The Glenn Beck Program - Nefarious Times for America | Guest: Steve Deace | 12/29/20

Episode Date: December 29, 2020

Steve Deace fills in for Glenn and immediately gets on his soapbox about the outlandish things you also need to believe if you believe that the presidential election was legitimate. He also explains h...ow the predictions he made in his book "A Nefarious Plot" have come to fruition all throughout 2020 and how its sequel, the recently released short book "A Nefarious Carol," paints a disturbing picture for a choice we may all have to make in the near future. Some messages that Steve wants everyone to understand are that love and truth are not mutually exclusive and that men might be the problem in our country, but they are also the solution. Starting point is 00:00:18 is the fusion of entertainment and enlightenment this is the glenn beck program 2020 a year unlike any other and there's this notion out there that it just snuck up on us we we never saw it coming except the stage was set for this year long ago in our institutions, in our culture, in our homes, and in the hearts and minds of the people. Starting point is 00:02:28 and Midwestern winter storm permitting, also tomorrow. Many of you have had a chance to hear me, be a guest on Glenn's show in the past. I do the show on Blaze TV right after Glenn from noon to two Eastern on Blaze TV, radio and podcast. I have my full crew here with me this morning as well.
Starting point is 00:02:49 My co-host, Todd Erzine, as well as our co-host and producer Aaron McIntyre. Merry Christmas. Happy New Year to you guys. I've been seeing you guys in about a week or so. Did you guys all have a good holiday? It was a great Christmas. It was a little good.
Starting point is 00:03:01 Indeed, we did. You guys got out without some masks and terrorized to some of the local populace is my understanding, correct? Did my best. Was scolded by a teenager who wouldn't sell me popcorn. Aaron, yesterday, or no, last week right before Christmas, you said you went to three different stores. Matt, four different stores, including a drug store.
Starting point is 00:03:18 And apparently I have a face that says, don't talk to me. And we dig that about you. Actually, yes, that is true. All right. So over the course of today's program, if we say anything remotely insightful that you want to respond to
Starting point is 00:03:34 or after the program, if you want to engage with us, there's several different ways to do this via social media. Just look up Steve Dease. That's D-E-A-C-E. Pardon me, just look up Steve Dase on Facebook. You can also look me up on
Starting point is 00:03:50 me we some of you may not know what that is uh that is like the new free speech i guess we'll call it the free speech alternative to facebook right yep okay and then uh follow me on twitter at steve day's show you can tell i've been on vacation for a week and a half this is like the most i have talked since our last day and we're only five minutes into the show my my voice is got to stretch out here a little bit follow me on twitter at steve day show uh over on I think we got it. Over on parlor, that's the free speech alternative to Twitter. Follow me there at Steve Days.
Starting point is 00:04:27 And then where else? Is that it? Oh, YouTube, the YouTube channel. Yeah. YouTube.com slash Steve Days. So there's lots of different ways that you can engage with us via social media here on the show. And then after the program. Because I'm hoping by the time we're done here today, we have said a few things that you find insightful that you want to take with you.
Starting point is 00:04:50 and you want to share with you and with others around you. This is the time of year if we were having a normal year that we'd be doing a lot of recaps. The year that was top ten political stories, news stories, except for a lot of us, the year the year ended on March 11th. For a lot of us, the America that we took for granted all of our lives, that ended on March 11th. And it blindsided a lot of us.
Starting point is 00:05:35 But if we look back at the history that we have lived through in this last generation, as we come to the end of 2020, and there are so many pie in the sky, idealistic notions. You know, we're just going to put this year to bed. Right? We just can't wait to get to 2021.
Starting point is 00:05:59 Because we're better than this, Steve. Yes, because we're better than this. Yes. And if you don't learn from this year, you will not put it to bed in 2021. Instead, it will, I guess we'll go with the term mutate into a new strain of branch COVIDian tyranny. I see what you did there, Lord Fauci.
Starting point is 00:06:33 You see what I did there? Yes. Think about the fact that this year we had a president impeached. It's like that didn't happen. Like we don't even remember it. I mean, like it didn't matter. We had a presidential impeachment proceeding for only the third time in American history. And it was like, whatevs.
Starting point is 00:07:03 The U.S. government verified that there's unexplained phenomena in the skies. Technology that it heretofore was unaware existed on this earth. And it showed us video. And we were kind of like, peace out. Is the election over yet? you know for being told there was no voter fraud i i keep seeing more and more stories now now the pennsylvania republican party is claiming what is it 200 000 more people voted than were registered to do so uh apparently you have to here here's let me just boil down all of the various
Starting point is 00:07:59 tentacles of the debate about voter fraud into one statement for you to believe joe biden won this election honestly here is what you have to believe you have to believe this and this has nothing to do with the Dominion corporate flow chart and do they are we counting votes in China or in Venezuela
Starting point is 00:08:24 and who knows if those things are true and we will eventually find out the truth always finds us out we will eventually find out the answers to these kinds of questions but it will take longer than we have between now and January 20th when a new president
Starting point is 00:08:44 is constitutionally to be sworn in. It will take longer than that amount of time to get to that truth. Whatever you may think of Sidney Powell, you may think she is a charlatan or a prophetess. The reality is, prior to this story, she did win one of the most improbable court cases in recent history on the right.
Starting point is 00:09:06 But it took three years in the Mike Flynn case. He signed his plea agreement, I believe, on December 1st, 2017, and it wasn't until this year that he was exonerated. I can boil it all down into one statement right now, though. To believe Joe Biden won the election, honestly, you have to believe that in a handful of counties, that just so happened to be for decades, notoriously controlled,
Starting point is 00:09:39 by his political party that somehow in those handful of counties that have been notoriously and coincidentally controlled by his political party for decades the people there are just so stupid and so mind-numbed that they are unaware of how to use a U.S. postal system.
Starting point is 00:10:05 They don't know when election day is. They don't know what the law says about when ballots are due and that is the innocent explanation. You laugh, Todd, but that's what you have to believe.
Starting point is 00:10:22 You have to believe that. Because the math doesn't work when you talk about the same party won 15 house seats, but its presidential candidate lost by millions of votes. That's never happened in American history,
Starting point is 00:10:34 at least in two-party history. So the only explanation that you can make for those anomalies, We could do whole shows on those kinds of anomalies. But frankly, the National Republican Party, the Republican Attorney General, and many Republican governors just can't be bothered with these sorts of things and don't really seem to care, right?
Starting point is 00:10:57 So like with aliens, like with impeachment, these are cataclysmic stories will all just move on like nothing ever happened. But to believe Biden won, you have to believe that in a handful of counties, The people there are so dumb, they don't know how to mail in a ballot on time. And that explains the 4 a.m. vote dump-offs. That's what you have to believe.
Starting point is 00:11:21 But in the end, that'll get memory hold. We had a terrorist attack on Christmas Day in Nashville. Motive, who needs a motive? Worst shooting ever in American history in Las Vegas. That was three years ago. Motive, who needs a motive? And we just memory hold that which is inconvenient and move on. How did we become a people who could,
Starting point is 00:11:41 not even be bothered with the truth. We'll discuss that next. President Trump created millions of jobs, saved the economy from a worldwide pandemic, and led the effort to discover a vaccine at warp speed. America rewarded President Trump with over 74 million votes. More votes from African Americans, Latinos, and Jewish Americans than any Republican in decades, suggesting a landslide victory.
Starting point is 00:12:16 But something happened. Some states rushed out mail-in ballots, a recipe for fraud. Biden ballots added in the middle of the night. Suitcases of ballots added in secret in Georgia. Illegal aliens voted. And in Arizona, Trump votes were discarded. It's an outrage. Help President Trump fight back.
Starting point is 00:12:37 Text fraud to 88022. Demand they inspect the machines and hear the evidence. Text fraud to 88022. Stand up for President Trump. Text today. Paid for by Donald J. Trump for presidenting. See, when you're in a culture that doesn't care on a systemic level about what the truth is, you are beyond political solutions at that point. Politics is the result.
Starting point is 00:13:30 Well, at least it's supposed to be the result. of faith and ethics in action. And those are things that are supposed to be based on truth. But when you're in a post-truth culture, when the truth doesn't matter anymore, politics can't save you as a people. That is only when there are spiritual and moral solutions because you're facing systemic spiritual and moral problems.
Starting point is 00:14:05 In 2016, I wrote a book called a nefarious, plot that thanks to Glenn Beck, we're going to turn into a movie next year. The people who did the unplanned movie happened to be tuned in to Glenn's show in September of 2016 when he had me on for the first time to talk about a nefarious plot. And they were interested in what they were hearing, went and got the book, read it, and contacted me the following weekend and in the next few months we hashed out a deal for them to adapt that book into a movie
Starting point is 00:14:48 and we're in the script writing phase for that film and it's going to be released we hope next year in 2021 and in the book A Nefarious Plot when I first wrote this book I was I anticipated that this would be somewhat satirical. That it would be a kind of
Starting point is 00:15:13 polemic using what I hoped was a clever device of a demon general from hell. To almost set him up as like an anti-hero. To connect dots of how we got here culturally. But instead of framing it in your typical conservative or Christian, lingo that would only reach people we already agree with. I don't need to warn most of you listening here today.
Starting point is 00:15:43 I don't need to warn you about where we're headed as a people. If you're tuned into a show like this the week between Christmas and New Year's, you're likely either you're my mom listening in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Wood A.M. Or you're committed to this cause, right? Yep. If you're tuned in right now, if you're not ejected, you're not, and if you, it doesn't mean if you are, you're not committed, we all need a break. I'm on a vacation right now, right?
Starting point is 00:16:09 We all are. We just took a couple days off to come in here and appear on several hundred radio stations around the country. Thought it was worth it. But if you are tuned in live today or you're going to listen on a podcast later, and this is how you spend some of your time between Christmas and New Year's, even in a COVID year, lots of other things you could be doing, then no one would fault you for this time of year, right? It is the most wonderful time of the year.
Starting point is 00:16:32 But if you're tuned in right now, you're pot committed. it, man. You know what's at stake. You get it. Because it's certainly not just for, it's got a good beat and you can dance to it, that you're listening to this right now, right? You're here because you're like Isaiah right now. Here I am, man. Send me. Where are we going? Show me where the battle's at. Give me my marching orders. I'm in. That's why you're tuned in at a time of year like this, unless you're my mom. So I don't need to warn you. So when I wrote an nefarious plot, it was written as a book that you could give to other people that might not see it
Starting point is 00:17:10 with the clarity that you do and to have them look at truth from the other side of the looking glass which is from hell's perspective so I created a character Lord Nefarious a senior demon general from hell and I came up with a narrative that he was tasked by the devil with taking down the United States of America
Starting point is 00:17:34 and thanks to Glenn, we sold tons of copies of that book. It still sells well. You can still get it at Amazon.com, shameless plug. And we're going to turn it into a movie next year. And in the book, Lord Nefarious lays out point by point how he took America down. He names names, like real names, like names of historical figures, heretics,
Starting point is 00:18:06 revolutionaries, why America had to be dismantled, why we were a threat to hell as a country, and then how hell did it. But he doesn't do it in the way, you know, the mustached villain of comic book lore, now that I have you captured, let me tell you my master plan.
Starting point is 00:18:31 It's not like that. No, this is an end zone dance. The game is over. I mean, he's spiking the ball, telling your mama jokes, he's rubbing your nose in it, man. I mean, he's going, this is an alternative title
Starting point is 00:18:47 for a nefarious plot could be how you like them apples. That could be the alternative title to the book. It's a rant. It's a rant of, I own you, and you know it. And the fact that we won't respond to it, we will think it's conspiracy,
Starting point is 00:19:06 we will think it can't possibly be true. It's silly, it's paris. its parody that we're so numb to this in the senses. The serrated edge of critical thinking is so doled that will just shrug it off and not care. And that is how he will, that level of indifference and complacency. Another, a far more bestselling book would use the term lukewarm. That level of lukewarm from those who read it,
Starting point is 00:19:41 or ignore it and don't will be how nefarious convinces his master the devil that he has succeeded in taking america down and on our daily show um on blaze tv noon to two eastern after glenn we've been reminiscing through that book this year and it's frightening how a book that i i meant for to be sort of a more sarcastic version of a Babylon B has turned out instead to be sadly prophetic. And the level of indifference we have culturally this year. The mask work? No, they don't. Well, they don't.
Starting point is 00:20:23 They do. Just wear it anyway. Wear the mask. Just doesn't matter if it works. Data doesn't matter. Anthony Fauci. Yeah, I've been lying to the whole year. It doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:20:31 Just do what I say anyway. Shut your country down based on my guesstimates. Oh yeah, man. I'm sure, I'm sure, for whatever reason, the second biggest county in Wisconsin, Dane County, totally understood how to use the U.S. Postal Service. But the biggest county, Milwaukee didn't. So just toots legit. 4 a.m. vote drop-offs.
Starting point is 00:20:51 No biggie. Aliens. Ah, whatevs. Did you watch Tiger King last night? See, the idea that 2020 snuck up on us is not true. It is a year that the stage was set for for many, many years prior to this one. and it's because of what's gone on in the hearts and minds and in the homes of our country. And that's what we're going to talk about here when we come back on the Glenn Beck program.
Starting point is 00:21:26 My name is Steve Dase, alongside Todders and Aaron McIntyre. How did we get here? Well, we know how we got here on a macro level, but what about on a more granular, individual level? We will discuss that in a moment. This is the Glenn Beck program. By now, you've heard me talk about My Pillow and how it's changed how well I sleep. The pillows don't go flat. You can wash and dry them constantly.
Starting point is 00:21:55 And most importantly, they're made in the U.S. Mike Lindell, the inventor of MyPillow and his team. Starting point is 00:22:41 Call 800966-31117. It's MyPillow.com promo code Beck. MyPillow.com. Back here on the Glenn Beck program. Merry Christmas. Happy New Year to all of you. Steve Deis, I do the show right after Glenn here on Blaze TV from noon to two eastern each day. Filling in for Glenn today and the winter storm here in the Midwest tomorrow, permitting.
Starting point is 00:23:24 Also tomorrow morning as well. I'm with my co-host that are with me here every day on Blaze TV, Todd Erz and Aaron McIntyre and all of you. And I wanted today, I wanted us to have a meta-ted talk about 2020 today. Because if we continue with the lie that 2020 snuck up on us, 2021 is going to sneak up on us too. So in my 2016 book, Nefarious Plot, a demon general from hell essentially regales us with an American version of an Antonio Gramsci story, who was Antonio Gramsci.
Starting point is 00:24:07 He was a little-known Italian Marxist who rebelled against Mussolini, was put in prison. And while he was in prison, he wrote a manifesto. And part of his manifesto was what he called the Long March Through the Institutions. Meaning that instead of trying to rebel openly as Marxists and communists, it would be better to co-opt institutions over time internally. And essentially, on an incremental basis, you create, if you'll catch my drift here, a new normal. And the frog in the boiling water provided it simmers for long periods of time first. Once it reaches the level of boil, it won't feel as inclined to jump immediately out of the water.
Starting point is 00:25:03 It's used to the temperature by now. You are the status quo now. We're not the revolutionaries. We're the status quo. And Lord Nefarious quantifies that for us on an American level. How did that happen to our country? How did your Republican governors, like the appropriately named Mike DeWine, become peddlers of COVID panic porn? How did your universities?
Starting point is 00:25:42 become anti-free speech. How did all of this occur? Well, Nefarious connects all of those dots for us. But there's another chapter to the story, and it's one that's more uncomfortable, because ultimately we are a government by the consent of the governed. You and I, we have as much evil as we are willing to tolerate.
Starting point is 00:26:15 We have as much tyranny as we are willing to tolerate. I thought for sure this year, when we were on our fifth fake funeral, which any other generation would have called riots, but we called them funerals and peaceful protest for a guy that once held a gun to a pregnant woman's stomach. Doesn't mean, by the way, that a cop should have put his knee on his neck for nine minutes.
Starting point is 00:26:41 I don't think that was called for. And he should be appropriately charged for that in his being. But that doesn't mean that the guy he did it to is a saint. We have this thing in our culture where if the alternative is bad, that must mean the alternative to the alternative by extension
Starting point is 00:27:05 is good. And that's actually not how truth operates. That's not how morality operates. Those are subjective scales. Those aren't objective standards. Other generations understood this. That good is not determined by not being as bad as what we all know is bad, but that good is its own reward,
Starting point is 00:27:28 good is its own standard. And good is what determines what is bad, right? Not bad determining what is good as we do now. Hey man, the Democrats are running an open Marxist, true. Well, that must mean the Republican running against them is Joan a freaking arc. False. I'm not saying not to vote for them since you don't want Marxist.
Starting point is 00:27:54 Am I saying that? No. No. What I am saying, though, is to stop lying to yourself. Let's be adults and honest about the choices we have to make in an imperfect world. Because, see, the, nefarious left a key part of the story out. You can corrupt all the institutions. You want.
Starting point is 00:28:28 You can corrupt all the media you want. You can corrupt all the schools and universities that you want. But in our form of government, a government by the consent of the governed where the constitution of these United States begins with the words, we the people in order to form a more perfect union. The people are the ultimate authority.
Starting point is 00:29:01 We have to be willing to be ruled. We have to exchange what St. Peter says. You, my brethren, you were called. You were made to be free, but don't use your freedom to indulge sinful natures where Peter is stating that the original intent of man and now in a post-resurrection world where Christ has come as we sing those carols this time of year. He has come now. The second
Starting point is 00:29:33 Adam to restore the order as it was intended. First to pay the debt for our sins. And then to put God's spirit in our hearts. And then ultimately to fulfill the kingdom of God. And Peter's concern is that we would now, with our restored freedom, we would use that to indulge our sinfulness, right? See, that should be where the battle is at. In our culture, it's not.
Starting point is 00:30:10 Our culture doesn't listen to Peter anymore. Our culture listens to Loki. You were made to be ruled. You seek subjugation. Or as the supervillains said it when I was a kid, kneel before Zod. What broke me this year more than anything
Starting point is 00:30:38 because I thought for sure when y'all watched the fifth or sixth fake funeral or peaceful protest otherwise known as a riot y'all would be like screw that noise man opening the sports bar up on Monday
Starting point is 00:30:55 opening the family business up next week seen enough but we did didn't. Although we're isolated pockets here or there. We just watched on TV and fired off social media posts that then got censored and emailed shows like mine and Glens and said, man, I believe in the Second Amendment and everything, but it really just sucks that my tyrannical governor has kept me in my home. How many of those emails did I get this year? That I didn't see coming. That surprised me. I'm not surprised Andrew Cuomo killed a bunch of people in
Starting point is 00:31:44 nursing homes at all. Are you? No. No. I mean, one of the guys' first acts as governor was signing in a law a bill that lets you kill babies born alive. He's surprised he's killing the infirmed that they think are already dead? I'm not shocked. Just another day that ends in Wyoming, Cuomo land. Anybody shocked at what California is doing to its people? Now, what I didn't see. coming and what spells far more doom for us moving forward than anything government wants to do to us is the fact that we will take it how did we become so paralyzed by dysfunction abuse tyranny bullying my sequel book a nefarious carol tells that sorted that sorted tale. And we'll talk about that next.
Starting point is 00:32:52 You're listening to Glenn Beck. You know, if you're in the age range where you're starting to think about joining a senior's group, or if you're already a member of one, it's important to know that there are not only other options, but there is a much better option. It's called AMAC, the Association of Mature American Citizens, and it is the way you want to go. When you join AMAC, you're not only going to get all the benefits that you're looking for, but you're also going to be involved with conservative activism on the ground level. Right now, for example,
Starting point is 00:33:31 AMAC is continuing its drive to keep the focus on the COVID nursing home deaths front and center by backing support bills and pressure campaigns. This is the kind of thing that you're not going to get anywhere else. People representing the things that you believe in and standing up for you. That's why you have to get with AMAC. Stand with AMAC as they fight the good fight. Become a member today. Benefits are great, but the cause is even greater.
Starting point is 00:33:54 So join right now, AMAC.com. US slash Beck. That's amac. dot us slash Beck. Amac is better. Better for you. Better for America. My name is Steve Days. Tatters and Aaron McIntyre here with me as well. We are the Steve Day show noon to two Eastern right after Glenn Beck each weekday when we're not on vacation as we are right now.
Starting point is 00:34:30 Right here on Blaze TV, we are back from vacation though with the opportunity to fill in for Glenn here this morning. We could not say no to that. And we want to thank Glenn and his entire radio team for lowering the standards. in order to accommodate us or being so desperate to find fill-ins for us to be here for the next couple of days. So how does a culture get to the point that it's willing to be subjugated? What would make, this is got to be the first ever revolution that was started by insurgents
Starting point is 00:35:12 who openly picked fights with the people that own all the guns? I mean, typically, like the Red Coach tried to do, that's what set off Lexington and Concord. Typically, you try to round up all the guns of the people you're about to subjugate first, right? Sure. That's typically what you do. Take the swords and the guns away so that they don't have a means really to fight back against you. That's typically how tyranny works. Instead, they've got no problem infringing on us.
Starting point is 00:35:39 None. And this year, we've seen why that is. I mean, most of us won't even walk into a restaurant without a mask. most of us won't even just open up our businesses. How many pastors listening right now didn't open up their churches? I woke up early one morning in April as we were heavy in now to the, we went from 15 days to flatten the economy, I'm sorry, flatten the curve to 30 days to slow the growth of the American economy.
Starting point is 00:36:23 I'm sorry, slow the spread. Yes, that's what it was. spread. Did I say slow the middle class? I meant, I'm sorry, slow the spread. That's what I meant, where clearly if you own your own restaurant or grocery store or hardware store, you can't stop people from getting coronavirus there, but at every Home Depot Lowe's and grocery store chain, Walmart, Target, they are able to do so. I guess they have that UV light filtration system that y'all just in your middle class and small businesses can't afford apparently, right? And I woke up early one morning, in the midst of this, being knee-deep in pushing back on COVID panic porn,
Starting point is 00:37:07 deconstructing the Imperial College model, when frankly a lot of my brethren, even in conservative media, were like all in on regurgitating it. And I'm like, yeah, this math doesn't add up. I'm not playing it. And I was just shocked to see how easily we could be subjugated. None of us knew what the hell. And Anthony Fauci was.
Starting point is 00:37:34 and suddenly now he's an unelected potentate and we watched even President Trump in an election year hand his presidency over to a guy that to me I think he's the most malevolent fiend I've ever encountered in my time as an American and I'm 47 years old
Starting point is 00:37:56 no one is this consistently wrong on accident and then there's the quack Debbie bedazzle your face shield stay home for Thanksgiving and if you don't meet with family consider yourself infected and get tested oh by the way my parents I'm worried about them
Starting point is 00:38:20 so we're all going to get together but you all stay home, Berks and they essentially ran this country for three or four months into the ground Burks gave us the IHME model Fauci just gave us his own unique brand of sociopath and I woke up one morning early in April
Starting point is 00:38:42 struggling with I cannot believe how many people are just putting up with this how many of my own brethren I work with this industry I show them the data they did cognitive dissonance they don't care and I woke up one morning with the idea of a sequel to a nefarious plot that the battle is really in the hearts and minds of each of us as individuals and that we as a people have to be broken to the point that we lack the the courage of our own convictions to even defend our autonomy as individuals.
Starting point is 00:39:26 And I woke up with the idea for a story called a nefarious Carol, predicated on the idea of now that America has been taken down, what would the devil do with his new chew toy? What would he do? What would he do with a mighty country that was now at his footstool?
Starting point is 00:39:46 And when we come back in hour two, we're going to walk you through that story without spoiling anything. because it's a very personal story that probably connects and touches something each and every one of us have had our own personal struggles with and that's what's holding us back

And you can also subscribe to our daily podcast and go back and listen to our year-end shows, our year-end Dase group roundtable. year in review, all that good stuff.
Starting point is 00:46:17 So we were talking last hour, 2020. We're acting like this is a year that just snuck up on us. It blindsided us. We never saw it coming. But looking at what's happened to us as a people, perhaps we should have. And we talked about my 2016 book and Nefarious Plot, where we looked at from the top down systemic takedown of America's institutions and cherished ideals and traditions. And so now we are having, as a result of that, existential debates, what's a gender?
Starting point is 00:46:57 What's a word mean? We have big tech now. I mean, imagine Ma Bell deciding 100 years ago who would get a phone line based off of whether they agreed with the viewpoints that you were going to communicate over the phone. We would never have been tolerated. That's exactly what we allow big tech to do today. They are the city gate. They are the information super highway today. And you get to plug in at
Starting point is 00:47:26 their benevolence. How did we get here? Well, that is a personal story, and that is a battle that has taken place in virtually every home in America. And that's what my new book, A Nefarious Carol, is about.
Starting point is 00:47:46 The sequel to a Nefarious plot. Available now at Amazon I know some of you got frustrated. We released it right before Christmas and it's sold out everywhere. Thankfully, it is now back in stock. Easiest thing to do if you want a copy is just to go to Amazon.com right now and get yours. But in an nefarious carol, we meet a young woman whose story is sadly not all that unique in our time. Her name is Ray.
Starting point is 00:48:18 And no, she's not named after the Star Wars. character. Her name is spelled R-A-E. And the book is dedicated to my mom and my grandmother. My mom had me at 15 years old. And her and my grandmother worked together to raise me as when I was an infant. They were the first two people to show me what unconditional love is. And so the book is dedicated to them and both of their middle names are Ray. It's kind of a family tradition on my mom's side of the family. And so that's why the female character is named Ray. It's to honor them. We meet a young woman named Ray, and Ray comes from a Christian home. But in many respects, her parents belong to a church, go to a church, they know the churchees, but have not really
Starting point is 00:49:20 confronted their own demons. The dysfunction spills out in the home. Ray rebels against the dysfunction, which she sees not as dysfunction because she's young and immature. As a teenager, she sees it as hypocrisy. She doesn't see that her parents are also struggling sinners. She sees them as, hey, you guys are supposed to have it all together. You're supposed to model to me how this is supposed to look, and you can't do that. So why would I follow what you believe? She sees it as hypocrisy.
Starting point is 00:49:59 And so she rebels. right into the arms of an abusive drug dealing boyfriend. And now she's trapped in an abusive relationship. She doesn't think she can go home again. And finally, one night at Christmas time, when the abuse has just taken too much of a toll, she finally gets the gumption to run away from this relationship. But she has nothing but the clothes on her back
Starting point is 00:50:32 and enough money for a tank of gas and to buy a room at a cd motel in a town she doesn't know on a side of the town she doesn't feel safe just for no other reason just to have a roof over her head for a night and a good night sleep to ponder what her next move is going to be because she doesn't know
Starting point is 00:50:55 she thinks she's all alone in the world and nobody cares about her and it's at this moment alone in this room at Christmas time, that the enemy, the devil himself, chooses to reveal himself to Ray. Because now that America has been conquered is no longer in the way of his master plans, the devil wants to play with his new toy. And he wants America to now be the launching pad for the culmination of his master plan. But for that to take place, for him to give the world its long dreaded and feared Antichrist.
Starting point is 00:51:38 The devil needs a willing partner. He needs a mate. And for the ritual of conception, in this case, to be successful, between demon and human, he needs a female that will give herself to him of her own free will. She cannot be imposed upon, raped, deceived. Now, he's deception incarnate. But it's the truth, as Obi-1 once said from a certain point of view. He has to be earnest with her.
Starting point is 00:52:10 He has to legitimately woo her. And he knows that her favorite story as a child was Dickens or Christmas Carol. So to emulate that story and to touch Ray's heart, the devil takes Ray to her past to the moments that were pivotal in her past that brought her to the moment that she's in of hopelessness right now. he then shows her present to her what's going on in the world around her because of the choices that she has made and others have made against her and then he hopes that by doing so by giving ray what she wants more than anything meaning and purpose to her life that by filling those voids Ray will agree to draw join with him for the future. The book is only five chapters,
Starting point is 00:53:25 the offer, the past, the present, the future, and the close. And at the end, Ray has a choice to make. And the choice she will make
Starting point is 00:53:39 will have an impact on all of humanity. And what you're going to follow along in this conversation is what happens when evil and the lost
Starting point is 00:53:59 clash. what does it mean to truly be tempted? And that we're not tempted with the things that we don't want, but with the things that we do. And what Ray wants most of all is what we all want most of all, meaning and purpose in our lives. And that is what the enemy tempts her with. We will discuss how he tempts her with those things in a moment.
Starting point is 00:54:39 Well, the holidays are finally here. And while it might be the time of giving, for timeshare owners, it's maintenance fee season, the time of taking. Steve Dace back here on the Glenn Beck program filling in for Glenn today and tomorrow with Todders and Aaron McIntyre, the team from Blaze TV, noon to 2 Eastern, right after Glenn each weekday. One of the things we talk a lot about on my show over the years is what I call three-dimensional thinking. And the first dimension is to know why you and I believe what we believe. Why do you believe what you believe?
Starting point is 00:56:17 if you are a a New Testament thinker that is a commandment to know why you believe what you believe Peter writes to always offer reasons have reasons for the hope that you have and the Greek word that he writes there is Apologia where we get the term apologetics
Starting point is 00:56:34 meaning the ability to defend your beliefs unfortunately many New Testament thinkers in America today weren't really taught with how to think through the New Testament. And so a lot of believers don't know why they believe what they believe.
Starting point is 00:56:53 And that's why they feel threatened when they're called to go and share their beliefs with others. When conversations come up and challenges to their belief system are uttered, we are silent because we don't want to look stupid. So we don't even reach the first dimension. Well, the problem you're going to have in a culture, in a post-truth culture, is you're never going to get to stage three, which is persuasion, if you can't lay your own foundation. What is it you're trying to persuade people to? What is it? What is this light that you're shining?
Starting point is 00:57:31 What does it go? What's the light in the stable? Who's in there? Why do I care? The second dimension is to know why other people believe what they believe. When people have a different belief system than us, why do they believe those things? For example, we heard a lot post 9-11 that will Christians and Muslims worship the same God. That can't possibly be true, folks.
Starting point is 00:58:03 And everybody who said that doesn't know what Muslims believe. A Muslim believes, according to Quran, that not only was Jesus Christ not resurrected, he was never even crucified and that Allah put a substitute in there instead to fool the Jews. That's right out of Islamic teaching. so as a Christian the New Testament teaches you that if Christ isn't raised your teaching is in vain and you're all still dead in your sins meaning that Christianity's foremost truth is that Jesus was dead and is now alive and if that is not the case then he's not the Messiah and that we're heretics so one one religious viewpoint says that Jesus lived and died and lives again the other religious viewpoint says that that he never died to live again. And so, and he died later and is still dead.
Starting point is 00:59:00 And one interpretation of that says that actually Allah will send him back later on to punish all of us for claiming he was the son of God because they wrote in the dome of the rock, they carved the words there, God has no son. Now, both of those viewpoints could both be wrong, right? Could Christians and Muslims both be wrong?
Starting point is 00:59:19 Yes. Yeah. Can they both be right? No. No. No, no, they can't both be right. One can be wrong and the other right, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:28 Okay. Or the other wrong and then one right. That could happen too, the other way. Sure. Sure. And they could both be wrong. But when they are both asserting incontrovertible facts as truth, they cannot possibly both be right.
Starting point is 00:59:42 They're irreconcilable, correct? It's just reason and science, Steve. That's exactly what, well, it used to be. It used to be in the way we used to live as a people. And so I wonder, This morning at 1023 Eastern Time. How many people on the hundreds of radio stations were on here this morning? How many Americans, for the first time in their lives,
Starting point is 01:00:10 heard a two-minute breakdown on the creedal differences between Christianity Islam? I'd never heard that in their lives, in their lives. And understand that for the last going on 20 years, We have been involved in military conflict with a part of the world that is inherent to Islam. And how many of you never heard this before? And then let me follow it up with another far more uncomfortable question. How many of you that go to a church never heard this before? And you heard it for the first time from a dude born to a 15-year-old mom who flunked out of college because
Starting point is 01:00:56 they didn't give degrees for super tecmo bowl and intramural basketball and party balls. That's a problem. Is that a problem? A bit of a problem. You know, a guy once wrote a phrase, my people perish for a lack of knowledge. That's a lack of knowledge. Like, who cares about being a theologian?
Starting point is 01:01:18 Do we even know the basic facts that are at stake in our civilization today? No, we don't. We don't know what we believe. That's the first dimension. we sure as heck don't know what other people believe. That's the second one. So one is a foundation. The other one is I've made a connection now.
Starting point is 01:01:37 I know where you're coming from. How do we get to persuasion, though? That is the third dimension. Why do other people believe what they believe about what we believe? One of my favorite movies when I was a kid was office space. And I love the line where the anti-hero in the film says, it's not that I'm lazy, Bob. It's that I just don't care.
Starting point is 01:02:02 All right? it's not that many Americans are ignorant of the fundamental truths of the world. They've not been exposed to the Ten Commandments. If you've watched any of the Fox sports presentations of the Super Bowl in the last 20 years, you have at least seen the entire Declaration of Independence recited word for word in the pregame, right? Yeah. Okay? Americans are not like, oh, hey, babu, what is that?
Starting point is 01:02:33 they don't care that's worse they don't care like there's aliens apparently we don't care illegal or extraterrestrial we don't care voter fraud nah
Starting point is 01:02:48 postal service what is it who knows shut your businesses down boy that sucks oh well we can't be bothered just give me Tiger King and I'll fight through it
Starting point is 01:03:02 and see we think those those frivolities we believe that they will fill the void until once good exits the space and evil says we will take it from here see ray thought that too ray thought that she was getting unconditional love she didn't think she was getting from her family she thought she was getting this from this boyfriend when really he just wanted to use her and abuse her faced with that reality, she has nowhere now to go. So she flees, which is a natural human reaction. But where is she running to?
Starting point is 01:03:43 Her petra is a motel room. Her safe space is a hunting ground. And now she is completely and totally disarmed against what the enemy is going to confront her with, just as we are right now in our culture, completely and totally disarmed. in the face of what we're being confronted with. More in a moment.
Starting point is 01:04:12 This is the Glenn Beck program. President Trump created millions of jobs, saved the economy from a worldwide pandemic, and led the effort to discover a vaccine at warp speed. America rewarded President Trump with over 74 million votes. More votes from African Americans, Latinos, and Jewish Americans than any Republican in decades,
Starting point is 01:04:38 suggesting a landslide victory. But something happened. Some states rushed out mail-in ballots, a recipe for fraud. Biden ballots added in the middle of the night. Suitcases of ballots added in secret in Georgia. Illegal aliens voted. And in Arizona, Trump votes were discarded. It's an outrage.
Starting point is 01:04:58 Help President Trump fight back. Text fraud to 88022. Demand they inspect the machines and hear the evidence. Text fraud to 88022. Stand up for President Trump. Text today. Paid for by Donald J. Trump for presidenting. Back here on the Glenn Beck program.
Starting point is 01:05:42 Steve Dase alongside my partners on Blaze TV. I mean that in a platonic definition, since that word's also been co-opted in this day and age. Totters and Aaron McIntyre, you will be hearing more from them here this morning. So just to stay tuned there. But picking up the conversation where we left it off, the reason why three-dimensional thinking is so important. The reason why it is so important if we want to reach
Starting point is 01:06:09 this era of our countrymen before the country is gone, before the shining city on a hill, and it's flickering right now, folks, before it goes out, is because that's really where the battle is at. We are potentially going to inaugurate on January 20th,
Starting point is 01:06:44 a dementia patient, for president. Seriously. That seriously may happen. And one of the reasons it may happen is because people thought, I hate peace treaties
Starting point is 01:07:03 in the Middle East. I prefer war. I don't like making more of my own money. I want my taxes to go up. And, wow, this is the first substantive growth.
Starting point is 01:07:20 and family median income in America since 1969. Who wants any of that action? I need more government. Actually, most Americans didn't think that. It would be better if they did. It would be better if they did. Because at least that would show there's some contest of ideas occurring.
Starting point is 01:07:43 You know what I'm saying? Somewhere, somewhere something real is happening. Yeah, these ideas are all bad. but at least someone has some ideas to debate in the arena of ideas. We're like standing in the arena of ideas and no one shows up, right? It's like WrestleMania. We play our theme, some kind of patriotic music. We come down the aisle.
Starting point is 01:08:09 Like Rick Flair, we're ready to go. It's the arena of ideas. Let's do this. Then we wait. The opponent's theme never plays. There's no battle. No one else shows up. we wrestle against ourselves in the arena of ideas.
Starting point is 01:08:27 Do you want to know the real reason? Many of your countrymen voted for a dementia patient for president? Because they thought the guy in the White House who did the peace treaties, cut your taxes, and gave us the most sustainable median family income since 1969. They just thought he was a meanie. And just they were tired of it. So Marxism and whatever the hell Kamala Harris is, it is instead, I guess. Think about that.
Starting point is 01:09:05 Stop and think about that. That's worse. That is far worse for us about where we are as a culture. It goes back to the beginning when you said if you take something idolatrously and label it as wrong. Yes. And by default, whatever else exists is automatically right. That's one hell of a rabbit hole you're going down. That's exactly right.
Starting point is 01:09:34 Yeah. So the other guy must be okay because I think Trump is mean. so I won't even vet him on the issues. None of it. I don't care. And we act like, well, it's 2020. Really? I want to vote for the first black president.
Starting point is 01:09:52 I just want to say I did that. I'm not going to have Jeremiah Wright. What is it? Cloward Piven, never heard of him. Nor do I care. Right? And what? The Sam Hill is a Barry Satoro.
Starting point is 01:10:03 I don't know. None of it matters. Then halfway through his reign, we got more people on food stamps and the total population of Spain. Everybody who disagrees is an automatic racist. We're at each other's throats like never before. Right. Right. Right.
Starting point is 01:10:18 See, I've been telling you all morning. 2020 didn't sneak up on us at all. 2020 is not a sucker punch. It's a fulfillment. We've been here already. We just went next level. Like that scene in a Christmas story, right? they didn't start right at the triple dog dare.
Starting point is 01:10:42 Now they did skip a step, okay? But there was a warm up, right? There was initially, hey, I dare you, I double dog deria. Now there was a step between that and the triple dog dare. And they broke protocol by going right to the triple dog there. But the dare didn't come out of nowhere, right? No. No.
Starting point is 01:10:58 It just skipped a step theatrically. That's what happened here. This didn't come out of nowhere. We just kind of skipped a step or two. And we all thought we were going to just be comfortable with life. as we know it and it'll take a few years to go through those couple of steps and then we'll kick the can down the road and confront those steps when they arrive well they arrived with a vengeance see people make choices like this when they lack truth and you know the number one reason people lack truth
Starting point is 01:11:29 is because they lack love the idea that love and truth are mutually exclusive when they're not it's an old line, it's been attributed to Aquinas and many other people throughout church history that people really don't care what they think until they think that you care. So the reason a nefarious carol opens with a dedication to the first two people to show me what unconditional love is like, Freudian's lip but true, what unconditional love is. See, Ray lacks that. It wasn't given to her in her home. she got all the regulations of being a kid in a Christian home
Starting point is 01:12:14 this is the expectations of who you are supposed to be but she got none of the love so she rebelled and she rebelled to a guy that she thought loved her who didn't because the truth is he doesn't know what love is either could probably write a book about how he became an abusive drug dealer wasn't born one that also unfortunately is a sordid place that he never intended to end up, but the choices that he made and others made on behalf of him
Starting point is 01:12:48 brought him to that vantage point. What the enemy is selling her on is reason and purpose, but also unconditional love. He'll never abandon her, he tells her. She doesn't have to change anything for him, he says to her. She's just fine the way that she is. See, the point of the Christmas story, is that God changed, when we couldn't get to heaven,
Starting point is 01:13:27 God brought heaven to us in a barn, in a stable. Jesus is the one kid when his mama yelled at him, hey, were you born in a barn? Yeah, I kind of was. I was born in a barn. The message there is clear. Anyone can approach this place. Everyone is welcome here, just as you are.
Starting point is 01:13:53 now ultimately you'll come away from that experience different than you were right yeah but you can come just as you are how often is that message communicated in our homes in america today why do people look to government for salvation why do they look to government to protect and provide why don't they look to God? Kind of hard to maintain a republic on God-given rights when people don't look to God the way that they used to. Is Nietzsche right? Is God dead and we have killed him?
Starting point is 01:14:53 Has God abandoned us? Or maybe, just maybe? It's our own fault. More on that here. Next. You're listening to Glenn Beck. By now, you've heard me talk about my pillow and how it's changed how well I sleep. The pillows don't go flat.

Back here on the Glenbeck program, Steve Dacier with Totters and Aaron McIntyre. You know, a lot of Americans' favorite Bible verse, for God so truth the world. No?
Starting point is 01:16:41 That's not how it goes. Oh, for God so loved the world. Now, I'm a truth guy. If you watch our daily show on Blaze TV when we come back on Monday, you're going to see over my shoulder in every episode are the words, truth be told. my whole career I've gone by three simple rules fear God tell the truth and then make money we have risked our careers for the truth and the truth is why we're in this business but the truth is though that people ultimately don't care about the truth you have to share with them if they don't think you love them my kids don't agree with me I've got three teenagers they disagree quite a bit
Starting point is 01:17:46 but the reason they respect me enough to listen is because they know and I've shown them that I love them. We have operated in the church in America as if these two things are mutually exclusive for a generation. Churches that are great, on fire for the truth in their pulpits,
Starting point is 01:18:14 but hardly ever baptized the next generation once the parents the time of the parents moves on and they dwindle in size and then they use the dwindling in size as almost like a badge of pride well people hate the truth don't want to hear the truth
Starting point is 01:18:36 that's all true and we're shrinking as evidence of that really because it also says like the very first day of the church Peter stood up and said you all killed your Messiah
Starting point is 01:18:51 and you need to turn or burn that was essentially his message right that very first day that that sums it up and thousands responded to that so the the truth always turns people away always huh weird not what we see in the New Testament it's not what we see in history but then there's the other side says yes Steve you're right on that's why here what we do on Sundays it's just all about love now our people don't know a cotton-picking thing. They couldn't think their ways out of a paper bag.
Starting point is 01:19:35 But look how big the parking lot is and it's all full of cars. Well, of course. You've essentially brought the feminist movement to the church. You know who loves the feminist movement? Guys! So wait, wait, wait, wait. I'm going to get the sex I want from you, but I don't like have to pay for the meal, marry you.
Starting point is 01:20:03 hell, I don't have to hold open the door at the restaurant. You drive a hard bargain, but I guess if you say so... Big Ten. Yeah. That's essentially what these churches do. We're going to remove all of the convicting truth. And we're just going to do do-gooderism with perpetual creepy smiles on our faces. But when it really hits the fan like this year and you really need answers, sorry, we're closed.
Starting point is 01:20:40 I have a novel idea. Literally, we're closed. Literally, we're closed, yes. I have a novel idea. How about we merge these two things? How about we have a fusion of love and truth? Truth is the mission, but love is the motivation. The enemy is attempting to reach Ray with unconditional love.
Starting point is 01:21:15 Why? Because for most of us as human beings, the first notions of who God is will come to us by who our fathers are. Unfortunately, Aragorn, today is the day that the strength of men has failed. You are living in that time. The men have failed.
Starting point is 01:21:48 Masculinity has failed. The men don't fight. The men don't stay. The men don't pay their bills. They're not accountable. They're not responsible. Well, somebody has to fill that void that God put the men in place to fill. What will fill it?
Starting point is 01:22:18 Government. The spirit of the age. All the things that are currently beckoning at our door, threatening our way of life as we speak. Ray has been failed by all of the men in her life. And that's a sad story that too many other Americans can tell. Glenn Beck program. There is a, there's a nightmare that's going on. The left could be on the brink of controlling the future of this nation and our kids,
Starting point is 01:23:09 and they have been funded by giant corporations, like Verizon, who took your hard-earned money when you paid your bill and used to help, you know, put radicals in power. One of the reasons I'm proud to partner with Patriot Mobile is they've never sent a dime to leftist causes, and none of your dollars like they are if you're with Verizon will go there. You can switch with confidence. Everybody's on the same towers. You get great customer service. And you're going to probably save money as well, lots of it.

Starting point is 01:25:51 problem is addressed, nothing is going to change. We won't have a fusion of truth and love or love and truth in our pulpits because most of the people that inhabit those pulpits are who? Men. You won't have a political party that truly represents you because most of the people in that party that hold its offices and its position of leadership are who? Men. We'll continue to have countrymen who look to government as a father and a provider when they don't have one because who did God put in the role
Starting point is 01:26:29 of father and provider and are not fulfilling that role. Men. The problem is the men. But therefore, also the solution. More on that in a moment. This is the Glenn Beck program.

So Todd and Aaron, when you get to the gist of the book, and we don't want to spoil the ending, obviously. But without spoiling the ending, when you get to the gist of the book,
Starting point is 01:28:18 the real battle for Ray's soul that rages in this motel room between her and the devil, really comes down to the question. Who is her real father? Who's the anchor? What's the plum line? And this is a fundamental battle that is happening all over the culture right now.
Starting point is 01:28:36 now and why you can directly link the breakdown of masculinity, fatherhood, and therefore the family to our spiritual decline. And that is the direct link to the political and socioeconomic decline that we see. The men have failed. There's just no other way around that. And that also means, though, that the men are the solution. And it's a little thing. Like, why are we having battles over whether some dude who feels pretty or isn't good enough to beat the boys gets to take your daughter's spot on a track team?
Starting point is 01:29:21 Why are we having that battle, Todd? You know why? Because the courts said so? Well, because of indoctrination in the schools. Those are all the symptoms. The real disease is the dad who sits there in the stands. on his hands and does nothing while his daughter's spot is being taken away and then all the other dads who know that it's wrong who just play on their phones and want the moment to go away rather than
Starting point is 01:29:48 stand up and be counted to stand in the gap instead history is determined by those who show up we're no show stop always they are legion as a father of four daughters myself before I knew that they were going to be involved in track or soccer to the extent that they are, making sure that they saw an equal proportion, and the proportion doesn't always exist at the exact same moment in time, depending on their behavior or the various needs of the day, but that balance of grace and mercy. If you don't have that in your life, you won't need, you won't know how to be,
Starting point is 01:30:35 a man who is a father. When you're a man without kids, that balance is fought over and thought over on different fronts and perhaps the equation and the variables involved are different, but once you're a father, it really gets simplified
Starting point is 01:31:00 on making sure they see both because one does not make sense without the other and you see that in Ray's life. You don't know where the book is going to end, but once you get to that ending, you understand why she is so right for being picked off by the devil, why she has the question she has, because there was no appropriate sense of proportion.
Starting point is 01:31:26 You know, when you're in trouble, your daughters are in trouble, what they need to feel is that lack of that, hug that I got your back that I believed in you that's been taken away if you never ever feel that then all the punishment feels
Starting point is 01:31:45 as something to escape from, run away from the father is just a man in your way causing you problems not somebody you crave exactly so that that balance of grace from mercy
Starting point is 01:32:01 and justice is so vital to the story that Steve is painted through the life of Ray. When you look at your generation of men, Aaron, the putting off of responsibility, the prolonged adolescence. You know, I've said to many young men that have emailed me over the last few years,
Starting point is 01:32:20 you know, am I, I don't, you know, I'm not sure if I'm ready to be a husband. I was writing back, you're not. I'm not sure if I'm ready to be a dad. You're not. And you never are. You're never ready and there's never enough money. So just get used to that now.
Starting point is 01:32:32 I make a lot more money than I did when my kids were born because our show has grown to be successful. I still racked my brain about how are we going to afford all these things, making far more than I was making when they were little. You're never ready. There's never enough money. That's not an excuse for putting off the responsibilities that make your life as a man have meaning and bring meaning to the people around you.
Starting point is 01:32:57 That is correct. And it's something that plagues my generation. But it's not a plague from without, it's one from within. Whether it's driven by fear, which is the most of this, which is something that we're not called to have our lives dominated by, or whether it's driven by something else, whether it's driven by your own selfish desires, which is easy enough, because in our country, at least, and for most of the Western world, this is something that Todd talks about quite a bit. We have so much.
Starting point is 01:33:34 We have so much wealth and we have a great deal of avarice as well. I can go on my phone and look up a porn website and that need, that longing, that desire can be fulfilled without the woman. I can go and I can work for myself and I can go work and save up for the PlayStation 5 or save up for some other titillating entertainment that. fills the desire, not all the way, for adventure and for risk in the life. Yep, both of those things are just fake substitutes. And I don't know.
Starting point is 01:34:18 I think it's different for everyone, but I think from those two desires, whether it's fear, I don't know if I'm ready, or whether it's selfishness. I don't want this. Both those things right now in my generation and to a lesser extent in generation, but in my generation primarily, are why we are where we are. And I would say as well, when we're talking about people, what do we, what do we say a lot, Steve? People are people. People are not constructs. People are people. And that was what was what struck me early on in Nefarious Carroll. Is that it painted a picture.
Starting point is 01:35:04 of someone who is not a construct. Because when we go online and we see videos of people losing their damn minds over individuals not wearing a mask in the grocery store, when we go online and we see hordes of people, right, I'm sorry, peacefully protesting in our nation's big cities, it's so easy to see people as constructs. And that's not what we are called the, do. If you're a believer in Jesus Christ, we cannot see people as construct. He didn't see us as constructs.
Starting point is 01:35:43 He saw us as people needing saving. That's why he came. That's what we're celebrating this time of the year. Everyone, as you said earlier at the top of the show, Steve, everybody has demons in their past that need to be confronted, that need to be dealt with. We all do as well. And when we see each other for the human beings that we are, not as constructs, not as Karens, not as Black Lives Matters, not as social justice warrior constructs, we truly have the compassion that is needed to be able to take the truthful stands that each man is called the do in our country and in our culture. And that's what we need to see more of.
Starting point is 01:36:31 because if you start seeing people as constructs only, you'll never be able to muster the compassion that then propels you to take those stands. Well said. Now, some of you listening right now are like, hey, this is a great Sunday school lesson. This is a great morality tale. Don't necessarily disagree with it.
Starting point is 01:36:51 But, I mean, what's that have to do with cancel culture? What's that have to do with big tech censorship? You know, the nuts and bolts issues that we're facing right now, voter fraud, everything. It has to do everything with all of that. And I will explain more here in just a moment. Sebastian Gorker here with another pain relief testimonial for Relief Factor. Pete and Seth Talbot, the father and son, owner's a Relief Factor, keep sending me all kinds of wonderful testimonials from people who are no longer having back, neck, hip, shoulder, foot or knee pain.
Starting point is 01:37:44 just like this one. I lived for decades in a lot of extreme pain with my lower back and legs. And I heard about Relief Factor on the radio. I tried a three-week quick start. I'm so grateful to Relief Factor that I've gotten my life back. As I was getting older, my back pain just got worse and worse. But after taking Relief Factor, my back pain is gone. Truth is, your pain from getting older, exercise, or everyday living
Starting point is 01:38:09 doesn't have to keep you from doing the things you love to do. Pete and Seth Talbot created a three-week quick start and then discounted it to only 1995. You should give it a try. Let's see if we can get you out of pain too. Go to reliefactor.com, reliefactor.com or call 800, 583, 84. Let's look at two situations, guys, that we face constantly as a culture and in the political realm. Just to make the point that what we bind in our hearts and minds and in our homes is going to be
Starting point is 01:39:00 loosened onto the culture and into the political system. These things are not mutually exclusive if you get the reference there that I just made. Okay. One stems from the other. The Andrew Breitbart saying the politics flows downstream from culture, for example. So one of the, we, we have a, we, we have a One of the debates we're having right now in the moment is about COVID relief and sending stimulus checks to people. And do we send $600 or $2,000? Now, I believe in limited government. I'm a conservative, but there's very little appetite in the American populace right now for limited government. Very few people that vote on it.
Starting point is 01:39:46 And so the debate is about how much money to send. Now, if we're going to have that debate, then dang Skippy. I'd much prefer we sent $2,000 to actual Americans as opposed to millions of dollars to study Pakistani gender equity, correct? I'll second that. Yeah. But is that really the debate of a free people? That debate?
Starting point is 01:40:10 No. That's the debate. That's negotiating terms of surrender. That is acknowledging the war has been lost. So in exchange for me acknowledging that, I want my cut of the action. That's what that is. That's a, that whole, the debate itself is a capitulation.
Starting point is 01:40:34 Because the real debate is, open my damn country back up. I want my liberty back. And then I'll just pursue my own happiness and probably make a hell of a lot more than your $600 or even $2,000. that's what a free people does right that's what a free people says because it wasn't the governments to take in the first place i want i want my freedom back i want the dignity that comes with with my job with my business with fulfilling my talents and skills and that gives me a form
Starting point is 01:41:11 that gives me meaning i i want to serve other people that way that reward means a lot more to me than singing bone thugs and harmonies first of the month at the mailbox. From government, instead of Jehovah Jira, government gyra. Okay? But we're not having that debate, really. There's a few people like my good friend,
Starting point is 01:41:33 Congressman Chip Roy, Thomas Massey, but the reason why we know their names, because they stand alone. By and large, the debate we're having is the capitulation debate. We're not even going to argue anymore that we shouldn't print any more fake money. I just want my cut.
Starting point is 01:41:49 I agree if we're going to print fake money, give the people their cut. But what I really agree with is stop printing the fake money. To most people in Congress, in alienable rights means like sometimes maybe. Yes. That stems from where...
Starting point is 01:42:06 I didn't always grow up in the best home. But, I mean, I didn't always have a model dad, but he did teach me the value of hard work. Didn't let me quit things. to earn everything I had. And he taught me those things in a constructive way. And I've been very, very blessed and benefited from that.
Starting point is 01:42:28 That's where those lessons are taught. That's who teaches those lessons. And the result of those lessons not being taught and passed on, you see in this debate that we're having right now over COVID relief? Previous generations would have exhausted their supply of tars and feathers by now. we're wondering when the new streaming service comes out. I guess we're going to stay home. I mean, let's get some new content.
Starting point is 01:43:06 Without ever bothering to ask, how are they able to continue making these films and TV shows? Well, we're all locked down. Aren't they supposed to be locked down? Right? I guess they don't have to be locked down to film more entertainment for us to therefore remain locked down. ask yourself and it's very dangerous to impugn motives of human beings.
Starting point is 01:43:33 We're not God. We can't read each other's hearts. But I do think it's fair to ask this question because we are called to be fruit inspectors, right? You know a tree by its fruit. If they weren't attempting to, if they were intending to purposefully transfer wealth from small businesses to large corporations. And they were intending to destroy the American middle. class. What exactly would they be doing any differently than we have done for the last 10 months?
Starting point is 01:44:06 Todd go. I got nothing. It's going to be a real short, like Michael Knowles' book on Reasons to Vote Democrat, all the pages are blank. That's going to be a real short conversation. Like California, months and months and months of lockdowns, months and months and months of masks, of more and more lockdowns for more and more surges because the previous months of lockdowns and masks didn't work.
Starting point is 01:44:26 if California wasn't using the virus as an excuse to further impose on the freedoms of its people if it were how would it behave any differently than it is right now what would be any different nothing where is the passivity and compliance in the face of obvious tyranny where is that taught or modeled in the home by a dad who wasn't there or you might have been better off not knowing that he was. How about on a macro level?
Starting point is 01:45:14 We encounter every day the battle against identity politics, right? Yes, to say the least. I belong to this group. I'm a victim. My meaning and purpose comes, identity comes, from belonging to this group.
Starting point is 01:45:30 well as a woman I think this well as a white male I think this way or I can't think that way anymore because I'm a white male I don't want to be racist well you know as a as a vegan pansexual lizard surgeon you have a different perspective on the four chambers of the heart the reason we can't untether the grip on identity politics the ironclad grip it has on so many of our neighbors and countrymen is because it's the substitute for family and church. It's where their identity is held. It's where they're disciples. It's where they're mentored.
Starting point is 01:46:12 It's where they're encouraged. It's the very basis of their identity. It's a substitute family. What kind of a person would yearn for a counterfeit like that? Probably the type that wasn't sadly given the real thing, I would guess. Stay tuned. President Trump created millions of jobs, saved the economy from a worldwide pandemic, and led the effort to discover a vaccine at warp
Starting point is 01:46:57 speed. America rewarded President Trump with over 74 million votes. More votes from African Americans, Latinos, and Jewish Americans than any Republican in decades, suggesting a landslide victory. But something happened. Some states rushed out mail-in ballots, a recipe for fraud. Biden ballots added in the middle of the night. Suitcases of ballots added in secret in Georgia. Illegal aliens voted. And in Arizona, Trump votes were discarded. It's an outrage. Help President Trump fight back.
Starting point is 01:47:32 Text fraud to 88022. Demand they inspect the machines and hear the evidence. Text fraud to 88022. Stand up for President Trump. Text today. Paid for by Donald J. Trump for president. Art to keep free speech alive. There's much more after the break on the Glenn Beck program.
Starting point is 01:47:56 That program, Steve Days, filling in alongside my co-host on the Steve Day show, noon to 2 Eastern after Glenn Beck on Blaze TV. Todders and Aaron McIntyre here with me. We've been talking today. Filling in for Glenn. Today, we've been looking at America kind of in 2020 from a moral and spiritual level. Tomorrow, weather storm permitting when we come back in, we're going hardcore politics tomorrow. So if those of you that like more of that, we're going to kind of kind of look at the state of conservative politics heading into 2021 with a good friend of ours. That's going to be on the show tomorrow. But this morning we've been talking about my new book in afarious carol, which lays out the battle between the lost and evil when good is nowhere to be found, when good seems inaccessible, disinterested, ineffective. And the lost are left one-on-one up against evil. And the lost in this case, is the female heroine Ray, who is one-on-one with the devil himself in her motel room,
Starting point is 01:49:21 one desperate night at Christmas time, trying to figure out her next move while the devil is tempting her to join him instead. And a lot of us guys this year have been frustrated. We see a Republican Party not fighting on the voter fraud, or really anything else, right? we see our churches are closed our businesses are closed our kids are wearing Chinese face diapers that don't work and that's even if they get to go to school and and we keep looking around who's going to stop this who's who's going to make this end i have a suggestion look in the same place that oj should have searched for the real killers. The man in the mirror. The answer, folks, is us. Pastor, get off your
Starting point is 01:50:47 rear end and open your church. Yeah, I'm talking to you. And if you don't, frankly, you're not deserving of your calling. If you are frustrated that your church won't open, open your home, do Bible studies in your home, invite people to come. Exactly what seminary was Peter a graduate of, Do you know? The Sandals on My Feet Seminary. Yes, yeah, yes, yeah. Todd's Catholic, so I always give him the Peter questions. What seminary was it that, what was it,
Starting point is 01:51:32 what New Testament seminary was it, Aaron, can you recall, the one that Paul went to? What was the New Testament seminary that he went to? I believe that was Scales Seminary. Thank you, yes. as in falling off your eyes. Yeah. Open up your home then.
Starting point is 01:51:50 Have the church in your home. Why are you waiting for somebody else to give you permission to corporately worship? Invite the people that are willing to come. You know, Jesus tells a tale of a banquet where the king had seats set aside for the people that were invited and were meant to be there. But then they refused to come. They had all kinds of excuses. So he finally tells us servants, you know what? Then we'll just, they had their chance.
Starting point is 01:52:14 We'll give those seats to any. who's willing to fill them then. That's what's really sad. I was talking with my wife about this. This was a gargantuan opportunity for the church in 2020. And instead, they clutched the fear cactus as hard as any entity. Instead went up to that 18th green at Augusta National with a two-footer, just to tap in for Bertie and to win the green jacket, right? And the church went up there, man, and sphincter puckered hard.
Starting point is 01:52:47 hard okay and burnt the edge instead that's what the church did my business is closed you dude why is it it was it was it was and we had her on the show god bless her why is it though it was like one the one chick in Dallas that opened up her salon you ever notice too these mask videos it's always a woman who goes into the store without a mask who's confronted by a guy who clearly has not known what it's like to pick his teeth up off the floor in too long of a time, right? Yeah. Where's the guys doing this?
Starting point is 01:53:23 Where are the guys, 15 of us are just going to walk in, we're walking in, none of us are wearing masks. They can't fight all 15 of us, right? Right. Folks, where do you think this thing called America came from? Those 56 men that signed that Declaration of Independence, they pledged their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor in that order. Almost all of them paid at least one.
Starting point is 01:53:49 of those three prices and many of them paid them all what what do you think the cost of this was you just taxed their tea a little bit too much and it was on when when a 29-year-old baptist seamstress jumped on a bus one day named rosa parks and said you know what no no i'm not i just i'm not i've had a bad day today i ain't having it not doing it so no no is my answer they could have taken her out behind that bus and beat her to death and not a judge in that county would have convicted him of it. Where are the men who will say no? No!
Starting point is 01:54:36 No! Not happening. We're not doing it. No is the answer. Thank you for your take on things, but the answer is no. No. Because I can promise you. Until good people learn how to say no,
Starting point is 01:54:55 evil will continue to say yes. or we'll take your silence as acquiescence and as a yes. When will all of this end? None of it will end. We're just going to shift the battle next year from. Take our vaccines that the World Health Organization say don't even work. Who knows who knows? But they could be lying. We don't know.
Starting point is 01:55:23 Do I, geez, who would I trust in a debate between Big Pharma and the World Health Organization? You know, is Viking funeral an option? I'll take that. It's the Russian roulette table and deer hunter. No doubt. I mean, there's the lady or the tiger. That's what that is. Okay?
Starting point is 01:55:42 So who knows? Who knows? And I'm not anti-vaccine. I'd kind of like to see if they work before I throw something in my body that needs to be kept at negative 94 degrees Celsius that you just came up with in six months when apparently for 70 years
Starting point is 01:56:01 we couldn't come up with something 90% effective against the flu. But in seven months, we did it for a novel virus. Okay, I'm not saying it doesn't work. I'm just saying I kind of want to see it work first. We don't know what they're going to say to people like us? Well, cool. You can't go back to work, can't go to any more sporting events,
