Starting point is 00:00:00 When you were little, you had braced some of course of recrace, always in trying to negotiate and do make these exchanges. The appellee-negot-titre TD you can't renew with this instinct with without operation gratuite,

Legal titles to your homes are kept online where they can be hacked. A cyber thief finds your home's title, forges your signature on a deed, and then say, oh, well, they sold
Starting point is 00:00:41 their home. I have it now, and I'm going to borrow against that equity. Your equity is your financial future for so many Americans. It's your retirement plan. It's kind of, it's probably how you're going to pay for everything, you're going to be borrowing against that equity for years to come. You're not protected by insurance for this. Your bank, your common identity, theft programs. Home title lock isn't a common identity theft program. It does something different. It protects you against home title fraud. And in the unlikely event, you become a victim, well, you know, look, it's becoming more and more likely that you might become a victim. And you want to be protected because you're talking about a quarter of a million dollars legal fees to try to restore
Starting point is 00:01:18 your home's title. And that goes on top of what you're losing from your equity. Hometitleck.com. Home titlelock.com. Register your address. See if you're already a victim. This is the Glenn Beck program. Well, guess what you're getting here is talking this year? Yeah, yeah. Your timeshare maintenance fee. How great is that, huh?
Starting point is 00:02:34 Time shares. Oh, it sounded good, right? When you were offered a free Mai Tai, it was so great. But boy, don't you wish you would have, you know, eaten your arm, you know, instead of signing anything with that arm. Right now, this is just tying you up. You're not able to use it most likely this last year, maybe not this year. Get out of your timeshare.

Because it is the Christmas season, I'm going to call him by his full name, Rudolph Giuliani, is with us now. Hey, Rudy, how are you? I'm good, Glenn. How are you? I'm, I could be better. We could not have, we could have, you know,
Starting point is 00:04:05 Donald Trump serving another, another term. Real quick, I want to touch on this. Will you guys, are you continuing the investigation? Yes, we are. There's no reason to stop it. I mean, there's so much to investigate. So now what we're doing is we're, We're going to forensically examine the machines that took all this time to get them available to us because all these secretaries of state are playing cover-up. But we're going to start examining the machines in Arizona in Maricopa County to see how similar they are to the machines in Michigan that turned out to be 62% inaccurate. I'd like you to note that the hearing yesterday, Krebs, Mr. Krebs said,
Starting point is 00:04:50 Oh, he read that report, and, you know, 62% clerical inaccuracies. I mean, you know, so what? That means more of the vote was wrong than right. Yeah, I know. I know. And I read the report, and I read his testimony, too. He acted like he said it was nonsense. I couldn't even understand the report.
Starting point is 00:05:11 I read the report. It's easy to understand. It's very easy to understand. The machine is like a computer. You can change any time you want. Yeah. It's not a counting machine. It's a calculating machine.
Starting point is 00:05:23 So is there a possibility of a special counsel or anything that can't be stopped? There is a possibility of that. And I think that once we get these preliminary results from Arizona, we can see whether one is justified. I also think there's a chance that if we could uncover 10,000 votes that would change in Arizona, the Arizona legislature might just take this into their own hands. The people of Arizona actually almost had a popular rebellion. State legislature was about to put this aside, and they started demonstrations about 10 days ago,
Starting point is 00:06:00 all throughout Arizona, because they claim they know their election was stolen. Now, think of why they know their election was stolen. He lost by 10,000 votes. How many illegal immigrants did they think voted in Arizona? I know. 100,000? 200,000?
Starting point is 00:06:17 Of course it's stolen. So, 7,000 dead people voted. That's pretty close to stealing it right there. Rudy, we have a real problem if we don't trust the process. If we lose trust in this vote, we have nothing left. It is vital that you and others continue to find the facts. And when you have a buttoned up, when you have a Hunter Biden computer, you've got to release it and it's got to be, this has to stop.
Starting point is 00:06:53 Are you convinced it all that we can trust the vote in Georgia? No, it's the same machine. Yeah. They haven't changed it one bit, the same illegal rules. They're already saying that there's more turnout now in Georgia than there was for the general election. Well, there's no reason to believe that it'll be an honest vote. The machines are not secure. machines. They don't have
Starting point is 00:07:19 signature verification. Donald Trump. Anybody can sign anything anything they want. And Donald Trump has been saying you've got to go out and vote. I want to switch because I know you are short on time. Let me go to Bill Barr and Durham,
Starting point is 00:07:35 the special counsel. I mean, I'm really disappointed in Bill Barr. I know everybody loves him, but I'm very disappointed in him. There can't be anyone who had more respect. and more trust and Bill Barr than I did. I don't know what happened.
Starting point is 00:07:51 I really almost can't answer for it. It's totally inexplicable to me, particularly since the Hunter Biden allegations. Yeah. Joe Biden allegations are two years old, Glenn. I know, I know. Two years old. They're not, is it new?
Starting point is 00:08:06 And he knew it, and he wouldn't verify. And he hid behind, well, we just don't do that. No, no. That's, am I wrong, Rudy? Of course you're right. I tried to make that point. He could have first done this 18 months ago. Right.
Starting point is 00:08:21 Well before the election. I tried to argue to anybody I could. It's better to do it now than wait until after the election. Let's do it now. Let's get it over with. Maybe it's true. Maybe it's not true. If it's true, he can't run.
Starting point is 00:08:37 He's got to go to jail. If it's not true, well, then he was wronged, and he'll probably win. I think conservatives are missing the point on this. all saying, oh, look, the press is admitting it now. No, they're not. They're saying this is a tax scandal. This is a money laundering scandal. It is also on the same emails that are being, you know, touted as true now by the mainstream media.
Starting point is 00:09:04 They leave out the big guy. They leave out the, my dad needs a key to the office. All of that stuff. This implicates... They also leave out the one they used to hate me for putting on television. They actually kept me off television. for a long time because of this one text. Hunter texts his father, or his daughter,
Starting point is 00:09:23 I had to always kick back half to pop for 30 years. Right. That's the whole conspiracy, 30 years of kicking back to a pop. So will there be a special counsel? Can the president appoint a special counsel and will he before he leaves office? Well, this is my advice as a citizen. I can't tell you my advice as a lawyer. But my advice as a citizen is we need to have a special counsel.
Starting point is 00:09:49 We have to get to the bottom of this. And make no mistake about it. The target of the investigation is Joe Biden. Hunter is a small player in this. Hunter is like, you know, one of the soldiers in the mafia. Joe's like the head of the family. And there's plenty of evidence against Joe. You can't, one of the reasons they don't want to really open up the investigation.
Starting point is 00:10:13 If you open up the investigation, Immediately, Joe goes to the top of the list of people that have to be considered for indictment. Right. Immediately. No, no, no, no, no, competent investigator, prosecutor wouldn't do a chart here. It's a family case, gone on for 30 years. I'll tell you who's on the top of that chart. And there's evidence he's been getting money for 30 years.
Starting point is 00:10:36 Yeah. All right. Let's talk about pardons for a second. and I know we've got to cut you loose here, but please tell the president he should pardon his family. And I know it doesn't cover, you know, state things, but they are going to kill that family any way they possibly can until he says, I'm never going to run again. And I hope he just keeps stirring it up when he gets out. he should also look into pardoning little Wayne, Lil Wayne,
Starting point is 00:11:14 for his support for Donald Trump. He's now getting trouble. Oh, my. Well, I'm sure he's looking at this very, very carefully. And that's something I really can't talk about. But the president has a big heart. The president knows what, nobody knows better what happened than the president of the president. I know.
Starting point is 00:11:35 Nobody knows the whole magnitude of this obstruction. of our government. This could be the worst thing that's ever happened internally in our government. Oh, I think it is. I think it is. The Civil War, the Civil War was out front. You know, we had a war. It's internal trying to, been going on for a long time, Glenn. This has been planned for a long time, much longer than people think. Rudy, keep fighting. And please, please, please, you two, and please tell the president how grateful we are And we've never seen anybody take bullets like him before in our name.
Starting point is 00:12:14 And we appreciate it. Thank you, Glenn. You bet. Merry Christmas. Yeah, Merry Christmas to you. Rudolph Giuliani, former mayor of New York City and a host of Common Sense. That's a podcast. And, of course, the attorney for President Donald Trump.
Starting point is 00:12:31 All right, let me take a one-minute break and then we come back and cover some of the other crazy news today. We'll do that in a second. And first, let me tell you about American financing. If there's one thing that Americans are used to, it's standing on the precipice of change. Sometimes it's good, sometimes not so good. Now, I just heard that it looks like the Fed is going to keep interest rates down. They might even go lower. I can't wait until they start paying us to take out loans.
Starting point is 00:13:05 Won't that be nice? Except here's my prediction. You won't be able to get a loan. You won't be able to do it. But the banks will be able to do it. So the banks will be able to borrow money from the Fed and they'll make lots of money. Oh, wouldn't that be great? Do yourself a favor.
Starting point is 00:13:27 Give American financing a call today. Don't wait. You don't want to put this off. See if they can't help you take your level of preparedness to the next level by getting into a new mortgage or a consolidation loan without resetting your mortgage. It's American Financing at 800906 2440, 8009062440 or go to Americanfinancing.compancing. American financing NMLS-182334 www. www. NMLS Consumer Access.com. 10 seconds station ID.
Starting point is 00:14:18 I'm glad. How are you? Oh, my. Are you kidding? Are you... What? How deeply are you in the Christmas spirit right now? Oh my. Enthralled completely? Oh, my gosh. Yes.
Starting point is 00:14:32 I've got, I've got bells on my feet. That's good to hear. I didn't hear them. Well, I don't do a lot of walking nowadays. No. No. No.
Starting point is 00:14:43 Yeah. It's tough. It's with all the stuff going on. It's a tough year. But I think people are desperate to kind of jump into the holidays a little bit. Yeah. But it's kind of tough. to deal with it.
Starting point is 00:14:55 We had Nicole Arbor in yesterday. Tonight on Blaze TV, about an hour, an hour and a half interview with her. She is fascinating. She is, I swear to you, she's like a lost sister.
Starting point is 00:15:12 She said so many things, even on the air yesterday, just, you know, in 10 minutes, we've never met before. And honestly, my producers asked her,
Starting point is 00:15:24 Honestly, without even me knowing it, who prepped you? Who told you? Did you, were you told about Glenn, about X, Y, and Z? She was talking about Martin Luther King and how if anybody resorts to violence, we lose. I've never heard anybody else really talk about that. In the same way that she talked about it is this way I talk about it. She came out and she's like, I am a huge fan of Walt Disney. I asked her, who are your comedic, who your comedic heroes?
Starting point is 00:15:57 Because she's a comedian. Lucille Ball and really Desi Arnaz. Desi really didn't get credit for it. And I'm like, come on. You're a, you're a freak just like me. The Glenn Beck Show Bible. Yeah. Somehow she came across.
Starting point is 00:16:13 Yeah. And she is, you know, she's going to talk about on this podcast. I recorded it yesterday with her. She talks about her. struggle. You know, she was hit by a car. She was getting out of a car and she was kind of twisting. She had one foot in the car, one on the ground and somebody rear-ended the car. So she came down. She kind of snapped her back, banged her head really hard. For 10 years, she was in bed, in bed for 10 years. Doctor said she'd never walk again. She would be on, you know, convales,
Starting point is 00:16:52 care for the rest of her life. Some of that sounds bad, but 10 years in bed sounds interesting. I'm kind of willing to sign on to it. Yeah. I'm willing to sign on to a couple of years just to check it out. Yeah. Just to do my research. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:05 You know. But she's fascinating. She said, I was suicidal. I was ready to off myself. She said, I had the plan. I was going to do it that day. And she said, and I swear to you, I heard the voice of God. and she said he strangely sounded like Denzel Washington.
Starting point is 00:17:26 So I don't know. I don't know. Maybe, I mean, I'm Morgan Freeman, I could buy. Even strangely in 2020, if God sounded like William Shatner. Okay. Yeah, probably. Probably. But she said he sounds like Denzel Washington to her.
Starting point is 00:17:45 And he said, not time to give up. It's time to get up. get up and walk. And she's like, I can't really walk. But she was so motivated by it. She started really listening to spiritual leaders and religious leaders. She's listening to, you know, Christian podcasts every day. She cut out all negative stuff.
Starting point is 00:18:12 Yeah, she was, she was uncomfortably positive a few times. Yeah, I told her, I said Mary Poppins would just beat the snot out of you. you know, Mary would be get up one morning and like, okay, cheerleader, I can't take it anymore. But she's the most positive person. And she said one of the biggest changes in her life came from not watching crap. She said, I don't watch anything that's real negative. I'm like, I feel the same way except with positive inserted instead of negative. It's true.
Starting point is 00:18:52 I don't watch enough. I was, I was, I was in, I don't know, this is a while ago now, but it was like a park. And there was someone who was like jogging in the park. And, you know, and there was like a short little path around. And every time she passed, she had the biggest smile on her face. Now, first of all, you're running. So like, that's hell. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:13 You're basically torturing yourself for no reason. You're, you should be in an asylum if you're smiling while you're running. And we kept joking about how every time she would pass by, this gigantic, she was listening to something funny. And something, this gigantic smile was on her face the whole time. And I was like, it was one of those moments you wanted to say, like, I'll have what she's having. Like, I wanted to know. Yeah. You know, I think that is true.
Starting point is 00:19:36 You can get yourself sucked into like really dark programming. Like, I love shows like Breaking Bad and Ozarks. I love that. I love them. But you can get overwhelmed by it if you watch too much of it. You really do need to like balance your diet on that stuff. Can I ask you what's not like that? I'll have to get back to you on that one.
Starting point is 00:19:55 Yeah, I mean, honestly, what's not like that? I mean, I understand Christian programming and, you know, old Disney films. But really, what's out there that is happy? That's not like, this is the best murder show I've ever seen. I did. I do watch a lot. You get into one of those true crime documentary series. And like, it's so enthralling.
Starting point is 00:20:21 And then you realize you've just been, you've just gone through, you know, hours and hours and hours of thinking about murder. Right. Like right now, I'm reading Hitler Downfall, which is the, there's a two-part, you know, long biography series by, oh, gosh, a German author. And it is a, God, is it? So it's a biography? It's a new one. Yeah. Like, you know, they have about every eight to ten years, you get a new, like,
Starting point is 00:20:49 this is now the, this is now the biography everyone talks about with about Hitler. And so, um, 2016, I think it was the, the, the first one, Hitler, um, Hitler, um, Hitler assent came out. And now I guess it was Hitler downfall. They're really, really, really, really, a thousand pages each. So it takes you a long time. But then you're spending a thousand pages reading Hitler on Adolf freaking Hitler. I need some time off. Can we turn on the Ozark? It's like, it's like you're, yeah, I know. It's bad. It's probably not healthy.
Starting point is 00:21:23 She's probably making the right decision by... No, I could pretty much guarantee she's making the right decision. Yeah, you're probably right. You know, I mean, you know, the old line that I've often quoted, that which you gaze upon, you become. And it is, I mean, I'm not going to become Hitler by reading the book about Hitler. I've come out... I don't know.
Starting point is 00:21:45 White nationalist. You know, reading about Hitler in this sort of detail. really convinced he's a bad guy. You know, really? Really, because I didn't need to go deeper on that one. I pretty much had that. I pretty much had that. Volker Ulrich is the author.
Starting point is 00:22:00 I would definitely recommend it. I mean, it is really, really good, and you get a real deep understanding. And you see a lot of the patterns that we warn about, you can see how you go down these roads. And then you get into that, and you're like, crap, I keep, now I'm thinking about that all the time. And it's not a, I really should stop reading it, is what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:22:18 It's not a happy place. We were talking about, what was that diary that I read? Was it surviving Hitler or something like that? Written in the 1930s. Have you read that yet? I haven't read it. No. Still, you have to read it.
Starting point is 00:22:30 I know. I read it a year and a half two years ago and every page I'd read, I'd be like, oh my gosh, that's happening right now. I can't even imagine. I'm going to reread it. Yeah, surviving Hitler, a boy in the Nazi death camps. No, that's not it. That's not it.
Starting point is 00:22:46 No. I'll have to look it up. I'll tell you after the break. Okay. But it's really good. And I'm also reading V2 or V1 about the rockets. But it's... Oh, really?
Starting point is 00:23:00 Oh, it's really good. It's a novel, but it's really, really good. Anyway, okay, I think enough Nazi talk for today. Something positive. We have Franklin Graham joining us next. This is the Glenn Beck program. All right. Well, that took us to an unexpected place. There's an awful lot of bad stuff that is out there, obviously.
Starting point is 00:23:25 And you don't need to put this on your plate as well. When it comes to your identity, this could ruin your credit, put a huge stain on your financial credibility. It could take years and years to fix. I mean, somebody could have used your identity to vote for Joe Biden. Your identity will never recover from that. When it comes to protecting your identity, what you really need is LifeLock. They will detect a wide range of identity threats. I mean, nobody can monitor everything.
Starting point is 00:23:57 But they monitor things, you know, like your Social Security number for sale on the dark web. If they detect that your information is being used in the network, they will send you an alert and work with you to fix it. LifeLock. Save up to 25% now off your first year at LifeLock.com. That's lifelock.com promo code back or 1-800 life lock, 1-800 life lock or lifelock.com promo code back. And head on over to blazTV.com slash glen. The promo code is Glenn. Save 10 bucks.
Starting point is 00:24:34 What a great gift for the holidays. Blaze TV. Hey, today's going to be a very positive show. I'm going to try. Because I just, I'm done with it all. I mean, I just can't take any more of just live in that doom and gloom all the time. We've been in it now forever. And can we just have a couple of weeks where we just talk about good things?
Starting point is 00:25:07 Because there's a lot of good things going on. Do you hear about the guy down in Florida? He's not a rich guy. He just put out $7,000 and paid for anybody who, was behind on their electric or gas bills in his neighborhood. He does it every year, apparently. He saves up all year, and he does it every year for anybody who's behind because he was in that situation when he was younger and had a young family, and he said, we had almost
Starting point is 00:25:47 frost inside the house because it couldn't afford food and heat. So now he does it every year. And I just think that's great. And if I knew where he lived, I would move into his neighborhood so I could skip like six months of paying my bills every year. Anyway, Franklin Graham is with us. And everybody knows who Franklin Graham is. Samaritan's purse is really an amazing charity. We do a lot of work with Franklin's organizations.
Starting point is 00:26:23 uh... he's got operation christmas child going on now how many years is operation christmas child been in operation uh... glen twenty seven years twenty seven years and did you start that uh... it was started by man in england who wanted my help during the war in bosnia if i would be willing to collect some shoeboxes here and we would give them to children in refugee camps and we did that for two years and the guy in england said uh... he didn't want to do it anymore and I thought,
Starting point is 00:26:54 you know, this is a good thing. We're going to keep knowing and see what happens. And here we are, you know, 27 years down the road and almost 200 million boxes. And you are, this is the largest Christmas project of its kind in the world. It is. I mean, I don't know of anything. There may be other programs that may be there,
Starting point is 00:27:13 but I don't know of them. Yeah. This is just huge. So, something God has done, Glenn. Tell me about it. Well, it's just, you know, people, asked me, you know, how did you come up
Starting point is 00:27:24 this idea and all this kind of stuff? I didn't. It's just God. God has taken that simple idea of taking a shoe box and given it to a child, and he has multiplied it like the fishes and loaves. It's incredible. People get excited about it. Churches do it. Individuals do it.
Starting point is 00:27:42 Businesses do it. And we want every child that we give this box to, we want them to know that God loves them. And that Christmas is about God's love. The Bible says that God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believed in him should perish but should have ever lasted in life. God so loved the world.
Starting point is 00:28:03 He loved us, and he sent his son, Jesus Christ, to take our sins. And I want the world to know, I want the children of the world to know, how much God loves them and how much they mean to him and how precious they are to him. And so we ask everybody who packs a box, pray for the child who gets the box. I don't know who's going to get your box, but God does. And this year we'll collect somewhere around 10 million boxes. And having 10 million people pray for 10 million children's. I mean, you know God's going to hear those prayers and do something fantastic.
Starting point is 00:28:36 So you can do this and you can participate just by going to samaritans purse. Dot org, Samaritanspurse.org. And you can pack a shoebox virtually, and it's hygiene stuff. It's a toy. What else can you put in these things? Well, what we put to, we put toys, we have some school supplies. You'd be surprised if kids don't even have pencils or pen. Something like put a comb, a toothbrush.
Starting point is 00:29:06 You'd be surprised at how many children have to share a toothbrush of somebody, and you give them their own toothbrush. Now excited they are just to get a toothbrush. But, you know, it's a wool hat, some gloves, sunglasses, that is a huge thing, a flashlight. Most kids in the world, and when the sun goes down, they're in the dark. And to give them a flashlight is huge.
Starting point is 00:29:29 You know, it's amazing. I was just talking to somebody yesterday, Franklin, and I said, if you asked anybody, anybody of any age, when, if you could choose, when and where would you be born? And unless it's in the future sometime, which I don't know if I would choose that, everyone would say today in the Western world, you know, America.
Starting point is 00:29:59 And yet we are tearing ourselves apart. We're whining about everything. We are saying it's not good enough. And yet when you go overseas, and I know this to be true, when you go overseas and you give a child or even an adult something very small, that you probably just throw away and you don't think twice about it. It's a very big deal. It's a huge deal, and we're very rich in this country, even the poor of our nation,
Starting point is 00:30:35 are rich compared to more in other countries. And so we are influenced so much by what people watch on television or in the movies, and that has a big impact on us and our lives. But in spite of all of that, there's some good things out there. I know. We have some wonderful people. One of the things we do is we send about 800 doctors and nurses every year to go work in missionary hospitals around the world. These are volunteers.
Starting point is 00:31:08 They pay their own expenses. And they go to some of the toughest parts of the world just to give. And it just thrills my heart when I see these people go. I've got a team I was meeting with just yesterday. And they're on their way to Yemen to work. work for Samaritan's person. And sharp young men and women, I thought, you know, it's this country, there's hope when you see, you know, young people like this willing to go out and sacrifice and give their best to help other people. So I'm encouraged, Glenn, you know, when we go
Starting point is 00:31:40 through the election like we just had, you know, people have asked me if I'm disappointed in the result of the elections. No, you know what my answer is? I'm grateful. I'm grateful to God that for the last four years, we've had a president who put America first. I'm grateful, and I thank God for that. I'm grateful that he appointed conservative judges. I'm grateful to God that he's supported life. We have never had a pro-life president like Donald Trump. And so I'm just grateful for what's happened these last four years, and that God would put maybe some good men and women around him that would help him, and he would do some great things for our nation. No question is trouble. We're divided politically, morally, spiritually. We're just a divided nation. And only God
Starting point is 00:32:35 can bring us back together. And my hope is not the Oval Office. My hope is in God. Yeah. I will tell you that, you know, I was against Donald Trump in 16. I just didn't believe that he would do any of the things that he said he would do. He ended up doing more, and I became a big fan of his. And, you know, I've been overwhelmed in the last few days of, and I don't know if people, you know, uh, understand this. But because I was against him and,
Starting point is 00:33:03 and it bothered me when said, when people said, no, he's going to be on God's side. I'm like how, how? How? And yet God is the best at making lemonade out of lemons.
Starting point is 00:33:17 Any kind of anything, anything flawed, he can still use. And he used Donald Trump. I think in big, big. ways and I didn't see it so I don't know what's going to happen in the next four years but I do know that it's all going to work for God God has a plan and
Starting point is 00:33:40 when you when you read the scriptures and when you read the book of Revelation the things that are going to take place in the future many people believe that those things will happen probably of sooner than we think yeah and the Bible predicts that there's going to be a one-world system a one-world system a one world monetary system, a one world government. And we know right now that there are globalists, that's what they call themselves. Yeah. And that's really what they want. They want a one-world
Starting point is 00:34:08 system. And they want a one-world electronic type of currency. And the technology is here today, Glenn. You know that. I know. I know. And it could happen. And so it's kind of exciting. You talk about, you know, what period of history would you like to live in? Well, today, no question about it because we're seeing, I believe, prophecy being unfolded before our eyes. I agree. I'm excited and when you're the scripture wins.
Starting point is 00:34:36 Yeah. It's not the Democrats or Republicans. It's God. I mean, he wins and he puts his son on the throne. I don't know if this makes me a pessimist or an optimist, but this summer I prayed an awful lot about what do we do and where are we? And I really feel as though there's a good chance that we are living in those days that have been prophesized for a long time. I don't know when, but it actually made me feel better because I was like, oh, God's got this.
Starting point is 00:35:09 He's going to solve this. And I don't know if that's going to happen in my lifetime or whenever, but looking at it, in looking at our problems, trying to look at it through his comforting eyes, it actually works. Yes, it does. And this is an exciting period of history, Glenn. ourselves, what should we be doing? Well, Jesus told his disciples to go into all nations and to make disciples and to baptize them in his name. And, you know, that's what I want my life to be about.
Starting point is 00:35:45 I want to tell others about a God that loves them and his son, a Savior, Jesus Christ, who came from heaven of this earth, to take our sins. I want the whole world to know that. And I know that there are many people that are angry and mad and discouraged. well, listen, just take a deep breath and realize God made you and created you, and he's got a plan and a purpose for your life, and you need to find out what it is. And if you confess your sins and return from them, repentance, Christ, you can be assured that you'll be saved, and your sins will be forgiven, and that your soul will be in the presence. Franklin, I want to thank you and wish you the best of Christmases in this season. as you know, you, your father, your sisters have played a big role in my life, whether you know that or not.
Starting point is 00:36:45 But I'm grateful. There have been some very important moments in my life that are connected to your family. And thank you for who you are and what you do. God bless you. God bless you. Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas. You go to samaridanspurse.org and help out samaridansperse.org.

Starting point is 00:39:54 You know Trevor. You remember Trevor? Been a while. Yeah, it's been a while. It's been since, you know, Obama left office. Yeah, that's right. That's when he, yeah. Yeah. Because we haven't had like people like Anita Dunn running around going. You know, Mao was my favorite. I remember that. And the smacking of the lips, I do remember as well. Yeah, it's like, have a glass of water, woman.
Starting point is 00:40:16 But there is a new document that he has uncovered that is demanding that Biden clamp down on conservative Christians. And we're talking about you must destroy them and re-educate the country. and when you look at the authors and the people behind this, they're all from Congress. They're all members of Congress. Is it a real document? No, I made it up. It's not your reporting.
Starting point is 00:40:56 No, I know. It's a real document. I'll give you the original source. We're going to post it at glenbeck.com here in a few minutes. We'll post the original document, not the story about it, the actual original document. So you can read, and you can read about the group that all these congressmen are in, and some of them are founding members of.
Starting point is 00:41:15 And it is, you want to talk about a war on Christmas. No, this is just an out-and-out war on Christ. And it is where we're heading, including Warnock in Georgia. He has just said, we have to quote, We have to dismantle the value system. Hey, everybody knows PayPal, but did you know that they were teaming up with honey to save you money? Starting point is 00:42:38 This is the Glythek program. Hey, I want to welcome a new sponsor to Blaze TV. The world in 2020 can feel unstable and dangerous. You can live in fear. You can get yourself a gun. Maybe you live in a place that you can't get a gun. Maybe you live in a place where you're just not comfortable with a gun, whatever it is. Taser has created life. saving self-defense technology. Taser. Its line of non-lethal self-protection devices are small, lightweight.
Starting point is 00:43:11 They can carry them around. You know, your pants or your glove compartment or your purse. So, Stu, you can carry one around. They use an electrical charge to immobilize attackers for up to 30 seconds, allowing you time to escape and send emergency dispatch to your GPS location. Taser devices come loaded with features. like laser-assisted targeting, emergency dispatch, which sends the police

Right now, Taser is available without a permit in most states. I want you to go to Taser T-A-S-E-R-com promo code back. Some restrictions apply.
Starting point is 00:44:01 See the site for details. It's taser.com promo code back. Of entertainment and enlightenment, the Glenn Beck program. Do you want to understand why this big push with the media and with the left to get you to lock down, especially to lock down your church? Well, it's going to become very apparent in 60 seconds. Stand by. This is the Glenn Beck program. So I was, you know, talking about, you know, security and people in their homes, you know, in New York.
Starting point is 00:45:09 And you want home security? Here's what you do. You get yourself a bucket of paint and a paintbrush. You go to the side of your house. You paint a big door there. Then you go to the front and the back of your house and paint the doors to look like the walls. That way when somebody tries to break in, he's going to hit the side of the house. Bada bina bada boom, problem solved.
Starting point is 00:45:34 Another tip from Andrew Cuomo. That's great. Or you could do what tons of normal people do and get yourself a simply safe system. Top of the line cameras and sensors, you're going to be able to cover the entire house inside and out at all times. You can monitor it yourself remotely from your phone or device. You also have SimpleSafe's video verification team monitoring at 2470 if you wish, and it's like 50 cents a day. You know what I'm saying? Right now, get a free home security camera when you purchase a SimplySafe system at Simplysafbeck.com.
Starting point is 00:46:11 You also get a 60-day risk-free trial, so there's nothing to lose. Leave the gun. Take the canoli. Simplysafebeck.com. Simplysafebeck.com. All right. You know, do you remember the good old days when Bill O'Reilly was just talking about a war on Christmas carols and Christmas trees? Sounds quaint.
Starting point is 00:46:52 Yeah, they don't come back. Those days are long gone. There is a new group calling themselves the secular Democrats of America. And they have sent a letter to Biden's team. Now, when you say, I've never heard of the secular Democrats of America, it's okay. I hadn't heard of them either. They are founded and backed by many congressional Democrats. So these are congressmen and women that have written this 28-page document that I am posting right now at glenbeck.com.
Starting point is 00:47:32 So I don't need the story on it. I want you, I'm going to tell you the story. I want you to actually see from their own website restoring constitutional secularism and patriotic pluralism in the White House. This is their proposal. In this proposal, you're going to love it. It was presented by Congressman Jamie Raskin. Is that a guy or a girl?
Starting point is 00:48:02 Check out. You know what? Gender is not important to me. You're right. Right. Jared Huffman from California, endorsed by Congressman Jerry McInerney of California. And in this document, you will see that it talks about how the incoming Biden administration must educate the American public, particularly those who are identified as the religious right, because they need to keep their religious dogma to themselves. they talk about a
Starting point is 00:48:38 purge of social conservatives from all levels of government labeling them white nationalists and of course everybody's ever popular conspiracy theorist the document states and I'm going to quote the constant entanglement of religion and government
Starting point is 00:48:59 promoted by the religious right and intensified by the Trump administration sweeps far beyond hot-button culture war issues like abortion and contraception. It permeates every aspect of government policy, health care, public and private education, foreign policy, tax policy, environmental policy, military policy, and more, all of which are going to be addressed in this document. Oh, that's fantastic. Now, it also has a whole part of this document, whole section celebrating the response of COVID-19 and climate change. And you know, it's weird if you've done any homework on the Great Reset,
Starting point is 00:49:46 it's like using the same language. It's great. It is great. Because it's calling, you know, really for a new global economic and social order, which is great. It's a scientific, a scientific authoritarian kind of government run by unelected technocrats, which is Woodrow Wilson's dream.
Starting point is 00:50:13 And how much do I love Woodrow Wilson? You actually say, I hate that guy every time he says me. Well, I think everybody knows what you're just saying is a lie, because I'm part of the in-group. the document chastises President Trump for not following all of the arbitrary, constantly changing rules coming from the World Health Organization, saying, quote, policy decisions, listen to this, policy, this is congressmen, congresspeople, Congress units. Thank you. Policy decisions, quoting, that should be guided by science and evidence on matters ranging from climate change to comprehensive, sex education to federal funding for stem cell research have been skewed or blocked entirely by
Starting point is 00:51:04 powerful religious interest groups and further undermined at every turn by the Trump administration. There is no example more grave than this administration's lethal mishandling of the COVID-19 global pandemic, which has brought death to hundreds of thousands of Americans. Disregard for science and disdain for expertise has reached an all-time high in this administration of magical thinkers and conspiracy theorists. But these policy distortions did not begin with the Trump administration and will not end without deliberate action to restore rationalist, scientific, and pragmatic policy methods and judgment. We believe now that the time is right now, and it is right to make the case for reviving a Jeffersonian approach to governance that favors reason and science. And here's a word you don't hear very often. Evidence and disentangle government policy from the influence of sectarian religious interests that have become dangerously entrenched at all levels of government.
Starting point is 00:52:22 we've got to get them out of there. We have got to get them out of there. Maybe we can, everybody loves camp. Maybe we can send them to a camp. The paper states still quoting, we urge you not to underestimate the institutional strength of what we refer to as interchangeability, I think it is, in this document,
Starting point is 00:52:45 and it is the Christian nationalist movement or the religious right. God, God. That's an interesting combo of things. The religious right being an organization that, you know, the moral majority and like, hey, we should not, you know, commit sins and things of that nature. And then Christian nationalists is, you know, a group. That would be Father Coglin, which was a social justice organization. Hardcore Republican activist, right?
Starting point is 00:53:16 No, no, no. But, I mean, like, you know, they're trying to get you to associate. the typical religious Republican person with a white nationalist. Yeah. They're racist. They're nationalists. They need to go to camp. They really do.
Starting point is 00:53:37 You remember Anita Dunn, the lizard lady. Okay. I'm a big fan of Chairman Mao. She was a character from the early seasons of the Obama administration. if you remember that wonderful documentary. And yes, I do remember her making a speech. And I do remember the main thing I remember about her is not even what she said about Mao. I just remember her licking and smacking her lips throughout the entire speech.
Starting point is 00:54:03 So anyway, she was a big fan of Mao and Chinese communism and the Chinese cultural revolution, which, you know, just forced the Chinese people to submit to his view of life, which was anti- freedom, anti-god, anti-religion, you know, anti-free market, pretty much anti-people after Mao killed about anywhere estimated between 50 and 90 million people. You know, after 50 million, you just stop counting. You're like, I don't know, does it matter anymore? Yes. I just want to point out, yes, it does matter. So here are the authors, Representative Jamie Raskin, son of Marcus Raskin. We got this tip, by the way, from Trevor Loudon, who is, I mean, that guy's a warrior.
Starting point is 00:55:00 Marcus Raskin was the founder of the Institute for Policy Studies, which Loudon says has connections to the Soviets back to the 1970s. Jamie Raskin, who is a congressman now, has long connections to the Democratic Socialists of America. He's written for their publication. He's what Trevor would call a smart. communist, one that's like, oh, no, I'm not a Marxist, communist. Oh, those are, those are dangerous people. No, I'm just thinking, you know, I'm just out here trying to be pragmatic.
Starting point is 00:55:36 Another author is Congressman Jared Huffman of California, a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, which was established by Bernie Sanders, a socialist. Isn't that weird? Now, in the document that you will find at glenbeck.com right now it calls on biden to make the following changes now listen to these eliminating government support for all crisis pregnancy centers and all abstinence only education programs in school i'm a big fan of my own deny free speech and religious liberty to select americans based on their religious beliefs. How on earth can this be real? It is.
Starting point is 00:56:28 I know, but I just don't, I don't understand how it is 2020, and we're going into 2021. Told you, 2021's going to be worse. Incentivized states to strip parents of all non-medical exemptions to mandatory vaccinations for children in schools or daycare centers. Here's the tried and true. In God we trust has to be removed from currency. Repeal the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. Rescind and replace the Trump DOJ's federal protections for religious liberty. Appoint an attorney general who will support governors.
Starting point is 00:57:09 Listen to this. Appoint an attorney general who will support governors who emergency COVID-19 executive orders restrict gatherings at houses of worship. now wait a minute wait a minute, wait a minute, you're an anti-God organization. I thought that was just for public health and safety for COVID.
Starting point is 00:57:31 Now all of a sudden, wait, you want this as an anti-God, you know what this is? I realized this is a few, I don't know, a couple months ago. How long does it take to make a habit? They say 30 days, four weeks, it's a habit. So many of us have been in the habit of going to church every Sunday.
Starting point is 00:57:57 How many have that habit completely broken in their family? Sometimes they still can't legally go right now. Right. Right. But even just because of the break that happened earlier, I think a lot of people got used to either going online or not doing it at all. And, you know, the online thing can fade a lot quicker than this fall, like September or something, we were going back to church. Our church was opening back up.
Starting point is 00:58:24 We were going back to church because we can watch it online. We watch it, you know, every Sunday as a family. And so we do our own sacrament meeting and we watch it online. We were going back to church. We had a threat that was manifesting itself around the church. Sorry about that, by the way. Yeah, I know. Stay away.
Starting point is 00:58:47 Stay away. Look, it was kind of a straining order. but anyway so we decided that we are still going to stay out until you know a certain date when the threat kind of goes away sure and I realized
Starting point is 00:59:03 we are now almost a year without going every day we still do something on Sunday we still kind of you know Tanya makes us dress up so we still get dressed for Sunday you know service but it's in the living room I don't want to go back.
Starting point is 00:59:22 I'm digging that. Yeah, it's kind of nice. It's really nice. But it's breaking our habit of doing something. Part of going to church, at least for me, is doing something I don't want to do. Tony Robbins. It's just straight out of Sunday school. I know it is.
Starting point is 00:59:43 I was a Sunday school teacher for a long time. Strangely, they said stop teaching. But Tony Robbins told me he said, I have a dip pool that's like, I don't know, he's so tall. It's probably like 18 feet deep. And just about three feet by three feet, something like that. He keeps it at 57 degrees, I think. He said, every day I get up, I walk outside, I jump into the dip pool, get out, and I start my day. And I went, well, I didn't think I was going to put that on my list of things I'm never going to do.
Starting point is 01:00:24 That sounds terrible. Yeah. And he said, no, it's awful. It's awful. He said, but I tell my brain or I tell my body, I'm in charge of you. I'm going to, I control you. You don't control me. And he said, it's just this mindset.
Starting point is 01:00:45 that. And for me, I do not want to get up on a Sunday morning and go to church. I don't. But I do it because I tell my body and my mind, you are a servant of the Lord. Do what he asks you to do. Yeah. And it's important how many of us are out of that habit. And once you break that habit, If you're somebody who is just like, I just go because it's tradition, are you still going? Are you going to go back? This is why they are shutting our churches down. They are doing it to intentionally destroy the church. And I think this is evidence.
Starting point is 01:01:31 We could say that, but I believe this is evidence. Their goal is to destroy the church. They want a DOJ ahead of the DOJ to. come out and be appointed that will support those governors who have draconian edicts against going to church? Wait, there's more. You can find this entire document at glenbeck.com. All right.
Starting point is 01:02:04 Let me tell you about Amak. If you're in the age range where you're starting to think about joining a seniors group, sucks, doesn't it? You're like, wait a minute. No, that's not. Oh, crap. Anyway, the group to join is AARP. It's important to know.
Starting point is 01:02:25 I'm sorry, did I say AARP? Do not join that. Sorry. Amac, AMAC, AMAC, AMAC, there are great options and AMAC is the best. It's the Association of Mature American Citizens. When you join Amac, you're not only going to get all of the benefits that you're looking for,
Starting point is 01:02:47 but you're also going to be involved with conservative grassroots activism on the ground level. Right now, Amak is continuing its drive to keep the focus on the COVID nursing home. Hey, so Cuomo, you're just killing old people. What's the problem there, eh? It's the kind of thing you're not going to get from anybody else. These people are fighting for you. And there is power and strength in numbers. join me as I join Amac.
Starting point is 01:03:17 Let's get together and stand together. They're fighting the good fight. Become a member today. Amac, amac, amac. dot us slash Beck. Amac. dot us slash Beck. 10 seconds.
Starting point is 01:03:31 Station ID. Don't say. I was, by the way, looking, you know, you watch the church thing at home. Yeah. And it is a different experience. Totally.
Starting point is 01:03:53 You know, you were watching it on TV. A lot of times I'll watch it on my, like, phone, pop the headphones in. You know, you're listening, you know, and every once in a while I've noticed, there's a sermon going on. You know, I'm hearing about Jesus, all those important things. Yeah. At the same time, I might be making changes to my fantasy football lineup. And that isn't exactly what I would be doing if I was sitting in church.
Starting point is 01:04:20 I was sitting on my couch with the family, last Sunday, we're watching it on TV. You know, we're watching it, you know, on YouTube. Yeah. And I'm sitting there and I'm looking at the Christmas tree and I'm seeing all of the holes where all of the ornaments are. And I get up and I start moving and my wife says, sit down. She's such a task, man.
Starting point is 01:04:45 It's tough. Now, I will say there's a reason why the playoffs in both leagues and have won. I mean, I've put my time in. It's God's work. That's all. saying. If God wasn't with me, I wouldn't be doing so well. Rescind and replace, going back to this document, rescind and replace the Trump's DOJ Federal protections for religious liberty, reverse the Trump administration policies that
Starting point is 01:05:11 have allowed faith-based government-funded contractors to provide adoption and foster care services. Why would you want to do that? The foster care system in the hands of the government is, an abomination, an absolute abomination. There's more. Check it all out at glenbeck.com. More in just the minute. This is the Glenn Beck program. Hey, right. Hey, man on the street.
Starting point is 01:05:44 Yes. What would you say if I offered you a my pillow at $70? Oh, well, I would say, my pillows are the best pillows and are worth $70. That sounds like a good deal. Thank you, sir. Holy cow, Mr. Man on the Street, have we ever met before? We certainly have not, but I am taking strange sleep advice from you as I walked down the boulevard. I'm shocked.

Sleep is very important, Glenn, and $70 is an easy price to pay. Well, what if I told you, you could get it for $49.99? That seems impossible. Well, it is because they're offering it at $29.98. Starting point is 01:06:59 Glennbeckmerch.com. Coming up in about a half an hour, we have something really, really, I'm very excited about. The whole team has been excited about this. We've kind of been beaten down by the world in the last year. And we want to do some good here in the next hour and all day to day. We're going to be highlighting some amazing stories. of people and business and what they've been going through, but we're going to give you an opportunity to help.
Starting point is 01:07:38 Not just these businesses, but other businesses. In fact, we have a story of one person who said, I don't want the help. She has terminal cancer. She's losing her business. She went to work, you know, while she was having a mastectomy. And I mean, it's a tragic, tragic story. But she's like, look, I, my business.
Starting point is 01:07:59 business is already dead and I'm on my way. I just want people to know that people all over the country are struggling and she's not asking for any help. I just love it. But we have set up a GoFundMe page and you can find at GoFundMe. And I think you, it's just gofundme.com slash glens small business, I think. You can find it at Glenbeck.com. Also, I painted my COVID paintings and I wanted to do them for small business.
Starting point is 01:08:41 Today, we've made them very affordable. They're what are called Gclays. And you can buy them now at glenbeckart.com. And today, for the next 24 hours, everything that you buy, at glenbeckart.com, every penny will go to help small businesses. So it's another way for maybe you to get a Christmas gift for somebody. I can't guarantee that it's going to make it.
Starting point is 01:09:14 Yeah, this is when you do the thing that I do, which is you print out something on the internet, you bought 10 minutes ago, put it in a car and say, darn these shipping, this shipping right now, all these vaccines, they're just slowing down the FedEx trucks
Starting point is 01:09:25 and nothing's arriving on time. You know, we have, Beck Art, we have everything ready to go. And it was supposed to, you were supposed to be able to do it until Friday. But I just want you to know, I don't trust the shipping. There's so much, there's so many things going on. Right. That's what I was saying.
Starting point is 01:09:44 It's the shipping's fault. Go to glenbeck.com and, I'm sorry, go to glenbeckart.com and, uh, and buy something today, if something strikes your fancy. Okay. Now, let me go back to this report we were talking about just a few minutes ago. That has also posted at glenbeck.com, not the story on it, the actual document from Congress members. And by the way, Rashida Talib is part of that group. And she just, she's great.
Starting point is 01:10:17 I love her. I want to get my advice on religion from Rashida Talib. Because she's wonderful. I told you just a few minutes ago, why we're shutting down. churches, my theory, and I think this document proves it, we're shutting down churches and we're being so harsh on churches in some states. The reason why is they're trying to destroy our churches and break all of our habits. You know, for how many of us, if you're out of the habit of going to church, you know, are you going to go back? Hopefully, everybody would, but I'll bet you you lose
Starting point is 01:10:54 at least 10, maybe 20%, at least for a while. And that's not good. Let me give you another example. Georgia Senate candidate, Reverend Raphael Warnock, says he vows, quote, to dismantle the value system of America. The value system. Meanwhile, the Bible spends most of his time talking about how to treat the poor and struggling in the stranger.
Starting point is 01:11:25 Then don't misinterpret what Jesus is saying. Jesus is saying you'll always have the poor with you, not because God ordained it, but because it is what it is. And that's the way it has to be. The poor are going to be with you because of the evils and the excesses of the empire. So I vow to you,
Starting point is 01:11:45 I will dismantle the value system of the empire. I already told you that I came to preach good news to the poor to open the eyes, the blind, set the captives, free preach the year of the Lord's freedom. In other words, I came to dismantle the value systems of the empire. But here's the problem. Religious folk who should be fighting with me against the empire are in cahoots with
Starting point is 01:12:08 the empire because the early church was a socialist church. Okay, you know what? If you want a socialist church, A, that's a lie. but a socialist church is not bad. Do you know why? You can always opt out. There's no guns involved. You don't like it.
Starting point is 01:12:30 Go to another church. Easy. A socialist church, a church that says, you know what? We want to put all of our money into one big pile. And we're going to give it back. You just earn your money. Put it in a pile.
Starting point is 01:12:45 You take what you need. and we trust you. Okay, I don't want to go to that church. I'll do that when Jesus arrives, but I don't want to do that. But if my church decided to do that because we were all living in crazy poverty and it was the best way to help out,
Starting point is 01:13:02 I don't think it would work, but I could choose to do that or not. A lot of early churches tried that. The pilgrims tried it. The Mormons tried it. And it's fine. It doesn't work. It's not the, it's not the,
Starting point is 01:13:17 the socialism that was realized it pragmatically or in practice at least it's not been real right it doesn't work they always fail however socialist church that's totally different that's totally different than a socialist government because a church requests tithing they say to be a good member you should do this the government just takes it from you and by the way when the government takes something that you have earned. That doesn't soften your heart. There's nobody who's, if you have,
Starting point is 01:13:54 if you have kids who got their first paycheck, what's the first thing they said when they got their paycheck? Wait a minute. What's all this stuff being taken out for? I earned that money. Oh, really. And you still want to be a socialist. You want more taken.
Starting point is 01:14:16 Well, I want less sticking out of mine, but I don't care if it's out of yours. That's wrong. That's wrong. Aren't we all in this together? I know churches don't say, at least mine doesn't, 10%. Well, 10% from you, because you're okay. 2% from you. And that guy over there, he's got a lot, 50 for him.
Starting point is 01:14:38 It's not the way God works. 10%. Everybody, 10%. What's your church charged to buy yourself out of gluttony? Oh, my gosh. It's really, in my church, that's the only thing we can do is like eat and eat ice cream and make good cookies and everything else. So gluttony is not really a sin. I mean, it is, but it's one that we're all like, yeah, I am a Mormon.
Starting point is 01:15:03 I'm a glutton. Okay, Lord. And he's like, okay. I mean, you suffered enough. Come on. That's not exactly doctrine per se. Again, I was asked to stop teaching. But, all right, next story for you.
Starting point is 01:15:19 Pennsylvania Department of Health, Pennsylvania, Department of Health, led by the lovely. And can I say that? I think we should all say that. Would you not say Dr. Rachel Levin is lovely? She does seem lovely. Oh, she, no, she is lovely. And I don't mean that in a she's got a sweet spirit sort of way. She's H-O-T-N-Fuego.
Starting point is 01:15:44 She has issued a, by the way, look her up. If you don't know who we're talking about, look her up. You'll agree, she's lovely. She looks like she used to be a man, but I'm not pointing that out. I mean, she's a lovely woman. Anyway, she has issued new rules for large gatherings, but not just any large gatherings. Pennsylvania Department of Health
Starting point is 01:16:15 led by Dr. Rachel Levine has now issued new rules for large gatherings where you might end up having sex Is that an orgy? That seems like a Is that a bathhouse? What is? That's the old time name that is, I don't know. It seems dismissive of the wonder.
Starting point is 01:16:37 Look, we all walk into large gatherings where you might have sex. I mean, it just happens to all of us. You know, who knows? How many times have you walked into a large gathering and then all of a sudden everybody's naked and you're having sex with each other? Now, COVID has changed things a little bit,
Starting point is 01:16:53 but how many times before COVID did you walk into a target? And, you know, these things just happen. And all of a sudden, you're like, this is a target, it's changed. Large gatherings, this is according to Pennsylvania now. large gatherings are not safe during COVID-19. But if you do attend a large gathering where you might end up having sex, here are some tips to reduce your risk of spreading or getting COVID-19 through sex.
Starting point is 01:17:25 Helpful hints. You can't go. You cannot go to church. You shouldn't go to a large gathering where you're going to end up having sex with a bunch of people. But if you do, you know, you've got to have. some information on that. First thing. According to the Department of Health from Pennsylvania, the Amish have really lost the state, haven't they?
Starting point is 01:17:47 I think that's a new thing per se. But yeah, first thing. According to Rachel, who is as hot as the Rachel on Friends. It's just more of, well, it's a different circle of friends. Not the TV show, friends. Right. like that circle of friends where they're all ugly.
Starting point is 01:18:11 Anyway, limit the number of partners. Oh, I'm out. I mean, what? Limiting? What?
Starting point is 01:18:18 I, it must be unlimited. That's the only choice. Damn state makes a recommendation like this. Oh my gosh. Try to identify. Try to identify a consistent sex partner. I've been trying.
Starting point is 01:18:35 I just can't do it. Look, we gave it a world. We tried. We tried to identify a consistent sex partner. It didn't work out. Wear a face covering. See, that's easy because I only attend the orgies where we're all wearing masks. You're an eyes wide shut 24-7.
Starting point is 01:18:51 24-7, yeah. Wear a face covering. Avoid kissing. Listen to this. Wear a face covering. Avoid kissing and do not touch your eyes. This is really. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:09 This is real. Yep. The two documents that I've been talking about this hour are insane and they're real. Wash your hands with soap and water often, especially before and after sex. I will say just to a little addendum to this one, if you're going frequently to parties where you're having large gatherings and just having sex and you can't identify a single sex partner, COVID or not, wash your hands after sex. Now, do you mean after each sexual engagement? counter or just wash your hands before you get there, wash your hands as you're leaving. I would say bathe and bleach every 12 minutes.
Starting point is 01:19:47 Okay. All right. I say, why leave the bleach? If you usually meet your sex partners online happens all the time with me. Where else are you going to find? It's 2020. It's 20, 20. You're not just always going out to strange orgies.
Starting point is 01:20:06 No, usually you're going to at least organize them online. Yeah, because I'm so tired of playing the game of what do you like, what do you don't like? Just let's get to it. Anyway, consider taking a break from in-person dates. How dare you? Yes, what do we do? What are the alternatives? Well, video dates, sexting, subscription-based fan platforms, chat rooms, maybe good options.
Starting point is 01:20:30 So the state of Pennsylvania is recommending only fans to the states of the state. that is where we are yeah that's where we are that's where we are that's where we are and most of all protect yourself and your partners from COVID-19 during sex parties you know it's just one step too far the state trusts you to make these safe decisions
Starting point is 01:20:57 but you cannot open your business no you cannot go to church and if you do go to church don't you do go to church don't You dare sing. Don't sing. Now, can you go to church if you expect to have a sex party at church? I think if you expect that, it's probably okay. And if that ain't the best of both worlds, I don't know what it is.
Starting point is 01:21:22 We are so screwed. So screwed. We are so screwed. That's what the whole point of it is. I'm telling you. Temp and toss. Whether you're, this is the, what? I was going to say.
Starting point is 01:21:36 No, I'm not going to say it. You're not going to say it? Look, if you walk into a room, just put temp and toss on everybody's forehead. You're like, look, before we have sex, I need to know everybody's temperature. I'm looking at step four here. Skip sex if you or your partner are not feeling well. If you feel unwell or even start to feel unwell, avoid kissing sex or any close contact with others. It would be great if they could hand out tempent toss.
Starting point is 01:22:01 And so you walk in to these parties. Babe, you're burning up. Yeah. You're hot. Yeah, look, you're hot and you're hot. I'm sorry right now it can't happen. Anyway, Temp and toss, whether it's for sex parties, whether it's for the Ford Motor Company where they're not having sex. Or if it's with your kids, the best way to have a not the sex part with you.
Starting point is 01:22:28 No, I know. I don't know why you paused. Because you just looked at me like that sick. Oh, this is radio. knows if that occurs. People should know the way you're thinking. You're a sicko, you white nationalist.
Starting point is 01:22:44 Taking temperatures is not easy, especially with kids. That's why you need temp and toss. Best way to take a temperature both accurately and for hours at a time. The paper thermometer, you stick to the forehead. Once it's there, it gives you an accurate
Starting point is 01:22:59 temperature read out all day long. No must, no fuss. You've got a crying baby. A sick baby. Don't You don't have to wake them. You don't have to do anything. Just put the temp and toss on the forehead and you'll be able to monitor all day long. It's not uncomfortable. It's not inconvenient.
Starting point is 01:23:17 Big companies and parents are now using temp and toss. In fact, Ford Motor Company is using it for all their employees. You can use it at home. Just pick it up at, you know, usual drugstore. Or you can go to tempentost.com slash back to work and you can buy them in bulk. Tempentoss.com slash back to work. Tempen Toss. You're listening to Glenn.
Starting point is 01:23:44 We're getting a lot of calls from Pennsylvanians that are saying that the health secretary, Rachel, was actually Richard. What? Yeah. I'm looking at her. She's beautiful. I'm looking at it right now. I can't believe that.
Starting point is 01:23:56 And why, if it's true, why are you dead naming her? Trump supporter, I'm guessing. Is that what it is? Tell you about our spotlight sponsor. Are you always offending your liberal in-laws or maybe you have a Democrat at the dinner table? and that's going to be happening over the holidays, even though that's not allowed. One of the new sponsors of the show is an author with a book that I bet we all wish we'd had earlier this year. It's called How May I Offend You Today by USA Today, bestselling author, Susanna B. Lewis.
Starting point is 01:24:24 Lewis calls out the cancel culture and tears it apart in a really funny look at our current situation. If you don't know how to respond to our friends' political rants on Facebook, here's a great take on why so many people are thinking what they're thinking, but are afraid to say out loud, the real truth on everyday topics such as public displays of affection, T-shirts with indecent images, and of course, politics. Weaving together anecdotes from her distinctly southern life with frequent references to the Bible, what she calls Our Manual for Living. Good way of thinking about it. Lewis says what many of us have thought and in the process encourages us to stand firm in our views and our values.
Starting point is 01:25:03 It's a witty, down-to-earth book, inspirational message. How may I offend you today? It gives readers everywhere the boost necessary to make it through the most difficult and trying days. For anyone's facing a holiday get-together with people who they're bound to disagree, they need this survival guide, is how may I offend you today available everywhere books are sold. Radio show starts here in just a second. Of entertainment and enlightenment, this is the Glenn Beck program. Hello, America. It's Thursday. and we're taking a break from the doom and gloom and the gnashing of teeth and the wailing.
Starting point is 01:26:05 Instead, we want to do something really positive. And this audience never ceases to amaze me that you, if you're a new listener, you are among friends and you are among really the best, most charitable, most giving, most loving audience, I think ever in radio. Yeah, I can say that because Jesus didn't have a radio show. So it's an amazing audience. And I want to talk to you about the entrepreneur. I want to talk to you today about the people whose lives are on the line on this fight against COVID,
Starting point is 01:26:46 which is turned into a fight against authoritarianism. We begin in 60 seconds. This is the Glenn Beck program. This time of the year, we're all online shopping and, you know, we don't even think about it. But everything is exposed. All of your personal data. Cybercriminals love this time of year as we are just logged on giving all of our most sensitive information. It's time that it's dealt with.
Starting point is 01:27:21 But do you want something else on your plate? Norton 360 is a toolbox full of all the tools that will help you stay secure when you're browsing online when you're doing anything. First thing you have to have is a VPN, but not just any VPN, a VPN with bank grade encryption. Norton 360 has that as part of the package. Password manager. There's nothing worse than the passwords. And I'm like, I don't remember my where did I put that? I'm constantly forgetting.
Starting point is 01:27:55 This is a password manager that takes care of all of it. Norton 360 has you covered. There's a webcam device that make sure you're alerted if that webcam is on or if somebody is hacking in and trying to use your webcam. No one can prevent all cybercrime, but Norton 360 has the best toolbox out in the business. it's 50% off your annual subscription right now 50% off for your first year at norton.com slash beck that's norton dot com slash beck you know viruses get weaker um when they are really strong because they kill the host and then they die and only the weaker ones survive only the
Starting point is 01:28:58 weakest virus survives because it could feast on its host and then can spread to another one and it doesn't die out when the host dies. We're killing the host right now. This virus is eating the Western world's lunch and it's killing the host. Over 300,000 Americans have died already from COVID-19. We know because we see the numbers every single day. 300,000 Americans. That means there are millions of Americans who are going to spend their first holiday season without a loved one.
Starting point is 01:29:47 But one of the other parts of this devastation that nobody seems to care about goes beyond the loss of human life. It's the loss of one of the greatest, most special aspects of our, a society. It's a small business, the small business man, the small businessman's family, the children that are being taught in no uncertain terms now, the government controls everything. And if you're an entrepreneur or a small business, it's pretty risky. I don't know about you. I grew up in a bakery, and I grew up in a small town, Mount Vernon, Washington. It's still a small town. The carnation plant used to be down at the end of the street, the milk processing plant, and it still had the steam whistle at noon every day. It was a special place that had mom and pop
Starting point is 01:30:54 because everything back then was mom and pop. Yes, we had sears and J.C. Pennies, but everything else was locally owned. And there were special places. The movie theater. It wasn't an AMC. It was the Lincoln Theater. It was an old silent movie theater that was just this relic. And I remember seeing Star Wars there.
Starting point is 01:31:29 How are they faring through this? It's still open. Remember the candy shop or the ice cream parlor or the bakery or the bike shop or whatever it was that we would visit, hot summer days we'd go down and we'd dream or we'd just want to cool down or whatever it was. That special restaurant you went to only on birthdays and that was the day your mom would say, okay, you can have soda. Every single one of these places has an American with a story of resilience and bravery
Starting point is 01:32:10 and courage behind it. and every single one of those places is now at risk if it's not passed for them already of never opening their doors ever again. We've lost 300,000 Americans. But did you know, has anybody talked to you, that we have lost 100,000 small businesses permanently just in the first two months of this pandemic? It's been 10 months now.
Starting point is 01:32:47 a million businesses have closed their doors forever. Millions of Americans have poured everything into a dream and now nothing to show for it. If you're a small businessman, I know the pain. I know the pain of struggling. My dad lost his first business. There have been times here that we have really gone where my wife and I would look at each other and we would cry ourselves to sleep and say it's just not worth it. It's just too much pain and too much misery because what about all the employees?
Starting point is 01:33:30 Entrepreneurs are proud people. They built it from scratch. They're one-man shops. Do it myself. Brought myself up by the bootstraps. These people are heroes. And nobody, not one of them really wants to ask for help and certainly not from the government. but the government is putting them out of business.
Starting point is 01:33:57 Some of them are now asking for help. Others are saying their business is beyond saving, but please just tell my story because maybe it will save another business. This hour I want to exercise a muscle. I believe we are all God's hands and feet and back and fingers, and he uses us. This hour, you're going to hear from four small business owners around the nation, from Boston to California, who all have the same nightmare scenario.
Starting point is 01:34:37 Their stories are different, but the success of their business all relies on the decisions of a common enemy, the city and state leaders who seem almost adamant that small business is so important to communities around. the nation. It's so important now to make sure they perish. I want you to listen to their words. I'm going to give you a way to donate and it's going to be divided among small business. It's going to help some of these businesses and then hopefully we raise enough and we're going to start helping small businesses all over the country. I want you to go to gofundme.com slash glens small business. You can just go to glenbeck.com and you'll see.
Starting point is 01:35:26 Also, if you go to glenbeckart.com, all my COVID and everything on my website at glenbeckart.com, every penny of it that we raise today will go to this small business effort on GoFundMe. So please, if you're going to do some shopping, you want to buy a gift for yourself or somebody else, just at least look at those. I'm not making any money on it. just go to glenbeckart.com now before we hear their stories i want to tell you the story of of one person who couldn't come on the radio today her name is rochelle rato she was the owner of boat barn bagels in canyon city that's in colorado she was just awarded the best new business
Starting point is 01:36:25 of the year she is fearless i mean she would white water raft skydive camp out in the Colorado mountains where I mean you could be eaten by a mountain lion it yeah what are you crazy national guard two children this this best new business of the year month after month after month was getting worse and worse and worse it was dying each day a just a little bit more cruel sort of death for this business. And after months of crippling financial stress, watching her business die, Rochelle took her own life. Best new business. She did it. She was an explorer. After nine months, I can't do it anymore. Sherry Rogers, her mom,
Starting point is 01:37:38 addressed the Canyon City, Colorado leaders a week later. Listen. The financial toll to her was huge. And it's my opinion that she's a casualty of COVID. She loves this town. She just couldn't take it anymore. She tried, she tried, she tried. She couldn't take it anymore. So my very last thing is, there's probably people in this room that have said,
Starting point is 01:38:08 I can't take it anymore. I don't know that I can stand up to this anymore. business owners who are at their last dollar or their last, you know, whatever. And I just want you to reach out to others. That's what this is about. Sherry wrote an article on Facebook. If you happen to be watching the plays, she's just a normal person. She's somebody, her mother is just somebody that you see every single day.
Starting point is 01:38:46 She wrote, I'm trying to live life without my daughter in it. It's not possible. I see her everywhere. I'm still not able to articulate how she completed me as a mom. How every day she was woven into my existence. Always a part of my thoughts and plans. Always wanting more time with her. I used to sing, you are my sunshine.
Starting point is 01:39:16 Even when she was an adult. She will forever be my sunshine, a gift from God that blessed me beyond measure. The thriving, new business of the year, Boat Barn Bagels, is gone. More importantly, Rachel is gone forever. And we can either take her story and fall into despair because these stories are not uncommon. and they are happening in our own families. We can despair or we can say enough, enough. And not just stand and be mad, but instead decide.
Starting point is 01:40:14 I may not even have the strength to stand. FDR in a wheelchair. He could not stand, but he stood and gave speeches. He grabbed onto the podium and he held himself up even when he had, he didn't have the strength to stand. He stood. That's who we are and who we need to be. I want you to do two things today. I want you just to say enough is enough.
Starting point is 01:40:47 Not going any further. Not doing this. No. I want you, if you're a small business person, no. No more. If you are a person that can go and frequent a small business, do it. And also just listen. And if you have even a dollar, one dollar, I want you to go to glenbeck.com, follow the links to the GoFundMe page and help these businesses.
Starting point is 01:41:21 I ask you to stand with me to show that even though the government may have abandoned the small business, men and the entrepreneur, we know who they are and how valuable they are, and we will not abandon them. Back in one minute. Karen from South Carolina writes in about her dog who was having some eating issues for a while. She said, I was adding half a can of wet food to my dog pennies, dry food. She still would just stop eating it. Boy, did I go through this.
Starting point is 01:41:55 I thought I would give her rough greens. Let's give it a try, seeing how it's all vegetables and good ingredients. Now I just sprinkle a little bit on Penny's dry food and she licks the pole clean. It's amazing. She said, I'm so glad I tried this product. Thank you, thank you, thank you. And she puts smiley faces at the end. Karen, you're welcome.
Starting point is 01:42:14 And I'm glad Penny is eating again. My dog, Uno, they should get together. He's kind of lonely. Anyway, he eats everything in his bowl now, which was impossible before Rough Greens. Rough greens, not a dog food. It's something that you sprinkle on top of. whatever you're feeding your dog, chalk full of vitamins and minerals and omega oils and antioxidants, all the good stuff your dog is supposed to have, and so are you, but rarely gets it.
Starting point is 01:42:41 Me too. Rough Greens. Get the jumpstart bag. Just make sure your dog will eat it at 1495. Start the process of getting your dog healthier and much happier. It's amazing to watch them go through this. I want you to see your dog thrive again. Go to Rough Greens.
Starting point is 01:42:57 RUFF greens.com slash back. That's roughgreens.com slash back. 10 seconds, station ID. So I want to introduce you to Catherine Hill. She was born in Hanford, California in 1979, so now I feel like father time. She grew up an animal lover, an animal advocate. She rescued animals. She's like my daughter.
Starting point is 01:43:32 And at the age of 13, she thought I'm going to become a vegetable. vegetarian and she's still a vegetarian. She has two kids, two grandchildren. Catherine opened up a neighborhood bar called Miss Kitty's Lounge in Clovis, California, because she likes to save cats. The rent was paid on time every single month until the pandemic struck. In August of 2019, she was also diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. she underwent six months of chemotherapy 15 rounds of radiation radical mastectomy
Starting point is 01:44:13 she was already through a tough journey and then COVID and she managed through all of this to be able to keep her lounge open but then something happened she couldn't make her rent and she tried to work with the landlord but he wouldn't work with her she's on with us right now. Hi, Catherine. Catherine, are you there? Hi. Yes. I mean. I just love your attitude because you were one of the people who said, look, I think I'm
Starting point is 01:44:49 beyond help, but you needed your story to get out. Yeah. Tell me, tell me what is important for people to hear. I feel like what's important for people to hear is that there is so many businesses that have fell through the cracks because the government, PPP doesn't work for them because we were shut down and we have no employees. And our biggest expense is our rent. And if you don't have a good landlord that's going to work with you, they're the ones that are now putting you out of business, like mine. Sam Lacedo, he refuses to.
Starting point is 01:45:37 to work with us. And not only during the beginning of the pandemic, when there was a moratorium on evictions, they still were hitting me with 10-day notices to vacate. Jeez. And because there was a moratorium, they couldn't do anything. So instead of trying to work,
Starting point is 01:46:07 work with us, they hit me with a lawsuit of coming after us for the remainder of the lease. Attorney's fees, late fees. Holy cow. Over $150,000. Here's the thing that Catherine wants you to know that this is happening, but there is a way to to help and and you can go to go fund me right now just look for gofundme.com slash glen small business and so you know we're going to we're going to donate some money to cancer as well for in her name all right our sponsor this half hour sorry I had such little time
Starting point is 01:47:07 to talk to Catherine. Gold line. Man, I have a big mouth. Old Chinese curse. May you live in interesting times. Well, thanks a lot, China. Jedda. Yeah, thanks to you guys.
Starting point is 01:47:21 We are living in really interesting times. Did you see that Bitcoin is up to $23,000 yesterday? $23,000. I did notice that. Yeah. $23,000. Wow. And that's without any hype.
Starting point is 01:47:36 What's happening? the dollar is collapsing. Please, please call Gold Line. This is the time that I have warned you about for so long. Please call Gold Line now. You can get physical gold delivered directly to you or silver self-directed, a retirement account. They have a special going on.

And you can go to glenbeck.com and find out how you can donate to these businesses that are trying to make it through the pandemic. Glennbeck.com has all the details. I want to introduce you to Dave Folds.
Starting point is 01:48:28 He's the co-owner of Cronie Sports Grill. First location 30 years ago, he opened. Oh, she's in California. Everything's going great. and then COVID hits and all of these restrictions. Welcome. Dave, appreciate it. Thanks for being on the program.
Starting point is 01:48:49 You bet. Glenn, thanks for having me on. I appreciate it. I feel so bad for you guys in California who are just dying. And Gavin Newsom is completely out of control. And you're sitting there. And I've seen it. I don't know if you saw the viral video of the guy.
Starting point is 01:49:10 who is the Greek sandwich shop, where he's being hassled and being fined every day they're coming in. You're in that same situation, aren't you? I'm in the exact same situation. And our Agorahill store can't afford to have another lockdown or takeout only. Takeout's not our model. Every restaurant has a different style of doing things. And right now, since I'm going against the rule,
Starting point is 01:49:38 and I'm allowing people to still seat outside at six feet apart while our staff's doing all the proper safety protocols. I'm still open, and the health department is coming in every day, and I get a $500 fine. Every single day they come in and give me a fine for remaining open. What? I mean, I don't understand the people in the government that, A, I can go to Sam's Club, or I can go to Target, and I can be there with a bunch of people, but I can't go to a restaurant and be served with sterilized plates and forks. I'm six feet away.
Starting point is 01:50:20 And they just think they can just shut you down. Well, what are you going to do for money? Exactly. Well, that's the crazy thing about this, Glenn. You have to understand. If this is not even a left or right issue, this is a fairness and common sense issue. It's been proven. And I think again yesterday in San Diego, a judge is reviewing this also and may have already overturned it.
Starting point is 01:50:43 But as you said, you can go into a big box store and purchase things that are definitely not essential or the Home Depot and get something unessential. But my food and my business is essential. And it's just, it's so frustrating. And the funny thing is when the people come in from these business from like the health department, or the alcohol beverage control. All very nice people and all people who have a job to do. But they pretty much come in and say the same thing. Hey, listen, I respect what you're doing, but I have a job to do.
Starting point is 01:51:17 And here's your bill. And listen, those people have their jobs too, and they have frustrations going on in their life, and they're working very hard. But that's very scary when they could just have this arbitrary rule, which, by the way, in L.A. County, a judge already ruled that this county of the supervisor's authority, There was no merit to it and no science to it.
Starting point is 01:51:42 You know, I agree with you up to a point. There comes a time where when you have a job to do and you see the damage that it is doing, not just to the country, not just to the idea of private business and entrepreneurship, but you see the damage it's doing to people en masse. you stand up and you quit your job or you just say, hey, does anybody else feel this way? Because I think we all need to stand together. This has got to stop. And Glenn, you know what, I'm glad you reminded me of that and called me out on that.
Starting point is 01:52:22 You're right. Although they're great people and everything, there has to be a time when you say, this is against my principles. I am putting this industry and this man and his family out of business. And I promise you this is true. These are desperate times for us. And the first time, by the way, that there was a lockdown, things were a little different back then for two and a half months. We didn't know much about the virus. On top of that, we're going to get this PPP money, which we knew would be a relief.
Starting point is 01:52:51 And because of that, landlord said, don't pay your rent right now. Credit card company said, we can put you off. Our health insurance, our different insurances, even our vendors said, you're going to be getting money. Don't worry about paying us. It's not even close to that right now. This isn't, that was a nationwide thing before. And now this is isolated just to California, Southern California, and it is so unfair and so inconsistent and so random. It doesn't matter what you're, if you're leaning one way or the other.
Starting point is 01:53:24 This is about fairness and restaurants are being treated unfair for no reason at all. And some restaurants are booming. We don't have a drive-through. I wish we did, but that's not how we're set up. So, Dave, Dave, you, you've lost your, your life. license or your permit, so they could throw you in jail. I'd love to see them try, but they could throw you in jail at any time. If you close, if you have to shut this down, you've got $7,000 in just fines and attorney bills. No, that's just fine. The attorney bills haven't even shown
Starting point is 01:54:01 up yet. I'm scared to get that invoice. I know that I have been told that, you know that I have been told that you're struggling to make it to Christmas. Are you going to lay people off before Christmas? Are you going to close your doors? Well, my partners made a commitment that we're not before Christmas. We don't want to lay people off. It's just you don't do that.
Starting point is 01:54:26 And that's almost like the way I'm, my philosophy and how I'm thinking right now before Christmas is the exact way the health department and other authorities and other government agencies should be looking at us. We need help right now. The last thing I need is a fine, but they're fining us. I know. And it's just not fair.
Starting point is 01:54:46 But I have to tell you, the local law enforcement, they've been great to us. You know, they'll get their takeout and to show us their support. So great. And they're telling us what their limitations are going to be. So it's, and by the way, the support that we are getting from our community is overwhelming. me. People know that this is a scam and we are being totally mistreated and we need help desperately. Dave, thank you. Thank you for standing. Thank you for doing the right thing. And we're going to try to help you and others as well to keep your doors open. Well, we're risking our business for our liberty and fairness. And I appreciate you doing a great job. And we appreciate any help. Thank you so very much.

Man, that is a great business.
Starting point is 01:56:40 It started as a small business. I mean, you know, everything used to run into Kansas City or Omaha, all of the cattle. And they would be butchered there and carved up. And Omaha Steaks has been in business for over 100 years now. And they've always been known as the best butcher in America. They are just great pieces of meat. They called spoon cut fillets. You want to try some?
Starting point is 01:57:07 Get their deluxe grillers assortment. When you order that, you're going to get four free burgers with it. And you'll get a digital meat thermometer at an exclusive price. Just go to do Omahasteaks.com. Omaha steaks.com and give them the name Beck in the search bar that will take you to all of the specials, including the deluxe grillers assortment, and you'll get special discount those four, uh, those four extra burgers and the meat thermometer as well. It makes a great Christmas gift for you or somebody else. It's Omaha steaks.com type Beck in the search bar.
Starting point is 01:57:46 So I want to take you to Boston now. Uh, Joe Crowley is with us. He is the owner of, uh, breakaway Danvers. Uh, and this was a really, really, really important, part of the community back in the in the 1960s very very legendary if you will but then it became this rundown building over time he bought it about five years ago worked and poured money into it i mean he he worked as a small businessman entrepreneur fix it up and make it a part of the community he said in 2019 December a year ago he said all of his rooms were were booked, you know, the ones, you drive by these places where they've, you know, had big dinners for award ceremonies or for receptions, you drive by them now and you're like, holy cow, that's the
Starting point is 01:58:53 business he's in. And he joins me now. Joe, how are you? Well, and I can't thank you enough for advocating for our industry. There's really nobody out there in our state or coast to coast that's doing that. right now. And what you're doing for us is very important. And thank you. What is amazing to me, Joe, is you said it was December 19th. I can remember like it was yesterday, because it almost was, everything was going. And you had just, you had finally, after five years, hit your stride. Everything
Starting point is 01:59:32 was booked. You poured more money in technology. You couldn't wait for 2020. And than this. We took over a building that was a combination of, um, of kitchen nightmares and bar rescue. I mean, we, I started my first restaurant in 93, uh, as a young kid with $5,000 in my pocket. And, um, we took over this property and we created an unbelievable live entertainment scene of John Caffney and the Beaver Brown band came in a year ago, a week. And for us, we couldn't get local bands five years ago to play. Um, you know, so these are the types of but things that, you know, it's devastating. What we created up there was we were raising millions for pediatric cancer
Starting point is 02:00:17 and veterans group and youth organizations through the fundraisings that we were doing. And it was one of those things where the rug just completely came, came out from underneath us, right at the point where we had an unbelievable 2019 and we're ready to launch out 2020. And, you know, since March, it's been an unlawful. Unbelievable, stressful nightmare. So you had how many employees last year? At this place, I had about 35 employees. Currently, we're 100% laid off.
Starting point is 02:00:52 We closed about three weeks ago indefinitely for the winter. You know, I heard your last call of Dave on the West Coast, and everything he said was on the money, and I'm on the opposite coast. The only difference is we had a foot of snow drop on us last night. We never thought that our state and our federal government, you know, as we navigated the summertime and we were able to go outside and we could have some people singing and at least get people back to work, we said, well, we're going to have something that planned for us for the winter. There's no plan. And the cry in the Boston area to the state government is where's your plan? You knew winter was going to be here.
Starting point is 02:01:32 It's New England. You know, I'm looking out my window right now to a fresh foot of snow. And a lot of restaurants in the Boston area, they're small. You know, the regulations have made it impossible to do business. And we're losing thousands of restaurants. What do you think? I mean, this is what bothers me so much. I'm a small businessman myself.
Starting point is 02:01:57 What bothers me so much is I can go to Home Depot. I can go to these big, you know, places like Target. everything is open, you can go in, blah, blah, blah, as long as you're wearing a mask. But it's the small businessman who has been forced to close down, can't get the PPP money. And if it did, it didn't do very much, didn't go very long. And you're just out. And nobody seems to care unless it's for a political campaign. And you know something, Glenn, Dave, Dave, Dave, your last speaker, hit it on the market.
Starting point is 02:02:36 a left issue. It's not a right issue. It's a human issue. Uh, my employees think, think all different ways. They think right. They think left. Um, you know, it's, it's such a hot political season. We never thought I've been, I've been self-employed since I was 23. I'm 50. I never felt abandonment from my state and federal government like I do today. I can't get a call back from a congressman, a woman, a senator, the governor's office. Uh, we can't get a call to start a discussion with them and all we're asking for is what is the plan and their plan was let the winter come and let these businesses close somebody will pick this up in a year or two and we'll get our revenue and our sales tax eventually there's no concern for the families that are being
Starting point is 02:03:22 ruined and and everyone that I know in the restaurant business in the Boston area is once they're tough they're not trust fund babies we all came from the streets we all it was a way for us to work our way up to become a middle class to to raise families. It was a way for us to better ourselves and our families. That's what the restaurant business in Boston and New England is about. And these are all, nobody's sitting there with the handout saying, give me, give me.
Starting point is 02:03:50 We're saying, please give us a plan. We elected you. Give us a direction. You can't let us go into this wintertime without anything. And that's exactly what they've done up in the Boston area. They let us go into the wintertime with no plan. Well, I want you to know, and this is one reason why we're doing this, and I send this message out to all small businesses. I know you feel abandoned and nobody's paying attention, but people are, and they're aware of it, and we stand with you.
Starting point is 02:04:23 Joe, real quick, because I've got to run. You had a heart attack. You actually died in September for five minutes. How much of this stress was involved in that? Well, you know something, Glenn, I'm a 50-year-old guy. I'm in good shape. I've never had a medical history in September, and I'm blessed to be here. I have a wife. I have three kids. I had a massive heart attack on September 2nd, and stress was a major factor. Yeah. And what I went through. And, you know, this year's been brutal. We lost my dad in the spring. We're being told that we could have 20 people at a service. We have to navigate that. Holy cow. It's been a...
Starting point is 02:05:06 Joe, it is an honor to speak with you. Don't give up. If you want to help, gofundme.com slash small business. Even if it's a dollar, donate to help small businesses. Also, all proceeds at glenbeckart.com.
