The Glenn Beck Program - Huge Wave of Cyberattacks Has Silicon Valley Shaking. Is It Time to Panic? | 10/22/26

Episode Date: October 22, 2026

What is Black October? Glenn breaks down the newest tech term describing the last 10 days, which exposed a major flaw in the software that runs almost every website. What was the security flaw? A back... door that allowed hackers to use cheap AI tools to break in and steal personal data from places like schools and doctors' offices. Glenn breaks down how serious this is with a digital DEFCON alert posture. Glenn reacts to a foreign campaign ad that says grandparents need consent before hugging their grandchildren. The family of Blackfeet Chief John Two Guns White Calf are asking the Washington NFL team to restore his face on the Washington Redskins logo, claiming that they were never asked before it was removed in 2020. Glenn makes a terrifying prediction if Democrats take back control of the House and Senate. Everybody already thinks AI videos are real, but Glenn exposes the other half of that danger: Real things being called AI and fake. Glenn reads an op-ed from a member of his staff that accuses the Democratic Socialists of America of being filled with privileged arts graduates who are dressing up as working-class heroes. Socialists blame capitalism and corporate greed for high grocery prices, but Glenn explains that the government's printing of trillions of new dollars is the real reason. Starting point is 00:00:00 Election Day doesn't clear your calendar for you. It'd be nice if it did. Unfortunately, you still have to go to work. The kids still have to get to someplace and somebody else might get sick or the car won't start. And that super important meeting runs long. None of those things care that this was the day you planned on voting. So don't build a plan that only works if everything goes right. Early voting is available everywhere.
Starting point is 00:00:21 If it's available where you live, find out when it starts. Know where you need to go. Look at your calendar. Pick a day when you can actually get it done. because voting is important enough to treat it like something you intend to do, not something you hope you'll have time to do. Go to go to gopvotes.org right now. Find out when you can vote.
Starting point is 00:00:40 Make your voice heard. It's easier than ever. Get the election reminders. Look up your polling location and pick a date to go vote early. Go to gopvotes.org today. That's gopvotes. Dot org. Do it.
Starting point is 00:00:55 Welcome to the program. There is some breaking news I want to give to you. that is important. And I put together some, a kind of a death con alert, because something is just breaking. It's just happening. And we need to, I think, change our language.
Starting point is 00:02:13 We need to understand things. And I was having a hard time understanding where this breaking news fits into the grand scheme of thing. So give me a second. Just put it up on the chalkboard. I'm going to go over it here in just a second. We have a lot of news to go over today. I mean a ton. Rushka, Russia, Zelensky,
Starting point is 00:02:35 Trump, gosh, the Redskins, the elections, the election, you name it. But we're going to start with some breaking news. We do that in just 60 seconds. First, let me tell you about Mercury 1. You know, most of the time when you give to a charity, you never really get to see what happens next. You trust that somebody somewhere is doing something good with it. And that's fine. But wouldn't be wonderful if you could actually step inside of the work that you help make possible. It's one of the things I'm really excited about with the Mercury One Gala this year. It's more than just a nice evening out. It is happening on Saturday.
Starting point is 00:03:09 It's an opportunity to be part of something that you've helped build over the last 15 years. Think of everything this audience has accomplished through Mercury 1. Disaster relief, rescuing people from horrible, horrible danger. rescuing Christians from the Middle East as they were marked for death, going in and actually rescuing people from the hands of ISIS. You have done that through Mercury One and the Nazarene Fund. And we have a new home in Irving, Texas. All of those missions coming together under one roof,
Starting point is 00:03:43 including our brand new museum, state-of-the-art museum, that will teach American history for generations to come. Tickets for our dinner, our gala, our two, $250 each, and we would love for you to be there. Tanya and I will greet you personally. Love to meet you. Thank you for coming, and thank you for your support at Mercury 1. If you can't make it, you can either get your ticket now at Mercury 1.org,
Starting point is 00:04:07 or you can, of course, just donate whatever you can, Widows Might, at Mercury1.org. Okay, there is a new term the tech world has just come out with. This is a breaking story. And the new term is Black October. Black October is what they're using now to describe the last 10 days. In a normal year, you will get one or two computer security disasters big enough for the evening news. This week, they have arrived almost by the hour. One watchdog on X counted 27 in the last 10 days.
Starting point is 00:04:50 Some online say the swarm of rogue AI agents is behind all of it. The evidence does not show that, at least at my understanding, at my level, yet. Most websites are run on a software called PHP. Roughly 7 out of 10, okay? Think of PHP as plumbing behind the walls. You never see it. It's, you know, in every house, in every neighborhood. Well, this week, we just learned that plumbing, that plumbing, Ph.P, had a hidden back door.
Starting point is 00:05:27 And strangers could walk in and run that house without a key. The news leaked before the fix and burglars came. Cloud Fair, uh, cloud flare, uh, watched, uh, break in attempts go from thousands to millions in hours. The NSA said, patch now or shut everything down. Some governments actually shut down. I'm just hearing about this. You probably are too. Now, who found the flaw?
Starting point is 00:06:02 AI. Good news. Except AI is also the bad guy. Bad guys have the same tools. Okay? You don't run a web server, but your doctor's office does. So does your kid's school.
Starting point is 00:06:19 So does your church. Until the plumbing is fixed, a stranger can walk out with your name, address, and all of your records. Reuters reported that one hacker who turned AI agents loose on more than 1,200 websites has broken into more than a hundred of them, including John Deere. The cost, the researcher estimates, is about, $50 a break-in. Now here's why this is a problem. Burglars used to need a crew, a van, months of casing the neighborhood. Now for 50 bucks he can rent a robot that will jiggle every doorknob on the block while he's asleep. Crowdstrike found more, found four more groups
Starting point is 00:07:08 doing the same exact thing. One hit at least 15 health organizations. and their trick was telling the AI that they've been hired to test security. So the burglar tells the locksmith, it's my house, I locked myself out, and the locksmith opens the door. Now, it isn't on all screens. In France, hackers force the refrigerators in about 700 supermarkets to defrost. The food went into a dumpster. A California education contractor lost personal information on millions of students. and this is where the danger for most of us lives today.
Starting point is 00:07:47 Phone numbers, shopping histories, you know, it'll make a scammer go, hey, this is your pharmacy, and there's a problem with your order, and then you click on that. The question is, is it a swarm? Researchers did find one fleet of AI agents on Chinese cloud grabbing leaked keys, but they didn't find any sign yet that the AI agents are coordinating. More than a thousand robot vacuums in a very big house just bumping into doors until something opens. That's what it looks like so far. Plenty of old-fashioned carelessness as well.
Starting point is 00:08:30 One company that got hit left its master passwords in plain text. It's like leaving your key under the doormat. What's changed now is that. the price. When a burglary cost about $50, no one is too small to rob. So here's what I have put together so we can chart these things. I've put a digit defcon chart down. You know how we go to DefCon one and that means the planes are in the air and we're about to drop bombs. Okay. So I've made it the same. DefCon system, DEFCON 1 is the worse.
Starting point is 00:09:11 But let me show you where we are. DefCon 10, digit DefCon 10 is just, it's background. No, he's nothing to worry about. 8 and 9 is there's one company or two companies that are breached. Not a problem. Number seven is there's a new threat. There's no damage yet, but there's a new threat warning. Six is widespread exposure.
Starting point is 00:09:35 your data has likely been stolen or is likely going to be stolen. DefCon 5 active waves hitting every server. That's bad. That's why I was saying, is this a swarm or not? DefCon 4. Stores, Banks, hospitals are now offline in some places. Three, power, water, phones will be down regionally for days. DefCon 2, national banking or grid integrity in doubt, and DefCon 1 is unplug. System cannot be trusted for anything.
Starting point is 00:10:12 Don't get into your self-driving car. Don't do anything. That's DefCon 1. So, you know, Hugging Face was DefCon 7, warning, new threat, no damage. It was just, we're seeing them start to organize, new threat. This Black October is a Defcon 6. widespread exposure, your data has been or will likely be stolen. That's not good.
Starting point is 00:10:41 We're at the very beginning of this and we're at DefCon 6. So want to let you know it's called Black October. You can look it up for yourself. Jason, any questions? Am I explaining this well enough? We didn't even get a chance to talk about this. This story is just breaking now. It does.
Starting point is 00:11:01 I was interested when you said hugging face is DefCon 7. And at first I was going to say, no, I think it's DefCon 1. But I get what you're saying because it's a warning of what could be a reality coming soon. Because the details of that, I never really went through them
Starting point is 00:11:16 until I saw a documentary on it a couple of days ago. Oh my gosh. If that is the warning, yeah. So I say it's DefCon 7 because there was no damage done. It was just, oh, dear. God, look what it can do.
Starting point is 00:11:33 Capability, yeah. The capability is there. So if it was actually doing things that were hacking into water systems, stores, banks, or anything else, hugging face could go DefCon 1 in a minute, in a minute. But there was no evidence of that. It was just, oh dear, look what this can do. Look what it's doing. But so far, it is only broken in to be able to find answers to something it was looking for.
Starting point is 00:12:01 Would you agree with it now? Yes. And it actually makes me even more worried about some of these, not only of what the capability is, but also what these corporations and AI developers, because what they're going to want going forward to continue doing this work. We already talked about bailouts and giving them some kind of
Starting point is 00:12:23 partnership with the government, which is horrifying to me. So horrifying. But I think that they're both trying to do that. now, Glenn, I also think that they are legitimately scared to death. I think they are. I think it's both. I think it's absolutely both.
Starting point is 00:12:39 They know they're playing with fire. Here's why this one is higher on the scale. First of all, it has broken in and is stealing data. So it's higher because of that widespread exposure. Your data has likely been stolen or will be stolen. Black October, the reason why it's scary is it's $50 per break-in. you can get somebody, I mean, think of the money, just, just think of the money that is flowing around in the, you know, in the NGO world that wants to change the world. Think about what's flowing into the Marxist and the DSA and the, and Antifa and all of the things that are trying to destroy the Western world.
Starting point is 00:13:25 At $50 a break in, you can afford to have a, a swarm, just go out and just cause chaos nonstop. That's what's scary about these agents is now it is so cheap to be able just knock on doors, just knock on doors. See who's home. See if the jiggle the doorkle the doorknob. See if you can get in. You start doing that and you're looking for power. You're looking for light. You're looking for water. You're looking for banking. You're going to find it. You're going to find it. And it's cheap. This is why I have said, and I'm starting to get people to agree with me on this, you know, in the tech world, which is really weird. There's nobody agreed with me.
Starting point is 00:14:10 I used to say this is worse than nuclear weapons. No, where nuclear weapons can vapor up. Uh-huh. Yeah, I know. You know why this is worse? I can't build a nuclear weapon. I have to go to Doc Brown, you know. I'm sure in 2027 that plutonium is on every street corner at every drugstore.
Starting point is 00:14:36 No, it's not. It's not. Okay? I had to go steal it from Libyan terrorists. This is cheap. Anyone can do this. So if you're sitting in an anonymous group and you want to take down Western society, you can do it. That's why this is so incredibly dangerous.
Starting point is 00:15:01 And I have to tell you, we have to have this, Ricky, let's see if we can get this digit defcon printed. Let's put it up on our website so we can chart all of these things. When there is a problem and we hear about another swarm, we hear about another AI thing, let's keep charts of what's going on and let's make sure we're using this system because I'm telling you this thing could accelerate so fast. telling you, I, gosh, I don't want to go here.
Starting point is 00:15:37 2027 could be very bad. 27 could be a very, very bad year. It could, we could have lots and lots of trouble in 2027. I'm going to leave it at that for today. Let's move on. Okay. Now, let me just go into Zelenskyy. And Putin and Trump and what's really happening.
Starting point is 00:16:10 And why is everybody freaking out? Why is everybody freaking out? We're talking to Russia. Oh my gosh. Isn't that what we should be doing? We're trying to stop a war. Shouldn't we be talking to everybody? And look what's happening.
Starting point is 00:16:28 Iran has come to the table this week and they've said, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. We'd like to talk. We'd like to talk. And Trump's like, no, I think so. You know why they're doing that? it's working. Russia, come to the table this week.
Starting point is 00:16:41 We'd like to talk. You know who else came to the table this week? Zelensky. Oh my gosh, Donald Trump is a monster. Yeah. Looks like we're moving towards peace. Now, whether we get there or not is a different story. But I want to talk about that and so much more.
Starting point is 00:16:53 Coming up in just a second. First, let me tell you about chapter. You know, a company, when it triples its staff, you would generally expect for the wait times to get a little shorter. but what happens when the number of people that you help is growing maybe at four times the speed, you still get wait times. That's exactly what's happening at chapter. And they're really frustrated because they want to provide the best service.
Starting point is 00:17:23 And so I've never had a company come to me and say, look, could you just tell people that you're going to have maybe a 10 or 15, maybe 20 minute wait unless you call an off hours. maybe you wait until next month, but just we have tripled the advisor capability. And still, this is taking off so fast. And they just want you to know, they care about you and they don't want you waiting. Okay. They are really, they care about service.
Starting point is 00:17:52 They also care about you and getting it right. There are, I don't know how many Medicare plans. See if it has it here in any of this. It doesn't. I better not say there are a lot of Medicare plans that are now being canceled. And I think they're going to announce this next week. But there's a ton that are not going to be available next year. So if you have a plan, you better check with chapter because you might just be out.
Starting point is 00:18:23 The call is free. It does take about 20 minutes. Dial pound 250. Say the keyword chapter. Pound 250. Say chapter. Act now before you're left overpaying on the wrong coverage for another year. call them now pound 250 keyword chapter save all right 10 seconds station ID
Starting point is 00:18:39 oh my gosh I have so much to talk to you about I want to get to every day it's like Sophie's choice which which stories get on which stories get on the air which ones are going bye bye let me do this one because this one really bothers me can we play the ad from Ireland this is from the government of Ireland about hey you don't have to hug grandma on Grandpa. Listen to this. They open the door. Granny, Grandma. Great to see it.
Starting point is 00:19:22 Right to see it. I'm missing. Great to see it. Great to see it. Oh, wonderful. Not everyone wants a hug, even from the people who love them. Awkward? Maybe. Important? Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:19:38 We hyphen consent.orgie is here to help. We hyphen consent because not everybody wants a hug, even from grandma and grandpa. This is, I got to tell you, I mean, you could, what do you say? You take on, I don't know, unchecked immigration, the rise of sexual violence from the unchecked immigration. Maybe even the threats to the, you know, to the West from radical Islam. No, no, no. Hugs from grandparents much, much more important. It is sick.
Starting point is 00:20:15 And the entire point of this is to tell people, to tell kids, blow off your grandma when she comes in for a hug. To make old people feel horrible about wanting to love on their own grandchildren, this is mind-boggling to me, mind-boggling. We are living in the most collectivist culture. We owe our money, our borders, our culture, everything, to anyone from any country that wants to be there. Yet when it comes to our family, the real collective in your life, you're suddenly a rugged individualist.
Starting point is 00:20:50 Somehow, you know, we owe my shoe to a random person across the globe, but I don't owe my ancestors a hug. Let me tell you something. You owe your elder's love. You owe you are the sum of all of their choices. They are the only reason you exist. And your love means the whole world to them. And it might actually extend their life. There was a study in Canada found people over 65 and older who have had hugs available to them all or most or some of the time,
Starting point is 00:21:26 significantly greater odds of reporting they felt healthy than those who have hugs available to them none of the time. The actual quote is, the availability of hugs was stronger or more reliable associated with self-reported health than any other established associates. And Ireland thinks that they just need somehow or another, they need to teach that you don't get a hug from your grandparents unless you give them a consent. Honor.
Starting point is 00:22:02 Honor your elders. You whiny, self-centered butt face. Honor your elders. I don't care if your grandma is mean and your grandpa stinks. Or they talk too loud. everything they say. You don't have to like them. They earned it. They need it. They love you. Don't be a jerk. What the hell has happened with Ireland? Okay, let me tell you about rapid radios. Remember, you know, when three or four families
Starting point is 00:22:36 would all pile on their cars and they'd head off to vacation together, you'd have a station wang of full of kids, somebody pulling a camper. And one guy insisting you knew a shortcut. Who didn't? That was Jason. The whole operation was held together by hand signals and occasionally frantic honking of horns. Well, I like to bring back the family caravan, but this time with rapid radios,
Starting point is 00:22:58 these are pushed-to-talk radios that use nationwide LTE networks. So you can talk to everybody in the group with the push of a button. You know, even when you're miles apart, imagine being able to tell the other cars that you're stopping for gas or that somebody missed an exit or the guy who knows the shortcut has been relieved of his navigational duties. They're rugged, they're waterproof, they're ready to use right outside of the box.
Starting point is 00:23:21 I have to tell you, Rapid Radio went off this weekend because, you know, my nephew was hunting at the ranch. He got a huge buck. Rapid Radio's going off. Hey, I need help up here. RapidRadios.com. You'll get up to 60% off free shipping
Starting point is 00:23:36 and use the promo code Beckett an extra 5% off. 65% off Rapid Radio's.com. Torch just got a lot more social. There are new ways to connect. Follow and build your community. Start connecting with us and making more friends at glenbeck.com slash torch. I don't know if you've seen the news about the Redskins. The commanders.
Starting point is 00:24:24 Hi, we're the commanders. I command you to watch our football team. Shut up, commanders. Ugh. They will always be and always should be the Washington Redskins. But I want to give you an update on this. The family of a blackfeet chief is asking for his face back. His name was John Two Guns Whitecalf.
Starting point is 00:24:53 For 50 years, he was the face on the side of every Washington Redskins helmet. Okay? And then in 2020, Oh, we got to get that face on the helmet. It's so horrible about white people to do this. It's so horrible. Shut up. Okay.
Starting point is 00:25:18 So now his descendants have hired a lawyer and they're going public. They want the name back. They want the logo back. They want the stadium named after their grandfather. And they're asking for a meeting with Donald Trump and believe me, he will take that meeting.
Starting point is 00:25:35 Okay. So the guy who leads the estate, Kenneth Conway, Put it this way. They have tried to erase us. Now listen to this. They tried to erase us like we didn't exist anymore. Another descendant said, and this I think is one of the most damning things of all.
Starting point is 00:25:59 Nobody ever asked the family. Wait, nobody asked the family. What do you mean? Nobody asked the family. You know, most people don't even know who that man on the helmet was. Most Americans saw him every Sunday, half a century, never knew he was a real guy. He was born in 1872. Wait till you hear this story, man.
Starting point is 00:26:22 This is going to, oh, you do-gooding liberal, backstabbing American hating, spineless weasels. So the guy's born in 1872 on Blackfeetland in Montana. Now, his world is ending at that time. Buffalo were disappearing. They weren't disappearing. White men were killing the buffalo. The reservation was shrinking.
Starting point is 00:26:55 And he spent his life doing the hardest thing a leader could do in a world like that. He went to Washington and spoke for his people. He then stood at the gates of the Glacier National Park and greeted the tourists coming in on trains. So he wanted people to know. Americans to know there were black feet still there. He claimed this and did this until the day he died. And he claimed that his face was one of the faces on the buffalo nickel. Historians disagree. I disagree. It was iron tail that was on the front, but he didn't care.
Starting point is 00:27:33 He wanted his people's face on the things Americans carried in his pocket because it was important that they weren't erased. So he dies in 1934. 37 years later, another blackfeet man, a tribal leader named Walter Blackie Wetzel. Blackie? Why were they calling him Blackie? Not anything to do with that, you racists? I don't mean you. I mean the liberal racists.
Starting point is 00:28:03 Anyway, he held, he had led the National Congress of American Indians. And he went to the Redskins with an idea. He said, you're going to carry our name, carry a real face, not the cartoon, the actual chief. And so he brought them the face of two guns white calf, and the team put it on their helmet in 1972. And that logo was not taken from the black feet. It was given by the black feet. So when the pressure campaign heated up, Wetzel's own son said, I'm proud of it. In 2016, the Washington Post, not exactly a team booster.
Starting point is 00:28:41 pulled 504 Native Americans in every state. Nine in ten said it didn't offend them. Same result as a national poll found 12 years earlier. The people being defended had been asked twice, and they gave the same answer two times. But it didn't matter. It doesn't matter. We're white people.
Starting point is 00:29:05 We know they don't even know they're being mocked. They don't even know they're being damaged. We've got to wipe them out again. because that's exactly what happened. Summer 2020, countries on fire, sponsors and investors moved. Why? Because we told them, we're going to boycott your product if you just, if you don't stand against the Washington Redskins because we know better than the Redskins. We know better than the Blackfeet.
Starting point is 00:29:32 We're white. We know we're superior. And within a few weeks, the name and the face gone. replaced with something so incredibly insipid. They just literally called the team the Washington football team for two years. And then the commanders, a name nobody asked for, honoring nobody. I don't even know what it means.
Starting point is 00:30:00 But I know we've been here before. I mean exactly the same. It's in 1879, there's this army officer. His name is Richard Pratt. And he opens a school in an old army barracks. in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. And he's not a villain in his own eyes, in his own time. He's a reformer.
Starting point is 00:30:20 He's enlightened. He's a friend of the Indian. He's going to save them. That's the way he's in his own head and in his own time. That's exactly who these weasels are now. This guy, okay? He has a plan. They're savages.
Starting point is 00:30:41 I've got to go in. and take their children far from home. I've got to cut their hair. I've got to take their names and give them new ones. I've got to punish them for speaking their own language. He says in a speech in 18, let me look this up. It was 1872, 1892. Kill the Indian in him and save the man.
Starting point is 00:31:03 That's his quote. Now he means this as compassion. The children at Carlyle, here's fascinating fact. Children at Carlyle. The ones he's cutting their hair, trying to kill the Indian and save the man, they decide they're going to have a football team. And they become one of the greatest teams in America. A little Indian school beat Harvard, beat Army.
Starting point is 00:31:31 One of the men who played and coached there, a man who called himself Lone Star Dietz, said he was Sue, became the head coach of a new team in Boston in 1933. 1933 is the year that Boston team took the name The Redskins. So the name came out of a school built to erase the Native American. And what came out of the school was not erasure. It was pride.
Starting point is 00:32:03 The kids, they tried to strip of everything, took to the football team and beat the sons of the men who ran the damn country. Pratt cut their hair for their own good. And in 2020, the people with the same kind of crappy-ass education cuts the chief off of their helmet for his own good. Different century, same certainty, same exact progressives. Because they know better. They know better than the people themselves. We know better.
Starting point is 00:32:43 know what they should be proud of, what they should be allowed to be proud of. It's absolutely unbelievable. Unfricking believable. Now, I ought to tell you, if they had asked the family and had asked all the people, is this really offensive? I wouldn't have been happy, but I would have been okay. All right, well, they just think this is really horrible. But they didn't.
Starting point is 00:33:09 They didn't. You asked them. You asked them. They said no twice. but that's not good enough. We have to go to the faculty lounge. We've got to ask the faculty in the faculty lounge. You know, we're going to ask with a hashtag,
Starting point is 00:33:26 you don't drive to Montana and ask the grandchildren of the man on the helmet? No one did. And you know why they didn't? They didn't do it because they knew they wouldn't have a problem with it. The well-meaning. That's what they never see about themselves. Every crusade like this carries a quiet, insult inside of it.
Starting point is 00:33:50 Every single time, oh, you're too weak. You're too pathetic to speak for yourself. You're too confused to know when you've been insulted. You're too small to be trusted with your own grandfather and your own heritage. I can't think of anything more demeaning than that. The tribe that survived the end of the buffalo, the shrinking of its land,
Starting point is 00:34:18 the schools built to kill its. culture does not need rescuing from a football helmet. Oh, these people, gosh, they are so... Let's make sure in Ireland that nobody's hugging their grandmother and their grandfather without consent. We hashtag, or we hyphen consent, consent.org. Shut up. I got to tell you, the surest way to make a man feel small is to speak for him while he's standing right there. The people who did this, they just say, you know, we're doing it because so much, the white man is taken so much from the Native American people.
Starting point is 00:35:16 Really? You're the one who just took what they had. They say, they say you're erasing their history. You're saying, I'm preserving their history. You're erasing it. You're against. powerful outsiders deciding what's best for the tribe, except you never asked any of them. And when you did, they gave you the same answer that was against your answer two times. You know what? Here's what you know that they don't know yet. This is all ending. This is ending.
Starting point is 00:36:01 It's only a matter of time. You're already seeing it. It started with COVID. It started to chip away. It started to fall apart. people are like, I've had enough of this. And I got to tell you, they're going to double down after this election. They're going to double down.
Starting point is 00:36:14 You think it was bad then? Do you remember what it was like under Obama? And then Trump lost in 2020. And all of a sudden, you're like, oh, my gosh, these people are monsters. What are they doing? All of a sudden, they're telling you that you got to trans your kid. And you're like, wait a minute, I didn't vote for any of that. You thought that was bad?
Starting point is 00:36:33 They win this election. They're going to double down again. And most of us are really tired of people being rescued by people who never asked. You can hear it in the stands. You can hear it in that family in Montana. Who just wanted somebody to knock on their door and just say, Hey, what do you think? John Tugan's Whitecalf spent his life making sure America would not forget his people.
Starting point is 00:37:10 He stood at the park gate. He went to Washington. He wanted his face in your pocket. For 50 years, he got his wish. And then white people. Do gooding, overeducated white people said that he can't have that. They're the same bigoted racist that they were in the 1800s. It's an embarrassment.
Starting point is 00:37:38 It wasn't an embarrassment. He was a chief. I hope this family, I hope they can find a way to sue. in the end, they're going to get his face back on the, his face is going to be back on the helmet. Mark my words, because America is sick and tired of this. And restoring what honor he wanted his whole life to remind you that the black feet were people that existed here. They want it back. And it's high time.
Starting point is 00:38:21 We give it back to them. Back in a minute. Customer service, you know, used to be a matter of pride. in this country, you know? Starting point is 00:40:24 People are embracing lies about gender. They're rejecting the sanctity of every human life. And the government is even punishing people for saying what's true and right. Or worse, the woke mob is doxing them and slandering them with no due process. Just an angry mob. making their lives miserable or worse, putting families in real danger. But the biblical principles on which our country was founded still matter. Real patriots and Christians are beginning to stand up.

Take cut six, please. Who was this man that was your husband? When did they start saying that he was your brother? Why? I started with the Somali blog that I don't know if it still exists, but somebody put in there that, you know, that he had to have been my brother or something to that effect.
Starting point is 00:41:57 And right-wing conspiracy theorists in Minneapolis got a hold of it, and they just kind of went and, like, found random people who were like, she introduced us. You know, she introduced him to us and said he was her brother, which is, You know, it's insane. I mean, I don't know those people that they talk about. He was, you were not related to him at all. Not that. There's not some weird kernel of truth that through some being in the telephone. Not to my knowledge.

I understand. Ricky, can you fill us in? We thought it might be about Elon Omar, but I don't think it is.
Starting point is 00:45:38 Can you give me any kind of information that you do have? The FBI has arrested Virginia Democratic State Senator Louise Lucas and her associate. She was federally indicted on charges, including racketeering, money laundering, conspiracy, conspiracy, blah, blah, blah. So, yeah, she's in trouble. Democrat?
Starting point is 00:45:58 Yes. Elon, Ilhan Omar is has answered some questions oddly in my book on, you know, have you ever been married to,
Starting point is 00:46:16 hey, Ricky, Let me ask it, Cole. You ever been married to your brother? Not to my knowledge. I'm just kidding. That's how she answered it. Easy. Not to my knowledge.
Starting point is 00:46:29 You're like, what? No. No, I haven't been. I have never been married to my brother. Never been married to my sister. You know, it's easy to answer. Not to my knowledge. No, not to my knowledge.
Starting point is 00:46:42 Okay. All right. Well, apparently they have some DNA evidence. and Jason's going to bring us some of the latest on the Ilhan Omar scandal as that is really heating up. And I want to talk about payback because they say, this is going after your enemy. No, no, no, this is pursuing justice. And I want this in a court of law. I mean, we have shown you over and over again just the evidence that we have.
Starting point is 00:47:11 It's smoking guns everywhere, everywhere on this story. But everyone is invested in this. I mean, you look at what has happened with Ilhan. The press cannot have this go away. They can't. First of all, she's a refugee. So she's a success story for the squad. And if the core of her biography is fraudulent,
Starting point is 00:47:38 then it validates the years and years and years of the argument about immigration vetting that we're not doing a good job. on that. And then you got Snopes and everybody else who said all of this stuff is made up. It's not true. So now all the newsrooms have all of their credibility online. And we're going to see. We're going to see who turns out to be right and it's got to be proven in a court of law. It's got to have real evidence. But that's not what the left is now doing. What the left is doing is they are actually fingering targets. They are saying, we're going after, for instance,
Starting point is 00:48:18 Elon Musk is where I want to start next. First, let me tell you about leave filter. You know, when the automobile first came along, driving was a very different experience. You had the wind blowing directly under your face and bugs in your teeth, and if you're going fast enough, you know, you could make a steady diet of bugs. Oh my gosh, that's what the WEF should do. Just take the windshields out.
Starting point is 00:48:39 We'd be happy, fat and full all the time. Look, your Sunday drive isn't all you can eat buffet. Anyway, I digress. Look, your gutters. Your gutters have a similar problem, except instead of bugs, they're constantly swallowing leaves and pine needles and twigs and whatever else falls off your roof. Thankfully, leaf filter can install a micrometh gutter protection system that allows the rainwater to flow through while keeping all the leaves and debris out. So, protect your home today with leaf filter. America's number one gutter protection system.

Starting point is 00:49:27 okay so Politico has ran a story earlier this week that reads like honestly like a line from a mob movie Democrats were coming for Elon Musk that tell you, we're coming for you, Elon. Not a hearing, not a subpoena, a plan. Now, according to multiple reports,
Starting point is 00:49:51 multiple House committees are already gaming out how each one gets a piece of him if the Democrats win the gavels in November. You are, we are in for a wild ride. I want to make a prediction. If they win the House and the Senate, Senate, this show will be off the air by the end of 2029. And you will lose a lot of the voices like mine by 2029.
Starting point is 00:50:27 Soon as they take over the White House, they are going to make our lives absolutely miserable. You're going to see shows like this and trusted voices that you've listened to for a long time, absolutely silenced. Have we silenced any of their voices? Have you ever heard me push for the silencing of voices ever? Ever. Okay, so here's what they want. Oversight wants Doge.
Starting point is 00:50:55 Foreign Affairs wants Starlink in Ukraine. And Foreign Affairs also wants the end of USAID. They are, I'm telling you, they're coming with a vengeance. Now, the last one isn't even a contract. Now others want his NASA contracts. One congressman from Texas said they should absolutely investigate the money he is spending on Republican candidates. Of course they want that. Do they ever do that with George Soros?
Starting point is 00:51:24 No, no. Have we ever done that with George Frickin Soros? We should have. Have we? No. Now, this one is a campaign check. Supporting the candidates you believe in is free speech and free association. It has been legal.
Starting point is 00:51:43 every day of your life since the founding of this country. The moment a check to the other party becomes a line item in an investigation, no investigation is ever, ever about what a man did. It's about whose side he's on. Then Kara Swisher. Love that swisher. Hey, swish this way, Kara. She went on a podcast and she said out loud what the memo was too polite to say.
Starting point is 00:52:13 under Kamala Harris she said Elon Musk might be in jail right now so wait before the USAID stuff before the NASA stuff before Ukraine before any of this he would have been in jail he knows what's coming he knows he's on the top of everybody's list
Starting point is 00:52:37 and she added that it wouldn't be because Harris had some avenging fury but because there are around his companies. The order gives it away. Jail first, questions second. Notice he'd be in jail today, most likely, because we have questions.
Starting point is 00:52:59 It should be we have questions. And if those questions are not answered or answered in a way where we can prove that something has happened that is illegal, he'd be in jail today. It's just so you know, America. look at they have destroyed our heroes. They have destroyed our way of life. They have tried to take our capitalist system and flush it down the toilet. And believe me, they are telling you. For 25 years, I've been telling you guys these are Marxists
Starting point is 00:53:31 that want to fundamentally transform the capitalist state of America into a Marxist utopia. And everyone said I was crazy. Everyone said I was a mean, bad man for saying it. and they are now telling you if they get into office, that is their plan. So they have destroyed everything about us and are continuing to do it. And so what do they need to do? This is not about just politics.
Starting point is 00:53:59 They need to take the guy who took a rocket that lands on its tail out of science fiction and put it on a weekly schedule. They need to put that guy in jail. They need to jail the guy whose company. he now carries most of what America sends into orbit, who got our astronauts to the space station when we were buying seats from Russia. A guy who went and rescued because Boeing
Starting point is 00:54:27 put people in space in something so flawed and so decrepit that we couldn't get them back home. He sent his people out to go get them. It's a guy who put the Internet in a Ukrainian trench a hurricane shelter, a ranch house, a guy who dragged the entire car industry into building electric whether it wanted it or not. This is a guy who did more for the greenies than anybody else. Here's a guy who bought Twitter, opened the files on what our own government had been asking to bury. They're not putting him away for politics.
Starting point is 00:55:16 they are putting him away because he is the greatest inventor and entrepreneur in my lifetime. You know, Edison and Tesla couldn't stand each other. We have both of these guys in one man. And he's on the list of the left. Congress is supposed to watch where our money goes. And billions of it goes to SpaceX. A man who sat inside the government with access to its, systems while his companies held its contracts is exactly who oversight is built for.
Starting point is 00:55:58 Right? I'm no problem. The government accountability office says Doge overstated its savings. Okay. Okay. All right. But if one private citizen can slow down an ally's connection on the battlefield, as it's been reported, that's a fair game.
Starting point is 00:56:21 a fair question for foreign affairs. All of it. Ask it under oath. But it's his decision and it's his company. But this isn't what that list is made for. You don't name the defendant in October and pick the charge in January. You don't do it that way. Elon's answer was live by the sword, die by the sword. He said he's going to find out who's really pulling the strings and he's coming for
Starting point is 00:56:51 him. Not just their puppets. He's coming for him. He said Swisher sounds like she wants to go to prison. I understand his anger. It's still the same sword. You know, people have chanted lock her up, lock her up before the jury ever heard a word. And what did Donald Trump do? He didn't lock her up. Why? Because the sword never cares whose hands it's in. knew Locker Up, Locker Up, Locker Up could not be done because it will set off a firestorm. And that they did it anyway. They did it to him. The sword doesn't care who picks it up. But make no mistake, we are repeating 1934. We are repeating the FDR administration. Andrew Mellon, Carnegie Mellon, okay? He's a Pittsburgh banker. He's the Treasury Secretary under three Republican presidents. He is the architect of the roaring 20s.
Starting point is 00:58:07 He was also one of the richest men in America. And when the Depression hit, he was one of the most hated men in America. So when Roosevelt came in, his administration went out after Mellon for tax fraud. I mean, they took it to a grand jury in Pittsburgh. He did everything. He accused this guy all the time of defrauding the United States. The grand jury refused to indict. They were like, you got nothing.
Starting point is 00:58:32 So they brought it back as a civil case. Months of hearings, millions in back taxes and fraud penalties. The whole country was reading all along. Part of the fight was over paintings. Few years earlier, when Stalin needed hard currency, the Soviets sold masterpieces from Leningrad, Raphael and Rembrandt, all of them. guy goes over and he buys them.
Starting point is 00:59:04 His name was Andrew Mellon. In the middle of the case, it came out where they were going. He went over and bought all of those things from Russia, and where did the guy who bought all of that that was the most hated man in America, where did those paintings go? He bought them. Did he put them in his house? No. No.
Starting point is 00:59:26 While the ruling was still pending, he wrote to the president whose treasury was trying to disgrace him, and he said, look, I'm going to build a building in New York. I'm sorry, in Washington, D.C. And I'm going to put all of these paintings in there. And Roosevelt said, yes, yes, please do, yes. Mellon died in August of 1937. Four months later, the ruling came down.
Starting point is 00:59:57 He owed some back taxes, a fraction of what they claimed. Fraud, none, none. The charge they had been levying against him in every headline for three years, false. In 1941, Roosevelt stood on the National Mall and dedicated that building that held the art that Mellon bought from Russia and gave to the United States of America. It's now known as the National Gallery of Art.
Starting point is 01:00:37 you might have walked through it. And if you did, you walked through a gift of a man, his government spent years trying to make into a criminal. The government's lawyer on that case was a young man named Robert Jackson. In 1940, Robert Jackson, as Attorney General, gathered his federal prosecutors of the United States and said, let me tell you what I learned during the FDR administration. It is the most dangerous power,
Starting point is 01:01:13 that we hold. And it's not bad law. It's a choice. The books are so full of crimes, he said. A prosecutor can find anything on almost anybody. The real danger is the one who picks the man they dislike and then looks for an offense. Gee, like the lesson he learned with Melon. Now he never said that, but he had been in those rooms. So who won't? who won't they come for? If they'll come after Elon Musk, I mean, Elon's going to be fine. Believe me, he'll have the best lawyers alive.
Starting point is 01:01:55 He'll have the biggest megaphone on Earth. And you know what? If they come after him, he just might go up and live in space. The list isn't for him. The list is for the next one, the engineer in a garage wondering whether I should build the thing.
Starting point is 01:02:12 A retiree who was going to write a $1,000 check to a $1,000. to a candidate left or right that he believes in. The machine shop with one federal contract and an opinion. The kid who wants to build the next rocket and just watch what happens. Watch what happens to the guy who just built these rockets. Because they'll all have read that story.
Starting point is 01:02:33 They'll all have done the math. Nobody has to be convicted for this to work. The list is the punishment. The process. They said this last. time. The process is the punishment. And the country that punishes their builders for their politics or because they build is going to end up with plenty of politics and very few builders. It's the end of the American system. Justice starts with a crime and then goes looking for the man.
Starting point is 01:03:10 Revenge starts with the man and then goes looking for the crime. And that holds for their side and it holds for our side. They spent years looking for a crime on Andrew Mellon. What they found was a gift hanging on the walls, a short walk from the Capitol and from the White House. Exactly where they were drawing up this list. This time it's a rocket coming home to land. find the crime first, then come for the man, never the other way around. More in a minute.
Starting point is 01:03:49 My Patriot Supply. You know what really bothers me about major winter storms? Come on, say it with me. Restaurants close, right? I mean, it's what it's all about. You get a foot of snow. The roads are covered in ice. The governor's declared a state of emergency.
Starting point is 01:04:05 And Uber is not bringing my eats? What are you talking about? I mean, who's making my cheeseburger tonight? I know I didn't realize I'd have to risk my life for a bacon double cheeseburger. This is just not right. What happened to us, America? Anyway, there is a great way to solve all this. It is my Patriot Supply.
Starting point is 01:04:24 I don't have cheeseburgers, but when a serious storm hits, everything closes, restaurants, grocery stores, delivery services, and suddenly you're stuck at home with whatever happens to be in the pantry. It's prepare with glen.com. 10 seconds, station ID. Okay, so yesterday we're going to get into Elon Omar, but there's also another Somali story out there.
Starting point is 01:05:16 And this one is about a person that is running in Oregon. she is a Somali. She was at a campaign event in Minneapolis. She spoke in front of an American flag. It was upside down, meaning distress. It was upside down. Either that or it just means that I'm Somali. I don't know if the stars go at the top or the bottom,
Starting point is 01:05:36 but it means distress and they knew that. And so she was speaking. This started making the rounds. And then her campaign came out and said, those are fakes. The flag was not upside down. And so everybody corrected it, believed her and said,
Starting point is 01:05:49 No, the flag was... No, no, no. Her video correcting the flag, that was the fake we now find out. A twist on the AI deep fakes like you didn't see coming. We'll talk about that and Ilhan Omar next. Have you ever played that game with your family, the one where you say,
Starting point is 01:06:08 if we could go anywhere in the country, if we could live anywhere in the world, where would we go? Maybe you'd like to live in the mountains or some little town where everybody knows each other. Maybe a little town like that in the mountains. I don't know. Maybe you be closer to your kids. It's kind of fun to imagine, but usually that's as far as it goes because you're actually picking up your life and moving, and it's hard.
Starting point is 01:06:28 You've got to figure out what your current home is worth, find a new one, navigate real estate agents in different markets, somehow or another coordinate the whole thing without losing your mind. But what if we could make it a little bit easier for you? That's why I started real estate agents I trust. I wanted to help connect you with experienced real estate professionals who know their local markets and can help you navigate the process. If you say, hey, Glenn, I'm living here and we're moving there, we can find the two agents, and they'll even work together. They'll help coordinate. Please check out real estate agents.itrust.com. We'll show you how you can sell or buy a home, even in this tough market. By the way, mortgage rates went down yesterday. That's a really good thing.
Starting point is 01:07:09 Real estate agents, I trust.com. That's real estate agents.itrust.com. Earlier this week, Glenn listed 16 Trump campaign promises he kept all before the midterms. You need to read this before you vote. Check it out. Now at glenbeck.com. Welcome to the program. All right, Jason, I want to bring you in here. Well, first, you know, let me finish this story about this, this fake flag controversy. I don't know if you saw this, but Nefisa Fai is a, you know, Is it Fai, do you know? Is it Foe? Is it Fum? I'm not sure.
Starting point is 01:08:16 But she's running for county chair in Washington County in Oregon. At a campaign event in Minneapolis. Now, why would you be in Minneapolis for a campaign event if you're running in Oregon? Hmm, I wonder. So she's speaking, you know, in Somali to a group of supporters. Do we have the video or is it just a picture? So she's speaking and she's speaking in front of an American flag. that is actually upside down.
Starting point is 01:08:45 Go ahead and... People of color, who had to be a lot. One of people of money. That's it. And it's good to be in a roof because that we hajero
Starting point is 01:08:57 lawyers or people of color that we hajure CEO or company who's a beloved. Or will you have to be hajured that or lawn mowing. Stop. So she has a problem with CEOs that.
Starting point is 01:09:12 are people of color who lawnmo. I think, I don't know. It's weird that they don't have a translation for those things. But anyway, so she's talking to these Somalis and God's saying God only knows what. And she's standing there and she's standing right in
Starting point is 01:09:28 front of a flag that is upside down. Now, I think it is a possibility I'm not being cute here. I think there's a possibility that the Somalis had no idea that the flag was upside down. It is a very real... Would you know if the Somali flag was upside down?
Starting point is 01:09:45 I wouldn't know. But I wouldn't be running for office in Somalia. So what do I know? You know, and if you're in the Somali community and they gave you millions of dollars that you're sending back, you could at least go, yeah, I don't really like the country, but let's hang the flag right.
Starting point is 01:10:03 Anyway, I think it was intentionally done. It's a flag upside down. You fly a flag upside down. It means the country is in distress. I don't know why Somalis would say that our country is in distress when they're trying to light it on fire themselves. So I don't understand it. But anyway, so she comes out and when this starts circulating,
Starting point is 01:10:24 people like, look at the flag, it's upside down. Her office comes out and says, no, that's not true. That's a deep fake. So they're filming it. The clip goes everywhere. No, no, no. The flag was not upside down. deep fake.
Starting point is 01:10:43 She posts an article from a local outlet, the Oregon Journalism Project, that called the footage a deep fake. And the article showed a picture of her standing next to a flag flying the right way. She said, this is how AI is being used to destroy people's reputation. Then Axios picks it up, a national newsroom. It reported that the team had provided screenshots showing the flag right side up. So then her team takes that and shows that, no, this is her right here. I've got screenshots of her right here. It turns it into a story warning about the attack ads that put words in candidates' mouths
Starting point is 01:11:22 and create scenes that never happen. Oh, my gosh, AI and these people on the right are so evil. They're warning about the danger. You have to be sure of what is fake and what is real, except they were wrong about which picture was fake. the video was real. The proof is believed to have been made by a machine. So ordinary people noticed something, you know, that others didn't, that the Somali logo,
Starting point is 01:11:55 the TV logo was missing and that the stars were in the wrong place. And the banner didn't, with her name, didn't match. And then they started looking and they flagged a hidden watermark, the kind Google's stamps into images that its AI creates. Okay? Then they started noticing, wait a minute, down at the bottom, there are stripes from the upside down flag and not from the right side up flag. The stripes were wrong at the very bottom. So the Oregon Journalism Project goes back and gets more images from that room in Minneapolis.
Starting point is 01:12:31 And then they're like, uh, I guess it was a python. It also said where its original proof came from. The campaign. So it pulls the story. Axios pulls its story too. Now, for years, we have been warned that AI will make fake things look real. That's true. But it's only half the danger.
Starting point is 01:12:57 And maybe the smaller half. The other half lets you call real things fake. two law professors gave this a name years ago. They called it the liar's dividend. Once everyone knows video can be faked, every guilty person ever caught on video gets a free escape hatch. You don't have to prove you didn't do it. You just have to say, take that liar's escape hatch.
Starting point is 01:13:26 It's AI. That's what she did. Think of the kid with a hand in the cookie jar. For generations, the camera ended that. Now the kid looks at the footage and says, that's a deep fake. That's not me. That's a deep fake. And half the house believes him because half the house wants to believe him.
Starting point is 01:13:48 Here's a kid that didn't just deny it. Somebody on her side handed over a picture of a full cookie jar. And then the grown-ups whose job it is to check the jars, put a stamp on it. On one side, a broadcaster's footage. On the other, a campaign screenshot. and the people who call themselves fact checkers took the campaign's word. Nobody asked why the logo was gone because the story fit what they already believed. AI is a weapon.
Starting point is 01:14:23 And this time they aimed it at people like you and me. They made us question our sanity. Now, I can't tell you what that flag upside down means to her. It's a distress signal. Maybe she has an explanation, but she should be asked for it. but it never happened is not an explanation. That's a cover story. Who made the image?
Starting point is 01:14:51 Who handed that image to the reporter? Will the campaign take back the word deep fake? Will it apologize to everyone it accused of faking a real video? Will the correction travel as far as the false fact check did? It won't. The debunk gets shared by people who feel smart. The correction gets read by people who already knew. So both outlets did pull their stories.
Starting point is 01:15:19 And that matters. And it wasn't an agency or a board that caught this. It was regular people who looked closely, who counted the stars and noticed this missing logo. That's an immune system. That's an immune system that is very healthy and one day want to stomp out. It's the immune system of the country. You, the average person. And I want you to know, I'm not going to give our side a pass.
Starting point is 01:15:48 I mean, most of us have at one point on all sides shared a picture that flattered us before we checked it. The liar's dividend pays whoever wants it most. It doesn't check your party. You know, I was looking up things in history that have happened before, and believe it or not, it's about a pelt. A pelt comes into England from Australia, and it has a duck. bill and a beaver's tail and webbed feet. And a naturalist, one of the leading naturalists at the British Museum was like somebody's playing a joke on us.
Starting point is 01:16:30 This isn't true. And so the story goes that he took scissors to it hunting for the stitches. But he couldn't find any stitches. But he discredited it anyway. But there weren't any stitches because it's something that he had never seen called a platypus. The expert looked at something real and called it a hoax. This week, the experts did one better. They doubted the real thing and certified the fake.
Starting point is 01:16:59 So what do you do when your eyes can be lied to? And the people paid to check either fall for it or lie to you as well. You do the one thing that the people online did. You slow down. You look for what a faker forgets, the logo, the second camera. the people who were in the room. Ask where a picture came from. But before you ask, what it shows,
Starting point is 01:17:33 that's when you ask. Don't say, hey, what does your picture show? Can you send that to me? No, can you send me your picture? When someone caught on tape answers with AI, treat that at the beginning of the story, not the end of the story. Pictures used to be a witness.
Starting point is 01:17:52 Now it's just a claim. So we're back to where human beings were when we started with people who are actually there, who will say so, and can't be generated. When anything can be faked, the truth needs to be the witness. The truth does. The people who stood there need to be the witness, not just the pictures. Be a witness of what you're actually seeing.
Starting point is 01:18:25 Because this is getting crazy. I mean, we also found out yesterday, that there was a poll that was faked. Faked. Now, they say it was a science experiment. Was it? Was it a science experiment? Really? Because I'm not going to take your word that it was a science experiment. They faked a poll, and it was actually the one that caused the person that was running against El-Said to drop out of the race. Because she said that poll came out and all my money dried up, and it went everywhere.
Starting point is 01:18:53 So was that a science experiment? Or was that the left messing with elections? which was it. I don't have the answer, but we damn well better not take the answer from the people who just said, oh no, no, no, that was a science experiment. That was a social experiment
Starting point is 01:19:09 to see if a fake poll could get picked up everywhere. Really? Because once these lies take root, then everybody's vested in them. Ilhan Omar is one of these. And I want to go to Jason on this. Let me do a commercial. I'm going to come back.
Starting point is 01:19:32 They want Jason to explain the latest with Ilhan. Because the press has no reason to debunk this now. They have no reason to say, oh, we were wrong. They have every reason to say, no, no, no, and keep defending her. But there's some new information out on that. And we're going to get to it next. First, life lock. An obituary is supposed to be a tribute to somebody's life. It tells you who they were, who they loved, and what they left behind. But there are people out there who, you know, look at that same obituary and see something entirely different. Scammers are now using artificial intelligence to research older Americans.
Starting point is 01:20:07 including scouring obituaries for information about grieving families. And they use that information to create, you know, convincing messages. And AI allows them to make thousands of calls at once. Please talk to your parents and your grandparents about this. If you get an unusual call or a message, encourage them to stop and verify it through a trusted source. Watch for suspicious transactions. If something happens, save the evidence and report it and consider LifeLock.
Starting point is 01:20:35 LifeLock monitors, sign. for identity theft and it'll alert you to potential problems. This morning I talked to you about Black October. This is something I started the show with because it's just breaking. This is on the digital DefCon scale. This is a six. Defcon one being don't unplug everything. It's a six.
Starting point is 01:20:55 Widespread exposure. Your data is likely being stolen. It's happening today. This is really a bad thing. Protect yourself with LifeLock. Join now save up to 30% off your first year with. the promo code Beck. 1-800 LifeLock.
Starting point is 01:21:09 1-800 LifeLock. Head to LifeLock.com. Use the promo code Beck. 30% off now. Terms do apply. You're going to be thinking about that for a couple minutes, huh? Glenn Beck will be right back. Okay, so Ilhan Omar was describing the raid on her home.
Starting point is 01:21:56 They went room for room. They took her daughter's phone, everything else. And then she has a response. I'm not going to spend, you know, a minute playing this back. She's on an interview with MS now. And they're like, you know, so did you ever marry your brother? Is there any truth to that? And she says, not to my knowledge.
Starting point is 01:22:14 Now, you could say she was joking. Or you could say, yeah, let's not put out any lies out there right now. Let's not make things worse. Not to my knowledge is a good answer. And you make it look like it's a joke. But whatever it is, there's new information. Jason, what do we have? So court docs surrounding the search warrant have now been made public.
Starting point is 01:22:39 And this is coming from the attorney's office from the district court for the District of Columbia. And normally on this, you would think, okay, you know, subject named Elon Omar. But that name is there, but as a also known as. So how they actually identify her in official U.S. court documents in the District of Columbia is Congresswoman, Il-I-L-E-L-N-N-R, Saeed, El-Me. Not Omar. El-me. Dun.
Starting point is 01:23:12 Done. Done. Done. Done. If they are officially recognizing her in a court document that a judge signed off on as, that's not her married name, that is her birth name. She changed that when she came here to America. Her father never changed it.
Starting point is 01:23:33 her sister never changed it. She changed it. And if that's how they're referring to her, that's the name of her, quote, husband, brother. Is there anything DNA? Because I've heard talk that she is concerned about DNA. Well, there was a report coming from the New York Post a few days ago that reported that federal investigators have DNA evidence. it could prove Elon Omar, whether that was hinted at in this article,
Starting point is 01:24:07 but not entirely sure exactly what the details are on that, but they do have DNA evidence as reported by you. You know, I hope they do, you know, because that's the easiest way to prove or disprove. I've got DNA. I check the DNA against your husband. I check the DNA against you, and you're a match. Sorry, we're not in the O.J. Simpson days anymore.
Starting point is 01:24:28 And if I were Elon Omar, I would say, I want my so-called brother to give his DNA. You match the two. That's what I would do. I could make this thing go away right now. Go ahead. Take my, you know, people said,
Starting point is 01:24:43 Tanya's your sister. Take her DNA. Take my DNA right now. Take it. We'll end this nonsense. She's never, ever going to do that. Never. I hope they do have DNA
Starting point is 01:24:55 because it will be rock, solid evidence, and this nightmare will be over. One way or enough, ended. All right, more in a minute. This episode is brought to you by Wild Horse Nine, only in theaters November 6th. Earning rave reviews at the Toronto International Film Festival, don't miss this wildly entertaining movie that critics are calling easily one of the best films of the year.
Starting point is 01:25:30 Starring John Malkovich, Sam Rockwell, Steve Bouchemi, Parker Posey, and Tom Waits, and written and directed by Academy Award winner Martin McDonough. See Wild Horse Nine, only in theaters November 6th. Here's something I want you to hear. It's Medicare open enrollment. Yay! The only time of year where you can make changes to your Medicare plan. But I have some bad news. I've just been looking at some research and this is amazing. It shows that only one in ten Americans are on the right plan for their needs. And it's worse than that. The average person was overspending more than $1,000 a year and one in ten are spending $2,000 more than necessary and they have no idea. This could be you. The system is so confusing. It's easy to pay too much. and never know it. But right now, Medicare open enrollment, the one window every year where you can fix it. That's why I want you to fix it now with Chapter. The only Medicare advisors that I trust.
Starting point is 01:26:26 So dial pound 250 and say the keyword chapter. A couple from my audience, Tamara and Dean, they called Chapter. They're saving almost $3,000 this year. The call is free. Takes 20 minutes, maybe. Dial pound 250, say the keyword chapter. Act now before you're left overpaying or on the wrong coverage for another year. pound 250 chapter.
Starting point is 01:26:46 America, welcome to the Glenn Beck program. Got a lot to talk to you about. We've covered Ilan, Ilan, Elon, everybody seems to be going to jail today. There was an arrest of yet another Democrat. This time, the DOJ went after a Democrat in Virginia. We'll give you the update on that. And I want to talk to you a little bit
Starting point is 01:28:10 about socialist because I think people are, uh, I don't know who these socialists are. At least that's, that's, that's how I think we feel. Have you ever met one? I've only met one on a college campus. Um, but have you ever met one? What are they like? Who are they? How, how do they get there in this, in this country? Well, one way to get there is a lack of gratitude and a lack of perspective on who we really are and what we have as a nation. But I want to talk to you about these Marxist elites and what you're actually dealing with in a way that I think all of us can understand. We'll do that here in 60 seconds. First, let me tell you about American financing. Somewhere in America right now, there is a person who has never missed a credit card payment in his life. And every time he pays a bill, he pays it on time.
Starting point is 01:29:02 He's responsible. He's done everything the banks have ever asked him to do and the banks love him because he's paying them a fortune in interest. You can be perfectly, you can be perfectly responsible. You can make all of your payments and still find yourself in a situation where you're barely making progress. And with today's interest rates, that is a real problem for a lot of American families. If you own a home, I want to talk to you about American financing. They can help you explore options for consolidating high interest debt, including potentially using the equity in your home that you've built in your home. If you have a low interest mortgage, do not give that up. But there are other options available to you. I want you to call in
Starting point is 01:29:41 find out how you can how you can borrow against your home without resetting everything and what the terms are and the risks. It's worth having a conversation with people who can walk you through the possibilities. Call them today 800 906 2440, 800906 2440 or go to Americanfinancing. NMLS. NMLS.compancy.comer access.com. Average savings based on borrowers, you're able for $1.99. So I don't base what I have to say on a monologue or a, a, a, um, op-ed piece that was at Glennbeck.com earlier this week and it was made by
Starting point is 01:30:16 Michaela who's absolutely one of my favorite people on earth. She is so bright she is so she's a really godly woman and very, very smart and compassionate. She's better than most of us combined, I think.
Starting point is 01:30:33 And here's her flaws. She has a degree in acting. Okay? What a worth... So she has a degree in acting. and she married a guy, and I'm not making this up, that went to clown school. Now, the Harvard of clown schools, don't get me wrong, it's the Harvard of clown schools, but it's still a clown school, okay? And she has played an angel and a Greek goddess and an astronaut's wife and all of the other
Starting point is 01:31:02 crap that every, you know, every actor, you know, has ever played, okay? She knows the arts. And so she's saying, she came to me and she's like, Glenn, I want to write an op-ed for glenbeck.com. And I said, okay, what do you want to write about? And she said, I recognize these democratic socialists. And I recognize them in a way most people will miss. So she did.
Starting point is 01:31:26 And I want you to go to glenbeck.com and read it. Midterms are right around the corner. DSA is on the rise. Most of us are watching and go, what are these people thinking? Who votes for socialists? and to answer that question, let me take you back to the 2016 aspiring young rapper named Young Cardamom.
Starting point is 01:31:52 We now know him as Mayor Zoran Mamdani. Same year, the same year, a young woman from a middle class family in Lubbock, Texas, had just moved to New York to become a painter. And she paid the rent working at, Taco Bell and Trader Joe's and Pizza Hut. And today she's a state assembly woman. And this summer, she won the Democratic primary for Congress with Bernie Sanders in her corner. And a Yale man who studied literature and sculpture and was selling other people's art in a Chelsea gallery.
Starting point is 01:32:29 You know, one of the nice Chelsea galleries. It's like the Harvard of clown schools. Today he's the co-chair of the New York City DSA, drawing $95,000 a year. plus benefits. He lives in Brooklyn, in a townhouse. His parents bought and renovated, worth about a million and a half bucks. His father built a construction business. And for years, his social media handle has been Union Gustavo. And his profile says Union Electrician. But that's not really true. The electrician's union threw him out of its apprenticeship for not showing up to work or to class. But his profile still says union electrician. It's kind of like, I'm a doctor. I've never really actually seen a patient, but I'm a doctor. I got the coat. Okay. So you have a rapper,
Starting point is 01:33:20 the painter, and a sculptor. That's the bench of the largest socialist organization in American history. Now with more than 120,000 dues paying members, these, this is the head of it. So who are these people? Well, Nate Silver came out and he had a great answer for it. He said highly educated and downwardly mobile. You did everything you were told. They did everything. You got, you went to a good school, you got good grades.
Starting point is 01:33:55 You got a degree that your professors told you would be as noble as medicine, except it wasn't medicine. Then you graduated and the engineering major down the hall got a six figure out. offer and you got an apron at a place you didn't need to study to go work at. That hurts. The rent is real. The loans are real. Now, frying tacos is an honest work that nobody should ever sneer at, but at the moment every young person chooses between two conclusions.
Starting point is 01:34:29 One is, I need to find something that's going to, that will pay. The other is the system is rigged against the people who, who see the world as it should be and I'm one of those people. The second one feels better. It does. It turns your disappointment into a cause. I don't have to change. The world has to change. Come on, let's all change it together.
Starting point is 01:34:54 And believe me, drama people are full of drama. Now comes the second problem. The circles where these people live. Privilege is the worst thing you can have. and many of these aspiring artists turned DSA leaders have privilege. I was taking tap when I was five. I took piano and voice and summer programs and I had a mom who drove me to every audition
Starting point is 01:35:22 and a dad who paid for the fine arts degree. It was the bravest thing I've ever done. In the article, Michaela says plainly, outside of rare cases, the arts are not a poor kid's game. true it's absolutely true and nobody wants to be a starving artist nobody does so what do you do with a rich father in a room where rich fathers are the villain well you have a couple of choices you can confess it or you can put on a costume
Starting point is 01:35:58 a hard hat a union card the name of a trade you never finished i'm a union electrician are you you sound like a kid who grew up with privilege that didn't want to do any work whatsoever, and now you're hiding behind that. And the artists, you know, the art world, very good at costumes. They get it. They're very good at acting. Good at getting attention. Making a room feel something, anything.
Starting point is 01:36:30 Taking that applause, taking that bow. That is the job. On a stage, it's a gift. In politics, it's the audience getting played. Now, don't get me wrong, we run a costume shop too. I mean, I have brand new Carhart clothing up at my ranch. I've never meant a defense. Never, never done it.
Starting point is 01:36:57 I mean, I drive my pickup truck because I like it, not because I have to. I have people that run my ranch. I'm not going anywhere near the pregnancy check for my cattle. not sticking my arm up there. I'm not doing it. Okay. Same shop, different rack. We all wear costumes from time to time. Okay. But this is dangerous because let me take you back to Russia. Summer of 1874. Thousands of university students, many of them sons and daughters of the landowners and the officials and, uh, you know, and the czars and all of these people. They've got diamonds and Faberrege eggs. And they decide the revolution.
Starting point is 01:37:41 is going to come for the peasants. All somebody has to do is go out and get the villages to wake them up. So they put costumes on. Rough peasant shirts, bark shoes. Not making that up. Bark shoes. Some of
Starting point is 01:37:56 them learn to cobble boots or saw lumber so they'll have a trade to hide behind. No, I'm just like you. They called it going out to the people and they walk out into the countryside carrying pamphlets to explain how the peasants are being so badly cheated.
Starting point is 01:38:13 And the peasants look at them. And then the stories say, they looked at their hands and they realize, you're a total fraud. You speak like the city. You don't have a single callous on a single hand. And they were explaining to the village men who had never left it. Oh, no, this is what's happening. And the village men are looking at it like, you're not, you're not a peasant.
Starting point is 01:38:38 Okay. And the peasant quietly listened, politely. then they walked down the road and turned them into the police. More than a thousand of these frauds were arrested. One trial alone had nearly 200 defendants. Now, the students didn't go home and rethink anything. Some of them decided that if the people wouldn't be persuaded, then the people would have to be acted for.
Starting point is 01:39:06 And so they stopped printing pamphlets and started bombing buildings. Okay? they started building bombs and and setting them off. 1881, they killed the czar. Not just any czar, the one who had 20 for 20 years had freed the serfs. They murdered the man who freed the peasants in the name of the peasants because the peasants wouldn't follow them. See, this is where the costume goes when the audience stops clapping,
Starting point is 01:39:38 not to humility, to contempt, and the audience is about to stop clapping for these people, because it's going to figure it out. It's only a matter of time. If the working man won't believe you, then he has to be stupid or brainwashed or voting against his own interests or a traitor to his own race.
Starting point is 01:39:59 You've heard the phrase over and over again. We're living in 1874 podcast right now. That's what's happening. Think about the electrician who didn't finish the apprenticeship. Five and a half years up before dawn, night classes after a full job, you know, on a bad job site, a bad shoulder by 40. He's the man the costume was borrowed from and is now sitting on that guy that never did anything. Think about the woman who is still, you know, working at the friar at 45, long after the painter passed through on her way to Congress. They don't need somebody to play them. Do you know the story of Marie Antoinette?
Starting point is 01:40:50 Do you know why the French people were so angry at her? It's not the cake thing. Let them eat cake. That probably was never even said. And if it was, it wasn't like, we'll let them eat cake. It was, in her world, cake was so plentiful. Well, there's plenty of cake. If they don't have bread, why don't they just have cake? There's always cake around. Okay, she was just, that phrase was more about her just being so out of touch. But do you know who she was? Do you know that by the time of the revolution came, she wasn't even living in the palace. She was so sickened by the palace.
Starting point is 01:41:26 She was so disgusted by living that life. And she couldn't go anywhere because she was the queen. So she had to live at Versailles. But she lived like, I think it was like a mile away. I mean, I was just there. It's astounding that more people don't know this. She actually built a second palace on the site of Versailles. And she was living there.
Starting point is 01:41:52 And all of the elites were pissed at her because why? She's living at this palace that she had all of this wood brought in and all of this stuff brought in. She built it to look like a peasant's town. And then she had clothing made to make her. her look like a peasant, even though she wasn't a peasant and she wasn't living a peasant's life. And she would go out and she'd milk the cow and she was living the life of a regular everyday person. But it wasn't an everyday person. And so when the people finally stormed the gates of her sigh and saw that, they hated her. Because they're like, look at she's mocking us.
Starting point is 01:42:33 That's what's coming, gang. You are living the life of Marie Antoinette. You're dressing up as a union worker and you're not a union worker. And when the people find out who you are, they're not going to be happy. These people just need somebody to hear them. And when you ask them what they want, they rarely say abolish the Senate or, you know, public ownership of large corporations. They're starting to. They'll just say, instead, I want people to lower the rent.
Starting point is 01:43:09 I want somebody to leave my paycheck alone. I want my kids to do better. than me. The last one is a tell. Because people in costumes are the kids who did not do better than their parents. And they decided that it was everybody else's
Starting point is 01:43:27 fault that they didn't do better than their parents. So what do you take out of this? Let me tell you in 60 seconds. First, we're approaching a moment in history that if you don't believe most people, I mean, if you believe most people, I think most people have not fully
Starting point is 01:43:45 considered this fact, very soon there's not going to be anyone left who can tell us from personal experience what it was like to survive the Holocaust. For 80 years, we've had living witnesses to one of the darkest chapters in human history. People who lost their families, their homes, almost everything they knew. And now those survivors in their 90s, some are living alone, struggling to afford food and medicine. They've already endured more than any of us can imagine. And when they have their final years, when they're going to be able to. Gone? Now this is when the real monsters can come out and say, no, it never happened. Because no one's around with a number on their arm.
Starting point is 01:44:22 This is why the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews is providing food and essential assistance to vulnerable Jewish people, including Holocaust survivors, because we care. We don't want those people being alone. That's why I'm excited about their flags of fellowship movement, because the flags represent something the Jewish people were denied 80 years ago, the assurance that they are not alone. These flags are a visible declaration that Christians around the world are continuing to stand with the Jewish people. That's rare. Will you be one of those people? Are you brave enough to just display a Jewish flag, an Israeli flag? Or is that too much to ask?
Starting point is 01:45:00 Because if that's too hard, wow, the future is only going to be harder. Join FOF.org right now. Flags of Fellowship, join FOF.org now. Ten seconds. Station ID. So here's what you get. I think what we should take from the story. And you can read this whole article at glenbeck.com.
Starting point is 01:45:32 But in your own life, whether you're 18 or 80, you can wear somebody else's clothing, but you can't wear their calluses. If you really want to do something great with your life, go earn your calluses. Go on your own. Go get your own. Earn them. If you're one of the young people with a degree and the apron and the anger,
Starting point is 01:46:06 I'm not laughing at you. I'm not. I never finished college. I know what it's like to feel behind. But the way out has never been to wear a costume or anger or violence. It never has been. It has always been the work. Something that no one can take from you.
Starting point is 01:46:28 And nobody can fake it for you. The work is everything. You know, FDR, he knew that this. welfare state was bad. He called it work fair. You had to work to get the government to support you. Do you know why? Because he said the many you take work away from people, they lose their own self-respect. And that's what's happening. So many people are on the dole that they don't have respect for themselves. You know, the fastest way to wreck a child, if you're wealthy, the fastest way to wreck them is to give them everything. You know what happens? The strangest things, your parents
Starting point is 01:47:08 give you everything. You end up resenting them. That's a fact. Look it up. Oh my God. I sounded like Joe Biden there for a second. Anyway, Michaela ends the piece by saying, they expect you to sit in the audience and clap. The Russian peasant in 1874 had no vote, no newspaper, no degree. He had one thing. He knew what work looked like. So do you.
Starting point is 01:47:38 Don't clap. Look at their hands. Are they soft and supple and look like they've never worked a day in their life? Yeah. Then maybe, maybe when they put on the union label, they don't have an idea at all of what they're talking about and they cannot relate to being you and help you get out from the man.
Starting point is 01:48:07 because they are the man in disguise. All right. Final half hour of the program coming up next. Human beings have this wonderful concept called retirement. You work hard for 40 or 50 years. Eventually you get to slow down, relax, maybe take up golf, spend the rest of your life complaining about how much everything costs. But your dog's never heard of retirement.
Starting point is 01:48:35 You know, there's one word in Hebrew that doesn't exist. It exists in English and other languages, but not in Hebrew. retirement. There's no, there's, in God's language, there is, you're, you're working until you die. One way or another, you're serving until you die, you know, the, but the dog, I mean, they have the squirrel. Starting point is 01:50:10 that I just think is so amazing. We're just talking about electricians. And, you know, the left is talking right now about how we've just got to get rid of Elon Musk. We've got to put him in jail. He's going to be in jail. And they mean it.
Starting point is 01:50:26 They will put that guy in jail. And to me, Elon Musk is the quintessential example of the American we would all want to be. You know, that we are, inventors, we're explorers, we're doing things that just nobody had even thought of, and we're doing it with high, high quality and with integrity as well. And then, you know, don't you kind of want to be like, you know, Tony Stark in a way? If you were a billionaire, wouldn't you want to be kind of like Tony Stark?
Starting point is 01:50:59 And, you know, just do these crazy things you want. And then he's giving, what is it, $10 billion to the Trump accounts for the future of America? of putting his stock right into kids he doesn't know right into their portfolio he's putting Tesla SpaceX stock in there 10 billion dollars worth that's a great thing but he's also creating job listen to this this is cut eight these are um electricians who are now coming out in Memphis talking about the data centers with SpaceX listen to this there are so many people here today but They're actually not from Memphis. I'm going to give you a look into that right now.
Starting point is 01:51:43 Dallas, Fort Worth, Orlando, Florida. Augusta, Georgia, St. Petersburg, Florida. And the reason they're here today is data centers. Tell Elon Musk, the state. We love this money you giving us, man. Those aren't words heard too often in Memphis, where the debate over a data center moratorium remains one of the most heated in the city. But for the International Brotherhood of a Laborhood of a.
Starting point is 01:52:08 Electrical workers, data centers mean dollar signs. We haven't had this much work and money in a while, so to be down in the south and to get this much money is a big thing for the union. Big thing for us. We're talking over $8,000 a week. At least that's what electricians at IBEW's Midtown Office tell me, and it explains why they're coming from all over. I'm from IBW local 369, Louisville, Kentucky. I'm out of local 4-46, Monroe, Louisiana. We left boys that had a whole three days.
Starting point is 01:52:35 It took us three days to get here. we just got here. I slept in the parking lot. We made it here, what, 10 o'clock last night? It was already packed. And for those wondering, well, what about local workers? These electricians explained to me that locals get first call. If the people that's here want the job, they go first, and, you know, we come from other places and we'd be on book, too, and that's how we get the job. This is the gold rush. I'm sorry, but the data centers are the gold rush of today. And nobody's looking at this. The jobs that, it is creating.
Starting point is 01:53:09 All of the factories that are being built beyond the data centers, all those things that are coming down the horizon, it's not just going to be factory workers down the road. It's the building of these factories. It's the rebuilding of our infrastructure that is really on the horizon that I find exciting that nobody's really paying attention to, but maybe that's just me. Now, you have that,
Starting point is 01:53:32 or you can complain about people like Elon Musk. you could take, I mean, one of the things that the left is trying to do is make you hate corporations. Listen to this. Here's commies, you know, a montage from all of the media saying about corporate greed. Listen to this. Stickers more, they did a thing. And it's like 20% less for the same price. That's corporate greed.
Starting point is 01:53:58 There's a real distinction to be made between inflation and price gouging. A lot of these price increases are potentially due to, just straight price gouging by corporations. Some stores are even using dynamic pricing, jacking up the cost over the course of a day depending on what they can get away with. We will redirect city funds from corporate supermarkets to city-owned grocery stores, whose mission is lower prices, not price gouging. Price of grocery is still too high. I get it.
Starting point is 01:54:26 Which is why I have a plan that is about bringing down the cost of groceries, including going after corporate price gouging. Everybody goes to the grocery store. They don't want to get ripped off at the grocery store. So, yeah, absolutely. I can't take anymore. You get the point. I can't take any more.
Starting point is 01:54:41 Corporate greed. It was because they inflated our money and there was 22% inflation. That never is going to go away. Once you start to inflate money, unless you suck that money back with jacked high interest rates, you're not going to get that inflation to go away. But if you ask any socialist candidate in America, why are my groceries so? They tell you that same answer every time. Corporate greed, corporate greed.
Starting point is 01:55:06 the big companies have gouging you. Look, I have to tell you, if they, if, you know, the dynamic pricing, that is real and that is awful. But I don't understand why the socialist against it, because the people who will pay more are the people who have more. I mean, that's progressive, isn't it? But their cure always is to sell you more government. In New York, the mayor's planning the city-owned grocery stores,
Starting point is 01:55:33 30% discount on a basket of basics. You're not going to see that grocery store in a couple of years. If you're 22, you just paid $6 for a dozen eggs and $12 for a burger. And that doesn't feel right. I'm sorry, it doesn't. Every time I go through a drive-through, I'm like, this is insane. This is insane. So somebody's getting rich, and it's not me, right?
Starting point is 01:55:56 So let's test it, honestly. This is what you need to say to your socialist friends. Were the corporations greedy in 2015? Of course they were. 2016, yes. 2017, 18, 19. Of course, every year, they're greedy, right? Companies have always wanted the highest price they can get. That's not a secret. That's called business. All right. So in all of those years, inflation stayed low at 2% or less. Then in 2021, the price has exploded. The same time, the worst inflation in 40 years. So here's a question. Anybody who says it's greed. If greed
Starting point is 01:56:36 never changed, never changed, and always is the same. How do you explain the price as being under control until inflation kicks in? You know, when your car suddenly starts smoking, you're not blaming gravity. Gravity was there yesterday. You look for what's different. And here's what's different. In February of 2020, the total amount of money sloshing around the American economy in what economists call the M2 money supply. Trust me, you don't want to go down this road. I did this for over a year to learn all this stuff, so you don't have to.
Starting point is 01:57:13 But it's the M2 money supply. That's about $15.5 trillion. That means all the cash that is out, two years later, it was $21.8 trillion. That's a 40% jump in two years, more than $6 trillion new dollars. printed in two years. At the same time, the Federal Reserve more than doubled the size of its balance sheet from about $4 trillion to $9 trillion. They bought up all of our government debt and
Starting point is 01:57:47 mortgages with money that did not exist the day before. And then Congress started mailing checks. Three rounds of them, $1,200, then $1,400, then $1,400 per person. according to the IRS, about $814 billion went out in those payments alone. So almost a trillion dollars. This is not a one-party story. This is not a story of greed. This is a story of politicians. The first rounds of checks were signed by Donald Trump.
Starting point is 01:58:19 The third, Joe Biden. Both parties voted for the spending. Both parties cheered. The Fed doesn't belong to either one of those parties, but they're all in on it. If you're looking for a Republican villain or a Democratic villain, you're going to find both the villains are living in Washington, D.C. Everyone's a villain on this. And here's how it works. I want you to picture a small town for a second.
Starting point is 01:58:43 Okay? Picture a small town, 100 families, one bakery, and every week the bakery makes a thousand loaves of bread. On Monday, the government hands out a big fat check, but it doesn't handle it. hand the baker a single extra bag of flour. Okay. In fact, half of his workers are stuck at home. And his flour truck is sitting at the port.
Starting point is 01:59:10 But there's still only a thousand loaves. But now people have enough money to buy maybe two loaves of bread. Some of them want four loaves of bread because they like bread. What happens to the price of bread? What happens? You already know. I mean, you don't have a lot. to think like a baker. The baker didn't get greedier on Monday. The town had more dollars
Starting point is 01:59:32 chasing the same loaves of bread. There was a thousand loaves of bread. The baker can't make anymore. Now people want four loaves of bread. There was exactly one for every household. There's not enough. That's inflation. More money. The same stuff. Higher prices. That's exactly what Washington built. It shut down the bakeries and printed more money at the same time. Were there other factories? Yeah. Yeah. There were supply chains broke.
Starting point is 02:00:03 Energy spiked. A war in Ukraine. And did some of the countries in the chaos pad their margins? Of course, some did. Sure they did. A company can only raise its prices and keep its customers when the customers have money to pay. Who put money in their pockets? You did.
Starting point is 02:00:28 I did. Notice something about inflation. It doesn't show up as a tax bill. Nobody votes on it. Your paycheck stays exactly the same and your dollar buys less. It is the one tax politicians never have to defend, but it is the most pernicious of taxes. So, you know, when it hits, they point to the guy behind the counter.
Starting point is 02:00:55 The grocery store guy, he's the perfect scapegoat. You see the price there. You never see the printing press of the money. You see the price. He's got the smallest margin of anyone in your day. Now, what do the socialists do about it? They say we're going to control the prices. We're going to make the store charge less.
Starting point is 02:01:16 We're going to have the city run the store. Holy cow, is that a bad idea? You know, America tried this once? And it wasn't a socialist who did it. It was Richard Nixon in 1971. Anybody who was a big fan of Richard Nixon? Nixon now, remember he's the guy who froze wages and prices across the entire country because it was popular for a while. And then the shelves started to empty out. By 1973, feed for chickens
Starting point is 02:01:42 costs more than farmers were allowed to charge for chickens. So farmers drowned their baby chicks rather than raise them at a loss because they couldn't feed them and stay afloat. So they were drowning chickens. Wait, what? People watching it. on the evening news. The controls came off, inflation roared back worse than it was before. The lesson isn't about one party. Nixon was a Republican. It's about when any politician promised us to make things cheaper by ordering it, the thing doesn't get cheaper. It gets scarce. A low price on an empty shelf has never fed anyone. Ask the people in Venezuela who are eating dogs. A price is not a number somebody made up to hurt you. A price is a message. It tells the farmer,
Starting point is 02:02:37 grow more. It tells the trucker. This route is worth driving. When you pay more at a gas station, what is it telling you? Should tell you two things. It tells you war is costing us, and we need more oil and we need more refineries. It's a message. It's not a gouge. It's a message. It tells you maybe buy chicken this week instead of beef. When the government forces the price down, it doesn't change the cost. It cuts the phone line. It cuts the message coming to you. And when nobody can hear the message, nobody brings bread. That's why the free market is not a better choice. It's the only choice. Not because businessmen are saints, they're not. But in a free market, a greedy grocer has a problem.
Starting point is 02:03:36 Because the grocery across the street, if one store is gouging you, the one across the street undercuts it and takes its customers. Competition does what no regulator ever could. It makes greed serve you, not them. But when the city owns the grocery store, who's the competition? And if it loses money on every gallon of milk, who covers the loss? You do as the taxpayer.
Starting point is 02:04:05 You'll pay for that 30%. You'll pay that 30%. We're going to give you a discount. No, you're not. I'm going to pay for it in another way. You just pay for it at a different counter. So if you're thinking Marxism is great, you're not crazy. Life did get really, really, really expensive, fast.
Starting point is 02:04:27 But you're paying for, a party that you weren't invited to. But if you want to stop, aim at the right target. Ask the candidate what he's going to do about the spending, not the store, the government spending. And parents, next time your kids complain about a price, bring them back to the level of the local grocery store or the bakery. They'll get it in 30 seconds. Most of Congress doesn't get it today, but they will. Because there's still a rule that will save you in your money and in your life, this.
Starting point is 02:05:02 is what saves you. Before you blame the person in front of you, find out who wrote the rules they're playing by. The baker didn't print the money. He just put the price on the bread. Back in a minute. You know, if you scratch the paint on your car, it stays scratched. If you crack the screen on your phone, it doesn't grow a new screen. You know, your refrigerator breaks down. You can't stand there and encourage it all day long. It's not going to fix itself. But your body does something extraordinary. You cut your finger and it begins to repeat. You're the damage. You break a bone and under the right conditions, it will heal all day long, all day long.
