Well, you know, every day my job starts out a couple of hours before the program when I am looking at all of the news stories of the day and make the final cut of what gets on what doesn't get on the show today.

And it is harder and harder to be able to put the show together because there is so much I could do it. a six-hour show every single day. Today, I just want to give you the headlines because I think it's important for the overall picture. So I want to spend 20 minutes just to give you what has come out in the news in the last three days since we last met. Holy mother. So we have more information about Deschenko.

he is the guy who was the source, if you will, for the steel dossier. Everything that happened, all this Russian collusion and Donald Trump has a really bad film from Russia that was made and he's making it with prostitutes, et cetera, et cetera. all of that stuff, all of it now. We know was not only false, but we know now that the FBI knew that in 2017, had a pretty good idea in 2016. In 2017, they were very clear on it. They knew where it came from. And this guy is made into this Russian operative, and maybe is, maybe isn't.

but he was at a liberal think tank and he wasn't coming up with the stuff himself. He was being fed information from a Clinton supporter. Somebody was on her campaign staff. So he didn't get it from Russia. He gets it from this guy. All of this now lays right at the feet of Hillary Clinton. Was this a coup?

You can make the case that this was a coup of sorts. They were trying to overthrow his presidency. If this was happening in any other country, we would say it was a failed state. When a major party can use the government apparatus and the media apparatus to smear and to build a case against an innocent guy just to thwart him. and they all knew. The Washington Post knew in 20, either 17 or 2018. They knew, and yet they continued to win the Pulitzer. They continued the lies.

Okay, so that happened. Oh, the FBI also is the victim in that one. I just want you to know. They say they were duped. Uh-huh. Now, the FBI also went out and, uh, tried to find a lost diary this weekend. Now, this one, you help me out.

I was reading Jonathan Turley's opinion on this weekend, and he's right. This is an absolute over-the-line abuse of justice. And the FBI needs to be called into account from the Senate, from the house and the people you've already destroyed your credibility FBI

now here's what happened do you remember a story about a year ago I think that there was a diary from Joe Biden's daughter and in it she had said that she had taken inappropriate

showers with her father when she was young she also said and I don't think it says the abuser, but she also said she was abused sexually, I think by a family member, but it doesn't pin it on Joe Biden. So there was some sort of sexual problems going on,

and there were showers with Daddy. Also, in that diary, she talks about how she and the other children of the family resent Dad so much because of the way he controls all of the money. which goes right to the Hunter laptop, which we now know is true. Well, they denied that this diary had anything like that. There was, oh, no, that's not true. All of this is just gobbledygook.

Really? Well, the FBI broke in to several members of the Project Veritas staff, their homes this weekend, searching for anything related to the lap, I'm sorry, to the diary. Now, here's what happened with the diary. The diary, according to Project Veritas, was from an anonymous tipster that said, hey, this diary is here. It was left behind.

Just go get it. Okay. Well, all right. It's, I mean, it would be really hard to believe that if that hadn't just happened. and with the Hunter Biden laptop. Exactly right. Maybe this is just something this family does. Yes.

They leave really important documents. Correct. In very strange places. Okay. So they left the diary behind. Project Veritas goes and gets it. They do not publish the story because they can't verify that the diary is actually hers. Okay. So they turn it over to the police.

now this is a year ago and you might remember this story because it made just a little blip nobody in the mainstream media was willing to touch it well now we know that the diary is real because the White House had the Justice Department and the FBI

break down the doors of these people's houses on Saturday morning and they were looking for anything related to that diary now may I ask What is the federal crime that would have been committed here with a diary? If my daughter loses her diary and it has bad things in it about me, are they going to, is the FBI going to investigate and kick down the doors of maybe some boy in high school that took it from her?

I don't think so. Since when is that a federal federal crime? Now, if it had things in it where I was abusing her and they needed that for evidence, I could see. But that's not what they were doing. So the FBI is completely out of control. The ATF also, we found out this weekend, has obtained 54 million gun records. 54 million gun records. Apparently, when any gun business goes out of,

goes out of business, they have to turn their records that are 20 years old. They can destroy them. The Fed now is taking the gun records and they're keeping them and they're digitizing them. So you can run them for names. This is a federal registry now. they are they are going to the small gun owners

are gun shops are going to be forced out of business mark my words they're all going to go out of business and so every record that they have will be in the hands of the federal government you tie this to the IRS spying on your bank account they've got everything they need

should they decide to misuse it but that would be crazy We have the written house trial that happened. I've got to go over with you today. It's astounding. The prosecution's case and the prosecution's witness. I don't know if the prosecution knows what that word means. You're not supposed to come up with things that exonerate the guy you're calling a bad guy.

But that's what they did. They put two witnesses on that. disproved the state's case. Why in the wildest dreams of the prosecution would you put these two guys on up as witnesses where they're like, no, that's not what happened. So now we know that the persecution, not prosecution, persecution of Kyle Rittenhouse is just that. They have nothing on this guy.

Biden came out this weekend and he said, no, no, no, no, no, no. The payout thing, you remember that thing that I said was a garbage term? Do we still have that from last week? He was asked about, do we have, you know, if we don't have it at our fingertips, no big deal, Sarah. He was asked, you know, hey, what about paying 450,000 people? The $450,000 to people who just came across our border during the Trump administration and maybe up to a million. And he was very adamant.

It's a garbage story. And Stu said, I think he's arguing about the $450,000. The exact dollar amount. Because the way he answers that he's very specific and kind of looks at him and says, you said, you said $450,000 per person, right? $450,000 per person. That's garbage. Okay. Well, he's, he's obviously some medication makes him really, really angry.

at times because he just flew off the handle on Saturday when he was asked about this because the White House said no no no no he he he was wrong it is going through they're they're going to settle these cases so they said it might not be four hundred fifty thousand dollars so here's what he said this sat what he said Saturday he said last week uh that this report about uh migrant families at the border getting payments uh with garbage no i didn't say that yes yes he said everybody coming across the border gets $500,000, $450,000.

So the number was what you got a problem? A number I was referring to. Big Big Biggs. If in fact, if in fact, because of the outrageous behavior of the last administration. Uh-huh, which is the same as yours than the guy before.

And you lost your child. You lost your child. He's gone. You deserve some kind of compensation. Okay. All right. Good. So you lost your child. Holy. lost your child. That guy is unstable. That is a really unstable reaction. And he looks worse than

that sounded. Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's an very unstable reaction. Okay. You lost your child. Not a good weekend for him to point that out because, you know, the child that we all have seen pictures lifted over the fence in Kabul and given to American soldiers has. been lost by the United States government. We lost their child? We lost their child. Now, we have said over the weekend, we're going to do everything we can to find them.

Oh. Okay. All right. So the child might be in Afghanistan, but most likely it's one of six different countries. I'm sure you're not going to have a problem. Finding the infant.

You lost your child. By the way, the mandate is not really now a mandate. The president has flown 70 secret flights into Florida. Inflation has grown between 50 and 200% in the last year because on food prices. Gas prices are going to go through the roof. That was the weekend. that was the weekend. The good news is this is all coming undone.

It's coming undone quickly. Oh, by the way, they passed the reconciliation bill. So they passed the last stimulus package. It's important to understand why Omar and her people didn't vote for the bill. There's two reasons. One, because there's a lot of weasel Republicans. in Congress that allowed them to do it. How do these people survive in a primary?

These people need to be out next election and we'll give you the list. But there's a bigger reason why they didn't vote for it. And it should tell you everything you know and it ties all of these stories together. In 60 seconds, I'll tell you. Thanksgiving, believe it or not, is only a couple of weeks away. Oh my gosh. You believe that? Oh, the food is going to be really good.

And that we sat down at one to eat. We didn't get up till seven. Seven. So I might have a problem. That was Easter? That was Easter. That was Easter. Wow.

Okay, so when you look at all of these things, you see that the FBI has gone dark. You see the ATF is now obtaining gun records and digitizing them and making them permanent now. the IRS is spying. The mandate that's not really a mandate, but is a mandate.

The payoff to people who came across the border from Biden, because you lost your child. The 70 secret flights into Florida. The inflation of gasoline prices. I'm telling you, you're going to be paying $5 a gallon. Easy. Everywhere in the country by the end of this. first term.

When you look at all of these stories, what are they all have in common? They seem separate, but they're not. So let me tell you what happened to the reconciliation bill. Reconciliation bill passed, but none of the, you know, Omar's voted for it. None of the squad voted for it. Why?

Because they said without, the build back better passage, if that bill doesn't pass, you have a key but no lock. They said they broke up the bills and they broke up all the infrastructure and put half of it in one bill and the other half in the other bill. So it's a lock and key. So if you just pass the infrastructure bill, but not the. the big back, build back better bill, you can't get everything done that you want. I've been telling you for a while, they're building it one piece of a time, I've been telling

you that. That's exactly what she just verified over the weekend. Now, how does that tie into all of this? Because everything is one piece. The IRS spying on your bank is part of the ATF getting all of the internet. information on guns. The ability for the FBI to use secret courts to spy on political enemies is also all part of that. The secret flights into Florida, where they're not alerting anyone, 70 secret flights into Florida.

Are you? I am. I am. It was, it's hard to know. what to start with. It is. I mean, I did find her diary underneath the tree and I started reading about me. But you found out it wasn't you. But then it wasn't me. In this case, it is him. So that's going to be interesting to follow. Because nobody will cover it. Yeah, nobody will cover it. Nobody. Nobody. Nobody will cover it. See, it's incredible. The work the Project Veritas does

and sometimes it's pretty staggering, pretty stunning. Oh, yeah. Revelations like this one, and then nobody picks it up. Nobody picks it up. If Project Veritas were on the left, they'd won Pulitzer every year. Oh, yeah. Every year. No question.

Well, in this case, though, they didn't even run the story. They didn't run the story. So they couldn't get credit for it. Now, the accusation, and it's not a clear accusation by mainstream media, but the accusation is that before. They turned it over to law enforcement. They leaked it to another conservative site that did publish it. You mean like BuzzFeed?

Oh, no, wait. No, that's not conservative. That would be totally okay if it was if it was BuzzFeed. Yeah. Now, they don't specifically say that, but that's the tone of the reporting. Okay, but the, why is the FBI involved in finding a diary? Yeah. If your daughter's diary is missing, I don't think the FBI, I'm not, the FBI isn't even about,

Anybody that I know doesn't say, Did you call the FBI? My daughter loses her stuff all the time. Can I call the FBI? Yeah, right. I mean, what's in there? Other than really damning stuff. Yeah, I mean, I guess the, I guess in theory you could say, right?

It was right before an election and it was a, you know, someone trying to manipulate a federal election. Is that their justification for this? I mean, I don't, I don't see what the, huh. I mean, it's a stretch, but I don't know what else you could come up with. What is it now? I mean, they're trying to affect a federal election. Really?

Like, that hasn't been done. I mean, that's the, you want to talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Oh, my gosh. Oh, yeah. I'm not saying these are good arguments. I'm trying to come up with some justification as to how this could even be related to the FBI. I mean, like, you know, someone steals something. Even if, again, that's not what we believe happened.

It was in theory left behind in a room that she was in. And it does sort of confirm the existence of the diary of Ashley Biden's diary, doesn't it? You're not sending the FBI in if it has, there's no validity to the story. Right. That doesn't necessarily confirm the contents of it. No, of course not. No, but it does lead you to believe that those, that content is probably accurate. Yeah, if it's filled with recipes, I don't think the FBI is going after.

No, the White House isn't going for anything. Unless the recipes are delicious. Yeah, it's true. Maybe they stole the colonel's secret recipe. So here's what Jonathan Turley said over the weekend. What was the context for the diary's loss? Did Ashley Biden leave her diary in a room or was it stolen? Two, what is the alleged federal crime and what is the precedent for a major federal investigation over the alleged theft of a diary?

What precautions were taken by the Biden administration in light of the claimed media status of the targeted individual? individuals. Why was there a delay in this action being taken if the alleged theft occurred a year ago? Has this been under investigation for a year and did the White House request the intervention of the FBI? Listen to what he says, regardless of how one feels about Project Veritas, there should be calls from media outlets for some answers on these basic questions. Likewise, Congress should be seeking answers as part of its oversight responsibility. Neither one of those will happen. Neither one of those will happen. This is a

grand abuse of power and it just shows again where the FBI stands. And this is them so you know going after journalists that didn't publish the story

and gave the diary they say to law enforcement. It also kind of gives you an idea maybe of why Why Ashley Biden is sort of the forgotten, the ignored, the hidden Biden? Nobody, he never talks about her. You ever hear about it?

I couldn't have picked her out of a lineup before the story broke. I have no idea what she looks like. And you never hear from her. You never hear him talk of her. It's always Bo and Hunter that he speaks of. Entries in the diary include the author revealing she believed she was sexually molested as a child and shared, quote, probably not appropriate showers. with my dad.

Some of the detail, the author's drug use, the crumbling marriage with multiple affairs, along with entries showing the family fears of a potential scandal due to her brother's new home and those show a deep resentment for her father due to his money control and emotional manipulation. Can you imagine if that was set? I mean, that's what they say. say the Trump children were. Oh, they're just in it for the money and they're just being manipulated and he's manipulating them and they're all manipulating everything.

That's exactly what's going on here. And you have it in the writings of Hunter Biden. And now we're not supposed to believe a diary that came out a year ago that the federal government is now breaking down doors in the middle of the night to gather anything. thing about the diary? Wow. I mean, again, this is the failed state. This is the action of a failed state. This is a banana republic. Did you hear about flying the 70 planes into Florida in the middle of the night? I don't think so. Yeah. It was found out this weekend that Biden has been flying 70, 70 planes full of people from the border in the border.

into Florida without any authorities in Florida being let known that it was happening. They're just dumping these people into Florida. Wow. I mean. Are they paying them to the $450,000 each as well? I hope so. I do too. I hope they got a nice place out of it.

Can we play that again? If you happen to be watching us, take a minute and really watch his face because it's worse when you see it than when you hear it. It is a very unstable moment. Watch this. I said last week that this report about migrant families at the border getting payments with garbage. No, I didn't say that. Let's get straight. You said everybody coming across the border gets $500, $450,000. The number was what you got to problem.

A number of dollars is referring. Okay. Now, here's the thing. Sure. If in fact, because of the outrageous behavior of the last administration, you. You coming across the order whether it was legal or illegal, and you lost your child, you lost your child, he's gone, you deserve some kind of compensation no matter what the circumstance.

What that will be, I have no idea. That is a terrifying clip. Yeah, he goes zero to homicidal in one second. Yes. It's disturbing. It's really disturbing. Really disturbing. I don't know if he's off his medication or if there's a medication with a side effect.

It makes you a little bit unstable. Because that's what it seems like. Yeah. I mean, it seems like either you are not in control of your emotions or you're on some medicine that does the same thing. Yeah. Makes you really irritable. How unsightly is that for the president of the United States to show that kind of anger, that kind of emotion just for no apparent reason? Lost your child. Lost your child. Wow.

And I don't think it's because of no reason, right? He's pissed off. He got caught. It's not pissed off about the child being lost. That's not anger because he's upset. Oh, gosh, these children were lost. He's pissed off because he was embarrassed. He came out and he tried to deny it and then got caught.

His own administration had to admit that they were doing this. And now he's down to, well, it wasn't $450,000. It was $449.5. Can I say it's a ridiculous? May I offer a third explanation for this? Yes. I think that they all buy into this crap. I think he absolutely buys into all of this.

And he sees, no one around him, he's not exposed to anyone in his life that is disagreeing with what they're saying. And so they're all sitting in a room and nobody says, what about the kids that were separated from Obama or the ones that you have separated now? or what about the reason they were separated was because they couldn't prove that that was their parent or a relative. Yes. And so they were held until a relative could show up and the relative took them. But we were trying to protect the child because it might have been a sex trafficker. Okay. Nobody is saying that to them.

And so they're sitting in a room and they get more and more angry. Because everybody's pouring fuel on exactly the same fire. Nobody's there saying, well, wait a minute. Hold it just a second. That doesn't make any sense. They're all just saying, and they lost their child. There are people around him that know that's bull crap. Why deny it initially then?

If you're, if you're, I think he thought he could get away with the number thing. I think you were right. I think you were right. It's amazing. He just thought, because I mean, why hide it if you're that viscerally, you know, in favor of these people getting paid. Because I think, I think, I think, he just realizes the politics of it, basically. I think he, well, I don't know.

I don't know. Maybe. I was going to say, I think he knows the situation that they're in, but I don't think so. I mean, look at what they've done in the last week. They had, they had the election six days ago and got their heads handed to them. And in those days, since then, they have passed the mandate. they have full speed ahead. Full speed ahead.

They've done this. They've passed the not the reconciliation bill, but the infrastructure bill. They just passed it over the weekend. And they're going to pass the other one too. Do you think so? I do. Yeah. I think they will.

They can't. The house is out this week, but I bet you next week they're right back on it. I bet they do. If I'm telling you, you should call your congressman and tell them if, they vote for any spending bill, infrastructure, anything, if they vote for any of these bills, you have a very long memory and you will work to overturn their seat and give it to somebody who will stand against this. I think this is a really dangerous place for the Republic to be in.

And I don't mean, I don't mean violence. I just mean they have completely detached. You know, they have. The, the, the, um, federal court put a stay on the mandate. I'll bet you they don't care. I bet you they just keep going. Yeah, that's my guess too. I mean, what law restrains these people?

It doesn't seem like there's a law that will restrain them. And, uh, I think given, you know, $400,000 to people who came across our border. Listen to what he just said. If you came over the border and you lost your child, you get a payout. $100,000, $250,000. You know what $250,000 means to somebody who is living in poverty in Mexico or Guatemala?

Changes their life. Changes their life. You're not going to file. Of course you are. You're not going to come for the lottery. You bet you win. This is a nightmare. A nightmare.

And think about it with the shoe on the other foot. American sneaking into Mexico or Guatemala. And then demanding a payment once you're caught and you've been inconvenienced at the border. Now I want to be made a rich person. I want a million dollars for my family, which is the payout that you could get per family. It's it's unthinkable. It is. We are approaching some sort of a line where the American people are going to stand.

I think Republican, independent and some Democrat are going to start standing up and going, nope, no more. No more. I mean, the Bubba effect is not going to happen just in one community. I think the Bubba effect is going to happen

in a lot of this country. A lot of this country where people will just stand up and say, I'm not going to comply. I won't do it. I won't do it. You're out of control. You're giving people who come across our border money and you're not helping any of us. You're not helping any of us.

How many shows do we do on Marty Walsh? None. Marty comes out this weekend and he says, hey, I want all this stuff about this mandate. It's not a mandate.

I wish it was a mandate, but this is just, you know, a mandate that you would have to get tested and wear a mask, but not a vaccine mandate. Oh, and by the way, it's going to come here shortly for companies that have less than 100 employees. He said, this isn't a mandate. This is a vaccine or testing. And I think that's something that a lot of people who are anti-vaccine and saying they don't want it, I want you to take a deep breath and hear what I'm saying here because I think it's really important to understand. It's about keeping people safe, including people who don't want to get vaccinated. to make sure that everyone's safe.

So as we told you last week, there were several states that took action against this mandate. the rule applies to just 84.2 million workers and another 1.9 private sector, according to OSHA. But we had Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Utah. The AGs got together, and they put together a legal brief and filed it against the Biden administration.

And it won over the weekend. There is a stay on this order. Ken Paxton is here to tell us all about it. Hi, Ken. Good morning. Glenn. I hope you're doing well. Thank you very much. Ken is the Attorney General for the great state of Texas. Tell me what happened. As you said, it was a pretty well-organized deal. It's not just those five states you mentioned, but there are other states suing as well. We've obviously been talking about this since the day that Joe Biden told us that he was going to do it. And it's odd that he told us who was going to do it because a few months earlier he said it would never happen. And the federal government did not have the authority to do it. he was right to

Oh shoot, you're breaking up. He doesn't have the right to do it. Okay. And they know because there's just no, there's no place for this in the Constitution, unless you start to twist the idea that OSHA has complete control over everything in the workforce, right? That's correct. And not only do they not have the authority, but the president doesn't have the constitutional authority to give them that authority.

I'm not even sure Congress would have. the authority, but clearly, OSHA has not been given that authority by Congress. So they say they have control of everything in a workplace that makes people unsafe. I mean, OSHA's, OSHA's, you know, directive is so broad that you could say that they have the legal authority. Couldn't you? I actually, no, I think they've been given authority over, like, substances, consignogens, toxic materials, but they've never been given authority to deal with communicable diseases.

That's the CDC, and even the CDC doesn't have the authority to mandate vaccines. As a matter of fact, this has happened in the past. They were asked to implement at some point in our history a vaccine mandate, and they said it was better to do voluntary, not mandatory. So we have the CDC also making a ruling that, you know, don't worry about it. don't worry about paying, you know, for your, for your monthly rent or your mortgages. And the Supreme, I think it was the Supreme Court, or was it a federal court that said, no, you don't have the authority to do that.

But the Biden administration is still doing it. Correct? Did we lose him? Oh, there you are. Ken, are you there? Hey, yeah, I'm here. Sorry, but, yeah. You were right about that.

It was the Supreme Court that stopped that. from staying in place another illegal implementation by the Biden administration. So they've just continued to do it. What gives you any feeling that they're going to listen to the, I think it was the Fifth Circuit Court this weekend, that said this is federal overreach. It has grave constitutional consequences, I think, is what the judge said. What makes you think they're going to stop?

Well, look, it's one thing for them to not. not follow federal immigration law and not proactively do what they're doing. But if we have a stay and ultimately a victory, then I think Americans will just say, look, the court has ruled that the president can't force me. He never had the authority to force me. And now a court has ruled a federal court has ruled that he doesn't have that authority. I think it'll give the American people some security and some confidence that they can ignore this and not worry about it.

we are increasingly looking like a failed banana republic we have an administration that is knowingly twisting knobs and turning levers right now and they know they can't get things through congress so they're just doing things through like OSHA and the CDC and they seem to be ignoring things the FBI is off the rails. And it's just the states now that stand in the way.

Are you convinced we have enough states and enough momentum to be able to stop this? You know, I think you and I've talked about this before. I know we have. I see something really good happening among the states. It seemed like when Joe Biden was first of the law, elected, it was Texas and a few other states out fighting this, this mandate has motivated almost every Republican state, which half the country, to do something about it, to fight back. And that's really the key to our survival. It's got to be Texas and the rest of the country

saying, no, we're not going to put up with this, because if we let it go, we really will be a banana republic. We really will have no control over our elected officials. And we'll have an out-of-control president who just dictates us what he wants us to do. Let me change the subject just a bit. There's a couple of other stories that have come up, and I'd just like your read on this. The FBI raided Project Veritas, the writers of some of the news that comes out of Project Veritas. You can like them or hate them, but they are doing journalism.

You may not like it, but that's what they're doing. Over a year ago, there was a missing Biden diary from his daughter. And in it, she claims that she was a sexual assault victim from somebody in her family. She talks about having to take showers with her father. Then they go into the money stuff that sounds very much like Hunter Biden. Project Veritas never printed these stories. it was leaked to another outlet that did do the stories. They instead turned that diary over to police

because they couldn't verify that it was hers and they just wanted to get it to the hands of the police. The FBI, a year later, broke down the doors on Saturday morning of Project Veritas writers and were searching for anything related to that diary. Now, I don't know what federal... crime someone is committing with a a diary even if i if i if i called you can and said hey my daughter left her diary someplace and somebody took it are you going to get the state troopers out to look for my daughter's diary absolutely not this is uh the biden administration using law enforcement the

fbi included to do their bidding to do their political bidding and and it's creating a real lack of credibility with federal law enforcement when you see things just like this. You see the FBI being used to investigate parents who dare to speak out at public school meetings. So this is, and we certainly saw this during the Trump administration, but now the Biden administration is perfecting this and using law enforcement to punish people and to go after people that they don't agree with. And I think this is another example. I know Erica Keith. He's an amazing guy. He's been some amazing things. and what they're doing here is very reminiscent of what would happen in Germany to you back in the 30s and what happened in Russia and China. It is terrifying.

Are our states going to stand against it when it gets, I mean, when you're breaking down the doors of writers over a diary that is in question, I mean, the assault on the First Amendment and a free press is pretty obvious. Are our states going to stand? You know what? I sure hope so. We were standing up to Biden administration now, but, you know, I think there's a lot of fear, even among Republicans. Like, if I stand up, they'll come after me, and that's the reality of where we are at now. So I think the truth is, if we don't stand up now, we will see our freedoms eroded, we'll see law enforcement use for political purposes more and more, which they're already doing.

And look, if they're willing to investigate parents and they're willing to do things like this, we can't know where they'll stop. And so if we don't think, if we don't stop them now, if we don't speak out now, if all Americans don't speak out now, we're going to pay the price with more and more of this, and it's going to get worse. Can I ask you one more question? I don't know if you've been following the written house trial at all. But the prosecution, the prosecution brought a couple of people up. Let's go to, can we play SOT one real quick for him? The media's response to Yonkin's victory is literally...

Not that, please. Sought one of Rittenhouse. When I turned around, Rosenbaum was right there in front of my face, yelling and screaming. And I would say, dude, back up. Just chill. I don't know what your problem is. And he goes, you know what? If I catch any of you guys alone tonight, I'm going to kill you. And he said that to you? Correct. Did he say that to the defendant as well? No, the defendant was there. So, yeah. Another person, play SOT 3, please.

Another person for the prosecution said this. I kind of caught up to them. I was running a bit faster. And so at the time initially, I was probably 30 feet back when everybody first started running. But then by the time I arrived in the lot, it was 15 feet. And you continue to be behind Mr. Rosenbaum at the time that the defendant shot and killed him. Correct? I did alter my trajectory a little bit when I saw Mr. Rittenhouse turn around and saw Mr. Rosenbaum

lunging for the front portion of the rifle. Lunging for the rifle. How did this case make this into a courtroom when that's the prosecution's witnesses? You know, again, it's shocking. The abuse right now with law enforcement, with the Department of Justice, with just law enforcement in general by the Biden administration, and other and other elected officials is scary. And it's scary, even in my state, where local officials use politics more than the law. So the rule of law is becoming a thing of the past. And that's why I think it's so critical

that we cannot let anything pass, whether it's the FBI investigating parents or the FBI investigating Eric O'Keefe and Project Veritas. If we're not speaking out now, I'm telling you, I think it could be too late down the road. Thank you very much. Anything that the people can do to help our AGs? I would say, don't be afraid to speak out at work. Don't be afraid to speak out in your community. We all need to speak out now. It's not a time to be timid. talking about the jurors in the case that we were just talking about. Listen. I ain't even going to name the people that I know that's up in the Kenosha, I mean in the Kenosha trial. But there's cameras in there. It's definitely cameras up in there. And there's definitely people taking pictures of the juries and everything like that.

We know what's going on. So we need the same result. man we need the same results justice for Dante Wright so we're talking about the written house trial and they are now saying he's threatening the jurors there are pictures and we need the same results so seemingly very consistent with our justice system and how it's supposed to work we're doing well here we are doing well are we winning or are we losing? I mean, if you look at the stories today, you can say that the system is working in a few

places. It seems to be working with Rittenhouse. He's probably not going to get, you know, he won't get life. He might get, you know, some of the gun possession things. I don't know. But he's not going to get life. I wouldn't be surprised if he was set free. Would you still?

No. Yeah, not with this prosecution going on. No, I mean, obviously he should be set free. I mean, it shouldn't even be, as you pointed out, even in the, it shouldn't even have gotten to this point. I mean, it's completely ridiculous. The FBI raid, the fact that they have to go after his daughter's. diary with the FBI shows they are terrified. This is becoming a police state and they are terrified.

You're not going back to put the FBI back into a good bottle. You're just not. The FBI is losing all credibility. And I think that's a good thing. I really do. I think we have to come to terms on how far our government institutions have gone off the beaten path. To fix them, we have to know you need a reboot.

Return to factory settings. We need a reboot. So I think, you know, the mandate, that mandate is, has now been stayed. I think it's going to be overturned. I think so too. Every once in a while I catch myself being optimistic about something and I realize I must immediately reverse myself. Right. But in this particular instance, it's so egregious.

I just, and it's good sign that it's already being stayed. So that's a good sign. So here's what they're doing because they are losing. They are trying to poke at you and they're trying to put holes into the boat that can't be repaired with a sailing ship. And that is the 70 secret flights into Florida of just in the middle of the night, taking them from the border, the Biden and Minnesota. has flown 70 airplanes without without notifying the state, just dumping them in the middle of the night.

Thousands of people. I think it's 36 on each flight. So that's, you know, 2,500 people. That is crazy. That is crazy. And the inflation. And I want to go over some of the inflation with you here in just a second. Because I'm telling you, prepare to pay $5 a gallon of gasoline. And, their lies, because the mainstream media cannot cover this anymore, the lies of just the gas pump is going to make them extraordinarily unpopular by spring. And they know it. So they need to hurt you in the wallet. They need to hurt you in the job. And they need to make you feel alone like you're not winning. Know that you are because more and more people are waking up because it is so clear and obvious justice the administration and the media gone

So one of the real disturbing stories of the weekend is the use of the FBI to go in and and try to scare the Project Veritas writers about this Biden diary. Now, this is Ashley Biden's diary. you know, there's no way to verify. I mean, I guess you could do a handwriting analysis, you know, and find out if that is her handwriting, you know, but I'm not an expert on this. But it reads, in reading her diary, it reads genuine of somebody who is really going through tough times. This is a new diary that she started when she was trying to get off of, you know, alcohol and cocaine and drugs. and she is she talks about going to a a meeting she talks about you know the things in her

past um uh and then she talks about the the the troubles that she has had in the past she says i was hyper sexualized at a young age uh what is this due to i was molested i think i can't remember specifics but i do remember trauma I remember not liking the Wolzac's house. Don't know what that is, but maybe that is something that is not related to dad, because that would be kind of an important thing, but it goes on. I remember somewhat being sexualized with Caroline. I remember having sex with friends at a young age.

Showers with my dad probably not appropriate and being turned on when I wasn't supposed to be. Hmm. She hurt her sex. after overhearing her parents having sex? What made me so attached? And this is really weird because she, she, I guess, punished herself in her private parts after overhearing her parents having sex.

She's then asking, what made me so attached? My mother not emotionally available. And my father's message was I could get love from men. So, wow, this is, this is incredibly depressing. And we don't know, obviously, we don't know the veracity of this diary. We don't know the legitimacy of it. In fact, you know, we know that Project Veritas did not want to print it because they could not confirm the veracity of it. But it was released by a separate conservative outlet.

Right. And so I will tell you this. I don't know I don't know if this is hers but everything in it as an alcoholic everything reads

like this was written by somebody who was going through this and it seems like with the raid as Jonathan Turley points out it seems like basically the FBI is confirming that there was a diary stolen we just don't we don't know for sure that this is the information in it

though the alleged alleged path of how it got to these pages seems to indicate that it is the same diary. But we can't confirm it completely. Yeah, I mean, and there's a lot of good stuff in here as well. There's a lot of stuff, you know, that's positive. Again, the reason I've written a diary like this, not with those things in it, but I've written a diary like this. When you start to go sober, you write a lot. and in it she will go from really dark things to, you know, things like, you know, things like this.

She's, you know, prayer. Please, whoever you are, please keep me sober today. Thanks for keeping me sober. You know, then she goes in the big book, page 417, acceptance, page 86, upon awakening and calm down. Pray to be okay, to love them, love yourself. Help me, love me, please. And it sort of points to the legitimacy of it because there's actually good things in there, too. Correct.

Yeah. Correct. And it's tough because it came out. If you don't remember the story, I didn't remember it either, frankly. It was a story that came out right before the election in 2020. And it was only, it wasn't even picked up widely by conservative media, let alone mainstream media. It was not a widely shared story at the time. But it did allege these things.

but it alleged them in a time period where if you're going to release a fake diary from I don't know why you do this, but you're going to release a fake diary from one of Biden's kids, you know, you're going to do it a week before the election for Max impact. And so a lot of those things like the Hunter Biden laptop,

get dismissed by people because it just seems like when you would release a dirty trick. You know, we remember and remember dirty tricks do happen. Ask Dan Rather, right? go be totally fake documents in the middle of an election cycle that in what it happens to Republicans the main anchors of network news pick them up as fact but this gets leaked to you know

some some conservative or Trump supporting website that had no real reach or credibility at least among many even on the conservative side it just didn't get hugely big pickup because people doubted it people were skeptical but lives have changed. And you also have to understand the sickness of the Biden children. And I mean this with, with honestly, with no malice towards them. Obviously, something in their family is not all right. I don't know what it is. But you don't have the children that the Bidens have that are this addicted to drugs and out of control without something. And it could just be the fame. It could be, It could be nothing that is out of the usual other than you don't have a regular life if your parents are, you know, the vice president or a senior senator or, you know, famous.

And they've had obviously major tragedy in their life. You know, there's other things that can lead you to dark moments. But, I mean, as Pat pointed out, I think this is off the air, but Pat, when he was in here, said, I don't think I could have picked her out of a lineup before this weekend. Correct. I mean, did you even know there wasn't Ashley Biden? like people always make that joke about Tiffany Trump that she's never really correct but I know exactly what Tiffany Trump looks like I've seen her 100,000 times like Ashley Biden like honestly like it's it's it's a fascinating it's a fascinating thing because you hear about Bo he talks about

bow all the time he talks about Hunter when when he has to but Ashley's really remained out of the spotlight and and you if some of this stuff is accurate I mean, you'd understand why she'd want to be out of the spotlight. Well, she also talks here. It's sad. His feelings I'm produced in another. My dad owned something on the phone saying that he has the debate in a week and now has to worry about you. He said owned, I guess, or I don't know.

Maybe he knows what I have been doing. um it's the weekend but my feelings of guilt are often overwhelming uh blah blah blah she goes in to talk about how uh her dad has always controlled uh the finances of the family and um that she is um she resents him and so to the other children the way he has been doing the financing she worries about the exposure because one of her brothers bought a house. This is, sounds exactly like Hunter Biden's laptop. Now, why is the FBI going in and trying to intimidate press members who have exposed this? A year after.

A year after. This went away. You leave it alone and nothing happens, right? Mm-hmm. Sure. So either somebody is about to release something, Project Veritas or somebody, which then what's happening? I mean, it's also, you have to take this into account.

At this point with what we know about what this administration has done and what their patterns have been over the past few years, you have to take into account that it may very well just be an excuse to get to whatever Project Veritas has. You know what I mean? going in there and being able to apprehend a bunch of computers and hard drives and files or whatever else they're taken out of there has God only knows what other information about other things that could be there.

I mean, this could just be not an intimidation effort, but an information gathering effort to go after a political opponent, which, you know, you mentioned Banana Republic. That is squarely in the path of what's supposed to happen. We are firmly this weekend, it's very clear, just with all of the news that is broken this weekend. It is very clear. We live in a banana republic. There is a collusion between intelligence, justice, and this administration. And I think the media as well.

You notice the media isn't talking about this. Every single member of the media, if they were doing this, to, oh, who do I really? Brian Stelter, if they were doing this to that Seinfeld character, who is of absolute no value, if they were doing that to him, I would be standing up saying, what are they doing? What are they doing? Yeah, I know the New York Post came out and defended Project Veritas and said,

what is going on here? Correct. all be together. Hats off to Jonathan Turley. Turley, who is a, I mean, he's a CNN guy.

He, I haven't seen him on CNN. I doubt they're telling his story. He's not getting booked this week. No, he's not getting booked this week, but he did write about it and say, this is,

this is very disturbing, very disturbing. It's supposed to be disturbing to anybody in the media. I know that when, you know, the Obama administration went after multiple media members, and it wasn't just Fox, though,

Fox was one of the targets. And we were against all of it. I mean, you can't have this. This is exact, this is in opposition to what our country was built on. I mean, foundationally, this is, we're talking First Amendment issues here. I stood and I stood with, I don't know, journalists of Americans or over America, whatever, whatever their journalistic thing is. And I was asked to sign on to standing up for the rights of press under Trump. And this is when he was saying at the very beginning, the press.

is an enemy of the people. And, you know, maybe we should regulate them. And that was very frightening to me. You don't regulate the press. It is free and uncumbered. And so I signed on, not for the same reasons that some of the press did, because they were only going against Trump. But I'm consistent.

I thought it was wrong then. I thought it was wrong under Obama. And this is the worst abuse I have seen. I never thought I would. live in a country in this country, in this country, where that kind of thing could go on and nobody says anything. Well, they're saying something now. Again, it's a early, it's a story that's breaking really recently.

So who knows what else we'll find out about it. But I mean, what we know now from the reporting that's out there, it is incredibly disturbing. Very. And I don't know. Maybe the circumstances will change. Maybe there's something we're supposed to know that we don't. But, man, this is not what's supposed to happen in this country. Back in just a second.

It would be wrong of me to let this story go. Apparently, Camilla Parker Bowles, everyone's favorite. met with the president in Scotland during the global climate change gathering. And they were talking. And she said that it was so long and loud, it was impossible to ignore. And apparently, she hasn't stopped talking about it. She said she was having a conversation with the president. and he let out a very long and loud impossible to ignore fart.

This is actually, this is incredibly believable. I have no skepticism of the story whatsoever. It's just so... It's from the New York Post. It's so plays into what I believe happens that I can't even be skeptical. Also, the source spoke to the Sunday mail in London. So, was that loud, huh? They heard it too.

No. Well, you know, I don't know, but I mean, maybe that has something to do with the climate agenda, you know. If we can get him to stop farting, you know. There are a lot of emissions there. So if you're born in 1930, now you're starting to go in the progressive era, even 1900, it all just kind of goes away.

There's no underpinning of anything worthwhile anymore. And we were just riding on the fumes of the past. That's all that was happening. I mean, we grew up with Gilligan's Island and I Love Lucy and the Brady Bunch. Those were all morality plays. We had our churches. We got nothing now. We have nothing.

I mean, I've been looking for fertilizer, you know, especially per ton. It, uh, the liquid nitrogen based fertilizer widely used for growing grain and other grass crops stood at $522 per ton in the fourth week of October. the product has now jumped 18% over the average from September to reach its highest price in 13 years.

And that's since the beginning. The fertilizer has climbed 26% from September to October. Remember, it was 522 per pound or per ton. It is now 982 per ton. It's up 108% over the year. year. Why is this important? Because fertilizers are needed to grow food. So this should go to your understanding that food is going to be more expensive. Last week, we had Carol Roth on and she was talking about something that I couldn't verify and she went out and she did verify it, that there

is even a can shortage. So even canned foods are going to be harder to come by. It is really a good time to learn how to can for yourself. Honestly, it is a good time to take the time this year. Maybe that's a Christmas thing that you give each other or whatever. You know, heirloom seeds and books on how to plant a garden and how to do that if you happen to live in an area where you can. In New York, pizza's always been a buck a slice. and it's a it's kind of a new york thing buck a slice literally the 99 cents a slice is like the name of 4,000 pizza restaurants like it's not even it's just the title of the of the store correct it's now a dollar 50 in new york at the 99 cent place at the 99 cent place they have to update their sign or they just start charging more they say everything that they serve and everything that goes into the pizza is up 50 to 200 percent this is inflation.

Then, by the way, they're firing truckers now because of Biden's vaccine mandate. Oh, and 7200 truckers have failed their drug tests, so they can't be out on the road. But don't worry about it. We're not going to have a problem. In fact, Joe Biden just knows that he is above you. He is smarter than you. Cut eight. Here's Joe Biden over the weekend.

Listen. If we were all going out and having lunch together and I said, let's ask whoever's in the next table, no matter what restaurant we're in, have them explain the supply chain to us. Do you think they don't understand what we're talking about? They're smart people, but supply chain. That's a great point. Wow, he makes so many good coherent points. He's a good point.

Me make things in China put on big boat, goes across water, docks, unload put on trucks and trains, then ship to store, me go out and buy. That's the food chain, or the supply chain. It's not that difficult. food chain, food chain, plant seeds in ground, then harvest, put in truck, deliver to grocery place or canning plant.

That's it. Logistically, it is a very complicated process, but generally speaking, I think we all understand how it works. But the guy who says you don't understand the supply chain, then puts a mandate out for vaccines. that takes tons of truck drivers off, then the law, the new law that has just been put in, 7,200 truckers have failed some sort of a drug test for the federal government. So now they're off the roads, and he comes out and says it's not going to affect the supply chain.

I don't think you know what the supply chain is, Joe. I don't think you do. And may I just present one more piece of evidence? I don't think you understand any of it. He is talking this weekend about shutting down yet another pipeline. Okay. That won't be good. May understand gas come from magic pump.

So we are now shutting down another. We've already done the XL. Now another pipeline he's talking about closing down. We are paying record prices for gas. And here is our energy secretary. Listen to the question and her response. I've never heard a response like this from a government official ever. Listen.

In Sturgis, Michigan, it is $2.89 a gallon. I guess that's better than in California. What is the grand home plan to increase oil production in America? Oh, my God, that is hilarious. Wood that I had the magic wand on this, as you know, of course, oil is a global market. It is controlled by a cartel. That cartel is called OPEC, and they made a decision yesterday that they were not going to increase beyond what they were already planning. So people are, by the way, by the way, here she is talking about heating.

Now listen, remember she's laughing at this. Here she is talking about heating. Listen to this. Should Americans in what will likely be a cold winter, most of them are, expect to pay higher prices for heating their homes? Yeah, this is going to happen. It will be more expensive this year than last year. We are in a slightly beneficial position, well, certainly relative to Europe, because their chokehold of natural gas is very significant. They're going to pay five times higher.

but we have the same problem in fuels that the supply chains have, which is that the oil and gas companies are not flipping the switch as quickly as the demand requires. And so that's why the president has been focused on both the immediate term and the long term. Let us get off of the volatility associated with fossil fuels. Okay, stop for a saying. Stu, didn't she say, oh, I wish I had a magic switch or a magic wand? Okay, yeah. She just said that it's not the cartels.

of OPEC, she is now saying that it's the oil companies that aren't flipping the switch. So maybe it's the cartels or was it the American companies? Who was that? No, this is caused by them. That's hilarious. Oh, man. Oh, I wish this government, you know, knew how to, how to reverse engineer what they've done in the last nine months.

Oil independence. But they can't do that. They're being held hostage. No. I can't. It's incredible. I just can't. These guys, they know the truth.

And if they don't know the truth, then they are too damn dumb to run this country. Because honestly, I may not know all the ins and out. of everything with the supply chain, hmm, me caveman. I may not know all of it, but I can figure it out pretty damn quickly.

I don't know all the ins and outs of the border, but I can figure this one out pretty quickly. I don't know all the ins and outs of inflation, but I know when Janet Yellen said this weekend, we're going to need $100 trillion to fight climate, dollars to fight climate control, I think I know enough to go that might not be good for inflation. You don't think.

I don't think. I don't think. These people, they are either, and we should have an investigation into this. Honestly, I mean it. They are either absolutely evil. And they know exactly what they're doing. I would never say that. I'm not a sick.

So we got great gas prices. We can laugh about what people are going to be paying. They'll be paying so much more money for heating their home this winter. Which would be tens of billions of dollars, right? It's something like $16 billion or something like that worth of stock. And he put it up, obviously, as any billionaire would, as a Twitter poll. So people could vote on whether he should sell. the stock or not.

Well, it's all those unrealized gains, you know. Right. So he's got, he owes $15 million, $15, no, $15 billion, $15, I can't remember. I think it's billion. Billion. Billion. Yeah, $15 billion in taxes. But he doesn't pay taxes.

He doesn't pay taxes. Right. We've already learned that. Yeah. It's interesting, though, because this is obviously not the normal way, CEO Axe or a founder of a company, acts. But that's why people love Elon Musk, right? And it's interesting because the culture he is,

providing is incentivizing some interesting behavior and the government is making all of this worse, which is not a, not a shock. And I was thinking about this with crypto, first of all, because Mark Cuban tweeted a poll that came out. I said, 4% of Americans have left their jobs because of crypto gains. Wow. 4%. Millions of people.

Wish I was one of them. No. And he says, shockingly, I think it's 64% of, you know, of. of the people who said they left their jobs because of cryptocurrency gains were making less than $50,000 a year. Okay. Not good planners.

Well, but I was thinking about this as it relates to the government and what we're doing right now. And I think we're creating a really, we're creating a combustible formula here. So if it's true, right, people who are making crypto gains are leaving their job

and they're not making a ton of money right? These are not like, you know, millionaires who are leaving their job for this. These are people who are making, you know, average salary or less. And of course, that makes some sense, right? If you're a millionaire already and you make $100,000 in crypto,

it doesn't change your lifestyle all that much. It's a little bit extra savings. If you are making $25,000 a year, well, then it is going to make it, it's going to change your life in a significant way. And you see all these, like, bizarre cryptocurrencies, the joke cryptocurrencies, all going through the roof

at a time where people are looking, I think, at their situation and saying, well, the government has set a floor here for me, right? If I'm, if I... Hang on just a second. I have a really bad answer to what I think you're driving to. You could stop right now. Or I could give you the historic parallel. And I'm telling you now,

won't like it. Okay. But go ahead if you choose. Okay. Well, quickly then. If the floor is there, the government's going to take care of your basic needs. They're going to be funneling money to you here and there for things that you want and supposedly need.

Giveaways all over the place. When you get a $2,000 check from the government, a stimulus check, are you going to save it? Are you going to go out and even like old school, like go buy an Xbox? Or are you going to put that $2,000? $1,000 in some dog cryptocurrency that may or may not make you a millionaire tomorrow. And eventually, it seems like you're incentivizing people to take wild risks with their money. And the reason why this is connected to Tesla, obviously he's been very connected to the dog

cryptocurrencies, but also the same people who talk about buying very crazy cryptocurrencies, also talk about buying Tesla stock. And even Elon Musk himself has said the Tesla stock is. too high. It's overvalued. So the people who are getting some access to money, why not buy a lottery ticket when you know the floor, which is not that much different from where you are now when you're making $25,000, the floor isn't that far below you. And it's already maintained by the government. And then you throw a few thousand dollars that you might come into into some lottery ticket and maybe you turn into this person who quits their job and never has to think about

working again until that cryptocurrency falls through the floor in two weeks. But then what happens to that person? Are they just a slave to the system? Right. They go back. Well, I mean, they go back to having the government handouts. They go back. They don't lose

their home in this situation. They don't lose access to the things that they want. They might not have a great life, but they didn't have one before. And they argue, well, what's the downside here? When I know where my floor is, I'm already close to that floor anyway, Why would I invest this in something that might be a long-term gain or even go buy something I want?

Why not take the lottery ticket? So you know what's really funny? You know what's really funny is I've said in the past, history doesn't just repeat itself. It is repeating itself. You got about a quarter away into that and I went, oh my gosh. Oh, I think I know where he's going with this. And gosh, history has repeated itself. I'll give that to you.

May we return to this? Probably tomorrow. It's not going to make you happy. It's not going to make you happy. But there's a lesson to be learned because that is a very important thing that you just said. And it's why I've been ringing the bell so hard because it's already happened one other time. I want you to know, you might be getting up today and you might be thinking, what the hell have I done with my life? I mean, I don't really. have a future. I mean, you've taken this. and you've taken the Star Wars mythology and all of the imagery, and you can so easily learn lessons from today and politics and everything else from Star Wars. And they're like, but what about the world?

I guess I think this is this is shooting a little bit too big right out of the gate but yeah you know everything that we face I think particularly like in the West and American society that we see breaking whether it be sort of democratic norms enmity towards our neighbors political polarization these are trends happening all across the world okay so let's take um did you see the did you see the woman I think it was on CNN who said These women in Virginia, they're just disgusting and stupid. I'd like to know how can I connect with them? And I think by not saying the first part of that question is probably the answer. Yeah, something like that. I was actually looking at that this morning. And it's one of those case and points for how when you watch a lot of Star Wars, you see a lot of weird connections that I think other people would not otherwise see.

This woman, Amy Siskind, she said, I join others in being dismayed and disgusted by these women. She's talking about Virginia voters. I don't know how to reach non-college educated white women. The women I can connect with and influence are college-educated white women. I'm open to suggestions, she says. Well, I'm glad. You know, the book, Chapter 1 deals with Star Wars and the virtue of humility, which is this thing, which I think is hard to find. in today's culture, whether it be like Facebook serving us up exactly what we want to see all the

time, Twitter echo chambers and us talking to only our own people. But then I was actually thinking, so what's the Star Wars analogy here? And it actually is Star Wars Episode 1, the Phantom Menace. Everyone's favorite movie. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well received. No, I mean, so there's this great story in there where the planet has been invaded. Let me, wait, let me, may I guess? Yeah, please. Okay. That woman should have never been created. Is that the lesson? That's the lesson I get from episode one. Ah, yes.

Yeah, yeah. That's the kind of enmity. We're trying to wipe away from our society. No, it's all about the Gungans, right? So the Gungens, these incredibly annoying fish hybrids that live on the planet of Nabu. How does Queen Amadala in that movie repel the Trade Federation who have invaded that planet in that movie? She doesn't go to the Gungens and say, I know y'all are fish. I know you're kind of disgusting and you smell bad,

but we've all been invaded by these droid armies. I really would like your help if you can find time from being uncivil scolds. That's not what she does. The woman takes a knee and says, we beg of your help, we respect and the mutual greatness of our societies. We need you in this moment.

That's not a direct quote. But wait, didn't they give birth to Jar Jar Jar Binks? They did, they did. Someone who it's easy to hold contemplations. again the one thing that you learn don't make this episode the subtext of the movie matters a whole lot there's this interesting line when she goes to the gungans for help to get this thing in this moment boss and asked the guy who heads up the gungans i'm not going to say in gungens speak but in the king's english here he says you so no thinking you greater than the gungens i like this maybe we can

be friends he only hated the nabu and queen amadala because he thought the nabu thought they were better than them. And that was why he was willing to let them die in that movie and be ruled by the droids until she expressed that, no, we don't think we're greater than you. We need your help. There's a lesson to be learned in that for all of us, how we are trying to relate to people who we want to join us in coalition and politics. It's all about contempt. Do you remember Anderson Cooper after the January 6th riot, you know, whatever you want to call it, when he mentioned that all the people involved in the Capitol storming event were going to be going back to Olive Garden and the Holiday Inn with this sort of sneer, you know, like, oh, man, these normal people

going to Olive Garden, the greatest restaurant in America with a white tablecloth that normal people go to to feel like they're having a nice dinner with their families and feel good about themselves. I spent the majority of my 20s going to that restaurant because I barely had any money in my bank account and I wanted to take my daughter and my wife to a nice place where someone took our order in a white tablecloth meal. Olive Garden was that place. Yeah. I used to go to Olive Garden all the time until I married an Italian. Right.

Now she won't even let me look at one. I still ask to go every father's day because I want the infinite breadsticks. So can I go back to something you said? What was that quote that you said in the King's English? Could you give that again? Yeah. I mean, so, so boss now says to them, you saw no thinking you're so greater than the Gungens. We so like this.

Maybe we can be friends. So my question is. did anyone think you would have a success in life? You memorized that. I mean, there's got to be somebody in your life that went, son, son. There's something wrong with me. I remember when I first started the Beltway Bantha's podcast, which you, both of you have been a guest on.

And it's great. It is really good. I'm giving you hard time. You're complicit in what has happened to me. Yeah. But I remember my dad gave me a pat on the shoulder of her dinner. He was like, son, don't let this become a distraction. Five years later, it's all I do.

So here we are. Good for you. Sorry, dad. Sorry, dad. So I think of the one quote that I remember from, I don't know, episode one of the first three. this is the way a republicans or this is the way freedom dies something like that

with thunderous applause correct i think of that all the time what what do you look at and say this is this is the star wars story happening right now

yeah so i mean it has to be popular consent for things that take away your freedoms i think my sort of waking up moment as a political person was, of course, the post-9-11 era, the Patriot Act, and the government being willing to just take everything that can get with the popular consent of the people who want to be safe. We all understand that. And we're all looking at the pandemic very much the same way. This is never going to end. They're going to take, take, take, as long as there are people saying, please keep us safe. We never want to be in harm's way. That's real. And I love that line a lot, but one thing that I also go to is in episode two, Padmae and Anakin are having

their little date in the field on Nabu. It's an awful scene. It's horrible. It's really fast forwarding through that. It's really like one of the worst acted scenes in the movie, but it's really important and for this reason. Anakin and Padmae are talking about politics and how it should work. And she says, what kind of system would you like? And Anakin says, I want a system where the politicians sit down and discuss was in the best interest of the people. And then they do it. And she says, well, that's how what we already do. But the trouble is people don't agree. He says, well, they should be made to.

Who's going to make them? You, not me, someone wise. Right there is the totalitarian instinct that a lot of us have. A lot of us have little dormant totalitarian tendencies that we say no to because we believe in liberty. We believe in it despite the things that we want to control. So can you tell me, and this is not honest question. By the way, that's a hundred times more than I took out of that. that scene. Just what you just said. I think it's the most important one. Yeah. I remember once you

said it, I remembered that too. I blocked it from my memory because all of those are so bad. But you know, this is an honest question. Yeah. How can the people who are writing and filming these damn things not understand the point? Because they always think it's about the other people. out there who don't see the world they do. They're always looking at their movies and going, yeah, we love freedom, but those other people don't. We have a special knack for putting masks on people that we don't see the world the same as or who we don't agree with and cartoonizing their points of view.

And in Star Wars, you see this in every single movie, bad guys wearing masks and then heroes who have the task of trying to see past them and know that there is a person under there, whether it be cute boy, Kylo Ren, or Darth Vader. Like, it is the call of heroes to try to rise to the occasion on that, unmask people and treat them like people. So what I got from that is that Fauci is a Sith Lord. It's hard. It is hard not to, yeah. It is hard not to.

And it's kind of one of those things. It's just like when the guy is given sort of the mandate. to rule, keep everybody safe, and you just see no inkling of a possibility that this guy's going to let it go. Like it's going to be the forever pandemic. It's endemic. And what does that mean for the public health establishment that they're always going to be around? You saw what they did last year where they got rid of eviction moratoriums? The CDC getting involved in housing, it's incredibly egregious.

And we cannot just like sit back and applaud that they're going to do this. nobody elected them to do anything like that they're giving away our freedoms step by step eventually we're going to have to accept reasonable risk and get back to life uh the name of the book is uh how the force can fix the world um there is there is one thing that i've always appreciated from you is only one don't push me uh no the the fact that you can take lessons from popular culture because Stu and I were talking about this earlier today. Everything is gone. If it wasn't for podcasts and honestly talk radio and up to a point Fox News, this country would be over

because there would be no opposition to any of it. There'd be no opposition in the mainstream. But we've lost our churches. We've lost our schools. We've lost many of our organizations. The Boy Scouts. are doing, you know, there's a, there's a, for equity and justice, there's now a patch for it. So we've lost everything.

But there are a few stories that still teach truth. And Star Wars is one of them. It's four generations of truth in that story, just the longing for freedom and the tension between wanting order and then wanting to breathe free. That's what the story has always been. And it's something that I'm encouraged by because even when we know that, like, like the left wing, right, medals in popular culture. They meddle in Star Wars, too, just like they meddle in everything.

The message is still kind of always been the same, which is that if you give away too much, you're never going to live free. And there's going to be people who rise together to stop it. And I think some of the details, we get really too hung up on those. And Star Wars is this story that as everything that we share together starts to crumble around us, I'm not suggesting we replace the Bible. But if you come at somebody with like Bible verses first thing, they're not going to be listening to you if they're if they're not a person of faith. But why don't you talk to them about the idea?

I think this is a perfect script. I mean, this this teaches the scriptures just not in script. This is the message. Yoda could be Jesus. I mean, you know, in many ways he teaches exactly the same things. And that chapter I told you about with like humility and just taking a knee before. someone that you need their help. Yeah.

The whole chapter ties the phantom menace to Matthew 18, the idea that we need to be as children if we are to be true followers of Christ. to watch it. Okay. So I, I've seen both of these now and all of obviously Star Wars. I think Dune makes Star Wars look like a cartoon. Right. Right. Yeah. I mean, it's, I mean, it's a very, mature long-form story in a very different kind of way. It's the difference between watching Game of Thrones, I don't know, in an animated series on the Middle Ages. Right. And then I think foundation is even better. I mean, foundation is Isaac Asimov. So you're, I mean, I think it's the root, the first real sci-fi book, isn't it? Yeah, absolutely. It has the deepest history. And it stars that guy who plays Lane Price from Madman. So I've been, I've been dying to watch it. It is, it's, it's amazing how the through lines, like I said earlier, how did these people not see that they are making the movie and they're the bad guys in real life?
