virginia and kind of knowing north from south. I think what's happened in the last week, if you tie it into this debate that happened last week, I think that in the largest context, when people look back, let's say 20, 30, 40, 50 years from now, I think what's happened in the last year or two, and COVID was the sort of, of harbinger of all this. All of the lies have been exposed now, right? Like these are the same people who are now shocked, you know, Biden needs to be replaced.

These are the same people who have lied to you about these aren't political prosecutions. The same people that lie to you about COVID, the same people who've lied time and time again who tell you the economy is just fine. And that look at the numbers. They're great. And you shouldn't believe you're lying on what's happening. in your own life. They're the same people who lied about the Hunter Biden laptop theory.

So this kind of call it, you know, administrative state, deep state, whatever you want to call it, there are people so invested, Glenn, in Biden remaining so they can keep doing what they want to do without any accountability. And I think that is a call to action. I think that the Missouri versus Biden takes help expose it. It's not the only thing, but it was part of it. We're turning the corner. If I'm being optimistic, if I'm holding on to Washington's compass, I think that I think,

that's the fight that's the fight for us now moving forward all right so tell me about a couple of other things the supreme court um has downgraded the insurrection now to trespassing can you go into that ruling uh which is uh fisher versus the u.s yeah i mean look they i think the takeaway here is that the government was overzealous with all of this right and when you're dealing with criminal prosecutions, you're supposed to have, you know, the government isn't supposed to get the benefit of the doubt on a lot of this stuff, which is why, again, I went up to Manhattan and saw that trial, the Alvin Bragg Soviet-style show trial, which is why that case, I think, is so riddled with reversible error, the judge actually, and Supreme Court ruled on something

else a couple weeks earlier saying, you know, you actually have to have a universal agreement among the jury of what the actual crime is. Right. This seems like a very basic civil protection for people if you're going to have your liberty taken away from you, right? Like the jury actually has to agree what the crime is. And Judge Bouchon said you don't have to do that. And so that, in addition,

and not allowing testimony from somebody who was going to say from the FEC that this is not even a, you know, the underlying crime, I guess that you're alleging isn't even really a crime. So I think that that was sort of an important protection. Of course, I'll never forget coming on your show talking about the Chevron case. And you came in with some like Barry White talking about Chevron when we were. Well, I was going to get to that here in a second. Yeah. Because the Chevron deference is, I mean, this is honestly, that's, it's, I mean, it's constitutional porn.

It really is. You're, and they have, they have overturned. the Chevron doctrine, not for the past, but for anything future, which does what? Talk to me. So this is a big one. So we talk about turning the corner in what this can all mean, right, moving forward. So for a very long time, what courts have been able to do through Chevron deference is that if they claim something ambiguous, if there's something ambiguous and some agency. Yeah.

Go ahead. Keep talking. Keep talking. Keep talking. There's some agency, Glenn. Oh, yeah. Ding dong. Ding dong. That has an interpretation that they think is, quote unquote, reasonable.

That's it. And so we did sort of an analysis. The vast majority of these calls then when they were being, you know, if anybody was being challenged, the government won, the agency one, the bureaucrat that you never heard of, won. And so even though the Congress never actually said this is what we want to have happened. So it's a very important piece of. turning power back to the Article 1 branch, you know, where people are elected,

um, and saying we're not going to give this sort of deference to these agencies anymore. Now, it doesn't completely go away. So essentially there were not to get too nerdy on this stuff. It's probably something like what's referred to as Skidmore, which is they can have an opinion about it, but ultimately the court isn't going to bend over backwards, um, and agree with the agency just because they're the quote unquote experts. But this also does on I had an op-ed, last week right when this came out because we were hoping that this would happen. The onus, I think, on Congress now to actually do something. And there's a couple, there's three things I think we should do.

The first is, I think we should codify saying still with these rules, if you're going to propose a new rule, pull back three first, I think that would be an important first step, or maybe five or ten or two, whatever your number is, but just sort of change the culture. The second piece is standard of review. What is that? It means that there's no deference at all. We don't even really care.

It's totally up to the courts to decide now. Is this what congressional intent was? The agencies are sort of cut out of this. They are still executing the law. They still have a role. But then, you know, opining over things that they created and then deciding that that's what's going to be moving forward. That has to end entirely.

Thirdly, the Raines Act reform we could put into place, which is to say, if you think it's such a good idea, this rule that you're proposing Congress has to vote on. Right? So if you want to ban it. and gas stoves because you think it falls under some statute that nobody ever intended for that to mean, think Congress should vote on it, right? We should have to vote on it. And then you can judge us by our votes. I think that would be a transformative kind of reform. Do you think there's growing momentum for it? I think that this decision now, because it puts it more squarely, we have to, we have to be more prescriptive

in how we write statutes, which is a good thing. There's going to be a lot more discussion now. So I'm sort of helping lead a working group in the Senate, those other show favorites, I'm sure Mike Lee, others will be involved in this and kind of figuring out what we should do moving forward to reign in the administrative state. Because this has given us an opening now, for sure. Let me go to Stu real quick. Do we have a decision on the immunity for Donald Trump? Not yet. We have three decisions today. The only one we've had is probably the most boring one, which is the corner post decision, which is about a statute of limitations on challenging agency action. It's actually another good thing for fighting in the administrative state, but it is not the sexy decision.

We still have the net choice decision, which is about the social media networks, and then, of course, the Trump immunity is still coming. And, Eric, what is the social media network one about? That's about they can't take you off, right? They, what is it, Stu? I don't remember. They're trying to say basically, can social media companies remove posts based on the content? a couple of states, Florida and Texas, say, hey, you know, you can't just, you know, delete comments because you don't like the content. Social media company is saying, well, it's our site so we can do whatever we want with those. That's what's going to be decided here.

There's two laws in Florida and Texas. It could be a split decision to it. It doesn't necessarily have to go the same way for both. And Eric, doesn't that go back to you're a platform or you're a publisher? Yeah, right. But so far, there's not been anything that's reeled them in, right? they kind of just get to do this stuff and rely on the terms and conditions of their site. But actually, what was also interesting about the Missouri versus Biden lawsuit is

Murphy versus Missouri is what it ends up being is the government was pressuring them to change their terms of service. Right. Right. And they were, they were, and they did. And they did. And so I think that I don't know how that case is going to go. I've heard skepticism that the court will side with the states on that.

I don't know how that'll play out. but I do think that getting at the most important thing we can do is get at the government's role in influencing what these social media companies can do. They are private enterprises. However, they do live by these protections. And I think that you either got to decide, are you going to be a platform or a publisher? And it doesn't matter to me, but you can't have your cake and eat it too. Great. I totally agree.

Kagan is right in this opinion, Glenn. so we're still going through it, but, you know, typically a Kagan opinion is not necessarily going to be the way the conservatives wanted to go. Right. Okay. So do you mind holding on Senator just for one minute? Do you have time? Okay. Senator Eric Schmidt is with us. I just want to get an idea if maybe the senator can explain to us what this Trump immunity case really means because it's still coming down. kind of unfair, because I don't know how much you're up on the immunity case that's in front of the Supreme Court. We're expecting word on that at any time. Can you tell me, what we're looking for there and what it means? Sure. And again, I'm not dug into this case as probably as closely as I should comment as much as I have. But I did listen to some of the oral arguments. Actually, my former Solicitor General Missouri, John Sauer, argued this case. And John's a brilliant guy, clerk for Scalia. So I think there's a reason why

this is the last case or one of the last cases they're going to decide because it's a very difficult case for the court and one that they would probably prefer not to have to engage on, but because Jack Smith's focus on all this stuff. They're going to have to. And it centers around there's never been a case. They've never actually had to decide this issue about whether or not a president is immune from criminal prosecution from actions taken while he's in office, right?

And so that's really what this centers on is Jack Smith's trying to sort of bootstrap anything President Trump did during January 6th into some sort of criminal prosecution. And I think what the course is, I don't know what they're going to do. My guess is they're going to have some sort of an opinion that sets some sort of framework for presidential immunity. It may not be entire, every act is immune. But I think they ought to err on that side of it because what the founders were really worried about when they were talking about this issue, if you read the federal papers or, you know, those documents surrounding the Constitution. They actually were worried about weaponization of local prosecutors against the president to sort of tie up the president in engaging in his official duties.

So, you know, if that is if that's how, if that's their worldview, Glenn, I think they're going to be very deferential to the idea that presidents to be president have to make really difficult decisions. Or by the way, can't engage in political speech, which is. ultimately what this case is really all about. There's a bunch of reasons why Jack Smith's case is flawed. But I do think the court's going to settle on some idea that, of course, presidents are immune from criminal prosecution based on the actions of when they're in office. Eric, thank you so much. then it should go through the regular constitutional process. You cannot have a president prosecuted for actions while he's in the White House, in my opinion. And I don't mean, you know, if he's murdering somebody, impeach him and try him. but if he is doing something in his official actions, I don't think you can put him in jail. I mean, I'd love to do, you know, jail time for some of these criminals that have been in office. However, as long as it's official actions, you can't. Taking bribes.

Big news and riots coming out of France this weekend. We haven't even had a chance to talk about that, but we will. But in Paris right now is Alan Dershowitz. He's getting ready to get up on stage and speak.

But we wanted to take just a couple of minutes. the decision on Trump immunity, or actually it's presidential immunity, came down. And I think it's a win for the Republic. I think that's the way I would have ruled. It was 9-3. Alan, any thoughts on it and what it says? I'm in Paris speaking to you from the place of riots and demonstrations. I'm not part of that. But I predicted exactly this decision in my book at Trump. I said that neither side would have a complete victory. and that the Supreme Court would rule 6 to 3 that if it's well within the authority of the president, he has immunity, but if it's outside the authority, and now the question is,

which is which and does it have to go back to the trial court to determine whether the indictment alleges things that are covered by immunity, whether it covers things that are not covered by immunity. So this is the first step in what will be a multi-step process, and it probably means that there won't be a trial before the election. Right. So that's a win for Donald Trump. But is this a win for the Republic? Because I don't, we can't have one of the branches going after the other branch.

And then we also can't have people dragging the president into the, into the courtroom for everything that he does. He's got to have immunity on official stuff, right? But where's the, do you agree with this line? Yeah, I agree with the line in general, but I think it's going to be hard to implement in practice because everything the president does, he does as president. That's very hard to separate out private acts from public acts. But, you know, for example, the president orders the targeted assassination of Soleimani. Surely he has to be immune for any prosecution to that.

But what if the president, you know, orders troops to have a coup d'etat? and keep him in office hypothetically. He probably shouldn't get immunity for that. So I do think that this seems like the right line. And now the problem is it's going to be implemented by the lower courts and the lower courts of the District of Columbia are completely biased against Trump. So it may come back to the Supreme Court. This may not be the last word from SCOTUS.

Any thoughts before we let you go? So I know you have to get to the stage. Any thoughts at all on what should be happening? with the president on stepping down. I don't know how you could say he should step down from the campaign and not as president. What's the right thing to do? What I worry about is the alternative. Look, there's no question that Biden, he itself admitted he has slowed down. He's, you know, less, able than he was. The question is, what's the alternative? If he does step down, the Democrats, may nominate some radical, progressive person who will be terrible for the country,

terrible for peace in the Middle East. We may see, you know, an attempt to try to get real radicals as president and vice president. So sometimes the devil you know is better than the devil you don't. And we'll see what the Democrats do. if they were to nominate some moderate person, that might be good. But if they use this as an excuse to let the progressive wing of the party take over. Alan Dershowitz, thank you very much. Stay safe. Always my pleasure. Thank you.

All right. You bet bombing. Alan Dershowitz. That's an interesting thing coming from Alan Dershowitz, isn't it? Yeah, for sure. I mean, the whole very interesting day here. And I think a very good one for Donald Trump. I mean, this ruling going through it, is I think exactly what he would want here. It doesn't give him, you know, full immunity on everything he did while he was in office. It, it, and that would be, I think, bad for the country, right? Like if he had this ability to have complete immunity and any president to have complete

immunity on anything they did, it would be completely ridiculous. But what they do is. Again, that's what the impeachment process is for first. Right. And also Trump's, Trump's lawyers basically argued this. They even said we wouldn't have the right to murder a bunch of people for fun, right? We're talking about official acts. Now, what the court is saying is we have to, first of all, there's a presumptive immunity for a president when dealing with these situations.

So you're going to start off with the idea, okay, there is immunity because he was president. Then there has to be some sort of determination process between whether it's an official act or an unofficial act. So they send it back to the courts to say, you guys got to figure this out. are these official acts or not. You rushed to this so much. You never even took the time to figure out whether these were official acts or not. There's some sort of process there,

which, by the way, the court notes, we don't know what it is. There is no actually official process to figure out whether these are official acts or not. So this is a maze of legal rulings and challenges and the bottom line to all this is basically, I could be wrong on this, Glenn. I will admit if I am,

but like to me, this basically kills the possibility of either of these January 6th cases coming before this election. Like, it goes from unlikely to impossible with this ruling. Well, if president here, let me make a prediction. If the president loses, President Trump loses this election, these cases will just disappear. If the president wins this election, they'll fight it tooth and nail and they'll drag him all the way through. But, you know, I think people are tired of all of this stuff myself. You know, the last part of the debate when they were going back and forth and, you know,

Joe Biden was making fun of Donald Trump's weight. I mean, was he really actually doing a fat joke there? I mean, I couldn't believe it. I just wanted, I just, and finally Trump did say, let's stop acting like children here. I think people just, you know, their lives are in enough turmoil. They'd like somebody to pay attention to them, please. I mean, look, yeah, I think that's right. And this is a, it's an amazing day.

I mean, if you stop for a second and go back a year, right? Six months. There was a possibility of four cases coming up against Donald Trump that can go up to 91 charges against him. And we had no idea where this is going. One of them has gone through, 34 convictions, but we've seen the results of that, has not moved the election at all. Everyone saw that as the weakest one. and it's going to be overturned anyway. It's nonsense, you know, in my view.

That leaves you with the two January 6th, which on the consequences of them, regardless of what you're feeling is, those were the most impactful. If you were to get convicted on those charges, that could have been impactful on the election, even though I think he was going, obviously the government was overreaching on all this stuff. Well, both of those are dead before this election now. The only thing. And the Fannie Bryce or whatever name.

Fannie Willis. Fannie Willis. her, I'd much rather have Fannie Bryce to it, but she is, that thing is pretty much dead. I mean, it's not, but. I think that's dead, especially with this ruling. I don't think, I mean, I think it's dead. You know, we will see, it could still wind through. They can find their outs. We all know that. But I think it was dead anyway. Most likely now I think it's dead, dead, dead. And then you have the documents case, which again is, you know, keeping documents to me is the lowest. of consequences in this. But still, like, you know, he had trouble there, but it looks like there's no question that's going to be pushed past November as well. So we're kind of at that point that the whole, hey, this is going to be an election about legal charges against Donald Trump is over.

I mean, whatever consequence has occurred is what we're going to see. This is it. There's no more moving this election on charges by Democrats. I mean, Trump had already won. the back and forth on this by getting it to the Supreme Court and having it take this long. Like, just if they got a delay and you got a horrible ruling, it still would have been a win for Trump because of the way this played out. But this is much better than that option.

Like this is, for him, this is going to wind around the courts for, I mean, there's no chance of this happening before November now. And it's the right thing, too. It's not just about Donald Trump. This is the right thing to do for the republic. quickly your thoughts on on bill o'Reilly and Tucker Carlson both coming out seeing they have inside sources it's over that's interesting i mean i read a lot of the reporting this weekend the Biden insiders did everything they could to portray the opposite including getting tweets from bill Clinton including getting tweets from Barack Obama leaks all over the place

that they had had a meeting, that they had made the decision to stay in, that the Biden family, including Hunter, which is hilarious. Like, well, the crack addict say to say in, so we're staying in. You know, really funny thing to promote. Right. And there were some cracks like Jamie Raskin came out on one of the Sunday shows and was like, you know, there really is a conversation here to be had. Again, you know, prominent Democrats saying that that's a lawmaker.

They're not out saying definitely. So I was surprised when I saw Bill's take on that because I don't think it's at all impossible, but there is a process to try to get through this if you're Biden. And step one was get through that weekend. We are going to have an incredible movie at some point in the next 10 years just talking about the internal conversations that went on and the efforts to push him out. to keep him going, right? Like, the next couple of weeks are fascinating.

And if you start with the first couple of days, you've got to get through that weekend somehow. Then what you need to do when you're in those conversations is convince the donors, convince the lawmakers, just give me time to get a couple of weeks of polls. So I can show you that this wasn't as big an impact. You've got to get to those polls and then hope the polls don't destroy you. Now, what has been released so far has not been positive, but it has not been destructive to his campaign. Like if these polls so far were reality, which I think you can have questions on, but if they were reality, he can make an argument, we're in the same position we were last week, or maybe slightly worse.

And if you lose two or three points over something like that, you can fairly make the argument that nothing's really changed. Everybody has blips and campaigns. It's not that big a deal. If he can get through this without dropping to sub 30 approval rating, right? if he can stay at 35 to 38 to 40 in that range, you know, I think he can hold on. Again, we're about, our audience this week, Glenn, we have two days at the end of the week that most people have off July 4th and July 5th. You have three days here.

It's a limited week. People are going to go on vacation. A lot of people are going to forget about the news. Yeah, I think they'll have, I know I will have conversations at my, you know, my July 4th celebrations about the election. I don't know. I think most people will, but they'll be talking about it. But if you can get through this next couple of weeks, all of a sudden, you first of all,

run the clock down. And secondly, you are in a position where, you know, tensions, emotions start to fade. And people are like, well, he has no opportunities really to make statements and try to fix this. Well, he can go out on script when he's feeling good between 10 and 4 and just not, if he can just not fall down on stage and not. show weakness. You know, he's got a lot of people around him, Glenn. People, you know, the Anthony Blinkins of the world, the Jake Sullivan's of the world, these people, the real hardcore Biden loyalists have nothing else. They don't have anything if Biden steps down in Kamala Harris is president or Gavin Newsom as president. Their jobs are dependent on loyalty to Joe

Biden. So all the people around him are fighting really hard to keep him in power. Will that work? I mean, I don't know. There's a lot of pressure against it. And both Tucker and Bill seem to have inside information indicating the opposite. But I don't think it's a definite that he's dropping out. I mean, you can look at the betting markets that are reflecting this right now, seeing between a 60 and 70% chance he holds on. So, I mean, you can make a lot of money if you do have that inside information. Let me just say, big Mike. 2024. Let's move on. No.

I forbid it. Let me, yeah, $3,000 is forbidding it too. Have you even told your wife that you bet that? Oh, God, no. I mean, she's, yeah. Because, you know why? I was supposed to win, that's why. It was supposed to be a nice, the income comes in.

Maybe we have a nice dinner. I mean, she's probably going to use most. A nice dinner, you should have, well, at these prices. No, you're right. Yeah. You go to McDonald's maybe twice. The one good thing about this bet, Glenn, is by the time I have to pay it, inflation's going to knock out the value that currency so much. It's not going to make a difference. I know.

So, you know, the problem with America is so deep because there has been an effort to destroy us

that has been going on since the Wilson administration in a country. concerted effort, the progressive movement. The progressive early American progressive movement is wildly anti-human. And then all of its policies, the reason why it always ends the same way is because the policies don't take in humans. They don't take in choice and they don't take in us doing stupid stuff and us being amazing. It's all run by experts. And these experts have long been planning to make sure that we lose our culture.

We have to change our history, our traditions. What was it that Michelle Obama said? We have to change everything that we do. And Barack knows that we are going to have to make sacrifices. We are going to have to change our conversation. We're going to have to change our traditions, our history. we're going to have to move into a different place. Our traditions and history.

And I think we see that now. We have changed our conversations. We're talking about transgender, you know, people coming in with a stripper pull into our libraries. That's a different conversation. And what are we sacrificing? We're going to have to make sacrifices. Yeah, we've sacrificed our children. We've sacrificed our rights.

We've sacrificed our sanity. Our culture has become debased art, music, film. What's true and inspiring is hard to find. Try to find some things that you can watch with your kids. You know, they don't really exist anymore. When Michelle Obama said that around 2007, 2008, the alarm bells went off. And we played that clip from her over and over and over again. And at the time, I was trying to explain how we got here through Woodrow Wilson,

Cloward and Piven. You want to know what's going on in America now? Go watch a show of mine from, I don't know, 2009, where I was bringing up Cloward and Piven. And even the New York Times, I always knew when we were right about something, when everybody attacked. And everybody attacked this poor helpless woman, Francis Fox Piven, who's just a, sweet grand lady. Well, yeah, but she was also teaching at one of the most radical colleges in the country. And she was still preaching Cloward and Piven, the strategy to collapse America

by printing money, inflating it. So money becomes more and more worthless, opening up our borders, and then giving away everything for free. Overwhelmed the system. Oh, that sounds like what we're doing, doesn't it? And when I heard that theory from the 1960s and everybody said, no, that's not happening. I said, oh, it's coming. I started on something else because I knew we had to do the opposite of what Michelle Obama was talking about. We have to remember our history. We have to remember our traditions. So the first thing I started back in 2008, I started collecting artifacts started with the museum collected history now david barton and i have one of the biggest collections of american history in the world and the founding era were third only behind the

national gallery uh no sorry the library of congress and the national archives were first in the world with the uh facts and all of the artifacts and documents from the pilgrims in jamestown we began to collect stories and artifacts that verify the stories and our history and our traditions, that they are true. We started writing books. David Barton and his son, Tim, wrote probably the best history book out there. It's a series. The third one comes out, I think, this fall, called The Story of America.

And I have looked for ways to tell stories in different ways, to teach our history in different ways. I feel it's what I'm best at. And so we've done a couple of things. This summer, we started a new podcast. And it's called the Beck story. It's actually play off words on the backstory of how we got here. And this year, this summer is our first series and it's eight episodes. And it is quickly becoming one of the more powerful tools that we have in our arsenal.

It is quickly, quickly growing. And that's good news. This is this time, these eight episodes focus on why we listen to experts. How did this happen? How did it happen to go from a country that listen to themselves and listen to their God to a country that doesn't listen to themselves, refuses to listen to God, and will only listen to the experts who are wrong almost every time? How'd that happen? You want to understand the Supreme Court? Oh, my gosh.

Listen to, I think it's next. week's episode this coming Saturday. You want to understand what's happening in schools? I'll show you all the way back for the progressive era to today. You'll understand it. You'll understand media? All of it. You'll understand it. Also, I have released my first, it comes out the 27th of July. I have put up for pre-sale my first young adult fiction book. I don't know how this is going to sell. if anybody is going to read it, if you're going to get it for your kids or your grandkids. But I highly recommend it. It's a story I've wanted to tell for a long time, and it's probably a six or eight episode book. It's a series. And it's a dystopian. It's told through storytelling in a way that teens will be excited about and relate to.

and it leaves breadcrumbs for them to get into history. And you will find them, if they're reading this, you will find them going, that can't be true. Is that true? What was that story about? And finding it on their own. So they learn not only our history, but they also learn why truth matters, the search for truth, how it is a personal search for truth, but there is truth.

And that's called chasing embers. again, trying to get into the culture because our culture has been destroyed. We have to bring it back. Then I started something, well, five years ago when I got serious about my painting, I was learning with somebody. She was teaching me. Her name is Brittany Scott. She's an artist, and she doesn't really do lessons, but she did for me because she knew

I was so frustrated with painting. And she taught me, you know, how to apply the brush stroke and the color wheel and everything else that I didn't know. And as I took lessons from her, she would tell me, as I would paint, she'd say, okay, tell me a story. And I'd tell her a story of American history or, you know, something that happened in the past. And when I finished my first, my first painting, it was a landscape. She said that should be the last landscape that you ever paint. You are a storyteller. You should paint stories.

And I realized that she was right. And she started something that we have been a part with my wife and I have been a part of for the last few years, where we have brought some of the best artists in the country. to my ranch where they have learned how to tell a story from not me, but from, you know, one of the guys who was the guy who helped revive Disney with the Little Mermaid and and Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin, how to tell a story because most artists are not telling a story. And a lot of these artists are passionate about the country. But we've lost all of that.

So as these guys were up here, I would tell them stories about, you know, how a pair of glasses saved us from a second American revolution. The, the, how history is wrong, some of the greatest heroes in the American Revolution. I mean, our American fight began with a black patriot. It was saved in the middle by a black patriot. And it came to an end because of a black patriot. How do we not know that? Because we stopped telling their stories. Do you know that the real Lone Ranger, the one that the Lone Ranger was based on,

came from Oklahoma and he was black? So we have put up a show for the very first time. And I hope you come. I hope you come. And I hope rich people come to support these artists. And I hope you come to see. and experience the art. I'm doing an art show at my studios, September 20th and 21st.

It's Friday and Saturday, Mercury Studios, are going to feature about a hundred works of art created by 30 of some of the country's most talented artists and then me. I don't want to put myself in their category. These are these are masters. Thomas Blackshear is, I mean, if I could, if I had unlimited funds and I could just buy paintings all the time, it would be Thomas Blackshare. He's one of, he is probably the Norman Rockwell, maybe, the greatest American illustrator of today. And we have become friends. And I told him about the Lone Ranger. And he said, that can't be true. And he's a black painter. And I said, yeah, it is. And I showed him. some stuff and and he was inspired by it. So he's painting the story of the lone ranger, the true story of the lone ranger. And he has just won the Pre-to-West purchase award. That's the one that they, they purchased to put in their own, you know, a museum. He is, he's just remarkable. Blair

Busswell, one of the sculptures, sculptors at the show. He's done the Super Bowl Hall of Fame. He's done historic stuff all over the country, athletic figures, the sculptures, a lot of them, many of them are here, the best, Blair Buswell. And Jason Rich is another one. All of them have gone to the museum and learned an American story and then are going to tell it. So it is a great thing to a encourage artist to come back and start telling stories. This idea really came home to me when I was over in Europe and I was walking through a church and they didn't have stained glass. It was a very poor church from, you know, I don't know, 12th century. And they didn't have stained glass. So they only had these very high, small windows. But the windows cast light on the walls. And the walls were almost like chalk paintings.

And they told the story of the Bible. And as I was going through, it just dawned on me. couldn't read. So parents would take them to the church and they, because they couldn't read, they could tell the stories through the artwork on the wall. And it was very simple. So what I just wanted to let you know is we're not just sitting around doing this show. And I know you're working hard to do everything that you can, but we put a lot of work into my broadcasts. But we are burning the candle at both ends to be able to do what we feel we can do to save the nation and to save the republic and if these things are something that you would like to be involved with

All right, Stu, we're going to get to the, we're going to get, just give me a quick recap here before I get back into things on the Supreme Court. Okay, three rulings, one called. corner post. This is written by Barrett. It was a 6-3 decision on ideological lines. It was basically about the statute of limitations of challenging an agency action. Sounds really boring.

It isn't the sexiest case, but it is another example of this conservative Supreme Court helping to disassemble the administrative state. It's not as big as the Chevron deference case we got last week. But it is another interesting ruling that helps people. people fight back, companies fight back against the administrative state. So I think overall a good one there. The net choice ruling, which was a big one that was talked about, states, Florida, Texas were the two in this case. Can they prevent social media companies from removing posts based on opinions expressed in them? Now, this has obviously been big because a lot of conservative posts just get deleted. You know, a lot through COVID was a good example of this, where

everything was called misinformation and deleted. This is unlike, this is a different case than the one we had the previous week, which was talking about whether the government can interfere and all of that. But this was just whether they can do this. Can they remove things from their own website? Essentially, it vacated the decisions of the lower courts and said they didn't consider the full scope of the law. They only considered a very minor part of it. So they basically made them go through this again.

I don't think there's a lot of hope for these laws. My opinion is that they're probably going to. lose. They almost were specific about the Texas one saying that one seems to overreach on free speech, but basically they didn't give a final decision on that. And then the last one was Trump versus US, the immunity case, a sixth, by the way, the social media one was unanimous. So all nine on that one. Trump versus US was a six three decision written by Chief Justice Roberts. Can he be prosecuted for actions taken by the president? Basically what they said was essentially president's have immunity over official acts, but not unofficial ones.

However, the courts rushed so much they didn't even try to figure out whether it was official or not. And we don't really have a process to figure that out. So basically, that case, the central one against Donald Trump, is dead, at least as it comes to the 24 election and how that plays out. Fantastic news. Absolutely fantastic news today. We'll have more in just a second.

But, and maybe we should count it that way. But it was a bet that Joe Biden, would he be the nominee? I said he would be the nominee. He would be the person that you'd be voting for in November if you were a Democrat. You said he would be, he would drop out and he'd be replaced by Michelle Obama. So, yes. There's a large middle ground. as we've discussed that if he drops out and it's Kamala Harris or Gavin Newsom, neither of us

win. It's just a push. But I was very confident. You at one point even said maybe you should just give up. Yeah. You know. I was not as confident. No.

It was not as confident. However, after that debate performance, people keep asking me, so are you nervous about your bet with Glenn? And the answer to that is an unequivocal. Yes, I am very nervous about my bet with Glenn for the first time in months. Yes. I am. Right, because he's got to tell his wife. He just made a stupid, stupid bad. But I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't think I'm going to be collecting because I don't know if big Mike's going to be doing it. And actually, I kind of hope, I mean, this is really bad because I don't know who's running the country right now. It's not Joe Biden, but who's running the country. But in a way, I think what's best for the country is Joe Biden to stay in and stay as the candidate. And I say that as somebody who doesn't want the progress. to win. And if we could just, we could just make it through, or if it's Kamala Harris, who, you know,

eventually has to take the reins because he's too senile. But anything else really just changes this and makes it even more unpredictable. Having Kamala Harris or Michelle Obama, I mean, this is the only thing that can happen now where people will believe the results. you know what I mean if it's if Joe Biden loses everybody on both sides will believe the results they'll be like yeah it's Donald Trump but I mean did you see him there

he was in a he had a drool cup last week so well it's one of those and that's all that's all I want to do to get past the the times of violence I'm really concerned about what's going to happen over the next six months with Joe Biden being president

in that I don't think he's competent to do this job. It's not just talk. It's not just Republican talking points. It's not just you don't want Joe Biden to win. It is really concerning that the man we saw on Thursday night is in charge of the nuclear football. We are in serious danger. We have multiple potential world wars on the brink of breaking out. And the guy who is in charge of all of this is only available between 10 and like this is a massive, massive problem for our country. Now, if you look at just November 2024, it's easy to figure out what I want,

which is I want Joe Biden to stay in this race. And his biggest, in every single poll, his biggest problem is not all of the unconstitutional things he's done. It's not his failures in Afghanistan. It's not inflation. It's not the economy. It's not the border. it is his age.

And if you take him out, I can promise you, they're not going to replace him with another 81-year-old. They're going to replace him with somebody who at least solves that one problem. Even if it's Kamala Harris, she at least won't look like she's 81 years old. And that, by any measure, is a more difficult task than defeating Joe Biden. If you're Donald Trump, you know, it's like when you have a quarterback controversy, in football, Glenn, one of the easy ways to look at who should just start at quarterback is to go to the city of the team you're playing and listen to their sports radio and figure

out what they want to happen. If everyone's calling up and saying, well, I want quarterback A to start, you want to start quarterback B, right? Like, whatever your opponents don't want to happen is what you should do. And this is advice I hope the Democrats don't take, because if they listen to, I think, conservatives talking about this, what they're going to say is yes, please leave him in. Please leave Joe Biden in. The fact that it's even a decision at this point is amazing.

I will say on my bet, though, to defend myself in case my wife is listening. On the betting markets right now, who will be the Democratic nominee of 2024? Joe Biden is at 69%. Kamala Harris is at 12. Oh, as we pointed out, I think two weeks ago was like at 91%. 91%. So it's down. Yeah. There's no doubt. He's still, though, the overwhelming favorite to be the nominee. And Michelle Obama is third at 8%. So I mean, I can't, I shouldn't be that nervous yet.

No, for the Republic, yes. Yeah. But, you know, this couldn't happen to a nicer group of people, honestly. Did you see a tractor supply? Do you even know what tractor supply is? Yeah, tractor supply. Great, great store, very, very obviously, red state. And, you know, they've been kind of, I don't know, almost taunting the people that go to tractor supply. Because there's not a lot of blue-haired, one-legged, DEI activists. that you know are are shopping for their tractors uh and their their farm clothes and and

everything um at tractor supply i'm guessing um but they have been poking at their their customer for a while now and some some information has gotten out about how deep they are into the DEI and ESG stuff and didn't go well for them on the stock market uh strangely not not not not at all In fact, all of their DEI stuff that they say, you know, the, we believe in this and this and this. At the bottom of the page, do you know what they link to? Their stock price. Now, why would you do that? When you're doing DEI and ESG and saying how, you know, great you are and compliant you are,

what does the stock have to do with it? I thought that was coming from your soul deep inside. You're just a good, good person. Right, right. Well, their stock price took a nosedive. and they just last weekend or last week just did this press release went out. We work hard living up to our mission and our values every day and represent the values of the communities and customers we serve. Yeah, I don't think the gay pride event that you funded was really, really?

Because I don't think that's red state. Anyway, we've heard from our customers that we have disappointed them. disappointed or stabbed in the back. I'm not sure. We have taken this feedback to heart going forward. We will ensure that our activities and giving tie directly to our business. Also, wait a minute. So you're going, you're going neutral.

That's even better than going the opposite way. You know what I mean? I think going neutral and just saying, we sell tractors and we'll sell tractors to anyone who wants a tractor, you know? We sell feed and, and clothing and everything that you might want if you're living out, you know, with farms. That's what we do and we don't care how you vote. That would be nice.

That would be really nice. Going forward, we'll ensure our activities and giving tie directly to our business. Apparently, Robbie Starbuck unearthed the company's infatuation with DEI, and he just, Just decimate. Did you see this video by any chance to? I did not know. He decimated them. Just took them apart with everything that they have. He said there's a poisonous left wing framework that dismisses merit and instead discriminates based on characteristics such as skin color and sex.

Individuals who qualify for a certain position on merit but don't meet the discriminating entity's goal of being more diverse are passed over in favor of those who meet. constitutionally preferred identitarian standards. So he has been just going after, going after them. And it worked. It worked. So tractor supply is now not going to sponsor any of this stuff. But, you know, their CEO, as he points out, is an absolute radical. So, you know, how did he get there?

Who hired him? Why? I mean, that, that, you can't just change the, uh, the walk. You have to change all of it. You can't just say, oh, we're not, you know what? You got to get rid of the people that were that much of an activist. You know, if you have activists working for you, you're going to end up like Disney. You're just going to.

You know, hey, guys, you can do whatever you want, okay? You can do whatever you want in your own time. Here at Disney, here's what we do. Because here's who we're serving. Yeah, well, we're serving children too. Yeah, you're kind of serving them up on a giant platter at the gay pride parades. So I don't think we're going to be doing any of that here. But, I mean, you can go.

No, no skin off my nose. And if you empower these people, you're going to end up having to reset your company because you're going to be filled with activists. They're all going to be. And what happens when you decide to change? Oh, we got to go with your capitalism thing. Oh, gee, too bad. All of this fits in with a Marxist point of view.

So I wish them luck. I wish them luck. And I hope it's sincere. But I don't know how it is with their CEO. But maybe, maybe. Would it be nice just to go back to a time when, you know, people have their own opinions. And you're like, yeah, I don't really disagree with that guy. But, you know, he seems like a nice guy.

Normy Capitalism. Kind of those days. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Kind of those days. I would love that. I mean, I really did like their statement, though, like I, from tractor supply.

I mean, look, I think there's everything you were just talking about is obviously really terrifying from this company. And I don't know why they would be this way in the first place. But like, it's very rare that companies come out and say, oh, even Bud Light who seemingly overtly changed directions, right? Like you could tell by their actions. they never came out and said, and just so you know, we're totally off the bandwagon. They just kind of did it and hoped you noticed. Like, they actually came out and said, we're abandoning this stuff, which I don't know. I can't remember another company who's done it like that.

I thought that was maybe an interesting moment. It's true, but I'd like to see if this is just, you know, another customer service kind of thing and a campaign ad. You know, we're passionate about being good neighbors in our hometowns because without you, we would not be what we are. Amen to that. It's imperative to us. Our customers hard-earned dollars are taking care of our team members and the communities we all love. As you supported us, we have invested millions of dollars in veteran causes, emergency response, animal shelters, state fairs, rodeos, farmer markets. We have also invested in the future of rural America. We are the largest supporter of FFA and have longstanding relationship with 4H and other educational organizations. All good. We work hard to live up to our mission. And so going, going forward. We will no longer submit data to the human rights campaign. Why was tractor supply doing that in the first place? That's a great question, but again, a specific action. I mean, have you ever heard of a company? No. That gave data to the human rights campaign and then stopped. I can't think of any. No. No. Refocus our team member engagement groups on mentoring, networking,

and supporting the business. Further focus on rural American priorities, including ag education, animal welfare, veterans causes, being a good neighbor and stops. sponsoring non-business activities like pride festivals and voting campaigns. I haven't seen that either, and that's really good. Eliminate all DEI roles and retire our current DEI goals, which are still ensuring a respectful environment. We draw our carbon emission goals and focus on our land and water conservation efforts. Amen.

Amen. So it's good. I'm just, I'm cynical of all these companies. But they're at least showing. that they are listening to you and responding. Now, let's just make sure that they follow through on that, and they are what they say they are going to be.
