Starting point is 00:02:34 Good driver anticipates as many things that can go wrong as possible and is prepared for them. It's also true of a good car owner. You need to be prepared in case something goes wrong with your car. And when you consider how expensive car repairs are becoming you, think, hmm, you know what? Maintenance. Wow, that's going to cost a lot of money. Maybe some insurance for that, like kind of catastrophic health insurance that you might have.
Starting point is 00:02:59 Get it for your car. When you enroll with Car Shield, you're getting a catastrophic protection plan that starts as low as $100 a month, flexible month-to-month coverage. Your choice of an ASE certified mechanic, 24-7 roadside assistance, complementary towing, rental car options. you also get no long-term contract. Car shield administrators handle all of the paperwork and the repairs. Most important, consider the whole inflation problem.
Starting point is 00:03:26 You get a price lock guarantee. Your price will never go up. No matter how many claims you file, it'll never go up even as mileage on your car increases. I've had car shields on my truck, several of my trucks up at the ranch, and they are just beaters. But I don't want to pay to have them repaired. when they need a big repair. Car Shield 800, 227, 6100, 800,
Starting point is 00:03:51 800, 227, 6100, or go to carshield.com slash Beck. Use promo code Beck and save 20% right now. Okay, so you remember Star Trek, the original series. There's a couple of people that I, if you look at, I know it was just me,
Starting point is 00:04:11 but if you look at the panel, last night on the stage, all of those podiums, and think of them more like a landing party, okay? And they're all beamed down to the surface. And I would believe that a few of them have come from outer space directly to the stage. So they're all beamed down. Whenever they were going to be beamed down to the surface,
Starting point is 00:04:36 there were always these guys that, let me show you, these guys from the landing party. And you'd never seen them before. and as soon as they got into the transporter, you're like, oh, they're going to die by the end of the episode. This will be the last episode they were ever on. Okay? You knew that. But at the center of the transporter always was Kirk and Spock.
Starting point is 00:05:00 And I think we had Kirk and Spock there in the center of the stage playing the role of Captain Kirk was DeSantis. The tough guy was going to get it done. Damn it. damn it, gotta get it done. And then you had Spock. Chris Christie called him Chad GPT.
Starting point is 00:05:21 Chris Christie, by the way, in this particular scenario, is represented by the lava rock guy in the... He was in the episode and he was always... He always kind of sounded like he was in a cardboard tube.
Starting point is 00:05:41 Kirk, does my body heat disturb you? And yes, the answer to that is yes. So he was kind of the villain, the lava rock. Does anyone know this reference other than you and Pat? I've never heard it from anyone else, but I love the episode too now that you've showed it to me, but it's incredible. It's a great, I mean, and it's true. He is, that's Chris Christie. Look at him.
Starting point is 00:06:06 If you're watching on the Blaze TV or just Google him, just to do. Lava Rock Guy original Star Trek series. And it's Chris Christie. Okay. So then you had Mike Pence, who I don't know. Mike Pence might be, who was it? Christopher Pike, the guy who was only on one episode? And they were like, he's going to be, he's Captain Kirk.
Starting point is 00:06:35 And it was the pilot episode. And they're like, not him. Okay. I think that's Mike Penn. he was the guy who was like, he got up there and he was like, no, I'm, I'm Captain Kirk. I'm, I'm gonna, you know, look at me, look at me. He's actually, I have to go to another TV show to describe him. I think he was, I think he was a little MacGyverish last night because he's the only guy I've
Starting point is 00:07:00 ever seen that could take a Bible and the Constitution and fashion those into a noose to hang himself. Just, wow. Now, I've been reading some of the mainstream media reports. I'm told he's one of the big winners from the debate last night. Yeah. That's what they keep sick. And honestly, I will say this, as someone who watched the Iowa situation that we did,
Starting point is 00:07:25 the first candidate form of the season, it was a better performance than that. He couldn't get, yes, Asa. Asa Hutchinson. Yeah, he did. He was a giant siltsch in both of them. But, I mean, Pence was at least aggressive. he was in the middle of the fights. Oh, he was so.
Starting point is 00:07:40 But he's so rough. There's something about his style and, you know, he's the only, I agree with the things he said. You know, we've got to turn back to Christ. We've got to be, you know, a good people. We got to follow the Constitution. But him saying it, I found myself like, ooh, I'm not for that. Yeah. I mean, it was just him saying it.
Starting point is 00:08:00 Well, it's just a, yeah, he has a weird style. Like he had, he's the only one on stage that does the pause. Oh, I hate that. And it's like a, it's like he starts one word and then. pauses for six seconds. Now, of course, it's something that you're sort of famous for broadcasting-wise. Yes. But in a debate, like, well, he would say one word. He would pause, and then Vivek Ramoswamy would slip in like three paragraphs. And you're like, oh, wait, is he still in that first sentence? I know. And when he would pause, see, you can't
Starting point is 00:08:25 have white hair. This is why it's no longer working for me. You can't have white hair after Joe Biden and pause. Say, you know, because everybody's thinking, is he there? I don't know. What's What's happening. Is that Mitch McConnell? Is you having another Mitch McConnell? I mean, it was, every time he paused, I was like, is he going to continue? What happened? It was not good.
Starting point is 00:08:48 Strange. It was not good. Nikki Haley, she's like the nurse on Star Trek, but not, you know, bones always returned. Nikki Haley is the original blonde nurse, who I don't even know her name. She was in many episodes. She was actually, I think Gene Roddenberry's daughter. and they thought she was going to be the big star and she and so they put and she wasn't and so she just kind of drifted off
Starting point is 00:09:15 into the sunset I am told by many of the same publications I just mentioned that she was one of the big winners of the night yeah don't think so I don't think she did herself any harm but I don't think she did you know any any good I mean I thought I legitimately thought her abortion answer was terrible terrible I like Nikki Haley I have nothing against her you know I can you guys figure out who you're going to vote for I'm not your dad you know you know know, but like watching, I thought that was really weak. Well, but the problem with that was, as she was interrupted by Mike Pence, I'm going to stab you with a crucifix right now. And you're
Starting point is 00:09:50 like, what I, I suddenly, I'm for, I don't even know what Nikki is saying, but I'm for her now. I mean, it was. That's interesting. You are Mr. I talk about God in uncomfortable places. No, I know. And even you. And I've had to. It didn't feel real. I talked to a friend of mine, Dan Andrews from Faithwire.com, CBN. And it got. He works for CBNB is Bible. Right. I know it's actually broadcasting, but C is Christian. So this is a person who's very comfortable talking about faith.
Starting point is 00:10:20 He said the same thing. He's like, you know, Steve Dease last night said it too. He's like, I'm like the most Christian guy I know. And it's still, there's something about the way he talks about it that makes you feel uncomfortable. It makes you feel like he's trying to send you a Vulcan mind bell. He's a, he's sending you. you a message, I want you to know, Jesus loves me and I love him. Do you understand? I totally agree with that. Why does this make me feel so strange? I know. I know.
Starting point is 00:10:52 Because it feels like what he's saying is, I love Jesus and I have a direct hotline to him and you don't. You know, but I'm judging you right now. To be a little fair to the mainstream media's take. And this was in some ways my take with Pence. Both Pence and Haley are such non-factors in this race that just getting in the middle of it and mixing it up is probably a positive for them. At least I thought Pence at least had some decent moments. Haley, she had a decent moment against Vivek at one point that people were talking about. But I think like when you are zero, you're kind of a zilch on stage and you could make yourself at least being talked about.
Starting point is 00:11:39 I think there's an argument there to make to say that you had a positive day. Maybe you helped yourself a little bit. With Pence? Yeah, with Pence. I do think that like. I think, because I felt he. What's it? Where's he going?
Starting point is 00:11:50 Yeah. Immediately he felt invisible, I think. He wanted to make sure that he was seen and heard. And so he was good at that. Yeah. But what he said and how it came across was not good. Do you remember, I don't remember the name of the show. It was the cartoon.
Starting point is 00:12:07 in the 60s with Bandit, the little dog bandit. Johnny Quest. You remember Johnny Quest's dad? It's a fascinating series of references on this first model. Okay, so if you look at Johnny Quest's dad. Johnny Quest's dad.
Starting point is 00:12:22 He looked like Mike Pence probably looked in 1960. Yeah, okay, yeah. I'm looking at a picture right now. Yeah, right. Benton C. Quest. Yeah. So if you look at him, that's what Mike Pence looked like
Starting point is 00:12:36 in the 1960s maybe, but he feels like he came right out of the 1960s and then just aged. You know, his hair color changed and he's still that strangely like, I'm a tough guy. You understand? I'm a tough guy,
Starting point is 00:12:54 but I love Jesus. And it was just, it was weird. Yeah, it's just weird. Most of that is stylistic. But it is part of it, and it was strange.
Starting point is 00:13:04 I'm with you on that. Tim Scott was the guy who, you know, he's in the landing party and he's maybe got a line or two. And the first line he speaks, you're like, okay, this is a trick. He's going to die. The second line, you're like, maybe not. Now, no, he doesn't come from the surface. He never returns to the ship. You know, and again, we've had Tim Scott on the show.
Starting point is 00:13:28 I like Tim Scott. I love him. But there's an on-paper argument here for him. and I just don't think he's the candidate that can pull this. Yeah, he's not, he's not the guy that has the, I don't know, gravitas or the connection, I think. He also felt swallowed by the evening. Like, you know, all the other fireworks that were going on, the back and forth.
Starting point is 00:13:56 And then they go to Tim Scott. I'm like, oh my gosh, like, I forgot about Tim. Was he on? Like, he just didn't. There's something about. his delivery. There's a package there that Tim Scott is trying to represent that
Starting point is 00:14:09 could have an impact in this race. His polling isn't terrible. I think people want Tim Scott to be a thing. And it's just, I just don't think he's going to be able to pull that off. Yeah, I want him to be a thing. I like him. I like him too. And he's a good senator and, you know, certainly the best senator of South Carolina. It's not even remotely close.
Starting point is 00:14:27 Why? Is there some other senator from that you might be referring to? There's a good 80 senator gap on the top 100 list. between him and the other one. So, you know, I think that there is an argument to be made that he could, he could be dynamic in this race. But like I just, when I, I feel like when I'm watching it, I'm convincing myself. It's like I had a high draft pick and I'm convincing myself, no, in year three, he's going to,
Starting point is 00:14:50 he's going to develop and he's going to be an MVP caliber player. And I just, he just, I don't think he's going to get there. I think watching Asa Hutchinson age last night was weird. He was almost like Dorian Gray. His skin got a little dark around his nose and blue. Yeah. It was like blood was just, I don't know, rushing to his lips and his upper lip, not his actual lips, but, you know, this thing that's connected to your nose, that part of your lip. And the end of his nose, it got very, very dark and gray.
Starting point is 00:15:21 And then he started to get a little transparent. And I'm like, yeah, I think he's dying. That was weird. It was weird. It's like as if he came from his other job working at a haunted house. Yes. You know? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:31 Yeah. I don't know. It was weird. I felt like he was going to start narrating the middle of a Michael Jackson song at one point. And I couldn't get past on Bermentum. What's his name? Bergen. Bergamum?
Starting point is 00:15:42 Yeah. I couldn't get past every time he came on the screen. I was like, oh my gosh, the eyebrows. Who is that guy? Even though I'd seen him three times every time he came on the screen, I was like, oh, my gosh, the eyebrows. Who is that again? That was fascinating. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:55 He was, wow. Someone said it like a Martin Scorsese eyebrows, which I think kind of worked. He does. And it's, you know, the real. problem is he's not Martin Scorsese. And I don't know what, I mean, you know, I came from a small town. Okay. And what does that mean?
Starting point is 00:16:13 Well, I came from a small town and I still have small town values. But, you know, I keep them with me. Of course you do. You are the governor of the state who has more sheep than people. You haven't. You're still there. I don't know if you know that. There's no town in North Dakota that's big.
Starting point is 00:16:32 it's not like oh but then he moved to the big city I don't know what that is supposed to mean the big city of Fargo right that's kind of yeah I don't I don't know what that's supposed to mean that I'm you know I'm from a small town and I'm really getting sick of I'm from a working class family so is I but what is what is that mean yeah that doesn't define you I mean I thought one the vague I thought to me and we'll get to him I'm sure a little up and down but one line I did like about from him last night was when he said he had the ultimate privilege,
Starting point is 00:17:04 which was having two parents. Yes. That loved him. It was really good. And like that is, that is the defining. You want to talk about class, or inequality.
Starting point is 00:17:13 Yeah. We talk so much about how much money people have. That's the, that is the inequality that we should talk about a lot more. A lot of people who don't have that do start with a disadvantage and live life with a disadvantage. So let me, let me just,
Starting point is 00:17:27 let me just take a quick break. And then we're going to come back and we're going to talk about, uh, uh, desantis and, uh, Vivek because those were the two that I think made the biggest difference last night. Uh, and I think they both had a couple of moments that were not good, uh, but generally did really well last night, both of them. Uh, we'll do that in just a second. First, a good sleep is one of the key ingredients to a successful day. Wouldn't you say, Stu? You had good night's sleep. Oh, my gosh. So luxurious to a couple of hours. Yeah, it was good. Oh, man. When you sleep hard, and fast. Oh, it's good. Yeah. It's good. Anyway, you might want relief factor sleep. You can have
Starting point is 00:18:09 great sleep and you get it without all of the, all of the side effects of, you know, sleep medicine. I just, I hate it. I hate sleep medicine. This is all natural, 100% drug-free, so you don't even feel it. It's kind of like, what's that other thing that you give to your kids sometimes? No, not melatonin. Benetri. No. No, melatonin is what I'm talking about. Melatonin is similar to this, except I think this is better.
Starting point is 00:18:42 My wife and I both take this. She strangely takes it, you know, like every Friday and Saturday night. She's like, oh, man, I am sleepy. Anyway, feel the difference of a great night's sleep. Unleashed the power of great sleep by calling 800 the number four relief. 800 for relief or go to relief factor.com. Dream big and sleep tight. 10 second station ID.
Starting point is 00:19:15 We have all of these great puppets that I cannot believe this audience. Awesome. There's nothing you can challenge this audience with that they don't. Somehow or another, they just don't pull it out. Whether it's saving people in Afghanistan or sending us puppets. Either one they can pull off. They're amazing. They're amazing.
Starting point is 00:19:33 All right. So let's start with Vivek. I think Vivek is the model for the Republicans of the future. Republicans of the future kind of doesn't compute, really. But he is a lot like Donald Trump. And he just says what he means and means what he says. He just says it. And you could tell there was no hesitation on several things.
Starting point is 00:20:03 Like raise your hand if you will pardon Trump. He put his hand up immediately. And he was the only one for a while. And then a few others started to raise their hand. And then DeSantis, whether he was going to raise his hand or not, he, because Vivek was so fast with that, DeSantis kind of looked to the side to see it looked like he was looking at, and I don't think it was.
Starting point is 00:20:28 I don't think it was either. Yeah, but it looked like he was gauging. And then he slowly raised his hand. Like, I don't want to be the only one putting my hand up here. Yeah. Now, he's publicly said he was going to do this basically before an interview. So, you know, he was just rehashing a previous position. He wouldn't need to look around per se.
Starting point is 00:20:46 But so that's what makes me think it wasn't like he was checking the room. But it did look like. I mean, it looked like he was like, oh, my gosh, am I supposed to put my, oh, here, they're all up. Okay, I'll put mine up. That is what it looked like. It did look like that. And then, Chris Christie and everybody else, it just got ugly. However, I don't think that was the question, though.
Starting point is 00:21:03 It was another question. Okay. Okay. Because he was the only one that raised his hand on who would pardon Trump. Everybody else was like, the law is a law. You know, the law is a law. Yeah, that's right. I remember Pence pushing it.
Starting point is 00:21:18 There was that. There was one question where they all raised their hand except for the two sort of moderate slash liberals on there, Christy and ESA. So that's the question I'm thinking of. That was a rough moment. Yeah, rough moment. And I thought he had another bad moment where he said, the only one up here. I'm the only one up here is not bought and paid for. I thought that was... The Ramaswami one. Yeah. I thought that was a bad moment for him. Yeah. You know, it's, and it's also,
Starting point is 00:21:43 let's, can we be honest about it? A total slogan. He was criticizing others for having slogans. Ramoswamy had slogans all night long. I mean, anyway, look like at him all memorized. And, like, it's a dumb slogan. What are you talking about? You're telling me if you win this nomination, you're not going to take donations from people. I mean, obviously he is. He is taking donations now. He is largely self-funded. It's great. Does that really mean? Does that really mean? mean anything, though. What are you talking about? You're talking about people that take political donations are all bought and paid for. I mean, that's just silly. Yeah. I just, that's a point I just hate. I think it's a good point to the audience sometimes. Sometimes it was
Starting point is 00:22:16 pulled off horribly last night. And I think he may have been too brisk for some. I thought he did exactly what he should have done last night and make sure you're in there. He became the focus of it. DeSantis, uh, I just thought was just solid. Yeah. You know, he wasn't... He wasn't the focus of it. He was not the focus of it.
Starting point is 00:22:39 He wasn't fireworks, but he was solid. And I don't think made really any errors. Yeah, no, I don't think he made errors with the exception of the one hand-raising thing, which was weird. Yeah. But other than that, you're right, like, a lot of the reaction from the media is he was terrible. He was invisible. No, he wasn't. Like, I did think that he didn't mix it up as much as maybe they'd want him to, but they were, the campaign was happy that he wasn't the one getting all the
Starting point is 00:23:04 attacks. They were sort of surprised by that going in. They went after Ramoswami and those attacks are going to get bigger now. Remind me to talk about the attacks on Ramoswami that are coming. If you know anything about Mike Lendell, you know that he likes to give back to his customers. And when he gives back, you get a much better night's sleep.
Starting point is 00:23:23 You help support MyPillow and their employees in these tough economic times and just know that it doesn't go unappreciated by him and the people that are making all of the MyPillow products. In the spirit of giving back, Mike wants to give you the six-piece towel set, selling at an amazing low price, but they sell out really, really fast. They'll probably do it again here in the next couple of days. The set comes with two bath, two hand towels, two washcloths.
Starting point is 00:23:51 Typically, they retail for about 80 bucks. For a limited time to celebrate the restock, he's going to have these mark down to $39.99 if he used the promo code back. That's 50% savings. The towels are machine washable, really durable, very, very soft, thick. To find the offer, just go to MyPillow.com, click on the radio listener special square, get 50% off the six-piece towel set. Deal won't last long. Make sure you use the promo code back 800966-3117.
Starting point is 00:24:22 It's MyPillow.com promo code back. BlazTV.com slash Glenn. Great coverage last night. You can still get 25 bucks off your subscription to Blaze TV with a promo code debate. welcome to the Glenn Beck program Pat Gray joins us and I'm also surrounded by puppets because this is an amazing
Starting point is 00:24:49 amazing audience I just want to you happen to be watching us on on Blaze TV let me just share some of these these puppets that are behind me and I feel awkward because they're staring at me
Starting point is 00:25:05 this comes from Andrew Olson and he said Glenn, I dropped all other work projects. I took two days off from my job. And for the past 48 hours, I've worked building these four puppets. Trump, Chris Christie, Chris Christie, Mike Pence, and DeSantis. I wish I had time to build all eight.
Starting point is 00:25:27 But I'm going on vacation. So I could only spend two days. And they are amazing puppets. Yeah, like those are like professional puppeteer type puppets. And then I got this one in from VATES, Valerie Perkins, she said, I'm one of the grandmas you mentioned that can make anything out of anything. She said, I made only, I only had time to make one puppet. Now remember, we asked, I think, on Tuesday for puppets.
Starting point is 00:25:56 This woman knitted Donald Trump. That's really good. That is amazing. Incredible. I got these in, which are amazing. Uh, this is from a woman named, uh, Sally Sawyer, I think. Yeah, Sally. She's an amazing artist. But look at these. These are, these are bagged puppets. Oh, wow. That's Chris Christie. Uh, I, I, I'm not sure who that one. Barack Obama. It might be. Uh, here's, uh, Nikki Haley. Mm-hmm. All right. Uh, uh, in the vague or, I don't know. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe.
Starting point is 00:26:40 I don't know. I don't know. Tim Scott, maybe. Mike Pence clearly. Look at Vivek. Oh, there you go. That's a nice suit. This is Tim Scott.
Starting point is 00:26:53 And then... That's good. Yeah, and then this one is good. This is Mike Pence. Dear Glennbeck, my mom listens to you every morning. I heard about your presidential puppet need. I wanted to send mine. Here's Mike Pence from Barrett in Big Timber,
Starting point is 00:27:08 Monta. Montana. That's awesome. Yeah. He just loves me. Wow. And there's so many more, but we can get into it later. What was the big thing that stood out to you last night, Pat? A couple of things stood out.
Starting point is 00:27:26 Nikki Haley sucks. And so does Mike Pence. Not a fan of either one of them. They're still enmeshed in war mongering. I don't understand it. Have you guys not progressed at all? to say, okay, we've been at war long enough and we've been in enough places around the world and we've policed the planet long enough. Let's stop. And it doesn't really work. It doesn't work.
Starting point is 00:27:50 No, it doesn't work. We've tried it that way for about 150 years and it's not working. Well, we can do it all. We can have the border and fight Canada and Mexico if we want to. Start something in the Congo and we can definitely fight for Ukraine. Let them fight their own battles. Well, I mean, we can do, we could do a lot and still fight Canada. That one I still do it. You're right. That's a good point. It's not a terrible line that Pence brings up from a line perspective.
Starting point is 00:28:24 He's like, we're the greatest country in the world. We should be able to do more than one thing. You have a bad view of our country. Oh, I hated that. First of all, he said it at the Iowa thing. We'd already heard it. But it's the exact same line. But secondly, like, actually our country can't do either of the things one at a time.
Starting point is 00:28:39 No. We can't do any of these things. We can't do the most basic thing in the world that a government's supposed to do. And we're sending them money. We don't have. Yeah. And I thought he also sounded really out of touch when he was going up against Ramoswamy, who was like, look, we are having bad times in America. And we've got to recognize that we're not the America. We once were. And we have to soul search and rediscover who we are.
Starting point is 00:29:04 He said it's not mourning in America. Yeah. And while I get what he's going for there. It felt a little shocking to hear that. It's true. It's true. Everybody knows it. Mike Pence was just like, oh, you're saying the American people are bad?
Starting point is 00:29:18 No, that's not what he said. No. It's not what he said. I will say, though, and this is the thing I did appreciate about the debate last night. Yeah. What you're talking about, Pat, is a serious policy difference in the party. And it's good that they talk those things out. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:32 That was actually some substance, some sort of depth. Yeah. One person who really thinks. this is good. One person who really think this is bad, let them argue it out. That's how this is supposed to work. Okay, so let's reenact because Fox will not, this first time in my career, I've done this 45 years, I think, something like that. And every four years, this broadcast is usually as somebody that has been up all night pulling all the clips. We're not pulling any clips because we can't. And you'll see it on TV. Fox has hidden this debate.
Starting point is 00:30:08 CNN is not really playing any clips, CNBC, MSNBC. No one is playing clips because Fox is, they're saying, we'll sue you three minutes. Why would you do that? And it can't be in your archives. Right. So after a week, you can't play it ever again. Right. So any show that played a single clip.
Starting point is 00:30:27 You have to delete that part of the show. Yeah. It's impossible. And, and, you know, most executives in media are just saying, okay, they're crazy, zero minutes. Don't do any of it. Right. And quickly, as you're putting your puppets on, I would just point out, too, can we spread the blame a little bit for this? Yes, Fox deserves the blame for not spreading these around.
Starting point is 00:30:48 I'm not taking any blame away from them, per se. But I want to add additional blame here to the RNC for allowing this. You're right. Next time you go to Fox, you say you don't get this debate unless people get to see our damn candidates. What was the whole point of this to introduce these people to America? And I understand why Fox wants to steal it all for themselves so that they can have this, oh, it's going to be an exclusive and no one else gets to see it. I get that from a self-interest point at some level.
Starting point is 00:31:14 But like, that's not the self-interest of the R&C. No, you know, here's what you do. What we did when we did the summit, we had the summit. It went all day. It was behind the paywall all day. But you could take. We paid for the broadcast. We paid for the broadcast.
Starting point is 00:31:28 And everything else could be taken. So you saw that, even if you didn't see our broadcast, you saw those clips. Everywhere. Everywhere. And why not? It's only good for you. I know. It's good for Fox for us to play the clips. Hey, here's what happened in the debate on Fox last night.
Starting point is 00:31:44 You know who... It is hard to take you seriously with a pink puppet on your hand. Oh, you like my Nikki Haley puppet? Yeah. War, if you love Vladimir Putin so much, why don't you marry him? You could tell it's Nikki Haley because it's the only feminine pink puppet. Right. Which she, by the way, made sure she pointed.
Starting point is 00:32:04 out to us over and over and over. We got that you're a woman. We can see it. I know half of the country can't notice the differences. Excuse me. How contrived was that one? I hate that. How contrived was the, she, you know, should they be preparing that for a month and sneak
Starting point is 00:32:21 this in when you can? Yeah. That if you want to talk about something, you ask a man. If you want something done. You ask a woman. Like me. All right. Even though I'm a rhino and a warmonger.
Starting point is 00:32:38 What is the audience you're playing to with that line? I don't know. Maybe if you're in the general election, but you think it's going to win people over. But like what? This is a party that's completely aligned against identity politics. And you come out and your big point is I'm, I've got a girly part.
Starting point is 00:32:54 Like, what is that? I don't understand that at all. Again, I don't have a, I don't have anything against Nikki Haley. I just don't understand that. I didn't either to last night. Now I do. She is, you know, out of line with your life. I need to add something to the Constitution of our program.
Starting point is 00:33:09 Sarah, if you'd write this down on the rulebook. I don't want anyone to ever refer to Nikki Haley's girly parts. Wait, that made the Constitution? Is there a method process on this? Wow. No, it's, yeah. That was a great. I had several other words I was going to use.
Starting point is 00:33:24 You should be happy I went that direction. Now, I feel a little weird as I'm holding a puppet on my hand, a Donald Trump puppet. And I'm pointing with Donald Trump's nose to Sarah. But did you guys see the Tucker Carlson interview? I loved it. You did. Did you really? I watched it as well.
Starting point is 00:33:43 I thought it was. I thought it was really good. I thought they were bold genuine. Tucker is very genuine. And bold. Yeah. I mean, for when Chris Wallace came up and Trump said, I don't think that's a friend of yours. And Tucker said, no, no, he's not a friend.
Starting point is 00:34:00 I mean, that's just honesty that you don't normally get. Yeah. And then for him to call him, what was it, he called him a bitchy little man. Wow. I just, I thought it. But that's a brash and bold. Well, I like the part where Tucker said, I mean, why wouldn't they just kill you? And Donald Trump's like, don't.
Starting point is 00:34:28 Was there a tough moment at all for? Trump in there? Did he get a tough question about any of the... It wasn't... No, really hardball stuff. No. I mean, again, I think they are aligned on most policy issues. I wouldn't expect it to be some hit job. But I was sure... I was interested to see if he'd push him on something like, the vaccine or vaccine or something like that. No, he pushed him, believe it or not, to get to that, why aren't they going to put a bullet
Starting point is 00:34:54 in your head question? He pushed him on Epstein. Right, the Epstein. That was really weird. did Trump say he No, Trump said he didn't believe it. But Tucker absolutely said he was killed. He was murdered. And Trump said he was not.
Starting point is 00:35:07 No, not necessarily. He said, I don't know. But I don't think so. I think it could go either way. I got the impression he didn't leave it at all. Yeah, because he was like, I don't think so. I don't know. I just think it was a very sloppy, sloppy situation.
Starting point is 00:35:24 Yeah, that's one way of putting it. He also did talk about Bill Barr on how Bill Barr was a coward and he was afraid of impeachment and that's why he just kowtowed to everybody else. So, you know. Interesting. Yeah, it was. It was better than the debate, I think.
Starting point is 00:35:42 I think Trump was a winner last night. I think that's a very fair piece of analysis because no one, the only person. I liked DeSantis. I liked Vivek. Vague. Like cake. Or, according to my audience, like fake. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:56 There's definitely a lot of pushback on the vague thing. It's a very, he's very polar. polarizing. I don't know why either. I hate him. Yeah. Which is interesting. I don't, you know, again, like we, we come from such a different experience here with
Starting point is 00:36:07 Vivek. Like, we've known him long before he would, yeah. This audience knows him. He was on the show 10 times before he announced he ran for president, probably talking about his books and everything else over the past five years. So like, we know this guy. And I think like the, the American people who watched him were going through, were two different experiences.
Starting point is 00:36:26 People like who were watching the blaze and are informed on this guy. I've heard him talk a million times. I think watched that and we're like, eh, not his best performance. I think he was, like, I think he wasn't his best. He had some, some of those back and forth. I thought he killed it. Did you really?
Starting point is 00:36:39 Yeah, I didn't think so. I don't think anybody killed it. I thought he and the Blaze audience poll, good. Belize audience poll had him at about 60% as the winner. And the next closest was DeSantis like at 37. Part of that, though, I think was that he dominated the stage. I mean, every, they were all firing on him. He was going back.
Starting point is 00:36:56 But some of those, he even seemed. to lose. Like, I thought Chris Christie's, hey, you're repeating Obama's lines was actually a good slam on him. I mean, it was, hey, oh, who's the skinny guy with the funny name? Like, who's the skinny guy with the funny name? Like, what kind of, you know, it works with a puppet. It does work with the puppet.
Starting point is 00:37:16 Yeah, I thought that was a bad exchange. Some of the other stuff I thought he actually sort of lost. And while he was good and he made a big impact, I thought for someone, for people who knew him and like he was really good in Iowa to the point of like he blew the room away. I mean, he owned the room when he was there. With this, I thought he was up and down. I've heard many people say to me, felt a little like, car salesman. I'm giving you a 1999 acura. It was that type of thing, which I've never taken, I've never seen that from him before. I never felt that way before. On the other hand, for people who had no idea, the overwhelming majority of people who had not
Starting point is 00:37:56 paid attention to him and never seen him before, maybe never even heard of him before, I think they got the impression he was the frontrunner. Yeah. Everyone was attacking him. He came off, I think his awareness, his, he was taking a lot of people from zero to 60 last night. Yeah. And that
Starting point is 00:38:12 I think worked really well. I think he had the most impact in the debate last night, moving his position. The only thing that he could have done better, I think, is when Christy was saying, I've had enough of you. I've had it. Well, you've had enough cheeseburgers too. Yes, that doesn't stop you from stuffing But more down your fat face.
Starting point is 00:38:27 But that's not really his style. No. No. No. It's not his style. Right. We invest in a lot of things as we go through life. The gastric bypass was not a good investment for Chris. It didn't work.
Starting point is 00:38:37 It didn't work out. Did he have one? He had one and he lost a ton of weight. Wow. And he's just put it all back on. Wow. It just didn't work out. Oh, boy.
Starting point is 00:38:45 You know, sometimes things. I better not tell you about my gastric bypass that I had. Oh, wow. Is that? Wow. All right. Pack in just a second. In almost all cases, the secret to success in
Starting point is 00:38:55 buying or selling a home is having the right real estate agent. It's not just as simple as having somebody who knows how to find a good home for you that's in your budget or get your home out there at the best possible price. Those things are important. There's so much more to it. The agents we work with at real estate agents I trust take their jobs seriously. This is the Glenn Beck program. There wasn't too much talk about what things are costing you these days. You have to look for ways to protect your finances and it's important to do that, not only to look for the best deals
Starting point is 00:40:27 and pass laws that help the economy, but also just to make sure the stuff that you already have bought sticks around. If you have, or everything, heard of home title theft, you know that it's a massively devastating crime and it hurts so many people, people who can, you know, wind up pulling up their own home one day and see a bulldozer demolishing their homes. This has happened to people because someone steals a home's title, gets it transferred to somebody else and, you know, in a fraud type situation. And then they don't even know. They sell it again. And the new owners, it's not their fault. Like they're coming in thinking they bought this house legitimately. They didn't. Home title lock is there, though, to protect you from this
Starting point is 00:41:03 happening. Home title lock puts a shield around your home's title. The instant they detect activity or tampering, they help shut it down fast. So first things first, you need to verify that you aren't already a victim of home title theft. It takes months. If you don't catch it within those months, your life's going to be upside down. I promise you that. Use the promo code back at checkout. You get 30 risk-free days of protection. It's home titlelock.com. The code is back. And we think about our homes as the place we live, the place we sleep, the place we have dinner every day but it's also your equity your your your finances your your legacy it's all in the line home title lock dot com the code is back welcome to the glenbeck program uh the listeners on the feed
Starting point is 00:41:46 are pointing out uh larry elder wasn't there last night we talked about it uh during the show last night during the debate um i don't know what happened uh but they turned him down i believe he bet his home on the air yesterday that he would be on the debate stage and you're the winner of his home. A brand new home. Congratulations. I did not share his optimism. You get a Larry Elder home and you get a Larry Elder home.
Starting point is 00:42:09 I did not share his optimism about him getting on stage. Though I do think it's possible he could make it in the second debate. My remembrance is right. I get to 2% in these polls now instead of one, which could be difficult for him. But the donor thresholds only 50,000. So that should be easy for every one of these candidates to hit for the second debate. So it's just a matter of the polling. He's got to get lucky in a couple of them.
Starting point is 00:42:35 Hopefully he's at least named in the poll, which is a big key for him. Because when he's not named in the poll, it's difficult for him to get 2% of the vote. Yeah. Yeah, it's a little weird. He's got a chance to get on stage at least. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:46 So we're going to talk next hour to Selina Zito about what she was sensing last night and talking to people. Also, we have Jack Posobic, on with us. He is a podcast host and a host of human events with Jack Basobic. He's going to talk to us about President Trump. The Glenn Beck program. Let me tell you about Mantis X. I'm a pretty good shot, but it doesn't come naturally. It's a perishable skill. And if you're not shooting all the time, you lose that skill. I hadn't been to a range maybe a year and a half, but I had gotten the Mantis X to be able to dry fire.
Starting point is 00:43:30 I just, I have a hard time spending that much money on bullets and then not having them. So I got Manus X. Manus X used by Marines. That's how I found out about it. And you attach something at the barrel of your gun and you start to fire it and it shows you, it charts exactly what's happening with the gun, how you're holding it. If you're pulling it down, pulling it to the side, pulling it up. it shows you and shows you how to correct it.
Starting point is 00:43:59 And 94% of the shooters improve within 20 minutes, and I was one of them. When I went up to shoot live fire this summer up at the ranch, I couldn't believe. I think I shot like 20 bullets, 20 rounds, and I only missed two. And that's remarkable for not shooting at a firing range for that long. Start improving today.
Starting point is 00:44:22 Get yours now. MantisX.com. Save a box. but load of money. MantisX.com. There's something else here now. Something new. From exclusively on Paramount Plus, it's the series Stephen King calls Scariery as Hell. Everything here is impossible, but it's also real.
Starting point is 00:44:45 Sci-fi vision calls it the best show streaming right now. We're running out of time and we still don't know the rules. Don't miss what the movie blog calls something you need to watch. Saving those children is how we all go home. from binge all episodes exclusively on Paramount Plus. What you're about to hear is the fusion of entertainment and enlightenment. This is the Glenn Beck Program. Welcome to the Glenn Beck Program.
Starting point is 00:45:50 We're glad you're here. Did anybody win that debate last night? Or was the big winner really Donald Trump? Because it was viewed really kind of like, okay, who's number two? Because number one wasn't there. Who's running either for vice president or going to run for the big showdown with the big man if they can even get to that point? I thought that's what happened. And then Tucker Carlson throws a curveball yesterday and says, oh, by the way, I've got an interview with Donald Trump.
Starting point is 00:46:26 110 million views as of this morning. 110 million views. That's a lot more, probably about 10 or 11 times more than what Fox News had, for sure. So who won? Did this hurt Donald Trump? And he is going in to surrender himself at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta. He's going to be on with us tomorrow, but Jack Posobic is with us now. He is the host of human events.
Starting point is 00:47:00 and a Trump supporter, and he'll have a good look at what happened yesterday, the Tucker Carlson interview, and what he's going through today. We joined with Jack in 60 seconds. Have you ever been doing the fight against the heat this summer? If you have had the kind of summer that we've had here in Texas, oh my gosh, it's hot. We've saved a lot of money by having blinds. the windows and we'll save a ton of money by having blinds on the windows in the winter as well
Starting point is 00:47:35 you can cut the heating bill and the air conditioning bill like crazy now if you want to do it all yourself you can you want to pick out the blinds yourself you know what you're looking for you can't blinds.com they also for free have a designer that you can talk to that will help you they actually have helped me save money uh on the blinds that i was looking at i was arguing no no i like this one and she's like I'm telling you, I'm going to send you both so you can see, but I think the other one is better and it's cheaper. Ah, yeah, you're, what a, she was right. Blinds.com covered over 25 million windows.
Starting point is 00:48:12 Blinds.com, 100% satisfaction guarantee. Why not beat the heat this summer and lower your electric bill at the same time? Go to blinds.com. Blines.com save up to 40% right now. Rules and restrictions may apply. Jack, what did you think, first of all, about the debate last night. Well, Glenn, I watched the debate last night, and I thought it was interesting.
Starting point is 00:48:38 I thought a lot of the candidates did well. I think some of the sub-tier candidates were largely not present. I think some candidates phoned it in, but really, the biggest standout for me was how can we be in a situation where the frontrunner for the opposition in this party is about to be arrested for the fourth time in a row? The next day, which is today, and they're up there, they're talking about planning a Sunday brunch in the middle of a Cat 5 hurricane. This was ridiculous to me, and I think the fact that it didn't dominate the discussion actually a disservice to the people, because you would hear these candidates saying, oh, I'll fight back, I'll fight back. You know, everyone says that.
Starting point is 00:49:25 What are you actually going to do? Walk us through your steps to fix the situation that we're in because it's gone the last time I came on here. I said that we are going through the fourth turning. Look what's happening over in Russia. They're assassinating the opposition, these rebels who try to come out on Putin, and down in South Africa. Saudi Arabia just joined bricks. They've just announced they're joining bricks today.
Starting point is 00:49:46 This is going on. We have a regime that's locking up political opponents at home. And I feel like these guys are debating like it's still the 1980s. Yeah, I felt a lot of them were debating like the 1980s. I also thought it was interesting how few of them said if he's, arrested if they were going to, if they would still honor their pledge if he became the nominee. And very few of them would be willing to raise their hand. Only Vivek Ramoswamy raised his hand when he said, I'd pardon him because, you know,
Starting point is 00:50:19 we're going to move on from this. And if he's convicted, this whole thing is a sham, I'd pardon him. And others didn't say that. I think this is remarkable coming from the Republicans. I think so. And also, that was a moment where there was a quick moment. But even for the DeSantis supporters out there, take a look at that because that Ron DeSantis, looking around to see how other people reacted to the question before he decided to raise
Starting point is 00:50:51 his hand, whether you want to call it fair or not, whether you want to call it a CNN gotcha-style question, I do agree that it was a gotcha-style question. however comma, that's the kind of stuff that leaves an indelible mark. Because when you have one candidate showing a decisive answer, another candidate who seems like he's hedging, like he's hesitating, like he's looking around to see what other people are doing, that's the kind of thing that a sort of, you know, like a low propensity, low impact, you know, someone who's not paying attention to the news on a day-to-day news cycle, they're going to remember that.
Starting point is 00:51:25 That's the kind of stuff that is very sticky, those moments. are incredibly sticky, and I do think that will stick with the governor. So I think the problem with the Trump topics last night, I don't want to, at this point, dwell on the 2020 election. However, that being said, we do have to have a strong accounting, which the Republicans were the only ones that could do it, and they didn't really do it in any state. they didn't push to make sure that we're correcting all of the mistakes from the past or even finding the answers. So you've kind of blown that one because now do we trust the next one or not? And I think just as important is what is happening to Donald Trump.
Starting point is 00:52:12 There's no way any of this would be happening if Donald Trump decided not to run. But he's decided to run. and so they are going to put him in jail come hell or high water. And for the Republicans on stage last night and in Congress right now, for them not to be raising holy hell and cutting the budget of the FBI and the Justice Department until they stand up and give real answers and we get to the bottom of this, it's shameful. And you don't have to be a Trump supporter to believe that. every American should believe that.
Starting point is 00:52:51 Every American should be saying, wait a minute, no, what is happening here? And we want real answers. And you've been stonewalling on all of these things. You don't get a dime from us. And for the Republicans who control the House, which controls the purse strings, has got to be more than frustrating for Donald Trump and should be frustrating for every American. That's exactly right. And I think Fox News, quite frankly, did a huge deal.
Starting point is 00:53:19 disservice to the country by not making that front and center. Now, I can I can understand if they're guilty and the fact that he didn't show up and they're upset about this, get over it, right? If you're going to conduct a debate for the benefit of the American people, then you have to get over the Murdoch family's financial and political standing and actually show that you can be a forum for all Americans. And the fact of the matter remains that there are tens of millions of Americans that support Trump. And there's also tens of the millions of Americans that support a fair process, that do not want to see a process where you've got prosecutors bringing these ridiculous indictments, novel legal theories going after opponents. No, this is not what we do in the United States.
Starting point is 00:54:05 We handle this at the ballot box. That's how we've always done things in the United States. And for Fox News to barely ask questions about it, to barely ask questions about election integrity, to barely bring up how we're going to conduct the election in 2024, which I don't think I heard any candidate really talk about this, ballot harvesting, drop boxes, any of these things. Because the Republicans aren't doing it. Geotracking. The Republicans aren't doing anything about it. I mean, it is, I mean, they're just, it is like they are determined to lose.
Starting point is 00:54:40 Well, that's, that's perhaps a more, a more sinister plan afoot there. and I certainly could understand why people may think that because you need to be putting, look, if you're going to be one of these mules that's coming up in the 2024 election, guess what? You need to hear someone on stage. I would love to hear one of these candidates. I mean, Trump hasn't even said this. Say, I will institute real-time geotracking against every single drop box that's in any one of the target cities, Milwaukee, Phoenix, Maricopa County, and then Atlanta, Fulton County, real-time geotracking.
Starting point is 00:55:15 that if your phone is near there, and we know these mules are all going to be tracked, because that's how they have to check in with their 501c3s and the Zuckerbox and the C4s. Guess what? Real-time geo-tracking. We're going to be following you as you go in and out. We're going to have James O'Keefe in an army of cameraman and hidden cameras, maybe even drone cameras, all over the place. Where's any discussion of this? Because the way that Joe Biden was installed as president was through tactics. We're focused on strategy. We're focused on this, this big vision, how things are going to happen when we get into office.
Starting point is 00:55:46 Great. But you have to actually prove that Democrats understand they can't win on strategy. They can't win on their political messaging. They fail every time. How did they win? They want on tactics. They changed fundamentally the way that elections are held in this country. They change us from a system of voting on election day to a system whereby in who collects the most ballots is able to install their own president.
Starting point is 00:56:08 And Republicans have not woken up to that new reality. I don't see how they win any election going forward. So, Jack, what do you think of, I mean, Trump is going to turn himself in today. You know, there's this meme that's going around of all of the lawyers, Donald Trump's attorneys and their mugshot in Atlanta. And it is, it's despicable. I mean, where is John Adams? Where's the spirit of John Adams? Wait, we're now arresting attorneys?
Starting point is 00:56:42 Are you kidding me? So he's going in today. One of the thoughts that we had last night was his attorneys must be happy that he wasn't at the debate stage yesterday because anything he says can be used against him now in a court of law, and they'll use anything against him. How is this going to play with him going down and having a mugshot? You know, I think this is going to be the mugshot. that's heard around the world.
Starting point is 00:57:13 You know, I think they said that the most, the mugshot that has the most sales in terms of t-shirts and, and other merchandise is Bob Dylan, Elvis Presley's got one out there. I think this is going to be the number one best-selling mugshot in American history when this thing comes up. Because remember, and I say this for educational purposes only, but mugshots are a government document, a public document, which means they cannot be copyrighted.
Starting point is 00:57:40 I say this for educational purposes. only. But in all seriousness, we know Americans, we love an underdog story. Americans are this story of rebels, the story of people who left behind the old world and were willing to break rules to make something new. We've all have this, we have this in our DNA because we're all descended from people who left the old world and came here. That is indelible to the American character, to your point with John Adams. We are the people that decided that to create something new and provide a new vision, we've had to break a few rules along the way. You can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs. I think this is absolutely going to backfire on them. I think it will
Starting point is 00:58:22 be seen not only just by Trump supporters, but by independents, maybe even people on the left, RFK supporters, the former Bernie Bros, etc. This is too far. It's just too far. It's too far. It's too much. It's completely unprecedented. And to see a president of the United States, regardless of if it's Donald Trump or not. This will be something that goes that. Glenn, this is a historic day. This is an absolutely historic day. A president of the United States fingerprinted, mugshot it for the entire world to see. I think the backlash will be swift and it will be deafening. I want to play something for you and then I'm going to break for a minute and get your take on it. This is Tucker with Trump last night. Cut four.
Starting point is 00:59:06 I'm looking at the trajectory since 2015 when you got into politics, you know, for real. And then one, it started with protests against you, massive protests, organized protests by the left. And then it moved to impeachment twice. Right. And now indictment. I mean, the next stage is violence. Are you worried that they're going to try and kill you? Why wouldn't they try and kill you, honestly?
Starting point is 00:59:32 They're savage animals. They are people that are sick. really sick. You have great people in the Democrat Party. You have great people that are Democrats. Most of the people in our country are fantastic, and I'm representing everybody. I'm not just Republicans are conservative. I represent everybody, I'm the president of everybody. But I've seen what they do. I've seen the lengths that they go to when they make up the Russia, Russia, Russia, when that's exposed and they go down and Barr should have gone after them and other people should have gone after. And they did very late because the Durham report came out. It was fairly good.
Starting point is 01:00:06 It could have been a lot tougher, I guess, but it was fairly good. So the question, even being asked, a serious question, why wouldn't they just kill you to a former president of the United States really speaks volumes of where we're at? Jack, what I want to know from you in a minute is what happens if he actually goes to jail in one minute? man's best friend comes along with his own set of health issues and needs. It's not enough just to throw some dry kibble in a bowl. Your dog needs nutrients and the kind of stuff that gets cooked out of the kibble food. I started giving Uno Rough Greens a couple of years ago, and it fundamentally changed him. It really did.
Starting point is 01:00:53 He became younger like a puppy. I thought he was healthy. And then we started feeding rough greens, putting that on top of the kibble food. And he really did. he gained like five years. I really believe they added years to his life. Rough Greens. It's not a dog food.
Starting point is 01:01:08 It's a supplement developed by naturopathic Dr. Dennis Black. You sprinkle it on the dog's food. And if it's healthy for your dog, it's most likely in Rough Greens. My vet loved it when I showed her. I said, can we, what do you think of this? Can we put this on his food? And she was like, if he'll eat this, yes. It's great.
Starting point is 01:01:26 Roughgreens.com slash Beck or call 833 Glenn 33. they'll give you the first trial bag for free. All you pay for is shipping. 833, G-L-E-N-N-33, 833, G-L-E-N-N-33, Roughgreens.com slash Beck. 10-second station ID. So what did you think of that question? And what happens, Jack, if we see this president actually go to jail?
Starting point is 01:02:05 Look, Glenn, they're talking about putting this guy, this avatar. the voice of the people, the voice of tens of millions of people that have been crying out the same people that just turned Richmond, North of Richmond, into the number one song, it's on Billboard, it's on iTunes, et cetera. These people are angry. These people are very, very upset. And if you take away this Trump as not just a person, but the symbol of what Trump represents, this ability to fight back, this ability of somebody from, you know, who sort of was part of that ruling class that came down and said, you know what, everything, everything that you believe that's going on behind those closed doors, it's 10 times worse. And how do I know because I was in on it? But you know what?
Starting point is 01:02:51 I want to do something for you. That's why people support Trump. That's it. It's as simple as that. And if they go to strip him from the ballot, as they've already publicly said, hundreds of times at this point, they want to strip him from the ballot in all 50 states. Gavin Newsom has already taken steps to do so in California, which would obviously set up a constitutional crisis. They're talking about putting him in jail and I talked about this on human events the other day. I think it would blow this country apart, Glenn. I really do think it would blow this country apart. If Donald Trump did the Martin Luther King or Gandhi approach and said,
Starting point is 01:03:24 you can be out in the streets, but I want you to be peaceful and peaceful vigils, if it was spun that way, he could change the world and change America in a positive direction. I don't know how many FBI Psiops and everything else would happen at the same time to cause the violence. But they desperately need the violence. And if he played it completely differently than what they would expect, it could change things rapidly. But if we don't have that spirit among us, you're right, as he said last night.
Starting point is 01:04:06 It's a very dangerous thing what's happening right now. And you don't want to see when you put, you know, anger and frustration and hunger and all of this out onto the streets. It's not a good thing. No, go ahead. Go ahead. We're hurtling towards a – America is parallel to the Weimar Republic right now. As you and I focused up the last time I was on, you look at where credit card debt is the highest in American history at a trillion dollars. topping a trillion dollars, mortgages guarding through the roof, interest rates going up like crazy.
Starting point is 01:04:39 When the people get hungry, the people get angry. And I think you're right. I would love to see this call for a peaceful, nonviolent response, sing the Oliver Anthony songs, hold prayer vigils, hold prayer sit-ins, et cetera. But at the same time, Glenn, we know that the FBI, the operations, inciting riots, It's the same way they did on January 6th to prevent hearing of a debate in January 6, which is the entire point of why people were traveling to D.C. It was to hear this debate within the well of the Senate that never took place.
Starting point is 01:05:15 I think you would see all of that and more. Syops on Syops, on Syops, all of which would be blamed on Trump, which you blamed on the American people, probably blamed on Russia and a bevy of other foreign actors. And they would use it to start throwing all the leaders of this movement. into the gulag right next to Trump. Yeah, I agree with you. But that's what they did to Martin Luther King as well.
Starting point is 01:05:40 And in the end, he won. He wasn't around to see it, but he did win. Thank you so much, Jack. I appreciate it. Thanks for your counsel on this. Tomorrow, I believe Donald Trump has agreed to come on tomorrow on the program. We just want to talk to him about this historic day of President of the United States being fingerprinted and a mugshot.
Starting point is 01:06:07 And they seem to be doing it with glee. Oh, well, of course, right? No, the sheriff's department, though. I mean, yeah, but that particular area, it's not a huge surprise. And, you know, they could obviously not do this if they wanted to. But they love every bit of it. They love every bit of releasing the mugshot. I mean, look, you know, they did it with Giuliani's.
Starting point is 01:06:28 I saw him come out the other day. It's kind of a pathetic thing. It's very pathetic. Very pathetic. The Glenn Back program. Parallel economy is about two things. Value and values. I prefer doing business with companies who are bringing both to the table.
Starting point is 01:06:44 They're a company that does this better than most that I know of is good ranchers. They're already a company that sources beef, chicken, seafood, pork 100% from American farms and ranches. But for the extra value, try this on for size. when you subscribe to any of their monthly meat boxes, you're going to get two years of free ground beef. That's 144 meals you don't have to pay for. Now, an extra on all of those values, since Good Ranchers spends their own money to provide 10 meals per box that you order to Americans in need, that means they give out 240 meals over the course of your subscription. That's the spirit of the parallel economy.
Starting point is 01:07:27 That's the spirit of America. and Good Ranchers. Go to Good Ranchers.com. Use the promo code Beck. $30 off any box. You get two years of free ground beef with your order. Serious good stuff from Good Ranchers.com promo code Beck. Good Ranchers.com promo code Beck.
Starting point is 01:07:50 BlazTV.com slash Glenn. Use the promo code debate. And right now you can save 25 bucks off your one-year subscription to Blaze TV. Welcome to the Glenn Beck program. There's a couple of things that I. I need to address. My producers, I was sketching last night as I was listening to the debate, and it became a thing on the debate,
Starting point is 01:08:21 and more people were asking about the sketches, I guess, than paying attention to the debate. My producers suggested we just give those away. I mean, they're worth what you'll pay for them, which is zero. But there's, you know, there's a couple of things in there that are kind of cool. They suggest they would like to do a contest of if you were going to name last night's debate a movie, what would it be like dumb and dumber? What would the movie be, the movie title for it? If you are a subscriber, all you have to do is just put it in the chat as you're watching and we'll select some at the end.
Starting point is 01:09:05 And then we'll reach out to you and send you one of the sketches, kind of a course. room sketch, really, of what was happening on stage last night. We have Selena Zito with us now. Selena, where did you watch the debate last night? In a bar. In a bar, okay. All right, not because of the alcoholism. I think that's under control. But you, I wanted you on today because you are, you're an observer of people and you have called the last couple of elections exactly. And these, we're entering really difficult times. How did the people react last night to the debate? You know, people were really excited.
Starting point is 01:09:54 And I think that, and not I think, is that there conversations with them during and after. sort of watching their reactions is that they understand that this next generation of conservative populists because that's basically what was on the stage, right? This new formation of the Republican Party, which is conservative populism, they felt that they had a grasp of important policy issues. They were each to a degree in a different direction, but basically in the same line with them. And people were really excited last night because they got to see people most had governing experience,
Starting point is 01:10:47 but also had a willingness to punch back and not take it in the same way that perhaps they met Romney would handle being attacked. Right. How is Mike Pence received? With respect. You know, people, whether, you know, he was nowhere on the chart for anyone's pick. Yeah. However, there is a deep respect for Mike Pence. People look at him as a man who has served this country and did a good job while he did it.
Starting point is 01:11:25 and believed, even whether they still loved Trump or didn't, believed he did what he was supposed to do on January 6th, no matter how hard that decision was, no matter how much pressure that he faced. They believed doing the right thing is not always easy, but something you have a duty to do. But he was perceived last night as just not a factor, though, in this election. No, no, I wouldn't say that he was a factor in terms of a choice.
Starting point is 01:12:01 Right. However, I think what he had to say was important. And, you know, there are a lot of conservatives that are concerned about saying out loud, how they felt about what happened on January 6th in either direction, whether they thought that it was important, whether they thought it was overblown. No matter what you say about January 6th, if you're conservative, you are going to get bashed. So they thought that Pence at that moment maybe spoke on both sides of it in a way that was comforting to them. So there is, I think there were maybe definitely two, but maybe.
Starting point is 01:12:51 three players, if you put Nikki Haley in there, that made some ground. So tell me about Nikki Haley, Vivek, Ramoswamy, and DeSantis. What was the reaction? Those three, when I walked out of that bar, those were the three that people really liked. What they liked about Haley and what they liked about DeSantis is that the proven track record, of good governing, right? Governing as conservatives. That's important.
Starting point is 01:13:27 They also punch back. They like that. They may not always agree with what they punch back with, but they liked that they aren't milk toast, that they aren't, you know, they are the same people that would stand up for a Supreme Court nominee in the way that Trump did when his Supreme Court nominees were under attack, right? Yes.
Starting point is 01:13:50 They would look at them as those two as as being capable and competent to do that, but also fiery enough. And in terms of Ramoswamy, well, he, you know, I was the first person. I'm the one that actually broke the news that he was running. I sat down with him in his home in Columbus, Ohio, and interviewed him the day before he announced. And so he was, but he still had only been sound bites, right? People didn't see him interact. People didn't see, you know, what he was all about. And they got a taste of it.
Starting point is 01:14:33 And it was a pretty divided room on, on some of the things that he said. They liked his, his aspirational ideas. They liked his. youth. They liked his willingness to punch back against the establishment of both parties, but they're not quite sure totally on substance, and not that he's not substantive, but on all things, they're not sure yet if he has the maturity to be, or either that the wisdom to surround himself with people that would make him good. at the job of being president.
Starting point is 01:15:21 Because when you're president, you know, Reagan was a perfect example of this. The things that you are weak at, you have to make sure you surround yourself with competent people that can help guide you, not tell you what to do, but guide you out of dangerous territories. So who was the big winner last night?
Starting point is 01:15:44 I think Republicans were. I think they have. had, you know, that, and this is based on watching people. Everyone that left that event was very happy. Everyone that left that or that bar was happy. And for anyone who thinks that conservatism is dying or the Republican Party was dying, this was mostly young people. And these were people, you know, that are professionals that are, you know,
Starting point is 01:16:17 in their mid-30s, in their mid-40s, which I now consider young, and just were very excited about their choices. Yeah. I think the important thing to remember is that voter, we tend to forget that voters rarely, whether it's in politics or in their personal lives, look in the rear view mirror. They always look forward.
Starting point is 01:16:51 Just think about the problems that you face in life. If you stay stuck in the past, you tend to not be successful. You tend to not be able to move on in your personal life. Whatever the issue is. But people that are aspirational tend to move forward. And so while everyone that was there voted for Trump, they're not as glued to it as you as you what you sort of hear about in the national news, right? The national news has a narrative, blah, blah, blah.
Starting point is 01:17:27 But I think this is a very open race. It doesn't mean that Trump's not going to win it. But I also think that we should pay attention to everyone. So I agree with you. but strangely because I think Trump, when he was talking to Tucker, there was a point towards the beginning where they were just talking about, you know, 2020 and the election results and all of that. And I thought that that's not, if we focus on that, and it's important to figure out exactly
Starting point is 01:18:03 what happened and make sure that we correct those things. But that's what the GOP should be doing right now. but if we are if we are being dragged back then we we lose the future of of the country and that is that's right but everybody is very very loyal to Donald Trump
Starting point is 01:18:24 I'm loyal to Donald Trump for what he's going through he doesn't have to go through this he's going in today to to get a mugshot and fingerprint I mean this is historic what they're doing to this guy Do the people that support him, will they even consider somebody else? Yeah, they will. It's a really interesting nuance.
Starting point is 01:18:51 And again, I don't mean to come across and saying that I don't think Trump will win. Yeah. I'm not trying to give that impression, but I think it's important to understand that voters can be willing to just be extremely outraged at what Trump is going through, be extremely happy with the policies that he set forward, and still not want him to be the nominee. There is a portion of that, and I think it's important to pay attention to those voices. And I think part of the challenge that Trump,
Starting point is 01:19:37 right now and and this is really to your point and I'm so glad that you made this is to not constantly talk about 2020 we have to remember we have to remember the 2020 was probably the worst year for in everyone's lives if they didn't lose a loved one or a friend or a co-worker or a childhood friend or and or their profession wasn't dramatically changed Or their job or their business. Their job or their business. Or their children haven't fallen behind or their finances haven't taken a hit.
Starting point is 01:20:16 Relitigating that race. And by the way, that race was just absolutely horrible. Relitigating that race means that we are forcing people to relive 2020. And that is his challenge. he one of Donald Trump's greatest gifts in 2016 was his aspiration
Starting point is 01:20:42 yes right people missed reporters missed what make America great again meant it meant being part of something bigger than themselves the reporters called it
Starting point is 01:20:57 nationalistic race it bigoted whatever you know just add an ist at the name of the end of a word and that's what they called it What they missed was that it was aspirational. So he was always talking about going forward, going forward, going forward together. And his problem right now is that he can talk too much about 2020. And he talks too much about himself.
Starting point is 01:21:25 That is the challenge that he faces. Yeah. And that's a tough challenge. I mean, especially when they are trying to put you in jail. That's really hard. I completely agree. agree with you. That is what voters told me. Thank you so much. I appreciate it. We'll talk again soon. All right. Good to talk to you. Yes. Sounds great. All right. It is sad to think that there are people out

And moms recognize this when they have a free ultrasound and they see the baby and hear the heartbeat. and see that it has arms and legs and hands and fingers and toes. It's an amazing thing.

Starting point is 01:23:30 lines for about 30 minutes here at 888727 BECK. I'd like to hear your thoughts on the debate last night and the Tucker interview. If you watched both of those especially I'd like to hear from you. And what your thoughts on the whole thing, all the way from Fox News not allowing any clips to be shown three minutes total per week. And it can't, it has to be deleted from all files if you air it. It's crazy. It is truly crazy. Nobody is covering the debate. And I can't figure out why they would do that.
Starting point is 01:24:11 It's not good for their business. It's not good for the Republican Party. I mean, it's bad all the way around. Really bad for the Republican Party. The whole point of having these debates is to introduce people. Your candidates available to a wide audience so they understand their views. And then to give this to Fox and allow them to do this,
Starting point is 01:24:31 I really do put a lot of the blame on the RNC here. You need to catch that beforehand and say, no, this needs to be widely distributed. You can air it. Everyone's going to watch it live on your air. Everyone's going to go to you for coverage, of course, pre-game, post-game. I mean, a lot of people came into the Blaze 2,
Starting point is 01:24:45 but a lot of people went to Fox News. You get that benefit. You know, I can understand you're saying, you can't air the entire debate on another channel. Of course, they have that protection. But clips, especially the next few weeks. I mean, they're acting like they're the Oscars here. The Grammys and banning clips, banning people from airing clips.
Starting point is 01:25:04 Except this is something that's not like the Oscars of the Graham. This means something. Yeah, it should. It means something. And if it doesn't mean something to Fox, man, that tells you something about Fox, doesn't it? Yeah. the Glenn Beck program.
Starting point is 01:25:17 Let me tell you about rough greens. You always try to do the right thing for your dog because you love him or her, and it's a special bond between our dogs. I don't understand the bond with cats, but I'm here to talk to you about rough greens, which is for dogs. And all you do is you take a little bit of rough greens,
Starting point is 01:25:39 just a little cup of it, and you put it on your dog's dry kibble food or whatever they eat, and dogs, all the dogs that I know, they go crazy for it and love it. And it has vitamins, minerals, probiotics, antioxidants, you name it. It's healthy for your dog. It's probably in Rough Greens. My vet loved the fact that we were feeding Udo. She said, if you can get him to eat this, it's fantastic.
Starting point is 01:26:04 Well, he loves it. Wolfs his food down now, where he didn't before. Rough Greens, RUFF Greens.com slash Beck or call 833 Glenn 33. That's 833 Glenn 33, roughgreens.com slash back. I'm going to take some of your thoughts and phone calls here in just a minute and a little bit more as we get ready for Donald Trump surrendering at Fulton County Jail. Biennue at Bia Rai. Embarked and profite.
Starting point is 01:26:36 Embarked and celebrate. Rigolet. Publié. Savouring. Admirate and profite. Via Rai. on them. The Glenn Beck Program. It's an amazing day in America, but when you have the former President of the United States being booked at Fulton County Jail, and you have, what, nine of his
Starting point is 01:27:44 attorneys also being booked, we're now prosecuting not only our rival, but we're also now prosecuting, prosecuting attorneys? I mean, I never thought I would live to see the day that this was going on in America, but it is. And we also are looking towards the future. The debate last night, I'd love to hear your comments on it at 8887-27-B-E-C-K, see what you had to, what you felt about the performance of all of the candidates last night. We'll do that in 60 seconds. Listen, I don't know if the zombies are coming or not, but, you know,
Starting point is 01:28:26 I've always thought they didn't exist, but I also didn't see. attorneys and a former president going to jail either. So either way, it's zombies or just, you know, the fact of life that we have runaway inflation. The fact is we're living in unprecedented times right now and they're going to get worse before they get better. In these turbulent times, having something solid, something real is a real lifeline and you can trust Goldline to always bring something special to the table. And this is no exception.
Starting point is 01:28:57 Here is the deal of the week. American Eagles are really in demand. They almost never make it to the specials, but this time Goldline is making an exception. When you buy a full tube, that's 50 coins of the 110 ounce American Eagle gold coin, they'll throw in 10 of the one ounce American Eagle silver coins for free. Heads up, it doesn't apply to IRA orders, but the coins are flying off the shelves as they always do.
Starting point is 01:29:26 Get them while they last. Goldline, a beacon for those seeking. stability. They get it. So should you do your own homework and find out of gold or silver is right for you. Goldline.com 866 Goldline. So, Stu, I think the Fox News has done a great disservice for America as I am watching the news on CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, and Fox News. So I'm watching the four real networks and nobody's really covering the debates. They're talking about it, but nobody's playing any of the clips. This is such a disservice to the republic, such a disservice to the Republicans.
Starting point is 01:30:12 And it's it is Fox's decision, but it's the GOP's fault for allowing them to do it. You should have said, no, no. You don't get the debate unless you meet terms that meet both of our goals, right? You guys get something out of having the exclusive. of that night, and then it becomes part of the news cycle. Correct. That's how these things seemingly have always worked. And so there are a lot of places, radio, television, internet especially, you can't play them.
Starting point is 01:30:43 You can't play any of these clips. Or Fox has said, they will come after you and sue you. It's ridiculous and is real disservice to the nation and to the GOP because it was, It was quite good last night. And I think you showed... I came away hopeful. Usually I watched these debates and I'm like, oh, shut up. And I didn't get there.
Starting point is 01:31:12 I actually enjoyed even the dummies on stage, strangely. Yeah. It was kind of interesting. It was. I thought this is a totally wrong take to have on conservative radio probably. But I actually thought Chris Christie's... appearance there made it better because he's like he gets in the middle
Starting point is 01:31:33 of stuff and like no one's going to vote for the guy and like no one takes him seriously but he does he does argue he had a couple you know a couple of good lines I was I thought there was a good chance he was going to go on there and just nonstop talk about how evil Donald Trump was he did a little of that
Starting point is 01:31:49 but not much it was really like he was he seemed like he was actually running as a candidate but the fact that he'll mix it up and it did create some of the better back and forth moments of the night even when he lost them. Let me go to Lee in Virginia. What did you think of the debate last night?
Starting point is 01:32:05 Oh, it was okay, I suppose. I only watched about the second half of it, but it was one of those things where I didn't really appreciate a lot of the questions. Yeah. I wanted something more deep. Some of the answers seemed more canned, although anytime the vague seemed to get in it with anybody, that was incredibly entertaining.
Starting point is 01:32:27 Yeah, it was. and and then even I'm not really a King Chris Christi fan but I really appreciated his initial reaction to the UFO question with the what? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I agree with you Lee
Starting point is 01:32:48 and I think the questions from the moderators were less than just silly or not sort of good. I think there were several questions that, especially the abortion question, the way it was phrased, Martha McCallan comes up and says, it's a loser for Republicans. No, it's not. No, it's really not. It might have been right after in 2020, but if you look at what's happened since, 25 states have moved to put restrictions, more restrictions on abortion. And all of the governors that signed these,
Starting point is 01:33:31 all of them have won if they were in their race. There has been some negative political effects. Like, I mean, the Ohio situation we talked about a couple weeks ago was not good. There's been several. They have been revification to this, though. I keep asking this question. And I thought this was one of the Nikki Haley's really bad moments last night. Again, I don't, you know, she's fine. But like, the fact that you're talking politics around this issue is rough. It's like if you can't trade election losses for saving millions of babies' lives, what the hell are you worth? Who are you?
Starting point is 01:34:05 What's the point of you if you can't do that? And like, I get that the correct answer to me, Glenn, is like, look, we want to save as many babies as possible, right? We'll take every incremental step we can take to get to that end. The long term is we need to convince people. hearts and minds need to be changed. So this is as abhorrent to Americans as slavery is. And we have
Starting point is 01:34:26 a constitutional amendment that bans it. Yes. But like we, I understand we're not going to get there today. Nicky Haley's point on we don't have enough senators to pass it is correct. But like, that doesn't mean you don't try. There should be a constitutional amendment banning abortion every single year they
Starting point is 01:34:42 vote on. This is the problem with the GOP. They are afraid of their own shadow and the shadows that are cast by progressives, Democrats, and the media. You know, they say, the fact check from, I think it was Washington Post or New York Times came out. And the fact check on abortion was nobody is trying to go for, you know, no limit abortion.
Starting point is 01:35:06 That's absolutely not true. And they reported in their fact check that, no, there's nobody's pushing for that. Nobody's pushing for that. What are you talking about? I mean, seven states already have a law that says any point during the pregnancy. What do you mean no one supports it? We must have 100 different politicians on record, all in the Democratic Party, saying there are no limits on abortion. There should be no limits.
Starting point is 01:35:30 There are no limits. I don't support any limits. What are you talking about no one's advocating for this? I know. And this is what happens when you have a media that represents the establishment and doesn't represent the people anymore. Bob in Kansas, what did you think of the debate last night? Wow, I'm surprised you got to me. I just wanted to say that Vivick both helped and hurt himself.
Starting point is 01:35:58 I think he said a lot of good things that would push the party forward and a lot of revolutionary type of things. He always says those type of things. But at the same time, he was really kind of condescending in some of the things that he said and how he said him, maybe. And so I think that he kind of helped himself, but he hurt himself. So he won and life. And if I could say something on a personal note, as a recovering alcoholic myself, you did save my life. I called in another time and I was drunk.
Starting point is 01:36:37 But you did save my life. And I didn't get on the line, but that time that I called. But I called in that other time because they got. that called in because he didn't want to continue. And I know what I'm talking about. But I do. I just appreciate you. And it took me getting a new liver to be here.
Starting point is 01:37:03 But I appreciate you. Wow. I am so glad that you are recovering, Bob, and that you're still with us. And life only gets better. The farther you get away from your drinking days, the more you realize, wow, I really, I love life. It is good. Thanks, Bob, for your call.
Starting point is 01:37:23 That gave me chills. I don't know if I just didn't expect it because we're just talking in the middle of dumb politics right now, but like, that gave me chills. That's incredible. You've destroyed so many lives and you saved one. Well, so can make you. No, but seriously, that really, that's a amazing, great story. Really nice.
Starting point is 01:37:39 Thank you for that. Decker in Texas, the debate. Yes, sir. Ramoswamy killed it. I think he was awesome last night. I think he captured the passions of the people. Sure, like Bob said, he was a little arrogant, but he reminded me of Trump in that respect.
Starting point is 01:37:56 Yeah. I felt like he saw through all those, I say, fakers out there, but, you know, it's hard for me to look at some of those people after knowing what I know. Yeah, I will tell you that it, it, he struck me last night as optimistic, having the optimism of Reagan strangely, even though he said it's not mourning in America. He strangely still had that Reagan optimism. He has the fighting spirit of Donald Trump. And I thought it worked.
Starting point is 01:38:36 I do think that he stepped over the line a couple of times, and I can see how people thought that he was arrogant at times. And especially if you don't know him. But I can give him a break on that. This is his first time ever doing this. I thought he did a really good job for a first timer. I also say he's getting hit on one fact check that is not true in my understanding of it. And again, I've seen some of the dissantis people tweet this stuff out.
Starting point is 01:39:03 And just to get the record straight, he said on stage, the report is that, and a lot of mainstream media is reporting this as well, that he said the climate change is a hoax. And then they're going back to his book where he said, I believe climate change is real, but this is what we should do about it. As I remember, and correct me if I'm wrong, I think he said the climate agenda is a hoax. I think he did too. And that is a totally different point and is consistent with what I think he wrote about in his book. So I think he is getting a little bit of an unfair beating on that one. Let's go to the audio or videotape. Okay.
Starting point is 01:39:37 Oh, wait, I got the puppet right here. The climate agenda is a hoax. Wow. That's what he said. So there you go. Thank you very much. Let me go to Stephen, North Carolina. You watched Tucker's interview with Trump last night. Hey, Glenn. Privilege to talk to you, man. Thank you. Yeah, I was disappointed. I was really, you know, Tucker left Fox. And I just felt like the interview that we got, that could have been aired on Fox. That was like Fox material to me. I was looking for the Tucker to come out to really press Trump on the issues Tucker has told us about that's been really concerning to him.
Starting point is 01:40:13 Ukraine, the vaccine, these type things that just kind of, I don't think got enough play last night in the debate. And I think with Trump, I was really hoping that Tucker would take it to Trump, ask some tough questions, because I'm very curious to know where he stands on that many years later after, you know, we're kind of in this weird lull of COVID and we hear the rumors of what's coming. But where is Trump's mindset on COVID? What does he really think about warp speed now? What about the whole Fauci thing where he let that guy just kind of take over the presidency? I really wanted to hear that. It was kind of disappointed in Tucker.
Starting point is 01:40:48 And with the interview, I just feel like it kind of fell flat to me. I tend to agree with you that I would have liked to see just because we are entering, not to go back and relitigate, but we are hearing rumors about the new COVID mandates that are coming. And, you know, I was disappointed that it didn't come up in the Fox debate and it didn't come up with Tucker. where do we go from here? You know, can we, can we all agree that this was bad and should never happen again?
Starting point is 01:41:20 And should somebody pass a law to make sure it doesn't happen again? Yeah, and I'll say too, I think the energy of the party is against funding Ukraine right now. Voters are feeling that way in the Republican Party. The overwhelming percentage of lawmakers in the Republican Party support funding Ukraine in some way. And it's important to note that Trump said, he would send even more weapons than Biden wanted to send to do this.
Starting point is 01:41:45 So pressing him and that would be interesting. That doesn't mean that Donald Trump's out of line with Republican thought generally. It's a very well-represented place. Everyone's beating up Mike Pence and Tim Scott and Nikki Haley for holding that view. But Trump has at least indicated he's pretty friendly to that view. And I think a lot of his supporters aren't. So I think that sort of stuff would have been interesting to examine with someone like Tucker who's so good at interviews.
Starting point is 01:42:08 I think he would have been. Here's what I think Trump meant by that. I will provide arms if they don't come to the table. And I'll provide more arms than they can possibly do. It's like the North Korea thing. Exactly right. Exactly. He's saying sort of a lot on both sides because he thinks it's going to advance a negotiation.
Starting point is 01:42:28 Okay. Back in just a second. Are you tired of not only paying far too much for your mobile phone service, but also knowing that some of that exorbitant amount of money that you're shelling out every month is going to support causes that you don't believe in. In fact, you stand against. One of the best things about living in a country where, for at least now, there's still a free market where you can choose.
Starting point is 01:42:51 That was one thing in the Donald Trump interview yesterday. They talked about cars. They talked about the green agenda. And he said, I just don't understand this. You know, these cars, these electric cars, they're not good. They're not good for distance. They're not good on the environment. everything is coming from China.
Starting point is 01:43:09 All of the batteries are coming from China. What are we doing here? And he went into saying, we have to have a choice. Let people buy what they want to buy. And that just seems like a foreign concept right now. Well, here's a chance. You have a chance to get away from the big three mobile phone companies that are selling our souls out every day. selling our country out, I believe, for what they're fighting for.
Starting point is 01:43:41 Patriot Mobile is fighting in the other direction. The only Christian conservative wireless provider offering dependable nationwide coverage on all three major networks. Starting point is 01:44:29 Let me get to the first scientific poll on who won the debate in just a second. First, let me go to Tammy. Listen to us, I think, in New York. Tammy. Hi, how are you? Very good. I'm calling in because I am a registered Democrat in New York State and I am not happy with how the country stands right now. So I needed to see what other options, even meaning on the other side of the fence, but they had to bring me to the table. I thought DeSantis last night held his own. He had a lot of points that I was interested in. I thought Chris Christie did his standard talking above everybody.
Starting point is 01:45:08 so that pretty much got me in the same place that every one of his debates has gotten me in the past. And that being said, not many other people kind of jazzed me. So I think in the future, as much as I have voted on the Democratic side, I definitely want to learn more about the Republicans, and right now, things are kind of leaning toward DeSantis. So what is it, Tammy, that has made you, you still haven't changed your affiliation. you still claim to be a Democrat. What is it that is changing you? What is what's happening in the world that is opening your eyes to say,
Starting point is 01:45:45 maybe I should look for something else. I will say this. I am a fixed income person. And I know for a fact that what I have in my pocket at the end of every, what I used to have at my pocket at the end of every month is now not even there at the end of every week. And that does not help. anybody, especially me. So that being said, and seeing how the past three years has just taken more away from me, increased my health costs, and it's just, it's very frustrating. I went to
Starting point is 01:46:23 the grocery store yesterday. It was the most depressing thing I've seen a year. I know. It's crazy. So it needs to be changed. And so in order for it to be changed, we have to make the changes. and me maybe voting for another party is what I need to do. So, Tammy, I'm just trying to get a handle on how you may have seen the world or are seeing the world. What is the cause of that, in your opinion, of the prices going up? I've seen more lately that the United States just seems to give and give and give, but to other people, not to our own country. and I think some of that, you know, I've always said it is not the United States world to completely police the world.
Starting point is 01:47:14 And if, you know, some of the money that's going overseas and helping them, whereas, you know, I haven't seen $1 be mentioned about what happened in Hawaii, that's frustrating. It's very frustrating. It's very sad. Tammy, I, you know, like I said, I've seen the price of growth. groceries go right through the roof. I worked with a lot of people in the restaurant industry. They can't put a plate on our menu for the same price, even close to what it was. COVID did not help. COVID did not help one little bit. And the problem is we're not rebounding from that, the way everybody thought we would have. I would love to continue our conversation. If you wouldn't mind, I'd love to get your phone number. I'm interested in in hearing somebody in transition, whichever way they're going, you know, towards a Republican or towards a Democrat, to see what is opening their mind.
Starting point is 01:48:16 Thank you so much, Tammy, for calling, and thanks for listening. The Glenn Beck Program. American Financing NMLS-182334. www. nmLS Consumer Access.org. All right. So you are in a situation like Tammy where you are going and you're looking at your money and it doesn't last the month. It doesn't last the week, as she said. It's inflation that is really the problem.
Starting point is 01:48:43 We are spending far too much money and they are just printing more money. And so the value of your dollar is going up. It's not that prices are going up. It's the value of your dollar is going down. That's the real problem. So what are you going to do? Well, I know people who have up to their eyeballs credit card debt, but they've put everything they can on the credit cards.
Starting point is 01:49:10 And now they're sitting here. And some of them, some credit cards are in the 30% range now. You've got to get out of that. Maybe American financing can help you. Please call them now, 800906 2440, 800, 906, 2440. get your credit cards under control and consider consolidation loan at Americanfinancing.net. And head over to blazediv.com slash Glenn. Take advantage of the $25 dollar offer going on right now with the code debate.
Starting point is 01:49:54 Seth Dillon is with us. He is the CEO of the Babylon B and wanted to get him in today to talk a little bit about the debate and where we are. What did you think of the debate last night? Well, I went on the internet where people tell me what to think. Yes. Yes. Yeah. So what did you?
Starting point is 01:50:14 What did they tell you? What did they tell me to think? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, I will say this. I don't know how to judge how someone won a debate like this because there's so many people on stage vying for attention. And sometimes the person who gets the most attention is the winner, even if they didn't do the best. Right.
Starting point is 01:50:31 I feel like that was probably Vivek because, I mean, it seemed like it was like Pence and Vivek going at it like half the time. Right. There was a lot of back and forth between them. Right. And Pence was kind of creepy. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:50:44 At the beginning, very smiley, like excessively smiling. And then went a little dark. Yeah. And that kind of, that was a little weird for me. Yeah. But I mean, look, to your comment, it was his first time and he handled himself very well. I think he really did. But I don't know how to pick a winner in these things.
Starting point is 01:51:02 I don't know. I think whoever we're talking about the most, whoever people are either attack, or praising the most is the winner of the thing. And so you just have to see who's trending on Twitter, I guess. So, sorry, X. Yeah, like that's going to catch up. Who was the official winner? Yes, Daily Mail came out with the first,
Starting point is 01:51:19 what I've seen, scientific poll for what that's worth. Who had the best debate performance? Number one was Vivek Ramaswami, 28%. Rhonda Santos, number two, 27%. Mike Pence was number three, 13%. I think I'm not surprised by that. I mean, to your point, he was aggressive. He was very aggressive and engaged.
Starting point is 01:51:36 You know, he got in the middle of it. And, you know, his views, I don't think, are exactly aligned with voters right now in the party. But he was aggressive and he was in the middle of those, those fights. He had some good points mixed in there. And for a guy who was really not made any noise at all, and all you're talking about is turning up the volume a little bit, right? He was so active. Had there been a fly on his head, it probably would have flown off. Yes, it could have.
Starting point is 01:51:58 It could have. Yeah. Tim Scott was next at eight. That one was strange because I didn't think he made, he didn't really seem to stand out at all to me. Nikki Haley, 7%, Chris Christie, 4, Doug Bergamentum at 3, and then Asa Hutchinson at 2. Poor Isa. Oh, man, I wish we had the transporter from Star Trek because I would have beamed a lot of them right back up. So you also have the book about gender, the Babylon Be Guide to Gender.
Starting point is 01:52:28 Not a single question about this. No, that was shocking. Not one. I noticed that, not one. Well, you've got Fox running the thing, right? And Fox has been under some fire recently from the right for being kind of like squishy or possibly even like pro trans on some issues, you know? So I was not really surprised by it, but I was disappointed that it was. I mean, it's like, that's like the cultural issue of our time right now.
Starting point is 01:52:53 It's the reason we wrote this book. Well, does this help us define a woman? Because I, you know, there's, there is a test in here. Listen, we are not. biologists. Right. So this is, you can't.
Starting point is 01:53:07 You can't know. So we wouldn't be qualified to give you a definition of woman. Yeah. Well, your test, still not sure if you're a woman, take the test. Are you always cold?
Starting point is 01:53:20 No. No, I am always cold, though. Yeah. It's a crap. This one point. Has a human ever popped out of you? No.
Starting point is 01:53:29 I don't think so. Right. Yeah. Okay. Have you ever decorated a bed with six or more pillows? I refuse to answer Can you tell the difference between cream white And rustic farmhouse white
Starting point is 01:53:41 Oh yeah Glenn definitely can you Glenn's got two points so far Yeah Have you ever Have you run into a curb in the past 24 hours Be honest Carol Do you bleed
Starting point is 01:53:54 Like for an extended period of time At regular intervals Does it take you over three hours to decide what you want to eat. Are you currently a member of at least three pyramid schemes? Again, this is just, this just allows us to draw general inferences, though, but because we're not biologists, we can't say definitively. Yeah, of course.
Starting point is 01:54:18 This quiz will give you a good idea. Right. Do you find simple movie plots hard to follow? Do you frequently describe your emotional state as fine when you're not, in fact, fine? Is your Starbucks drink order anything other than black coffee? Do you listen to Harry Stiles? Do you know who Harry Stiles is? That's great.
Starting point is 01:54:40 That's great. So we had this problem, you know, for most of human history, we didn't have science. We were all a bunch of bigots. And we thought that there were just men and women. And then science was invented very recently, and they determined that men can get pregnant and that women can suffer testicle injuries. And so once scientists discovered that, it opened up this huge, you know, awesome opportunity to explore the gender spectrum.
Starting point is 01:55:04 And how truly infinite it is. I was really happy that Nikki Haley multiple times pointed out that she was a woman. Because how else would we know? As onlookers, we wouldn't know she was the only female candidate, but she pointed it out like every three or four words. She had to say it. Right, yes. But is she a biologist? Does she know? Does she even know?
Starting point is 01:55:21 Does she even know? I mean. Well, that's a, I make that reference because, I mean, this was, that, that comes from the Supreme Court nomination. You've got a situation where you've got somebody getting confirmed to the Supreme Court saying, I cannot define what a woman is. That's how insane we've become. I think too. That's how insane we've become.
Starting point is 01:55:40 And so to satirize that, you really don't have to satirize this. No, you don't. You really just have to hold it up there. Yeah. And say, look how absurd this is. And that's kind of what this book does. We don't really have to go much further than the Democrats.
Starting point is 01:55:53 Yeah. And that's it. Where else do you go? Right. Right. I tell people all the time, they think our job is easier than ever because the world is so crazy. And I say, imagine if your job is to write jokes that are funnier than what Democrats are doing in real life.
Starting point is 01:56:05 That's your job. It's impossible. Good luck. It's why you just keep predicting the future, right? Exactly. You keep writing these fake articles and then they come true like six months later. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We have a lot of those. There are times when I honestly look at something and laugh because I think it's you. Right. And then I'm like, oh, dear God, no. It's real. Well, there's just that, I think it was New York Times op-ed about how elections are bad for democracy or something like that. We had made a joke about that. And that's another one of
Starting point is 01:56:32 those ones that came true. It's just, it's wild. So are we, are we close to the end yet? I mean, end of the insanity, not the end of the country or anything else, but are, I mean, there are some, for instance, comedy is coming back. Yeah. And it's coming roaring back. Yeah. I think. You're seeing things that just three, four years ago, you would have never seen. Right. Never seen. Well, when you, in comedy you're saying. Yeah. I do appreciate that there, and I think a big part of the shift will be when comedians start taking this stuff less seriously and actually joke about it. This is one of the problems that we've had from my perspective, doing humor and satire, is there are so many of these comedians, especially the late night talk shows, stuff like that,
Starting point is 01:57:14 is just propping up the popular narrative and not challenging it or poking holes in it. It's almost propaganda. It is propaganda. And propaganda is not funny. No. But then you've still got guys like Bill Maher, for example, who I disagree with on almost everything. He did a monologue on the whole gender issue and talked about how crazy it was. He joked about how when he was a kid, he wanted to be a pirate.
Starting point is 01:57:31 Thank God, no one scheduled him for peg leg surgery and eye removal. And that was funny. And those kinds of jokes, people don't understand the power of comedy to undermine these bad ideas and make them seem absurd. And it's been my contention for a long time. I've said this for a long time that the absurd has only become so popular and sacred where you can't even criticize it because it hasn't been mocked enough. Well, that is the one thing that dictators and authoritarian figures hate the most being mocked. Because once they mock you, I mean, look at how popular comedy was when they were mocking the right. Right.
Starting point is 01:58:09 And you had John Sturie. You had all these people mocking the right, mocking our society. And it worked. Extremely effective. Absolutely worked. And then all of a sudden all those shows went away. Well, it's working in the other way now where they're all in support of the narrative and the powers that be. And so they're not challenging it.
Starting point is 01:58:27 And so that just allows them to maintain their power instead of undermining it. And the comedian's primary job, really, besides making you laugh, which is really rule number one, is to speak truth to power, right? Just doing it through humor and mockery and making fun of them, poking holes in the popular narrative. So I think if we do that, if we start seeing comedians do that, if people start to really wake up, especially now that kids are involved in all of this, you see parents waking up and speaking up about these things, if people actually get the courage to start challenging this stuff and pointing out how crazy it is, then I think we do. The pendulum does swing back the other way. How much of that do you believe? Well, it all depends on if that actually happens. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:59:06 If it actually happens, yeah, I think we make a lot of progress. Yeah. Otherwise, we'll be the lone lunatics who seem like lunatics who are still saying that two and two make four. Yeah. The, is your job at all kind of depressing because you're pointing these things out and you're, I mean, comedy is fun. Yeah. It's fun. It's hard work, but it's fun. But when you're writing it and then you see it come true,
Starting point is 01:59:39 if you ever sit around with everybody going, God, man, I mean, it is disconcerting when the jokes come true. It is. I mean, we do get a laugh out of it. It's always, it's, we have this list. We have a spreadsheet where we're tracking the fulfilled prophecies and there's nearly 100. I think we're at like 97 or so.
Starting point is 01:59:58 That's crazy. it a hundred of these. Wherever the course, the B was started in 2016, so we didn't have a lot of them early on, but lately it's been ramping up and they're coming true more and more quickly. Sometimes we'll publish an article,
Starting point is 02:00:09 and within a matter of hours, it comes true, and it's reported in the headlines. So that is disconcerting. Can we get that list? I'd love to go over that list. Oh, yeah, yeah. Like right now?
Starting point is 02:00:19 Well, no, no. Okay, at some time. Yeah. But yeah, it's a spreadsheet. I think I have a link to it in my bio. I have like the link tree, and there's a link to it in there. Someone could pull it up
Starting point is 02:00:28 if they wanted to. But yeah, we have a lot of, we track them in a spreadsheet. So it's insane. It is disconcerting. It is somewhat depressing that people think that they often criticize us. Our jokes are too close to reality, and that's why people believe them. And that's not the case. It's that reality is too close to satire. Correct. And that's why people believe our jokes, because the real headlines, you remember the headline from a couple of years ago? I think this is a great example of how shark attacks are being rebranded as negative interactions because it's like stigmatizes the sharks of these violent creatures. Like, that is comedy.
Starting point is 02:01:01 It's comedy. But that's in the New York Post. It's a real headline. And so like those kinds of things, it's just you laugh or cry, Glenn. I don't know. I mean, what do you do? I think you're going to, I think we're going to come back when we're past this emotionally. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:01:15 And we're, you know, away from it. And we've hopefully, you know, rediscovered the truth. The truth will be rediscovered. It's just whether we destroy ourselves completely. Right. Before we rediscover. Before we have to rebuild from the ground up. Correct.
Starting point is 02:01:29 But it will be rediscovered. And when it does, people will look back at this time. I mean, they will write about this period of history in so many different ways. I think the destruction, the way the left has pulled this off is brilliant. Yeah. It's happened quickly, too. I mentioned Bill Maher a minute ago. Dennis Prager was on Bill Maher show a few years ago.
Starting point is 02:01:51 You remember this clip from like, what is it, 2018? I don't know when it was. Yeah. Not that long ago. No, I think it was empty. And he was talking about how they were starting to put tampons in the boys' restroom. And Bill Maher and his audience thought that was hysterical. You're out of your mind.
Starting point is 02:02:03 You're making that up. It's not really happening. I mean, that's how quickly it's gone. So tell me, when you've, who's this book targeted to? Me? Or is this a book that, because I really, I want to ask the people who have gone down this road where I've got to have tampons in the boys' room. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:02:24 you would have thought that was insane. In fact, you know, the clip that you're talking about, they did. All the Democrats in the room thought it was crazy. All of them thought it was crazy. Yeah. There's no new evidence that has been, you know, we haven't found, hey, look at this. You know, it's a removable penis on, you know, on old bones that we found. Right.
Starting point is 02:02:48 Nothing has changed. Right. Except people have just told you that you have to say. say these things and this is the new science. Yeah. Do you think people will pick this up and maybe, maybe go? Second guess it? Yeah, maybe I might.
Starting point is 02:03:07 So one of our most popular articles ever was about how a motorcyclist identified as a bicyclist and set a world record. And it went crazy viral. It got like six million or eight million shares or something like that on Facebook. And I got a stream of emails, a steady stream of emails from people. No joke. emailing me, straight face saying, I didn't really understand the men and women's sports issue,
Starting point is 02:03:29 what the issue is, I thought it was all about tolerance and acceptance. Until I read this article, it, like, made it clear for me how crazy this is. It really does actually have an impact on people's thinking when you draw out the absurdity of it that way, by putting it in a humorous context. So, I don't know.
