Starting point is 00:02:48 Year's Eve with the Glenn Beck program. Justin Barkley in for Glenn today back after this. Right here. Relief actor loves hearing from pain-free customers and hopes that you will be their next person. Bill wrote in and said, I have been crawling under sinks and working long hours for decades. My back and my knees took the punishment. And I thought my pain was just part of the trade. But relief factor surprised me. Within weeks, I was working without wincing. I could get down on the floor and get back up again without thinking twice. Bill knows hard work. He knows pipes, tools, long days on the job. What he didn't know is how good life feels when pain stops tagging along. It's relief factor. Relief factor didn't change Bill.
Starting point is 00:03:37 trade. It changed his tomorrow. They've changed mine too. And this is why I recommend you give Relief Factor a try today. Starting point is 00:04:16 and that's why we're here with you through it, and we thank you for being here with it. It's Justin Barkley and for Glenn today. My last day filling in, and Matt, I just tell you, I am tremendously honored every time. I get a chance to sit in Glenn's seat
Starting point is 00:04:28 and be here with you. This audience is the smartest, the boldest, the bravest, and I got to tell you, there is just none like it, and I'm completely grateful for it. And as I mention, these days,
Starting point is 00:04:41 it's, there's never a dull moment. It's like drinking from a firehouse. That's normally what I say these days. But I really feel like this break has been it. And it is one doozy of a year to wrap up, too. Now, I'm not going to probably be able to get to all the standard, you know, because this is usually what you do.
Starting point is 00:05:00 You feel in or you get these shows at the end of the end. Hey, here's the year in the rear. Wait a minute. No, this is the year in the rear view mirror or, you know, the review. This is the best. The kids are calling it the rap. What is it, the rap now, the 2025 rap. You get that on all your apps and stuff.
Starting point is 00:05:20 We'll say, hey, here's what you listen to and all that. I just think there's too much of that to even cover. Well, maybe we'll talk about some of the big, maybe the major milestones, and the Trump presidency has been the second term, probably the biggest. And the most massive. Yet there were some big stories. Maybe we'll be able to touch on some of that. look forward also predictions into 2026, but I'm telling you, the news has been so prominent.
Starting point is 00:05:52 It has been so aggressive. It's over the top. As a kid say, it's doing too much these days. It's too much. But it is. It really, it's been a wild, wild break. And so when Glenn comes back, I can't imagine. He's going to be just revitalized, ready to grow.
Starting point is 00:06:11 And I think that's Monday morning. full of fire and fury, but well-rested, tanned, and the rest of it. So he'll be ready to go with you. In the meantime, she just said it. You're trying to come back and talk about all the things that have happened during the break. That's got to be a task in itself. Carolyn just said it. White House spokesperson over on Fox and Friends this morning, I believe, was the conversation about handcuffs.
Starting point is 00:06:42 and the folks involved with the Somali pirate fraud. Governor Walls is completely incompetent. He always has been, and President Trump has long called him out for his incompetence and his poor leadership in the great state of Minnesota. I want to commend Nick Shirley
Starting point is 00:06:59 for his incredible video in real journalism that went viral this past week. He epitomizes what new media looks like, and that's exactly why we at the White House under President Trump's direction have embraced new. media journalists like Nick Shirley we've welcomed them in to the White House Press pool we invited Nick Shirley to brief the president of you know all that's
Starting point is 00:07:20 all of this is true and never seen anything like it before I tell you I've had invitations and gone to the White House and never had that opportunity before as a local radio host and a podcaster etc I mean they really have they've they've they've kind of taken this into a whole new a whole new level and they're absolutely right and by the way these are the folks that got elected if you think about it president Trump gets elected with the strategy of going on. Everything sort of shifted last year.
Starting point is 00:07:49 I had him on probably three, maybe four times. And then everything shifted like mid of the year last year as they moved to the strategy of going on lots of streaming shows, podcasts and things like that. And the bigger, you know, the bigger shows. So that was very successful because you end up on shows like Joe Rogan. you know, Sean Ryan and obviously Glenn Show here and podcast form sitting down long form conversation. And they did. They had some great access to the guy that nobody. You think Joe Biden was ever going to offer that access?
Starting point is 00:08:26 Kamala certainly was. She couldn't even be bothered to fly out to go on Joe Rogan's show. And thus that brought the young people, I think, right along with them, very, very, very upset about the way things are going, looking at somebody who can make some changes and he has so far. Again, I don't want to get too far off track here, but she makes that point. Look at the impact. You want to talk about 20, 25, year and a rear?
Starting point is 00:08:52 Well, take a look at the impact that new media, alternative media, has had. I mean, is mainstream media, dad? It's a really good question. I don't know that it's fully, but it's on life support. people like Nick Shirley and of course X pushing this out the platform formerly Twitter Elon Musk having a big role in that as well
Starting point is 00:09:17 everything has changed what Elon said you are the media now big big difference so her point is is well taken United States at an Antifa roundtable earlier this year and this fraud in governor walses state in minnesota is something that trump administration has been working on since day one and since Since Nick Shirley's journalism really brought this issue further to light, we have surged resources across the board to the state. So I want your audience to understand. This is a top priority for the administration. The Department of Justice, as we speak, is continuing to execute search warrants and subpoenas.
Starting point is 00:09:56 People will be in handcuffs as a result of the fraud that Governor Walls has allowed to occur for many, many years. The Department of Homeland Security. Wait a minute. Roll it back. People will be in handcuffs. People will be in handcuffs. Now, I understand because I get it. Some of you, Chicken Little Sky is falling black pillars. I get it. I understand, too. I want to see accountability. I want to see arrests. I want to see all of that happen. Is it happening at the speed that I'd like it to? Probably not. I will tell you, I'm a little more patient.
Starting point is 00:10:35 because I understand some of the things happening behind the scenes. Some of it were in the dark about, and I think that can add to the tension here. But I am optimistic because I am, I know what I know, and it's hard to explain this, but I'm also seeing some of the things that we would like to see happen behind the scene. One of the things, I want to just tell you this, because this hit me the other day.
Starting point is 00:11:01 You know, one of the big problems here with all of this is, happening in the Senate where President Trump's judicial appointments and some of these appointments that have to get made you gotta get some is it possible and you just walk down that row with me that you've got to get some of these judges in place
Starting point is 00:11:19 so that you can when you do bring these cases through that you've got good people to see them to hear them that's why part of the problem of the Senate right now is essentially this whole
Starting point is 00:11:38 this whole business the way they do things right now of not approving and then they have their own it's a it's a corrupt system we just call it what it is it's corrupt and it's standing in the way of getting the progress made here in the country and that's that's one thing that will be a big spotlight
Starting point is 00:11:56 I think there will be a big spotlight on that coming up in the new year but she said it they're going to be arrest made, they are coming. As a result of the fraud that Governor Walls has allowed to occur for many, many years, the Department of Homeland Security is conducting door-to-door investigations on the ground at potential fraud sites, and they are also, of course, conducting continued deportations of illegal aliens
Starting point is 00:12:23 in Minnesota's communities. We're also not afraid to use denaturalization. That's... Oh, that's a... Boy, that's a whole other ball of wax, isn't it? Yeah, deportations. denaturalization, any of these folks that were caught breaking the law ban, but just send them back. Well, they've been here for 20 years. Send it doesn't matter. Send them back. Send them to jail. Send them back.
Starting point is 00:12:48 Teeth is what we're talking about here, folks. Teeth in what needs to occur. We've got accountability. It's coming through. Meanwhile, there are calls for walls to step down. We're going to talk about that coming up in the program as well. well, from folks who are actually making that call. Big news yesterday as well.
Starting point is 00:13:09 They've frozen all child care payments to the state of Minnesota. HHS at the leadership of the president, of course, RFK Jr., the secretary there, health and human services. They've come together with a statement yesterday talking about this. So in other words, the money stopped flowing until we get this business sorted out, folks. Hello, I'm HHS Deputy Secretary Jim O'Neill. I'm here with Assistant Secretary Alex L. Adams. Alex oversees the administration for children and families.
Starting point is 00:13:38 Intrepid journalists have made shocking and credible allegations of extensive fraud in Minnesota's child care programs. We believe the state of Minnesota has allowed scammers and fake daycares to siphon millions of taxpayer dollars over the past decade. Can you imagine the Somali pirate daycare? Can you imagine this would have ever been a thing? Fake cares, is what I call them. Fake daycares. They normally, send about $185 million in child care phones to Minnesota annually. They are cutting off the payments now. By the way, these new rules are going into effect.
Starting point is 00:14:15 Looks like nationwide for some of these programs for all ACF payments. Now, this is massive because, and by the way, what are the new rules? We'll talk about that here in a second. But this is massive because it's not just Minnesota. And I've been making that clear. I think we're just looking at the tip of the iceberg here. It's not just Minnesota. We've heard Ohio and Massachusetts.
Starting point is 00:14:42 I think Maine was mentioned the other day. I think state after there would be no state after it's all said and done with. I think when you start to really turn over all of these stunts, there'll be no state that's left incorrupted, incorruptible. Is that the word? Is that what I'm looking at? There is there be no state left without any of the shenanigans going on. that's that's that's unfortunately i just think it's everywhere i think it's pervasive
Starting point is 00:15:09 i think this is one of those situations that you're talking about just you you've you've really just sort of barely barely begun to scratch the surface of it all and talk more about that coming up this morning and join the program you can love to hear from you email me just at justinbarkley.com b a r cly y justin at justin barclay dot com having some great conversations with folks over the last few days the chance to have those conversations and join in at mr justin barclay all over social media live from grand rapids michigan today filling in for glen on the glenbeck program back right after this 60 seconds the older i get the more i think about trust i think about the people in my life who have my trust and earned my
Starting point is 00:15:57 trust. And the trust that I have placed in some people who I later learned abused that trust. I know we're alike in that way. We don't trust a lot of people anymore. It's like we're all Ronald Reagan trust, but always verify to make sure we're not making a mistake. I find it a little exhausting, quite honestly, and that's why I started real estate agents I trust.com. I didn't have good experiences with buying and selling my homes. So we built real estate agents I trust to introduce you to one of the thousands of agents all over the country that we work with, that we have verified that they will help you have the most successful and good real estate transaction possible. Our network agents share our sensibilities, have great track records, are good and decent people, and I trust them to help
Starting point is 00:16:40 you with your real estate needs. So whether you're moving across town or across the country, visit real estate agents, I trust.com. The name says it all, real estate agentsitrust.com. Finally, you see this, they finally fix the sign. The quality leering center. Or they're in the process of trying to fix it anyway. They patched it up. And this whole thing is just to laugh. Anyway, one of the daycares where there were no kids.
Starting point is 00:17:17 Now they claim the kids don't start coming in until two. And then they leave eventually at 10. And that's been a whole bone of contention. Because now, you know, Democrats and other folks in the meter out there say, well, no, no, no, no. You've got this all wrong. In fact, you won't believe what Tim Walz is saying about the whole... Well, you probably will.
Starting point is 00:17:37 He's calling it political. Yeah, that's a whole other... We'll get into that coming up here in just a little bit. But first, I want to give you the rest of the story, as I see with this HHS announcement, big changes coming, not just for Minnesota, but for all states, really. My office, ACF, provides Minnesota $185 million in child care funds each year. That money should be helping 19,000 American children, including toddlers and infants.
Starting point is 00:18:04 Any dollar stolen by fraudsters is stolen from those children. Yesterday, I spoke directly with the director of the Minnesota Child Care Services Office. She could not tell me with confidence whether those allegations of fraud are isolated or whether there's fraud stretching statewide. Well, I mean, come on. Today, we have taken three direct actions against the blatant fraud that seems to be rampant in Minnesota. First, I have activated our defend the spend system for all ACF child care payments across America. Starting today, we require a justification, receipt, or photo evidence before we make a payment. Wow, that's, and now, you, I don't know about you, but you hear this and you're going to think to yourself,
Starting point is 00:18:47 though, why? This sounds pretty common sense. Why weren't we doing that? You know when Elon went in with Doge and was digging into everything, they found all of this money, like federal money, and once a spigot, we were leaking like the Titanic. Once a spicket was turned on, they had no idea in some places why, where the money was supposed to be even, there's no way to even track it. It was just turned on in these payments.
Starting point is 00:19:13 We're just automatically going out monthly or quarterly or whatever it might be. You stop the bleeding. How do you even, how do you even, how do you even, tried to do some of it? They've now given the opportunity to the administration, really excuse to be able to do it here in every case. Hey, prove, prove that this is legit and you'll get the money. Second, I've just signed and sent a demand letter to Governor Walls. I required a full 360 review of these centers. This includes attendance records, licenses, complaints, investigations, and inspections.
Starting point is 00:19:53 And third, we've launched a dedicated fraud reporting hotline. an email address at childcare.gov, whether you're a parent, a provider, a member of the public, we want to hear from you. Let me be crystal clear. ACF expects every state to uphold the highest standards of oversight, monitoring, and accountability for federal dollars. I mean, that's just it. There is and has been no oversight, and you would say, how could they get away with this? And I would tell you, this isn't the failed system. This is the function of the system. This is exactly how it is supposed to operate and the point of it this entire time. That is why we are in the mess that we're in.
Starting point is 00:20:35 You have a class of people, the elites. Now, this isn't completely, it's not one-sided altogether with Democrats. I can tell you the difference between the two, but it's not one-sided altogether with the Democrats. Republicans, deep-staters on both sides have been involved with this. and why I call it deep. Well, just people that they make their living doing this. They, all they do is, the government team.
Starting point is 00:21:03 I mean, this is what they do. They have no, serve no other purpose. They create nothing. All they do is take their takers. That's it. Now, I'm not talking about people all the way down at the bottom. In some cases, there are those people too. But what I'm talking about are the big fish, the whales.
Starting point is 00:21:18 These are the people that have embedded. There are leeches in the system. They are ticks, and they've got to be cut off. off. We do need to see people in jail for this. That is the accountability. As Carolyn Levin has said, you will see handcuffs coming out of this. It's on the way. More on the story. In fact, I will tell you there's some things that Tim Walls is saying himself I want to get into coming up in the program today. But also this. What a story. There is a reporter for Politico. Because one of the things has been interesting to watch about this isn't just the story itself. It's that,
Starting point is 00:21:54 Yes, that is interesting. Let's dig into it. But the reaction of the story and the reaction of media to the story. And one of the most interesting things I've seen is local media is starting to pick up the ball and run with it. They actually start to do their jobs. Now, in some cases, you can't completely blame these people. These people have been cut local television stations, newspapers all over the country, because the business model just doesn't work anymore.
Starting point is 00:22:17 So they don't have as many people on the rolls. They're doing the jobs that they should be. These are the folks that should be doing the investigative journal. All they do, really, at this point, is they farm out everything that's already been done for the work that's already been done for them at the network level. So they're starting to see that. Another reaction, which I thought was just wild and evil altogether, is a reporter with Politico that was encouraging Somalis to shoot investigative reporters knocking on the doors of the daycare centers. a story that's wild, almost unbelievable if you don't know who we're up against. We'll get to that on the way on the Glenn Beck program.
Starting point is 00:23:00 This is Glenn Beck. If you're upgrading your window treatments but don't want the hassle, blinds.com is here to change the game. The Days of Ash, our new series revealing the moments when civilizations turn and how to spot them today. premieres January 5th at glenbeck.com. Yeah, we were just talking about this off the air. Apparently, black-eyed peas after the ball drops is the thing. Ask me, did you do that?
Starting point is 00:24:52 Do you do that? And BJ said, he does it every year. And I go, I can't, no, I can't even count on the amount. Not a black-eyed pea guy. I am a cornbread guy. So usually when I've had the black-eyed piece, I've had the cornbread with it, but it's just not, something that we do. Now, maybe that's
Starting point is 00:25:10 because we're Yankees. Uh, and it's only, is it only a southern thing? I don't know. You know, later on the show, we should open up and maybe we can hear from you and, uh, I mean, it's, it's a good idea. Maybe you can tell me, Justin to Justin Barkley.com or give us a call. Let us know. What do you?
Starting point is 00:25:28 What, what is it? Is it, is it something that you're going to be doing? Is there some sort of tradition or whatnot with the bull draw? I don't, I'm not, I just, I, I, very rarely make it to the, ball drop. I think I will this year, but I very rarely make it to the ball dropping anymore. It's kind of like, I think there was, well, I've seen it all. I've seen it. It's kind of amateur night, and that's the way I look at it. But at the end of the day, and I don't really have a lot of, I don't have a lot of those superstitions and things that I do. But I think it'll be an interesting,
Starting point is 00:26:04 it is interesting to hear from you anyway. All right, folks, I wanted to talk about. We were just talking about this story, and my good friend James Dixon is on with this right now. In fact, he's got a show called the James Dixon podcast. He's written for numerous publications. I won't even name them all, but most recently he's written for the folks in Detroit and the Detroit News. And, of course, done some things at the Boston Globe. He's been all over. I think I heard you say the other day, your first piece in college was kind of a big deal for you
Starting point is 00:26:38 that got you moving. Hey, good morning, James. Welcome, then. I appreciate you being here on the Glenback program. Good morning, Justin. It's great to hear your voice. And, yeah, it was a real blessing. So this was February 2006. I was a 22-year-old man, and to have the chance to have a story published a national review was like every dream come true. When a career is young, you need those moments of validation.
Starting point is 00:27:03 Heck, I'm 20 years older than that, and I still need moments of validation. And when they come, you just remember them forever. And, yeah, so that was kind of the start of the journey, and here we are. The reason I bring that up, James, is because there's a story, and I saw you comment about this on X, and I felt very similar. But it's just this whole thing in Minnesota, in fact, everything that Trump does really exposes people for who they are, but particularly folks in the media. I know you've been very critical.
Starting point is 00:27:36 You've been very outspoken about it. And someone I set this up to share that James is somebody that's been inside the belly of the beast. He knows how the sausage is made. We'll pull the curtain back for you and tell you about, in fact, it has no problem doing that. I'll tell you about who these people are and what they're doing. But this story, to me, it should be a surprise, but it's not anymore a legal reporter for Politico. In fact, I thought the best part was how much he got roasted for what he said online. made shocking comments essentially saying that if Nick Shirley or any investigative reporter knocks on the door of a Somali daycare or any other place being investigated, that those folks ought to shoot them.
Starting point is 00:28:23 I mean, that's the way I took the comments. Well, that's exactly the way it was written. And when you think about the wording of the tweet, right, Josh Gerstein talks about, oh, amateurs knocking on doors. Well, amateurs as opposed to what? right? The implication is that the professionals, they're not doing the job. The pros aren't doing the job. And so what they're saying is nobody should be doing the work. This makes more sense when you understand journalists to be synonymous with communists.
Starting point is 00:28:56 Because those streams run right next to each other these days. It wasn't always this way, but there's always been a strain of fake news that's paired with the news, even with on the same page, even within the same sentence or story. And so we always have to be aware, but this is new. This is new. This is not just, you know, being critical of what's reported. Essentially, Josh Gerstein is saying, hey, if someone were, you know, nice career you have there, Nick Shirley. Shame if something were to happen.
Starting point is 00:29:29 Shame if you were to be attacked. And stand your ground laws do not in Florida, Michigan, or anywhere mean that you can just shoot someone through a door. A senior legal reporter at Politico would obviously know that, but he said it anyway. You would hope so. Here's the tweet or the post on X, word for work. Quote, at some point, the amateur effort to knock on doors of home daycares intersects with robust stand-your-ground laws, end quote.
Starting point is 00:29:59 Now, there's a couple of things wrong with that. Legally, that's just not true. It's completely off-based. And secondly, these aren't home daycares. These are small businesses, professional supposedly, with signs out front that are misbelled and everything else. So it's just wild to see this because he completely gets it wrong in every aspect of the post. Now, from what I understand, it's still up.
Starting point is 00:30:27 Has he backtracked on this at all? Oh, no. He tried to explain further that I don't mean this should happen. I'm just saying it could happen. which is, and the problem with journalism is that journalists are stupid but think they are smart. Yeah. So they do. They play little word games like this and they think no one knows what they mean by it. They think that their bylines are, oh, I carry this thing straightforward, but then you go on Twitter and you see that they're a flaming lib. Like they think we all, we're unable to read the evidence and read the signals and we're not. And the real problem is in this day and age, everybody,
Starting point is 00:31:05 has access to the same search bar. So a guy like Nick Shirley's a real threat because he's actually making use of it. I saw another attempt to shoot down Shirley's report, CBS News. They put what was clearly a house cat desk reporter. They put him, made him stand outside a little bit in Minneapolis and essentially say he'd made a phone call and found out that a lot of these businesses weren't fraudulent.
Starting point is 00:31:29 And so your response to a guy who did man on the street reporting and found hundreds of millions of dollars in fraud, is to put a desk reporter outside to make it appear as if he did the same thing when all he made was as little as one phone call. I call all of this, whether it's the veiled death threats, whether it's the fake news trying to exonerate these fraudsters. I call all of it unjournalism because these days, these people aren't even motivated by a search for truth. he's down i-75 over on twitter x uh james dixon the james dixon podcast you know it's wild about all of this is that these people these local people could have been doing the reporting uh themselves the shirley didn't just you know right find this out of the blue he was approached by people in
Starting point is 00:32:22 minnesota that actually have been digging into this that said this is a real problem nobody else will cover. Now, I don't know about you. I have the same thing happen to me on a daily basis where I get pins too much. I can't deal with them all. A lot of times I have to hand them off to different folks to see if we can get some traction. But these people are hitting, they're hitting dead ends when they go to these news organizations. That's why we've ended up with Nick Shirley's. That's exactly it. Truth is a blue lake, Justin. It's a blue lake on an August day with not another boat on the water. out the whole thing to yourself. Because the media has become so wrapped in these narratives, and so they're so openly
Starting point is 00:33:06 rooting for the Democrat Party at this point, I call it the Democrat Media Alliance. And so nothing true is going to come out of that alliance. They will only say what benefits them. And so if they have to try to shoot down a reporter's work, they'll do it. If they have to imply that a reporter should be shot for doing actual work, they'll do it. Because think about it, Justin. a part of us, a heart of hearts, right? That knows that we are full of it. And so if you're a journalist, you know you don't have any scoops, you know you mostly do coverage and reheated
Starting point is 00:33:39 versions of other people's work. And you see some 23-year-old kid, get the herald, get the attention, get the acclaim that you never have because you've never broken a story. What are you going to do? Are you going to take stock of things over this Christmas break and say, hey, I'm going to go harder. I'm going to report the news? Or do you say the guy should be shot and killed? Josh Gerstein is the legal reporter there for political that this is in question. By the way, the story is everywhere, but we've also posted it on the stack at Justin Barkley.com. James, another story that I really wanted to cover with you originally is the story out of Michigan
Starting point is 00:34:19 and what's happening with elections here. This is a major story. I don't think it's just Michigan, but it is potentially, One of the bigger stories in 2026 as we move into such a big election year. You've uncovered something yourself as you are digging that folks need to hear about and why this is going to matter moving into the new year and in this big election year. I'm going to talk about that coming up in just a moment. If you can hang with us past the break, ring the alarm on it.
Starting point is 00:34:50 Coming up after this, the ghost voters, that Michigan Secretary of State, the Democrat who's going to see her oversee her own election as governor coming up this year. Oh, I'm sure there's nothing to see here. We'll pull the curtain back on all of it after this on the Glenn Beck program. Back next. Keep your powder dry and your conscience clear. This is Glenn Beck. We are only a few weeks into winter and already brutal cold, huge snowstorms and of course power outage. Think about this. If the power goes out, when it's really cold, do you have a way to keep yourself and your family warm? Winter power outages can even be life-threatening. We learned this in Texas not too long ago. That's why so many Americans are getting a Vesta off-grid heater from my Patriot supply. It's a space heater. It doesn't use electricity or propane. It runs on something called canned heat, and it's an indoor safe fuel. With Vesta, if you have it stashed in your closet, you know you can keep warm, keep your kids warm no matter what.
Starting point is 00:36:09 and it even doubles as a stove to cook your food in case you have an electric cooktop. The best part is right now you can get the Vesta and a bunch more preparedness gear as free gifts when you order the winter survival kit from My Patriot Supply.com slash Glenn. Go to Mypatriot supply.com slash Glenn. See everything that's included. The offer is not going to last long. So go to Mypatriotsupply.com slash Glenn. Mypatriotsupply.com slash Glenn.
Starting point is 00:36:34 This is what I wanted to cover out of Michigan. Fantastic reporting from James. Dixon and the story about the Michigan voter rolls and what's happening here with our Secretary of State. Why are Michigan's voter rolls so bloated? Going into the 2024 election, Michigan had 500,000 more registered voters than we have voting age adults. Michigan is a slow or no-growth state of 10 million people. So how Jocelyn Benson finds 750,000 new voters just between July and October? Shout out to Anna Hoffman for that report, by the way. Well, She's done it before.
Starting point is 00:37:21 This might be a case of history repeating. You remember Eric, the electronic registration information center. Officially states joined Eric to compare their voter rolls and eliminate duplicates. In reality, Eric finds eligible but unregistered adults in each state and member states are required to reach out to them. We've sent Jocelyn Benson Foyers for the eligible but unregistered reports
Starting point is 00:37:44 that Eric sent to Michigan. Despite calling herself the transparency candidate, Benson has denied them. In September 2020, using Eric Data, Benson sent postcards to 700,000 eligible but unregistered adults in Michigan. That was almost 10% of their vote tally and a high turnout election. In four months of 2025, Benson has added almost 10% of new people to our already fat voter rolls. You know, this system, by the way, great report, and there's more, I'll make sure it's posted online for you right now in the stack. But this system, James, you probably note this, wasn't created to add people to the vote.
Starting point is 00:38:25 It was really supposedly sold to us that would help take, you know, people off of these bloated rolls. Isn't that the way I supposedly understand this? That's exactly it. And so the thing of Eric is, hey, if state A and state B have the same voter on the rolls, they talk to each other, they talk to the voter and figure out who should eliminate. the voter, right? Simple enough. Sounds good. But what actually happens in the thing behind the thing on Eric is they send these annual reports to member states called eligible but unregistered. A member state, unless you have a specific exemption, a member state has to then reach out to
Starting point is 00:39:06 those people. And so that's how 700,000 postcards go out on the eve of the election. Now, what are the chances in the state that registers people to vote when they get a driver's license, they do anything with state government, what are the chances that 10% of the voting population was found on the eve of the election, just not registered, right? Pretty much none. Then you look at this year in four months, July to October, Jocelyn Benson added 700,000 people to the voter rolls in just four months. So, Gretton Whitver has been, our governor has been studying, you know, why is Michigan shrinking? What can we do about population? She should have put Jocelyn Benson in charge of the whole thing. She's the only one who finds growth.
Starting point is 00:39:50 Incredible. And this is a story, by the way, I don't, it's probably not the only place this is happening, but these are the tactics. It's a blueprint. It's the playbook of the Democrat Party. And anytime I don't listen, I don't know this for a fact, but I just have, I don't know, call it a gut instinct here, but this whole thing that we're seeing in Minneapolis and Minnesota and whatnot, I guarantee it ties in to voters.
Starting point is 00:40:16 as well. And we'll see this connect at some point, if that's the case. And it's funny to me to watch it all kind of get exposed at this point, because this is the playbook, this is how they do it, it's why they do it. And it's also why folks, independents,
Starting point is 00:40:33 doing the actual work of journalists, journalists, and journalism that should be done by the big folks, they've abdicated that position. It's why it matters. James Dixon, over on down I-75 X and Twitter, James Dixon, the James Dixon podcast.
Starting point is 00:40:48 Thank you, my friend, for taking a time to be here with us today and shine a line on these important. In fact, the president shared this video out himself. Very cool. It's incredible. It was a middle of the night tweet on Christmas morning. It's the best Christmas gift I've ever gotten. God is good.
Starting point is 00:41:07 And Justin, happy New Year, brother. You too. Happy New Year, James. More coming up on the Glenn Beck program as we've got so much more to discuss today. In fact, we've talked about some of the good things that are happening. You know, all this bad stuff you're hearing about. There is good news. The lights getting shone on all of it.
Starting point is 00:41:24 And that's great, but there are good things happening too. In that first year, the president's been in office. And, in fact, we've got some of the economic good news to share with you as we continue next on the Glenn Beck program. Join us, if you like. Love to hear from a triple 877 back. Justin at Justin Barclay.com. The email back next. Happy New Year.
Starting point is 00:41:48 This is Glenn Beck. He's been aboard of Viarai. Embarked and profited. Embarked and relax. Syrot. Bookine. Oh, that also. And profite.
Starting point is 00:42:16 Viaray, the voice that we love that we love. In this case, it's because of the economy. Stupid. Well, they just can't stand some of the stories that have come out. So why they're fighting so hard against it. Gas prices low as they've been in five years. It's incredible to watch. Some of the latest numbers we've had GDP and the inflation and all of this,
Starting point is 00:43:41 gearing up to make a massive move in 2026. And that would be helpful for the midterms, at least for us. Not for them necessarily. And maybe that's why they just can't stand it to see America. Great again. We'll talk about that. And what is on the horizon, we'll see. speak with U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach coming up next. This guy has a very interesting story. In fact,
Starting point is 00:44:08 he was involved with a, it was something that made history a couple of weeks back. You won't want to miss it. We're back after this. Justin Barkley and for Glendon today on the Glenbeck program. The older I get, the more I think about trust. I think about the people in my life who have my trust and earned my trust and the trust that I have placed in some people who I later learned abused that trust. So we built real
Starting point is 00:44:52 estate agents I trust to introduce you to one of the thousands of agents all over the country that we work with, that we have verified that they will help you have the most successful and good real estate transaction possible. Our network agents share our sensibilities, have great track records, are good and decent people, and I trust them to help you with your real estate needs. So whether you're moving across town or across the country, visit real estate agents, I trust.com. The name says it all, real estate agents, I trust.com. You can imagine politically it's not great for Democrats. Nobody thought he'd get elected and nobody thought he'd be able to turn things around the way it. Things are already moving in big ways.
Starting point is 00:45:39 We just named a couple of those. I want to talk about what's on the way in the horizon here for the economy moving into the new year. 6.18% 30-year fixed mortgage. That's down. 3% shelter inflation, 2.7% overall inflation down a little bit. But the GDP number there, the last one, 4.3% booming. Yeah, you know, these numbers, I think it's sometimes... Lots of green on the screen, by the way.
Starting point is 00:46:06 here. The Trump economy in review 2025, by the way, that was the name of that segment and the numbers on Fox and Friends as they look at back in this last year, what the president's already been able to accomplish and what is ahead into the
Starting point is 00:46:22 new year and more. We've heard lots of interesting reports on this. In fact, wanted to talk with U.S. Treasurer, Brandon Beach about some of this. You'll know him for something that is one of the most interesting things I think in And maybe in the history making and the history of the country, we'll talk about that in just a moment. He was part of, in fact, he meant it the last penny ever.
Starting point is 00:46:48 And it just went up for auction. We'll talk about who bought it and how much it sold for coming up in a moment too. But, Mr. Treasurer, thank you so much for being here with us today. Really appreciate you taking the time. Well, Justin, thanks for having me. And happy New Year to you and your listeners. You know, 2026 is going to be a great year. You know, when you look at what the president's done, we've laid the foundation in 2025 with what Secretary Besson and he have both done on tariffs and, you know, having an even playing field from a standpoint there.
Starting point is 00:47:24 And then when you see the big, beautiful bill, when it kicks in with the tax cuts and the refunds and I think interest rates are going to continue to drop. And as you said earlier in your program, I just paid $2.21 a gallon for gas the other day. Gas prices are going to continue to come down. And I think we're going to have a really great 2026. The other thing that I think people aren't really thinking about is what we're going to do from a tourism standpoint in 2026. You've got World Cup coming to our country. In Atlanta, for example, we're going to have eight games. And that's like four Super Bowls from an economic impact standpoint.
Starting point is 00:48:00 So that's going to be big for our country. Plus, it's going to showcase our country for future economic development. So I'm really excited about World Cup also, and we're doing the coins for World Cup. The U.S. Men is, and that's going to be a fun project where we've been working on. Yeah, we've got to talk about some of these coins here in just a second. This is from the Secretary talking about what you just mentioned, which is the massive tax cuts and what that means as money really starts to flow in 2026, and what's that going to mean for your pocket in our economy. What we are going to see next year, that if you think about the signature
Starting point is 00:48:38 parts of the tax bill, I think that the powerful, the most powerful parts had the immediate expensing for American business, permanent for equipment, and then four or five year window for factories. So we are already seeing a CAPEX boom. So 2025 was a CAP-X boom. I think that is going to accelerate with all the trade deals we've done. I was just about six weeks ago in my hometown of Charleston, South Carolina, Boeing, the largest employer there, is increasing their plant by 50% for the Dreamliners result of the trade deals, but it's also part of the tax deal.
Starting point is 00:49:23 So we're going to continue seeing this CAP-X boom that turns in an employment boom. the other side for working Americans, the president, I led the administrations team up on the hill in terms of what was non-negotiable for the president. And a lot of traditional Republicans didn't like his campaign promises to working Americans. And the president never yielded on this. So no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, no tax on Social Security, deductibility of auto loans for American-made cars. So the bill was done on July 4th. It's retroactive to the beginning of the year for working Americans retroactive to January 20th for corporates. So working Americans, I also have the honor of being the IRS Commissioner, and I can see that we're going to have a gigantic refund year in the first quarter because no one chains their working Americans did not change their withholding. So I think households could see, depending on the number of workers, $1,000, $2,000 refunds, they will change their withholding schedule at the beginning of the year,
Starting point is 00:50:39 and they will get an automatic increase in real wages. So I think that's going to be a very, I think that's going to be a very powerful combo. That's incredible. And if you can understand this, that was the Secretary of the Treasury, and we've got U.S. Treasury Brand of Beach with us right now. What he's saying is a couple of things. I'll say Secretary Beset, Besson has done a great job. I mean, you look at what he's done on tariffs,
Starting point is 00:51:04 but also in the big, beautiful bill. He played a major part in that. And we're going to see the fruits of that with those refunds, like he said. So that's going to be big. I was talking to a waitress last night at the restaurant, and she's looking forward to doing her W-2 and not having to pay taxes on tips. That money will go in her pocket.
Starting point is 00:51:23 This is incredible because he said, not only do you have the business piece, which is, I think, going to be big for jobs, as he mentioned, but the other side of that, as you said, was the tax on tips. People have not, they have not adjusted, so they're going to get big refunds. And then when they do adjust, because they realize they need to do this at the beginning of the year, they're going to have more money in their paycheck and their actual paycheck. I mean, this is incredible. Well, and Justin, I don't know if you read in the Wall Street Journal just the other day that
Starting point is 00:51:55 There's over a trillion dollars of construction just on data centers alone in the United States going on right now. That's just construction on data centers. That's not other manufacturing facilities like that are going on, all these jobs coming back to America. The construction industry is booming right now. And then in 18 months, we'll see permanent manufacturing jobs anywhere from 12 to 18 months from now after the construction's done. The economy is going to be booming in this 2026. It's going to really be on fire, especially like you said, the GDP at 4.3%, the money flowing, the construction jobs. You know, I just think we're going to be doing very well, and interest rates continuing dropping.
Starting point is 00:52:38 And then what Doug Bergam and Chris Wright are doing with energy, not only independence, but energy dominance, you're going to see the fruits of that. And when, you know, energy costs come down, transportation costs come down, food costs comes down, you're going to see a lot of, movement in the next six months. So we've looked at some of these pieces here. Obviously, this is what we can expect, obviously, what the president has done in the first year, what we can expect in the next year. But I want to talk about some of the other things that are happening to. In fact, Secretary Beach with us right now has made history, and I got a chance to talk
Starting point is 00:53:16 to you. I think before the auction happened, he was involved in how, meant this last penny. So we're done with pennies. But they've auctioned this thing off now, and I love for you to tell us a little bit about how much it went for millions and millions of dollars and who actually bought it. As far as I know, Glenn likes to get in on these auctions. I don't think Glenn bought the penny. I don't think it's Glenn Beck's penny, but somebody else did. This is fantastic, though.
Starting point is 00:53:44 Well, I can tell you, it was historic. And I've been fortunate as a state senator and now as treasure to do a lot of really great things, cool things. and unique things. And I will tell you, when I held that last penny, I took a deep breath and I realized what was happening here. This was the last penny that we were going to strike in the history of our country. And it was a very neat opportunity to do that. And we did it because it was part of President Trump's common sense policies.
Starting point is 00:54:16 The penny, before COVID, we did 9.2 billion pennies a year. we produced. Last year, we only did $2 billion. So the demand went down and yet the cost tripled. It was costing us $4.5 to produce a penny. And, you know, President Trump just said that's not the right thing to do. And he's right. And it's going to save the taxpayers $56 million annually by eliminating the penny. Now let me be clear, the penny's still in existence. It's still in circulation. There's $300 billion. It's still legal tender. We're just a not producing anymore. Now, what we did, we thought we would get $5 million for the penny when we auctioned it off. We decided to auction it off. We got $16.7 million. You know, the president was very excited about that. He said that shows the Trump policies are working. When someone can
Starting point is 00:55:10 spend $16.7 million for a penny, things are good. So we were very excited to do that and auction that penny off. But that's the reason we eliminated the penny. It is wild to think of how long we were doing it and really doesn't make a lot of sense when it comes to talking about the things in government these days. And of course, that's been one of the, I think the core of what the president has really tried to do. And we've seen the results of that is get back to common sense. We've been so far removed from it for so long. Right. And we're looking at everything.
Starting point is 00:55:48 We're looking at the nickel. We've got a bill in the legislature and the Congress now to look at going to a different alloy so we can save money there on the cost of production of the nickel. So we're looking at everything to make sure that we are doing the best job for the taxpayers of the country and making sure that we're doing common sense policy. Now, you just mentioned some other coins. We've got U.S. Treasure Brandon Beach with us right now. You just mentioned some other because you talked about World Cup coins,
Starting point is 00:56:18 but I saw there's some other coins that are being talked about as well. We've got the 250th birthday here in the country. That's another one you're looking at as well. That's going to be a big one. We did some special coins. And what we're doing there is just like I talked to somebody the other day that still has their bicentennial coins that they got in 1976. And they've kept them. And we've done that with, we've got some quarters, a dime, and a half dollar.
Starting point is 00:56:44 And we're just what we're trying to do is talk about our constitution. our independence, our early governance, you know, talk about liberty and, you know, just the things that we are lucky to have here in this country and also, you know, use it as a tool to teach young people, you know, just how we came to the history of this country. And so what we're doing is we have those. But also, I want to talk to you about another coin, the Trump dollar coin. As you know, the president, we're working on a coin with him, President Trump on the front, and then on the back we're working on the back of the coin. He cannot be on the back, but he can be on the front. And we will have that.
Starting point is 00:57:27 We should have that design done in the next 10 days. And I'll get with Secretary Besson. We'll approve it, and we will move forward and go into production. And you will see a Trump dollar coin hopefully in the next 10 weeks in circulation, and it will be legal tender. it will be a dollar coin of legal tender. So I'm excited about that project, too. I'm sure people are going to run it.
Starting point is 00:57:51 Obviously, it's worth a dollar, but it'll be worth even more because people want those. How will people be able to get them when they come out? Is there a process for that? I mean, I don't know. It'll just be like getting a dime or a quarter. I mean, we'll put them in circulation through the Federal Reserve. They'll go to the banks, and you can go get, just like you can go to the bank and get dollar bills, you can go get a dollar coin.
Starting point is 00:58:13 It'll be in circulation. I love that. I'm sure we'll have to mint a lot of them because a lot of people are going to want them. But it is going to be legal tender and it's going to be a great thing for our country. I came about this idea. When the president called me and appointed me, I wanted to do a $250 bill for him for the 250 year anniversary with his picture on it. But I didn't realize you had to be deceased to be on a currency. paper currency. You do not have to be deceased to be on a dollar coin. So that's why we went with the
Starting point is 00:58:46 coin. Now, we still are pursuing the $250 bill. There's a bill that Congressman Joe Wilson from South Carolina has. It's in French Hills Committee. It's passed out a subcommittee. It's in committee, full committee, and we're hoping to get that passed out of the House to allow the president to be on the $250 bill for the 250 year celebration. So we're working on that, but that does take legislation and we're going to work on that. Yeah, U.S. treasure. We appreciate Brandon Beach, Pan, thank you for taking the time during the holiday here to come on and talk with us and
Starting point is 00:59:22 share. I know folks are going to be looking forward to all those things in the coming of the new year, especially what a, what a year for the 250th anniversary of the founding of this country. It's going to be a spectacular celebration. Well, let me tell you this, if I could. But I was fortunate enough to be involved in President Trump's campaign here in Georgia, where I'm from. And I got to know him, and I can tell you that it didn't take me long to figure out. He loves our country.
Starting point is 00:59:52 He loves and respects law enforcement and the military. But what he really loves is capitalism. And I've heard him talk about the Golden Age economy several times. And I can tell you this. He wants you, your kids, and your grandkids to be able to pursue the American dream. and he also realizes, and I realized this when I was in the state senate, government does not create jobs. The private sector does. But what we can do as a government is create a conducive environment through fair trade, the tariffs, low taxes, less regulation, provide an educated workforce, and provide infrastructure, both roads, bridges, and 21st century infrastructure, the right fiber, the right cell towers, the right satellites, the right AI.
Starting point is 01:00:36 And if we do those things and get out of the way, we will have economic prosperity and you will be able to pursue the American dream. And, you know, you've heard the president talk a lot about having a golden age economy and every zip code in this country. And that's what he wants to do. And we're going to lay the foundation and the groundwork so that people can pursue the American dream. You know, we are so blessed to live in this country. And I'm sick and tired of people talking bad about the United States. and you look at, I'm going to give you two examples. Jeff Sprecker, I don't know if you know who he is.
Starting point is 01:01:10 He came to Atlanta 30 plus years ago with $1,000 and started the Intercontinental Exchange. Now he owns the New York Stock Exchange. He owns several exchanges. He's a billionaire. That only happens in America. Another story, Todd Graves, he wanted to open a restaurant, couldn't get a bank loan, goes out on the oil rigs, works a couple years on time and a half and double time, $40,000. Now he owns raisin canes and he's worth $22 billion. That only happens in America.
Starting point is 01:01:42 And we want people to be able to have economic opportunity and be able to pursue the American dream. And that's what the big beautiful bills about. That's what our common sense policies are about. And that's what we're going to do to really create that opportunity for you, your kids and your grandkids, because we want success. and there's nothing wrong with Make America Great Again. There's nothing wrong with success and people making money and having prosperity. You asked Treasurer, Brandon Beach. You couldn't have said it better myself. Thank you, sir.
Starting point is 01:02:14 Really appreciate you being here with us. Thank you for taking the time and happy New Year. Happy New Year to you and your listeners. Thank you very much. You got it. God bless. Coming out next, more bad news for Tim Walls. And this time we're talking charges.
Starting point is 01:02:28 Back after this, 60 seconds on the Glenbeck program. We are only a few weeks into way. winter and already brutal cold, huge snowstorms, and of course, power outages. Think about this. If the power goes out when it's really cold, do you have a way to keep yourself and your family warm? Winter power outages can even be life-threatening. Starting point is 01:03:45 leading the charge, calling on him to resign, coming up in just a moment after the bottom of the hour here on the Glynebec program. She's a speaker of the house in Minnesota, so she knows a thing or two about what's going on in that state, running for governor, and she joins us after this. Filed a formal criminal complaint against Tim Walz for violating Minnesota statute 3.971
Starting point is 01:05:55 subdivision 9. When did you do that? Three or four weeks ago. Recently. Recently. Yeah. So there's an investigation ongoing. and I think Tim's going to have a bad day and he deserves it because he allowed this fraud
Starting point is 01:06:11 because he wanted the voting block that the Somalis represent because they all vote in a block and it's 100,000, 150,000, who knows how many. But it's so bad now that when we go to a facility, they're already screaming, Nick Shirley, Nick Shirley. It is, that's David, by the way, the man who, who I think kept Nick Shirley off to all of this that's happening in Minnesota. He's the one that's been ringing alarm for, I think, quite some time. This is, if you're from Minnesota, by the way, all of us are learning about this now
Starting point is 01:06:46 or have learned about it here very recently. But if you're from Minnesota, none of this is, none of this is new. It's news, but it's not new. Let me put it that way and talk more about that. And the no good, very bad day that Tim Walls is having over the last several days. going to get even worse. Speaker of the Minnesota House and running for governor as a Republican, Lisa DeMuth joins us right now.
Starting point is 01:07:12 Lisa, thank you for taking the time. This is all starting to heat up and I know you're very aware of it and why I'm sure you've got some stories to tell. I do. Good morning, Justin. Thanks for having this conversation with me. Fraud in Minnesota is not new to, I would say, Republicans here in the state of Minnesota. Some of our Democrat colleagues right now, as more has come out over the weekend,
Starting point is 01:07:39 through this viral video by Nick Shirley, seem to be surprised by it, including some of the commissioners on Governor Walls' staff. But it is not new, but it has exploded over the last seven years, specifically, under the administration of Governor Walls. What it was, I mean, this seems like it's getting to the point where it's like completely, obvious. What was the plan here? They just, they just throw it all to the wall and, and, uh, or the walls here and let's see what, whatever sticks. I mean, I, I, to me, it's, it's blatant. It's obvious. And it's almost like they just never thought they would ever get
Starting point is 01:08:18 caught. That is exactly right. And the U.S. Attorney's Office has given assistance here, uh, in Minnesota. We had one of the largest COVID frauds, um, feeding our future was the company, supposed company feeding kids during the pandemic. It is proven that $250 million of fraud went out just in that case. The U.S. assistant attorney Joe Thompson has said in a news conference a couple of weeks ago that fraud in Minnesota is at an industrial scale level and it will probably be about $9 billion. Justin, those are Minnesota tax dollars, but also federal tax.
Starting point is 01:09:03 tax dollars of theft from everyone in the United States and including those of us in Minnesota. You know, and I think one of the things that people miss, because obviously we're outraged by this, and anybody who, you know, is honest about it when you're looking at this, you ought to be outraged by it. But I think the thing that we probably miss the most out of this is that when this type of thing happens, because they, you know, we want to do the right thing. We do want to help people. I'm sure, you know, in Minnesota, as nice as you all are, you want to do the right thing. You want to help as many people as you can, but you really want to do it the right way. And when you find out this type of thing is happening, it actually hurts more than anything,
Starting point is 01:09:45 the people who are the most vulnerable. It definitely hurts those. And what we have said is every dollar that goes out in fraud means that that dollar did not make its way to the people that need it the most, and it was stolen from family budgets. Think people that are working very hard, just making ends meet, and then find out that their dollars that were supposed to go to help people were spent in fraud. We won't recover the bulk of those dollars back. Fraud in Minnesota needs to end now, and we're finally getting the attention that it is
Starting point is 01:10:21 needed. We've been fighting this fight for my entire seven years in the legislature, but Democrat control has blocked it at every single turn. She's a Speaker of the House now, is a Republican there in Minnesota running for governor, at least the move for this right now. Here's a post from Stephen Miller, President's advisor earlier this morning on X.
Starting point is 01:10:41 What if I told you our national debt is the tab for the mass looting of the American economy and the mass theft of the American dream? In other words, one of the reasons why we see such a massive debt and that everyone is charged, chained two and our kids and are granted here in this country is because of this very fraud, this looting that's happening.
Starting point is 01:11:05 It's at least part of it. Absolutely. And that is that is a wrong thing to do. You know, as we have tried to over my time in the legislature, put forward bills. And it's important for your listeners, Justin, to realize that there has been Democrat control in the state here in Minnesota for much too long. We tied the House of Representatives just this last election in 24. That is what allowed me to become Speaker.
Starting point is 01:11:33 And I established the fraud prevention and agency oversight committee. The way that I was able to do that is for a short period of time, even though we originally were tied with the Democrats in the House, they supported a fraudster that didn't live in his district, that the court struck down and could not take office. So for the period of time where Republicans in the House in Minnesota had 67 members, the Democrats were down to just 66 because they supported fraud in an election. I was able to establish the Fraud Prevention Committee, become the Speaker of the House, and we put forward bills, even if we couldn't get them passed. They've been tabled ready to go to combat a number of these things when we returned back into session in February. So Democrats in Minnesota have protected and promoted fraud for years.
Starting point is 01:12:28 Lisa Demuth was right now. She's a Speaker of the House running for governor right now in Minnesota. So let's talk about what we do to stop this because we're already seeing. And this is going to be a whole other issue altogether, I would think, not just for Minnesota, but for other states. It shouldn't be if everything is above board, but it should be, everything should be from it. We've heard that health and human services has had to freeze. now any of the funds coming into not just the state but looking
Starting point is 01:12:56 at doing this at all states because of this massive amount of fraud so the money stopped flowing in right away obviously it looks like they say taking in the state $185 million in child care funds for this particular
Starting point is 01:13:11 piece every year but it's not just that we're seeing fraud in other areas maybe you can help us with that as well but how do we put a stop to this at least at the state level from where your perspective is? You know, the way that we can stop this in the state are just common sense business practices where you would have internal controls.
Starting point is 01:13:32 Some of the things that we have tried to put forward is if there is a known entity that is suspected or convicted of fraud, it would be a simple check to make sure that same person or entity were not receiving other state dollars in other programs. Because as we're talking about this fraud in the child care assistant, program. We know in Minnesota, as I mentioned, feeding our future, that was out of our Department of Education that those $250 million went out. We have other suspected and proven fraud in autism services, adult daycare, non-emergency transportation, housing stabilization services, but under Democrat control, our budget exploded and we had an $18 billion surplus.
Starting point is 01:14:22 that was completely spent and our taxes and fees in Minnesota were raised another $10 billion. And because Democrats were in full control of state government, Republicans could sound the alarm, but we didn't have the votes to change it. And there was not a single Democrat that would say, maybe we need to look at why the budget has exploded. They just keep shoveling the money out the door. That's where we find ourselves. And that is what I, as Speaker, am trying to fix in the House now and also part of the reason I am running for governor. Lisa DeMithlis is right now. You know, I remember the first time you and I talked was actually right back after they announced
Starting point is 01:15:02 Tim Walz would be the running mate for Kamala Harrison. He'd be the VP candidate for the Democrats. And we kind of got a bit of a taste of how bad things were because it is no secret in the state of Minnesota. And this is a guy who, you know, he had to set up a hotline for you to route out. your neighbors. If you had more than a couple people over at your house and things like that, we had National Guard out on the streets, you know, making sure people weren't outside. It's just wild some of the stories that we've heard, but you've seen it all up close and
Starting point is 01:15:37 personal, and you've been somebody on the front row for Tim Walls. What do you think is going to happen? You just heard that guy, David, talk about the charges. You've called for him to resign. What do you think is going to happen? And really what should happen next with Governor Wallis? You know, I think anyone with a conscience would have stopped the fraud and been responsible as a leader of the state. That is not what we've found in Tim Walls. But he has already announced that he is running for a third term. We don't have term limits here in Minnesota.
Starting point is 01:16:08 He thinks he deserves a third term. At a minimum, if he doesn't resign immediately, he at least needs to say that he is not running again for a third term and pull out of that race. that'll be next November. But we are not seeing that. There is either an ignoring of the facts or an ignorance that they're not happening. You know, when you and I talk, Justin and Governor Walls was the vice presidential candidate with Harris, as far as for vice president, maybe he was more focused on other things at a national level and didn't pay attention to what was happening here in Minnesota.
Starting point is 01:16:47 I don't know, but either way it has to stop. He has not led this state in a way that has made it better for people. He has hurt people along the way. Yeah, this is really interesting. He doesn't strike me, and I know you know I'm better than I do, but he doesn't strike me as a guy who's willing to walk away or even admit that there have been mistakes. Or even, let's be honest, acknowledge reality in some ways. I think he's, you're going to have to, he's going to be drugged away kicking and screaming.
Starting point is 01:17:19 and unfortunately that only I think hurts the folks in Minnesota there. Tell us about your run though for governor and I know folks can support you. Go to Lisa for MN.com. Lisa, the moon's running there in Minnesota for governor. Yeah, I announced my run on November 2nd and the reason is I looked at our state. The fraud was a big deal, but we were known for our educational quality over the years. but under Governor Walls, our kids have been failing. Our education system for our kids is failing.
Starting point is 01:17:52 Only half of our kids can even read at grade level on a statewide average. We have the record fraud. We've watched our state budget go from an $18 billion surplus and raising of taxes and fees. Governor Walls has spent us into a $6 billion deficit. And there had been mandates that have pushed businesses out a new program starting tomorrow in the state of Minnesota, paid family medical leave. It is a tax and a mandate on every business if you have one or more employees that will allow employees to own health issues or the health issues of a friend or someone
Starting point is 01:18:37 they know or the bonding of a child. It is unbelievable. So you talk about fraud here in the state of Minnesota. We've got paid family medical leave without guard rails and we'll have to see where that lands. But those are some of the reasons why I am running. Minnesota to become that business-friendly state again where our economy can grow. There's less mandates. Families can afford their lives. We'll keep boys out of girls' sports is another reason why we need change here in the state, and then we'll get a control of this fraud.
Starting point is 01:19:10 Lisa, thank you and good luck to you. Please keep us posted and let us know as cleaning up this mess, I'm sure it's going to take quite the effort. It is. Thank you so much, Justin. appreciate the opportunity to talk with you. Lisa for MN.com. That's Lisa Dubu. Thank you. We'll be back after this, folks. We got more. In fact, breaking news, details on this story, and more when we return.

But relief factor surprised me. Within weeks, I was working without wincing. I could get down on the floor and get back up again without thinking twice. Bill knows hard work. Starting point is 01:21:23 We've got news breaking from Ohio just moments ago. It's being exposed more than 40, quote, daycare centers in Columbus, Ohio, opened under a Somali shell organization. They get $14 million dollars. This is just in the last year alone. Eric Daughtry over on X sharing these documents and the details from the research online. And this is easy to do when you go in and look up these corporations. This is something you're going to see more and more.
Starting point is 01:21:56 As I mentioned yesterday, it's not just Minnesota. You're going to find it everywhere. And it's not just Somalis. I think you're going to find it in many different areas, and largely tied in to the... Democrats. In fact, Tim Walz is saying, oh, no, Trump is politicizing this in a post on X. He mentioned that earlier. No, no, Tim. He's not making this political. It is political. And he's pointed it out. That's why they're finally going after some of these people. The find out era is here. And it's
Starting point is 01:22:32 moving swiftly ahead. So are we on a New Year's Eve on the Glenn Beck program, wishing you a happy New Year. Justin Barkley in for Glenn today, back after this. Starting point is 01:23:35 It has certainly been historic in nature of us last year. The term, the second term, of the President of the United States. And it's also been historic for us in so many other ways. I want to talk about, that's something that's sort of switching gears if I can on the last hour here with the Glenn Beck Pro. program for the year. The honor of filling in for Glenn today on the Glenn Beck program,
Starting point is 01:25:01 it's Justin Barkley. We're going to get you to give us maybe some of your thoughts, your predictions, if any, about what's coming in 2026. This is the smartest audience, I believe, in radio. Hats off to the folks to listen to the Glenn Beck program. So here's the number, AAA-727-B-E-C-K. That's 88-727 Beck, or you can email me, Justin at you, at Justin Barclay.com, B-A-R-C-L-A-Y, Justin at Justin Barclay. What do you see ahead in the year? That's in front of us. The 250th anniversary of this nation. We'll talk about that and the history behind us. After this, Justin in for Glenn today on the Glenn Beck program. Back next. We are only a few weeks into winter and already brutal cold, huge snowstorms and of course
Starting point is 01:25:55 power outages. Think about this. If the power goes out when it's really cold, do you have a way to Keep yourself and your family warm. Winter power outages can even be life-threatening. We learned this in Texas not too long ago. That's why so many Americans are getting a Vesta off-grid heater from my Patriot supply. It's a space heater. It doesn't use electricity or propane. It runs on something called canned heat.
Starting point is 01:26:18 And it's an indoor safe fuel. With Vesta, if you have it stashed in your closet, you know you can keep warm, keep your kids warm no matter what. And it even doubles as a stove to cook your food in case you have an electric cooktop. The best part is right now you can get the Vesta and a bunch more preparedness gear as free gifts when you order the winter survival kit from My Patriot Supply. Go to MyPatriot Supply.com slash Glenn. See everything that's included. The offer is not going to last long. So go to my Patriotsupply.com slash Glenn. Mypatriotsupply.com slash Glenn. We're going to talk a lot about what's in the news and of course right now. But some of the history that we're looking back. Back on his last year, he's actually about ready to be made in some ways.
Starting point is 01:27:08 And that's kind of interesting in itself. Justin and today for Glenn on the Glenn Beck program, I thought it would be interesting. And yeah, we'll take a couple of calls here, too, to see what your predictions are for the year ahead, 2026 and beyond. But I thought it would be interesting to do that, to hear from you, AAA-727, Beck, T-E-C-K. I also saw a story that I thought, well, this is kind of fascinating. I like little things like this. And I know a guy.
Starting point is 01:27:41 So I thought I'd reach out to my good friend, Kevin DeVries, who's actually been there, done that before and even has the T-shirt. They think they may have found Noah's Ark. Well, that's the story from the New York Post. But I've seen this story a time or two. And Kevin has to. In fact, he's been right in the middle of it. He was part of a documentary that went looking.
Starting point is 01:28:01 for Noah's Ark, finding Noah's what it was called. And he joins us now on the Glenn Beck program. Kevin, did Noah's Ark really exist as the headline? Pottery fragments found near biblical boat site provide evidence of human settlement. Fascinating story. Let's dig in and talk about it. You are, after all, my archaeologist. Yeah, that's good.
Starting point is 01:28:30 Happy New Year, my friend. I spent five summers looking for that thing. Gary Sinise was kind enough to narrate for us. But, you know, it seems like somebody finds it every year. It's a fascinating story, you know. It's got a lot of depth to it. There's a lot of metaphor to it. There's, well, you know, if you find the arc, you find a lost link to another civilization, right?
Starting point is 01:28:52 It would be the last remaining remnant that we'd have had from the Antediluvian period. So from an archaeological standpoint, it's fascinating because it could provide just, a wealth of information. But we, yeah, we spent quite a bit of time and air at, and we're looking for that ship. And we're scientific, remote sensory indications that there was something there on the eastern plateau. We did a ton of electrical and seismic recativity test,
Starting point is 01:29:21 and we did a lot of ground penetrating radar, which is really tricky with ice. It's really meant for dirt. So there's a lot of refracting that goes on, almost like a Fresno lens that you would see, you know, at a lighthouse. So it's very difficult to ascertain, you know, what's under the ice. We also excavated some, you know, Herculean holes at 16,800.
Starting point is 01:29:42 Yeah, we know where it's not. You know where it's not. We know where it's not. So in this case, in this story, they think they may have found this. Now, are you familiar with this particular? Because, again, it's turkey, right? Yeah, it's, you know, it's a tourist park. they call it that it's noah's our park and um it's called the durapinar site and it was about 13 to 15
Starting point is 01:30:08 miles from our base camp area so it was just a hop and a skip i never actually went to the place um personally it was just i've kind of written off uh mostly because if you just shot up and did a google earth or put a drone up in the sky you would see other uh anomalies of very similar kind throughout that region so i don't know i mean if you follow the biblical account i don't think no in charge of an armada. I think he was in charge of one boat, one arc. So just taking a quick preview of Google Earth would indicate that, yeah, it's probably not unique to the area. But, you know, it sells T-shirts, like you said, and it gets people there, and it gets a lot of, you know, these stories get story of origins, right? It explains a lot of things. If you can start or
Starting point is 01:30:58 restart creation from a particular point date, it explains a lot of cultures and different languages and the continent. So it's a fascinating story. It's a big story. So what is your thought on this as someone who's gone searching? Is it out there? And if it is, you know, will we ever find it? Or is this just something that's meant to be a mystery?
Starting point is 01:31:26 I think personally, I mean, we spent all of our time on the eastern plateau, which would have been an ideal site for preservation of a, you know, of an arc that would have been at that point, you know, thousands of years old. And our hope was that if we had found it and conclusively proved that it was there, it would have been like the phronic sunboats, you know, from the Delta Nile, which are perfectly preserved. Or the, you know, in Siberia, you've got these mastodones, these woolly mammoths that are preserved to the point that they're now able to extract DNA from them.
Starting point is 01:31:55 You know, or the bog ships from Norway, if you get to Norway, you can see all these Viking ships that were perfectly preserved in the peat moss bog. So any environment that's oxygen-free, that doesn't allow. for the entrance of bacteria, you could have that, you know, save for perpetuity. So having ruled it out, almost conclusively, it could still be in that area, but I highly doubt it. It's a hundred foot depth, and we did everything we could to figure out what was underneath the ice. But I personally believe it's in the horror gorge, if it is there or intact, you know, if they didn't break it apart and use it for wood immediately afterwards.
Starting point is 01:32:28 You know, it is interesting to think about. And I think that's why we're drawn because we want answers, right? I mean, you're somebody, and I think if you watch the documentary finding Noah, you're going to get, they didn't get the arc. But what they did find, I think was even more interesting in this case. And I think that's part of what draws us, is we're looking for answers as people. Well, I think the great discoveries are what you find while you're looking. looking for something else. So the whole idea is the impetus. The genius is action, get out the front door, get on the adventure, jump out of the boat, walk in the water. You know, you've got to do
Starting point is 01:33:14 something, there's something about action that creates momentum and momentum creates miracles and things happen. So I think you have to be very much attuned to that. You know, what is the real story? There's always, but the more obscure or oblique narrative is really the trick of it, is what is the universe trying to tell you? What is God trying to speak to you? And often he'd been metaphors, and the ark provides a perfect metaphor, you know, for Christ in our lives and the safety that he provides with the atonement and the sacrifice that he made to reconnect us back to God. And so it's a powerful, powerful metaphor.
Starting point is 01:33:51 If you can look at it through that lens, it's a very poetic application for sure. Kevin the Vries is with us right now. In fact, I called him the archaeologist because he's gone looking for Noah's Ark. But Kevin is kind of the best way to describe him would be like a faith-filled Indiana Jones. He loves adventure. He's constantly on one. Made a documentary about climbing Mount Everest. You've been all over the place.
Starting point is 01:34:18 And in fact, you've got a new project you're working on right now, Kevin. You guys are going to do something that has started to, I guess, be talked about again. And in a project in a way that's never been done before, You're launching something that I guess I would sort of describe as like a bear grills meets the chosen in some ways. Yeah. It's really fascinating. What are you doing now? Well, it's called the journey within.
Starting point is 01:34:50 So when we did our last documentary, which is called the show, and it's all over just about every available channel possible, we did that because we wanted the viewer to go in as we were going up. So it was a trek to Everest base camp and it was talking a lot about trauma and how does trauma heal. And so we were basically using the whole Himalayan range as kind of a juxtaposition of the inward journey. Because it's hard to climb mountains, but it's really hard to climb the ones that are within. Sometimes I would imagine that those are the hardest. Oh, yeah. It's easy to live in your head. And most people in the Western world, we live in our heads.
Starting point is 01:35:30 You know, we don't want to get into the heart because that's where, you know, the good stuff happens, but it's also where the hurt lies, but it's where the pain is, but that's also where your purpose is. So your purpose is always encrypted in pain. So if you can get past that, if you can walk into that cave, the great mythologist Joseph Campbell said that the cave that you dread to enter also holds the treasure that you. It's great to go to the north and south pole, look for Noah's Ark. Adventure is a beautiful, wonderful thing. It's kind of a lost arc, and it gets you on this journey. But the real journey is that 18 inches to get out of your head, out of that cerebral domain that you live in with facts and sink down into those 18 inches.
Starting point is 01:36:14 Get into your heart. Get into your story. Get into the true narrative. Your true identity, which is always spiritual. That's never superficial. And if we can leverage adventure to do that, I think we've accomplished something. In fact, the way we're marketing this or positioning this docu series is it's a series that's going where no other series has gone before, kind of a Star Trek thing. but we're trying to essentially take the typical adventure program and turn it on its head
Starting point is 01:36:40 and instead of just talking about achievements and all those things that come with that, we're trying to leverage that and turn into something catalytic, something that's more about spiritual awakening. So it's not just about, you know, climbing something and achieving something or surviving something. It's more about spiritual awareness. And if we can leverage those great survival stories, the Shackleton stories, right? highly successful failures. Kind of like finding Noah.
Starting point is 01:37:07 We were up on that dozens of guys and electrical activity and thunderstorms and, you know, geopolitical tension with the PKK and the Turks. I mean,
Starting point is 01:37:18 there's numerous ways we could have died, right? It's almost shackleton S where, you know, it takes these 27 guys in an adventure against all odds after being years on the ice. They come back to the man. They all survived.
Starting point is 01:37:30 And so sometimes you have to look at the greatest lessons are the successful failure. I've learned very little through success. It's the failure that that's the gold. And if you can find guys and women that walk with a limp, hang close to them because they typically have the gold. They know the secrets of the journey,
Starting point is 01:37:47 and they've learned it the hard way. They've learned it through failure. Kevin DeVries and the journey within. By the way, Kevin, I know this isn't like for prime time. It's not ready for public consumption yet, but if people want to follow you, maybe they want to go along for the ride or maybe they want to help support this effort and this ministry.
Starting point is 01:38:08 I know you've got a great website, grace explorations.com. You're probably looking for a little bit of help to still put that together? Yeah, absolutely. I mean, we just released the trailer series video, which has just gotten a lot of rave reviews in the last two weeks, and that actually lives on my YouTube channel. It's under my name, Kevin DeBreeze. It's so new that it just lives on YouTube right now,
Starting point is 01:38:28 but they can take a peek at that. If they want to be a financial partner, they can go to graceexperations.com and be a part of that. If they want more info, they can contact me there as well. I can give them the producer's pitch deck. But yeah, we're looking for people to help finance this. And also we're looking for distribution partners and streaming partners because we want this to be kind of a thing where eventually people can binge watch it.
Starting point is 01:38:51 So four or five series worth of content and, you know, you find a snowy day in Michigan and we want something in one month, one episode per week. And people can learn about, you know, Mallory climbing Everest and the disappearance and the legend that's all involved with that. And then follow us on Shackleton's journey across South Georgia, where he had the third man encounter, which is a phenomena that many people that have survived extreme conditions can relate to. It kind of goes back to antiquity with the three Bieber Boys and the fire, you know, and the fourth person. Like, who is that person? Nebuchadnezzar said. And so stories with Shackleton.
Starting point is 01:39:34 having this third man encounter that survivors whisper about. And we're leveraging that and we're talking about, well, you know, Shackleton was an incredible leader. He did incredible things. He was able to stop 97 miles from the South Pole turn around because he knew he had enough food to get there but not enough to get back, which is a huge leadership decision. Mallory was during the wildest dream, you know, trying to climb Everett. But we're trying to go deeper.
Starting point is 01:40:02 Kevin, it sounds like we're losing you. I think you're not up on Everest today. you might be up on another mountain, but we've got, we've definitely got a, well, a great starting point here for folks. Grace Explorations.com, the journey within, and Kevin DeVries, thank you for taking the time, all from searching for the arc today, too, just to stop in and fill us in on the latest. Yeah, thank you so much, Jess. I'm sorry we're last connection there for a bit. I appreciate the opportunity. No, you're always great. Appreciate you, my friend. Thank you, Kevin. God bless. Happy New Year. I just such a fascinating. I could talk to that guy forever, but such a fascinating story. And there's even more to Kevin's story. I think you really, if you got to know him, you'd really enjoy. The guy is, he's something else. And he never stops. He's just like constantly going. It's one of those people that has that energy. I wonder sometimes, where do you get it? By the way, speaking of which, we're not going to stop.
Starting point is 01:41:06 We've got to keep going. In fact, we'll take a quick 60-second break, but on the flip side, got some predictions for 2026. I love to hear from you. So here's what I'm going to do. Give you the number, and you can call in and give us yours. 8-88-7-27- Beck. 8-8-7-27-B-E-C-K. Where do you see us headed in the next year?
Starting point is 01:41:26 I've got a few trickling in on email and we'll grab phones as well. Justin at Justin Barclay.com or 8-8-7-27-B-E-C-K. Back right after this on the Glenn Beck program. On the radar for 2026, it is the 250th anniversary, the semi-quincentennial, as we were just talking about this off the year. It's just, that's half a 500, semi-quincentennial, 250th year anniversary of the United States. So it's going to be a big one. I think it'd be, you know, it'll be interesting to see how. how it's certainly different with President Trump in the office, how everything is going to look.
Starting point is 01:43:22 I mean, even the White House, even the White House at Christmas time and the way they celebrate things has been completely, it's like a 180 between this administration and the Biden White House, which is wild to watch. But I think we could use a little bit of that injection of patriotism. And I think it's much needed. and will be well appreciated. All right, so we got a little bit,
Starting point is 01:43:49 and by the way, I don't care. These can be doom or gloom, and they can be positive as well. Robin, Texas says, I'm afraid Democrats will flip the House in the midterm elections. Well, we talked about that yesterday. That's high on our radar.
Starting point is 01:44:08 That's one of the things we're following, and, of course, very much concerned about. Rob says capitalizing on historical midterm trends against the president's party and economic frustrations. Well, and some of the fighting, the infighting, the things that you're seeing within conservatives right now is not, it's not helpful. And it's pulling us in, by the way, I think that's designed. Although that's by design. Designed to pull us in some of the different directions so that we, you know, we're ineffective.
Starting point is 01:44:43 And that's a real problem. Republicans hold or narrowly expand their Senate majority. And that's interesting. All right, what's your prediction for 2026? It can be big. It can be small, but we want to hear from your... 8-727, B-E-C-N-88727, Beck, or Justin at Justin Barclay.com.
Starting point is 01:45:10 Grab yours. And we'll hear from someone smack dab in the... middle of all the insanity in Minnesota. Someone from a Glenn Beck affiliate coming up after this. On the Glenn Beck. This is Glenn Beck. The older I get, the more I think about trust. I think about the people in my life who have my trust and earned my trust. And the trust that I have placed in some people who I later learned abused that trust. I know we're alike in that way. We don't trust a lot of people anymore. It's like we're all Ronald Reagan trust, but always very to make sure we're not making a mistake.
Starting point is 01:45:47 I find it a little exhausting, quite honestly, and that's why I started real estate agents I trust.com. I didn't have good experiences with buying and selling my homes. So we built real estate agents I trust to introduce you to one of the thousands of agents all over the country that we work with that we have verified that they will help you have the most successful and good real estate transaction possible. Our network agents share our sensibilities,
Starting point is 01:46:12 have great track records, are good and decent people, and I trust them to help you with your real estate needs. Starting point is 01:46:38 60% of the vans on Amazon come to vander independent, like sack magic. Hello, here Camille of SACMagic. Our compresses of colds are fabricated here even, in Quebec, with the tissues that we're in Montreal and the aviose to sagné.
Starting point is 01:46:51 Our presence on Amazon enlarge our basin of clientele to the world entire. SAC MAGIC, is the compress that all the world prefer. At from here, we're grandi. Trouvee de little enterprises
Starting point is 01:47:02 like our own on Amazon.C.A. A new website, a new app, a new way to understand the world we're living in. Launching January 5th. at glenbeck.com. All right,
Starting point is 01:47:34 2026 predictions rolling in as we wrap up the year. And it's my honor and privilege to do that with you on the Glennbeck program today. Justin Barkley, in for Glenn. And if you want to give us one of your predictions, AAA 727 Beck, B, E, C, it could be good, bad, ugly, I don't care.
Starting point is 01:47:51 AAA 727 Beck. Justin at Justin Barclay.com. It's JJ in Texas, first up, before we get to our guest. JJ, what do you see for 2026? You're on the Glenbeck program. Well, happy new year and thank you for taking my call, just.
Starting point is 01:48:08 Thank you, sir. You too. I believe that, and to paraphrase the great Rinalvis Magnus, President Ronald Reagan, if the Republicans, when it comes to health care policy, will learn to color in bold colors and not pale pastels as President Reagan. to stay and come up with something not just you know beat around the bush around the edges but
Starting point is 01:48:39 but really come up with something that makes it more affordable you know get rid of some of the competition limitations across state lines things like that something that will substantially change people's life for the better to the tune of $1,000 $2,000 a month I think we win the economy's got you know the economy's looking like it could really take off next year with the things that he's implemented already. Inflation is going to be reasonably under control for the foreseeable future. So if we get health care, I think we do this. I love that.
Starting point is 01:49:12 From your lips to God's ears, JJ. Thank you so much for that prediction. The keyword I heard was if. That's a big. That's a tall order. But, man, you're absolutely right. This is what Americans voted for. Bold, massive action to completely turn the tide.
Starting point is 01:49:34 They've got to feel it, and it can't be just talk, can't be just lip service. We need bold action. The president can pull that off along with Congress. Congress is the trick there. That'll certainly put us right where we need to be. Let's go to Minnesota, in fact, to one of the Glenback affiliates. Twin Cities News Talk in Minneapolis, our good friend, John. He is on the phone with us right now.
Starting point is 01:49:58 John Justice, and you've got the morning show there. John, where you talk about these stories on a daily basis. You and I go back to Michigan ties at one point, but you and I have talked in the past about Governor Tim Walls, all the corruption there. And I know you have a front row seat. We talked to Lisa Dumuth earlier on the program about some of these things. You have a front row seat to an all,
Starting point is 01:50:21 and I think a unique perspective. So welcome in to the Glymback program. Well, it's always great to talk with you, Justin, and thanks so much for having me on. If I can give my 2026 prediction, it plays into what we're going to talk about. I'm convinced that with the firestorm of fraud information, you know, revelations coming out of Minnesota, that this is going to now spread nationwide, I think, as we head into next year, fraud, not just in Minnesota, but systemic fraud across the country in the same way it's being perpetuated in this great state, is going to be exposed on a nationwide level.
Starting point is 01:50:58 That's what I think the big story is going to be heading into next year. But great to join you. Yes, and I will say, John, you know, look, again, from your lips, the guys ears, let's just say, because we're already starting to see, I don't think, I've been telling people all the last couple of days, look, this isn't just Minnesota, and it's not just Somalis. This is any government program, any politician has evolved. I won't even narrow it down to Democrats, although largely that's where this issue is.
Starting point is 01:51:28 And, of course, unfortunately, I think it ties into election issues as well. But, yeah, we're starting to hear Ohio, Maine, and a couple other places. It's been really wild to watch what has transpired over the course of the past few weeks. I've been on vacation. I take vacation this time every single year. And typically there's nothing going on. And I've never, ever seen this amount of news coverage this time of year. those of us here in Minnesota, so much of what is being exposed on the national level.
Starting point is 01:52:00 For us, it's not new. We've known about this stuff for years now. We're very thankful that it's finally, certainly from the Trump administration, to do something about it, because nothing has happened here in Minnesota, despite all the lip service from Governor Tim Walts and his administration. But tragedy in all of this is that it all could have been avoided, and we've known about it for years. Hey, can you imagine, because I know we talked about this a little over a year ago, but could you imagine if Kamala and
Starting point is 01:52:33 Wals would have won what that would look? Because I'm part of a winning in 2026, look, I know we want results and we want them like yesterday, right? We're very impatient. I get that. And frustrated sometimes, but you just imagine what that would have been like. I think it's important for us to look back at, gosh, the bullet we dodged.
Starting point is 01:52:52 Oh, it was a massive bullet. Governor Tim Walves is a, he's a disaster. He is an absolute partisan hack disaster. And I am convinced that if they had won, again, what you're seeing in terms of the mentality that has driven the ability for the fraud to be committed, and that's really what we're talking about. You know, these are these are, these are, these are ideology. This is the belief system of Governor Tim Walz and and Harris. and Democrats for the most part. If they had actually ended up in the White House, I mean, turning a blind eye to all of this that has been transpiring like it has here in Minnesota would have taken place on a scale at the national level that I don't know if we would have been able to recover from. In the meantime, we still have to deal with walls and his attempt to win a historic third term if he even makes it to still be the nominee next year, which I don't think is going to happen at this point. You know, we heard from Lisa DeMuth, the Speaker of the House, they're calling for his resignation. We heard from, she's running for governor. We heard from Mike Lundell,
Starting point is 01:53:56 who's made that announcement earlier this week as well. But this, you mentioned that it's really interesting. What happens next? You know, Waltz. Will he resign or will he have to be drunk kicking and screaming from the office? The only way that, I think the first move you would see is him withdrawing from the governor's race. You know, this would be a historic third term if he were to win. No governor since we changed the laws going back decades upon decades to four-year terms. No governor has won a consecutive third term. And he was damaged goods before all of this erupted, Justin. And now it's even worse, obviously. So the pressure is going to have to come internally. So if he ends up pulling out of the governor's race or there is a candidate that emerges to challenge him
Starting point is 01:54:46 in a primary next year, that would be the first step. It really is going to have to come internally from Democrats in Minnesota for him to step down. If they feel like he is that damaging to the party, I could see it happen. Now, whether or not that is the case of what has to transpire is, of course, happen now moving forward with all this exposure. John Jess is on with us right now from Twin Cities News talk in Minneapolis. Let me ask you, we're talking about the fraud. The daycare is one.
Starting point is 01:55:18 We've heard about the autism fraud. Where are the other places that the fraud is hiding, lurking that, that the administration needs to look into here. We know that housing stabilization services, that was shut down completely by the U.S. attorney here in Minnesota, Joe Thompson. He came out and publicly said in the press conference that the entirety of housing and stabilization services program was fraudulent. Transportation services is another area that needs to be examined.
Starting point is 01:55:51 The same fraud that has happened within autism and daycare centers where you basically have phantom children client lists that are being billed to the state, you know, getting these millions of dollars in Medicaid funding. But the same thing rings true when it comes to these bus services that are supposed to be allegedly transporting children to these various places where this is also happening within those services as well. But I'll tell you, I'm personally convinced. And again, it's just my opinion.
Starting point is 01:56:23 I'm personally convinced that any taxpayer-funded social service program here in Minnesota, every single one of them needs to be in back. the problem is that systemic right now because it seems like every new investigation into every any new service fraud taking place. I think all of it is corrupt at this point. Yeah, you know, we got a glimpse into what all that looks like with states refusing to give away their snap information. Why wouldn't you do that? I mean, that just seems obvious. And when you make those types of moves, I think it's clear for folks. John, where can people find you? Because I know they're going to want to maybe tune in as this develops and get an on
Starting point is 01:57:04 the ground, picture and insight when you return on the 5th on Monday for all of this. Yeah, well, of course, Glenn Beck is on right after my weekly radio show, on 6 until 9 a.m. Central Time on the IHeart Radio app on KTLK, Minneapolis. You can also follow me online on X at John Justice, J.O.N. I'm on V. John Justice on TikTok and Instagram, all the social media platforms. But, yeah, just John Justice, find me online. and you'll see, you'll see where I'm posting. I've been posting all vacation as well.
Starting point is 01:57:36 So thanks for having me on this morning, man. It's great talking with you. What a week worth of news for you on your vacation, man. I mean, take a little time off every now and then. And the news never stops these days. Yeah, it's insane. It's insane. I've never had a vacation with this much going on before.
Starting point is 01:57:53 I almost feel like I haven't had one. But it's been off of them. I'm well rested. Enjoy it, my friend. Thank you so much. Happy New Year, John. Happy New Year to you, too. Yeah, God bless.
Starting point is 01:58:03 Folks, take a quick break when we come back. I got a couple of more predictions. I might have one myself coming up. We'll get into that. Let's hear from you as well. AAA-7-27-B-E-C-K, AAA-7-27 Beck. We're at Justin at Justin Barclay.com. My email, Justin at Justin Barclay, B-A-R-C-L-A-Y.com.
Starting point is 01:58:24 Back, Justin Barclay, in for Glenn today on the Glenn Beck program. The rope may break, but the ride goes on. This is Glenn Beck. Relief factor loves hearing from pain-free customers and hopes that you're going to be the next that writes in. Kim wrote in and said, Before trying relief factor, Glenn, I struggled just to make it through my work days.
Starting point is 01:58:57 I'd collapse on the couch at night, aching everywhere. Within a few weeks of starting relief factor, that daily pain began to fade. Now I'm keeping up at work. I still have energy left for my family. My life has changed. Kim's is the story of thousands of kitchens and office desks and factory floors.
Starting point is 01:59:13 The story of parents' having more love to give because they have strength to share it. Relief Factor doesn't just ease pain, it restores your evening, your laughter, and the simple joy of just being present. Relief Factor has given me a big part of my life back, whether in the cold and elevation of our ranch or walks along the beaches with my wife in Florida. Starting point is 01:59:57 Wrap up the last few minutes and moments here on the Glymbach program of the year. And with you and your predictions, 88727BECK, J and Ohio, you're up next on the Glymbach program. Taking my call. My prediction for this year is that they're going to find out Ohio, amount of fraud in our Medicaid system. I'm calling in from Ohio. It's going to be about double what's in Minnesota. And the reason I say that is we have about a $40 billion line item in our annual state budget of about $100 million. So call it 40%.
Starting point is 02:00:33 A few years ago, the CMS, which is the Health and Human Services Department that runs Medicaid and Medicare, has to come out, who's supposed to come out with an annual report showing all the fraud, improper payment, state by state. Ohio was dead last with 43.3% improper payment rate on $40 billion. equals $17.7 billion versus Minnesota's $9 billion. And this is in a red state, supermajority. And the reason that's going on is it goes back to 2013 when then Governor Rhino, John Kasich, took the Obama Medicaid expansion deal,
Starting point is 02:01:11 if you remember that, which was Medicaid expansion is lower the bar, let everybody in. And now our current rhino, Governor DeWine, he was against it before he got in and saw how much money was flown in from the federal caucus. offers. Uh-oh. Are we losing, Jay?
Starting point is 02:01:30 Sound like the phone caught up. That was an interesting prediction. I'll give you another one here. Let's go to Lorraine and New York. You're on the Glenn Beck program, Lorraine. My overall prediction is we're going to have some more sanity and civility in the coming year, and that would be expressed for me. And a couple things, Elon Musk and President Trump will sort of reunite, and there will be a way
Starting point is 02:02:01 to use the Doge revelations. And then my second way it will be expressed is somebody's going to come up with a physical science of things that we thought of as only spiritual before. Interesting. Well, maybe Elon will be the guy to do that. I'd love to see those two get back, get the band back together. Thank you, Lauren. Steve in Florida up next with a prediction.
Starting point is 02:02:27 You're on the Glenbeck program. Yeah, my prediction. And to President Trump, one of the main reasons we voted for you is to clean up the sewer in Washington and not just Washington, D.C., but these states, like in Minnesota, and we're tired of the talk. Pam Bondi, gone, Fox. All right, stay there. She was here in Florida with the Epstein stuff, and she jacked squat. And also, release the crackhead's hard drive. We're tired of the talk.
Starting point is 02:02:57 And that's right. You've got to be proactive. And far too long, we have, like, Mr. Johnson, no way, bles reactionary to, like, a deliverance boy, the morning Schmohen, MSLSD with Mika. We're sick and tired of it. We're sick and tired of it. President Trump, Cas Patel, talked a good game in the private sector. Government Gangsters book.
Starting point is 02:03:20 Look at this. The hard drive. The crackheads hard drive. Burisma, border barisma. I'm running out of time still. But I appreciate that. What I hear you saying is don't just drain it. Flush the swamp.
Starting point is 02:03:32 And I like that. And we're going to see it. Is that the prediction? I think so. Well, folks, as the clock strikes midnight and we're winding down to that moment, putting a wrap on things here at the Glenn Beck program for the year. Appreciate you. Always an honor to be here with you.
Starting point is 02:03:47 And it is just a privilege. The best audience, Glenn's got the greatest folks. We're closing that chapter on another year. And today we're looking forward for Renew Hope. That's what I'm looking for. I think lots of folks are as we move into 2026 and the 250th birthday of this nation. A quarter millennium since that bold declaration of independence, a milestone that calls us to celebrate how far we've come and the yet dream even bigger about where we're going.
Starting point is 02:04:18 So this year from coast to coast, we're going to honor this great nation that's founders with parades, fireworks. and you in service to it all. We appreciate you. Justin in for Glenn today in the Glenn Beck program. Love to catch up with you. Justin at Justin Barkley.com. I'm at Mr. Justin Barkley everywhere else. Happy New Year and God bless.
Starting point is 02:04:42 This is Glenn Beck.
