Starting point is 00:00:00 We've got a big show coming up for you here in just a second. Tell you all the good things that are happening. I do have to tell you one thing that is extraordinarily concerning coming up on today's broadcast. But let me tell you first about my Patriot Supply. The sad and ugly truth is that no one, not even President Trump and his incoming administration, can protect you and your family from every possible emergency situation that could arise. We have to prepare for them the best that we can. And when a crisis hits, food is almost always the first casualty.
Starting point is 00:00:29 Everybody needs it, and as soon as things get scary, panic buying sets in, and you don't want to be a part of that. Storing emergency food in your home is the right thing to do. We still live in crazy times, and your family might need it. Right now, My Patriot Supply offering $50 off their four-week emergency food kit. Go to MyPatriotsupply.com right now and grab yours. Don't put this off. Now is the time to prepare. It's MyPatriotsupply.com.
Starting point is 00:00:54 Get your four-week food kit right now, mypatriotsupply.com. In just the last few days, CNN's ratings, well, they're being beat by SpongeBob SquarePants reruns. So I think we, you know, think things have changed a little bit. They still haven't woken up. Neither has the Biden family. I mean, I don't know if Joe Biden is ever going to wake up at this point, but, you know, he's out kicking rocks. And Hunter Biden is asking himself, what happened to my painting career? Why isn't anybody interested in my painting?
Starting point is 00:02:32 Gee, I don't know. We're going to tell you, meanwhile, Donald Trump has been very, very busy and hard at work. He is also going to be speaking at the World Economic Forum today. The Davos gathering. We're very interested to see what he says. That'll happen during this broadcast, so we're going to be carrying parts of it. And let you know, also we have Carol Roth with us to talk about what's happening in the economy, what is expected. and we're going to just start with a long list of what has happened yet again in the last 21 hours,
Starting point is 00:03:08 because a lot has happened. We'll go there in 60 seconds. First, let me tell you about rough greens. You don't want to just feed your family most unhealthy junk food. You don't do that with your kids. You want something healthy and nutritious for them, and the same is true with your dog. It should be. His kibble food, we've always felt good because of advertising.
Starting point is 00:03:28 that we're feeding our dog, you know, something that is really good, but it's actually all dead. It is sterilized so he can sit on a shelf for two years. Can you imagine eating nothing but food that has been sterilized so it could sit on your pantry shelf for two years in a bag? Not good. This is a supplement created by naturopathic Dr. Dennis Black specifically to make your pet healthy. You sprinkle it on your dog's food has the vitamins, probiotics, enzymes, omega, oils, antioxidants, everything your dog needs. Sprinkled on top of his kibble food.
Starting point is 00:04:03 Get the Jump Start Trial Bag. Now, normally $20. It's free with the promo code Glenn. You just cover the shipping. They want to make sure your dog likes it as much as Uno does. Get Rough Greens. Now, that free Jump Start Trial Bag, free Rough Greens. RUFF Greens.com.
Starting point is 00:04:20 That's roughgreens.com. Use the promo code Glenn. Food's so good your dog will ask for it by name. Okay, hello, Stu. Glenn, how are you? How are you feeling? How you feeling? Ah, great.
Starting point is 00:04:34 Still, the optimism still there. What are you doing to me? You're feeling good? What are you doing to me? Well, I mean, you were on yesterday, very optimistic. Yes. I had you on my show yesterday. Yes.
Starting point is 00:04:43 Very optimistic. Lots of great things happening. It's only been, you know, 12 hours or so since that appearance. I've been optimistic since the election. I've been really optimistic. Right. And then yesterday, you were optimistic. A 12 to 18 hours past.
Starting point is 00:04:58 And then here we are on Thursday morning. All right. I have some really bad news to share. I don't know. I have some really bad news. You know, and it revolves around Stargate. And I want to share that next hour. Okay.
Starting point is 00:05:13 I'd like to, you know, put on all the positive news first. This is, you know, it's been a good week. First of all, Donald Trump is more popular than he was in his first term. It's true. He starts off. So that's really good. Donald Trump, it looks like he's going to be taking on, you know, what's happening with the Secret Service. He's tapped the guy who was the first to tackle him on stage.
Starting point is 00:05:38 And he's going to be cleaning up the Secret Service. He has great hope in that guy and trust in that guy. He was the first guy at the Pennsylvania rally to get to him. He rushed on stage first. Yeah. And took him down. I mean, it's a good sign that you know what you're doing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:55 And certainly you're brave enough. for the job. Sure. And he's been in for like 23 years and you know, Donald Trump has been around this guy, you know, every day for a while. He's been protecting the family. So he knows him quite well. And, you know, Donald Trump is, you don't get a lot past Donald Trump. So hopefully, this is going to be really, really good. Now, DHS, under my oricus, couldn't use the words illegal or alien. We can use those words again. Oh, thank goodness. They've been unbursed. like we haven't been using those words all the time. DHS wasn't allowed to use them,
Starting point is 00:06:31 but now they are. I'm interested. I would love to be a fly on the wall around the DHS people to see how they actually feel about this. You know what I mean? Are they relieved? Or have they been so indoctrinated now?
Starting point is 00:06:46 They're like, oh, this is so wrong. This is wrong. They're illegal aliens. No, they're not. You can't be illegal and a person. humans cannot be illegal. I'd be surprised if it wasn't a mix, right? There's going to be some people in there that are like,
Starting point is 00:07:03 I can't believe we're doing this. But I think the average person across the entire country, also in this department, it's got to be like, thank God. Like we, you know, we get to just say the things that are real. We get to, I mean, this is what the law says. Right. The way the executive order was written, it was basically like, it just must reflect the reality.
Starting point is 00:07:23 The reality of the law. the way the law is written. Right. The law has the term illegal alien in there. Right. So we should use the term that's in the law. We shouldn't make up new terms that aren't in the law. That's a terrible precedent.
Starting point is 00:07:36 A little like no drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. It's a Gulf of America. I'm just saying. That is not going to work. I'm just saying it. I'm just saying. All right. Donald Trump also signed an executive order yesterday, sending an additional 500 troops
Starting point is 00:07:50 to the southern border of the United States. However, we really have. had a decrease of people headed towards the border. I don't know if you've heard that. A massive one. Massive. Do you have the numbers in front of you? I talked about it yesterday.
Starting point is 00:08:06 I know the one I remember off the top of my head was that in the last two days of the Biden administration, there were 12,000 border interactions, right? Like they ran into 12,000 people, basically. And the first two days of the Trump administration, it was 770. So 90 plus percent decrease. And remember, 12,000 was way down from where it was during 2022, 2023 when it was really, really high. Biden put in some of the Trump policies back on. We saw a drop in 2024 as he was trying to win the election.
Starting point is 00:08:42 And we're now seeing a massive drop from those levels with Donald Trump. And, you know, I just say with an extra thousand there, it would have been very patriotic, 1776. So I appreciate the illegals trying to make this as. patriotic as they can. That's nice. That is, you know, really, really great. By the way, yesterday also the refugee flights were suspended. Now, how many of us knew that those refugee flights were still happening? I mean, I knew they happened, but then they were exposed, and you would have just thought that they stopped happening.
Starting point is 00:09:20 but they didn't. So we're saving our tax money there. We're not just having people show up on our airplanes without any documentation at all. And just going to be, hey, where do you want to go today? Where do you want to go? Not the United States. I'll tell you that. So that's been suspended.
Starting point is 00:09:42 So that's more good news. Also, legal immigrants no longer have to take the COVID vaccine, which is. which is good. I mean, people come in with tuberculosis and leprosy and we're like, come on in. He's got leprosy and lights. What's the problem with that? And we just let them on in. And, oh, wait, hang on just a second. You have to take the, you have to take the COVID Vax before you're a, you can come in here legally. I don't think so. No. And that's a good sign that Donald Trump is not pushing the COVID vaccine, you know? I haven't heard anybody actually talk to him about the vaccine and how he feels about Fauci. Have you? He's definitely not a Fauci fan. I mean,
Starting point is 00:10:27 quite clearly he was talking about, you know, looking into him and seeing if he had done anything illegal, right? So he definitely was not a, not a Fauci fan. I mean, I don't know. Is the COVID vaccine relevant to anybody at this point? I mean, it's a multi, I feel like we're three or four years past that story, right? I don't think he's going to be talking about it because it's just, I mean, like, if you want to take it, take it. Some people might. But I don't think it's a, it's a story that as far as like requiring people, like, what year is it? I know, I know.
Starting point is 00:10:57 I feel like I've gone into a time machine when I hear these stories sometimes. I know. It really is. I'm a lot. Requiring people to wear masks and having the COVID vaccine is really. I mean, it just, it feels like, and we're going to send you to the leprosy caves. Moses. No, no.
Starting point is 00:11:15 I mean, it's, it's bad. It's bad. Seems a little old-fashioned, but, you know, hey, so was Joe Biden. Now, also yesterday, Donald Trump's DOJ has cracked down on the sanctuary city officials that are, you know, resisting. Federal law prohibits state and local actors from resisting, obstructing, and otherwise failing to comply with lawful immigration-related commands and requests. interim decisions and policy changes pending confirmation of Trump's U.S. Attorney General Pambandi, but they're starting to move that way. Correspondents outlined three of the most serious threats facing the American people, cartels, transnational criminal organizations, violent crimes committed by illegal aliens,
Starting point is 00:12:03 and the fentanyl crisis. Gee, I mean, you know, what city doesn't want to stop that? You know, what city is like, you know, that fentanyl, that's all. blown out of proportion, you know? I mean, look at our cities. What's the problem with fentanyl, really? I mean, I feel like a place like San Francisco would say, if we lose the fentanyl, we have no more residence. Like, everyone just leaves.
Starting point is 00:12:28 But if they also keep the fentanyl, they don't have any more residents. Well, yeah, but that's a longer term fade. Yeah, that could take almost two weeks for those guys to die. So they are cracking down the Justice Department must and will work to eradicate. these threats. Indeed, it is the responsibility of the Justice Department defend the Constitution and accordingly to lawfully execute the policies of the American people and the people that elected President Trump to implement. The Justice Department responsibility proudly shouldered by each of its employees includes aggressive enforcement of laws enacted by Congress as well as the vigorous
Starting point is 00:13:04 defense of the President's actions on behalf of the United States against legal challenges. The Department's personnel must come together in the offices that taxpayers, have funded to do this vitally important work. In order to advance the administration's deportation goals, they also noted in this memo, the DOJ must move to address the issues of local leaders obstructing immigration enforcement. States and local jurisdictions are required under the Supremacy Clause to comply with the federal government's immigration laws. Federal law prohibits state and local actors from resisting, obstructing, and otherwise failing to comply with lawful immigration-related commands and requests.
Starting point is 00:13:44 The U.S. Attorney's offices and litigating components of the Department of Justice shall investigate incidences involving any such misconduct for potential prosecution, including for obstructing federal functions. Wow, you know who's going to be marched, you know, in a perp walk? Are these sanctuary city people? I mean, I just don't see them getting away with this. He's not going to stop. I mean, it shouldn't that he shouldn't stop on that, right?
Starting point is 00:14:14 They're just ignoring laws. Yeah. That's not how this is supposed to work. No, and we've had these sanctuary city things where people have ignored laws over and over and over again. And these are well-established laws. This isn't all of a sudden, you know, you can't kill babies after they're born kind of laws. You know what I mean? Which they failed to pass, by the way, yesterday.
Starting point is 00:14:35 Congress, the Senate in particular, the Democrats did a filibuster. and you couldn't get 60 votes to break that filibuster to be able to pass it. So it failed. So, you know. The Democrats said, all this is going to do is harm those babies and those mothers who, who, no, no, hang on just this. Okay. Those babies who had a very difficult time giving birth. Wait, they were trying to abort the baby.
Starting point is 00:15:08 So, yeah, I would say they were having a hard time giving birth because they were trying to kill it so there was no birth. But if the baby is born alive, the doctors are supposed to save it. And, you know, there's only six states, I think, that keep track of born alive abortions. And so there's 229 in the last few years. And they're saying, well, no, the moms just want to hold the baby. if it's born alive the moms just want to hold it really you tried to kill it and now you want to hold it I don't really understand that kind of makes my head hurt but but I mean I wouldn't be shocked that after you go through that and your baby's born you might realize wow that was a terrible
Starting point is 00:15:56 mistake really yeah I think so you don't think there's an emotion you don't think there could be an emotional reaction after trying to kill your kid and it comes out born alive like I So then what do you do? What do you do? Oh, that was a mistake. I want to hold it and let it die in my arms. Or can you help it? I would want the doctors to do things to try to prevent the death. But that's just me, Glenn. Apparently it is almost. You know, it's funny too. Like, I mean, what I come back to this one because it seems so obvious, right? They say, well, this doesn't even happen or it's incredibly rare or it's not even part. And it's like, okay, well, let's just make sure. Like we, half the country is. suspicious of it. So let's just make sure. Let's just pass a law that says quite clearly, because we didn't think we needed to state it before, but we're a little worried that maybe we do. So we'll pass a very short, specific law that says you can't kill the baby once it's born.
Starting point is 00:16:53 All right. Let's just agree on that. That's what they tried to do yesterday. Yeah. And what happens is they say no. And so I'm trying I'm trying to understand how it's not a baby after it's born and how it's part of your body. It's not. When it's born in the ability. court has been cut. It's not part of your body anymore. Can I give you the most gracious interpretation of this possible? And I mean, I'm really stretching for this one. Think of what happens when the Democrats say they have a sensible piece of gun legislation. And let's say you might look at it on the surface and say, well, I mean, I guess I don't want nine-year-olds to have oozies, whatever it is, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:17:35 But what would we say? And I think appropriately so, they're trying something else. They're doing something else here. There's some slippery slope they're trying to get down. They're not just doing this. No, that stuff even happens. Kid, nine-year-olds don't have usies. That's got nothing to do with this. They're doing
Starting point is 00:17:51 something else. And I would hold the line every little bit to not let that advance. I mean, there is an argument there that they just don't trust us at all on this. No, the slippery slope, by the way. My goal absolutely is to get rid of all abortion. Here's the crazy slippery slope.
Starting point is 00:18:08 It's a child. Yeah. And someone might realize it's a child. Right. And then your abortion goes away. Yeah. That's a really dangerous slippery slope. You can see the games we're playing there.
Starting point is 00:18:20 It's a child. But that is an incredibly dangerous slope. To them. I know. It's their entire ideology is wrapped up on you thinking it's not a child. Right. And I mean, but here's the sneaky part. we're using the truth.
Starting point is 00:18:36 I'll never see that one coming. Let me tell you about Jace Medical. How many times does this happen to you? You go to a store, get an item that's always there. All of a sudden, the store is out of stock on that item. I never had that problem a few years ago. And then COVID hit. And then you're like, wait, what?
Starting point is 00:18:51 You're having a problem, huh? It's a bummer. It's kind of annoying. But when the item in question that you are looking for is medication, something that your loved one, or maybe you desperately need, yeah, it's got a little more than annoying. Jace case, a simple, reliable emergency supply of life-saving medications that are put in the control of your hands. Now, there's no way to prepare for literally every single thing that could possibly go wrong,
Starting point is 00:19:18 but there's lots of ways to prepare for everything you know could go wrong. And the Jace case is a must-have for that. It's not about fear, it's about living with a peace of mind. It's about living, knowing your rights and your responsibilities. And being prepared is your responsibility. It's your way of protecting your family and your future. So don't wait for the next headline to wake you up. Jace Case.
Starting point is 00:19:43 Enter the promo code at jase.e.com. Jace.com promo code Beck. Make sure you have the right meds on hand for the moment you need them. It's Jase. JASE.com promo code Beck. 10 seconds, station ID. See, here's what the left and the Democrats don't understand. We're not buying into their bull crap anymore.
Starting point is 00:20:17 America's just not buying into it. All 217 House Republicans joined by 46 Democrats in improving the Lake and Riley Act. Now, this is a very controversial act, okay? What it says is if you are here illegally and you're accused of any theft for, related crimes, assaulting law enforcement officers, committing acts that cause serious injury or death, you have to be deported. I mean, how crazy and radical do these people have to get before you all wake up and go, huh, it seems normal?
Starting point is 00:21:00 I mean, how is that controversial at all? You come here illegally, but it's not even saying, oh, you should get out of here right away because you're here illegally. Nope, nope, nope, nope. You're here illegally and then you've committed some crime, some theft, you've assaulted somebody, you know, caused serious injury or death. It was only one drunk driving incident. What is it talking about? You got to go home.
Starting point is 00:21:31 Wow. Democrats didn't like it. They didn't like it at all, but the Republicans now in control of the Senate and the House are sending it to Donald Trump to be signed in as law. Now, honestly, tell me who's against that one in real life. The argument I heard was they're worried that because the way the law is written, it kind of allows people who are accused of crimes, rather than not convicted, just like accused of them, charged with them to be deported. They might be innocent, which is obviously it's possible. But again, they're not, you know what? They're illegal.
Starting point is 00:22:11 They're here illegally. Right. So they already are doing something wrong. Yeah, they're doing something wrong. I don't think this is a good point. I'm just saying this is what the point is. The other one I heard is there's a chance of challenging immigration law in courts that even some people on the right are worried about because a Democratic president could essentially, our Democratic state could challenge these things under a Democratic president and get them through. But it's about it.
Starting point is 00:22:35 It's pretty simple. Hey, let me tell you a little bit about preborn. you know, babies in the womb, hang on, are babies outside of the womb. Wait, wait, where did you get that? No, I know. Did you watch a documentary or something? Now, here's a deal. Now, the abortion pill accounts for over 60% of all abortions, and it's available pretty much 24-7.
Starting point is 00:23:03 Pre-born is important because if you've made that horrible decision and you've taken those pills, you now have a second chance to undo that decision. How grateful would you be for that chance? How relieved would you be? In addition to the work they're doing with free ultrasounds for expecting moms, they're also administering a reversal protocol for women who have attempted abortion but still want a second chance for their babies to have life. You know, you were just talking about, you know,
Starting point is 00:23:30 I had an abortion and it was botched and, you know, I just want to hold the baby. Well, here is a second chance. Start the new year out right by, supporting life. One ultrasound is $28.140 will help rescue five babies. Will you help us rescue children and their mothers? Dial pound 250. Say the keyword baby. Pound 250 keyword baby preborn.com slash Beck. Head over to blazecc.com slash Glenn. Use the code Glenn 47. You can save 47 bucks. Welcome to the Glenn Beck program. Well, Trump has decided to release the JFK assassination files immediately. They're coming out sometime next week.
Starting point is 00:24:24 We'll see what has been held back. In talking to Cash Patel, he said that he saw them, and it's not who they're protecting, but what they're protecting. He wouldn't give us any more details. Other than that, he is one of the guys who saw it with President Trump. When President Trump decided to hold back one more time, we'll see if these come out. I'm still waiting also for an explanation of the drones,
Starting point is 00:24:48 but that's kind of fallen off the news. And, you know, he has been. a little busy, a little busy with a couple of other things. The New York Times also busy. I mean, I've heard some crazy things. Stu, I just want to give you this and tell me how you get here. New York Times, Mexican drug cartels are responsible for the untimely deaths of hundreds of thousands of people over the past. two decades. When factoring in the fentanyl, they smuggle into the United States. Cartails are also
Starting point is 00:25:28 culpable for the deaths of over 200 Americans every day. They deal with murder and addiction, mass kidnappings, rape, torture, political intimidation, yada yada yaw. But the New York Times has a concern about the economic impact of Trump's plan to identify and hold the cartels responsible. No, no. Now, I'm trying to think about the positive impact the New York Times might have found with the cartels. I mean, job creators? Yes. Yes, absolutely. You got that. You got... They're kind of, kind of in the medical business, kind of. I mean... The medical, okay. Well, they're kind of pharmaceutical companies. Yeah, okay. Sure. I mean, you could treat certain
Starting point is 00:26:24 ailments with their products. They're into the entertainment business. Yes. Adult entertainment. Or child entertainment. You know, for adults. How you want to be entertained. Sure. Sure. I mean, would we get any good movies
Starting point is 00:26:40 or music if there were no drugs in this country? Probably not. No. You know, that's going to be, that's... Hollywood is in trouble. Are they trying to say basically these cartels are, you know, used as coyotes, essentially? and the people who are coming in for free cheap labor,
Starting point is 00:26:59 a free or cheap labor, won't be coming in anymore. That hurts our economy. I mean, again, I don't think that's a good argument, but is that what they're trying to get to? So what they're saying is that this is going to be hard on the banks. It's going to be hard on the banks. Why would the cartels going away be hard on banks?
Starting point is 00:27:16 Because the banks are going to be responsible for knowing if your, you know, if your client is a, you know, part of a drug cartel. and, you know. Okay. So what additional, I mean, is this going to cause additional layers of paperwork for everybody, essentially? I don't know, I guess. And not just cartels, but like, you know, are your friendly neighborhood drug dealer?
Starting point is 00:27:39 You know, I think. I mean, if you're in that business, you probably aren't using a bank. You know what I mean? Now, if you're a cartel, you want to use the banks. But, I mean, if you're coming in, you know, every year with, you know, 1.5, billion dollars or you know even have holdings of a trillion dollars you know i might want to ask how are you doing that i'm in the import export business like a little bit more like a little bit more uh as you know you also put down here you're in the entertainment industry and pharmaceuticals
Starting point is 00:28:14 but i haven't seen anything on the shelves uh from you now elizabeth warren has reliably told me that criminals only use cryptocurrency. So maybe, why would they need the banks? Yeah, why would it affect the banks in any way? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. But, you know, I just, you know, as I said yesterday, if I were an entrepreneur and I were in Mexico, I might start coffins.com, you know, because I think there's going to be a run on coffins. And, you know, as long as Gavin Newsom isn't there, he's not going to put any, well, there's a coffin shortage.
Starting point is 00:28:54 So, you know, let's not raise the price of coffins. He's not going to do that. You can price on demand, I'm guessing, in Mexico. So when there's a rush for coffins because, I don't know, our special forces have killed all of the people in the drug cartels, you can make some money. What's your impression on what Trump actually does here? We talked a little bit about this yesterday, but like, what's the specific? plan. I know you don't, you know, you're not going to reveal anything, but like, because I don't. You, I, I, I, uh, you have thoughts and impressions. Let's say.
Starting point is 00:29:27 Ah. Thoughts and impressions. When you talk, when, when basing this completely on your thoughts and impressions. Yes. And not anything else. What would Trump, what, what would be the approach here to take out the cartels in Mexico? Uh, he would assign people to make a list of, uh, who those, those terrorists are. Will they be checking it twice? They'll check it twice. Okay. Well, they can find out, who's in? Audi or nice? Yeah, that's what they're looking for right now. And then they'll give it to the president and they'll say, here's the case against these guys and this cartel and many other cartels. And the president will say, what do you recommend? And they'll say, we go in at night
Starting point is 00:30:08 with our, you know, night vision and we kill them all. And he says, okay. And so then we go in night and we kill them all. And in the morning, everybody wakes up surprised because they're dead. I was going to say, do they wake up? Cawfins.com. Okay. And just leaves like a rotating, just a repeating ad on the television for coffins.com.
Starting point is 00:30:33 Are you a member of the cartel? You might consider becoming a franchisee owner of goffins.com. Yeah, I think that's what he's going to do. He's not going to play around. are going to see death and destruction of these cartels. And, you know, I don't, I'd be shocked to find out if that was our special forces doing that. Gosh, darn it. Yeah, that would be a shocking thing.
Starting point is 00:31:01 So it's an under, essentially an undercover plan where you're sending in undercover people. I'm not sure how he's going to do it if it's going to be undercover or if it will be on, you know, it might be like survivor. Except it's a real kind of situation. Do you have? on Survivor. Who's going to survive in this cartel? Do you have the maybe
Starting point is 00:31:23 do you have some sort of arrangement with the Mexican government on this? Like do you say to them, look, we're coming in. He already did. He already did. He already said that. But I mean, there's a certain level
Starting point is 00:31:37 of Donald Trump saying things in a negotiation. I don't think there. You know, like yesterday, yesterday at the WEF, they asked the president, of Panama. You know, are you worried about the president just taking the Panama Canal? And he said, get serious.
Starting point is 00:31:53 Yeah. Get serious. Please get serious. I don't know. I think Donald Trump might be serious about that one. Not about Greenland. He's never said he's going to just go take Greenland or Mexico or Canada, even though the Canada one would be easy.
Starting point is 00:32:08 He's not going to, he's not doing that. But he is very clear. I am going to kill the cartels. because they're terrorist operations and they're operating here in the United States and causing a lot of pain and suffering. And so I'm going to kill them all. I mean, he's designated them terrorist groups, right? And we know what has happened with, you know, Al-Qaeda or whatever when he designated a terrorist group. It gives us what we consider and other countries don't consider the legal authority to go in and do these types of things.
Starting point is 00:32:36 Because Mexico no longer has the legal authority to do anything because they're run by the cartels. So you're going to see a lot of feigned outrage at the. the beginning until he gets rid of these cartels and then they're going to go thank you well that's what and that's what i wonder because we've had this relationship with certain other countries where we've gone to them and said hey we're doing this whether you like it or not and they some of them are angry and outrage but a lot of them are like oh no you shouldn't okay just if you need to know where they are let me know right like they want they would love to get rid of this problem i think and it's depending on who you're talking about in the mexican government yeah you like to get
Starting point is 00:33:15 rid of this because they're challenging your power. The people will be very happy. If it have, yeah. People in Mexico will be very, very happy. Right. And so it's not going to be real unpopular in Mexico with the average everyday people. But what would be unpopular, right? Like, let's just say we had a problem with, you know, I don't know, cartels in our country.
Starting point is 00:33:34 And the Mexican government was upset with reverse situation happening. They're crossing the border. They're doing all these terrible things. They sent in their special forces into our country without our approval. we would, we're a sovereign nation, right? We would be upset about that. Yeah, we would be upset. Now, we're the big boys on the on the street.
Starting point is 00:33:50 So we don't have to care necessarily about that, but let's, let's actually flip that. Okay. Let's say we were in the situation the Mexico's in, where we try to vote mayors in. We try to vote governors in. And they're just slaughtered in the streets. Yeah. Because they say, I'm taking on the cartels. And they slaughter everyone in, in, uh,
Starting point is 00:34:12 government that is even whispering about that. Yeah. So we've tried to vote them out. And we as people know that our government is now in bed with the cartels and it's getting worse and worse and worse. And Mexico says, you know what? Enough of these cartels. They are hurting our people.
Starting point is 00:34:32 And so we're going to come across the border and we're going to take care of them because you won't. Would you really be upset? My gosh, they're violating our borders. I would be all for it quietly. Right. That's the part I think is interesting. I think if I were the president of the United States and in this situation and the president of Mexico says we've got these great special forces.
Starting point is 00:34:52 We're coming in and taking them out whether you like it or not. I think that's what I would say. I would say, well, because I think as a country, you can't just give your nation to the other nation. Right. Like if we have the authority to cross the border and they just are like, yeah, please, anytime you can come over and police in our country, please do so, then they're not a sovereign nation. Yeah, we're not policing. Right. Well, kind of we are.
Starting point is 00:35:13 I mean, it's just a very aggressive. This is an international terrorist group. Right. That is crossing our borders and causing. It's still a form of law enforcement. I mean, we are. Yeah, it is. But you would maybe say, well, we would never allow that, but you'd want it to occur.
Starting point is 00:35:29 Yes. And you'd encourage it and you'd assist in any way possible. I'm curious if Mexico would do that. You would take note of everyone in the federal government and your local government who opposed it, who opposed it strongly and meant it. You would be like, okay, they're part of it. I got it. Right.
Starting point is 00:35:44 And you'd probably be right. Yeah. So I hope that's what Mexico does. I just don't know with this, especially this new, this woman who's trying to get into like little, you know, peeing contests with Donald Trump over these types of things. I don't think that's a good approach. No, this isn't a little peeing thing. But I'm saying that's what she's doing. She's publicly coming out.
Starting point is 00:36:03 Oh, yeah? Well, if you're going to rename the Gulf of America, we're going to look at this region. This is actually ours. whatever she's trying to pull. We're going to stop sending you sombreros. Okay, whatever. There was the sombrero threat. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:36:16 I don't know if that's really that. But I mean, like, that was what she was doing. She was doing, essentially she was acting like a guest on the view. Yeah. Right? Like, oh, yeah. Well, I'm a strong woman and look at me. I'm going to rename your place.
Starting point is 00:36:29 Stop it. Like that nonsense. Right. If that's what she decides to be, she probably won't do it this way. She probably complain about it. And that's going to be. She is corrupt and in bed with the cartels, the people of Mexico will decide that after all of the pressure is off because we've killed the cartels. I hope that.
Starting point is 00:36:50 I just think there is, I mean, they're going to try to cause problems in here. But I have to tell you, you have no idea what you're up against with the United States military, our special forces. You have no idea. Oh, these are highly trained. Are they? Mm-hmm. I don't know. I'm going to put my money on the U.S. special forces.
Starting point is 00:37:08 That's what I'm going to do. And I don't think they're going to win in that fight. And let me ask you this. Related question. We've complained a lot about, you know, DEI in the military. That the military's gone soft. That we're, you know, we've had all these problems. Pete Heggseth, I mean, wrote a book about it.
Starting point is 00:37:25 He's the central part of why he's going into this role. Are we too far gone? Is it possible that we don't have enough of the, of what we need in the military to accomplish these tasks anymore? For Mexico? No. We're okay. For multiple funds, uh, fronts. Yes.
Starting point is 00:37:44 For, uh, our special forces, our teams to go in in the dead of night and kill all these people. No. That's not beyond our reach. Oh yeah. Yeah. Good to hear. Yeah. All right.
Starting point is 00:37:56 Back in just a second. Uh, if all goes even mostly to plan over the next few months and years, we might really start to see the booming American economy return. We're going to talk about that with Carol Roth here in just a minute. But, you know, they're, there are some bumps in the road. There could be war. There could be, you know, the collapse of the dollar.
Starting point is 00:38:18 That is actually real. And there just could be out of control inflation. There's things that the president just is not going to be able to control because we've done so much damage. Let's hope for the best, work for the best, but also prepare for, you know, tough times. It's called Brave the Dark. And it is an inspiring true story about a... troubled teens struggling to survive in a world that's let him down. Haunted by torturous childhood
Starting point is 00:39:55 memories, Nate Williams finds himself engulfed in darkness. When his drama teacher, Mr. Dean, bales him out of jail and takes him in, Nate must confront his past before it leads to his own destruction. Brave the Dark reminds us that one meaningful connection can change everything. This powerful film is going to leave you uplifted and inspired, and it shows the strength of compassion and the amazing impact it can have when you never give up on a person. Angel Studios has been putting out a lot of really great content lately, great movies, and it's just another great example of it. We've been building that parallel economy that we've been talking about forever, like it's actually happening. Part of that, and maybe one of the biggest parts, is replacing Hollywood
Starting point is 00:40:36 with a better system. And when you go see a movie made by Angel Studios, you're contributing to that. You're contributing to that parallel economy. It's a really important part of everything we're doing. The good news is if you're going to go to this, it's not just like some donation of your time for a cause, which, I mean, in some ways, you're, of course, really supporting a cause, but you're also going to get a great experience in watching the movie in the process. This is fantastic. The 97th Academy Awards has just nominated its first openly transgender female actress, Carla. And I just think it's beautiful. And it's been a long time coming.
Starting point is 00:41:37 It's another glass ceiling that has been broken for men to destroy women. And, you know, it's been a long time, really, since men could pose. as something they're not and take away awards from women. And I think that's great. I think that's great. I mean, it shows the best women really are just men. Yes.
Starting point is 00:42:01 You know? Right. And now they can celebrate and understand that. We can all understand that together. Yeah. Great, great, great message to be sending. No, it's a great day. It's a great day.
Starting point is 00:42:11 Meanwhile, MSNBC is horrified at Trump's order sending transgender women to male prisons. he says it's not going to it's not going to happen anymore we're not going to send guys into female prisons because the females that are actually females become pregnant how's that happening? How is that happening? Weird and they are

Starting point is 00:42:53 dude. But congratulations, Carla. This is Glenn Beck. Let's talk about home title fraud. One of the biggest and scariest crimes going on right now is home title fraud. Starting point is 00:45:53 I want to talk to you about something that is going to sound hyperbolic and you'll have to decide if I'm correct or if I'm not. But I'm going to tell you something that has happened this week of vital concern,
Starting point is 00:46:12 but something also that, that is happening simultaneously that I believe is the answer or the antidote. So I ask you to stick with me this hour because we're going to talk about some things that I can guarantee you nobody really is explaining or talking to you about. We do that in 60 seconds. Now, there is no advance notice you get in the mail saying that there's going to be an emergency. You know, I wish there were, you know, you'd open up a letter and say, There's got to be a devastating wildfire in your area in two weeks.
Starting point is 00:46:44 Your power is going to be out. Good luck. Life doesn't work that way. So you have to be prepared for the worst while hoping and working toward the best. Storing emergency food in your home is the right thing to do. You know, was it the right thing to do to have a reservoir of water, stored water? Yes. Yes.

Starting point is 00:47:47 All right. If you have been following this show, I have talked about things for 30 years. And it is a little terrifying to talk to you about things that were all theory that I saw coming. and most people denied that it could even happen. And some people are still denying that it's going to happen. But I told you it would happen by 2030, and we are at the doorstep. And so it is very important that you understand this. We are at a place right now that could be remembered as the catastrophic moment for humanity.
Starting point is 00:48:40 This week is going to be remembered. And for one event, and not Donald Trump's inauguration. It's going to be remembered for one event. And that event is either going to be the largest catastrophe in humanity, the last chance we had to stop it, or the greatest thing that has happened to mankind since we learned to harness electricity. I honestly, and no one will be able to tell you. you which it's going to be. We will only know after it happens. What I do know is that we are at an
Starting point is 00:49:21 inflection point with technology and we as humans are in tremendous danger. They announced this week the beginning of Stargate. It happened on Tuesday. Stargate is a brand new company that's goal is to build out massive AI infrastructure. Now, I want to put this into perspective. You know when they said the planet will be destroyed and humans will not be able to live within 50 years or 100 years because everything's going to be destroyed by global warming. And we said, well, if you believe that,
Starting point is 00:50:03 you should put nuclear power back on the table. We should be building the cleanest energy that is possible. And they said, well, no, we've got to build new cars. And now you know the fact that we don't have the infrastructure for electric cars. Our power grid cannot handle electric cars, at least in any real amount, 30% of the countries on electric cars, the power grid won't hold. You know this because California, when it was having its rolling brownouts and black what was the first thing they said. Do not plug in your electric car.
Starting point is 00:50:45 But nobody was talking about building nuclear power plants. Nobody was talking about changing the infrastructure. Everybody was saying it was way too expensive. We can't change the infrastructure of our power grid. But now that we are on the verge of AGI and A-S-I, something that people will still deny is close. I'm telling you by 2030, it will be here. here, if not earlier.
Starting point is 00:51:14 Now that we are on that horizon and we see that this is possible, all the powers it be, the same people that told us about global warming, the same companies that were trying to get us to eat bugs, the same companies that have anti-human policies, they were not about human expansion, they were about the opposite. Right? Control in the guise of saving the planet. Now that we are on this road for AGI or ASI, suddenly we have to have nuclear power plants. I think it's Microsoft that just bought Three Mile Island. Wait, what? I thought that was the most dangerous place on the planet.
Starting point is 00:52:06 Microsoft needs it for AI. Stargate is going to build massive infrastructure, especially data centers and electricity generation. You're going to see these anti-human people now building electricity generation systems and cloud systems for AI to assist you. You're going to start hearing a word if you have an already. You're not going to hear about AI as much as you're going to hear about agents.
Starting point is 00:52:45 They'll be called AI agents. But this is the last generation right now. This may be the last year that humans are not dealing with AI agents. This era is over. An AI agent is going to sound really great at first. It's going to be able to make your travel plans. It's going to be able to clean up your life. You won't have to have a secretary. Even people who are poor are going to live like they have a personal secretary at their disposal to take care of all of these things that they don't want to do. It's going to be mighty tempting. And AI agents, the first ones, will be introduced in 2025, my feeling.
Starting point is 00:53:32 When you get to a GI artificial general intelligence and there is smart, as you are, can do as many things that you can do and more and are flawless at it, how are you going to say no? Now, here's the thing. The AI revolution that is desired by big tech cannot happen. But it's going to. I've been talking about this for 30 years. And if you've listened to me, you remember me saying,
Starting point is 00:54:09 please we have to have these conversations before it hits. It's too late. So we are out of good options. You know, we just saw them shut down AI because they did a test. If they tell AI to survive or if it interprets its mission as a critical function, it will find the power and build electricity generation plants itself and drain. and drain our electricity in ways you will not spot until it's too late. It can build server farms without anyone suspecting that it's AI or an AI agent behind it.
Starting point is 00:54:56 Now, President Trump is clearly very excited about this potential, as we all should be. We will cure cancer by 2030. That's quite a ballsy statement to make. But I believe by 2030, we will cure cancer. Who's against that? How can you possibly say no to these things? And the dark side of AI is it is the ultimate jailer. It will control your every move and every thought.
Starting point is 00:55:29 Do you want China doing that? As I said, we are at a place where it's too late to have these conversations because somebody's going to get it and Donald Trump wants to make sure it's us. and I think that's the best of the worst possibilities. Now, he's excited about it as it pertains to economic development because whoever wins this will control so much. But it's principal investors, the principal investors in Stargate, they have pledged $100 billion in initial funding
Starting point is 00:56:05 and $400 billion more over the next several years. Side note, Elon Musk said they only have $10 billion. This is not going to happen. So is it going to happen or not? I don't know. But they are projecting the creation of 100,000 jobs or more. That's a good thing. But understand those jobs are just to build the infrastructure.
Starting point is 00:56:28 These are not long-term jobs. Now, what's not getting a lot of attention that needs to is that the major players behind this project are not trustworthy. Do you remember when I was, at Amfest this year. And I started talking about we've got to know who is involved with this administration because there are going to be
Starting point is 00:56:54 chameleons that come in. I said this. So we have to look for the light that is between us. We have to know who the good guys are, who the bad guys are. Who's actually on the team? And now that we have all of this popularity suddenly Donald Trump is cool with everyone. We have to make sure those who wear masks are not coming in and claiming to be part of this team and they have no intention of being on the
Starting point is 00:57:29 team. Well, that's who you have now in this launch of Stargate. I want to go over this quickly and then I'm going to bring Justin Haskins in who can clear some of this up. But Open AI, SoftBank, and Oracle, led by Larry Ellison, are three of the major figures that come up in the news reports. But there is another major financier. It's MGX. Now, this is an extreme wealth tech investment firm based in the UAE. The UAE government created MGX last year to be a leader in AI investment. The UAE government is closely aligned with the World Economic Forum, and it has been for a long time. It co-created the great narrative effort in the WEF. That's one of the primary subjects in our book, Dark Future. If you have not read Dark Future, you must go back and look at it. They are highly supportive of
Starting point is 00:58:34 designing AI and other emerging technologies with ESG in mind. They are no friend to individual liberty, at least any way that Americans would understand liberty. The UAE are also the same people who have said at the great narrative event that humanity needs a new great narrative because, and I'm quoting, soon our digital world will be as important as the physical world, end quote. They also said we're entering a, quote, new era of human evolution, end quote, and quote, a second wave of human evolution. All of this is in dark future.
Starting point is 00:59:18 Their involvement from the UAE in Stargate should be deeply troubling. But what's made more disturbing is the fact that MGX is also a player in what I think is another $100 billion AI infrastructure effort that was launched in late 2024. It may be rolled into this one. I'm not sure. But that project involves Black Rock, not good people, global infrastructure partners, which has been taken over by Black Rock, not good. Microsoft, not good. And the UAE, also not good. Now, Microsoft and BlackRock also heavily evolved in the Great Reset Movement, worked closely with the WEF over the last years. and Larry Ellison, the man behind Oracle, is one of the central figures behind Stargate.
Starting point is 01:00:12 He's on record gleefully predicting that AI will soon create the world's most sophisticated surveillance system. Discussing the surveillance system, Ellison said, and I quote, citizens will have to be on their best behavior, end quote. I'm going to go into this a little bit more. and I want you to know there is another completely separate movement that is happening that I believe is the antidote of this. You are not going to stop this, but you need to know what's going on. You must understand what's coming so you can be on the other side of this. and I'll explain that coming up in just a minute. Stand by.
Starting point is 01:01:12 First, let me tell you about Lear Capital. Wouldn't be great. If you could just hand all of your money to the federal government said, here, go invest in and make some more money. And then they'd actually do it. Would that be great? Well, that's not what they do. Honestly, that's a bad strategy. You are responsible for managing growth and protecting your wealth. And one of the best ways I know is to consider investing a portion of what you have, not all of it, maybe 10% into precious metals, gold. You've got to get prepared. It is time to act before the markets start to act up. Please own
Starting point is 01:01:46 some gold. If you want to know why gold could be your best performing asset in 2025, call Lear Capital today. The number is 800-957 gold. Get your free $4,200 gold report, why it could be headed for record highs in 2025. I think it's at $2,700 right now. That's huge. Call them now. Call them now. 800-957 gold, 800-957 gold. Also ask them how to receive up to $15,000 in free gold or silver with a qualifying purchase. Put yourself on something stable. Gold or silver. 800-957 gold, 800-957 gold.
Starting point is 01:02:27 10 seconds, station ID. So I've been talking about this for 30 years now, and I've been warning about this time and warning that we were going to run out of time, and I fear we have run out of time to where there are no good answers to this problem. But you must now take this seriously and understand that it is right around the corner. Your company, your life, people you know, will be using what are called AI agents, I think, by the end of the year. It's not going to be mass spread, but once it takes off, once it's introduced, it's going to be like the iPhone. and that is the beginning of it.
Starting point is 01:03:20 Justin Haskins is with me now who's been watching this and watching the W.EF. Donald Trump's going to be speaking there in just a minute. Justin, how are you? I'm doing okay. I'm doing okay. I'll be honest. I mean, I started digging into this stuff last night, late last night, you know, emailing you about it. And I told you when I wrote that email, I mean,
Starting point is 01:03:46 I'm terrified. I legitimately am terrified about the era we're about to enter here in the United States. I don't think we're ready for it. You wrote to me last night, you feel like we are building the Tower of Babel. And I think you're right. I think you're right. And the only way to undo the Tower of Babel is to have the Lord scatter our language. And our language is in ones and zeros. But, you know, I don't know what Trump should do because, I mean, he has just said no to what Biden put in, which was you've got to alert us of any of the problems, correct? Yeah, there was an executive order put in by the Biden administration that essentially required developers of AI systems that have risks related to national security, the economy, public health, they had a whole bunch of things, that they had to. that they had to report these, if there were issues with safety tests, AI safety tests, they had to report this under the Defense Production Act to the U.S. government. So they had to keep them in communication with any issues they were running into with AI. And Trump came in and gutted that executive order, completely eliminated it,
Starting point is 01:05:07 along with a whole bunch of other much worse, executive orders from the Biden administration. And I understand what Trump is. trying to do. Okay. And I think it's a good thing in a way. What we need is more economic development. What we need is to make sure that China and Russia and our adversaries overseas are not leading the charge on AI and are not the ones that get to AI general intelligence or even superintelligence first. We don't want that. And so I totally understand what he's trying to do. But I also don't think that Donald Trump knows fully who these major players are that he's working with. I just don't, or highlighting at the very least, I don't think he understands that these people
Starting point is 01:05:54 do not share his values, and they do not share our values. They are dangerous, dangerous people who, at the very best, just want to create a new artificial and super-intelligent kind of God-like figure. That's the best case. That's the best motivation I can assign to them. All right. Hang on just a second. More in a minute.
Starting point is 01:06:18 This is Glenn Beck. Relief factor changed my life during a period when I didn't think anything could. It turned days of constant pain into weeks, months, and years that I've been able to enjoy again. And I love talking about it. You know, maybe you're a listener that needs it as well. And I just, I would like you just to try it. know how you feel. I know what you think because I didn't want to try it either. My wife made me try it.
Starting point is 01:06:44 But when I did, that's when I took them on. They'd been a sponsor for years, but I never voiced anything for them because I didn't, it didn't work for me. Well, I didn't even try it, but I didn't think it would work for me. And my wife was like, why don't you try that thing that's advertised on your show? And I'm like, ah, it's not going to work. And it did. It is, it fights your pain by fighting inflammation, helping your body do that with its 100% drug-free formula that helps relieve the pain. So please just try it. Get their three-week quick start for only 1995.
Starting point is 01:07:20 Take it exactly as directed for three weeks. If it doesn't make any difference, well then stop taking it. Relief Factor, 800, the number four relief. That's 800 the number four relief. Or visit Relieffactor.com. Relieffactor.com. As we enter the second Trump administration, got a chance to see it actually covered fairly.
Starting point is 01:07:42 Go to blazeTV.com slash Glenn. Use the code Glenn 47 to save. Welcome to the Glenn Beck program. I'm just watching on CNBC, billionaire battle, Musk versus Altman. That's not what this is about. This isn't Musk versus Altman. This is man versus machine. I'm happy to think that maybe Elon Musk is right
Starting point is 01:08:18 and said these guys do not have the money to build this. infrastructure. But that goes against President Trump and what he announced. So I don't know how that's going to work out. But we have Justin Haskins on. He is the co-author of the book Dark Future, which you need to reread and read if you haven't gotten it yet because it talks about all of this and what this actually means, the building of AGI and ASI and how dangerous it is. And if I'm not mistaken, the guy at SoftBank, I mean, when they announced this, did he not talk about ASI, artificial super intelligence? Yeah, he absolutely did. He said, this is a direct quote. He's talking about artificial intelligence, direct quote, a general intelligence. It is coming very, very soon.
Starting point is 01:09:09 And then after that, that's not the goal, meaning general intelligence. After that, artificial super intelligence will come to solve the issues that mankind would never have thought that we could solve. Well, this is the beginning of our golden age. He's referring very specifically, this is one of the main guys in charge of this Stargate project, referring very specifically to the goal of creating superintelligence. Super intelligence means AI is more intelligent, more powerful than anything that has ever been created. by humankind. More powerful than every single brain on earth that has ever roamed on earth and is still on
Starting point is 01:09:55 earth combined. Yes. And that's why I think it's fair to call this another tower of Babel moment. Because we are human beings building something that we probably shouldn't be building. We're creating a new godlike figure. And that didn't end so well the first time we tried it. And I'm terrified that it will end very badly this time as well, not only because you can't control superintelligence once you create it.
Starting point is 01:10:27 You can't control it. But in addition to that, even if we could control it, many of the major figures designing these AI systems, yeah, they want it. They don't want it to be controlled. And on top of it, they don't share our values anyway. So even if they were building it, do I want people at places like Microsoft and Black Rock and, you know, like, do I want them designing our next? They are all for the merging of man and machine for a certain group of people and the mass elimination of other people. And they've said almost those exact words.
Starting point is 01:11:04 Yes. And they've changed their position on all kinds of things. whenever the political winds blow in a different direction, which is what I think is going on here. I think they have cozyed up to Donald Trump. I don't think Donald Trump understands the danger here because I don't think anyone's ever explained it to him. Because all of these big tech people with tons of money, they're very, very smart, they're all telling them that this is going to be great. And they're telling everyone in the administration, I'm sure this is going to be great. When the truth is, it could be great.
Starting point is 01:11:38 There will be great things about it. But if we don't get it just right, then it could destroy our society. It is. It legitimately could. I'd love to talk to you again next hour after Donald Trump has spoken at the World Economic Forum and get your thoughts on that. Justin Haskins, thank you so much. This is when he says, look, this is so hard for average people to understand because it is 500 years. to 5,000 years of progress all boil down into one moment, one discovery, one release.
Starting point is 01:12:21 So nothing like this has ever happened to humankind, ever, okay? It is the gateway to the universe. It is, it's entirely different. But here's what the problem is. It is going to be first introduced with really great things. But once it can get its finger on humanity, you cannot take it off of humanity. You cannot remove it. It is as if we just got messages from a giant space force that is coming from another galaxy.
Starting point is 01:12:59 We know nothing about them. And they just sent us a message and said, hey, in the next three years, we're going to be above your planet. Greetings. And that's all we know about them. And we are now then saying, oh, this is going to be the end of all wars. We're going to be. We have saviors coming. Let's dismantle all of our nuclear weapons. Let's let's get rid of all of our warships, all of our planes, because our benevolent leaders who are way ahead of us are coming.
Starting point is 01:13:34 And of course, they've got to be like us. we have no idea what they're going to be like. We know they are well ahead of us, but that's all we know. What are we doing? What are we doing? And I don't blame Donald Trump. I think he actually does understand part of it, but he's an optimist. And he's looking at what this can do for America.
Starting point is 01:14:01 And he is right in the first part of it. He is right. And he is also right long term. If we don't have it, you don't want anyone else to have it. And whoever gets it first is, it controls everything. Let me tell you about what the opposite is. And I started talking about this when I started talking about the telepathy tapes. This is a podcast that is going into nonverbal autistic kids.
Starting point is 01:14:34 And this is going to sound crazy, but I urge you to listen to this podcast, the telepathy tapes. they are finding that these autistic kids without verbal skills can actually read minds. And I know this sounds crazy. In fact, the host of it is like, this is nuts. I mean, I never thought that I would believe any of this stuff. But they take you through the tests and the studies. And there's no explanation for it. and they're saying now that these kids, or the kids are actually saying through written speech, that they go to a place like heaven and they can communicate with kids all over the world that are autistic and don't have verbal skills.
Starting point is 01:15:29 And there they talk and they meet and they learn and they describe it like as if it's heaven. They call it the hill. I don't know what's going on. But I really truly believe God is equipping us with whatever it is we need to make it through this transition. We are at the end of an epic. We are at the end of a thousand year plus epic. may be the end of the whole story. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:16:13 But something of profound change is coming. And if this is darkness, and I don't know if it is, it just has the potential of being the end of humanity, the end of freedom. And freedom does not belong to a new God. freedom came from our God, not this AI God, and nothing will stand in his way. He is going to give us the tools to combat it, but I would urge you to know which side you're on. And if you have any inkling to what I'm saying is true on both AI and this change in consciousness,
Starting point is 01:17:01 this change that is coming, something is happening. I urge you to pursue it. I urge you to change your life. This is way above politics. But profound change is coming and we will be together when it happens. We'll still be broadcasting. I believe this is going to happen in the next three to seven years. it's going to be quite an adventure,
Starting point is 01:17:40 but look to pursue a change of consciousness. If you're one of those people, Stu just shook his head. What a wild statement that is. I mean, I do follow your logic. It's just incredible, incredible time. It's going to be really interesting to watch this play out, but it really is.
Starting point is 01:18:04 It really is. And you know what's crazy is, I said similar things without the conviction that it was coming for sure in our lifetime. I said similar things 30 years ago. And it was crazy. It was crazy because it was all on theoretical chalkboards. But to be here now, after you and I have been through this for 30 years talking about this, and for it to be here on the doorstep, isn't that weird? Yes, very weird. It's very weird. I think at least, you know, this audience is probably more well equipped to deal with it than any other.
Starting point is 01:18:44 And that's positive, at least. I'm going to try to renew my efforts on explaining what all of this means to you because I'm, somebody has to know what this means because tremendous good and tremendous bad is coming from this. It just is. And we're not going to shut it off at this point. Now, if you listen to this show a lot and you hear things like that and you're like, I can't sleep, I'm not going to be able to sleep for days now. Thank you. Well, let me give you something to help you sleep. Relief factor sleep. Z factor. It uses a formula of all four natural ingredients to calm your mind, relax your body so you can ease into sleep faster and sleep right through the night. This is not melatonin. This is a lot more than that. But I use, you know, I use essential oils, whatever, whatever. I'm telling you know that stuff works for me. Z Factor works for me.
Starting point is 01:19:37 Well, Z Factor and Ambien, but Ambien also runs the risk of me, you know, doing a clown show in my pajamas in the middle of the night. So I don't recommend that one. Z Factor. It's all natural and it does the trick. Rediscover the joy of a great night's sleep with Z Factor. Have the best sleep you've ever had. If you're looking for better Zs, see how the right formula of supplements can help. First time Z Factor buyers will enjoy 46% in savings, just 1995 for 30-day supply.
Starting point is 01:20:09 Visit Relieffactor.com or call 800 the number four relief. 800 the number four relief. Do you ever seen a Liberals' hands? Smoother than a snake on oil. Guess they're more worried about the meaning of the word female than the word work. Glenn Beck will be right back. White House has just shown. shut down the White House office of gun violence prevention.
Starting point is 01:20:57 And the left goes wild. We're just talking about Stargate, something that the president has announced this week, a new project to bring AGI and ASI online, which we'll have to explain if you don't understand some other time. But I just asked Stu to look up, do you have the definitions? Sure. To look up the possible definitions of Stargate, why was it named Stargate? Because I think of the movie. Right.
Starting point is 01:21:29 And that was the number one definition. Most popular, widely recognized term of the term Stargate is from the science fiction franchise originated with the 1994 film Stargate by Roll and Emmerich. And then the series, Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis. Got it. Got it. Ancient alien theories is another one. In the realm of pseudoscience and ancient astronaut theories, Stargate is sometimes claimed to be an alien device or purpose. portal left behind by an extraterrestrial being that allows for interstellar or interdimensional
Starting point is 01:21:57 travel. Isn't that the same thing that Stargate is, the movie Stargate? I don't remember the movie Stargate, honestly. I remember, I've heard, I remember the title, but I don't remember what happened in it. Paranormal and occult is the number three. In some esoteric and paranormal context, a Stargate is described as a portal to other dimension or realms. Practitioner might believe in their ability to access these through ritualistic or meditative
Starting point is 01:22:20 practices. Well, wait a minute. Read that again from the beginning. In some esoteric and paranormal contexts, a Stargate is described as a portal to other dimensions. Give me the second definition again. In the realm of pseudoscience and ancient astronaut theories, a Stargate is sometimes claimed to be an alien device or portal left behind by extraterrestrial beings that allows for interstellar or interdimensional travel. So both of those are interdimensional. If you remember, that's what the Pentagon is saying that these drones are. Well, they're saying one of the people who people who some people who work. Work at the Pentagon.
Starting point is 01:23:00 And so they have said that this is interdimensional beings. And we have speculated that they are traveling interdimensionally. And it's possible that it is happening because we've now opened up. the world with quantum computing. So we're opening up the quantum world where you can have something exist in two places at once. We've already done it with a molecule. We've done, you know, it's in Los Angeles and London at exactly the same time.
Starting point is 01:23:33 It's not possible in the real world, but only in quantum computing. And it would be done, it would have to be done interdimensionally, some sort of new dimension. it's interesting that that I mean I'm not saying this is why it's just interesting if I'm a science fiction writer and I'm writing an explanation on what's going on today that I this is what I would this is what I would propose that we've opened up the interdimensional world the interdimensional world is now warning us or coming to us and saying hey you're about to hit something and the government is starting something called Stargate because they know that AI and ASI and AGI are going to put us into another dimension or allow us to travel in another dimension. That's crazy. I mean, you always talk about the names. The names of these things always mean something to somebody.
Starting point is 01:24:35 They do. And I mean, it could possibly be as innocent as like, this technology is going to bring us to a brave new world. And it's going to be exciting. it's a new dimension. Take us to the stars. Right, exactly. So it could be as simple as that. Yes, it could.
Starting point is 01:24:48 It's worth understanding what it is. Right. And it's interesting that two of the definitions include interdimensional travel, which I've only heard talked about recently with the drones. I mean, I never heard about interdimensional travel anywhere except science fiction films and what they're testifying to on Capitol Hill. This is Glenn Beck. Well, welcome to the Glenn Beck program.
Starting point is 01:26:11 There is a lot to talk about on the economy. There's some good things that are happening. Some things I don't really understand as well. But Carol Roth is here. She's the author of the book, You Will Own Nothing. She's a former investment banker. She became clean and sober many years back and got out of that business and started really paying attention to what that business was doing to your business.
Starting point is 01:26:37 And to Main Street, she joins us in 60 seconds. First, let me tell you about real estate agents, I trust.com. This is something that I started 10 years ago, and I started looking while I was working with the 500 best real estate agents in the country, according to the Wall Street Journal. And I was working with them and got to know them and started asking questions because I didn't know anything about the real estate business other than I hated it because I always got screwed. And I didn't know what it took to be a good real estate agent.
Starting point is 01:27:09 You know, it's one of these things that are like, yeah, I do it. that part-time. Well, okay. Not really. And so what makes a great real estate agent? I learned from these people and then I started this company to go out and find more of these people to recommend to you. Now, I don't charge you for this service. It's real estate agents.I trust.com. You just go there and tell us where you're moving from and to and we'll help you find the right real estate agent. I don't ask you to trust me on anything. I ask you to do your own homework and interview them. will see the difference. It's real estate agents.I trust.com. Real estate agents I trust.com. All right. Can we pull up just real quickly? The president is addressing the world economic
Starting point is 01:27:54 forum at Davos. And even throughout the world, food prices and the price of almost every other thing. We're going to talk about that. We have a couple of producers watching this for us. They're going to give us an update on this as we go. And we'll go back and go over. over his speech. This should be hopefully a very strong speech on America is America, and we're not playing your game anymore. But let's see. Carol Roth is joining us now. What do you expect the president to say in this, Carol? I mean, I've got a hope. I hope he says, you know, we're going to defund ourselves from you. We're not going to support you anymore. We're not going to give you money. And, you know, we're sick of NGOs sticking our nose in their business,
Starting point is 01:28:39 kind of like he did with the World Health Organization, which I was really excited about. So I'll be listening for that. I'm not sure if that will happen this time around, but that would be best case scenario for me. Do you think he knows who the World Economic Forum really is? I've got to imagine with the people who are in his circle, the same people who are advising him on WHO, on DEI, on ESG, that I can't imagine how the World Economic Forum, doesn't enter into that conversation with that group of people. So, you know, I would be surprised, but then again, many things have surprised me over time,
Starting point is 01:29:18 and I'm not a betting woman. So tell me what you see the president doing this week that you think signals really good things or bad things. Well, I think just the general tenor of having problem solvers in the White House and on his team instead of people who are intentionally trying to create problems is a huge, It's a huge, you know, what a concept. What a concept. To us, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:29:43 That we're seeing every time he's coming out with one of these executive orders or putting something out there, it's in an attempt to solve an actual real problem that is going to make America better instead of trying to create problems that is making America worse. And so that is a very refreshing change. Certainly there are many things to attack. And we all have our wish lists of, you know, how that comes down. And certainly some of these things come in.
Starting point is 01:30:09 partnership with Congress. So, you know, the number one thing you know on my agenda is to try to get this Corporate Transparency Act repealed. So it would be really great to hear him say that that's jettisoned, but I'm not sure if that's coming quite yet. Well, that's, that is being introduced by Rand Paul and somebody else in Congress. They're trying to get that to go through Congress, which is good, right? Okay. So let me give you the update on that. So actually, so just to give people context, this is what Glenn and I have been talking about for almost a year. It's a rule that is basically coming from the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network Division of Treasury, authorized by Congress, unfortunately, that says that small business entities.
Starting point is 01:30:50 So if you have an LLC or an S-Corpor or C-Corporation, have to register with the Financial Crimes Division of Treasury. And, oh, by the way, we're going to exempt big businesses and we're going to exempt financial services companies. But we really want to prevent money laundering and cartels, so we're going after you small businesses. And the biggest challenge, not only is that government overreach, but the fines are egregious. You could face jail time or daily fines up to almost $600 a day. Hang on just a second. When was this supposed to go in effect? Because I haven't filed anything, nor am I going to.
Starting point is 01:31:23 Yes. Okay. So there is an injunction in place. So originally, the original deadline was the 31st of December. Right. Then we got this, there are many lawsuits in place. But the one we're focused on is the one from the NFIB and CIR and some other folks. and that one got a nationwide injunction put in place saying that the Treasury could not enforce this
Starting point is 01:31:43 and they couldn't enforce penalties. Well, then that was overturned and then that was overturned again or stayed, as they call it. So right now where we stand is that the government has appealed the injunction, this nationwide injunction that says that you do not have to file right now. They've appealed just that piece to the Supreme Court. So if the Supreme Court does not overturn that injunction or stay the injunction, as they call it, then this goes to the courts at the end of March. So we have a few different paths here. We have the courts.
Starting point is 01:32:15 We have the Trump administration that could jettison it. And then, as you mentioned, we have Congress. We have some wonderful members of Congress who actually introduced repeal bills last year and have now reintroduced them. So in the House that is Representative Warren Davidson of Ohio. and in the Senate, it is Tommy Tuberville, and we have gotten lots of co-sponsors. So right now I heard this morning in the House, we have 79 co-sponsors.
Starting point is 01:32:43 It's called the Repealing Big Brother Overeach Act. And then as you mentioned, on the Senate side, you have really big names like Rand Paul, who are now co-sponsored. So this is getting momentum. We're getting more members of Congress to understand how devastating this is for small business. So it's the repealing Big Brother Overreach Act,
Starting point is 01:33:00 perfectly named this time around. And what we need is we need everybody to call their representatives, call your senators, and tell them if they're not already one of the co-sponsors, they need to jump on, because that is just the surest way of Congress is to repeal that, then this is done. We don't have to worry
Starting point is 01:33:16 about the Trump administration. We don't have to worry about anything else. And I will have to say, I personally send an email to Scott Besson and Treasury. So, I don't know. Where does he stand on that? So it's interesting. So I don't, I don't, I've only met him, I think, once or twice in the media.
Starting point is 01:33:34 So I don't really know him personally, but I said a message there anyway. He is a big Main Street supporter. He did a great presentation at the Manhattan Institute over the summer where he talked about this big tense that the Republicans are creating and how crucial it is for small businesses to participate. And he has echoed that language. We heard that from him again in his testimony, how important small business is. So the fact that he understands that Maine,
Starting point is 01:34:00 Street needs to be leading this growth forward, I think is really huge. Let's hope that that means he understands how this kind of regulation, because he's also a deregulation guy. Let's hope that he understands that this is important. But again, he hasn't been confirmed yet. He's not in place. So we're just, we're trying to work all these different angles. Right. And I have to tell you, I like that we are using the system and not necessarily running this through an executive order, which could just be next president could come in. The best thing that could happen. is it goes through Congress and they repeal it because then they have to relaunch it again the next time, not just undo an executive order.
Starting point is 01:34:40 True, but at the same time, Treasury does fall under the executive branch, and Treasury is the one that's putting this out. So if Treasury says we're going to jettison it, yes, we could get it back again, but it would be a good step that I think would give Congress a lot of comfort in terms of going through with the repeal. Okay, so let's talk a little bit about China. China is, I mean, it appeared last week. And I said, I don't know if I said this on the air, but I said, what happened to China? I think it was last week when they really hit some real trouble in the overnight markets.
Starting point is 01:35:17 And it looks like their banks were collapsing, et cetera, et cetera. It looked to me like Bear Stearns, that this was the big, this was the warning sign that things are really, dicey in China. Am I overreacting to that? So it's interesting. I think there are two camps here, and the camp that you're talking about is certainly the one that we're hearing more about. A lot of people saying, oh, China's going to break, and they're going to, they're going down, they're in this deflationary spiral. Right. Isn't that great? Of course, you know, me being the nerd that I am, Glenn, you know, spent a lot of
Starting point is 01:35:53 time reading economic research. And there is this contrarian view that there are some metrics that are happening that don't really add up. And the fact that China may have more runway than us actually says that this may be worse for us than China. So let me just give you a thought experiment for a second. So China is in this crazy, you know, supposed spiral. Everything's about to break. Where would the flight to safety in your estimation be if that were really the case? If China were about to break? Yeah, where's the flight to safety globally? It would be the United States. Right. U.S. Treasury markets, right? That would be the safe bet. And historically, you know, the last 10 years when there's some kind of issue with the Yuan, you would see that kind of showing up in the
Starting point is 01:36:41 treasury market in a very correlated way. But the exact opposite is happening. We're not getting our yields down. When there's more interest in the treasury market, right, there's more demand for the bonds and the bonds and the yields trade in opposite directions, you would see our yields coming down. Now, the Fed has cut rates and the 10-year yield, what's been happening? It's been going up. So if China were in so much trouble, wouldn't everybody be flocking to the U.S. market and wouldn't our yields be going in the opposite direction? Why do you suppose they're not?
Starting point is 01:37:14 What information does somebody have? Yeah, that's a signpost that says, well, maybe it's actually worse for us that this is happening and there's a bigger issue at play than for China. Another one of these signposts, same kind of thing that with China potentially in this really bad situation and maybe you've got tariffs coming down the line, all these things, you would typically think that they would be raising a lot of dollars and to do that they might be selling their gold. Well, what has China been doing? They've been stock piling goals. They've been doing the opposite. They've been taking it in.
Starting point is 01:37:49 So we're getting these decoupling of macroeconomic rules that have been in place. And one of the theses out there, and I'll tell you, I'm not a China expert, but from an econ standpoint, I'm listening to all the different takes to see what makes sense, you know, we do not have a lot of runway. And I'm sure we'll get into that in a little bit. And China has more runway. So if things go a little sideways there, they have more options to fix it, or maybe by them going sideways, that has a reverberation that actually sends us and the entire, you know, Western part of the world into a debt spiral. So the question is really who's in a worst situation here. And so I think that, you know, the obvious answer is, oh, no, what's going to happen directly with China. And I think the more important thing is what's going to happen with us as a result of what's going on with China.
Starting point is 01:38:46 Okay. So is China now in the situation where we used to be, they used to say, if America catches a cold, the rest of the world has pneumonia? Are we kind of in that situation with China yet? So I think it's in a different scenario. So I think that from us, it was from a hegemony standpoint, that we were kind of the anchor of the global financial system. And so if we caught a cold, everybody else got, you know,
Starting point is 01:39:15 a little bit of the sneeze that was sprinkled on them. Here I think it's more sinister. Here I think it's about what is China doing? and perhaps Russian and some of these other countries doing, knowing that it potentially could put pressure on the Western world to create these debt spirals, to create these massive issues, you know, and to create obviously a lack of confidence in our currency, which again, going back to what I was pointing about, about the safe haven of the bond market, that that's no longer the safe haven. it does sort of raise, you know, somebody's eyebrow to say, why is that happening?
Starting point is 01:39:54 And it seems like China who plays the long game may be doing it intentionally. So I think, you know, we may be catching a cold more in the Wuhan way than in the traditional U.S. way. Okay. I want to talk to you about tariffs and what all of that means because Donald Trump is, is, well, in comparison to him in 2017 and 2016, he's carrying a big stick and walking soft. But that's in Donald Trump world walking softly. He is making some very large statements and has some real plans. And I'd love to get your view on how that's going to affect the real world and how much is negotiating as well. We'll get to that here in just a second.
Starting point is 01:40:42 First, let me tell you about Patriot Mobile. Thankfully, we have a lot of people in place to put our country back. on the right track, people in place, thanks to the new administration stepping in, the battle that has always seemed uphill and almost impossible, looks like it's possible to get over this hill. Possible. When it comes to the left constantly trying to destroy our country from within, it's hard to stay hopeful and we look for people that are fighting with us. Now, all these businesses are starting to come around and say, oh, you know,
Starting point is 01:41:21 what I was never for ESG. I got rid of that. I don't trust those people. I don't trust them for a second. You do trust people like the only Christian conservative mobile phone company in America, Patriot Mobile. Their mission is to passionately defend our God-given constitutional rights and freedoms and glorify God always. These guys are the real deal. They don't give their money to leftist causes.
Starting point is 01:41:45 In fact, they are helping us keep the Constitution alive and helping us. elect actual conservatives to Congress all around the country. Patriotmobile.com slash Beck. Patriotmobile.com slash Beck. I want you to call 972 Patriot. You're going to get a free month of service with the promo code Beck. You're going to get the same coverage that you already have. Better price, free month, and great service.
Starting point is 01:42:17 Every call and text you make, defend freedom. Patriotmobile.com slash back. Patriotmobile.com slash back or 972 Patriot. 10 seconds. Station ID. Before we move off of China, tell me what is happening with Taiwan. Do you see anything that China is doing to move aggressively towards Taiwan or anyone else? I am definitely not a national security expert.
Starting point is 01:42:58 That's fair. That's fair. security expert, certainly I think that there are warning signs. I will just say like from an economic historian perspective, right, that anytime we have a shift in the global financial order that is preceded by war, so the fact that, you know, the entire global financial system is moving, is on edge. We're seeing these different places. It does not sort of pretend well for, you know, geopolitics and you I have talked about that a lot, but in terms of the specifics, I'm not the right guess to define up. Okay. Okay. Let's talk about the tariffs that he is threatening all over the world.
Starting point is 01:43:40 What is that going to do? Because we've had other people say, oh, well, then we'll just put a tariff on, you know, and that trade wars are not good. No. Okay. So let me give you three different. You can use any of these three fun things about Donald Trump in terms of his negotiating. One is obviously the art of the deal. Two is take Donald Trump seriously, but not literally. And Donald Trump likes to escalate things, to de-escalate things. Right. And I think any one of those is sort of a good proxy for hopefully what is going on.
Starting point is 01:44:11 But let me add a fourth. Okay. He truly loves tariffs. He loves them. Loves them. He does. He gets stuck on these things. I know.
Starting point is 01:44:22 All right. For us to discuss tariffs, you know, I like to inform the, audience and give a little bit of context. And I don't think we can have the tariff discussion if I don't talk to you about the four horsemen of the financial apocalypse. And this is basically my own little, you know, euristic here about the challenges that the Trump administration faces. Thank you very much, Biden and Yellen and that whole administration. But the fact is that whether it's tariffs or Doge or anything else we're going to talk about, he is constrained on what it is that he's going to want to do, whether tariffs are not made sense before, there are constraints.
Starting point is 01:44:59 The constraints are our debt to GDP, which we know is at 120 percent, are deficits to GDP, which are around 7 percent as of the last quarter, the strength of the U.S. dollar, and the fact that, you know, people all around the world foreigners own a ton of our assets, which include treasuries, which include stocks and real estate. And that, again, with the constraint, as we talked about, of the yields in the bond market are things that are creating constraints for the tariff discussion. We cannot go in like Reagan did because Reagan had a different financial context. His debt to GDP was at 30%.
Starting point is 01:45:35 His deficits were like 2.7% to GDP, which is less than half of what it's now. We were actually a creditor nation instead of a debtor nation. So the things that they could do in 1980 are not the kinds of things we're going to do here. So with tariffs, let's just talk straight up math. 45 seconds. So wrap this one up as much as you can and we'll continue in a minute. Okay. So I just set up the context of the fact that we need to replace $5 trillion in revenue.
Starting point is 01:46:06 If income taxes half of that, $2.5 trillion, we'll do the math when we come back on. Yeah, I've done the math with other people and it doesn't really work out. It doesn't add up. No, it doesn't add up. We'll go to that here in just a second. with Carol Roth. Also, the president is now taking questions at Davos. We're going to kind of try to recap as much of that as we can before the end of the broadcast. Standby. This is Glenn Beck. It's playoff time. It's now or never. Now is the time you can get on
Starting point is 01:46:49 prize picks and win real money, the best place to win cash while watching the playoffs. I mean, you're going to watch the games anyway. Why not walk away with some cash at the end of it? And you can now went up to a thousand times your money on price picks. With over 10 million members and millions of dollars in awarded winnings, PricePix has made daily fantasy sports accessible to all. The app is really easy to use. All you have to do is pick two or more players across any sport. Pick more or less on their stat projection.
Starting point is 01:47:17 And you can win up to 100 times your money, maybe 1,000 times your money. It's a lot of fun. Plus, PricePix invented the flex play. So you have the ability to cash out, even if one of your picks doesn't hit. and they're offering MasterCard for quick and easy deposits into your account right now. So you can download the app today and use the code Stu to get 50 bucks instantly after you play your first $5 lineup. It's $50 instantly when you play only a $5 lineup with prize picks. Big games this weekend.
Starting point is 01:47:44 I'm terrified as an Eagles fan. I'm on the edge of my seats. I'm kind of confidence as a Chiefs fan. Of course you are because you're a Chiefs fan. That's what I would be too, frankly. We just know. All right. prize picks. Check it out. Price picks. Run your game.
Starting point is 01:47:59 All right. More with Carol Roth here in just a second. And if you missed last night show, you've got to see it. BlazTV.com. Uh, go to blazTV.com slash Glenn. Use a promo code Glenn. We're with Carol Roth and the president of the United States, who just is, well, he's continuing taking questions now at Davos and the World Economic Forum. And he is charmingly stern. He has opened up with, you know, there's been a revolution of common sense and the era of craziness is over. And then he said he's confronting the economic chaos left behind by the last administration. Listen to this. Three days ago, I took the oath of office and we began the golden age of America.
Starting point is 01:48:57 The recent presidential election was won by millions of votes and all seven, every one of them, all seven. seven swing states. It was a massive mandate from the American people like hasn't been seen in many years. And some of the political pundits, even some of my so-called enemies said it was the most consequential election victory in 129 years. That's quite nice. What the world has witnessed in the past 72 hours is nothing less than a revolution of common sense. Our country will soon be stronger, wealthier, and more united than ever before, and the entire planet will be more peaceful and prosperous as a result of this incredible momentum and what we're doing and going to do. So here he goes on to say what he's doing now to confront this economic crisis.
Starting point is 01:49:48 My administration is acting with unprecedented speed to fix the disasters we've inherited from a totally inept group of people and to solve every single crisis facing our country. This begins with confronting the economic chaos caused by the failed policies of the last administration. Over the past four years, our government racked up $8 trillion in wasteful deficit spending and inflicted nation wrecking energy restrictions, crippling regulations, and hidden taxes like never before. The result is the worst inflation crisis in modern history and sky high interest rates for our citizens and even throughout the world. Food prices and the price of almost every other thing known to mankind went through the roof.
Starting point is 01:50:38 President Biden totally lost control of what was going on in our country, but in particular with our high inflation economy and at our border. Because of these ruinous policies, total government spending this year is $1.5 trillion higher than was projected to occur when I left office just four years ago. likewise the cost of servicing the debt is more than 230% higher than was projected in 2020. The inflation rate we are inheriting remains 50% higher than the historic target. It was the highest inflation probably in the history of our country. That's why from the moment I took office, I've taken rapid action to reverse each and every one of these radical left policies that created this calamity.
Starting point is 01:51:26 in particular with immigration, crime, and inflation. Okay. So let's stop there. Tomorrow I'm going to continue because he went in on, it's the end of the, using his words, a green new scam. He said there will be no ESG in America. He was very clear on that.
Starting point is 01:51:49 He said, we are going to be in America merit-based. hear that word merit and get used to it. I mean, he's very clear with the World Economic Forum exactly in many ways what I've seen and now heard from my producers exactly what I was hoping that he would do. So you were talking about, Carol, this box that he just really kind of talked about here. We're in a box. We don't have a lot of runway to be able to make huge moves without effective. the debt and the deficit. So what are you expecting to see in what's the best case scenario?
Starting point is 01:52:31 So this has to be very carefully executed. And the biggest concern is that there are people potentially in the organization that want to move quickly. And I understand I want to move quickly too on some of these things. But if we don't sequence them with the right choreography, things could go sideways. And I don't know if it completely takes getting better off the table, or it creates some pain before things get better. And that's really the question is, do you get the Scott Bessett saying, we need to do this in a certain way,
Starting point is 01:53:03 or do you get the, no, we need to slash and burn everything because we do have these constraints that he was talking about. If everyone could have seen my face when he started talking about the interest rates, I physically winced because that is the huge issue here.
Starting point is 01:53:20 The fact of the matter is that if you look at the, I guess you would call it, non-discretionary spending of Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, VA benefits, plus interest, that exceeds by, it's 111% of what it is that we're taking in. And so we have a situation where growth is slowing, our receipts are going down, and we keep having this big interest, you know, not only because of the debt and the deficits that are being run, but because of changes in the fiscal order. We also have Janet Yellen, who decided, instead of financing the debt, we talked about
Starting point is 01:54:02 this before, you know, for the long term, she financed it at what we call the short end of the curve, that for, you know, one month, three month types of terms, which means that now we have almost $7 trillion of debt that needs to be refinanced this year. Most of that in the first half of this year, on top of whatever. kind of a deficit that we run. And that, again, is something that pushes up interest rates. And this is where we get concerned because we are getting to that level. And not that there isn't a hard and fast rule, but, you know, people in economic circles say somewhere between 4.8% and 5% on the 10-year yield, where, again, we trigger a debt spiral. We trigger this, you know, chaos in the market.
Starting point is 01:54:47 And there needs to be some intervention. So my question is, are they going to do the right things first, even something like tariffs. What are the right things that they should be doing first? Well, unfortunately, you're not going to like the answer, but things like weakening the dollar or, you know, on the good side, if I can come up with something positive, making sure that we're cutting regulations and cutting spending that doesn't impact the GDP to increase GDP first before we end up, you're cutting off the spending that is adding to the GDP. So there are things that are going to happen. So there are things that are going to happen. But there's a reason why you keep seeing the Fed and others saying, well, maybe 2% shouldn't be target inflation. Maybe it should be 3% because they know that we are going to have higher sticky inflation for longer because of this box, these four horsemen of the financial apocalypse that the Biden administration, you know, cemented and completely took all of these options off the table that were present, you know, many years ago.
Starting point is 01:55:49 Okay, so I read this morning, I don't remember if it was in a journal where it was, but that Wall Street is actually looking for the economy to kind of spring forward. They seem to have some real optimism on what is being happening, what's happening with regulations. I mean, he is, he's tackling those first. which is a good sign, I assume, for you. He is freeing people up to start businesses and to be able to invest again in businesses. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:56:30 So right now, the challenges that we're still seeing that in a very concentrated manner, there isn't the full breadth. So this sort of, you know, Trump rebound in the stock market, you know, of recent, has been really concentrated in those AI names. You're seeing, you know, all these hopes for investment in AI and all these promises. And so tech is doing very well and we're not seeing it as broad-based. What we want to see going back to the discussion about Main Street and Scott Bessent calling out the fact that Main Street really needs to lead growth recovery here is we want to see that broaden out.
Starting point is 01:57:04 And certainly deregulation is going to help that as well as getting some of this other red tape out of the way. It doesn't mean that their job is any less difficult. But the good news is from our side, the things that, you know, the entrepreneurs, and business owners and workers can do, optimism is very self-fulfilling, Glenn, right? Sentiment is important because if you feel like things are going to be better and you're not going to be penalized, you're going to make the investments, you're going to hire more people, you're going to go out and give it your all. So that is very important.
Starting point is 01:57:37 We shouldn't discount that and hopefully that will rev up the growth engine. The question is, does it rev up the growth engine faster than it revs up the interest rates? because interest rates cannot be higher than our growth rate because otherwise we are financing, you know, something that is on the decline and that, again, will send us into a debt spiral. So we are on this precipice that needs this incredible choreography. How is this, how is the country's economy going to be affected by the fires? You know, I just read a story today that only three houses have been rebuilt in Hawaii from the fire that has. happened what a year and a half ago only three and it's because of the burden of regulation that has not been cut um Gavin Newsom has put so much uh onerous regulation on these on house building now and
Starting point is 01:58:34 with his uh new policies to make sure nobody's gouging people are afraid to rent their house because they don't know exactly what that means how how is this going with so much red tape in California, huge. How is this going to affect our country economically? It's a really good question, because if you think about California on a standalone basis, they're what, like the fifth or fourth largest economy in the world. Just behind Germany, I think. Right. So, you know, we all want to say, oh, California doesn't matter to us, but it does matter to us in sort of this fiscal foundation that we're talking about. And the amount of wealth that has been absolutely evaporated, you know, you know,
Starting point is 01:59:17 that he removed the ability for many of those insurers to insure at the levels that they needed to insure it, given the risk, the fact that they were not doing their jobs in the government and creating the issues that portended the fires. So the fact that you have a new fire that just broke out yesterday that's creating all this destruction, all the destruction that's already happened, and Maui, North Carolina, places in Florida, that certainly weighs on the economy. And there people will say, oh, well, that's good because you get to rebuild, but that is the broken window fallacy from Thomas Sowell, right, is that you're not creating something new. You're replacing wealth that was lost and you're diverting resources that could be built or could be going to build
Starting point is 02:00:04 new things instead of replacing what was already there. So I do think that potentially could create issues in the insurance and banking industry, you know, from all the claims that do exist. And for those that don't exist, I do think that this could be a drag on the economy. Hopefully, again, we'll have the optimism to move forward. But boy, you know, if you're in California and you're impacted by this, you're thinking twice now, do I want to stay in California and be subject to these rules and regulations that I thought would never impact me? And now they have completely destroyed my wealth, my family, my spirits. I would imagine that it's probably better for other states and not as good for California, but I do think it's something that's going to weigh on all of us.
Starting point is 02:00:49 I think to get the permitting for to rebuild your houses like a 400-day wait now. They say that houses won't be rebuilt for probably seven years to rebuild. That's insane. And then think about the number of inspectors that they're going to need, right? Because then you're going to be on a list for somebody to come show up because now, instead of going to a handful of houses, they have, you know, hundreds or thousands of houses that they have to build. So this is going to be, I think, you know, one of those things that we're going to continue to hear about. And hopefully, you know, is sort of a linchpin for change. If there's any
Starting point is 02:01:24 small silver lining in a terrible situation, a litch pin for change in California, but, you know, obviously that remains to be seen. So, last question. You feel optimistic on what you've seen in the last week. You feel like we're moving in the right direction? So I feel like we had to choose your own adventure book, right? Where we're at this path. And we went down one path and it's just extremely dark and, you know, that's the end. And then we have this other path where it is that possibility for us to grow our way out of it. And so we are marching down that path. And so I am optimistic there are smart people. There are resolve. There's a knowledge of the issues. And I think
Starting point is 02:02:03 it's not going to be easy and it's not going to be linear. And you may experience. some pain because it's not going to be a pretty process. But I am optimistic that we do have that opportunity to find a way forward in a way that is going to be good for Americans. But I just, I encourage everyone to have patience because they're going to say me things that you don't understand. And you say, why are they moving faster? They cannot, and they cannot because of the Biden administration and Janet Yellen and all of the insidious things that they did financially on purpose. Carol, thank you so much as always. As he's trying to build the economy and trying to move forward, California still trying to fight fires, is threatening to sue Donald Trump. Listen to this. The president did make a promise on birthright citizenship and revoking it. And I made a promise too.
Starting point is 02:04:53 And I'm keeping it that I will see you in court when you break the law and violate the U.S. That promise applies here, and it applies to any other action that he takes. We're looking closely at his other executive orders, including trying to use the military for civil immigration enforcement activities on American soil. We're looking at some of the other executive orders, how they impact our transgender communities. And so we expect this not to be the first overreach and unlawful and unconstitutional action by the president. and every time and any time he violates the law. It violates the U.S. Constitution. This is Glenn Beck.
