Starting point is 00:00:00 All right, folks, we have some major breaking news. It is currently 3.30 in the morning on the East Coast as I'm filming this. And Donald Trump just bombed Venezuela. We have struck military targets inside of the capital city of Caracas. That's been the main focus where we're getting most of the reporting, the photos, and the videos. And now you could arguably say that the United States is at war with Venezuela. It is an act of war. That's what we're witnessing right now.
Starting point is 00:00:26 And it's all happening. It's all unfolding by the minute. We are learning more and more as the hours go on. But this is insane. Donald Trump, the guy who said no more war, just launched a war against a country without approval from Congress in the middle of the night while everyone's asleep, hoping that nobody would notice. So I'm going to give you everything we know as of now. Before I do that, please make sure to subscribe, drop a like on the video, comment. I'm going to try to do my best to keep you updated on all of these things.
Starting point is 00:00:52 But this was confirmed to CBS News that Donald Trump ordered strikes on sites inside Venezuela, including military facilities. facilities, U.S. officials said as the administration early Saturday ratcheted up its campaign against the regime of President Nicholas Maduro. And I have some footage out of Venezuela of these strikes taking place of military helicopters in the sky. We're going to watch all of it right now. There's a lot of footage to go through. So just watch this for now. These are military helicopters, U.S. helicopters in the air in the capital city. So as you know you're not exploding? MIRDA, mariko,
Starting point is 00:01:54 it's a pretty bit, and that nirda, you? So as you saw at the beginning there, it looks like a lot of helicopters, but also transports. What we're transporting, we don't know. There have been, and I want to stress, unconfirmed reports of boots on the ground.
Starting point is 00:02:09 They have been circulating online. There have been some people have talked about it, but again, unconfirmed. So we don't really know what's going on. We don't know what the United States military is doing. Nobody is speaking on the record. A lot of White House officials have deferred to the Pentagon
Starting point is 00:02:21 and then the Pentagon has deferred to the White House, it's been a total mess. They're not telling us out anything, and we're having to get reporters to get people to speak off the record about what's going on, and they have confirmed that, of course, this is the United States doing it. But these transport helicopters, what are they doing there? And you can see in the background of this video
Starting point is 00:02:38 that there are strikes taking place as it's going on. It is pretty crazy. Here's another angle of strikes. I mean, an illegal war. That's what we're witnessing. Here's a port that was attacked by the United States. Just some major, major explosions. Here's footage from on the ground in Venezuela.
Starting point is 00:03:14 It's crazy what we're watching. I mean, this is insane. This is insane. There were strikes against the F, the 4F barracks in the mountains overlooking Venezuela's capital of Caracas, which houses a museum and the mausoleum of Venezuelan politicians, revolutionary and military officer Hugo Chavez. So, and there's also reports that we've targeted military officials in addition to the strike.
Starting point is 00:04:05 So we're apparently targeting bases, ports, military officials, homes, and things of that nature. And here's that footage of the strikes from the, I guess, overlooking the capital of Caracas. Take a look here. Boom. Ah, wow. They're going to explot their 4F. Wow. Wow, wow, wow.
Starting point is 00:04:29 And here's overlooking the entire city. Manico, we're going to move there. Yeah, grab there. Yeah, I don't know this mire. You can just see these explosions popping up everywhere all over. I'm going to show you some statements from American politicians and from the president of Colombia, who reposted the statement from the government as Venezuela. But I just want to show you what we know as of now.
Starting point is 00:05:13 So just two minutes ago, actually, this is from CBS. Again, I wish we had a better source than CBS with, you know, Barry Weiss, obviously being the editor. But these, this is where this source came from, at least. them confirming its American strikes. So the FAA just moments ago has banned commercial flights over Venezuela due to ongoing military activity. And they're saying as the U.S. carries out these strikes, the FAA has prohibited these commercial air carriers from operating at all altitudes over Venezuela citing safety reasons. The notice was issued at 2 a.m. local time in Caracas, 1 a.m. Eastern
Starting point is 00:05:46 on Saturday. But here's what we know as of now. So Trump ordered these strikes on sites inside Venezuela, including military facilities. Officials have told CBS, the strike follows months of of U.S. military buildup in the region, as we've been talking about on the show. In recent weeks, the U.S. has seized two oil tankers off of Venezuela, launched deadly strikes on more than 30 boats. The administration says were carrying narcotics and struck what Trump called, quote, the dock area where they load the boats up with narcotics. The Trump regime has accused Maduro of drug trafficking and working with gangs designated as terrorist organizations. And Maduro said this week, he's open to talks with the United States on U.S. trafficking. And this is more we're just getting
Starting point is 00:06:27 in as of now. I'm just trying to look for any of the updates here. Seems like things are kind of going in slow. I mean, sort of slow. I mean, it's relative. But we've already received international condemnation. Cuba has come out and denounce the attack as a criminal attack by the United States. Venezuela has accused the U.S. of very serious military action and more. And actually I have the statement here from Gustavo Petro, the president of Colombia. He has condemned it, but he also reposted the statement from Venezuela, saying that they reject, repudiate, and denounce before the international community, the extremely serious military aggression perpetrated by the current government of the United States of America against Venezuela. They also say that this act constitutes a flagrant violation of the UN charter, particularly its Articles 1 and 2, which enshrines respect for sovereignty, the legal, equality. of states and the prohibition on the use of force. They also claim that the objective of this
Starting point is 00:07:26 attack is none other than to seize Venezuela's strategic resources, particularly its oil and minerals, attempting to break the nation's political independence by force. The statement is very long. It is a complete condemnation of what Donald Trump has done, and we're already hearing from some elected Democrats. Ruben Gallego, Senator from Arizona, a Democrat, said, second unjustified war in my lifetime. This war is illegal. It's embarrassing that we went from the world cop to the world bully in less than one year, there's no reason for us to be at war with Venezuela. Somebody said, can you call Maduro a dictator?
Starting point is 00:07:58 And Ruben Gallego said, yes, he is a dictator. This isn't some magic word that makes war justified, which is right. Donald Trump went from saying, hey, no more war. We're not doing that. Your son's daughters, they're not going to be sent to a war under me. And then less than a year into Donald Trump's regime, we already have multiple examples of war, but this is perhaps the most flagrant one yet. I mean, we're watching with our own eyes strikes happening in Venezuela, and we are getting so much information at once.
Starting point is 00:08:26 So I'm going to continue to stay up for a little bit longer, and I will continue to track the story. But, man, crazy, crazy, crazy. I will try my best to keep you update on all of this. And of course, you know, don't listen to MAGA. They're not going to give reliable information. We will vet it here, of course. And it's just me doing it, but I will vet it. That's my guarantee to you.
Starting point is 00:08:45 I will leave the video there. Thank you so much for watching. Make sure to subscribe down below. Drop a like, comment. let me know what you think about the story. As I always say, I greatly appreciate you, and I'm sure we will talk very soon about this story some more.
