The Glenn Beck Program - Who’s REALLY the Most Extreme Political Group? | 5/5/22

Episode Date: May 5, 2022

Glenn theorizes he's fallen through a wormhole into a parallel universe, as the Democrats keep flip-flopping on their stances and seem confused about who the most radical political group in American h...istory is. Glenn and Stu compare and contrast Glenn's old universe, as Glenn takes calls from listeners. Glenn discusses the oddity that France is more extreme in its abortion restrictions than a lot of America. A listener calls in regarding Dinesh D'Souza's latest film, and Glenn shares his thoughts. Glenn discusses Levi's clothes company paying for its employees' travel to get an abortion. Glenn answered a listener's question and launched into the radicalization of the state of Utah. Starting point is 00:00:00 60% of the vans on Amazon come to vendor independent like Sac Magic. Hello, here Camille of Sac Magic. Our compresses, show of fraud are fabriced in Quebec, and our presence on Amazon enlarge our clientele
Starting point is 00:00:10 to world entire. Trouve of little enterprises like on our own.com.com. Hey, let me tell you about American financing. You may not think it's a good time to buy a house, and maybe it isn't in your situation, but I will tell you,
Starting point is 00:00:24 now is a good time to get out of your high-interest credit cards. the Fed just raised the rates yesterday. Everybody on Wall Street is like, who now it's over. Now they're going to get inflation under control. I will tell you that the rates on your credit card probably about 19% right now are going to go up.
Starting point is 00:00:45 They're going to go through the roof and you don't want them. Please consider a consolidation loan where you take all those credit cards and you apply it to the value of your house while your house. still has this value. You've probably gained 20% equity in your house. American financing can help you understand this and guide you through it and make it really simple. They work for you. American financing 800 906 2440 800 906 2440. Oh my gosh. I what am I going to have we slipped through a wormhole. I mean okay I didn't start I don't know about you but I didn't start in this version of the universe.
Starting point is 00:02:25 In my universe where I was born, things made sense. And then I slipped through a wormhole and I went into a country and a universe where it was like, oh my gosh, everybody is insane. Everything I thought to be true is just like, it's not. And it happened overnight. So that's why I know I slipped through a wormhole. But I think I just did it again. Because in the last version of this country that I was in, it was so.
Starting point is 00:02:50 so weird. Gavin Newsom was like, hey, you know, that's a woman. You've got it. No, it's a dude, I was thinking, but I didn't realize I was in another universe, a parallel universe. This morning I get up, and Gavin Newsom is now saying, could we just play this? It might not be shocking to you, but I slipped through a wormhole and it's weird. Listen to this. Tell, they don't even believe in climate science. Talk to me about being pro-life. Spare me. Your body, your choice. It's a hell of a moment to live in. Right. Like you say, we will not be defeated. We will stand tall, we will stand firm, and we will affirm the constitutional, currently constitutionally protected rights of women and girls, the reproductive rights and freedoms in California. Right. Right.
Starting point is 00:03:50 What, do we not get it? He goes on to say that, quote, if men could get pregnant, this wouldn't even be a conversation. Just yesterday I was in this place where men could be pregnant. I've got to relearn everything again. Relief factor. I used to suffer from horrible pain all the time. That was a different me and a different universe. In that universe, I wasn't using relief.
Starting point is 00:04:23 Factor. Oh, man, I wish I could go back and talk to that guy, right? The three-week quick start developed for you is 1995. It's a dollar a day like a trial pack. Hundreds of thousands of people have ordered Relief Factor. Seventy percent of them go on to order more. That says a lot. Relieffactor.com. Call 800 for relief. 800 for relief. Get the 1995, three-week quick start. Again at Relieffactor.com. Relieffactor.com or 800, the number four relief. Relief Factor, feel the difference. Oh, my goodness. I don't know what to do because yesterday there was another signal that I'm in a place I don't recognize some sort of parallel universe.
Starting point is 00:05:12 I'm listening to the president and he's saying, hey, we've reduced the deficit. And I've reduced to $350 billion in my first year in office. Oh, okay. So is this president reducing the deficit? I mean, is this a good thing? And then I realized, no, that's just a wordplay. I didn't slip through a wormhole. That's just him comparing what he's done to the worst year in American history for deficits.
Starting point is 00:05:41 So it's like I couldn't think of anything else I could do to spend money. It's a pretty fancy trick. You make everybody stay home and not go to work and then say, you've lowered the deficit when they go back. Right. That's, wow, that's what an impressive job you did when you were all arguing for no one to have jobs. And now you can sit back and say, oh, well, now that people are back to work, things are slightly better. Right.
Starting point is 00:06:08 Congratulations. Right. And then, and then yesterday I hear Majorcas say, no, this administration's policies didn't cause border migration. And I'm thinking to myself, what so is it a coincidence? that all of a sudden gets really bad? I mean, how do you explain that? And then I realized, we don't explain anything in this universe. Logic.
Starting point is 00:06:34 What's that? I'm sorry, if I'm using that and you didn't slip through the wormhole with the rest of us, I'll explain logic some other time. And then the head of the Fed, where I come from, the head of the Fed, his main job is to keep inflation under control. You know what I mean? But apparently not in this one. It's crazy.
Starting point is 00:06:56 You really should visit my universe. It's so much easier. It really is. Anyway, so the head of the Fed here in your universe, he came out yesterday and he said, The economy is actually doing quite well. And then I realized, you people believe it. See, where I come from, we wouldn't have believed any of that. But there's a few of us.
Starting point is 00:07:24 I'm sure. I'm sure there's a few of us out there. They're like, no, I'm glad. I was in the same wormhole. I woke up in an America. I didn't even recognize. And I thought it was just America. Then I realized it's the whole freaking world.
Starting point is 00:07:35 And I'm like, yeah, yeah. I understand, brother. I understand. But did we slip in yet a crazier universe when President Biden said this about the G. yesterday. What are the next things that are going to be attacked? Because this megacrowd is really the most extreme political organization that's existed in American history.
Starting point is 00:08:04 In American history, I mean, that would include the Klan. Maybe you guys didn't have that here. Where I come from, the Klan was an organization started by the Democratic Party. I know it's crazy, right? It probably didn't happen here. But we had one and people were like, that didn't start with a Democratic Party. No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:08:27 I have the documents right across the, well, I used to yesterday. I don't know if they're still in that vault. Because I don't know. Did I start that thing? You know, collecting American history here in this universe? I don't know. Gosh, I wonder who I'm married to. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:46 Yeah. I bet it's Blake lively, right? Sure it is. Anyway. So here's the thing. It was started by the Democratic Party. And it was to stop white people and black people from pushing for a vote and a voice for black people. Isn't that weird?
Starting point is 00:09:11 Because that would be a political organization that was extreme. Because, you know, they were hanging people from trees. And I don't mean legally. either. Their only crime was they thought black people should have a vote. So that was pretty extreme, you know. But maybe it's just me. Where I come from, we have this group called
Starting point is 00:09:38 Antifa and the Black Block. Oh, man, you want to talk about extremists. They want to destroy all of society. They don't believe. in freedom really. It's kind of like the Nazi party, you know, where the Nazis were like, we're against the communists because they want slavery. You know, and then the communists were like, we're against the Nazis because they're crazy and will kill people in camps. And they both
Starting point is 00:10:10 did the same thing. It's kind of like that. In fact, it's exactly like that. In fact, Antifa were the people that were saying that about the Nazis and the communists. You know, they were like, we're communists. We don't like these fascists. It was them. That's when they started Antifa, you know, and then you had Black Lives Matter, at least in my universe. That was pretty radical. I mean, in my universe, maybe you don't remember this. It didn't happen. Thank goodness if it didn't happen in your universe. But they burned the country almost to the ground. a summer. No, it wasn't like a week-long thing. It happened the entire summer. And they, in my universe, the Democratic Party, they were so radical. They were actually bailing these people out of jail.
Starting point is 00:11:10 And then there was this guy, George Soros, who was, who was getting people, you know, and putting them into positions of like the district attorney. And those district attorneys would prosecute anybody and they were all Democrats. It was so extreme and so weird. Again, not my original universe because in my original universe, again, the government would have said, I don't care who you are or why you're rioting. You can't burn cities down and they all would have gone to jail. Whether they were white, black, left, right, didn't matter. in my universe. So, you know, who's also kind of extreme?
Starting point is 00:11:58 The black Hebrew Israelites. Yeah? Right? Really extreme. Or the weather underground. Did you guys have that? Or do you only have the weather channel? Because the weather underground was crazy.
Starting point is 00:12:13 Or the May 19th communist organization. Or, or, or. Now, maybe here, Louis Farrakhani. is like, I don't know, a scientist or something. I don't know. I just got here apparently last night. But in my universe, the guy is a crazy terrorist. The guy is nuts.
Starting point is 00:12:37 Big following. Very extreme. Very political. In fact, the last universe I was in, wow, this is weird. The same people that were bailing people out for BLM, you know, know that thing that started all the fires in my universe. They also like lock arms with Lewis Farrakhan. So that's really, do you guys have Twitter here?
Starting point is 00:13:04 That's another story. It's crazy. How about the Black Panthers? They were pretty bad. You know what I'm saying? They were pretty darn bad. Maybe you don't have them. Or elf?
Starting point is 00:13:20 Or elf? animal liberation front we had that the communist party USA that's a pretty bad extremist organization let me tell you something let me tell you something this is so crazy and you may not understand it because you're apparently from this unless we all slipped through a wormhole last night but it's crazy because where I come from when you're standing up for a I don't know if you have it here. It doesn't appear so. We have something called the Constitution. And what that entails is a bill of rights. And so everybody has the same right. You know what I mean? And they don't even come from the government. They come from, do you guys have God here?
Starting point is 00:14:09 Again, it doesn't seem like it. But let me explain God in another time. But we have a God that gives us rights. And the government has nothing to do with it. In fact, the Constitution says the government, cannot do anything to harm these rights. Okay, it's a crazy idea. You should look it up. I don't know. Maybe it'll be in a sci-fi book or something. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:14:33 But we have these rights. And then these people, they're mainly people that don't want anybody to have rights because they think they know best. I know it's crazy. And they're usually, you know, like follow the science. But they don't even do science. You know, they don't even, it's like these people had never even read.
Starting point is 00:14:56 And, uh, and that, you know, and then, and then, and then they're like, we've got to save the earth from people. And they look at people like people are a disease, you know, and they're like, this is the biggest problem. We wouldn't have problems with people if we just didn't have people, you know, and they don't recognize their people too. Oh, crap, are those people here too? Wow. Well, in my universe, the ones who support the Constitution, they're not extremists. Hmm. When you say everybody should have the right to speak out, everybody should have the right to, you know, follow their own internal dictates.
Starting point is 00:15:45 You know, they should be able to go and we call it pursue your own happiness. I know it's complex, but we believe in that, where I come from, and those people weren't ever called extremists. It was the people that wanted to destroy all of that that our president would have said is an extremist, you know, but people standing up for the things that everybody believed, in fact, changed the entire world for the better. you know, those people were just called normal. It was the people who wanted to destroy all of that and the rights and say like, you're ready for this one? Oh crap, I bet you have. Do you have them here because they were in the last universe?
Starting point is 00:16:34 People were like, men can have babies. You don't have that because, no, you don't have that. Because I just heard Gavin Newsom. And he just said, you know, men can't have babies. So it's relax a little bit because at least this universe is not as crazy as the one I was in yesterday. All right. But those were the people that would be called extreme. You know, people are like, there's no difference between a man and a woman.
Starting point is 00:17:00 I can't define what a woman is because I can. You know? And what's crazy is I grew up around like 300 million people. just in my own country that were like, yeah, that's a woman. Yeah. Uh, see her over there? That's a her. See that over there?
Starting point is 00:17:23 That's a dude. Even when the dude was wearing makeup and stuff, you could still go, that's a dude. Or that's a, that's a dude, but she makes a fine looking woman. You know what I mean? We could do that. Well, good news is. even in this universe nobody's spying on you
Starting point is 00:17:57 you know the government's not tracking you every move or you know and you still do have freedom of you know I better check into this universe before I say anymore let me tell you now about the Tuttle Twins what truly motivates our kids
Starting point is 00:18:18 they're growing up in a world we help shape for them no I did not shape this world I don't think so All sorts of different opportunities are opening themselves up to them. Do they have just the tolerance for risk? What is their risk tolerance? That is the biggest thing to being able to live in a free society. Otherwise, I got to have somebody protect me.
Starting point is 00:18:43 I can't do that. It's too risky. It might hurt. I might fall down and get a boo-boo. You need to make sure your kids don't fear risk. You know what? What am I saying? Now, maybe you don't have it here.
Starting point is 00:19:01 But back in the universe, I came from just a little while ago, kids were like, I'm not risk averse. I'll eat. I'll eat tied. Oh, man. So there is something to be said with crazy risks. And then teaching your children, not that kind of risk kids. In fact, the Tuttle twins now have. a magazine out you get access to this magazine at a reduced price.
Starting point is 00:19:29 $49 for the entire year. It'll inspire your kids. Give them examples of other kids doing great things. Like not trying to eat a tide pot. You know what I'm saying? You know, things that are good. Tuttle twinsbeck.com. Get the magazine, 49 bucks.
Starting point is 00:19:47 12 months, tuttle twinsbeck.com. 10 seconds, station ID. Oh. Oh my gosh I Holy Oh this was shocking I just looked over
Starting point is 00:20:05 And I don't know If I need to introduce myself I may be a foreign traveler But you look just like my executive producer In the universe I was in What was his name? Stu Oh I'm Steve
Starting point is 00:20:20 Yeah But it's good to meet you He had a lot of meat No yeah No it's definitely a different universe Yeah, we're in a weird one here. Yeah, it's a weird one. You're a vegetarian?
Starting point is 00:20:31 Yeah, crazy. Oh, I can't wait to tell Stu about that when I get back. If I ever get back. You won't. Just so you're aware, you're stuck in this one forever. Really? Yeah. It is a weird, a weird universe.
Starting point is 00:20:45 Because I really was told over and over again, the thing that Gavin Newsom said, for example, that men can't get pregnant is the thing that gets you kicked off of social media. That's weird. That's what I thought happened. That is weird. That's what I think the Babylon B thought is what happened, right? That's what I think Elon Musk thought
Starting point is 00:21:05 is what happened. That's why he spent $44 billion to stop it from happening partially. You have Elon Musk? Because our Elon Musk is evil. He went dark. Oh, really? Oh, he went really dark.
Starting point is 00:21:17 He started building missiles. Oh, really? Yeah. Okay, this is definitely a different parallel uniforms. He bought Facebook and then bought a cat. And we're always seen with this cat on his lap, petting the cat, and then he built missiles. I don't want to go any further because I, you got a good Elon Musk here, I'm assuming. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:37 Yeah. Well, I think so, you know. Yeah. It's just a bizarre. Like, how do they, the lack of self-awareness is really amazing. Uh-huh. You know, the, you mentioned, I think, this story yesterday where is advice that's saying, hey, look, if this abortion thing goes away, just use horse pills. And it's like, wait, what?
Starting point is 00:21:55 I know. You guys, weren't you guys the people telling us that the horse dewormer was the craziest idea in the world? These people are actually going to vets to get something that is a dewormer for horses. Now, listen, this is very dangerous. We should silence all these people. You can't just take horse medicine. And now it wasn't some guy that said it. It was Vox.
Starting point is 00:22:25 Vox or vice. I thought it was vice, but it was one of the two. It might be vice. They were the ones that were like, here's how you do it. Just go to the vet. And then you're going to have to add a little corn syrup to it and press it into a pill. What are you? No short-term memory, none. By the way, phone calls today.

Starting point is 00:23:19 don't whatever you don't get me anything for mother's day oh my nothing I don't want anything I shouldn't have bought this and don't get me anything. Oh, I love that, though. I wish my wife would say that and then actually mean it. Yeah, they don't mean it. They don't mean it. I told him I stole my son, this is a lesson for you, kid. Hey, listen, it's a day for you to call in. I especially want to talk to fellow travelers. Anybody who feel like they slip through a wormhole, call us now. Your phone calls next. 8-8-7-27-B-E-C-K. Today is your day to tell us what's going on.
Starting point is 00:24:26 I would like to hear these extremist views because hang on I'm just checking with my executive producer in the universe I was in yesterday
Starting point is 00:24:36 this was a conservative talk show still in this one yes okay and the audience is conservative that means all the audience
Starting point is 00:24:46 filled with liberals filled with liberals well I would like to hear if there are any conservatives what those extreme views are that you are pushing for because the president said yesterday that the GOP is so radical, radical. Now, I think radical is, for instance, the people who are now on the left, sending people to the justice's homes, putting out their address and saying, go to their homes for a protest.
Starting point is 00:25:20 I think that's radical, you know, but I want to hear your radical view. views. What is it that the the GOP should be pushing for in your radical view? Don't tell me it's like radical things like shut down the Department of Ed. Right? I mean, that's so crazy. So crazy. Hey, we should we should actually live by the Constitution and not spy on people or have warrantless wire taps or anything like that. you guys aren't for that are you by the way again another sign I'm in a in another universe
Starting point is 00:26:02 Dave Portnoy vows to vote Democrat if Roe versus Wade is overturned where I come from conservatives would go and haven't really been counting on him Dave
Starting point is 00:26:22 he interviewed a interview the interviewed President Trump, seemed to be somewhat of a Trump supporter at times. Seems to be kind of conservative occasionally. You didn't slip through the wormhole with me last night. Was he like Rush Limba? Was he a big conservative thinker? I would not say that.
Starting point is 00:26:40 Okay. It was just somebody that, because where I come from, he was just somebody who was like, because where I come from, conservatives are so desperate for anybody to be on their side. Yes, okay. That if they're like, hey, you know,
Starting point is 00:26:53 I liked family ties. Oh, that had a conservative in it. I love you. I love you. That is definitely in this universe as well. Okay. I think that with Dave, he's like two abortions away from getting a free one. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:08 So I think, I mean, he's basically best known for having sex with 21-year-olds over and over again. So I don't think that Dave is going to be the leader on the pro-life movement. He might be somebody who's like. I just want to keep my options open. Yeah. This might come in handy for me at some point. Again, I like Dave generally, but, you know, I don't think this is going to be his strongest conservative issue. Let's go to Craig in Texas.
Starting point is 00:27:39 Hello, Craig. Hey, good morning, Glenn. Hey. You are still Glenn, right? Yeah, I am. I am. Are you a fellow traveler? Does this world make sense to you?
Starting point is 00:27:49 I am. Yes, yes, I am. I'm not getting right behind you, though. Yeah, yeah, it's weird. Hey, Glenn, you know, in my universe yesterday, I think even Glenn back then might have had a perspective that might not have been fully in line with what's really, really happening. Okay.
Starting point is 00:28:11 What was it? What was it? It had to do with this Middle Eastern or those European War. And the Glenn Beck, I used to know, had these big whiteboards that he put all the corruption up there and everything going on. Yeah, see, I, because I came from the universe where it was a blackboard, so it was a little different. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:31 But go ahead. Everyone's just coming to this universe in different places. But yeah, and then he kind of took the default position kind of a lining with Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats and Soros and stuff like that. And maybe didn't step back and take a bigger perspective on things. And also, here's my crazy conclusion. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. So what was my opinion yesterday that aligned with Nancy Pelosi?
Starting point is 00:28:58 That Ukraine good, Russia, bad. You are hearing what you apparently want to hear. That's not been my position. It is not my position. In fact, I had a whole monologue ready yesterday that if I have time, I'll do it today, where I have, in fact, let me just pull it up here. And I was going to use it yesterday. and didn't get time for it.
Starting point is 00:29:24 It was all of the people, Nancy Pelosi and all of the people over in Ukraine saying crazy things like, we're in it to win it. I think that is wildly irresponsible. Craig, was this a really clever call in your other universe? No.
Starting point is 00:29:43 Oh. What led you to believe like you think it is? Yeah, what led you to believe that I was for, you know, all in? again, there hasn't been any discussion about the bio labs that I've heard at least. You haven't been listening the whole time. Well, I can't listen all the time. No, I know. I know.
Starting point is 00:30:03 So don't assume that we haven't done something because you haven't heard it. I'm just saying that. And I'd say it politely and nicely to you. I don't. I also believe here's my final crazy conspiracy theory is that President Trump did something before he left office called devolution. And I think your research team really needs to take a look at it. We are. We got it.
Starting point is 00:30:25 We're looking into it. I can't wait. Thank you very much. I can't wait to get. Hopefully he can program the show in the next universe we go to. Why are you so hostile? Hostile. I'm not, well, maybe a little bit.
Starting point is 00:30:37 It's exactly what you just pointed out. I don't listen to the show at all, but why are you doing the things on the show that I want? Well, I don't know. Listen. What are we supposed to do? We're supposed to program it for people who don't listen. So it's difficult to do that. How could we possibly understand what you may or may not want when you don't actually pay attention?
Starting point is 00:30:56 I was just in a meeting yesterday and I get a briefing every morning. And what is it? What's in that? About 50 stories would you say, Stu? Yeah, at least. And it's it's all of my producers, all of my contributors, me, Stu, everybody. And we scour the internet. net for 24-hour period, 21 hours, after the show, and we put it together, and I get it about
Starting point is 00:31:25 4.30 in the morning. And that's the first thing I do is read that. And then I select from there a rough, these are the things I want to talk about. These are the things that we need more investigation on, et cetera, et cetera. Then I come in, and I'm usually here by 6 a.m. And I spend at least two hours going over that list again and pairing it down. Today, out of the 50, I probably have 10 stories. And I was just meeting with somebody yesterday and I said, I think we should release this. For people who want to read what I'm reading, but you have to be an adult and know that all of it is, some of it's raw data. Some of it is just, you know, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:32:13 a producer saw this story on devolution and should we look into it. Okay. I don't know if that's right. I don't know. I am in the midst where I found P ads. And I don't understand it, but we're looking into it. I don't know if it's right or not. But we've been talking about can we release that for smart people who,
Starting point is 00:32:43 can actually not just jump off a roof and see what I'm looking at and see where we're headed and possibly add to it in their life or in our work. And I think that's important because there's so much that we don't talk about on this program because I only have three hours. That used to be. Do you remember in the day, Stu, when it was like, do you remember when we were at 8? It was like our first or second show at W.A.B.C. And I had to do four hours and I thought I was only scheduled for three. And I ended up. You remember how the show ended? Like the last four minutes? What did I do?
Starting point is 00:33:28 I believe you read from a book that you had been reading on the train. Right. Like just word for word, just read. And had nothing to do with anything. I was just completely out. Well, and the phones went out too. Yeah. Because you were like, oh, well, let's do some extra phones. And then the phones. went out and we had burned through all of our material. Yeah. And this is just when you had it started. So you were not, I mean, honestly, good enough at that point to be able to fill. Still not.
Starting point is 00:33:52 Yeah. And then you went on the air and just started reading whatever book you were reading on the train. And then at the end, you're just like, and I think you understand what that means. We'll see you next time. And it meant nothing. It meant nothing. Anyway, uh, now I could honestly fill probably. eight hours, nine hours
Starting point is 00:34:15 every day, just going over the news and talking about it. Oh, yeah. So But I mean, look, we had the conservative movement has been working on Roe versus Wade for 50 years and there was a leak this week that
Starting point is 00:34:31 it looks like it may be overturned. I'm sorry we didn't get to your pet story today. No, that's a longer term story. But anyway. Yeah, it might be but like I, again, like we've spent weeks and weeks and weeks talking about Ukraine and Russia. And I will tell you, the main story I sent in today for consideration, and I don't even
Starting point is 00:34:50 know if it made the last 10 lists, go for it, but was a story about how I find it to be incredibly troubling and concerning that we are providing intelligence to... Yes. I didn't know you were the one who sent that in, but I couldn't wait to talk to you about it. We're not going to get to it today, but we are now. but I couldn't wait to show you that article because I was like, Stu, this is exactly what we've been talking about. We are providing intelligence to Ukrainians
Starting point is 00:35:20 to target Russian generals in real time. And we're announcing it. Well, and this one, it's in the newspaper. And obviously it's been confirmed through sources. You know, our official response was, we don't get into that, which is better than their normal response, which is, yes, we did it.
Starting point is 00:35:39 Here's a big press conference to celebrate how we're sending weapons over there. But there is a, like there's a line, right? There is. If you believe, you know, that we're going to send weapons to Ukraine, for them to defend themselves against an invader, that is one line. There is another line when you are providing real-time intelligence to target individual members of the leadership of the Russian military. Hey, they're on Maple and Elm right now.
Starting point is 00:36:06 Fire. What's the difference between this and. and us in a war. It's just us pressing the button. It's the only difference. So that was a big part of what we wanted to talk about today, how that is going down a road that I don't know how it doesn't end in an escalated conflict. And I'm worried about it.
Starting point is 00:36:22 And I, yesterday, remember I had Jack Carr on. And I said, the fiction writer. And I said, this is a real problem, Jack. I don't know. I don't have anything to pin on except a lot of things that lead me to believe. There's something else going on. It's almost as if our administration wants this war. And if you missed yesterday's podcast, go back and listen to the part with Jack Carr.
Starting point is 00:36:49 He was in the third hour. It was incredible. He gave information I've never heard. You know, I've heard that they're having a hard time, you know, replacing the soldiers that have died. They don't have any soldiers. One of the reasons why they went in, and this is well known to our Pentagon, is because they need young people. Everybody's an alcoholic and, you know, over 50.
Starting point is 00:37:14 And the next step for Russia, if this gets worse, is they're going to have to start drafting people up to 50 years old. They don't have an army anymore. And I'm sorry, but I just don't. There's something wrong here. There's something wrong. I pray that I'm wrong. but the worst thing we can do is to get into
Starting point is 00:37:38 why am I saying that? Now I'm saying this just for this one listener who's like, why do you love Putin? You didn't say you weren't making out with him last week. Wait a minute. You didn't. Hey, let me tell you about rough greens. If your dog is a health nut,
Starting point is 00:37:59 get rid of them. Seriously, get rid of that dog. There's no dog that should be. health nut. Anyway, my dog doesn't have any say in it. He doesn't. I give him the food and then he eats it or he doesn't eat it. Now, we've tried a million different dog foods to get him to eat. He just didn't like any of them. So didn't know what to do because he can't talk. Then I'm at a doctor, a vet and he said, is your dog licking your, he licking his paws? And I'm like, yeah, well, he needs this. Is he doing this? Yeah. He needs this. Go look at his
Starting point is 00:38:34 poop in the yard. Okay. I think we've gone too far now. Okay. But I did. Anyway, I started that this is the guy who actually started Rough Greens and he said, give this to your dog. If he'll eat it, you're going to see a huge change in your dog. And I have. And if he'll eat it, he loves it. He snarfs it. Rough Greens. RUFF Greens.com slash Beck. You get a free bag just for your dog to try. By the way, it's not a dog food. It's a supplement. you put on the dog food that makes them like the dog food. It's like dog crack. You can get your first bag free.
Starting point is 00:39:10 Just go to rough greens. RUFF Greens.com slash back or call 833 GLENN-33. Stay informed. Sign up for the free newsletter today at glenbeck.com. Welcome to the Glenn Beck program. We're going to take your phone calls. More of your phone calls coming up in just a minute. 888-7-27-B-E-C-K.
Starting point is 00:39:49 Also, I want to talk to you a little bit about what's happening with diesel fuel. You know, if you've ever been up to New York, you look over to New Jersey and you're like, what a hell hole that is. And one of the reasons is because it's just oil tanks everywhere, you know, those huge tanks. The diesel fuel and jet fuel is almost empty now. Really? empty. We have a severe problem, America, with diesel fuel, and you should probably plan for this. I don't know exactly how to plan for it, but food, energy, it's going to be a problem. Getting things to the shelves, going to be a problem.
Starting point is 00:40:35 Gas or diesel is up again today. What they're saying, too, is what's happening is that India is now buying all of the Russian oil. or a lot of it at steep, steep discounts. Yeah. And then they're refining it into diesel and jet fuel and then selling it to everyone else anyway. So like all the people who are like, oh, we're betting Russian oil are winding up buying it through India
Starting point is 00:40:57 in a refined fashion anyway. I'd rather have India get that, you know, that profit than... Yeah, sure. Yeah. I mean, but it's just amazing how this winds up. It's almost impossible to do this stuff. There's only a few places that have it. Yeah, yeah. You know, the United States has the largest deposit in the world.
Starting point is 00:41:18 But why talk about that? Back in a minute. Was that a guy's real hat? Do we know? Was that a... Yes. Was that the picture he turned in? Like, let me wear this hat and look surprised.
Starting point is 00:41:35 I will say this. You will not find that hat on grip6.com. That is not a hat that they sell. It's not a hat that they will ever sell. Grip6.com slash do is the place to go to get the best. belts, wallets, socks, great products made in America from a small company in Utah
Starting point is 00:41:55 that sells not only all over the United States but all over the world. People want this stuff, but it's all sourced right here in America. A lot of companies tell you that it can't be done. Well, the grip six has figured out a way to do it. They're really cool, stylish belts, really cool wallets as well,
Starting point is 00:42:10 socks that are really warm but not ultra-thick. And even the wool they use is sourced in America, which is really difficult for a lot of companies to pull off. But Grip 6 has done it. They love this country and they make great stuff. You should support them. Grip6.com slash stew. Use the code stew for say 15% off.
Starting point is 00:42:28 It's Grip the number 6.com slash stew. Get 15% off today at Grip6.com slash stew. Oh, you're going to get heavy doses of both today. Welcome to the Glenn Beck program. It's Thursday. Today is a national day of prayer. We have a lot to be grateful for. One of the biggest problems in America is we're not grateful for anything.
Starting point is 00:43:49 Today is a National Day of Prayer, a day that we should reflect on all of the things we've been blessed by. Even the worst of us, the worst of us, the people that are, and I mean that is, the poorest among us here in America. the poorest among us are still living a better life than those in Europe besides, you know, the king and the queen. We have been so greatly blessed to be born at this time with what we're facing and to be equipped with everything that we need because we are. Maybe we should recognize that today in the National Day of Prayer. You're one of the millions of Americans who are living their lives in frequent and also just debilitating pain. Maybe this is an answer to your prayer. Just make it stop.
Starting point is 00:44:46 70% of the people who take relief factor and just try it for three weeks. Go on to order more month after month. Now, this is, and this is why I didn't think it would work. It works on inflammation. Oh, shut up. Ibiprofen 800, that should do the number. That won't do squat for me. But relief factor is different because ibuprofen only goes after your inflation in one way.
Starting point is 00:45:17 Relief factor attacks inflammation four different ways. Instead of just picking one, they said, let's try them all. And that's why I think it works for me. 70% of the people who try it find relief. Please just try it. Might be an answer to your prayers. Relieffactor.com. Relieffactor.com.
Starting point is 00:45:38 Call 800 the number four relief. 800 for relief or relieffactor.com. Feel the difference. So Governor Tate Reeves, he was on the TV show last night with me. He is the governor of Mississippi. That is the state that filed the court case. He was asking this. The state was asking for 15,
Starting point is 00:46:01 weeks. Nothing, no abortion after 15 weeks. The abortion zealots went crazy. That's outrageous. How could you possibly? By the way, so you know, France is at 14 weeks. So Mississippi would be less conservative than France. And most of Europe. Most of Europe is like 14 to 12 weeks. Okay. Yep. And the overwhelming majority of the American people oppose abortion at 15 weeks. Yes. And it's really interesting. You will read things from like the New York Times, and they're not lying. See, there are different kinds of lies. One is just an open, flat out lie. They know they're lying. It's clear they're lying. And what they're saying is not true. And then there's the lies of omission. And so today, in the New York Times, the lie was 65 percent of Americans are, say, a, abortion should be legal. Yeah, they say they don't want Roe versus weight overturned. Correct. They want it to be legal.
Starting point is 00:47:12 Well, yes, but with restrictions. And more restrictions than we have today. That's an important part of this. So where is this debate supposedly living, right? If they want it move toward what you would say is the conservative position. And the conservative position, which is constantly maligned, is much more sane and much more in line with the American people than the correct the liberal and and by the way uh so far the conservative movements from states have been in line in fact more radical than france okay think of that more radical than france okay think
Starting point is 00:47:51 of that more radical than france okay so anyway uh the governor assigned a proclamation on April 25th and he said our nation and our people have been blessed by the Lord with tremendous freedom and prosperity in recognition of this I proclaimed May 5th as a day of prayer I hope you join me in giving thanks to God and praying for peace for our nation our neighbors and our world I can't tell you enough how important fasting humility and prayer is we were losing the Civil War. We were losing to the South. In fact, we were getting creamed by the South.
Starting point is 00:48:36 And it drove Abraham Lincoln to his knees. And he just begged, okay, what do you want? And it came to him the only thing, even if we have to burn the entire country to the ground, the only thing that matters is the end of slavery. He got it. And he put into place the Emancipation Proclamation. He declared that this war was a righteous war because it was about freedom. And then he issued a proclamation of fast prayer and humiliation.
Starting point is 00:49:17 It's a remarkable document. You just look for Abraham Lincoln Civil War Proclamation. It was passed by the Senate and people actually did it. And because we dedicated ourselves to things that are universally true and said, I don't care about winning, even if everything is destroyed, this is an eternal goal. That's what's made the difference in our country's history. And it is time that we humble ourselves. When, you know, I've got a story next hour about Levi's. Levi's is lecturing us about workers' rights.
Starting point is 00:50:01 But I've got the stats on Levi's. How are you making that with all of those employees you have in China? Why is it that all of these people refuse to look at the business they're doing in dictatorial regimes that are enslaving people? they participate gladly and then they lecture us. Now, I'm sorry. I'm one for taking the beam out of your own eye first, but that would be Levi's saying we cannot do business with countries that enslave their workers. What do you say?
Starting point is 00:50:51 Humiliation is what we do when we can reflect, realize that nothing we have done, nothing that we have gained, came from us. My entire first half of my career was built by me, and I know it, because it wasn't very successful. And it wasn't until I completely surrendered and went, geez, I don't know my butt from my elbow. I don't know anything. And I've screwed everything up in my life and I just, I'll do it your way, whatever you want. And I don't care if it means I live under a bridge. I'll do whatever you ask me to do.
Starting point is 00:51:38 That's when my life changed. And not just success, but happiness. We have every earthly reason to be happy in America. We should be the happiest, most non-suicidal. people on the planet. And yet, for some reason, we're not. Perhaps we're worshipping the wrong God. All right.
Starting point is 00:52:04 Let me go to Jay in West Virginia. Today is the day of the week that you can call in and talk about anything. Jay, welcome to the Glenn Beck program. Let me on, Glenn. You bet. So you were talking about parallel universes and time warps, that sort of thing. Yes. I've kind of gone through some of that myself.
Starting point is 00:52:25 if I was living in China for a number of years, and I guess after the lockdowns and everything, we decided it was a good idea to move back to the United States. And I just remember thinking, I can't wait until I can get on the Internet and speak my mind, you know, whatever it is, because I certainly couldn't do that in China. And I come back to the United States, and I can't. How weird is it? When did you leave the United States to go live in China? Oh, gosh, I've been going to China off and on for a long.
Starting point is 00:52:55 time I'd actually gone over there originally in 2007 but it was about 2015 when I went over there permanently and started living over there it's like a completely different world since then I don't know what happened to the United States I left behind but coming back has been wow so tell me about China well China here is the new model so tell me what life is like over in China well at first you know it was it was just fine I mean you kind of know what you're not supposed supposed to say. I'd had a friend that had told me to, you know, start like, oh, you need to help people that are coming over here because he'd been ripped off. So I get on and I start
Starting point is 00:53:34 telling people on the internet, you know, some ideas of how to avoid being ripped off. And we'd started a business. It's actually surprisingly easy to start a business over there, at least it was. Things have kind of been, the government's been tightening things down a bit. Sure. Not quite the same now, but I always thought, you know, going over there, oh, America, you know, this is the best place for business. And I think it probably still is. It just, for whatever reason, was a lot easier for us over there. It's just, you have to be careful.
Starting point is 00:54:02 I remember when the pandemic started is when I really started to notice the big differences, you know. Not only we got locked down, they had these loudspeakers that were blasting out this message about if you spread misinformation, you know. And I remember thinking when I heard that, like, that's crazy. You know, if I spread rumors or misinformation, I'm going to get fined or jailed. And here we are. Come back and yeah, they're saying the exact same things. Yeah. Sorry, Jay.
Starting point is 00:54:30 Maybe you can help bring the spark back to us and remind us. Thank you for your phone call. Right now, yesterday, the president called us extremists. Said the GOP is the most extreme political organization in our history. Well, that's forgetting about the Democrats' little organization called the Klan. And when you talk about the things we've warned about and all been concerned about together over the past few years, that the government would figure out a way to say, well, you know, maybe just basic conservative beliefs are extreme. Yeah. Well, here they are telling you in advance that they consider Republicans to be the most extreme party in the history of our nation.
Starting point is 00:55:19 So when they do put these restrictions in, who are they going to apply them to? So I want to ask you because he describes another group of conservatives that I don't recognize. Because I know my views are can we return to common sense and can we return to the Constitution? That's what I want. Catherine, in New York, you're a radical extremist. Why? Well, hi, Glenn. Hi.
Starting point is 00:55:50 My radical, I am so extreme. I want the government to work the way it's supposed to. I want the Constitution to work the way it is supposed to and the way it was intended. And I am so sick of these leftists. Every day there's something new that they just keep trying to push on us, push on us and push on us. I just want we can't give up. We just cannot give up. We got to be stronger than them because they are not going to stop.
Starting point is 00:56:19 It's going to be something else tomorrow. Mark my word. Yeah. No, I think we all know that now, Catherine. You know, asking for the government to just operate within the limits of our instruction manual. That's what the Constitution is. Our Declaration of Independence is here's what we want to build. The highest ideal.
Starting point is 00:56:46 We want to have this as a society. It's just the second paragraph of the Declaration of Independence. Just read that. That's our mission. Now, how do we accomplish it? Well, this is how this system is going to work. But the people are going to have to stay vigilant because if you want to have that as your goal, then you really have to watch the machine we're building and here's the machine.
Starting point is 00:57:13 We're not even using that owner's manual anymore. We don't even know it. Most people don't even know the Bill of Rights, which is the addendum to the owner's, owner's manual that just said that is the owner's manual for dummies if it were written today because remember the bill of rights came two years later 1789 constitution 1791 is the bill of rights and the bill of rights was the honestly the people in Washington going she's you know there are going to be stupid people who are just not going to get this and I think there's already stupid people growing in this government who don't understand
Starting point is 00:57:54 So the booklet for dummies is the Bill of Rights. Government can never violate these things. All right, Diane, you're on the Glenn Beck program. Hey, Glenn. My radical view is I'd like for elections to be safe and fair again. Yeah. Because they stole our freedoms from us. And it affirmed everything that I thought.
Starting point is 00:58:22 and now I know it to be true. Which? What do you? The cheating. The cheating. It's cheating. Okay. And how do you know it to be true?
Starting point is 00:58:37 Because I went to, well, I've been reading and I went to Tanesh's movie last night, the 2000 mules. Yes, powerful. And it was, oh my gosh. Yeah. No. I had no idea. So let me ask you this, Diane. are you someone are you someone who says uh this was this was uh there was cheating that was going on
Starting point is 00:59:02 and i know it and i you know i want to reverse the election or are you somebody who says this seems to be a very good case and i would just like a group of people and i don't think they exist, but a group of people that all of Americans could trust to then go look at that information in an open forum and have an investigation and a hearing on all of the actual facts. Which one do you want? Wow. Wow. I think reversing the election would be too good to be true.
Starting point is 00:59:43 And it's, that'd be just too much for everybody. I don't. Even though it would be the best thing for America, I suppose, because we wouldn't be in this position that we are in now. Well, I don't think it would be... Like the gas prices and food. I agree with you 110% on those things, but I don't think it would be the best thing for America
Starting point is 01:00:03 because America can only function when we all believe in the system. And the only way we're going to get there is have the evidence presented in a fashion of court and have a real trustworthy investigation of all of these things. You know, we didn't have the information that Dinesh Sousa just put out. But he even says, this isn't proof. This is proof that it should be heard, looked at, and if it is entirely what we believe it to be, then things need to change. we need to repair this together, but I'm not sure how many people there are that actually want to do that.
Starting point is 01:00:55 And mainly in the political class, everybody likes to keep things just a little shady in case it falls their direction. You heard me talk about Mike Lindell and the inventor of my pillow and how his pillow has given me a good night's sleep. I don't wake up with a crick in the neck, which I used to always do. You know, is it extreme to say, you know, there should be limits on abortion and extreme cases we can argue back and forth? And I don't know if we have a lot of discussion to do before we're going to agree on life. But in the meantime, let's, let's make this safe and rare. not something to shout.
Starting point is 01:02:59 Is it so extreme to say the kids get to be, that these kids get to be born, to walk barefoot in the grass, to drink water, maybe even swim in it? To grow up, fall in love, fall out of love, and then back in again.
Starting point is 01:03:17 The luckyest to have babies themselves. There'll be our neighbors, our students, maybe even our president. They may take us to Mars, cure cancer or finally invent the beam from Star Trek. That would be nice. God may talk to them, may even work with them. They may plant trees, come up with new ideas, may comfort us when we're old, maybe even in death. Their mothers will know them, maybe even love them, try to make their fathers
Starting point is 01:03:45 proud, or maybe they won't. Maybe they'll just be average or unloved. They'll be the burdened society has told us they will be. But just maybe they'll cure cancer. And they'll be. And they'll They'll drink water and they will be. Is that an extremist point of view? Left is already stepping to the plate and trying to intimidate businesses that aren't standing up against the potential repealing of Roe versus Wade. I mean, it is crazy. I've got some stories for you next hour on this. It's nuts.
Starting point is 01:04:25 The sort of behavior that has been pretty much par for the course for the left. And there are a few companies that will stand and one, I can guarantee. We'll never do that is Patriot Mobile because I know they stand in favor of life. They spend their own money pushing and helping organizations push for life. And they offer the same nationwide coverage as the major carriers. So you get the same great service with a peace of mind knowing that your money is not supporting, you know, anti-speech, anti-life and anti-liberty organizations. Patriot Mobile has budgets to, or I mean, plans to fit any budget. You're going to save money.

Starting point is 01:05:33 10 bucks. This is the Glenn Beck program. Mark in Georgia. You're on. The Glenn Beck program. Welcome. Hey, Glenn. How are you, sir? Did we lose you? I think we lost him. Mark? All right, let's go to Dick in
Starting point is 01:06:02 Alabama. Hello, Dick. Good morning, Glenn. Real quick, short on time for you. Two things. I want to make one a prediction. About the league. at the Supreme Court, and this is strictly a guess on my part. I believe it was the newly appointed Supreme Court Justice formation. Not sure she would have had access. She might have, I mean, who knows? She might have been also meeting with a biologist. But anyway, go ahead.
Starting point is 01:06:32 But that's just, I'm just saying, but you and I, the public will ever know, if it was, then they'll put it on the back of someone down the line there, you know, a stool pigeon to take the wrap. The other thing I wanted, the real reason I called you is I had dinner with a friend of mine. Now, I'm almost 69 years old. I've got a few years long time ago. He's struggling right now. I'm retired. He can't retire because of economic reasons. But I had dinner with him the other night. He lives in Atlanta. I live here in Mobile Alabama. So liberal. He's always been a liberal person. He's originally from New Jersey. His family still lives in New Jersey, but he and his wife live in Atlanta, in the Russians, that everything that Joe Biden and the Democrats say is true.
Starting point is 01:07:25 And I guess the message I'm trying to give to you is, is he's in a shell and he won't come out of that shell. Right. He said, I guess you listen. I guess you just listen to Fox News. And I said, okay. I said, that's not just who I listen to. But let me ask you, who do you listen to?
Starting point is 01:07:40 And he said, oh, I listen to NPR. I said, there's your problem right there is you need to broaden your sources. You're just living in a shell and you don't want to believe any. thing. You're talking about the election. He said, I guess you believe the election was rigged. And I said, yes. As a matter of fact, I do. And of course, he tried to blow me out of the order on that. And then I said, well, have you, do you know a guy named Dinesh D'Souza? Oh, no, I've never heard of him. And what I'm trying to convey to you in your audience, Glenn, is these people live in a shell, and they don't want to come outside that shell.
Starting point is 01:08:14 So, whoops, do we lose him? Dick, I agree with you entirely. However, I want to give the caveat. just to be fair, a lot of conservatives do too. You know, I read the New York Times every day. I read the Washington Post. I read things that I know I disagree with. And I'm looking not necessarily for things that will open my eyes on, oh my gosh, we've been lied to by, you know, our leaders. I'm open to that, but that's not what I'm reading for. I'm reading for an understanding of how people are viewing things.
Starting point is 01:08:56 If we don't read the other side, then we become ignorant as well. Because we're hearing ours. We believe it. But we can't say, no, wait, hang on just a second. I know because you're reading the New York Times. So you saw this story, this story, and this story. But what these stories left out, but they mentioned in one line, we have the expanded part of that that changes the meaning of this story.
Starting point is 01:09:25 We have to, you know, that's why I said about the election. We cannot watch Dinesh Sousa's movie and then go to our friends and say, see, it was stolen. You say, you believe that 2016 Donald Trump stole the election, right? Okay. I don't. But I believe that Dinesh D'Souza has made a very compelling case that the election was stolen in this particular way. I'm not going to stand here and tell you I'm the authority because that's not our system. Our system is the people standing up.
Starting point is 01:10:10 You have a different reason for it than I do. But you probably also said that, you know, George Bush stole the election. And then it was Donald Trump that stole the election. Anytime a Republican wins, you guys say they stole the election. So why don't we do this? Why don't we, A, investigate what happened? You've already investigated 2020. Now, you may not want to look at it, but all of the facts are there, even the New York Times says.
Starting point is 01:10:40 Okay? So the facts are there. That didn't happen. And they spent four years investigating it. And now we're investigating the investigators because it looks. like they were in cahoots with Hillary Clinton, but let's wait till all the facts are out. Now there are some new facts on the table about this election. I'm not talking about going back.
Starting point is 01:11:02 There's nothing in the Constitution, nothing in the Constitution that will cure this. So we're facing something new, but here's what I promise you, and I think you know this too. If you have your set of facts and I have my set of facts on the election, we're never going to unite. So how can we push our elected leaders on both sides to have an open, open hearing with all of the facts on it? Because I will accept if it is a true, fair, open, no secret meetings, an open expose on all of this. where legitimate people are bringing legitimate evidence up because I want it fixed, because I don't want a Republican president to rig a system,
Starting point is 01:12:03 and I don't want a Democrat to rig the system. I don't want Elon Musk to rig the system. I don't want Google to rig the system. I don't want Russia to rig the system. And we live in a world where technologically, there's no reason for this. this is what we need. And there's a story today that is coming from the Daily Beast. Conspiracy theorists are already freaking out about the next pandemic as part of the so-called Great Reset.
Starting point is 01:12:38 Now, let me just, I'm going to go through this next week, but let me just give you a part of this. In late 2020, conspiracy theorists started telling everyone who'd listen about a sinister plot called the Great Reset, the global elites of the world. Economic Forum had either co-opted or outright concocted the COVID-19 pandemic, they falsely claimed. Then world leaders and technocrats, almost all of whom are supposedly active agents or compromised puppets of the forum, adopted what conspiracy theorists see as a senseless and draconian policy like lockdowns, ostensibly to curb the spread of the virus, but really to destabilize and traumatize the globe. as the pandemic wound on this deluded line of thinking went that the WEF and its acolytes would exploit chaos and fear to lock in and expand the totalitarian powers they gained under the guise of protecting public health. Okay.
Starting point is 01:13:41 I could take this paragraph apart in 700 different ways. But here's the point I want to make on this today. A, that's not what everybody is saying. That's a small group. And you've conflated a whole bunch of different things. I mean, there are conspiracy theorists again who are still pushing that Trump stole the election and colluded with Russia. We now know, for fact, that's not true. There are still people who believe that Bush stole the election.
Starting point is 01:14:18 even the New York Times own investigation proves that's not true. But this article, by taking this snarky tone, only makes conspiracy theories stronger. Because if you really want to debunk something, you need to say, look, we looked at this. Here's what's true. Here's what's not. yes, the W.EF was involved in a pandemic study called Event 201, but that doesn't give you evidence that this was planned. But see, by saying there was no lab link, the science is settled.
Starting point is 01:15:10 When you know the science isn't settled on that, And by mocking anybody and shutting anybody down, that only gives credence in people's mind to, see, they are hiding something. I bet it's because they planned it at event 201. No. No. As the pandemic wound on, this diluted line of thinking went that the WELF and its acolytes would exploit chaos and fear and lock in and expand the totalitarian powers. Well, isn't that never waste an emergency? Isn't that the stated goal of people?
Starting point is 01:15:53 Isn't that exactly what Klaus Schwab said? But by demeaning the W.E.F. And demeaning and saying, there are a bunch of nobodies. Then why does everyone in power? And why does every prime minister and president? Why does the president of China speak at all of their global conferences? If they're nobodies, they're clearly not nobody's. Now, is what they're doing going to actually bring this to pass?
Starting point is 01:16:32 Well, let's look at the evidence. I lay it all out in my book. And I only use them as sources. No conspiracies. And it's left for you to decide because the media is not doing their job. You know why we don't have faith in our institutions? Because we don't have anyone actually standing guard to keep those institutions honest. That's why when you say the biggest culprit in the downfall of America may just well be the media, it's probably true.
Starting point is 01:17:13 we all know people are people. The best people will steal. The best people will steal if they're encouraged to feel injustice. And if no one's watching them. And if somebody gets away with it and then they're actually praised for it, other people will go, well, if he's doing it, why aren't I? I feel stupid. Why am I not doing it?
Starting point is 01:17:47 That should be the job of the media and our churches and our own moral self. But every institution is up for grabs right now. And that's why no solution can come from jamming it down people's throats. We have to have open and honest debate and open and transparent investigations. and let the chips fall where they may. I said yesterday, and I would encourage you to say this out loud right now, if it's found out that it is a conservative that leaked this document from SCOTUS, I am just as pissed and I want the same ramifications, which is disbarment.
Starting point is 01:18:41 If they happen to be an attorney, a clerk, I want disbarment and I want some. sort of internal punishment. It's not against the law. But I want that person. We need shame, at least on that. And I say that if it's a person on the right or a person on the left, it was wrong. Those are the lines we need to start drawing. Because this isn't about left and right.
Starting point is 01:19:08 It's about right and wrong. And there is no right and wrong anymore. At least up at the upper levels. They're still right and wrong in our own families. you know right and wrong. Those are our lines. Back in a minute, American financing, countries facing a severe slowdown. We move closer and closer to recession. Everything costs more lately, and it's not going to get better anytime soon. So you need to make sure that you are healthy in your financial position. Both yourself and your
Starting point is 01:19:41 family, it is so important. Please get a free mortgage review from American financing. Now look, they might be able to help get you a better loan, a better rate, whatever, on your mortgage. But also remember that your home value has increased by 20%. That number is going to come down. But what I'm recommending that you at least consider is if you have a whole bunch of credit cards that you're paying 20% and you're not able to pay those things off right away, that 20% is going to become 25, might even become 30. and you're never going to get out from under the eight ball. Right now, even if the interest rate was 5%, you can take that 20% interest rate,
Starting point is 01:20:27 turn it to 5% and pay those credit cards off. That's a good use of the money that you now have gained just through invisible numbers because your value of your house has gone up. Take advantage of this now. Please, at least consider it. Call American financing. 800906 2440, 800906 2440 or go to Americanfinancing.net. American financing, NMLS-182334, www. nmLS Consumer Access.org.
Starting point is 01:20:59 The Glenn Beck. Welcome to the Glenn Beck program. We have a lot yet to cover. I want to share with you something that is coming from New York Magazine. That is, it will help you understand why I say we have to read the other side because you will understand them. And if you don't understand how they view life, you're not going to be able to even have a conversation with people. And hopefully more and more people on the left are starting to wake up and go,
Starting point is 01:21:50 you know, I can't trust CNN. And we know that's true because nobody's watching CNN. Nobody is watching CNN. So can we make an inroad? Yes, but we have to know who they are. Also, I've got a thing or two to say to Levi's. Are your genes talking to you again? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:17 Oh, yeah. It's in my jeans. And I'm going to let it out. We're going to talk about Levi's and abortion and a little thing that is used to be called hypocrisy. We'll do that coming up in just a second. Hello America. It is Thursday. Today is the day I'm opening up the phones.
Starting point is 01:23:36 I want to hear your voice. We've got a lot of people that have some really great stuff to talk about. We're going to open up the phones next. 8-88-727, B-E-C-K. I'm going to try to get to as many as we possibly can. And I do have a message for Levi's. And I'll do that in 60 seconds. Okay, first thing you need to learn is the Fed is not your friend.
Starting point is 01:23:59 They're not even trying to hide the fact that inflation is here and it's here to stay for a while. Meanwhile, what are they doing to make it better? Oh, we're, you know, selling the U.S. Treasury bonds. Yeah, to whom? Well, we're getting it off our balance sheet. Oh, okay, okay. Good, good for you. And, you know, we printed, you know, like that $7 trillion loan that we gave to Japan without anybody really knowing about it.
Starting point is 01:24:24 Okay, that helped us out a lot. That helped us out a lot. Yeah, but we're going to raise interest rates. Oh, okay. Now they're saying they came out yesterday and said, the economy is actually in really good shape. Is it, look, they've already done the damage. I don't know if they can bring in what's called a soft landing. It's never been done before.
Starting point is 01:24:46 But, you know, hey, men never could have babies before now. Wait a minute. I want you to call Goldline right now because Goldline is having a special on Mint, state 62, $5 gold Indian head coins. Now, I want you to ask them specifically why I buy coins like this, because this is what I invest in. And it's very simple and important. Very important grade. You can also ask how you can get a free half-ounce platinum coin and a free two-ounce silver maple flex bar with the purchase of two boxes of these gold Indians.
Starting point is 01:25:27 Don't wait, call now 866 Goldline, 866 Goldline or Goldline.com. Levi Strauss and company, according to the Blaze, on Wednesday joined the long line of corporations releasing statements affirming abortion rights and pledging to pay the travel expense of employees seeking an abortion. In a statement titled Protecting Reproductive Rights, a business imperative. The apparel company said the business leaders are responsible for protecting the health and well-being of our employees. And that includes protecting reproductive rights and abortion access. Oh. You know, Levi's, most of America was done with you when you came out and said, we want to be the uniform of the revolution.
Starting point is 01:26:24 and you were showing pictures of Antifa. No, no, that was special. That was great. That was very American of you to do. We know this is fraught conversation. It's not something we enter into lightly. You're from San Francisco. You don't have a problem saying this.
Starting point is 01:26:44 But women make up 58% of our global workforce. And in recent years, numerous employees have expressed to leadership. They're growing alarm over the rollback of, all forms of reproductive care. Well, okay. So, wow, 58% of their global workforce. Now, I know because I did everything I could to save a great company called the Cone Mills. They were the ones that made the original 501, the original denim,
Starting point is 01:27:22 that is really, the reason why you put on a pair of jeans now and it doesn't feel the same because they were made by the cone mills, they went out because, uh, yeah, Levi said, let's go to China. Okay. All right. Well, it was the thing back then. Everybody was doing it. And, you know, if everybody's jumping off a bridge and landing in China, well, why don't we do it too? but they're very concerned about reproductive rights and the rights of women in their global
Starting point is 01:27:56 workforce. Okay. All right. So they still do have, you know, employees here in America and they still have some plants here in America, some people that are making stuff for Levi's. They have 12 mills and manufacturing plants here in America. that's 12. There's about a thousand that are employed in these plants.
Starting point is 01:28:21 Now, that's not all Levi stuff, but they're making some of the stuff for Levi's in 12 different places. If you go to Levi-Strauss.com, you'll see that they say, we make our products all over the world. We're a global product. We make them in America, Japan, Italy, China, and other countries. Well, I decided I'm going to dig in a little bit more. Because one of the things I really don't like is hypocrites. Now, conservatives have said a long time, the only ones that really can be hypocrites are those who are trying to do better and they don't always make it. All right.
Starting point is 01:29:03 So let's just say, let's be fair. It's not fair to call them hypocrites because maybe they're trying to be better. and they just haven't, for instance, you know, I don't agree with slavery. So I don't make my products in China. But I do make my products in Bangladesh. And those are kind of slave wages. Yeah, I know, but at least they don't make it in China. Okay, so they care about reproductive rights.
Starting point is 01:29:37 So they have 12 plants here in the United States, seven individuals. seven in Japan, 14 in Italy. Wow, that's not very much. What do they have in China? The last country, they say, before other. Well, they have 150 plants in China.
Starting point is 01:30:00 That employs well over 100,000 people. 100,000 in China, 1,000 here. Now, if you were to make a determination of priorities, based on that information. What would you, how would you, what would you conclude? Well, I would say, maybe it's just a flu.
Starting point is 01:30:19 I mean, where else are they making stuff? And, you know, Pakistan, that's great for women's rights. You know that. I mean, the only place it could be possibly better is the stability now, to quote the Biden administration, the stability of Afghanistan. But they also make it in Bahrain and Bangladesh. They make them all over the world. nothing even like Pakistan they have 19 so they only have 12 here but in Pakistan they have 19
Starting point is 01:30:47 where women are treated so well now if they were doing it in Pakistan but they weren't doing it in China I'd be like okay that's you know people calling you know hypocrite because they're not doing everything you know in totally but they've made progress because they didn't go to China, the worst offender that has forced abortions until recently when they're like, oh, you have to have more children because we're running out of children. You know, that doesn't seem like, you know, I don't want Mao standing in the bedroom with a gun to my head going, you're going to have children, you're going to make love tonight, or, you know, you're not going to make love.
Starting point is 01:31:34 I don't want Mao in my bedroom. Levi's doesn't seem to have a problem with it. Okay. So they'll do business where they had a one-child policy and now a policy that I don't know. You mean maybe you need eight. But the government is definitely, and this is a very carefully chosen word, dictates what your reproductive organs are going to be doing this month. And 58% of their global workforce.
Starting point is 01:32:10 Well, a good portion of that global workforce and seemingly, I mean, it could be as much as half of their entire workforce is in China. Huh. That doesn't make Levi's a hypocrite. That makes Levi's a liar. They're lying to you. you can't do business with China at this scale and say, I care about reproductive rights. This is something we care passionately about. No, no, you're a San Francisco progressive.
Starting point is 01:32:58 You've backed all of the radicals, including Antifa. You have a different understanding of what liberty is. And I have a different understanding of what products are. I like Levi's. I used to because they were good. They had great denim. I don't wear Levi's anymore because you suck. But I really am motivated to tell everybody what liars you are on top of it.
Starting point is 01:33:30 Not only do you suck. Not only have you stood for things that are not American when you were the quintessential American brand. Not only did you stand for things that. weren't American. Now you're lying to us about the importance of women when, yeah, they're dropping babies in the rice patties while they're working. Right, Levi's, I got it.
Starting point is 01:33:53 Okay, let's go to Delwyn in Utah. 888-727 B-E-C-K. Hi, Delwyn. Hello, Glenn. Glad they'd be on. Thank you, sir. I'm just finishing up my milk chores. Hey, the thing I wanted.
Starting point is 01:34:09 I love it. Yes, sir. I'm a radical because I attended our convention. Everybody's asking what's happening into Utah? Well, what's happening to Utah is deceit. And we have two candidates in District 1 that are running against one candidate that is very conservative being supported by Rob Bishop. And one of the candidates, Blake Moore, is being groomed by Romney.
Starting point is 01:34:44 Yeah. Romney is a, Romney's a real problem in Utah. And he has a lot of very influential and very powerful. And people who write big, big checks because, you know, they want to be inclusive with everyone. Where I'm sorry, I don't know when the Constitution of the United States became hate speech. I don't know when it became radical to stand up, especially in Utah. May I remind you a state that was built by people who were chased out of the United States and their first act, the first act, when Brigham Young got there, was to hold a parade where, and I can't remember which was which, but the women carried the Constitution
Starting point is 01:35:33 and the men carried the Declaration of Independence, and the men carried the Declaration of Independence, And the message was, do not blame this on the system. People are people, but we believe in these principles. Hmm. So those people, those people are now, some of them, treating people who believe in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. Those people are radicals, dangerous radicals. I'm sorry, just as I know in my religion, you know, I can't tolerate and stand around when evil.
Starting point is 01:36:16 Is there? It chases away the spirit. Okay? Can't participate in it. Well, I believe the same thing is true with the spirit of destruction of the family, of the Constitution, of the Declaration of Independence. sorry and you know I I just don't know how people could you know cozy up to plan parenthood and abortionists and well that's just my job no I know what my job is I know what my job is and I'm not I'm very careful to make sure that I I limit
Starting point is 01:37:05 the number of people who are actively against the teachings of my faith. Okay. I don't associate with people who are actively trying to pull, you know, the gospel apart. Because in my faith, there's some consequences on that or are there. But anyway, I'm with you, Delwyn. Thank you for milk and the cows. and thank you for doing everything you can to expose who these people are that are around Mitt Romney. Mitt Romney is a danger to our Constitution.
Starting point is 01:37:44 And I say it for this one reason alone. When you have a guy whose grandfather was the president of the church at one point, and he's only saying the things that the president of the church, Church said, and he's actually standing and defending them, Mike Lee, when that guy's called a radical and dangerous, you've got a serious issue. And Mitt Romney is doing everything he can to stop Mike Lee from being elected. Everyone in Utah needs to know it. You make your own decisions.
Starting point is 01:38:33 It's up to you as a state. but I have to tell you, I'm not sure. I'm glad I didn't bet on Utah because I'm not sure Utah is going to stand. Have you looked at your governor? Sorry. Let me go to Carol in just a second. First, 60 seconds to tell you you can put yourself in the best possible position if anything goes wrong with your car.

Starting point is 01:40:14 I was already, you know, it seemed like you put a lot of thought into that one. And for just a random question coming in, it seemed like you had some. Well, I haven't had a lot of, I mean, it's been a lot of thought over a long period of time. He hadn't talked about it that extensively. Yeah. Yeah. And it seemed like almost that there's an explosion. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:40:32 You know, like a damn breaking of something. Yeah. Sometimes I'm the lucky one because I have a place to vent and so many people don't. No, very, very true. Yeah. I don't really feel better. better now that I've vented. You know?
Starting point is 01:40:49 Really? Yeah. Don't know what would make me feel better. I got something for you. Are you ready? We have to for the first time, I believe ever is a new product for you to try. Oh, don't know. This is the day. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:41:06 I've been telling you about this. This is the day. No, not today. No, it's a good, this is going to be fun. No, it's not. It's fake steak. It is, okay, you know what this is? It's baloney, just thicker. That's what it's got to be. I don't know what it is. Fake baloney.
Starting point is 01:41:23 So it is a company. This is my understanding. You know, we've tried impossible burgers on the air. This is a steak. This is a filet. Like, it's supposed to be a filet. Now, I don't know if it actually is going to taste like a filet or if it's... It will to you.
Starting point is 01:41:37 It'd be like fake wine to me. I haven't had wine with alcohol in it forever. But one of the products that they never really... have created is a steak. It's like a knife and fork steak. Sure. That's just not something.
Starting point is 01:41:50 They could do like chicken and cheese steaks and they can do burgers pretty well at this point. I don't know about steak. So there's a company that's trying to do fillets that are plant based. I believe we have one of the first
Starting point is 01:42:03 1,000 orders in the United States for these steaks. And it's being prepared right now. Right now for you to try. Are you excited? No. This will totally change your day from the... So you have to use a knife and a fork?
Starting point is 01:42:20 Well, I don't know. I mean, I've never, you know, but it is, you know, when I think of a... When I think of a steak, you know, like that steak experience that you have when you eat meat, you go to a steak place, you go down, you get the knife and the fork and you go through it. Maybe you have a little, I don't know, what... The Bernays sauce. Sure, sure. You know, like there's a bunch of the sauce. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:42:40 So that's not something that I've ever seen replicated well. Or really even attempted. No, remember, this started with something we all said we would never do. The pink slime. This is how that's, this, this, this, this, the, out of the pink slime came this. What do you mean out of the pink slime? Don't you remember? They were, they were first trying to make, you know, vegetable meat products and it was pink slime.
Starting point is 01:43:06 I thought the, the pink slime thing was a, was a meat offshoot. No. Yeah, the pink slime, the original pink slime. slime story was this like, it was a byproduct of a, no, it wasn't fake meat. It was, it was turning people to start trying fake meat. Oh my gosh. It was real meat off, like off-runnings. No. No. Well, anyway, we're going to try something here in the next break and I have no idea how it's going to go. Could go badly. But I figure, I feel like we'll give it a whirl. Cut with a spoon style forks.
Starting point is 01:43:39 Oh, I remember when you said that. I want to know if it can be cut with a spoon. With a spoon styled fork, which is not a thing. Not a thing. Neither is vegetable meat. That's fair. That's fair. Maybe I'll cut it with a spoon-styled fork. Look, I think these fake steaks might be good. I've seen pictures of them. They look good. By the way, isn't a spoon-styled fork a spork? That's a fork-styled spoon.
Starting point is 01:44:11 You could be a professor in college. Thank you. American financing NMLS 1,8, 2334, www.nmlS consumer access.org. American financing. Inflation is substantially outpacing wage growth. It's like, wow, the sun sure is bright and around today. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:44:32 Yep, inflation is outpacing growth. Mm-hmm. Not a real shocker, but here's what you can do. You need to start saving money wherever you can, and the best place to start saving money is on anything that has high interest. Now, maybe that's your mortgage. They just raised the mortgage, they just raised the mortgage rates again yesterday. This is going to affect your credit cards, and that's where I really want to start,
Starting point is 01:44:58 is what are your credit cards, the interest rate? If you're not paying those off, you need to get them, you need to get out of them because those interest rates are going to go higher and higher. And I think the average is like 19.1 or 19.9 right now. Please call American financing. Ask them, can you help me save money? They can. American financing 800906 2440, Americanfinancing.net.
Starting point is 01:45:23 Americanfinancing.net 800906 2440. BlazTV.com slash Glenn is the place to go to get your subscription to Blaze TV. Use the promo code Glenn to save $10. No. Boy, I've got, yeah. It's got like juices and stuff. We're test testing a new product. It smells like dog food.
Starting point is 01:45:56 This stew just brought in. It doesn't. This is like dog food. You don't know what steak even smells like anymore. But I know it dog food smells like. Not taste like. By the way, I should work out.
Starting point is 01:46:06 Now, these are, these are filet mignon's, supposedly, plant-based filet mignon. The first time I think this has ever been attempted. It's by a company called. Because it's like the first thousand offline. Yeah. It's like a brand new product.
Starting point is 01:46:17 Juicy Marbles. Who's the name of the company? Juicy Marbles. Now, they have been prepared. I mean, They look. Okay, so look at this does have like strange text.
Starting point is 01:46:28 I mean, it looks like filet in its texture. Man, cutting it open sure doesn't smell like filet. I don't think it smells so bad. Should we try it? He's got like juices and stuff too? I don't have to put in the juice in.
Starting point is 01:46:43 I don't know what that juice is. They just prepared the thing. Let's try. Glenn Beck trying a plant-based filet vignon. Here we go. This will be an adventure. Okay. It doesn't taste like steak.
Starting point is 01:47:07 That's not. But it doesn't taste like dog food either. Okay. Okay. All right. So we're in between steak and dog food. But it definitely doesn't taste like a dog steak. But it almost has the texture of steak.
Starting point is 01:47:19 Almost. Robert, come in. Robert's my brother. He was a food and beverage director for a while at some of like really good resorts. I don't think it tastes bad. Try the beef steak tomatoes. They are beef vegetables. So we have plant-based steak and beef-based vegetables?
Starting point is 01:47:43 Yeah, I couldn't eat that. I don't like the after-taste to it. Yeah. I could eat it. Of course, I haven't had steak and... No, it's like me doing a wine tasting. You know, people, people, you know, I'll try this fake wine with zero alcohol in it. I'll keep it.
Starting point is 01:48:01 And I'll be like, this is really good and people will be really the drink it, spit it out. It's horrible. Right. You have no idea at this point. Did you try it, Robert? Yeah. Try it. Try it.
Starting point is 01:48:12 Here, here, try it. Just tell me what you think. It's interesting because as a person who doesn't eat steak anymore, it is, hits some of those notes that I remember, or at least recall from back in the day. Sit here and talking to that microphone. And of course, Robert's also a very good chef. It probably tastes better than most people would have it. but still. I mean,
Starting point is 01:48:34 it is a, it almost has a cons. I actually kind of like it. You like it. Wow. So you would serve that in one of your, like, real nice restaurants if you were doing that.
Starting point is 01:48:45 Without a doubt? No, no, no, no, no, no, okay. No chance in hell. No. Well, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait,
Starting point is 01:48:50 as an option on your, on your, if somebody, this is restaurant quality beef. Can you move your mic over there, Robert? Yeah, sorry. It's restaurant quality non-beef,
Starting point is 01:49:00 which means that, it's passable for a vegetarian who wants to remember eating beef? If I go to a steak place, they never have anything on the menu that I can eat. Yeah, I think that would be good for people who don't have meat. Yeah, I would agree. And seeing that none of us will have meat by 2030, get used to it. I think the texture is actually remarkable. I wouldn't have thought you would have right.
Starting point is 01:49:26 I would have never thought you could get that. I mean, it is like a really good filet. you know when you cut a filet and it has that's like stringy you know what I mean yeah yeah yeah it's you know looks like muscle that really I think that I think the I think the I think the aroma is the only thing that's off pudding yeah right because your aroma just has that something's it smells like bad me hmm that's what I like yeah no I mean it's called dog food yeah it smells like spoiled me really but I don't think it does I don't think it's right I do I mean I I I, well, you do.
Starting point is 01:50:02 It's either that or really, it's baloney. Right? It smells like kind of baloney-ish. You know, it could have been a horse. I would say it kind of crisps up, like on the top and the bottom in a nice way. Yeah, no, I mean, I think if you're a vegetarian, that is a great up. For instance, my son-in-law is a vegetarian, and I'm not sure it's entirely his, you know, a happy wife, happy life. Let's just need a bad.
Starting point is 01:50:29 Okay, sure. this would be a great option for him. Yeah, I got to say it. In the hallway, see it because he's here. Have him try this. I will. Because he, I know he used to like meat. I'm coming here and just leave that.
Starting point is 01:50:42 I got to say, it's a pretty, for me. It is pretty. You know, it's, again, I can understand if you're going to fancy steakhouses all the time, it's going to be different. But it's pretty good effort. No, I don't think fancy. I think any steak. Okay, fine.
Starting point is 01:50:53 I think if the cow has been slaughtered in the same room and they just tore the meat out and put it put it on an open flame it's not fancy to me and I think it's you know you'd notice the difference so it's not a rave review you'd say no but for what it is
Starting point is 01:51:11 it's a rave review for what it is yeah if that's your first attempt yeah they'll get it they'll get it I never thought they'd be able to do the texture I'm looking at it cut open with the texture yeah
Starting point is 01:51:23 and there's no way I would say that's not meat wow yeah I think I would look at that I mean, there's, I mean, you know, it looks kind of, yeah, yeah. It's an impressive, I mean, the future is bright, America. Soon we'll all be having plant-based stakes and steak-based plants. Mmm, get used to it. Have some dog food today.
Starting point is 01:51:50 Let me, let me go to Carol. Hi, Carol. Welcome to the Glenbeck program. Hi, Glenn. It's nice to visit with you. I waited quite a while to get to talk to you. Oh, okay. Well, thank you. So my husband said, if I get to talk to you, the first thing I have to say to you is,
Starting point is 01:52:06 what's up, Cracker? What's up, my Cracker? I know. Oh, yeah, dog. I got it. But the reason I called is because my biggest concern right now is a mother and a person who manages two businesses, veteran-owned here in our town, my son is now homeschooled. My son is homeschooled because of the inconsistencies and the administration here. They can't get their act together. And now that we have the worry of what they're going to be putting in their little minds, it's even scarier for me.
Starting point is 01:52:33 We're not investing in our future, which is our children. The people who are going to wipe our butts when we're old, we're not investing in a country that obviously has the theatrics to have their president on TV every day telling us what's going on. Why are we doing this? Why aren't we investing in our future instead of everybody else's? Okay, so I agree and disagree at the same time. because of the nature of what has just happened in Ukraine, we have, and I'm against this, but we have spent a lot of time and a lot of money, especially during the Biden and Obama years, and with Clinton over in Ukraine.
Starting point is 01:53:15 It's an extraordinarily corrupt country, but it does understand for as much as a country like that can understand freedom. freedom. It's just really corrupt. They are also the gateway to Russia, or if you're on the Russian side, the gateway, them in Poland, Hungary, the gateway to Europe. They're not a NATO country. I don't want to fight in their war. I don't mind, you know, helping them out. I think we're starting to spend crazy amounts of money. You know, Europe should be spending that kind of money and we should be spending the money that they are spending quite honestly. However, I don't mind standing up at this point with somebody who seems to almost repeat the pattern of Germany in the 1930s.
Starting point is 01:54:10 So I don't think we can abandon that because it is in our interest not to lose Europe to Russia, but it is also in our interest not to go to war over this. Enough with the foreign wars. enough with the foreign wars. And I do agree with you that we need to be spending our money here. But I don't think that the government should be spending our money. I think we should abolish the Department of Ed and take all of those taxes that we now send to Washington and keep them in our own local areas and build the schools and do the schools ourselves
Starting point is 01:54:47 and not be beholden to people who have no idea who the people, well, I was going to say, who the people in the middle of the country or the people in San Francisco are. But I can't say that because I think they're all too aware of who the people in San Francisco are and they despise the people in the middle of the country. We need our money back and our control. Thank you so much. Real quick, one more call from Wes. Hi, Wes.
Starting point is 01:55:14 You're on the Glenbeck program. Yeah, Glenn. Appreciate the time here. Two quick things. I had the question during the 2020. election leading up to what we know was stolen. Seems to be the only cognitive test for presidency is whether or not the American people vote for a president. And wanted to ask you the question, you know, we got away from the prerequisite of any kind of military position
Starting point is 01:55:45 for the, quote, commander in chief and to kind of piggyback off of a fixed system comment transparency, shouldn't there be some sort of a cognitive test to prevent the legal footwork? I don't know how you would devise that, and I worry it could be abused. I mean, think about how that would have been abused under Donald Trump. The only thing that we have right now is the 25th Amendment, but that cannot be enacted by anyone other than the president's own cabinet and party. The vice president and the cabinet, they're the only ones that can say that. And if they're all in cahoots and they don't care, then the country is in real trouble.
Starting point is 01:56:37 That's why I think the real solution here is to get away from these parties and stop putting the party ahead of principles. There's no way that Joe Biden, because he tried over and over again, there's no way. Joe Biden would ever win in an election, especially in that condition. We all knew. So did they. But they were so blinded by their hatred for the GOP and Donald Trump that they would have elected a stool. And they did. It's a real problem.
Starting point is 01:57:14 But the problem lies with the American people and the party system, I believe. And I'm not for any new guilds or groups. that are going to tell the American people who's qualified and who's not qualified. I think we just start using common sense. We all knew he was no longer qualified for the presidency of the United States. But maybe that's, you know, maybe that's just me. Back in just a second, internet, wild and woolly place, anything can and does happen all the time. And of course, tons and tons of cybercrime happens all the time.
Starting point is 01:57:50 Do not like the aftertaste of that. It's an easy fact to ignore if you've never been receiving the end of cyber thief's bad intentions. If you are waiting for it to happen or you think it's never going to happen to you, it will. It's coming. It's going to affect all of us. No one can stop all of it. No one can watch everything. So you need the best in the business that does it.
Starting point is 01:58:15 And they also need to have an arm that knows what to do if it happens to you to clean it all up. up because it can really destroy things in your life. Now, that company, I think, is LifeLock by Norton. We know Norton. We know LifeLock was the first on the scene. These are the two best companies and they've joined together. They're the best ones to have you avoid it, to notify you if something is happening, or if they miss something, clean it up.
Starting point is 01:58:46 Join now 25% off your first year with the promo code Beck, 1,800 LifeLock, 1,800 LifeLock, or Lifelock.com, make sure you use the promo code back. Lifelock.com or 1-800 LifeLock promo code back. Glenn Beck. Join the conversation 888-7-27-B-E-C-K. Welcome to the Glenn Beck program. Okay, so here it is on that meat thing. Yeah, I liked it. That was really good. The people in the back room liked it too.
Starting point is 01:59:30 I think it's the smell that bothers me. Because I mean, it smells like dog food. And I know what cooked dog food smells like. Yes, you do. can you tell this story? Is this allowed? Are you allowed? Well, I wasn't sure if you were A, reutilizing it or B, have a pending lawsuit about this particular day, but can you explain this story? I'm probably the story of a good enough time.
Starting point is 01:59:51 My, my family, okay, so the thing you have to understand is my family, we are brutal on each other and brutal to the people we love. Okay. So there's not means, what might appear to be mean spirit to some people, when you're in the family. or, you know, you're part of the family. We love you. And so we beat on you. So in a, like a pranking? In a prank sort of way.
Starting point is 02:00:16 Yeah. So there were these two missionaries that were coming over for dinner. And one was in on it. The other one wasn't. He was just new first day out. And so he was having dinner and having it at our house. And when they asked this other missionary and I, we hatched a plan to break him in. And when they asked, can we have?
Starting point is 02:00:37 have dinner. I said, sure, you know what? My wife will make her special meatloaf. And the one who was in on it, went, oh, good. As soon as I left, he said, oh, my gosh, this is the worst meatloaf ever. But you have to eat it because they think it's really good, so you have to eat it. So we took dog food and we put it in a meatloaf pan. Mixed it with some pickles and, you know, everything you wouldn't want in meatloaf. And then cooked it. The house smelled horrible. So they come in and Tanya says, I made my meat. loaf and she put it out on the table. Tanya was even in on this. Oh yeah. I mean, it was mainly mean, but she was in on it.
Starting point is 02:01:14 So put it on the table and she said, help yourself, boys. Now, we couldn't, we could, we had to watch from the other room because we were, well, I had to hold Tanya back because she was like, they can't actually, I'm going to tell them. And I'm like, no, you. And so we, so we watched from the other room. And she yelled, stop right before they, they ate it. but he was cutting it and putting it on his plate and they were looking at it and and the new guy was like oh my gosh we have to eat this this is this looks so horrible uh and he got it all the way up to his mouth before tanya wrecked the scam so your plan was to let them eat the dog food well at least one bite you know no i don't know you that's why i'm married to
Starting point is 02:02:06 Tanya. She stops me from doing things like this, but she was in on that one. Oh, she was in. That's how you remember it? That's how I remember it. Is this how she would remember it? I don't know. We don't talk about things in the past. We look to the future. We look to the future at our family. Why dwell on the past, Stu? You know, I think that missionary was, he was so. He left the faith. So there wasn't mine. He was so into it. Because he was like when the new. missionary came out with him. He was like, what are we going to do? Will you make that meatloat?
Starting point is 02:02:40 I'm like, you're sick. Okay? You're sick.
