Starting point is 00:00:00 All right, folks, look, it is 2 a.m. in the morning on the East Coast right now at the time of me filming this. Yes, I'm awake. Yes, I'm paying attention to the news. But this story simply couldn't wait. I am sick to my stomach. I am disgusted. I am appalled at Donald Trump once more. And I think you will be too. We just learned that Donald Trump wrote a letter to the Prime Minister of Norway threatening to invade Greenland because he didn't win the Nobel Peace Prize. What do you even say to that? I mean, you might think I'm exaggerating like, no, that can't be.
Starting point is 00:00:34 That is way too absurd. In Donald Trump's America, anything goes. This is how he behaves. He didn't win the prize he wanted. So now the United States is going to go to war with NATO because of it. So we're going to read this letter, the exact text that Donald Trump sent and more. We're going to talk about it all. Make sure to subscribe down below.
Starting point is 00:00:52 Drop a like on the video. Comment. Let me know what you think about the story. And first and foremost, for some context, I want to show you Donald Trump's most recent comments publicly, at least, about Greenland. This is a press conference he recently had at the White House and listen to what he says about taking over Greenland. I would like to make a deal, you know, the easy way. But if we don't do it the easy way, we're going to do it the hard way. And I'm a man, and by the way, I'm a fan of Denmark, too. I have to tell you. And I'm, you know,
Starting point is 00:01:26 they've been very nice to me. I'm a big fan. But, you know, the fact that they had a boat land there 500 years ago. Doesn't mean that they own the land. I'm sure we had lots of boats go there also. But we need that because if you take a look outside of Greenland right now, there are Russian destroyers, there are Chinese destroyers and bigger, there are Russian submarines all over the place. We're not going to have Russia or China occupy
Starting point is 00:01:53 Greenland, and that's what they're going to do if we don't. So we're going to be doing something with Greenland either the nice way or the more difficult way. Nice way or the hard way, Donald Trump recently said. And that brings us to this letter. It's all connected. This is from PBS. They've obtained the exact text of the letter that Donald Trump sent to the Prime Minister of Norway.
Starting point is 00:02:14 And again, you just have to hear it for yourself. It's that bad. So Nick Schifrin says, POTUS sent a letter to the Prime Minister, and it links the Nobel Peace Prize to Greenland, reiterates threats, and is forwarded by the NSC staff to multiple European ambassadors in Washington. they obtain the text from multiple officials. Dear Ambassador, Donald Trump has asked that the following message be shared with Prime Minister Jonas Stor, and it be forwarded to your named head of government slash state. It's like a letter template.
Starting point is 00:02:41 And it reads, quote, Dear Jonas, the prime minister, considering your country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped eight plus wars, which did not happen, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America. Gotta pause really quick right there. I gotta use one of my timeouts in this video. What?
Starting point is 00:03:08 Trump is trying to connect him not winning a Nobel Peace Prize, which he did not deserve. He did not stop eight wars. He's making things up. He's saying, because I didn't win this prize for doing absolutely nothing, matter of fact, doing the opposite of peace, you know, invading countries, stealing presidents, bombing them, I'm going to invade Greenland.
Starting point is 00:03:26 that's where we're at in American politics right now. That's the diplomacy. That's the foreign policy that we're implementing at the highest levels of our government because he didn't win an award. Oh my God. He continues, Denmark cannot protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they have a right of ownership anyway? It sounds kind of similar to what he said in that clip, doesn't it?
Starting point is 00:03:51 There are no written documents. It's only that a boat landed there hundreds of years ago, but we had boats landing there also, Again, very similar to what he said in that clip we just watched. I've done more for NATO than any other person sits its founding, and now NATO should do something for the United States. The world is not secure unless we have complete and total control of Greenland. Thank you, Donald J. Trump.
Starting point is 00:04:17 Again, him saying that he's done more for NATO. It's like me saying I've done more for the New England Patriots to win the Super Bowl than Tom Brady. The seven rings he had, the six rings he won with. apparently I did more. That's what Donald Trump is saying here, essentially, when he says he's done more for NATO. All he's done is try to undermine NATO. This undermines NATO, writing to a NATO country that you're going to invade another NATO country because you didn't win a Nobel Peace Prize. The hypocrisy and irony is astounding. It would be hilarious if it wasn't so gross. And, you know, during all of this, at 11, 10 p.m. last night, Donald Trump was also writing
Starting point is 00:04:57 about Denmark and Greenland on social media, saying NATO has been telling Denmark for 20 years that you have to get the Russian threat away from Greenland. Unfortunately, Denmark has been unable to do anything about it. Now it is time and it will be done. He's saying the United States will do it. If you look at the letter, combine it with that public statement that he put out, it's so obvious that we are getting ready to invade Greenland. I hope it doesn't happen. But if we're basing our judgment off of everything that's happening publicly with Donald Trump, members of his regime, the letters that he's writing to head. of state around the world, it seems like we're right around the corner from invading Greenland.
Starting point is 00:05:31 It seems like it's right there. And remember, the other day, Donald Trump is now putting tariffs on countries that work with Denmark and Greenland. He said in a statement, we have subsidized Denmark and all of the countries of the European Union and others for many years by not charging them tariffs. Now, after centuries, it is time for Denmark to give back world peace is at stake. China and Russia want Greenland. There's nothing a Denmark can do about it.
Starting point is 00:05:54 They currently have two dog sleds as protection. only United States of America under Donald Trump, again referring to himself in the third person, can play in this game and very successfully at that, nobody will touch this sacred piece of land, especially, sorry, since the national security of the United States and the world at large is at stake on top of everything. Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Finland have journeyed to Greenland for purposes unknown, referencing troops going there for a military exercise. This is a very dangerous situation for the safety, security, and survival of our planet. these countries who are playing this very dangerous game have put a level of risk in play that is not tenable or sustainable.
Starting point is 00:06:29 Therefore, it is imperative that in order to protect global peace and security, strong measures be taken so that this potentially perilous situation ends quickly and without question. Starting on February 1st, all of the above-mentioned countries will be charged a 10% tariff on any and all goods sent to the United States of America. on June 1st, that tariff will be increased to 25%. This tariff will be due and payable until such time a deal is reached for the complete and total purchase of Greenland, so he will not remove the tariffs until Greenland is owned by the United States. There, he's saying a complete and total purchase of Greenland by the United States, but in other posts in that letter, he's indicating an invasion.
Starting point is 00:07:09 Remember, he said, do it the easy way or the hard way. So now he's tariffing our allies, threatening to invade our allies. this man is unhinged. He needs to be removed from the Oval Office. And thankfully, we actually have some Republicans who are saying that if he invades Greenland, they believe that this move is enough to end his presidency. And I know what you're thinking. No way. And to be honest, I'm thinking that too. You know, we always hear, oh, it's the end for Donald Trump. His term is collapsing. This, I get it. I'm there with you. When I hear this Republican say it, I'm like, eh, but there's something about this topic in particular that might be just too much for some Republicans to
Starting point is 00:07:48 stand by and watch. I mean, these Republicans got to run in swing districts. How are they going to go home to their voters in these swing districts that go 50-50? One day goes Democrat, the next day goes Republican. How are they going to be able to go back to their constituents and say, yeah, you know, I know things are expensive. I know you need health care. I know you need, you know, tuition paid and loans given and things like that. But what about Greenland? What do you guys think about that? Let's invade Greenland. They won't be able to do that. They won't be able to do that.
Starting point is 00:08:16 As I've said in videos previously, these Republicans care more about self-preservation than they do about Donald Trump. Their loyalty to Donald Trump comes from a desire for self-preservation because they knew, they know right now that if they do not suck up to Trump, every move, they'll lose their seats. They'll be primary or whatever it might be. They will lose their seats. So self-preservation, Donald Trump. Their self-preservation comes to with loyalty to Donald Trump. view. And so this Republican congressman, one Republican lawmaker, appears ready to spend his final stretch in Congress lighting matches inside his own party. Nebraska Representative Don Bacon said in an
Starting point is 00:08:53 interview with the Omaha, excuse me, World Herald on Wednesday that House Republicans would lean toward impeaching Trump if he followed through on his rhetoric about taking over Greenland. I'll be candid with you, he said, there's so many Republicans mad about this. If Trump moved forward with a takeover, it would be the end of his presidency. This is coming from a Republican Congressman. Bacon called the idea of invading Greenland utter utter buffoonery. He warned that the president's threats could fracture Republican unity in the House and prompt lawmakers to take action against a commander-in-chief threatening military force against an ally. Bacon is not alone. Republican Mitch McConnell delivered a speech on the Senate floor on Wednesday, arguing that
Starting point is 00:09:31 following through on such a move would devastate Trump's legacy. The Kentucky Senator warned that the decision would be more disastrous for the president's legacy than withdrawing from Afghanistan was for his predecessor referencing Joe Biden, which, by the way, Donald Trump initiated the withdrawal from Afghanistan. It put Biden in a bad position, but Republicans will never be honest with you about that. Nonetheless, this is bad. I feel like I'm, you know, dumbing it down a little bit when I say that. But obviously, this is catastrophic for the United States.
Starting point is 00:10:00 It's catastrophic for our allies around the world. This should send alarm bells ringing everywhere, everywhere. This letter, this continued rhetoric, it's getting worse by the day. So look, I just, I just, dude, let me give you the exact time right now. It's 224 in the morning at the time of filming us, had to get this story to you. I'm going to go try to get some sleep now. But look, make sure to subscribe down below. Drop a like on the video, comment.
Starting point is 00:10:23 Let me know what you think about this story. It is insane. I've said that a million times. But please, have an amazing rest of your day. Let me know what you think. We will talk soon.
