Chris Lict is the guy who was running CNN and he came in from, was it Colbert? I think it was Colbert. It was one of the comedy shows. He came in from Colbert. He's had a long history working. He worked at his journalist at one point. He's worked in comedy for a long time. And he was the guy that discovery brought in after the merger. They got rid of the old guy, Zucker.

They brought in licked to run CNN to try to change the culture. And one of the reasons they stated was, we've just turned into basically an anti-Trump propaganda machine. Yeah. And they had. And they had. I mean, it's true. That's not to say everybody there was always that way, but most of them were most of the time. Yeah.

And it was kind of just, it had become absurd. They had some good ratings at certain points when Trump was president, but of course when Trump isn't president, that approach doesn't work all that well. And the ratings had died and, you know, the network was having all sorts of trouble. And Chris Licks theory was to come in and make it more of a straight down the center news organization again. Like it once was in the 80s. And really it was. It started out that way. It started out as actual news.

At least that was the attempt. You might have put a bunch of liberal journalists trying to do. that in there. So it leaned left. You know, we remember Rush Limbaugh years ago calling it the Clinton News Network. Oh, yeah. In their early 90s. I mean, it was definitely left leaning, but so was everything else in the media.

But it wasn't like it is now. No, it turned into something totally different in the Trump era. I thought he actually kind of did improve it a little bit. Yeah. I mean, they were making some strides at becoming more non-biased. I will say, I think they've definitely improved it.

And in fact, I believe they've raised it a solid D-minus. Yeah. Again, that's a huge improvement. From an F-minus. From an F-minus. Yeah.

You think, like... Or maybe even a G. It might have even been G. G-plus. It was a G-plus. So, again, I would say, overall, it's still... The coverage does not make me happy.

No. Nor will it ever. But it had, I think, improved. I think the tone of it had improved a little bit. To a point that it was at least notable. Sometimes you'd actually see a conservative on the air who was making points that were conservative. Sometimes you would see a story covered in a fair and balanced way. It wasn't constant, and I'm not going to sit here and defend CNN's coverage completely,

but I think it was going in the right direction, which of course is part of the problem if you're actually CNN and the people who work there. If it's going in the right direction for me, for Pat Gray, for Stu Berger, for Glenn Beck, that's terrible. That should never happen at CNN. Yeah. And because of that, I mean, Chris Lict has been fired. He is out at the network is the way they're putting it. Now, what's interesting about this is about a week ago, there was a 15,000 word profile that came out about Chris Lict,

written by a guy named Tim Alberta, who is, I don't know, I'd probably say he's a moderate reporter. Like, he's not a left-wing ideologue. He used to write for, you know, more conservative publications. Now he's at the Atlantic, I think. Which is pretty left. Pretty left. But, you know, sometimes the Atlantic employees people who aren't super liberal, like they're, you know, they're a weird publication.

Most of the time, they're pretty reliably liberal. But sometimes they'll put people in there that are a little bit different. And Tim Alberta's, you know, he's a reporter. He's definitely been critical of Trump. He seems to have a lot of, you know, he wrote a book called American Carnage a couple years ago, which was an interesting behind the scenes read. But you could tell who he has contacts with. He's got a context with a lot of mainstream Republicans, very well sourced in that world, but also a lot of people had a lot of anti-Trump stories in this book. Anyway, the point is that this, they gave him access, Chris Lick gave him access for basically the whole year to CNN, to follow him around, to follow them to workouts, you know, to be to be in some meetings, to they had dinner a bunch of times.

You know, this was one of those efforts to get the big glowing profile of the CNN turnaround. That was the thought a year ago. Yeah. Well, the year went by, the profile came out, 15,000 words, and it was just... Scathing. I mean, it was really, really ruff. It was bad for licked. Really, really rough.

And it was a lot of stuff that, like, you know, I would argue is somewhat petty. Like, I guess the last guy, Zucker had his office outside of the newsroom on the 17th floor. and Lick came in and was like, yeah, I'm going to the 22nd floor. I'm going to be in a separate floor. I'm going to put my office up there. And we're like,

that shows he doesn't not want to talk to the workers. It was stuff. It was crap like that. And like, you know, okay, maybe that was a bad idea. I don't know. You're trying to endear yourself

to a new group of people. Maybe moving your office to a different floor is. I mean, but I mean, also, it doesn't that say that you're pretty petty as an employee? I mean, who cares where your freaking boss's offices?

Do your job. You know, I don't know. Right. I find that that sort of criticism to be nonsense. But one of the big parts of the criticism was they were upset about the Trump town hall. The employees basically fully turned on him then. Yeah.

Because they let Donald Trump go on the air and say the things he wanted to say that they didn't agree with. And here's the thing. Right before the town hall with Donald Trump, apparently, word was that Chris Licked said to Donald Trump, have fun. Mm-hmm. That's what he said to him. That's one of the big reveals in the piece. Have fun. Have fun.

Well, you know that's unacceptable. And the piece is like, have fun. And then he did. That's like the way it was a big dramatic reveal in the piece. And it's like, well, you know, look, they don't like Donald Trump over there. I don't think Chris Lick likes Donald Trump at all. You know, I've heard some people describe him as a moderate. some people describe him as sort of an old school, maybe even like a New York Republican,

maybe even, where he's one of those guys that, again, would be way more liberal than most of this audience, but is not completely against, you know, having lower taxes or something. You know what I mean? Like, it's not completely. So that, of course, is a huge problem at CNN, I would imagine. If that's actually who he is, that's a huge problem for him. Yes. How do you keep it together when you have such an evil,

a group of evil around you, like a person who might like lower taxes or something. So he was picked apart and that was a big part of it, the Trump situation. Now, he even, I think, described the crowd he put in there as very Trumpy. And it was. I mean, look, it felt like a rally. It really was. It really felt like a Trump rally. And sometimes you just have to take the L.

Trump dominated that event. He won. If you want to say wins and losses, Trump won. He got in there. He was able to completely handle the crowd. He handled Caitlin Collins. He really did. He was good.

Yeah, he was good. Again, you might disagree with all the things he was saying, but I'm saying just tone-wise, who won the evening? He crushed him. He crushed him. And that was the last thing in the world CNN wanted. They saw themselves as this bulwark against the evils of Donald Trump. And here's a guy who's letting him have a voice.

Now, I think, Pat, you're the historian around. here. In history, like, one thing we've tended to do was allow the leading presidential candidate from one of the two parties speak. I mean, just historically, wasn't that part of the way we approached things? It seems like that was part of American history. That was my memory. Yeah. You know, and now all of a sudden, apparently you're not supposed to do that. I mean, Elon Musk is hearing that, you know, he's allowing people to speak. And it was also a huge. And it was also a huge. huge ratings gain for CNN. I mean, they crushed in the ratings that night.

And they've not been anywhere. And Fox, in fact, when they did, didn't they just do a tonne hall with Trump recently? And that didn't score nearly as well as CNN's did. That's interesting. Yeah, beat it by a lot. And so you would think CNN might have been happy about that, but apparently not.

No, apparently not. And I guess the ratings have not been good over. Overall, though I would argue that would be expected, right? If you're taking, what you've created over a four or five year period was a bunch of MSNBC Huffington Post bloggers watching your network, right? You probably have taken some viewers from MSNBC over the years, but you've lost a lot of people who want normal news coverage. And that's going to take time to rebuild.

If that's what you want, it's going to take a lot of time to rebuild that. People on the right or moderates do not. trust CNN anymore. If they ever did. Yeah. And so to bring them back into the fold, you're going to have to do multiple years of not even D-minus coverage,

but like, I don't know, C-plus coverage? No one's expecting an A. I am not expecting to get the coverage that I want from CNN. I just don't want to be completely lied to every moment of the day. That's all. That'd be nice.

It's a lot to ask apparently now, though. It really is. Well, if he's try to do it, you get fired. Yeah. Yeah. You get thrown out. Have they mentioned who's going to replace him yet? Do they have any idea? Well, they did bring in an executive right before this profile came out.

They knew it was coming. I don't think they knew how bad it was going to be, but they knew this profile was coming. And so they had brought in somebody at, I don't want to say C-O. Chris Lict was a CEO. They run in someone at C-O from like the corporate structure, a guy who is, I mean, I need to get into all the details of this, but like a guy who's pretty more loyal to a discovery guy, right? Yeah, I thought it was a discovery person. Yeah.

And so the idea was, well, maybe Chris Lick stays, but this guy takes over a lot of his responsibilities and directs the ship. And apparently that wasn't even tenable. So really an amazing turnaround. I will say in Chris Lick's defense, he lasted longer than CNN Plus. Oh, yes. A hell of a lot longer. A lot. A whole year out of this.

Yeah, not bad. CNN Plus was just a few. weeks. So you take some solace into that, you know, and it's funny, you know, every, every time something bad happens to, you know, like a presidential campaign, we've got a bunch of people running for president and the conservative side. They'll have campaign shakeups over the years and CNN will be on the air over and over again to tell you the story about how pathetic those organizations are. They will tell you over and over again when people get thrown out at other media organizations, particularly conservative ones, when they have Me Too scandals

and all these other things. And every time you read one of those stories, remember there's five of them going on behind the scenes at the place reporting it. Every single time, these people who led the coverage of all the Me Too stuff, years later we find out they had all these Me Too things going on

at the same time. They had all of these accusations, people being later thrown out of their jobs because of this. And when you hear them cover it for other people, it's just this high-minded, I can't believe this is going on in 2023. And then, oh, by the way, we just fired our head executive for X, Y, and Z.

It happens over and over again. And that didn't happen with Chris Licked, as far as I know. This is just a normal performance-based thing. And he lost the staff. Yeah. You know, that's, I think, what happened here. This profile.

Again, I don't understand, Pat, why people agree to profiles. And especially an in-depth one for like a year. A year. Why would you do that? What are you going to get? would you do that? And I think that you're going to, I'm going to be the one to win them over.

Yeah. And they're going to love me. I guess it's arrogance maybe because I can't think of any other reason to allow it. Yeah. I mean, I think, like, no. Apparently people in CNN were like pushing back at the time saying, I don't know if you want to give this much access. And his opinion was basically, I'm going to turn this ship around. And this is going to be like a hero story.

Yeah. You know, I'm the guy who's going to come in here and turn this crappy crap heap of a network into something good. And we're going to want that to be documented. And the person who wants that access always lies. Remember Brian Stelter? I did. Coming here, he lied. I mean, he was just a lying sack of crap.

He wrote a couple of good pieces about Glenn over the years as well earlier on. But then. But these, some bad ones as well. And then eventually Glenn walked off the air in the middle of an interview with him. Remember that? Yeah. On TV, which is something you don't see that often. No.

But I will say Brian. But it felt good at the time. Who got fired by Chris Licht. man, was he excited to cover this story over the weekend? Oh, he loved it. He loved it. You know, I mean, he can blame him. Yeah, he's apparently getting calls from all the people who hated it.

Chris looked at CNN and then he was just writing it up. You know, again, this happens. This happens. All right. AAA 727 BECK. More coming up in a minute. So do you think it's strange how the left seems to hate history and is always wanting to rewrite it? It's pretty simple, really.

It's true. It's true. It's true. I can't keep the lid on this thing any longer. I know you're bursting with excitement. Mike Pence is running for president. Yeah. Yeah.

This is just days after Doug Bergam. Jensen. No, it's just Bergam. It's just Bergam. Just Bergam. From North Dakota. He's in. He's in the governor from the great state of North Dakota.

And he brings, of course, now should he not win for some reason. I mean, I can't imagine it, but should he not win the actual nomination? I'm sure that the person who does can't wait to make him the running mate for the vice president because you bring those whopping three electoral votes to the table. Well, three. What if Doug Bergman could help him? Bergam? What if Doug Bergam, Meister Bergam? What if he could help you swing North Dakota?

Pat, the Republicans are already going to win North Dakota. And maybe... Not without part of... You think without Doug Bergam? I'm saying if Doug Bergman is not on the ticket, the Republicans will be the favorite in North Dakota. And maybe that's because of the great work Doug Bergam is done in North Dakota, right? Thank you. Yes. And maybe he's done it too well. And so even if he's not vice president, they still carry the state.

for only the what, 75th time in a row or whatever. Right. Whatever it's been. I will say, look, maybe Doug Bergham is, I don't, I will say I don't know enough about his job. Maybe he's done a great job. He may have. I will say, North Dakota's had a pretty good run here.

And he's been the governor and it seems like he's done a good job. So, and there's a lot of Republican governors out there that are pretty solid. Yeah, it's a leap. It's a leap to go from. It's just that nobody knows who he is. Yeah. Nobody knows Doug Bergam. This is how they know.

This is. Run for president. This is how you introduce yourself to the people these days. Yeah. And Chris Christie's running too. I noticed you didn't even hit that. Is that because you're scared of him? Christy! Yeah, I am. I am scared. I'm afraid he might swallow me whole. Knowing what we know, Pat. Knowing what we know about Chris Christie. Yeah. Mike Pence and Doug Bergam. Yeah. You're going, Bergam. I'm going. I am. You're right. I don't know anything about Bergam.

But I'm Bergam-I'm burgified. I am. I, the Bergamentum is real with me. Yeah. And that particular, if you have that race. If you have those three. Now I, I, now you're, you're discounting Trump and dissenters.

No, I'm just saying if it's just those three, the others have to drop out in this particular scenario. But if you have those three, if you could only vote for one presidential candidate that announced this week, I'm in Bergam County. That's where I am. I don't know anything about Bergam County.

I don't know what it's like. But again, I know a lot about Chris Christie. And I know I don't want that. Yeah. And Mike Pence, look, it's a little bit of a complicated story with pets.

He's done a lot of good things. He was a pretty good congressman. Yeah. He was a pretty good governor. You know, as a vice president, he didn't really learn much about him because he basically backed up everything Donald Trump said every single day.

Until the very, very end. A lot of this audience really would like that. Yeah. Right? I think most, so you'd think there's a rationale for him. But then the January 6th thing happened in January, you know, into January 20th. and people completely turned on the guy.

And so there's no excitement for him. He's not exciting naturally. He's a very... Right. He's not an electric speaker. No. And I don't know what... I mean, he's an okay speaker.

Yeah. Comes from a talk radio background. He's, you know, but he's not exciting. Not exciting. He's not electric. Yeah. And I don't think there's... I just don't think there's any appetite

for a Mike Pence presidency. Well, you're wrong about that, my friend. I just saw a poll where he's at... Four percent. Yeah. Gosh. Four. Stop with your anti-Bergam propaganda.

But I would assume he'll be back in for tomorrow show to address the Chris Christy, Mike Pence, and Doug Bergham announcements. He'll want to do that because he's missed all three of these huge announcements. Yeah. I know we have a lot of viewers and listeners overseas. For sure. Yeah, there's no question. He really will appreciate it. But in case you missed the big Chris Christie announcement, here it was. And it was about our country and its future. And I wondered. He wondered what our choice was going to be.

Okay. We were going to be small or are we going to be big? Well, I think you've answered that. Yeah. Come on. It's too easy. What is he doing? Are we going to be small or are we going to be big?

The guy had lap band surgery and he still made that decision very clearly. And he's still... What is he doing? Big. Okay, so it's a big announcement. However, he went really small during his speech and here's some of the times when he mentioned that. We're going to be small, smaller and smaller. It's smaller in every way.

Smaller and smaller in the way. Smaller. Small. Small. Small. Small. Small. Small. Small. Small. Small. Small. Small. Small. Small. Small. Small. Small. Small. Small. Small. Small. Small. Small. Very weird. Who made that video, Marco Rubio? And Rubio is like, screw this guy. If he repeats anything, I'm making a video about it. It's funny because that was essentially the criticism of Rubio, right? It was in his big debate moment in 2016, the only thing anyone remembers Chris Christie's performance for when he flamed out, embarrassingly, much more embarrassingly than Marco Rubio, we should note. Because Marco Rubio took a drink of water?

Was that, no, that was a different thing, I think. Yeah, the Rubio, the water thing was different. This was, he repeated himself a few times. He had like some sort of catchphrase. I can't remember what it was off the top of my head. But he, in the debate, kept saying, like, one of those dumb political catchphrases, like, you know, kind of like that. Like, are we going to go bigger or are we going to go smaller? And he kept saying it the same way.

And after a while, after two or three times, and Christy called him out on it, and then he said it again. And that was really what kind of made that into a moment. A couple of things about that moment, though. I think it's, it was more Rubio having a bad moment than Christy having some amazing moment. Like, all he did basically was say, hey, Marco, you're repeating yourself over and over again. And we need people who are going to, who are going to speak from the heart, not speak. from catchphrases. That was basically all that was.

And everyone remembers it as this moment that sunk Marco Rubio. Like, I don't know. Is that fair? Was Rubio winning that campaign beforehand? I don't know. No, he wasn't. Rubio has heard this literally so many times

he decided to address it yesterday. And I think there's something to his point here in some parts that are not necessarily accurate. He said, Rubio said, Any political reporter or commentator claiming Christy ended my campaign in 2016 is lazy or dumb. NH debate sucked, he's admitting that. Because instead of hitting back when attacked like I wanted to, I listened to advice about pivoting and not punching down on Chris Christie,

who was at 7% and about to drop out. But it didn't end my campaign. Look, that is... I don't think that's exactly right. I think he did go after Christie a little bit. But the punching down advice probably was real, right? like Christy was an absolute nobody in this campaign, despite the fact that he's kind of a northeastern type of guy and was supposed to do well in New Hampshire.

It's where he focused all of his attention. Then Rubio goes on to say, after New Hampshire, I finished second in South Carolina and Nevada, which I would have, I kind of forgot, honestly. Yeah. And then won three primaries, almost one Virginia on Super Tuesday, finished with the third most delegates behind Trump's historic campaign and was re-elected twice by eight and 17 points. So like, you know, is Chris Christie got a better resume than that? No.

I would say no. Definitely not. His campaign was much more of a disaster. He just jumped out and then because Chris Christie makes decisions that are always best for Chris Christie, I mean, I'm not saying in a dietary sense, but I'm saying from this, Sorry, I made myself laugh on that one. From the sense of, you know, his political career. Like that's, he's making, so he dropped out after getting slaughtered in the primary he put all of his attention to.

And was the first guy to endorse Trump. And of course, Trump, who has a little bit of that in him as well, you know, he'll take you on if you're friends with him. If he thinks being friends with you today, I mean, he did this with literally Kim Jong-un. When he thought being friends with Kim Jong-un was good, he was friends with Kim Jong-un. he was friends with Kim Jong-un. When he thought he was going to blow him off the planet, he said he was going to blow him off the planet. When he said he was bad, he was going to blow him off the planet.

With Christy, he hated Christy until it was helping him, and then he embraced Christy. And Christy was embraced Trump, and they had this big relationship. And then that fell apart, and now they hate each other again. Right? Like, this is just part of politics.

It's nothing more than that. But I think it is a little overblown that he sunk the Rubio campaign. I mean, that's kind of a narrative that is outlived. its relevance, I would say. Trump responded to Christy last night via a tweet and the fact that he used the word small so many times. He said, he tweeted out, well,

truthed out. He says this was on truth. He's not on the Twitter still. Even though he can get back on. Elon Musk has activated his account still on truth social. But he posted, how many times did Chris Christie use the word small? Does he have a psychological problem? problem with size?

Actually, his speech was small and not very good. It rambled all over the place and nobody had a clue of what he was talking about. Now, he hates Christy. And Christy hates him. And now this guy that was very close to becoming, getting a cabinet level position in the Trump White House. And that's what he wanted, it seems like. Yeah, attorney general, right? Yeah.

He wanted attorney general. And he was not going to get that because he put Jerry Guster's father in prison. when you put Is that an issue? Yeah. Huh. The son-in-law of the candidate. Yeah.

You put his dad in prison. And Jared didn't like that too much. Now, I think there's more to it. I think Trump correctly recognized that Chris Christie is an opportunist and would have sold him down the river at his first opportunity. Yeah. I don't think, I think Trump was very smart to keep him at a distance, even though he embraced him publicly, I don't think there really ever was a warm relationship there.

And, you know, look, Christy is now coming into this race with this idea. And the reason I bring the Rubio part of this up, Pat, is because the argument for Christ Christi being in this race, if you want to make one other than he wants attention and to get on television, is that he's going to be the guy that's going to take it to these other candidates. He's not going to be afraid of them. He'll come out and say them. Especially Trump.

That's what they're saying that he's going to go after Trump. And some DeSantis as well. Yeah. And he, you know, and I think this is a somewhat legitimate criticism that some are making, which is people are so, they walk on eggshells so much around Donald Trump because they're afraid to lose his voters that they don't really call out Trump directly. It's a lot of like, well, you know, some people are doing this and I won't do that. It's like, well, some people, what do you mean? Some people own large hotels with gold. And some people own golf course.

courses in Scotland and I won't be that kind of president. It's like, we know who you're talking about. Just say it. Like, if you want to run for president, be a man or a woman, and step up and say, guys, this is my opponent. This is my competition. This is who I'm going to be better then. And this is why I'm going to be better than him.

If you can't bring yourself to actually talk about him directly, I don't know. Should you be president of the United States? the rule of thumb is that you only talk about them if they're above you in in the ratings or the polls or whatever. And that's what he was talking about punching down last time. Right. Chris Christie. That's what Marco Rubio was talking about. Well, uh, Trump is the leader. So yeah, you can, I mean, you're punching up. And that is a real strategy. It's, yeah. It goes back to, I mean, you know this from mooring radio, right? Like one of the things you do as a mooring radio host, if you're in a, you go into a new market and you're, you're, you're the number two guy. and you're trying to get attention for yourself.

You take on the number one. You take on the number one guy. You go after him. You make fun of them. You do stunts. You get out in front of them. You want people talking about you. But if you're that big show and you've got this upstart down there,

the strategy typically is to ignore them. Right. Who cares? They've got this smaller audience. The more I talk about them, the more attention I will bring to them, the more people who might go to them. Yeah. And that's what Rubio was talking about there.

He was the big dog in that race as compared to Chris Christie. And while he, it was had a disaster in New Hampshire, he had a couple of good primaries after that. I mean, it wasn't over for him. If he had performed better in his home state, he could have been the nominee. Right. The problem was they got to Florida and he didn't perform. He lost in Florida.

And you can't do that. No, not your own home state. No. The same thing with Desantis. If he gets to Florida and he doesn't win Florida, which by the way, the polls are not showing he's going to win Florida right now, way too early to actually matter. but if he were to lose Florida, his campaign would likely be over. Apparently, according to his internal polling,

Desantis has cut the lead in Iowa by 14 points. That's what is internal. Never backed down PAC survey that was shared with Axios has DeSantis closing the gap between him and the frontrunner, who of course is Donald Trump. Let's not say it. Let's just say the hotel owner. The hotel owner, which.

Gold, lots of brass. He's got the guy. Well, you know, some other candidates will host the Apprentice for multiple years. Between him and that guy? Yeah. Has been reduced by 14 points. In mid-May, before Santos officially announced, he was at 24% in Iowa polling compared to Trump's 48%. So it was 24 percentage points.

And now a. it's 10 percentage points. Take internal polling for what it's worth, which is very little to us. They're not going to tell you if the polling looks bad. And even a official poll that is very well done at this point means very little, I think. I think it's interesting though. Look, you look at some of these candidates, Chris Christie does not belong in this race.

No, no, no. And that's, I think, an important line. he has not accomplished enough. He has had a time where he probably did belong in the race. I think 2012 would have been a time he belonged in the race. You could argue 2016, but like now, it's just ridiculous, right? I think, look, people like Tim Scott, people like Rhonda Santis, people like Nikki Haley, you know, Christy know him if she decided to get in.

Greg Abbott, if he decides to get in, are people who have arguments, right? Chris Christie has no argument. He has no argument to be in this. race. Right. And it's just like this is obviously a vanity project for Chris Christie. He's sick of being ignored. He's been ignored and just made made fun of for eight years. And, you know, now he wants to get back on the spotlight. And he can act like it's this big project that he's trying to save the Republic. Nobody believes that. Nobody. Not even Chris Christie. Holy cow. That is, I'm not a huge golf fan. No, I don't care. But this is staggering news that the PGA and Live have merged. We'll get into it in a few minutes. Yeah. Some of the most amazing pieces of hypocrisy, perhaps ever. Ever. Ever in sports history. And we cover politics. Yeah. We covered John Kerry for years and we were amazed by the story. That's saying something. Saying something. So really amazing. Did you watch the Tucker Carlson thing that came out on Twitter last night?

I did not see it. I heard about it, but I didn't see it. About 10 minutes long, his first episode, I guess. Oh, 10 minutes? Yeah, just like basically a monologue of sorts. Okay. And that was it. Talked about Ukraine and the dam being broken and who was responsible for that.

He's certainly a believer that Ukraine is the one that did that. and also UFOs. He thinks Ukraine damaged their own dam? Yeah, and I was in Russian territory. It is a really weird story. It is a weird story. You know, there was some, they had talked, I guess at some point, I have not seen this, but Tucker mentioned that they had talked at some point,

their Ukrainians, about targeting that bridge. However, Zelensky also talked about saying that the Russians would target that bridge. You know, I guess it just depends on who you believe. you know and I obviously we I mean Tucker is a super super big skeptic of the Ukraine situation so you not not a Zelensky fan I think that's one thing you'd gather from his first episode but has a you know supposedly tens of millions of views and what is it 65 million views now 65 million views now wow again a view on Twitter is you're scrolling past it it's the video starts and you continue to scroll that counts as a view it's a weird metric that's not to say that's 65 million

and people watch the 10-minute monologue. But the fact that... It's still a real big number. It's a really big number. And that's... It's an interesting thing Twitter's trying to do. I mean, Musk keeps saying he wants liberals to do it too. Come on over.

Put your liberal monologues on here, too. We want them all. And the left so far hasn't really taken them up on that. Which is not a huge surprise, I guess. But I guess they don't like playing in competitive environments. Because they can't win. Yeah, that's the main reason. They can't win on the playing field of ideas.

With Pat and Stu. For Glenn this week, he's on vacation. I, we have got to get into this PGA. situation. I'm not even a big golf fan. I mean, I follow it like sort of you know, on the fringes, really. I like to see if Tiger Woods

won a tournament. That's about as far as my interest goes. On a Sunday, if I'm bored enough, you know, and there's a close, you know, last couple holes. Will you actually watch them? Yeah, and I've gone to. Going to golf tournaments is fantastic. It's a lot of fun. Okay. It's a really fun day. I'll have to trust you on that.

I've never done that. It's really, never done that. It might not be fun for you as you're not a you don't like to consume alcohol. Right, right. It's a big part of the day. But I would say you have a lot of fun at going to a golf tournament live watching on TV. You know, sorry. If you love the sport, you love the sport, of course. Right.

I'm not a guy who loves the sport. Me neither. But I know people, people in my family who absolutely are devoted to golf fans and are going to be upset with the PGA caving in like they just did. Beck.com. The PGA and Live Golf, the Golf League, the brand new golf league, it's been what, a year, two years since this formed, and they stole away a couple of PGA

players, but there's some big ones too. Yeah, Brooks, Kepka, of course, Phil Mickelson, who was supposedly paid $200 million. That's tough to turn down. And he didn't. Oh, gosh. I mean, I would I would go in the room with Khashoggi for 200.

No, I'm like kidding. It's the type of thing that makes you think, hey, I don't know. Most people. You know what? He had it coming. He had it coming. You could convince me. Maybe he's not a good guy.

I don't know. What has he done? I'm worried about it. I saw a blurry figure in some security video. Was that him? I don't know. I don't know. Thank God the Saudis are here.

Now, I mean, I think $200 million convinces people to do a lot of things, right? I mean, and we should be clear. From the beginning, I've, I stood here. Look, it's a little silly, a little silly to sit here and criticize these guys for taking $200 million to play golf in another league. If Saudi Arabian money is behind it, well, guess what? Everything you buy comes from freaking China. Right. Right?

Like, you know, unless. to justify that. Yeah. It's hard to justify that, right? Because the Uyghurs, for one thing. Yeah. For a hundred different reasons. Every country, like, yes, Saudi Arabia has a pretty bad human rights record.

But so do a lot of countries around the world. And I'm not comparing, you know, I'm not going to be the person who's like, well, every country has done bad things. And therefore, I think, you know, look, Saudi Arabia is on the, toward the bottom of that list. There's real problems there. I can understand why people would be offended by it. But, like, you know, when the NBA has deals with China. who's objectively worse.

And the excuse. At this point. Everything. They won't address anything. Anything. Anything. In fact, China is verboten for players in the NBA to even discuss, really, unless it's in a positive manner.

Right. You can only talk positively about China. Otherwise, you're nearly kicked out of the league and you're certainly silenced. Yeah. Remember the general manager of the Houston Rockets who said something and, oh my gosh, he's persona non-Grizona now? All he did was tweet a picture. of supporting Hong Kong.

Right. And he was, I mean, he was chastised by the league. Yeah, he was bludgeoned by the league for it. Much, much worse. And like, look, in an in a global economy, when things are being, you know, do we think we agree with everything India does? Do we agree with everything Bangladesh does? Do we agree with everything Vietnam does?

You're buying products all the time from these companies. Why is golf the one thing? Every movie you go see has a deal where they're doing in another country and they're giving tens of millions of dollars to other countries. countries that have terrible human rights records and they're filming there. Isn't Tom Cruise in bed with, is it Saudi Arabia or is it China? I don't know. Some crappy.

He got a lot of money from somebody we don't like. I can't remember who. But he financed Top Gun Maverick with it. Right. And you'll see people and there were tons of them on ESPN yesterday doing, criticizing all these. So indignant. So indignant about it.

while they're owned by Disney, who's making Mulan like in a prison camp. They like went to a prison camp because the shot looked beautiful. And like, hey, let's actually use the slave labor for this particular shot. Yep. I mean, it's just so hypocritical. So from the beginning, I thought it was hypocritical. You're never going to be able to approve of all the bad things that other countries do. If you're going to do business in an international way, this is going to be a constant struggle.

And the fact that just people like Phil Mickelson have to answer, every other business gets a pass. But poor Phil Mickelson and Brooks Kepka have to answer for everything Saudi Arabia does. And it's just insultingly stupid to me from the beginning. It is. But the PGA made such a big deal out of it that you thought, okay, well, this is going to be a thing for a while. And they're going to ban everybody who goes to live,

the Live Golf Tournament, which is funded by the Saudi Arabian sovereign wealth fund, So they're going to ban all those guys from the PGA. Well, it turns out they kind of didn't because they could play in all of the majors. Which is really the only thing they care about. Which is weird. And that's all they care about. Because they only have to show up to a few live tournaments to make 200 million. Or in Kepka's case, I think 100 million.

Yeah. And by the way, it's a lot of money. The rumor was that Tiger Woods was offered 500 million. Yeah, I heard eight. 800 million. And I heard it could, they could have easily gotten them up to a billion. And he didn't take it. No. Now, look at him.

Like, after, because, you know, in case we haven't got to this part of the story, they merged. Right. They merged. And so after saying, how is that possible? They were basically Satan and working with the 9-11 terrorists. And all the Jamal Khashoggi stuff. Yeah. Well, they killed Jamal Khashoggi, the journalist. And we can't, I mean, that's horror of 9-11.

Yeah. I mean, they were throwing that around. Yeah, they were saying. The BGA leadership was throwing that around. They were saying, like, how could you do this? to the 9-11 families and then like six months later, like, we'll take that money. Are you kidding? So think of all the dynamics here, Matt.

Amazing. Amazing. They said they would never do this. They said you would never have to apologize for being, you'd never be embarrassed to say you were a PGA player. And yet here they are saying, you know, the 9-11 families, you're not honoring their memories, right? And then they take the cash.

And the only thing that makes any sense here is that there's a meeting in Saudi Arabia and the guys are like, hey, we keep buying these golfers and their contracts for like $100 million. What if we just buy the whole thing? Yeah, what if? I don't just buy the whole thing. What are we doing? Why are we screwing around with this new, our own league? Let's just buy that thing.

And they're calling it a merger, I think, from a PR perspective. Like, I think what's happened here is they lined the pockets of everybody who works there with so much money. They couldn't say no to it. Billions of dollars in place. Really incredible. And it's interesting, too, because. a PGA had just rearranged everything to try to be on par with Liv's arrangement with their players.

For instance, one of the problems with, you know, for people like Phil Mickelson and Brooks Kepka is it, if we don't make the cut, we actually lose money because we paid for our own way here. We don't get any money from the tournament. And so we've wasted all this time and effort and money coming to this tournament. and then I get nothing to show for it. Well, when they show up for the live tournament, they get paid. They get a certain amount of money guaranteed. And so the PGA started offering lots more money.

They started doing these different things so that some of these guys could make, you know, not just three or four million dollars for winning a tournament, but $18 or $20 million for winning a tournament. And of course they had this money the whole time. Yeah. You know, so it was kind of disgraceful. They weren't doing it anyway. But, you know, they're a business.

Yeah. But they've done all these things. There are technically some weird, like, non-profit, too. Yeah, that's weird. I don't know how that works. One of the goals here for the PGA was to turn themselves into a for-profit enterprise, which, of course, you know, everyone likes to do that. But, I mean, you know, I have a friend who was sort of on the fringes of professional tennis years ago.

And he was describing to me his life. And, man, it sounded like it sucked. Really. I mean, like, you play obviously constantly to get better. he was, you know, I don't know, one of the top probably thousand tennis players in the world, right? Like to the point where he would be on the fringes of getting into these major tournaments and he would get some points on the tour. But he was not a, you know, a guy who was winning big tournament, he wasn't winning the U.S. Open. He wasn't, you know, doing anything like that.

He would get into smaller tournaments. He would be in, you know, sometime he'd be in secondary tournaments that a lot of the big players weren't at. You know, maybe he wouldn't even qualify for some of them. But he was saying that basically what happens is like, you're paying for your own travel. you're living three and four people in a hotel room. You're getting sponsorships, but the sponsorships are paying for rackets and shoes and shorts and shirts.

And he's like, I've got more of that than I'll ever need. Like, I've got more shoes than I can ever use in my entire life. But it was costing me money. And then I'd get a good run in one of these tournaments and I'd make enough money to pay for the next two or three tournaments. That was it. Wow. So he's constantly living on the edge.

and then you get injured and you get zero dollars until you're healthy. Yeah. And this is a really difficult life. And it's a little different obviously with golf. Unless you're a big star. Right. But if you're a big star, it can be really, really. But, you know, a big star in golf or tennis, you're talking about what?

The top 150? Mm-hmm. There are not a lot of jobs there, Pat. Right. You know, so, and you have a bad year, you're gone. So, you know, you can understand why these guys wanted. PGA's making money, no matter. or who wins.

And so, hey, like, guarantee these guys something so they can continue to make this worthwhile. And I think Live Golf really improved things for those golfers. And maybe the PGA said, look, we can't continue to keep paying these amounts. We've got to embrace these guys. But when your commissioner has come out and said, hey, you know, you can't disgrace the 9-11 families by going to play a couple tournaments with LiveGolf. And then, by the way, we're going to merge with them. Like, how do you make that work? I don't know.

How much money you need too? Because he was just saying that to Jim Nance like less than a year ago. Yeah, it wasn't that long. And so for all of a sudden, the PGA, and from what I've heard, and they've kept this really quiet. I mean, they were really secretive about this.

And it's hard to keep a lid on something like this when you're negotiating with the enemy like this. And then your PGA players are out there bashing those players who have left the PGA. for Liv. You know, people like Rory Malcolm, Malcolroy, who has been really vocal until recently when he decided, yeah, I'm not going to talk about it anymore. I wonder if this is the reason. Yeah. I mean, he was supposedly offered nine figures from, from LiveGolf, didn't take it. And then came to be the lead spokesperson, basically, to say how bad LiveGolf was and how everyone

should stay with the PGA, because it's the only thing that matters. Yep. And, you know, that's really rough. This is from ESPN personality, Mina Khyans. She says, put yourself in the shoes of a PGA golfer who turned down the live money. Over the last year plus, you have believed you were taking a principled stand. You've watched your peers accept, in some cases, hundreds of millions of dollars to link arms with a regime with a terrible human rights record. You may have spoken out against that record, and you've been told yours is a player-run organization. Today you wake up and you realize that was all a lie. And it's true.

Although I will say if you're working at ESPN, do you have that same thought? Right? Like I, right. The same thing, you are owned by a company who is doing business with the worst regimes on earth. And there's not a second thought. They don't deserve, they don't get any of that criticism. Look, I think you can just say blanket, look, I don't make decisions for foreign governments. And I'm going to go do the things that I do.

And if I draw some lines personally, I'll draw some lines personally. But if you're going to make a big stance as an organization to say, hey, this other golf league is essentially responsible for 9-11. I don't know. Maybe you don't merge with them a couple weeks later. Exactly. It's not a lot to ask, is it? I don't think so.

No. And it's interesting because Rory McElroy is just a few moments ago was talking about still having confidence in PGA Commissioner J. Monaghan. How is that possible? I don't know. And that, okay, we can't just welcome back the live golfers who defected. What do you mean? What?

Of course you can. How can you not now? They're your sister organization. Right. There's two interesting questions here, Pat. Do they compensate people like Rory McElroy? As part of this deal, does he get some cash for turning that money down? Yeah.

I don't know. Probably not, but they should. He should. And the other part is now, the way those live contracts were structured, it wasn't like they got a check for $300 million. they were getting paid for these events. If as part of this deal, they cancel the Liv Tour, which is, I think, possible because it wasn't catching on at all.

And now they have the PGA. Why do they want to keep this stupid side thing going? If they were to cancel this, do people like Brooks Kepka lose out on 80% of the money they were promised? That would be a whole other controversy. Man. They've really screwed this up. Seems like a mess to me. Triple-8-7-27.

to make the switch from PGA to the Saudi tour first catch. I mean, Greg Norman was a big part of forming this former player, but, you know, Mickelson was a big, big catch for them. So there was a CTF, PGA apology that went like this. I'm going to ask about this. There was a story that was first reported in the New York Post yesterday by Brian Wacker, about a 9-11 coalition of families and survivors of the 2001 terrorist attacks. 9-11 families United sent a letter to the representatives of Phil, Dustin, Bryson, Reed, and others,

quote, expressing their outrage towards the golfers for participating in the new league and accusing them of sports washing and betraying the United States, in quote. And that's gotten a lot of steam over the last 24 hours. That story first reported again in the New York Post. How much did you talk to your players about the possible ramifications? if they signed on with the new league? Well, I talked to players. I've talked at a player meeting,

and I've talked to a number of players individually for a long period of time. And I think you'd have to be living under a rock to not know that there are significant implications. And as it relates to the families of 9-11, I have two families that are close to me, the lost loved ones. And so my heart goes out to them,

Yeah. And I would ask, you know, any player that has left or any player that would ever consider leaving, have you ever had to apologize for being a member of the PGA tour? Well, now, I do. Yeah. Now. God, it's so bad. It's so bad.

You know, people always criticize, you know, like Roger Goodell, for example, like for being the commissioner of the NFL. And they, they look at what he said. and look at what he said this other time. And this is just part of this gig. Like, you're just going to have to just say, yeah, I said the exact opposite thing. And just walked just a few weeks ago.

Yep, just push right through it. This act, I think his response, when someone asked him about that particular clip, he was like, well, look, you know, I did, I said what I said. And we know, we're going to have to talk about that. And blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. You just got to push through it.

It's like you're like in succession. Yep. Right? You just say what you need to say at that given moment. And you don't worry about the typical human need to not be completely hypocritical. You just don't even worry about it. You just push through it. You can't.

There's no explanation for it from the BGA. There's no, what are you going to say? What are you going to say? They threw so much money at us. We stopped caring about Jamal Khashoggi in 9-11. That's basically what you could say. It's the only thing that would actually be true. We never really cared about Jamal Khashoggi in 9-11.

Right. What we cared about was losing these golfers because it hurt our business. So we said the thing then. That we needed to say then that would help us then. But this is now. And now we're saying the thing that is going to help us now. They gave us a bunch of money. And now we're going to say we love the Saudis.

And in fact, the king is the greatest human being of all time. He is helping. He is the only guy who, he tried to jump in front of the planes on 9-11. He tried to nurse Jamal Khashoggi back to health. We love him. We love him. I mean, that's basically what's going on here. And I, you know, I guess this is why you get paid millions and millions of dollars to just walk through those typical human instincts to not do things like that.

Right? That's why the money's there, I guess. I guess so. I guess so. Fascinating to watch. Oh, my gosh. It's absolutely astounding. It's really astounding.

All of a sudden, we're just all worried about, you know, we never. cared about drag queens jiggling their genitals in front of children before. Now all of a sudden, here's this moral panic. I do believe these people. We never did care about drag queens before. No. That much is true. Isn't that something that never gets addressed? Right. Why didn't we care all of the previous years? Ignored. Yeah. Because we didn't care. Go ahead and do what it is you do in the comfort and

privacy of your own adult situation. But when you drag kids into it, okay, yeah, now we care. Yeah. Now, it's a problem. When you're trying to introduce books that show cartoons of pornography for children, yeah, like we care about that. We've always cared about that. What we didn't care about is you doing a drag show at a nightclub. Yeah, you care. Have you ever heard? A bunch of 30-year-olds whooping it up over a guy who's dressed like a girl. Yeah. I don't care. No one cares. Now, there is an additional layer to that, I think, which is just we're sick of the pandering.

Yeah. You know, the Bud Light one falls into that category. You know, like Dylan Mulvaney being on a can of Bud Light isn't exactly the same story. It's a different story. It's the pandering that's just annoying. Like the whole Pride Month thing where everyone has to put out, you know, two guys. Like someone, I think it was pottery barn today has some like thing where they're like, hey, like, here's two guys in their kid and there's their new nursery. And it's just like they just, every company feels the need to pander to alternatively.

lifestyles. And that's irritated. And that's just like, pathetic. Like, it's the same, it's the type of stuff that we used to make fun of companies for. Right. Like when they would just be like, hey, we swear we're Bud Light. We've been talking to you about frat parties for the past 50 years, but we swear we really care about your transgendered issue. And no one believes them. And showing bucks and

babes and bikinis the whole time when nobody necessarily asked for it. But you just show it to us every day. And now all of a sudden, that's terrible. Right. We're not like that. Yeah, and that is just like an irritating cultural pandering thing that is annoying to people. But stuff like, you know, having

drag shows for children, that's not the same story. That's like, we've crossed many lines there. Our own Sarah Gonzalez just did a yet another expose. Here again, in Texas, of a family-friendly pride event or you're walking around and it's just like, there are, you know, sex toys and, you know, shirts with like, you know, all sorts of

disgusting sexual phrases and pictures on them. There's drawings and illustrations. There's people walking around half naked. And it's supposedly all ages, you know. And she's done more to expose that than pretty much anybody. But, like, the media won't do that. They won't even, they don't care. They think it's psychotic to care about it.

But, like, in reality, who's in the. middle of a moral panic. Is it us? I think we have a pretty justified reason to say, hey, certain parts of this culture we need to push back against before we cross many, many lines that the vast majority of people are uncomfortable with. It's not just conservatives who don't want sex toys in front of children. That's kind of like everybody. It's like 80, 90% at least of people who feel that way. But while that's going on, you have places like the Human Rights Coalition, which is a terrible group. It's not fighting for human rights at all. It's just a liberal propaganda group. But they're coming out and they are participating in a travel ban for LGBTQ Americans to not go, or not travel ban, I guess a travel warning to don't go to Florida. Don't travel to Florida. Don't move to Florida because they're passing all these really nasty laws that are going to, they're trying to eliminate you. I hear people talk about this all the time. ERAZure. or they want to erase trans people.

They want them to not exist. I don't know anyone who thinks that. No. I don't want to erase anybody. We want to be honest about it. We want to be honest that, you know, they're not actually men when they say they're men or they're not actually women when they're saying they're women. And we want to be honest about the actual truth.

But I'm not trying to erase them. People are dealing with something serious there and they might need some help dealing with it. And they should try to get that help. You know, I mean, that's, uh, they always say we need gender affirming care. I kind of agree with that. I just don't think we agree on what gender affirming care is. Affirming your gender is when you're a woman telling you you're a woman.

That's affirming your gender. Not the opposite. Yeah. Not when you're born with male genitals and you're telling them that they're a girl. That's not affirming the gender. That's telling them the opposite of what their gender is. And these are the things that the right has been upset about. Exactly.

Especially when it comes to kids. Because the radical agenda of the left. and of the trans and gay movement is doing just that. They're trying to redefine genders. They're trying to redefine truth. They're trying to redefine our civilization. I mean, they've changed our language. They've made pronouns a big deal now all of a sudden.

They've attacked women in sports. They've ignored women's and girls' rights in bathrooms and locker rooms. And these are the things that we're worried about. I don't care about a drag show for adults. If that's what you want to do, go ahead. And I don't care if you want to identify as a woman, but don't make me identify you as a woman when you're a man. And don't try to go into a woman's restroom as a man, pretending to be a woman.

These are basic things. And, you know, I think it's important to note that it's not really that the left cares about any of these issues per se. they care about is upending our entire civilization. Yeah. And this is how you do it. When you overturn things like men or men and women are women and you're able to convince people that there basically is no truth. There is no standard.

There is no norm. When you get rid of all of those things, your society basically collapses. And that's, of course, the actual goal of the left. They want this, the idea of America to go away. And after calling us the ones who are science deniers. And here they are literally. literally denying science and biology and reality. But we're the ones.

Yeah, we're the ones. So the HRC, the Human Rights Coalition, has issued a national state of emergency for LGBTQ plus people. Now, I don't know why they didn't add the extra Q, the I, the A, or the two. I don't know why. They don't like those groups. Insensitive. Insensitive. Not inclusive.

Not inclusive. And what about that second cue? It doesn't get mentioned nearly enough. Yeah. So have you left out? Queers? Or have you left out the questioning? I don't know. But one of the two has been eliminated from your group.

Here's what their statement said. This is amazing, Pat. We have officially declared a state of emergency for LGBTQ plus people in the United States for the first time following an unprecedented and dangerous spike in anti-LGBQ plus legislative assaults sweeping statehouses this year. More than 75. anti-LGBQ bills have been signed into law this year alone more than doubling last year's number, which by the way, isn't what they are.

No, of course not. They're totally fraudulent. And they actually list what they are. And they say our community is in danger, blah, blah, blah. So there's a national state of warning. By the way, some of the things that we're talking about here are like the bathroom laws. If women can go into men's bathroom or vice versa, that's an anti-LGBQ law. they have the pronoun refusal law,

the anti-drag ban, which again, there is no state in... It's for children. For children. Which they conveniently leave that part out. The gender affirming care ban. Again, that's not what that is. It's mutilating children again. I like this one.

The sports participation ban. Yet we just, yeah, Nicky, you can't play any sport. They just banned all sports in these states, Pat. Wow. That doesn't seem right. you'd think too, but apparently not. No. But I was thinking about this, it's like, have we lived,

don't we live in a country where things are pretty good for LGBTQQIA2 plus people? Like I, isn't it pretty good? It's better than pretty good. Like, because when you say it's bad, you have to, you have to answer a follow-up question. And that question is, as opposed to what? Yeah. As opposed to San Francisco? as opposed to some utopia you think you've built

that is apparently covered the streets in human excrement all the time, but you think it's great? Like what is, as opposed to what? What country are you comparing this to? So there's a new poll out. This is from Gallup. And they surveyed people in 146 countries and asked them, hey, is your environment a good, welcoming place for,

I think they say, gay or lesbian people. So only the L or the G, I guess. Wow, that's so non-inclusive. But it's an old poll. They've been asking it for a very long time, which is an important part of this. So they asked the people about that,

and they came up with some pretty interesting results. Globally, 50% of people say their area is a good area for LGBTQQIA, 2 plus people to live. Okay? 50%. What's the number in the U.S? Now remember, there's a national state of emergency for LGBTQ people. So you'd think it would be lower than the global average, certainly.

Maybe it's at zero percent. Maybe that's a good time for an emergency. But no, no. That number is 80 percent. 80 percent of people say this is a good place for people with alternative lifestyles to live. It's a good place. Now, that number is higher than tons of people. and tons of countries. I believe we're 15th overall in the world. Fifteenth highest in the world.

There are a couple of companies, Norway's at 92%. They're number one. Sweden is number two at 91%. The Netherlands at 90 and Iceland at 88%. We are tied with Belgium. Now, does Belgium have a national state of emergency for LGBTQ acceptance? I'm guessing no. I'm not positive on that, but my guess would be no. My guess is no as well. And we're right, we're right next to Denmark. and a bunch of these supposedly enlightened European countries. By the way, the lowest on there, you want to talk about emergencies. There are some countries you might actually state our emergencies

because we are basically tied with Belgium, Finland, Denmark, New Zealand. I mean, these are countries that the left holds up as beacons of hope for their values. Malawi maybe not quite as good. 3% say it's a good place for gay people to live. Senegal, 3%, Armenia, 4%. Kazakhstan, 4%. It goes all the way up. There's about, I don't know, 10 or 15 countries, under 10%.

Isn't it illegal in Russia? Didn't they... Yeah, Russia's not even on the bottom list. Wow. Russia apparently is higher, and it's actually illegal to do. The point is that we agree, and it's fundamentally part of our country and its foundation, that we believe that people who have different, make different lifestyle choices,

who have different sexual orientations, who do all sorts of different things, get equal rights. We all, that is part of the foundation of our country, and it's true and it's happening. It wasn't always true. We've had certainly dark periods

when it comes to that, but it's true now. Equal rights are what we're talking about. And this is a place, that generally speaking people don't care what you do. We don't care. If you're going out and going to a nightclub and having a drag show, nobody cares. There are restaurants in New York City that, like, you can go and dine at the restaurant

and all the waiters are in drag. And people think that's entertaining. Okay. Fine. Fine. Okay. Good luck with that. If you're doing a sexually themed drag show with pornographic images, with sex toys,

and you're inviting children to it, that's a problem. That's a problem. It's not a problem for conservatives. It's a problem. It should be for everybody. I think it should be the rest of us declaring a state of emergency right now. It's the rest of society. AAA 727.

It's awesome. We mentioned that their discovery, I guess, in celebration of Pride Month is doing a thing on Abe Lincoln supposedly being gay. But also, Elliot Page is being compared to Jussie Smollett over an alleged transphobic attack. I mean, it does sound a bit fishy here. Okay. Why does it sound fishy? We all know that all transgendered people are attacked daily. Daily.

Every single day by haters. Yeah. Transphobes. Disproportionately victims of horrible crimes. And you know, you can look at some of the numbers. We've mentioned this, I think maybe earlier this week. But for those who missed it, you know, you can look at some of the numbers and see higher rates of murder for transgendered people. Now, of course, part of that is they're a very small percentage of the population. Very small.

So a few murders, you know, makes that average rate go up quite a bit. but I was talking to somebody the other day who's writing a book, Chad Felix Green's writing a book about this and he went back and looked at every murder, every murder of a transgendered person over the past, I think it was like 30 or 40 years. And he, what he wound up finding is that

in the overwhelming majority of the cases, the situation related to the murder of the transgender person was not the one the media would promote. For example, they would say, okay, it's a bunch of Charlottesville-type people with their torches and they're chasing down trans people in the streets and beating them up and killing them just because they're transgendered.

That's what you're led to believe. That's what you're led to believe. The actual circumstance in almost all of these cases is related to often a sexual encounter, often for money. prostitution, sex, sex industry, where a person represents themselves as one gender, and when the sexual activity begins, the person who's with them discovers they're the other gender. So they go in there thinking they're hooking up with a girl and wind up, they're hooking up with a boy.

That's basically where the overwhelming majority of these cases come from, often in incidents involving prostitution. So you have a John who's paid for a woman to come to his home or meet in a hotel room. And that, you know, as the process goes on, the person finds out it's not a woman at all. It's actually a man dressed as a woman. And that is a little disturbing for some people. There was a movie about that. Was it crying game? It was the crying gadget.

Yeah. Yeah. I can't remember exactly. Maybe in the 90s, I think. Yeah. And somebody was really surprised. It was a really famous scene, and I didn't see the movie, but I heard much about it. And apparently the person was quite surprised.

And didn't take it. Take it very well. I don't think most people would. Most people wouldn't. Now, I will say this. If they're expecting a girl and it's a guy. Yeah. When you get to a certain area and you find that out, it says it can be a little jarring.

A little disconcerting. I will say, if this has happened to you, the appropriate response is not to kill the person. Right. Right. That's, that's cool. We can be all quite clear on that. You might have many responses. responses, but killing the person is not a good idea.

No. However, that is totally different than what we've been told about this problem. Yeah. So the violence against trans people, make sure you understand the context of what they're talking about when they say these statistics. Sorry to interrupt Pat. No, but that's, it's good context. In this particular case, apparently, uh, Elliot Page, who used to be Ellen, I don't want

a dead name Elliot. but that used to be, that was the name that she was born with. That is now a he. That is her name until she changed her name legally,

what you can do. To Elliot. Yeah. When you're, you know, people were like, oh, I'm not going to call,

you know, uh, her a hymn. And I think that's totally fair. Like that is, you are judging a factual truth. I will say, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

is his name. Right. Right. It's not Luasinder anymore. He changed it legally. It's okay to call him Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. I think it's like, look, he changed his name to Elliot Page, whatever.

I can, you know, you want to call him, Bruce Jenner, you want to call him Caitlin Jenner? I don't know, that's fine. Like, he changed his name. That is different than saying that he is a woman, which he is not. Right. Right. Okay, so Elliot claims that an A-list actor once said to her, I'm going to effing gay bash you and then use the F word referring to homosexuals.

And, you know, it sounds offensive, but it also sounds not real to me. I mean, do, I don't know, maybe A-list actors talk like that. Most normal human beings just don't. Hard to believe. Now, you want to tell me that some random person on the street, they're drunk, they blurt out some terrible thing to a famous person. I could buy it. Still, I don't think it happens very often, but it's possible, certainly some random person.

But you're talking about an A-list actor? I don't know who they're saying this is. Of course, they won't tell you who it is because then you could check on it. Yeah, right. But come on. Really, it seems unlikely. Now, I will say A-list actors are among the worst people in our society. So it's possible that it's true.

Yeah. I mean, like, go back to the M-Chetech. movement. We got a lot of criticism on conservatives over the Me Too movement that we didn't understand. I don't know. They seem to all come from Hollywood. Are there a lot of conservatives out there? How conservative was Harvey Weinstein?

I don't remember. I mean, it's just, you know, it's nonsensical that they always try to push this off on conservatives. It is. And it's amazing that Elliot Page just so happens to have a book coming out with this contained in it. And so now this is coming

Very surprising And of course You know you can't fact check it. You don't know because you don't know who the person is. You can't ask every A-list Hollywooder, Hollywood celebrity, whether they did this. And there's no evidence.

And it's just the, it's just like this is, this is what the media does all the time. They want you to believe this is the case. When in reality, you know, Ellen Page, Elliot Page walks down the street every day. And probably,

most people honestly probably don't even know who she is. Because frankly, she was in a couple of really good movies. I mean, Juno is a good movie. It's a legitimately good movie. And I swear, this is the reason why all this happened. This is my theory. Now, let me get to the doctor.

Can we go to Dr. Stu Land here for just a second? Sure. I just analyze this situation because I have a lot of medical information. Because wasn't Juno fairly? It's a pro-life movie. It is not. They would never say that. They did not want it to be a pro-life movie.

But Juno is a really well-written good movie and also is blatantly pro-life. It makes you, feel like you shouldn't kill the child inside of you. That is the feeling you will get from this movie because, you know, and she, she goes, I mean, it's been a while since I've seen it. But like at one point, there's like an abortion protester who they don't, they don't portray as horrible.

They don't portray as hateful. It's like a girl, a younger girl, a teenage girl who's at, who's protesting at the abortion clinic and runs into Ellen Page as she walks into the abortion clinic and says, something like, um, do you? you know they have fingernails? It's something like that. I mean, it's a funny movie.

It's supposed to, it's comedy. Yeah. But like, do you know they have fingernails? She's like, what? You know,

they have fingernails? If you're going into her board, like you're boarding something with fingernails. It's something, it's some weird line like that. That is kind of weird. It makes her consider, wait,

what am I doing here? And she winds up, of course, going through this process and having the child. Oh. When she would not have before. Yeah. And it was because of the fingernail line.

The fingernails. I think it was fingernails or eyelashes. It was some weird. something like that and made her think about it differently. And the movie, though, like goes through and takes you through this journey of this teenager who thinks she shouldn't have this kid and winds up making a good decision. I swear the fact that all of us have said it's a pro-life movie all this time is the reason all of this has happened to Ellen Page.

Like, she was a liberal. She didn't mean to make a pro-life movie. And everyone was like, holy crap, this is a pro-life movie. Good job, Ellen Page, from all the people she didn't want to get good job from. and the rest of her life has been compensating for this decision she made, which was actually a really good artistic decision and a really good moral decision. But to her apparently did not play out that way. That's the Dr. Stu analysis.

Another show where she was a she at the time. He was a she at the time. She still is, of course, a she. Yeah, of course. Still has the same chromosomes that she was born with. The central part of what makes you a man or a woman. Also, she's had the surgery on top, but not on the bottom. Oh, really?

I don't even know that. Physically, still a woman. But she's in the Umbrella Academy. Have you ever seen that? Umbrella Academy? I have not seen it. It's actually, I watched the first season. I haven't seen the second or third.

And I think there's three seasons now. But it's a pretty good series. It's, and started out as a woman. and then transitioned, and I think they wrote it into the second season, becomes a man during the show. So they had to explain that. Yeah, it's quite a plot twist. And I don't know if they planned on that.

I'm guessing when you're sketching out the series, you probably don't plan on the actor becoming a different gender. But they, so they had to account for it. That's a real one to account for it. In Succession, Shiv, one of the main characters, got pregnant. and did the last season pregnant. And so they had to figure out how to write. It was noticeable, right?

So you had to kind of address it. And so they did. They wrote that into the plot. That one's a lot easier than the... Than being becoming a man. Yeah, like that's a big thing. And like my understanding of the way the crazies want to treat this stuff is you're almost not supposed to notice, right?

You're just supposed to say that's how it always was. Right? Like, if you were to say Ellen Page started in Juneau, they would say, you know, they would say, you're dead naming this person. Yeah. But in reality, Ellen Page did star in Juno. That's who it was. Right.

Now, you might say the name now is Elliot, but at the time it was Ellen. That was her name. Just like Bruce Jenner was an Olympic athlete. And he's the one that accomplished all of those things. And you're not dead naming Bruce Jenner when you say that Bruce Jenner won gold medals. Right. He did.

Because it was Bruce Jenner. It wasn't Caitlin Jenner who won the medals. you want to change your name later on, then the things you accomplish as that new name can be called that. But like, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, you know, didn't win all those titles with UCLA, right? It was Lou Al-Sinder. Yes. Right? The whole time.

The whole time. Yeah. And that happened when he was in the NBA. That's not a knock on his name or who he is today. It's just true. This is the problem. We're constantly asked not only to look the other way at a lot. falsehood, but to participate in it and celebrate it.

We have a whole month here where we're supposed to be acting as if things that aren't true are true. And then, of course, the other 11 months, you're supposed to do the same thing. Maybe not celebrate it as much. Maybe it's not, maybe it's not as much stuff at the front of target. But you're still supposed to celebrate this stuff and acknowledge it and act as if something that is not true is true. It's frustrating.

Pat and Stu for Glenn on the Glimbeck program. In Reading, Pennsylvania, a man was just arrested for reading a Bible verse. Now, we've heard about that happening in Canada. So you knew Canada was heading down the drain, but I, until now, had not heard of Americans being arrested on the streets. America for reading Bible verses. Now, they're, they're, uh, this guy's across the street from a group of, um, of Pride Month celebrators. And so a police officer approaches this person and asks him to let them have their

moment. Here's, here's what happened. He tells, tells a cop it's public property. He tells us, tell us a public property. cop tells him to let him have their moment let him have their day apparently the police officer disagrees

with him and now he comes over getting this on film and puts him in handcuffs I'm gonna lose you to go there one 208 that night of course The Pride Month celebrators are all happy about the fact that this guy has no freedom of speech on the streets of Pennsylvania in the United States. I'm watching this.

All right. Pushing him around, pushes him up against a... Not resisting at all, by the way. No. No. Right. Has him in Cuffs. Barely taking him down to the station.

God bless you, brother. I'm happy with three coms on this guy. And you hear the celebrating from the Pride Month group. I talked to Dan Andros over at faithwire.com yesterday. And they were one of the people who broke this story. That guy had been there for 60 seconds. 60 seconds? He walked to that spot.

Oh, my gosh. He was there for 60 seconds before his arrest. And he didn't do. I mean, he had a sign. Gosh. He had a sign. and he recited a Bible verse. I think he shouted it.

Yep. 60 seconds. All of a sudden the cop just is done with him and arrests him. I mean, that is... It's inconceivable in the United States of America. It's just not America anymore. It's just not. You got to know more about the law than that if you're a police officer.

You've got to know a little bit more about your constitutional right. I back cops, you know, almost all the time. Whenever, you know, like I think they have an impossible job. especially now with the way that they're treated, I think it's really important to put in perspective how difficult their job is. But like a guy reading a Bible verse, I mean, it's like 19 different intersections of the First Amendment. Yeah. It's like every, it's not only just protest. It's also protesting while reciting a Bible verse.

Like this is so clearly a violation of this guy's rights to be arrested in that situation. It's really despicable. As it would be, by the way, if they were protesting, if the group was a bunch of people who were, you know, reciting the Bible, and there was a LGBTQ protester holding a sign and saying they disagreed. They would also have a right in this country. Yeah. Like, that's just the way this is. It's right. It's the way the country is.

If you don't like it, I understand that. But, you know, there's plenty of places that will restrict your speech. North Korea comes to mind. You can't say anything. Go check that out. It's cool. You'll love it. One real real.

tall pyramid right in the center of town. It looks incredible. China will do it for you. You know, they will make sure that you don't say the things you're not supposed to say. This country was built on the right, on the foundation that you can, though. I mean, that is, it's really, really important here. And the, like, I can understand, you know, that you think there's going to be some, some incident. If he had shown some violent intent, there's a lot of things you could make it understand that you'd have a justification to separate the guy, and de-escalate a situation. None of that was going on.

None of it. The guy came up, he read a Bible verse in one minute and was arrested. It's incredible that that can happen in this country. Outrageous. And the cop said to him, let them have their day. Respect it. No. The guy responds, you know who's cheering for this?

For us, the people that are in hell. So you do you, and I'm going to do me, this is public property. And then the cop arrested him. Incredible. Wow. Look, you don't have to say. celebrate this stuff. You don't have to. No, you don't. You know, you can't,

no one can make you say something. That's an important part of free speech. You can't be forced to say something that you don't want to say. That is being reversed here on, you know, by the day in this country. And we need to fight back against it. We have to. No question. Triple-eight-727-B-E-C-K.

A lot of people have wondered, you know, what did Leah Thomas's teammates think about Leah Thomas because we hear about Riley Gaines just competed against Leah, I think in one tournament at the NCAA championships. And Riley Gaines, of course, we know what she thinks about men competing against women. But what did the teammates of Leah Thomas think? Well, one has finally come forward. And I guess she was also included in the movie that Matt Walsh did, but what is a woman, but was disguised. and now has decided, no, I'm going to be open about it.

I'm coming out and I'm going to speak about it. And I'm going to let everybody know who I am. So Paula Scanlan, who is listed as a senior on University of Pennsylvania's Athletics Women's Swimming Team and Diving Roster. Swam with Leah Thomas, as well as fellow swimmer turned activist Riley Gaines. Of course,

is a male athlete who joined the women's swim team in 2021 after he began hormone replacement therapy in May 2019. Now, she says that the team was gathered together and Leah Thomas spoke to him and said, hey, look, I'm going to be my true self. My true self is a woman. And so I'll be competing with you as a woman beginning next year. year. I think she had to sit out for a year according to NCAA rules. So she sat out for a year and then in 2021 started competing as a woman, even though, of course, had all the male

equipment and was actually a man. Now, Scanlon was not excited about it. One of the girls was very upset, Scanlon said. She went crying to the athletic department. I don't know what they said to her, but she was then complete, after going to the athletic department, she was completely on board and thought Leah swimming was this magical, beautiful thing. Is there something wrong with me for thinking this was wrong? It worked. The university wanted us to be quiet, and they did it in a very effective way. And so when this swimmer went to the athletic department and said,

this is not right. This is not fair. This is a man swimming as a woman. And apparently was completely turned around on the deal. Yeah. And then supported Leah Thomas completely. I mean, can you imagine being, you know, a woman in college and you're in a locker room getting dressed? And you just hear that the man's voice, right?

Just that would make you jump up and, you know, wonder what's going on, you know? And now then you realize what's going on. it's actually worse than maybe the alternative. Someone walked into the wrong room. No, no. This guy's supposed to be there. His name is just Leah now. And it does feel like too, like part of this,

at the very least, should be that you're committing to the bit, right? Like if you're going to be, if you're going to go from man to a woman, you go through with the surgery, there's a level of commitment that, like, indicates this is at least something you're taking very seriously, you know? at least you've gone through a real a lot of trouble and you know you're not going to get the because I think you will start to get the people who just want to go to the other side of the and I think this is more common in like prison for example we'll have people who are just guys who want to be guys who are fine being guys but no they can manipulate the system to get in with the women in the women's prison for multiple reasons one they probably like being in prison with women because they are attracted to women and all that stuff that could go on there. But in addition, also, you're probably going to get a beat up a lot less.

Right. You know, like it's probably a safer environment at some level. So people, I think, will manipulate those things. And it has already resulted in women being assaulted. Yeah, there have been rapes. Rapes and all sorts of terrible things that have happened to women in these persons. Women have been impregnated. Yeah.

Of course. Of course. Obviously. It's, again, we keep saying. these things as if we have to say them. Obviously everyone knows that's going to be a result of that situation. Now, you might get some people who say, you know, there's been people online who've done things like, I'm identifying as a woman and therefore I have just broken the weightlifting records for women. And, you know, people see that more of as a joke or as a commentary on the

situation or just an attempt that people will choose to ignore as if they didn't just say, the only thing you have to do is identify yourself that way and you become that. They all say that until something inconvenient goes on. Like, for example, a transgender person shoots up a school. Then all of a sudden the trans thing's not a big deal. And that person wasn't really trans. But like you look at this and I think if you look, if you go through the surgery, you've at least committed to the bit.

You're at least to the point where you could say, okay, well, this person's serious about this. Yeah, you're not trying to scam the surgery. scam the system. Right. If you've gone to the trouble of the surgery, you're not scamming anybody. It doesn't make you a woman, and it doesn't make it okay that you're competing against women and women's sports. But it does eliminate the riffraff, right?

It shows. Yeah. It shows a commitment level. You're all in. Yeah. You know, no one is cutting their stuff off to win a women's swimming medal in the NCAA tournament. You wouldn't think so. No.

That says too much. It's also not as threatening. to the women you're sharing the locker room with. Sure. If you don't have the noodle, then they're not seeing it dangling. If you're noodle free, it's less likely a problem could occur, I would agree. That does not mean that women should have to accept people that have done this in their locker rooms or in their bathrooms or in their swimming lanes. But I will say, that line would at least eliminate people who are intentionally manipulating the system.

you know like if you did it with the bathroom rule right where you said okay uh you can go into a women's bathroom if you've gone through fully with the surgery then at least you again no one is going through the surgery to get into a women's target bathroom like that's a lot of commitment to get into a women's bathroom yeah and you're kind of defeating the purpose right right so like okay but they won't let you even ask if the surgery has happened right you don't have to there's no line there is no line you just have to say it's gone on you don't even have to to say the surgeries happen. You just have to say, I am now a woman or I am now a man. And you've magically changed. It's like saying Beetlejuice three times. Things just go on.

Yeah. You know, and like there are no, abracadabra isn't real. The magic words aren't real. And it's incomprehensible to me that people on the left don't care what the women think about this. They don't care how they feel about it. They don't care if they're comfortable or not. They don't care. And when they're told, and some of them did approach officials and say, look, we're really not comfortable with this guy with his noodle hanging out while we're naked in the locker room. He's looking at us. We have to see him. We don't want to.

And they were offered therapy. So if you're not comfortable. with a man and his unit hanging out in your locker room. Well, obviously there's something wrong with you. When did that start? I was talking to someone. It's interesting because it's really hard for them to defend their position on this.

And I think this is one of the reasons why conservatives have talked about it as much as they have. You know, Matt Walsh, we mentioned his movie earlier. You know, what is a woman is such a great fundamental question? Because if you act so often. They will say women's rights are important that women need to be treated equally. And yet they can't even say what a woman is.

And if you can't define what a woman is, fundamentally all of these questions are insane. If I were to say, you know, squibble squabbles need to be created equally, you would correctly ask me, what is a squibble squabble? And since I couldn't answer it, you would ignore me. Right? You can't answer the question? What's a squibble squabble? I just said if I couldn't answer the question. I absolutely can.

And that's a whole other show for another day. But like, you know, squibble squabble isn't a thing. Huh. And therefore, it doesn't mean anything. The sentence is meaningless. Well, if you can't tell me what a woman is, it's just as meaningless as a squibble squabble. And I got to be honest with you, it's a really good observation that they can't, they can't even answer that basic. Yeah. And you're talking about doctors, physicians, therapists. I mean, when you watch the movie, none of those people, none of those people can answer what the, it's such an easy question to answer. Supreme Court justices can't answer it, Pat. No, I mean, these are very basic. You don't need to be a biologist. And again, now the left is pissed off. The only thing they've ever been pissed off against, I was going to say Corinne Jean-Pierre, the Supreme Court Justice, which is her names.

escaping me right now, the newest one. Kataji, Brown Jackson, thank you. Kataji Brown Jackson, the only thing they don't like about her is that she said the biologist thing, because that indicates that a biologist could tell. Think of the insanity. We all know what a woman is.

We all know. We know the chromosomes are at play. We know the genitals are at play. You know, the ovaries, the womb, there's things there that differentiate the man and the woman. That's how you know. That's it. and they're like, well, it's actually

sex is the biological and then gender is more of a feeling. No. My favorite, because we used to talk about this on patents too, I remember back in the day. Ellen DeGeneres, again, a very prominent LGBT activist. I don't know if she's a T activist or not. I think she is and she was asked like about this

and she said, you know, like, sex is one thing, but like, you know, what gender you are is really more of a feeling. And it's like, well, all right, like, let's accept that for a second. Let's just say essentially gender is this new word that they made up that means something different, right? It's not what you are.

It's what you feel like. And I, okay, I can kind of accept that in a way. Like, I just don't care what you feel like. Like, that's something for you to deal with. Yeah. I got enough crap going on in my life. Except your feeling is my definition for what a woman is. Like a woman or a man, what we need to know that information for?

Demographic research, you know, medical treatment. Like, I don't care what your feelings are. Sports. How are we dividing people to play at sports? We have an equal playing field. We do it by gender. We do it by sex. If you want to say gender is which one you feel like, well, I don't care about that at all.

You can feel all sorts of it. Do you feel happy or sad? that's kind of on you. I don't adjust all of the rules of my society for you being happy or sad. And like, look, a lot of people have more masculine leanings if they're a female. If you're a female, you have masculine leanings. What you are is a female. Yes, you're maybe different than other females.

They're not all the same. There are people who act differently. not all men are the same. Some people like Broadway, some people like MMA. They're different. That doesn't mean some of them are men and some of them aren't.

It's just fundamentally, you're a man. You can have, there's a bright rainbow of colors within that definition. People are different. I mean, look, you try to talk to Glenn about the NBA. Yeah. Try to talk to Glenn about the NFL.

Good luck. He can school me on chitty, chitty, bang bang all day long. Because that he knows. But he's also a man, even though sometimes he doesn't always act like a man. He's a man. You're a man. I'm a man.

That's the thing. It's okay. There's a bunch of different definitions. Different types of people in there. That's what makes it the world interesting. It doesn't mean you've changed your gender. Your feelings are unimportant in this particular situation. Triple 8-727 back.
