The Remnant
It started with a voice on the ham, barely a whisper under static.
No call sign, no location, just those words, and then silence again.
We didn't say anything about it that night.
Claire just looked up from her tea and said, it's a beginning.
I didn't know what she meant until the next message came through two nights later.
Then another.
And then more.
Too many to count.
And outside Helena, Alabama.
None gave names.
Only signs.
And everyone ended the same way.
He walks among the lamp stands.
Do not fear the dark.
We started marking them on the wall of our church, not names, not dots.
Flames.
Each one was a flicker of light that we could feel but we couldn't see.
and as the wall filled, something changed in us.
We weren't hiding anymore.
We were anchored.
Thomas said it best one morning by the fire.
There is no such thing as a scattered flame.
There is only light learning where it lives.
For the first time in months,
I let myself hope.
Not for rescue, not for restoration,
but for something true,
arise from what had died. Not a country, a people. We called them the remnant, not the strongest,
not the loudest, not the most righteous, just those who did not forget. Those who still believed
in covenant, in truth, in mercy, in the lamb who comes with scars and not swords. And we began to hear
the stories, the miracles, the real ones, the man found in the rubble still breathing, still praying,
A field of dead crops blooming after a night of worship.
A bullet fired that never landed.
No cameras, no proof.
Only testimonies.
And in this world, testimony is fire.
One night a girl no older than ten.
Stood up during prayer.
She looked around the room.
Her eyes wet but clear.
She said, he is not far anymore.
He is walking again.
No one asked who.
No one needed to.
The spirit had begun to move again
Not his wind, but his recognition.
My name is Siyaya, and I live in the most beautiful place on earth.
Seven months ago, I blew up my life, and a lot has shifted since then.
Everyone is moving forward.
I'm still working on that.
And that's me.

You've been hearing about the struggles with the country's housing market for a couple of years now.
Higher mortgage rates have led to stagnation, and home sellers and buyers are sitting on the sideline.
Well, the Fed has dropped the rates, but it really hasn't solved the issue.
Homebuyers and sellers are facing, and if you need to sell or buy a home, I strongly urge you to check out my company.

One man of former scientist from Colorado said he felt something shift in the electromagnetic field near his camp.
Weird rhythms.
Perfect timing, no interference, just harmony, he said.
We believed it was spirit bending even physics to align with its people.
He started reading scripture.
allowed to the forest at night. He said the trees listened. A woman rode in from a mountain in
Virginia three times I almost left. Three times I heard wait. On the fourth day, three strangers came.
One was bleeding, one was mute. One asked just simply for a prayer and I understood I was the fourth.
It wasn't just survival anymore. Now it was becoming an assembly, not centralization, but
connection, a web of quiet obedience, a network of surrendered hearts. No one in charge, only one
above. Not everybody welcomed it. The world had grown used to noise, to shouting, to force.
And when the remnant rose in silence, the other powers began to take notice. In the compliance
corridors, formerly the D.C. suburbs, peacekeepers raided a home for playing music without a permit.
The man was singing the beatitudes.
He was arrested for unsanctioned moral influence.
The judge said it could destabilize the algorithmic peace matrix.
The what?
In California, a drone scanned a prayer circle and flagged seven individuals
for patterned reverence without civil context.
They were offered a choice.
Relocation or reset.
No one really knew what reset meant, but nobody ever came back from it.
The machine systems began to watch more closely.
AI began to recognize scripture cadence, flagged emails quoting Romans, shut down broadcasts containing revelation,
demonetized spoken word for the content tagged with Messiah, sin, redemption.
In global regions still under digital governance, the Bible was classified.
classified as a legacy influence protocol.
And slowly, light itself became treason.
We asked Claire if we should stop the signals.
She smiled and said when the early church was hunted, they didn't stop singing.
They sang louder.
And so we did.
Soft at first, then bold.
And for the first time our little ham rig didn't feel like a lifeline.
It felt like a beacon.
And that's when the call came.
A woman's voice calm, low, steady.
Casting to any sanctuaries still just begin to find one another.
It wasn't a command, it was an invitation.
And once you heard it, you couldn't go back.
Claire looked at me that night.
Her eyes were tired, her hands were folded, her heart unshaken.
The hiding was for a season.
But now the season is shifting.
The next morning we opened the gate in the forest.
It was just a path, marked with a simple stone cross and a ring of salt.
A sign that we were ready to see and be seen by the right eyes.
The boy from Texas helped carve the letters.
Light has come into the world, and the darkness has not understood it.
We didn't shout, we didn't arm, we didn't post guards, we just prayed.
and listened and waited.
The remnant is not a rebellion.
It's a response,
a response to a call as old as breath itself,
to come out, to be separate, to shine.
And now we know,
we are not few, we are not forgotten,
we are not late,
we are his,
and the light is gathering.

The fire started just before dawn. No wind, no lightning, no spark we could trace,
just a line of smoke on the horizon low, slow, and steady. The kind of burn that
It wasn't wild.
This burn was placed.
We watched it from the ridge line, silent.
A black tongue flames licking its way across the valley,
not towards sanctuary, but around it.
As if it saw us and passed us by.
The boy from Texas was the first to speak.
They're burning the road.
He was right.
By mid-morning, the entire North Trail was gone.
By sundown, the southern route was cut too.
We were no longer hidden.
and we were surrounded.
But no one moved, no one panicked,
because now we'd learn something the world had forgotten.
When the fires come, you don't run, you stand,
and you remember who's standing with you.
That night, Clara died.
No pain, no sound, just slipped away by the fire, her hand on the Bible.
We found a note in her pocket.
It read,
I've seen the edge of the veil.
He is nearer than we feared
and far more merciful than we deserve.
We buried her beneath an apple tree
she planted on the third day of sanctuary.
That tree was just beginning to bloom.
We said no words.
We just sang.
And that was the first time I heard it.
A whisper.
Not from a person, not from a speaker, but from the air.
From within.
It was a voice that said,
It is time to choose.
The light does not hide forever.
My name is Siaia, and I live in the most beautiful place on earth.
Seven months ago, I blew up my life, and a lot has shifted since then.

The next day, the dreams began.
A girl awoke, screaming, clutching her chest.
She said she'd seen a man with no eyes.
Everyone around him clapping.
A woman said she heard a song she didn't know, ancient, beautiful,
but when she sang it, the candles went out.
A man confessed he saw a throne made of wires and lights with ten crowns and no face.
None of them remembered falling asleep, but all of them woke up with the same feeling,
something is coming and it isn't just evil, it is organized.
Thomas, who had long since stopped preaching sermons.
He called a meeting in the circle.
He didn't speak loudly.
He read a passage from Second Thessalonians.
The coming of the lawless one
Is by the activity of Satan
With all the power and false signs and wonders
He looked up
I used to think that was symbolic he said
I think we're about to see it
No one argued
Because the signs were already here
Cities were rebuilding but not with faith
With systematic loyalty instead
New leaders had emerged
Not presidents not generals
Voices projected on screens
Deep calm unblinking
They never used names, they never made demands, they simply spoke about unity, about security, about surrender.
And when they finished, people wept.
A traitor who had passed through the southern corridor told us about one such voice called The One Who Orders.
He said he never showed his face, only his hands, and they were perfect, pale, and clean.
He performed no miracles, but diseases vanished in sectors he visited.
violence ceased storms parted people followed him not because they feared him but because he made them feel seen the trader had a map marked with red symbols we didn't recognize he said he'd been given it by a reconciler
one of the thousands who now traveled city to city preparing the way that night a girl in sanctuary no older than nine stood up during prayer and said he walks like light but casts no shadow
and then she fainted.
We didn't wake her, we just knelt around her and prayed.
The wind changed the next day.
Not a breeze, but the feeling of it, as if something had shifted in the sky.
The birds flew lower, the bees were gone,
and the stars normally clear out in our parts of the wood began to pulse faintly.
We had seen our wall of flames.
Each mark for another sanctuary, another outlawful,
post another ember of truth, but two of them had been wiped away, scratched, burned, gone.
No word, no signal, just again, silence. And still we stood. Because Clara had told us once,
ashes don't mean it's over. Sometimes it means something new is about to grow.
You know, there's a certain kind of confidence that only parents have. You walk into a bedroom,
you take one look at your kid and go, yeah.
He's getting sick.
You don't need a thermometer.
You don't need a doctor.
You just know, right?
Unfortunately, knowing they're about to get sick is the easy part.
The hard part is discovering that half the town has the same bug.
The pharmacy is out of the medication they need.
And now you're driving all over town hoping somebody has it in stock.
That's why I advise you prepare before the first cough starts.
The kid's case from Jace Medical provides physician prescribed emergency medications
and antibiotics designed specifically for your children.
And you can also include essentials like albuterol, epipins, Zyrtec.
So when a school germ makes their annual appearance,
you're not scrambling to find out, you know what your family needs.
You already have it.
And having it when you need it, when the time comes, gives you true peace of mind.

That night I climbed to the top of the ridge line.
The fires had stopped.
The ground still still.
smoked, and in the distance I saw lights. Too many, synchronized, not lanterns, not torches,
drones, circling, watching, waiting, and just beyond them, a shape. It was a black spire.
No windows, just rising steel and shadow lit by pulses of red from its crown. I didn't know
what it was, but I knew who it served.
I came back to camp.
I didn't say a word.
Instead, I just opened the journal,
our Book of Light and Ash,
and I wrote one sentence.
The beast builds quietly.
We gathered one last time that season.
Not for fear, but for fellowship.
Each person shared one truth they still held.
One verse, one dream, one promise.
And when it came to me, I said,
the fire didn't burn us.
Because he walked with us through it.
And he has not done walking.
In our little gathering, we don't know what's coming next.
Whether we'll scatter, whether we'll stand, whether the storm will come in silence or thunder.
But we do know this.
The remnant remains.
The light still burns.
And even in ashes, he builds.
