The Glenn Beck Program - Will 2025 Bring DEI to an End? | 12/31/24 | The Glenn Beck Program

Episode Date: December 31, 2024

Garret Lewis fills in for Glenn Beck to break down Costco bucking the trend of other American companies — Walmart, Harley-Davidson, Ford — that have abandoned their DEI policies. Americans will vo...te with their wallets; will Costco suffer the same fate as Bud Light? Also, President Trump shared a video montage of Democrats and their media allies telling Americans that President Biden was mentally strong and his staff couldn't keep up with his work schedule before Pelosi forced him out of the 2024 presidential race, yet now the media thinks that the issue wasn't covered enough. Whose fault is that? President Biden will give a eulogy at former President Jimmy Carter's funeral service, and Garret has a "sneak peek" at what he will say.   Learn more about your ad choices. Starting point is 00:02:56 family's history. Legacybox.com slash records. That's legacybox.com slash records. Garrett Lewis with you in for Glenn Beck. Happy New Year's Eve. I'm in Arizona. It was 72-inch sunny yesterday. You should be jealous. I'm normally on in afternoons on KFY in Phoenix, KNST in Tucson, and I'll be back to work there Thursday afternoon. I'll get one whopping day off tomorrow. So, but of course with two kids and a wife, there's never really a day off, never really a day off. So, uh, 2024 is about to come to a close. Trump wins a big, giant election. America pretty much gives the middle finger to all the leftist policies, including wokeness. President Trump has said in the past, it's a great quote. I played on my show in Arizona all the time.
Starting point is 00:03:56 Uh, everything woke turns to S. We believe out the S. It's one of the best things that President Trump has ever said. And, um, it's, it's just, utterly brilliant and we've seen what's happened right we've seen what's happened so that's why i am i am kind of amazed at costco you shop at Costco i shop at Costco we'll see about that from now on Costco's board of directors is urging shareholders to vote against a proposal that would eliminate DEI.
Starting point is 00:04:38 So Costco's board wants to keep DEI. Two words for you, Costco, Bud Light. Another word, Target. If I recall, actually, Bud Light in some Costco's around America, stopped selling Bud Light because nobody bought it. Did they not see the billion dollar hit to Anheiser Bush? Did they not see Target lose? $9 billion in value with their wokeness and sick stuff of selling all kinds of crazy clothes
Starting point is 00:05:14 promoting the sex trans surgery mutilation stuff to kids. I mean, did you not see that stuff? Everybody seems to be getting away from the woke stuff. And all of a sudden, Costco is like, nope, hold our bud light. We're going in. What are you talking about? What are you doing? It's so stupid.
Starting point is 00:05:34 Look, we belong, my family, we belong to, my family. we belong to Costco and and Sam's Club and Sam's Club of course owned by Walmart and Walmart they they took the heat from Robbie Starbuck who does an excellent job of using all of the leverage he has to pressure all kinds of companies whether it was Nissan Toyota Walmart Harley Davidson he tells them listen this is what you're doing you're promoting all these crazy things, you're paying money to this, you're forcing DEI training. We're going to put it out there. And now these big giant corporations get the phone call from him. And before he even says, I'm Robbie's start. They're like, all, we're done. We're good. We're not going to do that anymore.
Starting point is 00:06:19 And look, maybe, maybe part of it is some of these big shots at these big corporations don't even know what happens, right? They hired somebody and then this somebody is a secret nut job. And they just want to feel good about themselves and powerful. And they're making. a difference in corporate America, blah, blah, who knows? At the same time, I really think it's all about cash, right? I mean, when America is fat and happy, people tend to feel a little bit guilty, and then people tend to reach out, and then others feel guilty sometimes about whatever, their success, their wealth, whatever it is.
Starting point is 00:06:54 And they say, yeah, you know what, I have it too good. Stop thinking that way. You've earned it. Someone's earned it. Someone who's earned it, is given it to you, whatever it is, it's your business. enough with this stuff. Like it's okay to feel good about yourself. It's okay to be happy with success.
Starting point is 00:07:11 You work hard for it. So you have these companies now. And Walmart was one that said, we're going to stop all this crap. And they did it pretty quickly. They did it really quick. And now Costco, I always thought Costco was smart.
Starting point is 00:07:36 I mean, they run a hell of a business. But they want to go with this. The board of directors wrote a message to investors. It said, our success at Costco wholesale has been built on service to our critical stakeholders, employees, members, and suppliers. Our efforts around diversity, equity, and inclusion. Follow our code of ethics. What? For our employees, they wrote, this is from the board of Costco.
Starting point is 00:08:01 These efforts are built around inclusion, having all of our employees feel valued and respected. Wow. Our efforts of diversity, equity, and inclusion remind and reinforce with everyone at our company, the importance of creating opportunities for all. We believe these efforts enhance our capacity to attract and retain employees will help our business succeed. So that was what they wrote to shareholders. And I guess they're going to have their annual meeting coming up January 23rd. and they want to keep this.
Starting point is 00:08:34 This is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. New York Post report, shareholders are going to vote on this. On a proposal brought by the National Center for Public Policy Research that challenges the legality of Costco's DEI program. Supreme Court had ruled that discriminating on the base of race in college admissions violates the equal protection clause of the Forge of the Amendment. So I guess that could work here as well. And again, you think about this.
Starting point is 00:09:04 I mean, they have a lot of employees. And in this story, I mean, Costco, they have a chief diversity officer. So they, Costco apparently picks people for jobs based on their race, based on their sex. Not based on merit, but that's what it is. I think America can send the message to Costco that they either reward this racism and sexism or they don't. And it's very easy, very easy to send that message. It's been sent to, like I said, Anheiser Bush to target to so many others. John Deere, Harley Davidson, you name it.
Starting point is 00:09:48 Like, this has happened. This has happened. And this is at a time where companies, look, the economy's tough. Companies are looking to act some people. And, you know, companies want to keep revenue generators and they want to get rid of, well, people that just cost you money. And DEI people, they don't generate revenue. They just cost you money. It's like a tax.
Starting point is 00:10:11 So a lot of companies have gotten rid of them. Scaled back. Matter of fact, New York Post reports, Alphabet owns Google, right? They've laid off DEI departments. Meta, Microsoft, Zoom, John Deere. Wow. But Costco is keeping it. They want to keep their racist, sex.
Starting point is 00:10:36 discriminatory hiring practices, I guess, and they're going for it. This is the dumbest thing I've ever seen in my life. I don't know what they're thinking, but it's also in this proposal. It says here, and this is a big deal, right? Because the National Center for Public Policy Research wrote in its shareholder proposal that Costco has 310,000 employees. At least 200,000 are likely potential victims of illegal discrimination, because because they're white, Asian male or straight.
Starting point is 00:11:10 Even if just a fraction of these employees, of the 200,000 estimated, were to file a lawsuit. And only some of those proved successful, Costco could be out tens of billions of dollars. So why the hell would shareholders say, you know what? Yeah, let's keep going with this
Starting point is 00:11:26 that can cost us billions of dollars and make our shares worthless. So we'll see. We'll see. But Costco, I just, I, beyond stupid, Beyond dumb, even universities and colleges are doing everything they can to try to get rid of DEI stuff and gender studies and all this woke crap and woke garbage and all this stuff. Some are just trying to rename it to trick people.
Starting point is 00:11:53 So we have that, but this is only part of it. You know, look at the stock market, right? What is going on the stock market? Stocks are up. Why, government spending, right? We're just, they're printing money. They're doing this stuff. but the NASDAQ, the tech heavy NASDAQ, apparently they also have decided to go woke.
Starting point is 00:12:12 Again, we are trying to get rid of this. It's the last year of 2024. It should be the end of wokeness. We elected Trump. We gave a mandate. We have the House. We have the Senate. What is going on here?
Starting point is 00:12:26 But apparently the NASDAQ, as you're getting ready to maybe do some investing, work with your financial advisor. The NASDAQ has diversity rules. Charlie Gasparino wrote about this in the New York Post. Diversity rules from NASDAQ? They're trying to force every company that lists on the NASDAQ to choose a board of directors that stresses intersectionality. Race, yes, sexual and gender diversity. Again, there's no such thing as gender, but whatever.
Starting point is 00:12:56 So instead of companies that have boards, right, that say we need to grow, we're going to have the best people with the best ideas, the best thinkers, and we're going to base everything on merit. Instead of that, what are they doing? NASDAQ is saying we need to go with woke stuff, DEI, diversity. We need as many people of different colors, different sexes, different this, different that, again, instead of actually the smartest. So, sports is always great because sports is the ultimate, right?
Starting point is 00:13:29 I mean, look, sports leagues go woke, they go stupid and stuff like that. But when it comes down to it, when you want to put guys on a basketball court, when you want to put guys on a football field, you want to put guys on the ice, you want to put the best team out there. I mean, coaches get paid to win. If they don't win, they get fired. So they're not going to sit back and say, you know, I think I'll be able to keep my job if I have a gay guy, a bi guy, a black guy, a white guy,
Starting point is 00:13:54 and a guy that identifies as none of the above. We'll put those five out there plus a goal. They will be okay. No, they're putting the best of the best out there because they want to be able to keep their job and make money. That's how it works. That's how it works. And now the NASDAQ is putting through diversity rules, forcing every company that lists on the NASDAQ to choose board of directors that pushes DEI. Holy smokes. This is another stupid move, but what do you expect, right? This is, I mean, they'll face it. I mean, do they not know what just happened in
Starting point is 00:14:31 November? Do they not know that Americans have had enough with this crap? have had enough with kids having sex mutilation surgery. We've had enough of this stuff. We've had enough of this being forced to be taught to kids in school. We're done with this. And yet, what do they do? They go for it. They go for it. Wait, all you hear this stuff that they have being taught in college? We, H-1B visas. People are up in arms. Elon Musk and Vivek Ramoswami and other companies claim they, we don't have enough engineers, which by the way, that's crap. They just hired cheap people from other countries. That's what happens there.
Starting point is 00:15:06 We don't have enough. Do you know what they are teaching? Even in Ivy League schools? Do you know what they are teaching in schools? Wait till you hear it. My name's Garrett Lewis sitting in for Glenn Beck, and I have it for you coming up right here on the Glenn Beck program. The older I get, the more I think about trust.
Starting point is 00:15:27 I think about the people in my life who have my trust and earned my trust. And the trust that I have placed in some people who I later, learned abused that trust. I know we're alike in that way. We don't trust a lot of people anymore. It's like we're all Ronald Reagan trust, but always verify, to make sure we're not making a mistake. I find it a little exhausting, quite honestly, and that's why I started real estate agents, I trust.com. I didn't have good experiences with buying and selling my homes. So we built real estate agents I trust to introduce you to one of the thousands of agents all over the country that we work with, that we have verified that they will help you have the most successful and
Starting point is 00:16:04 good real estate transaction possible. Our network agents share our sensibilities, have great track records, are good and decent people, and I trust them to help you with your real estate needs. So whether you're moving across town or across the country, visit real estate agents, I trust.com. The name says it all, real estate agents, I trust.com. Garrett Lewis in for Glenn Beck on the Glenn Beck program. Thank you for hanging out with me. I am in Arizona. You could follow me on X and Instagram at Garrett Lewis. Facebook, Garrett Lewis, Radio. It's where you find me. Truth Social
Starting point is 00:16:46 at Garrett Lewis is well. I'd love for you to follow me. Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas. Happy New Year, it's all happening. It was night six for Hanukkah in my household last night. And my wife got me a great Hanukkah present, a fake news button that she's not letting me bring into work. So she told me this is a gift for you.
Starting point is 00:17:05 But every time you say something I don't like, she's hitting the button where it's Trump's voice. One of his seven quotes they have in this little machine where you talk about you're fake news you're rude you're just fake news so that's my my wife keeps getting me trump stuff for hanaica it's it's pretty easy you ever try buying things for a woman good luck buying clothes unless it's those kinds of clothes and even then you get the side eye anyway let me get to uh what is being taught at all kinds of different universities this is some of my favorite stuff right here okay uh boston university this is where aOC went
Starting point is 00:17:39 we're told all these colleges and universities are great i what a waste what a What a scam. Campus reform with this story. Boston University to offer graduate level course. Wow, graduate level. Featuring trans saints and gender fluid angels. Trans saints, gender fluid angels. The broad theme for the course is, you ready for it?
Starting point is 00:18:06 Medieval trans studies. So now we are apparently to believe that in the Middle Ages, there were trans people. Now, I like J.K. Rowling. I've never seen Harry Potter, never seen any of that stuff. I actually enjoy women. So, and I have Dungeons and Dragon story, too. I've never played that because once again, I actually enjoy women.
Starting point is 00:18:31 So we're now apparently led to believe Boston University is trying to tell us that transgender, this whole, this whole myth, this whole, is it a sigh-up? Is it the chikoms that are pushing this on us to mess with our society? I don't know. But we're now being told that this goes back to apparently medieval times, the Middle Ages. Wait, what's going on here? The description on Boston University's webpage for spring 2025 course options, medieval trans students, students are going to study the deep histories of transgender embodiment that's found in various texts from the Middle Ages.
Starting point is 00:19:18 the middle age now I'm pretty sure if there was a dude in the middle ages and I'm not wanting this to happen but I mean you can imagine the brutality of the world back then if some guy was like you know what I'm actually a woman I'm going to wear that woman's dress right there
Starting point is 00:19:37 I don't think it's going to go over well with the people that had power in the middle ages do you think that really happened I mean mentally ill people can be around at any time I guess by the way, medieval trans studies can be counted toward a master's or PhD in English. I swear part of this has to be just done on purpose by libs and companies and corporations that donate to universities to not have a plethora of computer programmers and engineers
Starting point is 00:20:12 so they can use H-1B visas to get cheap labor. It just seems that way to me. At the same time again, I think the H-1B visa program is a giant scam, companies, corporations could just hire people on the cheap. I can get into this. There was a story about how, I mean, giant tech companies, Google, Amazon, they, they fired tens of thousands of Americans and rehired foreigners for a lot cheaper. H-1B.
Starting point is 00:20:38 Anyway, back to this, back to this story. Students are going to study all kinds of different sexual and gender identities, even though gender is non-real. from a period of time that has apparently begun in the year 500 AD. Description says expect to read about hermaphrodites, gender fluid angels, Ethiopian eunuchs. I'm not making this up. Trans, saints, sex workers, and gender queer monks.
Starting point is 00:21:13 Gender queer monks. Excuse me. What? I remember when we were looking for a school, a charter school for my two boys. And it's great. I don't want them indoctrinated. I want nothing like that happening. I want them to be taught science and English and history.
Starting point is 00:21:30 And it was great, right? Everything was great. And again, I've talked about this maybe yesterday. The school, the kids are at desks. They have chalkboards. It's traditional. They say the pledge every day. They do a moment of silence.
Starting point is 00:21:42 I mean, it's Veterans Day program, all this stuff, right? I remember I looked at the assistant principal. I said, everything looks good, sounds good. I just want to make sure my kids aren't being influenced by a teacher making up history and she stopped me. She said, we don't do that here. I said, I'm good. But at Boston University, you go into major debt to learn about Ethiopian eunuchs and genderquequeer monks. Oh, I have more of this.

Starting point is 00:23:49 Glenn Beck on the Glenn Beck program. I do afternoons on KFY and Phoenix and KNST and Tucson. So glad to spend the last day of 2024 with you. And as we usher in 2025, we want to usher out insanity, right? Wars and open border, inflation, wokenness, DEI, all of that stuff, all of that stuff. We want to get America back to what it was, not this insane place where it seems like people that dye their hair, these wacky colors, and they think it looks nice. They rule the roost. Like, we've had it with them. You ever see those people, by the way?
Starting point is 00:24:27 They walk around, they have like this blue hair or purple hair or like green hair. You can tell it's like a whole, it's, if they paid for it, they are suckers. It's like a home job. And you're like, I mean, do you look at that? You're like, yeah, this is good. This is, this is really good. Anyway, we also want to get rid of men. in women's sports. Can we finally be done with that? And I mean like every single kind of sport there is.
Starting point is 00:24:52 See, this is a big problem that I have too. This is another wacky thing happening on a college campus. Cornell University. Allegedly smart people go to Cornell University. They have a pole dancing club. Okay. Now, I firmly believe pole dancing is strictly a women's sport. I want to keep all men out of pole dancing. There is not. No reason for men to be on the poll. None at all. If I were to go to Cornell, I probably would volunteer for this club to help with windexing. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:25:28 But you're at poll dancing club. But it's Cornell. Okay. The pole dancing club is paid for with student fees. And apparently the people that run the pole dancing club want to ruin poll dancing. This is what liberals do, right? They ruin women's sports by putting men in there. They want to ruin poll dancing by now hosting trainings for trans, which are men that think
Starting point is 00:25:56 they're women. I mean, pretty sure if they're wearing a short skirt or something and they go upside down on the pole, you clearly tell it's a guy. They want to hold trainings for trans and plus size students, plus size, I mean, fat students. I'm going to just guess that pole dancing is a difficult thing to do. You have to be in pretty good shape. you know, you walk in at 275, you're not going to be able to get up that pole very much. So can we please keep pole dancing the way it's supposed to be?
Starting point is 00:26:29 Not at Cornell. Can we get rid of this as we get to 2025? The poll dancing club at Cornell has a social chair. The group's social chair told the Cornell student newspaper, people think poll is for a very narrow group of people. I agree with that. A lot of people assume that men can't do poll or it's a woman only sport. It's not true.
Starting point is 00:26:56 No, it totally is true. Isn't this crazy? The poll. We do a lot of these different kinds of events in the hope of being able to expand and show people that poll is not just this one thing. Anyone can do poll and anyone can enjoy poll. These are actual quotes. Anyone can do poll. Anyone can enjoy poll.
Starting point is 00:27:20 Oh boy. which is why the Cornell student group called the pole posse hosted workshops for trans, non-binary, and fat dancers. I could call them fat. Why call them plus size? What the hell is the difference? It is what it is. So they want to be diverse.
Starting point is 00:27:42 This is the problem, again, with DEI, all this stuff. No, no, nobody wants this. Through their diversity initiatives, they said, we do not tolerate body shaming, ability shaming. Oh, that's a new ability shaming. Of course, good luck in life. Or gender discrimination. Shaving is also not required.
Starting point is 00:28:05 Body hair is fine. The group states, oh, this is everything about this is wrong. Everything about it is wrong. So once again, wacky liberals have ruined the art and sport of pole dancing by bringing in men and people that just shouldn't do it. It's that simple.
Starting point is 00:28:22 Right? The basketball team, if you're like five foot two, you'd have to be really, really, really good, like Mugsy Boggs good, spud web good. They're not going to be like, you know, we need to make sure that when you play basketball, it's for everybody. Go ahead, try it for the Cornell Ice hockey team. It's for people that can't even skate. No, it doesn't work that way.
Starting point is 00:28:42 So I'm hoping that we can usher this garbage out in 2025. I don't know if it's going to happen, but, I mean, we could always hope. We can always pray that only good-looking hot chicks get a chance to do the pole dancing. And I think we can all agree to that, can we? I'm not going to do it. Not at all. So what's going on to colleges and universities? Are they really getting rid of this stuff?
Starting point is 00:29:10 There was a headline that I saw. University of Iowa to close gender and sexuality studies department. Eliminate social justice major. What? And you're like, okay, this is pretty cool, right? Like this, we could be doing something good here. They're getting rid of this. Fantastic.
Starting point is 00:29:29 But are they? Now, what's funny is that, again, this is complete liberal stuff. It doesn't matter if it makes sense. We'll spend your money. So they're closing the American Studies and Gender Women's and Sexuality Studies Department, eliminating the social justice major combined to have fewer than 60 students. What kind of a job can you get besides being like somebody that runs an HR department or who knows what? What can you possibly do?
Starting point is 00:30:01 Are they really getting rid of these, though, is the question. And even though it said that, it really kind of isn't. University of Iowa, they have a dean named Sarah Sanders. And it says here, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at University of Iowa. Yeah, sure, they'll get rid of this. It's, you know, oh, we're going to get rid of this whole thing. The DE, yeah, we're getting rid of it, the gender and women's studies. we're getting rid of that stuff, but they're replacing it really.
Starting point is 00:30:38 They're replacing it. During a board of regents meeting, they said they're going to get rid of that but also create something new because why not, right? Why not? Quote, we're excited to reposition these programs for the future. What? The creation of a school of social and cultural analysis would allow us to build our considerable legacy in areas that are essential to our mission. while creating more sustainable structures and room for innovative new curricula.
Starting point is 00:31:10 What? What? Yeah. So instead of basically calling it women and gender studies, gender women, whatever the hell is, never have men's studies, by the way. We're very simple creatures. That's why they're simply renaming it at the University of Iowa. Don't fall for this stuff.
Starting point is 00:31:27 The School of Social and Cultural Analysis. Again, how do you get a job with that? When they met back in February, creating this new school is that if created this school would house various fields like gender women's and sexuality studies Latina Latino and Latin X studies so apparently it's not going to be just gone just just just right then and there it's not not not going to be gone so even though we want to get rid of the woke we want to get rid of this stuff the liberals always seem to find a way around it all right we're not
Starting point is 00:32:03 going to do this I guess Iowa has some kind of a law says you can't have these these kinds of of stupid classes or majors anymore. There was changed to DEI-based education. There was a law limiting state universities from funding DEI offices. So they simply changed the damn name. They changed the name. This is what we're dealing with. I mean, speaking of DEI, there's something else that I thought we would completely get,
Starting point is 00:32:34 you know, just get rid of. But apparently this isn't going away either. but this is actually pretty good. It's actually not bad. I think we're all going to be better off because of it. Listen to Kamala Harris, because speaking of DEI, Kamala Harris, advisor, Simone Sanders.
Starting point is 00:33:00 I don't think the world has seen the last of Vice President Kamala Harris. I don't know how she will show up again, but she is a young politician who garnered over 75 million votes in this election, and she will be back. She will be back. You don't know where you're going to see her again? Is she going to finally do the McDonald's drive-through? Is that where we're going to see her? Is she going to actually get a job of McDonald's this time?
Starting point is 00:33:24 Dude, the fact that Camilla, maybe the worst candidate ever to run for president in the history of this country, the fact that Democrats are like, no, no, we want Camela back. It's going to be fantastic. This is great. She has accomplished nothing. America has realized that. Let her do it. You know what?
Starting point is 00:33:43 Go be governor at California. It's going to work out great there. It's going to work out great. You know there were so many jokes you can say to it with this. One more time. I don't think the world has seen the last of Vice President Kamala Harris. I don't know how she will show up. Should we ask Willie Brown?
Starting point is 00:34:00 How will she show up? Is it going to be something in that effect? So, okay, we're trying to get rid of woke stuff, DEI stuff. Some things are going. Others are not talking about Costco and apparently at Boston University. They're going to talk about medieval trans studies. Renaming this stuff at universities. Again, it's going to be a long fight.
Starting point is 00:34:23 We have to get ready for it. And again, the other part of DEI that we're not going to get rid of is Kamala Harris. But I think that's going to really bode well for us because the more Kamala that is out there, the better it is for us. because nobody wants Camilla. Nobody wants Camilla. No flippin way does anybody want Camilla. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:34:43 By the way, it was more than just, more than just the CBS reporter that apparently said the most underreported story of this year, and it really is the past four years, is Joe Biden's declining mental ability. Another network,
Starting point is 00:35:02 and this is another network that probably will go out of business, at some point because they're just that bad. Another network kind of touched on this and it's even worse. What they said is even more crazy about Joe Biden, his
Starting point is 00:35:18 mental acuity, and his accomplishments. And I'm going to have you hear that coming up. Garrett Lewis, in for Glenn Beck on the Glenn Beck program. You're listening to the Glenn Beck program. With New Year's resolutions, many of us will vow to eat healthier and that's a good thing.
Starting point is 00:35:48 But what about your beloved pets and their nutrition. Where's their RFK? Am I right? Well, naturopathic Dr. Dennis Black is actually their RFK. He's on a mission to provide better nutrition for cats and dogs because truthfully, it's what we're feeding our pets, most of it, is not good and we're not feeding them what they need, which is why he created rough greens and meow greens. Bring your pets dead food back to life with live vitamins, minerals, probiotics, enzymes, omega oils, antioxidants, and so much more. It's tasty to the dogs and the cats. So improve your pets coat, digestion, energy, have less vet bills in 2025.

Thank you for hanging out with me.
Starting point is 00:36:58 On the Glenn Beck program, a happy New Year's Eve. It is the last day of 2024. And we want to see some change going into 2025, don't we? Oh, yes, we do. So Jan Crawford, CBS, I played it yesterday. And if you missed it, these people are just beyond repulsive. I mean, they really are. Apparently you had five dopey journalists standing around or sitting
Starting point is 00:37:28 at a table on CBS News, face the nation, trying to figure out what was the most underreported story? What did we talk about things that we refused to report and call it underreported? And if you missed it, she actually said this. That would be to me, Joe Biden's obvious cognitive decline that became undeniable in the televised debate. At the president. There you go. Of course, he had a basement campaign, if you remember.
Starting point is 00:37:53 I mean, they barely said words running for president in 2020. And they're acting like this is something new. Like this is something new. So they weren't the only ones, by the way, to say that CNN. Oh, yes. CNN. I don't know who this lady is at CNN. But again, in the real world, if she had a real job where it actually counted for credibility and merit, she would be fired because she is that stupid.
Starting point is 00:38:18 I don't want you to drive off the road if you're driving. If you're shaving, listening to me, put down the razor, chew and swallow your breakfast or whatever you're eating right now. because this is that crazy on CNN. It was very disturbing to learn late in the year about just how bad, how poor his health has become. His health? Like many, I did not realize that it had gotten to that point. Hang on, hang right. I hadn't realized.
Starting point is 00:38:47 Lady, send me $200, and I'm going to make you the owner of the Brooklyn Bridge. I'll write it out on a piece of paper. You own the Brooklyn Bridge. Signed Garrett. $200. You get it. Not a problem. I had no idea.
Starting point is 00:38:57 Wow, you are such a journalist. You're so observant. You had no idea that going back to the 2020 campaign, Joe Biden wasn't brain dead. And everything else, all the falls, all the gaffes. I have, this is my, we'll get more to her in just a second. But this is my, out of all the things that Joe Biden has tried to say, this might be my favorite. He was standing on the White House lawn in front of a podium with Kamala to his left
Starting point is 00:39:23 and the crazy radical Supreme Court justice that he just nominated, Katanji Brown Jackson to his right, and Joe Biden said this. America is a nation that can be defined in a single word. I was going to foot him. Yeah, that's exactly what I would have described it at as well. So that's my favorite thing that Joe Biden tried to say. And there was a lot of that. There was a lot of that.
Starting point is 00:39:48 But let's go back to this CNN lady who is about to, if you think it, couldn't get any worse. Oh, it does. Hang on. That being said, I think he's still, look, he showed up for the job. He got the work done. I think some of the accomplishments also in the Middle East, uh, informed policy. His accomplishments in the Middle East and Ford policy. She actually said normally in the real world, they'd be like, get her off the air. Like, she's just destroying us. Nobody could take us seriously. But it, but it's CNN. We'll also stand the test of time. You think the Middle East is in better shape today than when Jennings. Well, I think he got her hostages home.
Starting point is 00:40:23 I think it's important. I'm sorry, which hostages? He's gotten a number of people home. There's still 100 people over there. Yeah, including Americans. Including some Americans. That's right. She actually said that. She actually said that. Great, great, the Middle East. A lot of accomplishments. Got the hostages home. Oh, my God. These people are nuts. CNN. Go out of business soon, will you?
Starting point is 00:40:47 Coming up, a Democrat activist finally admits, and he's shocked. how racist he is and the Democrats are and why Kamala lost in Trump once coming up Garrett Lewis in for Glenn Beck on the Glenn Beck program this is the Glenn back program Lewis in for Glenn Beck today happy New Year's Eve as we get ready to send 2024 off and welcome in 2025 people are asking how the heck did the Democrats lose was it all Biden was it Kamala was it the economy? Was it a legal immigration? Oh, I think it was all of the above. And you have to hear how crazy democratic strategists are. It's coming up in 60 seconds. The older I get, the more I think
Starting point is 00:42:46 about trust. I think about the people in my life who have my trust and earned my trust. And the trust that I have placed in some people who I later learned abused that trust. I know we're alike in that way. We don't trust a lot of people anymore. It's like we're all Ronald Reagan trust, but always verify to make sure we're not making a mistake. I find it a little exhausting, quite honestly, and that's why I started real estate agents I trust.com. I didn't have good experiences with buying and selling my homes. So we built real estate agents I trust to introduce you to one of the thousands of agents all over the country that we work with that we have verified that they will help you have the most successful and good real estate transaction possible. Our network
Starting point is 00:43:28 agents share our sensibilities, have great track records, are good and decent. in people, and I trust them to help you with your real estate needs. So whether you're moving across town or across the country, visit real estate agents, I trust.com. The name says it all, real estate agents, I trust.com. Garen Lewis with you sitting in for Glenn Beck on the Glenn Beck program. I do the afternoon show in Arizona. It's on in Phoenix, on KFYI, and on in Tucson on KNSD. So glad that you are here with me. It's been a fun four days. And I think I may be back at certain points in 2025. So that's just great.
Starting point is 00:44:11 What's not going to be back in 2025 are these Democrats. You know, one thing I've learned, and I really focused in just as a person, but definitely the talk shows, but as a person, after the China virus happened and seeing our rights going away and the money involved and people cashing in is, you know, maybe I was late at the game, maybe you know this, but I mean, politics is such a huge business. It is like crazy. The amount of money that is spent, I mean, you saw it.
Starting point is 00:44:39 It happens locally, too, by the way, wherever you are, locally, statewide, nationally. You saw how Camel is people blew through a billion dollars and still ended up in debt. Anyway, you have a lot of people that I'm just sorry. They're just not that smart. They're just not that smart. And these strategists.
Starting point is 00:44:58 Why do politicians have to pay strategists? Can you just be you? Consultants and strategists. and this and that. Well, listen, I grew up on Long Island, and I escape. But growing up on Long Island, I thought everything was great. Like, if you grew up in New York, you think there's no place better and there's no place that you'd want to be.
Starting point is 00:45:19 And as soon as I hit the age of 21, I'm like, I got to get the hell out of here because it's just too hard to make it on Long Island. It's too expensive. It's crazy. The taxes, this, and I got out. I got out. You're in your bubble, right? And a lot of people are in bubbles wherever they may live.
Starting point is 00:45:32 But this New Yorker, he sounds like a New Yorker. Yorker to me a Democratic strategist named Jeffrey Pollock. He was, I guess, sitting and talking about what it was like being a Democratic strategist during this election, trying to figure out a strategy for Democrats to get voters. And here we go. This is where these liberals think they're just nice people and it turns out they're flat out racists. I mean, that's really what they are. He's talking about and I want you to hear this this is incredible stuff and this is why Democrats I don't think have a chance unless they just change on a dime and I just don't see that happening I just don't see them having a chance of course Republicans have to do their part too so here he is talking about
Starting point is 00:46:17 what it was like to have focus groups with Hispanic voters in South Texas so what Hispanic voters did in many ways across this country is vote with their wallets but there's also So it is also clear when you think about what happened in a place like South Texas on the border that sure that the economy is a part of it, but also their clear hostility about immigration, which to many of us in blue states and sitting in a place like New York seems like, well, how can that be possible? Hang on it's a right there. How can Hispanics be against illegal immigration? What a racist statement. I mean, I think you have brown skin. People look like you.
Starting point is 00:47:08 Why would you not want more of them here? Because we don't know who they are. It doesn't matter what color there. I mean, especially now when Biden let people in from like over 180 countries. They're coming from China. They're coming from Russia. They're coming from all kinds of places. Middle East.
Starting point is 00:47:24 But apparently, well, if you look like me, okay, I'm a white guy. I'm a white guy. I'm a white Jewish guy. If all of a sudden white Jewish guys come in from whatever country, they're coming from, I'm like, nah, I don't know who you are. You're going to stop. I don't know anything about you. I don't give them, you know what about that you're white, that you're this, no, you're not here legally. But yet here we go. And listen, here in Arizona, we had to live through John McCain.
Starting point is 00:47:52 Oh, do you want to talk about an overrated flipping guy? She's, man. John McCain tried his very best to convince people in Arizona that the Republicans have to support amnesty if we're going to get Hispanic voters to vote for us in the future. We'll lose the party. And I'm like, I've said it for years. I've been here for a long time that John McCain saying that was just a flat out racist, just like liberals that say the same thing, flat out racist. John McCain was absolutely awful, but that's what he said. And then, of course, that's why I love it.
Starting point is 00:48:34 And the whole McCain clan, the whole McCain family, they're just problems. The McCainites that are still in Arizona, they're problems. They act like they care. All they want is cheap labor. So let's get back to this guy who, they go back a little bit where he's like, man, this is just crazy. And Hispanics in South Texas want to stop illegals. It's and sitting in a place like New York seems like, well, how can that be possible?
Starting point is 00:48:57 But the I would sit, and I said this to Vasil before, I would sit in folks group with with Hispanic voters. They would talk about immigration and you would swear to God you were sitting in a room with a bunch of cranky white guys from Missouri. With a bunch of cranky white guys from Missouri. This is a white guy too, by the way. So this guy's amazed. He's like, man, I'm Jeffrey Pollock out of New York, a white guy. And I think the border should be wide open. And I'm talking to Hispanic guys in South Texas.
Starting point is 00:49:29 they're telling me they should shut the border. How is this even possible? And this is how you know, Democrats have no clue. This guy, by the way, just like the people in the last hour I played from CNN and CBS, reporters, journalists that apparently could not even observe or figure out that Joe Biden is mostly brain dead. They're like, we had no idea that his mental sharpness was taking a hit. no idea we couldn't ask him any questions of the 2020 campaign we're not going to say anything we
Starting point is 00:50:02 just don't want trump so they are clueless and they should be fired if you're a democrat strategist and you don't realize that people that live on the border Hispanics don't want people crossing over their land they don't want to deal with this mess they don't feel safe you shouldn't be a democratic strategist like to me this guy talking is is like a blinking red light to others that are running for office of don't hire me whatever i tell you will be wrong and what a racist thing to say so cranky old white guys are against illegals there are black people in chicago that are against illegals Hispanics in south texas against illegals this is what we have but wait there's more not Hispanic voters when you were talking about immigration um and so the flaw there is that the
Starting point is 00:50:57 immigration that the sort of mass increase in immigration which happened in the first couple of years of the Biden administration that will have been one of the great reasons potentially that that we lost potentially so this democratic strategist just like the journalists in the left media they couldn't figure out that a giant open border that led in 10 15 20 million people we don't know, gang members out the wazoo, you couldn't figure out that Americans of all different ethnicities were against this. You couldn't figure that one out. And you're a strategist. Yeah, I know it's shocking, right? Oh, how we're supposed to figure that out? That's crazy. That's insane. This is why they have no chance. As long as we do what we're supposed to do, it should be okay.
Starting point is 00:51:51 It should be great in 2025. It should be awesome in 2025. It should be awesome in 20. 25 for the country. We have worked to do in Arizona where I am, but it should be awesome. It should be awesome. Yeah, Americans are against this. Story in the New York Post and exclusive today. Knife-wielding Trende Aragua, gangbangers. You know the Venezuelan gang? They're repeatedly attacking border crossings in a desperate move to force their way into America before Trump takes office. Wait a second. Hispanics are against this too? You don't say. So you have Venezuelan gang guys having knives in their hand, and they are mobbing border crossings in El Paso, Texas, trying to break into America.
Starting point is 00:52:38 And they've come out and said this violent Venezuelan gang that the media tried to tell us didn't really exist. They said they're going to attack border guards that try to stop them. This is all according to a Texas law enforcement memo that was leaked to the New York post. Last week, 20 of these Venezuelan gang members, they were armed with blades, knives, tire irons, broken liquor bottles. They tried to force their way into America at a border gate.
Starting point is 00:53:09 This is all from the Texas Department of Public Safety. They're now warning of another attempt on New Year's Day. Another attempt on New Year's Day. and apparently they want to get here before Trump gets in, so they have a chance to just disappear into America. Yep. Retired agent for Homeland Security investigations. Victor Avia said,
Starting point is 00:53:35 you're seeing that violence at the border because they know it's going to change in 27 days. That's what he said. Wow, it's going to be less than that. It's right now, what do we, would it be night? 20 days? 20 days? Yeah, 20 days. You're going to wake up in three weeks on a Tuesday,
Starting point is 00:53:49 and Trump's going to be president. Yeah. The Texas authorities were told that these Venezuelan gangbangers were going to try to force their way to America by an anonymous enforcement, uh, informant, excuse me. And they said the violent border break-ins by this gang would continue every night at around three in the morning. And the gang intends to cause harm to the Texas National Guard soldiers who are stationed there, especially when they're left alone with no agents to help them.
Starting point is 00:54:18 Wow. Texas law enforcement source till New York Post gunfire has picked up big time along the El Paso in recent days adding authorities have had to fire more pepper balls at groups trying to breach the border so this is what's happening and yet you heard this this guy Jeffrey Pollock of New York say man it's just crazy I there these uh these Hispanic guys from south Texas they just sound I mean for God's sakes they just sound like cranky old white guys from Missouri what a racist and don't thing to say, isn't it? Jeez.
Starting point is 00:55:03 So you have to treat these gangbangers. And what is Joe Biden doing, by the way? Nothing. Nothing. He's going to let them in. This retired agent said, you have to treat them like terrorists because they're like terrorists. They'll kill, destroy, take over businesses, take over stores, take over
Starting point is 00:55:23 apartment complex, do whatever it takes to destroy our way of life in America. And at least he had the governor of Texas. He declared this gang a foreign terrorist organization. So this is what we're dealing with. They're trying to get in at the last possible second. And you want to know a big reason why the Democrats lost, and I consider it a big loss for Joe Biden.
Starting point is 00:55:48 Joe Biden still would have lost just like Camilla did. It's because people had enough with this. They had enough of it. And there's more too, by the way. Politico had a story. about Joe Biden what he was supposed to do and he failed to do it. He was supposed to transform our country into a green country, climate change jobs, technology jobs, all this stuff. And they're like, this week we think this is why Joe Biden also is leaving as a giant failure, right?
Starting point is 00:56:24 Giant failure. Look at this. We're saying about Jimmy Carter and Joe Biden at the same time. Two worst presidents of the history of the country. Some of the, and even the Democrats, even Democrats are admitting Joe Biden failed big time. And you have to hear it. I have it for you coming up. Garrett Lewis, in for Glenn Beck on the Glenn Beck program.
Starting point is 00:56:45 The new year is a time of reflection on the past year and hope for the year to come. Last year was a turbulent time for Israel and the Jewish people. The devastating and ongoing multi-front war, an unprecedented rise in global anti-Semitism, and the loss of many Jewish lives. But there has also been an uprising of love and support from you, the listeners, and by the organization, the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. Your support of IFCJ has saved lives and answered prayers. Thanks to the generosity of people in the United States, bomb shelters have been built and placed. Life-saving food and emergency supplies have been provided to evacuees and those in critical need. And protective gear and medical equipment has been
Starting point is 00:57:25 distributed to first responders on the front lines. There is still more work to do. Join the movement of those who have raised their voices to support Israel and the Jewish people. We ask you to continue your prayers and ongoing support today by visiting supportifcj.org. That's one word, supportifcj.org. Garrett Lewis, with you in for Glen Beck on the Glenbeck program. You can follow me on social media at Garrett Lewis, 2R's 1T. If you do 2Rs 2 Ts, you'll get a weatherman out of northwest Arkansas. I'm not making that up.
Starting point is 00:58:09 Again, that guy has received a lot of backlash from people that don't like me over the years. So 2Rs 1T, blame my parents. Garrett Lewis, you find me there on Instagram and X, Garrett Lewis Radio on Facebook, Garrett Lewis, Ed Garrett Lewis on Truth Social. So we have, there's a lot of options for you. It's just pretty much Garrett Lewis. So Joe Biden, and this is just awesome. This is the theme, right?
Starting point is 00:58:36 Democrats are trying to figure out why they lost. How did they lose? What is going on? And it was the open border, even though Democrats still don't get it, right? They still don't get it. And of course, we have the great news that Camilla is not going away. Camilla is coming back. Simone Sanders, if you miss this, Simone Sanders, a top advisor to Camela. Went on MSNBC. Nobody watched it. I get it. And she said this. I don't think the world has seen the last of Vice President Kamala Harris.
Starting point is 00:59:01 I don't know how she will show up again. But she is a young politician who garnered over 75 million votes in this election and she will be back. She's 60. She's young. She's young. Nancy Pelosi's 84. Joe Biden is mostly dead. She's young.
Starting point is 00:59:22 Bernie Sanders is, what is pretty 85? 80 something. Right? Democrats, they are. A lot of these politicians, they just want to die in office. Diane Feinstein? Oh my God. Remember, look, you just had a Republican congresswoman in Texas.
Starting point is 00:59:36 She has been missing. missing for months. Nobody could find out where she was. And a local reporter down in the Dallas area did a little searching and found her living. Kay Granger, I believe her name is, they found her living in a, in an all, in a nursing home for Alzheimer's patients. And nobody told any of the constituents that she is there and she was still a Congresswoman. She's been there for months. anyway why did and we need more camela
Starting point is 01:00:09 because if the best they have is camilla we are good this is so awesome I mean look we got rid of the the rhinos we're trying to get rid of the rhinos what are the Democrats do they're not getting rid of anybody
Starting point is 01:00:21 because they can't they are controlled so why did Joe Biden lose how did he lose how did Camela lose how did the Democrats lose border the economy, everything that they pretty much did, okay?
Starting point is 01:00:37 Pretty much everything. And I guess the left of the media, they're finally admitting Joe Biden was a failure. Now, they didn't notice Politico had a story about this. And Politico, they did not, Politico.com, they didn't report that Joe Biden has failed and Kavla has failed with all of their policies and initiatives before the election. But now that they're going away, now they're writing. They're reporting, man, I guess it just didn't really go as well as we needed. So the political story says Biden spent the first half of his presidency enacting plans to put at least $1.6 trillion to transform our economy into a clean energy revolution.
Starting point is 01:01:21 All that did, of course, was added the debt and cause inflation. Yep. And there are apparently hundreds of billion dollars, billions of dollars left. So we should take those and pay off debt and just enough is enough, right? Give me my money back. So, again, this is hilarious that the Lefty Politico website, now after the election reports a wide-ranging examination of Biden's spending and tax policies, it shows signs that his efforts could leave a lasting mark, but his agenda has yet to take hold. He put money for everything, right? battery, solar cells, computer chips, clean water supposedly.
Starting point is 01:02:03 And what did he get? A failure. Do you remember? He put 40, he put camel in charge. $42 billion to expand broadband internet service. And not one household has ever been connected to it. $42 billion? $42 billion? $7.5 billion for those electric car chargers? Do you know how many he has? $47.7.5 billion.
Starting point is 01:02:29 It was 8.47 stations in only 15 states. But do you know why they didn't build that many electric car charging stations? Oh, it is so good. It is so good. And I'm going to tell you why. It's like they're eating their own. They couldn't do it because of their lefties. I have it for you coming up.

Starting point is 01:04:04 Avoiding the woke mainstream messaging in favor of truth. more Glenbeck in a moment. Garrett Lewis is with you on the Glenn Beck program. Thank you for hanging out with me. Happy New Year. It's going to be a good one. It better be a good one. We work too damn hard and not have it be a good one, right?
Starting point is 01:04:44 I do the afternoon show in Arizona on KFYI and Phoenix, KNST and Tucson. You could follow me at Garrett Lewis on Instagram and X and at Garrett Lewis at Truth Social and Garrett Lewis Radio on Facebook. on Facebook. So I was just telling you the failures, right? Joe Biden, the Democrats, their giant failures. Why would the media ever, ever, ever report the failures before the election? Now that the Democrats have lost, now the media is admitting, man, we didn't really ask
Starting point is 01:05:19 enough questions about Joe Biden's mental state. And, oh, oh, some of these giant trillion-plus dollar spending programs to Green America supposedly green America. I don't even say it greens America. It's just a scam. Those haven't worked either. Oh, again, where was your reporting before the election? You can't hate the media enough.
Starting point is 01:05:41 You just, you simply can't, okay? It's impossible. It's impossible. So remember, $42 billion to expand broadband and not one household was ever connected. Good job, Kamala. And they're bringing. We're going to bring Kamala.
Starting point is 01:05:57 back. She's young for us. She's only 60. 7.5 billion to get electric vehicle chargers installed. 47 stations have been installed in 15 states. That's it. By the way, they break easily. I know people electric cars and they're awful. So why is this happening? Why is this happening? When it comes to electric vehicle charges, why are they failing so much?
Starting point is 01:06:22 This is the best right here. This is the best. From the transportation website, from the transportation.gov. If you want to put in, like if your company, because they don't just, the government's not going to just put them in, they're going to give companies money to install the electric chargers. That's what the $7.5 billion is for, right? So you have to qualify for a grant to get paid by the federal government to then install
Starting point is 01:06:45 the electric charger. And like any other contractor, right? I mean, you want to make a profit on that. So to qualify, this is from the transportation. Dotgov website. in order to qualify for a grant to install the EV Chargers, you have to be full DEI. Applicants must demonstrate how meaningful public involvement,
Starting point is 01:07:12 inclusive of disadvantaged communities, will occur throughout a project's life cycle. What? Yeah. You can't be like, listen, we can install X amount of chargers for this price. We're good. That's how it's supposed to work. But I guess the real reason is not just that a lot.
Starting point is 01:07:33 electric cars are stupid. In my estimation, I just, it's just not necessary. But you do what you do you. The Biden regime said if you want to qualify for the money to install this, to make money, you have to demonstrate how meaningful public involvement inclusive of disadvantaged communities will occur throughout a project's life. What? What in the Sam? You know what is, what is going on?
Starting point is 01:08:03 That's crazy. Nobody even knows what that means. What is public involvement? So they basically want you to put in a disadvantaged community. So they want you to put in a socioeconomic. They want you put in a poor community. Do a lot of poor communities have extremely expensive cars? Good luck finding a cheap car to begin with, then a cheap electric vehicle.
Starting point is 01:08:31 And you're going to have to put charging stations there and you'll install it. They'll pay for it. And then you have to make money by people using. it. Nobody's going to use it. So the Department of Transportation was going full DEI, which is why they could only install
Starting point is 01:08:50 47 charging stations in 15 states. I mean, I, look, I do research my talk shows is what I do. I'm lucky enough to do it. And I'm sure a lot of talk show hosts, and you may have heard them, and I'm sure Glenn talked about it too. We sat back and at the time, I think it was like eight charging
Starting point is 01:09:08 stations were installed. Now it's up to 47. And we're like, God, the government is just so stupid. It's not just because the government is just so inept and slow and bureaucratic. I mean, it is. It's like times a million now. How do you answer that? The Department of Transportation notes it should involve, quote, intentional outreach to underserved communities. So there you have it.
Starting point is 01:09:37 And now this is why Joe Biden and the Dems. This is exactly why they lost. good luck with that again none of this was ever reported beforehand okay none of it was ever reported before
Starting point is 01:10:02 but now that they lost now we'll talk about the failures now we'll talk about how inept and stupid and everything all these stupid you know what they called it the inflation reduction act it was the Green New Deal
Starting point is 01:10:13 that's what it was that's what it was and they point out how Biden has failed Joe Biden was supposed to have a 50% cut in in climate emissions wasn't even close all they're just literally talking about his failures why wouldn't they talk about the failures in the of the first four years when he was running wouldn't that be nice bunch of liars again can't hate the media enough you know something else that happened to where i am in arizona um in anthem which is
Starting point is 01:10:46 uh in the west valley of phoenix northwest valley of phoenix uh you want to talk about dei going uh full crazy just in case you didn't know. The chip, you ever hear of the Chips Project? That's where Joe Biden said, I'm going to take, what about $8 billion of your money and give it out to like Intel and others and whatever else to build a giant chips facility, to make our own processing chips, right? Microchips, things like that. Well, it's taken a very long time to get this going.
Starting point is 01:11:22 and apparently the reason why it's taken this long as well is, I mean, after, I hope you can guess it after I just told you. Yeah, it's DEI. It's the, this is what,
Starting point is 01:11:32 this is the Democrats. They, they want to accomplish these things, but they are such losers. And they're all into feelings and emotion and so-called fairness, but they're not fair, that they kill their own ideas. They,
Starting point is 01:11:47 they can't actually establish goals. They don't know how business works. I think Biden gave $8 billion to Intel. By the way, Intel recently laid off how many Americans? There's $39 billion in the Chips Act. It's for grants, right? We need semiconductors. We need the factories.
Starting point is 01:12:07 We need to be able to build these. This is what we need. This is what needs to happen. So the reason that it took, it's taken a long time, is because it's loaded with DEI stuff. This Chips Act, and you'll hear some politicians brag about, oh, I'm all the Chips Act. to be held hostage anymore. We saw it happen with the China virus. We couldn't make anything.
Starting point is 01:12:28 We were short on the... We'll do it ourselves. Did you know the Chips Act itself has 19 sections aimed at helping minority groups? There's one part of this law, the Chips Act, that creates a chief diversity officer at the National Science Foundation. What? There's a section of the Chips Act called the Opportunity and Inclusion, right? It talks about the Department of Commerce.
Starting point is 01:12:53 It must work with minority-owned businesses and make sure chipmakers increase. increase the participation of economically disadvantaged individuals in the semiconductor workforce. Yeah, this is why this is not taken off. We're America. We need to cut red tape. We need to cut regulations. We need to just build. That's what we need to do.
Starting point is 01:13:14 But we need to build. But here's the problem also. Not only is it hard for these businesses, right? These companies are going to build the chips. It's actually hard for construction companies to build the assets. to build the actual factories that are going to build the chips because there's so much DEI in there. In this Chips Act, I don't know if you know this or not,
Starting point is 01:13:36 but it requires chip makers to submit detailed plans to educate, employ, and train lots of women and people of color and justice-involved individuals. Do you know what a justice-involved individual is? An ex-con. That's what it is. NXCon They have to employ all those people
Starting point is 01:14:00 or they're not going to get the grants to actually do the work. That's what it comes down to. And there's construction companies that are saying, we can't even do this because we can't find enough people. We can't find enough people
Starting point is 01:14:16 to work at our companies, construction, and even the chipmakers themselves. There's a company called TSMC. They're Taiwanese. They couldn't find enough skilled workers to fit every single requirement that the DEI was demanding under Joe Biden. They could do it. They had to fly 500 people from Taiwan.
Starting point is 01:14:41 And then the local workers were mad. You say, we're not skilled enough. And they said, yeah, we're not. You're not. We need to have all these other people to do it. And these people that are, that were ex-cons, they don't have the same skills that we need to do this. So this is why this has never happened.
Starting point is 01:14:58 And it makes sense now, doesn't it? hey yeah like here we go the chip makers that then take the grant money they qualify for it they are acquired by the Biden regime in this chips act to hire construction companies that have plenty of female construction workers even though less than 10% of American construction workers are women they have to have a certain amount of female construction workers or they can't hire them can't get it going they have to make sure they have child care for the female construction workers and the engineers that don't even exist yet they can't they they they were so delayed and it's all because of the government. It's all because of them. Yeah, this is,
Starting point is 01:15:39 this is why the Dems lost. Even when they have these ideas and goals, they can't even actually execute them because of their own stupidity. It should be talked about everywhere. I mean, this is, this is outstanding stuff, isn't it? It's outstanding stuff. This is why we don't have electric car charging stations. This is, and it's government crap. Like, who from the government's never had a job, right? They write this. You must demonstrate how meaningful public involvement, inclusive of disadvantaged communities,
Starting point is 01:16:14 will occur throughout a project's life cycle. So the electric car charging station demonstrate how it's going to be meaningful to the public throughout its life. Oh, God, incredible. I absolutely love it. So much more. We got to get into, I'll get into this to the next hour. apparently lefties love liberals love voting to raise minimum wage right but there's a lefty town
Starting point is 01:16:37 that is now said you know what this minimum wage that we voted for is so high we are not going to tip anymore excuse me those kind lefties those kind ones that's coming up at the top of the next hour um they're trying to scare us here in Arizona talked about the bird flu yesterday. Well, the biggest county in Arizona is now putting out major warnings about the bird flu. It is comical. I have that for you coming up. Gareth Lewis in for Glenn Beck on the Glenn Beck program. Starting point is 01:18:20 the satisfaction knowing that you've done your part to preserve your family's history. Legacybox.com slash records. That's Legacybox.com slash records. Garrett Lewis with you in for Glenn Beck on New Year's Eve. Last day at 2024. What an honor it is to talk to you. I hope you appreciate it. I do. If you don't like the job, I'm doing, you can completely let me know and tell me exactly what you think. My family does it every single day. I hate me up on social media. I'd care of it for everything. So before I get you about the word, the birdful, what, I just want to hit you one time because now that you know the reason why the electric car charging stations, seven and a half billion dollars is produced. Now it's, I think, 47 chargers in 15 states. You know it's all DEI related and craziness about how to apply and get the grant. Flashback to Pete Buttedge, Edge, Edge, Edge, Edge, the outgoing transportation secretary. is the he's a young guy that's a democrat they never talk about bringing this guy back right he can't really explain why at the at this time on face the nation uh back in may they only had
Starting point is 01:19:31 seven or eight charging stations listen the federal highway administration says only seven or eight charging stations have been produced with a seven and a half billion investment that taxpayers made back in 2021 why isn't that happening more quickly so the president's goal is to have half a million chargers up by the end of this decade now in order to do a charger it's more than just plunking a small device into the ground. There's utility work, and this is also really a new category of federal investment. But we've been working with each of the 50 states. Every one of them is getting formula dollars to do this work, engaging them.
Starting point is 01:20:06 And the first handful, again, by 2030, 500,000 charges. 500,000 in five years. If you do the math, you do the division of that. It's about 7,000 chargers a month, and they have 47. So I just hope the money is still there. Okay? And it's not like a cylindrous scam again where people are just claiming they're going to do it. They get money.
Starting point is 01:20:28 They never do it. Nobody ever tracks it down. But it's money laundering and Democrats and even some Republicans are big on that. That's why they end up being millionaires once they leave Congress. It's that in the insider trading. But other than that, that's really how it works. My gosh, just crazy. So yesterday, where I am in the Phoenix area, there was an alert, an alert.
Starting point is 01:20:50 an alert from the ABC Phoenix station. Justin Maricopa County officials say the virus link with the bird flu has been detected in county wastewater. County wastewater. Here we go. They are looking at people's waste. And of course, in this story, you got to go down and down and down and down to it. And they say there have been no detections of the viral strain and dairy cattle in Arizona. And it's only been two people.
Starting point is 01:21:15 And they say most common way to get it is by basically touching bird. crap and dead birds. So you're going to be okay. You're going to be just fine. But they are trying so hard to scare us. Get out of here. They actually brought on a heat czar here in Maricopa County, in Arizona. I made fun of it, and I never heard from the guy again.
Starting point is 01:21:41 I'm hoping had a big impact. More coming up, Garrett Lewis in for Glenn Beck. Hello, my name is Garrett Lewis in Arizona, sitting in for Glenn Beck. now on the Glenn Beck program. Sending off 2024, and I am so thankful that Trump won, and we did well, because it would be just a very tough pill to swallow, a tough show to do to try to talk about how 2025 is going to be okay with Camel and they're very thankful for that. One thing I want to see also go away in 2025 is this insane act of tipping for everything.
Starting point is 01:23:23 Matter of fact, liberals keep voting for a minimum wage increases, but now liberals realize we can't afford to tip. I have that for you coming up in 60 seconds. What is your New Year's resolution? If you're like most, there's a box of your family's treasured videotapes and photos tucked in a closet that you've been meaning to preserve, but you just don't even know where to start. That's legacybox.com slash records. Garrett Lewis with you for the final hour of 2024. I do the afternoon show in Arizona on KFYI and Phoenix, K&ST and Tucson. I'll be back to work in Arizona on Thursday. So I have a whopping
Starting point is 01:24:58 one day off fantastic, but I'm so happy and so honored to be able to fill in for Glenn and so honor that you are tolerating me and listening. I really do appreciate that. Remember, you can follow me at Garrett Lewis on pretty much everything. X, Instagram, at Garrett Lewis, truth social at Garrett Lewis, Facebook, Garrett Lewis Radio. And I thank you for following me. I'll be entertaining for you. So, look, 2025, can we stop tipping everybody and everything? And I'm a guy, look, I grew up in New York. He is supposed to tip everybody. Remember the scene from My Blue Heaven with Steve Martin and Rick Moranis? Steve Martin was the mob guy. Rick Moranis was giving him a, he was part of the witness protection program.
Starting point is 01:25:36 Rick Moranis was the FBI agent and Steve Martin gave Rick Moranis a tip when he put him in his new house in a new area with a new name. And Rick Moranis said, you don't tip FBI guys. And he said, sure you do. I feel like that's the way it is right now with everything. Why should I give you a tip? You are paid to make me a sandwich. Like you go to a sandwich place, right?
Starting point is 01:25:57 You got a coffee. Give me the tip. Like when I go to pick up my Chinese food, you are you are paid for this like I grew up working on Long Island at an Italian restaurant when I was 16 years old who worked at a pizza place slash Italian restaurant the front half was a pizza place back half Italian restaurant I did but I was a bus boy I also did slices right to go to the front and I got paid four bucks an hour work the slices nobody tipped me when I said what do you need they said give me a
Starting point is 01:26:27 slice of cheese give me a slice a white white white pizza all right put it in there, heat it up, but you go, nobody to me, it's my job. Now, everybody expects a tip because Biden inflation has screwed up everything. Everybody needs to make more money and business owners pass it on to customers. This is crazy. And then, and then, I mean, look, you tip, of course, if you get actual service, right? You're a bartender. You're a server. You get tips. When I moved to Arizona in 1998, I got a job after two days, walking up and down a street in Mesa at a red robin that no longer exists, but I got a job there.
Starting point is 01:27:10 And I walked to work, about a mile walk there and back, until I could afford to buy a car. I worked my butt off. I worked doubles. I picked up other people's shifts. I had nothing else to do. I was saving up to go to college. And I got paid $2.13 an hour because you made tips.
Starting point is 01:27:32 It's the ultimate in capitalism. If I give you really good service, you're going to give me a good tip. I'm going to earn what you give me. And of course, there are times where you get dopes that on a $60 bill to leave you a buck. And that's just a great life's lesson. There are jerks in life. That's how it is. I think everybody's working a restaurant doing something, whether it's a cook, whether it's a,
Starting point is 01:27:56 I really like the front of the house stuff. The server, bartender, because you have to deal with people. and you get very busy and you have to learn to work while they say while you're in the weeds. You have to figure this stuff out. So I made $2.13 an hour while I was a server and a bartender. And all right, cool, right? I was in the restaurant business from the mid-90s all the way until about 2002 when I got in a radio and took a major pay cut because that's just how it is.
Starting point is 01:28:26 and I happen to be talking to a guy that owns restaurants in Tucson, a great restaurateur, owns three great restaurants in Tucson. And this is going back, I don't know, eight, nine years ago. And I'm talking to him. And I had no idea that servers and bartenders got paid a much higher wage now. They were getting paid. I think it's right now, I think it's like 11 in change an hour. And I think the minimum wage in Arizona is something like 15 bucks an hour, whatever it might be.
Starting point is 01:28:56 And he told me, he said, the crazy thing is, he said, is that if I'm not busy, the restaurant, me, I have to pay the servers the difference to the minimum wage. So if they only get a couple of tables, I got to take money out of my pocket and make sure they make at least $15 an hour. I said, this is crazy. I said, if it's not busy, you quit, you will get a job at a different restaurant that is busy. He's like, it's all different. I'm like, this is eye opening to me now. And then people are convinced there's leftists that are out there. There's an organization called One Fair Wage.
Starting point is 01:29:32 It's led by a Berkeley professor, a hardcore socialist that is out there and she gets funded by all kinds of people, by the way, lefty groups. I saw that the Woody Johnson Foundation, which supported Trump, gave money to this organization. They go to different states. They've been in Arizona and Michigan. And they try to convince voters. They try to get it on a ballot. convince voters to increase the minimum wage for servers. And they basically want to make it like Europe,
Starting point is 01:30:01 where servers will get paid a crazy amount of money. 20 bucks an hour, 25 bucks an hour, whatever it might be. But if that happens, guess what? The price of the food has to go up. And that gets passed on to the customer. Guess what's going to happen to that? But the customer is not going to tip. But Democrats, and if you are Republican and voted to increase minimum wage,
Starting point is 01:30:24 you are dumb. Mostly Democrats. Vote for this stuff. And it's interesting to see the result. There was a story at the Daily Mail about this in Seattle. Seattle's as far left as you can imagine. Remember when Seattle was taken over in the summer of love in 2020? It was Chaz and then Chad.
Starting point is 01:30:49 They took over like six blocks. These crazy people in Seattle, the mayor. This dopey mayor lady. forget her name she was just like I this is fine it's just great it's love it get out of here so Seattle they voted to increase their minimum wage it's gonna happen January first it's gonna keep going up these people keep voting this way from $19.97 an hour to $20.76 an hour so now that these people are making almost 21 bucks an hour starting tomorrow all of a sudden the lefties in Seattle are like uh I'm not
Starting point is 01:31:24 going to tip anymore really You think? In the Daily Mail article, they talk about apparently someone who shared a Reddit post on the wage hike, picked up steam in Seattle. And they said with Seattle's new minimum wage going into effect really soon, most food industry workers are finally reaching a level playing field. As a result, I'll no longer be tipping more than 5 to 10 percent. I'm only doing that if service is exceptional. There you go. Any instance where I'm ordering, busing my own table, getting my own utensils, et cetera, warrants, zero dollars.
Starting point is 01:32:02 I'm not tipping at coffee shops anymore. Honestly, that's the way it's going to be. It's reported that Seattle restaurants are going to add on average 45 grand in expenses each month because of the wage increase. This is craziness right here. But it's interesting to me how Democrats who always want to talk about fairness and all this other stuff and they vote this way and now they're not going to tip. Now they're not going to tip. How about them apples? They are done with it.
Starting point is 01:32:39 So when I was talking to that restaurant owner in Tucson, he told me that the servers, the staff, they were all about increasing the wage. He goes, then I explained to them, do you know how much money you make right now per hour with tips? You make about 35 to 50 bucks an hour depending on how busy we are. You take this away. You're going to get your 20 bucks an hour, but you know what? people aren't going to tip which way you're going to make more and all of a sudden they're oh my gosh you're right once they got the emotion out of it looked at the facts all of a
Starting point is 01:33:14 sudden they realized this is bad this is really really really bad and this is where we're going now when i was a server i was a hustler man so when i first got hired what happens at least in my situation when i worked at this red robin is that there was a lead server and then I, right? Because I'm the new guy. I had a small section. We both started at 11 a.m. when the doors opened. And if it was slow, the lead server can cut anybody he wants. You know, you're going to make money. They worked harder. The lead server. So I would be the first one cut. Then other servers would come on. And these other people would be like, I don't want to work anymore. I'll pick up your shift. I need to make money. And I would do it over and over and over and over.
Starting point is 01:34:02 Again, it's why to me working as a server or a bartender, it is the ultimate in capitalism. because it really is as close to you get where the harder you work, the more you're going to make. The better you work, the better the service, the more, the more you can upcharge. You want some onion rings. You want this. The more you can make. I mean, I remember I would cut the cocktail waitress. I had a full bar.
Starting point is 01:34:23 I had 12 tables up in the cocktail lounge. And our server, they were lazy people, man. There was every three weeks, these old ladies would come in and play canast in a section. I would never, I'll never forget this. When they just sit there and they drink and order some food and the servers would complain, I don't want to deal with them. I'll take care of them. Run down for the bar.
Starting point is 01:34:40 I'd get their drinks, you name it, blah, blah, blah. Well, one day, as they're sitting in a section, had tall windows you can see to the parking lot, I happen to notice there was a very large man about, I don't know, three, four hundred feet away. I'm like, holy crap. Kind of looks like Shaq. But then I'm thinking,
Starting point is 01:34:56 why would Shaq be in Mesa, Arizona at this time, at a Red Robin? So I ignored it. Went up to the bar making these ladies' drinks. 30 seconds later, Shaq walks in. It was Shaq. He had to duck to get under the door. The door was huge.
Starting point is 01:35:11 He was seven feet. Duck underneath it. Biggest man I've ever seen in my life. As soon as Shaq walked in, I wasn't starstruck. I was just thinking, this guy's loaded. He's in the NBA. He makes a lot of money. He does endorsement.
Starting point is 01:35:30 He makes my, I hope he sits at the bar. He walked in, I guess, with his wife, I'm assuming he was a woman. And like a 12-year-old kid, I'm like, what's going on? here. I'm hoping he sits up in the bar area, man. You know, that's where he's supposed to sits. The cool area, the bar area. He sits on the restaurant floor, not on the floor, but where the tables are, right? Just not in the bar area. Okay. And this is before Biden inflation. Anyway, what he ordered, he ordered a Monster Burger, which is like two patties. I know this. I'll never forget this. The server that served him, very nice girl, honey,
Starting point is 01:36:04 was Elaine. She was very excited. The whole restaurant was buzzing. Shack is here. Oh, my gosh. This is like 1999, probably, maybe the year 2000. Shack is here. Oh, my gosh, this is crazy. So I'll never forget. And this is before Biden, inflation and everything. He had a 12-year-old kid, a woman, and Shaq eat. You know what the bill was?
Starting point is 01:36:23 39 bucks. Good luck trying to get three people to go eat in a restaurant today for 39 bucks. So 39 bucks. We all asked Elaine, how much tip did he leave? How much tip? Because we're all just wondering, right? and good on Shaq, I'll ever forget it. He left 150 bucks.
Starting point is 01:36:47 So she served one table and walked off with $111. That's how it's supposed to work. By the way, it was pretty funny. I want to get a glimpse of him. So it was Monday night, Monday, football's going on, somebody to the bar ordered nachos. Thinking myself, I'll go to get the nachos, bring him back. I'm going to walk by Shaq's table.
Starting point is 01:37:09 As I walk by, he's just huge. He has up with pint glasses. You fill the soda, the bottomless soda. and his hand makes the pint glass look like me holding a shot glass. And he just sucks the thing down. So I'm walking by and I'm like, I'm like, now's my chance to talk to him.
Starting point is 01:37:25 Say, hey, you need a refill? He looks to me. Yeah, I'm thirstyer than a mother bleeper, bro. All right,
Starting point is 01:37:30 you got it, man. He was very cool. Took pictures with everybody. I wish I still had that picture. He was just the largest man, just taught what, just the biggest human being I've ever seen in my life.
Starting point is 01:37:42 But this is how it's supposed to work. supposed to work this way where you earn it. I can't believe you work in restaurants now and you get 15 or 20 bucks an hour. This is insane to me. You know, now they even tip the cooks. Why do you tip cooks? They get paid. I was actually in Colorado Springs and there was a, for my son's hockey tournament.
Starting point is 01:38:09 There was a fee on the bill, a tax that I saw. I go, what is this tax? What am I paying here? I'll tell you about that coming up. Now, just getting back to the story about the tipping in, and again, all of a sudden liberals, they want to get people to make more and more money until they can't afford to go do the stuff anymore.
Starting point is 01:39:49 And all of a sudden, they don't want to be the ones that tip. They don't want to do that at all. No, no, no. So, and by there was a story in the Washingtonian a couple of weeks ago about how servers and bartenders and restaurants were upset that Trump's getting in there and the Trump regime's going to be in there. And there's going to be Trump officials, but then they admitted that Republicans are much better tippers than Democrats. So there you have it right there. So I was in Colorado Springs, which is a lib town, hold Lib state. but I see this, we go to a restaurant in between my,
Starting point is 01:40:24 or after one of my kids' hockey games at a hockey tournament, and I get the check and I noticed there was like some kind of, it was like an ELA tax or something like that. I'm like, what is this? Ask the server. Oh, oh, okay. She said that that's actually a tax that we pay to try to get our cooks to show up to work at night.
Starting point is 01:40:42 And I said, what? Yeah, so it's much busier at night for dinner than it is in the day for lunch. so the cooks really like working at lunch because they don't have to work as hard. Trying to get them to show up at night is hard. So there's a tax and it pools together. And we pay them that extra money to show up to work at night. I'm like, where am I?
Starting point is 01:41:05 What is going on? And that was last year when I was in Colorado Springs. So I don't understand the whole thing about tipping cooks. Like you choose to be a cook if you want to get paid more money. Because generally cooks get paid more per hour. They're supposed to. It's why servers get paid less. Like this is this is how it's supposed to work.
Starting point is 01:41:23 It's so frustrating. It is beyond frustrating that something like this, this goes on. But I mean, that's why I would never want to, and I love restaurants, man, but I would never want to own a restaurant because of this.
Starting point is 01:41:37 It's just not worth it anymore. Just not worth it anymore. I have some other stuff. So I talked a lot about woke stuff in the first hour, but I didn't get a chance to do all my woke because we're talking about insane things right now with these crazy rules to the wages and everything. So there's just some more when it comes to woke stuff
Starting point is 01:41:59 and talk about how Costco wants to continue to go woke. They want to keep their DEI program. Good luck, Costco. We'll see what happens. What Americans say about that. Now apparently, and this is not something that I played because I've said before, I played sports and I like chicks.
Starting point is 01:42:17 Dungeons and Dragons is now woke. I didn't think Dungeons and Dragons could get more dorky, but now it's gone woke. And if you played Dungeons and Dragons, that's on you. That's on you. Okay? Apparently Dungeons and Dragons, they have now issued new rules. New rules for Dungeons and Dragons. You can't make this stuff up.
Starting point is 01:42:41 I guess there was something called Species in the game. They've now changed. They're not races. It's now species. Can't be races. Some character traits are now no longer have a biological identity. Yep. You can't do that.
Starting point is 01:42:58 You can't do that. And they are now telling the players what they can do to make sure they feel safe when they're playing dungeons and dragons. Are you serious right now? How to be safe and be in a safe place when you're playing dungeons and dragons? Generally people play Dungeons and Dragons because they want to be in a safe place instead of a football field or an ice hockey rink. Wait till you hear this. This is incredible. Gotta get rid of the wokeness as we head to 2025.
Starting point is 01:43:30 Dungeons and Dragons. I'm going up. Garrett Lewis in for Glenn Beck on the Glenn Beck program. Glenn Beck. The new year is a time of reflection on the past year and hope for the year to come. Last year was a turbulent time for Israel and the Jewish people. The devastating and ongoing multi-front war, an unprecedented rise in global anti-Semitism, and the loss of many Jewish lives.
Starting point is 01:43:54 But there has also been an uprising of love and support from you, the listeners, and by the organization, the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. Your support of IFCJ has saved lives and answered prayers. Thanks to the generosity of people in the United States, bomb shelters have been built and placed. Life-saving food and emergency supplies have been provided to evacuees and those in critical need. And protective gear and medical equipment has been distributed to first responders on the front lines.
Starting point is 01:44:20 There is still more work to do. Join the movement of those who have raised their voices to support Israel and the Jewish people. We ask you to continue your prayers and ongoing support today by visiting support.org. That's one word, supportifcj.org. Glenn back. Miss his show? Listen anytime anywhere podcasts you're found. Stick around.
Starting point is 01:44:45 More after the break. Stay there. Loose. With you here. I can't speak over Glenn's daughter. Oh, but I thought I'd ask you just the same. What are you doing New Year? That's a great question.
Starting point is 01:45:30 That is Glenn Beck's daughter, by the way. Cheyenne Grace, Gary Lewis, in for Glenn on the Glenn Beck program. You can buy her home for Christmas. This song's on it. You could buy that. It is at glenbeckchristmas.com. what are you going to do for New Year's Eve? I will not be tipping people that don't deserve it.
Starting point is 01:45:49 I'll tell you what I will be doing. I will be doing. I'll be tipping people that do deserve it and not the ones that don't. And I overtip like crazy being in the restaurant business. How about that? It won't be woke. Be honest with you, I will be on New Year's Eve. I will be dragged around.
Starting point is 01:46:05 It's very exciting when you have a 12-year-old and a 7-year-old. Because what do you do on New Year's Eve is whatever. makes them not go crazy. That's what I'll be doing on New Year's Eve. I hope you have a great New Year's Eve. I think it's always amateur hour out there, amateur night. So I try to stay away from the crowds and the roads and everything like that, just to be safe because I've seen and you've seen what can happen.
Starting point is 01:46:30 So enjoy New Year's Eve. I'm hoping 2025 is going to be huge without an age, huge without an age. Let me get back really quick to Dungeons and Dragons. I will not be playing Dungeons and Dragons on New Year's Eve. I've never played Dungeons and Dragons. It's not my thing, but apparently it's gone woke. Can we get rid of the woke stuff as we get into 2025? What are they thinking?
Starting point is 01:46:53 Just like Costco, what exactly are you thinking? Hasbro is doing this. There was a report of the New York Times. Wizards of the Coast, the Dungeons and Dragons publisher owned by Hasbro, endorsed a trend throughout role-playing games in which players are empowered to halt the proceedings if they ever feel uncomfortable. What?
Starting point is 01:47:19 Now, again, I've never played it, but isn't it just a card game? I mean, I'll just say it. If you're sitting Indian-style for too long, do you... Whoa, whoa, not comfortable. How is it? How do you feel uncomfortable
Starting point is 01:47:32 playing Dungeons and Dragons? So Hasbro, which owns Wizards of the Coast, which publishes Dungeons and Dragons. Can't make this up. They suggest that extended Dungeons and Dragons campaigns begin with sessions allowing players to lay out their expectations
Starting point is 01:47:57 and which topics they wish to avoid, which could include sexual assault or drug use. Are people being sexually assaulted playing Dungeons and Dragons? Like, I would think you are going to be the safest because it's generally people that I picture like Big Bang Theory the characters from that playing Dungeons of Dragons What is making you do this?
Starting point is 01:48:29 Yeah, there's a guy named Ryan Lessard According to the New York Times, they call him a Dungeons and Dragons Master. He's a dungeon master. Parents are so proud. He's a dungeon master. He's quoted saying what they're trying to do here is put up a signal flare to not only current players but potential future players that this game is a safe, inclusive, thoughtful, and sensitive approach to fantasy storytelling. What? They don't want to use the word race.
Starting point is 01:49:06 Races of people. They're now species. You're kidding me. Elon Musk weighed in. He wrote on X, what the F is wrong with Hasbro? May they burn in hell. That's what he wrote. I'm not kidding you.
Starting point is 01:49:21 He's very angry, very angry. On top of that, there was a tweet by an editor of the Babylon B. This is real. Even though he works like Babylon B, his name's Kyle Mann. He took a screenshot of the latest woke rules. Because in the latest woke rules, it says here,
Starting point is 01:49:44 the Dungeons the Dragons dungeon master's guide encourages players to raise their arms in an X if they are triggered by, Any in-game content, you get triggered playing Dungeons and Dragons? I would think the only way a person that plays Dungeons of Dragons gets triggered is if they see a hot girl. That would be, whoa. Like, again, I'm thinking guys that play it, I'm totally stereotyping right now and I totally can. The guys from the movie Can't Buy Me Love with Patrick Dempsey, his buddies. Yes.
Starting point is 01:50:25 a consultant agency, Sweet Baby Inc. described where the game industry, the video game industry, and entertainment at large, is going. Do they not know who won the election? They say it's going to an inclusion-focused narrative and consultation company. They're working toward diversifying and enriching the video games industry. Oh, my gosh. So there you go. Can't they just leave things alone?
Starting point is 01:50:52 They ruin everything. They're ruining this. I told you Cornell dopey students. ruining poll dancing by having trans, which is guys and fat women do the poll dancing. We don't need this. Certain things, they need to be left the way they are. It's totally fine. Totally fine.
Starting point is 01:51:11 By the way, it was announced this morning that Joe Biden will be delivering a eulogy for Jimmy Carter. Anything Joe Biden does now. I mean, I just can't stand the guy. He's pure evil. but just hearing him talk is just excellent. But in just case you don't believe me, I'm not making this up. MSNBC here. Lye and repose here at the Carter Presidential Center for more than two days before traveling to Washington, D.C.
Starting point is 01:51:38 Once in Washington, he will make a stop at the U.S. Navy Memorial that is, of course, a tribute to his service in the U.S. Navy before continuing on to the U.S. Capitol, where he will lie in state after a ceremony with members of Congress. After that, there will be the National Funeral Service. That is where we expect that President Biden will eulogize his predecessor, someone he is known for decades. There you go. So I'm not making that up. I'm not making that up. So Joe Biden is going to eulogize Jimmy Carter.
Starting point is 01:52:12 I mean, they better hit him up with some of Hunter's magic candy to make sure he's going to be awake and alert and things like that because you never know what's going to happen. But I do have, I believe, a preview of what it's going to sound like when Joe Biden does eulogize Jimmy Carter. America is a nation that can be defined in a single word. I was in foot him. There you go. That's what it's going to be. We should all tune in. Now, part of me is going to, as a talk show host, right?
Starting point is 01:52:46 As a talk show host, I'm going to miss Joe Biden's epic disasters. But even though I'm being greedy and selfish as a talk show host, I know for the greater good of us, the country. What needs to happen is never hear this crap ever again because he has just done his best to utterly destroy our country. I mean, just looking back and as we usher out 2024 and we only have 20 more days of this nut job Joe Biden, who's already trying to continue to damage us giving $4 billion over the last week to Ukraine. Are you kidding me right now? people still in North Carolina are living in tents. This is what it's been like.
Starting point is 01:53:26 And the media is just, remember, they are just realizing that Joe Biden is not all there upstairs. He is, we should have asked harder questions. They couldn't figure it. Of course, they could figure it out. They just ignored it. Yeah, there you go. Anyway, I don't want to. Anyway, I don't want to.
Starting point is 01:53:50 The best way to get something. done if you if you holds near and dear to you that you uh what um like to be able to anyway anyway of puttun's kleptychic yeah 50 000 159 000 billion dollars let oh and then my favorite america is a nation that can be defined in a single word i was in a foot him a foot there you go Start your tape right now because I'm about to tell you the truth. Do it, Joe. And F you, if you can't handle the truth. Can't handle it.
Starting point is 01:54:31 This version of Biden, intellectually, analytically, is the best Biden ever. Not a close second. And I've known him for years. The Prasinski's have known him for 50 years. If it weren't the truth, I wouldn't say it. There you go. get ready to usher out all this stuff all this stuff and maybe we'll see some major differences
Starting point is 01:54:57 because people are getting their information differently and it's not because one thing is old let's just get that out of the way it's because things are terrible some things just stink they're just not good which is why they don't watch cable news they don't watch MSNBC or CNN they don't watch network news talk radio listen again
Starting point is 01:55:19 This is AM. A lot of stations that I'm on right now are on AM. And yet people flock to it by the millions and millions and tens of millions. Because it's the content. You can't get it anywhere else versus what you just heard from Joe Scarborough. Incredible stuff. Garrow Lewis with you on in afternoons in Arizona on KFYI and Phoenix. KNST and Tucson.

I think about the people in my life who have my trust and earned my trust. And the trust that I have placed in some people who I later learned abused that trust.
Starting point is 01:56:31 I know we're alike in that way. We don't trust a lot of people anymore. It's like we're all Ronald Reagan trust, but always verify, to make sure we're not making a mistake. I find it a little exhausting, quite honestly. And that's why I started real estate agents I trust.com. I didn't have good experiences with buying and selling my homes. So we built real estate agents I trust to introduce you to one of the thousands of agents all over the country that we work with, that we have verified that they will help you have the most successful and good real estate transaction possible.
Starting point is 01:57:02 Our network agents share our sensibilities, have great track records, are good and decent people, and I trust them to help you with your real estate needs. So whether you're moving across town or across the country, visit real estate agents itrust.com. The name says it all. Real estate agents, I trust.com. Gary Lewis, with you in for Glenn Beck, the final segment of 2024. And I am really hoping we can get back to just fun and normalcy and sanity in the world. Do you remember before the China virus?
Starting point is 01:57:47 Do you remember what the big stories were that people were talking about? Do you remember this stuff? People were arguing about paper straws and plastic straws. Do you remember that? People were literally arguing about paper straws and plastic straws. Things were so good. The border was secure. Gas was cheap.
Starting point is 01:58:08 Inflation was low. the economy was booming, the market was great, employment was up for everyone, that we had nothing else to complain about except paper straws, which are trash, which recently, by the way, I saw the best thing, I recently saw a paper straw
Starting point is 01:58:28 and it was in a plastic wrapper to make sure it's sanitary. I'm like, what are you doing? What is that? What is that? I remember one time, by the way, I was at a restaurant in Arizona where they brought over, the server brought over,
Starting point is 01:58:42 and I'm a nice guy, but sometimes I just want to make people think. Imagine that with this job, right? I'm nice guy. So the server brings over a drink and it's got a stupid paper straw on this. I'm like, I'm so sick of these paper straws. And the server made the fatal mistake of going, well, we're just trying to make sure that the plastic doesn't end up in the ocean. We want to protect everything in the environment.
Starting point is 01:59:04 And I looked at the server and I said, we're in the middle of the desert. Tell me what trash from the desert, where we are right now. Tell me what trash ends up anywhere near the ocean. And the server just looked at me. And the wheels started spinning. So I think it worked out really, really well that way. That was the big thing. I hope we can get back to that.
Starting point is 01:59:28 And the other big story that was going on to the world of the time before the China virus scam. People fighting at Popeye's chicken. Remember that? People were fighting over the spicy chicken sandwiches. I look we should never have this for society but it just for an entertainment aspect of things I enjoyed every second of this stuff because people went they went nuts they went crazy and I was loving it I'm like I just if that's the the biggest problem that we have we are in a great great great place we have worked to do but I think we can
Starting point is 01:59:57 get there I think we can get there I was wanted to know what was in those spicy chicken sandwiches that made people go insane make a movie about that one thing that I've also learned is that, you know, champion the champion politicians, there aren't that many of them. If one is near you that you don't like, don't ever be afraid to tell them exactly what you think. They will try to BS you and lie to you and tell you, you don't understand. Let me explain how things go. Whenever they do that, they're lying. Justin Trudeau, the male feminist, he calls himself a feminist all the time.
Starting point is 02:00:30 Loser, right? Apparently, he was on the ski trails. in British Columbia. This is how you're supposed to treat a trash politician. Listen to this. Mr. Prime Minister, yeah. Please get the f*** out of BC.
Starting point is 02:00:51 Have a wonderful day, man. Yeah, you suck. That's how it's done. That's how it's done. Garrett, are you telling you to certain politicians? He is horrible. He is horrible. When they were horrible, do you remember what he did?
Starting point is 02:01:08 He actually threatened. to confiscate. He did. He confiscated the bank accounts of truckers that didn't want to get a COVID shot. And that's just the start of it with this tyrant. So yes. It doesn't have to be a Canadian politician.
Starting point is 02:01:24 It could be an American politician. And just take it from me. Especially since the China virus scam. I know we've just met, but just take it from me. We've done a lot of good things in the state of Arizona because you call these politicians,
Starting point is 02:01:39 out there just not used to it at all even if it's one that you like they do something bad call them out this is how it works in real life you get called out in your job don't you listen happy new year I hope we have a safe prosperous MAGA year I think we will Merry Christmas Happy Hanukkah happy new year my name is Garrett Lewis I'm in Arizona on KFIi and KNST follow me at Gary Lewis on all social media thank you to BJ for doing a great job man, thank you for Glenn asking me to fill in.
