Look, I think it's safe to say that the FBI investigation into who killed conservative commentator
Charlie Kirk has really just been incredibly messy all over the place.
It doesn't seem like investigators know where to go to next.
They kind of appear stuck in the mud.
And there's been a lot of incompetence and misinformation throughout this process,
which we're going to talk about in just a moment.
But importantly, the FBI had a press conference last night with the governor of Utah and local officials
to provide the public an update on the search.
And essentially they don't have really anything.
I mean, they release some new camera angles of the suspect,
the person alleged to be the shooter,
climbing off of the roof of which they shot Charlie Kirk.
But other than that, we don't really have much.
So I want to run through all the different pieces of news
we've got in the past 12-ish hours surrounding this investigation.
There's a lot to get through, so I don't want to waste any more time.
And I want to show you the different,
clips from the press conference that the FBI had last night.
But before I do that, I want to just show you a clip of Cash Patel at this press conference
last night.
And, you know, body language says a lot.
And this is the guy who's supposed to be running the FBI right now.
Sorry about that.
Hi, everybody.
You know, he just looks completely clueless.
If I'm just being completely honest with it.
Like, he just looks all over the place.
He's kind of looking around.
He's looking at the ceiling.
He doesn't know where to stand.
It just, it doesn't look great to me.
This video.
and others I've seen of Cash Patel,
who didn't speak at this press conference once, I might add,
just doesn't instill a lot of confidence in me.
And in addition to the incompetence question
that I think a lot of people are raising surrounding Cash Patel,
it's worth pointing out that the FBI,
and specifically Cash Patel, fired the special agent in charge
of the FBI Utah Field Office.
Just recently, she had 20 years of experience
in counterintelligence and counterterrorism,
And yet for some reason, without explanation, she had been forced out of that office recently.
Another disastrous move by Cash Patel's FBI, which very well could play a role in what we're seeing right now in this kind of disorganized investigation.
At least that's what it appears from the outside.
And I want to be clear that when I'm talking about Cash Patel, I'm not talking about the entire FBI.
There are some very brave men and women in the FBI.
Men and women, I know, who I know are dedicated to this country and they really just don't deserve to be led by
somebody who is a right-wing podcaster. It's not somebody that's worked in counterintelligence.
But let's continue on the topic of incompetence. Cash Patel has really just made a fool of himself
throughout this because yesterday, or two days ago, I should say, on the day of the shooting,
he announced that somebody had been taken into custody. He thanked everybody who was involved
in it. And then later had to come out and say that that person had been released by law enforcement
because they weren't the guy. Right. And you know, you just shouldn't be posting things like this
until you're fully confident, but Cash Patel was just live tweeting the investigation, which just
reeks of somebody who's not qualified for this job. You know, if we had Christopher Ray in there,
the last FBI director, I think we'd be in a far better situation. But Cash Patel's live tweeting
investigations, having to backtrack, he's firing people who are experienced. And he just looks, you know,
completely out of place when it comes to things like this. And on the topic of misinformation as well,
which we're kind of looking at here with Cash Patel, I want to up to up.
you on the Wall Street Journal reporting that they had yesterday, where they talked about
a bulletin that was being circulated in the FBI in the Department of Justice that claimed
that the bullets found near the rifle that the FBI located in the woods nearby of the
university had engravings on the bullets. And it was allegedly social justice messaging
surrounding trans ideology and anti-fascist messaging. But now the Wall Street Journal has
correctly updated its story and said, that's probably not true. And that story spread far and wide
on the Republican side of social media, and they've been using it to demonize people.
After the Wall Street Journal reported, and we talked about this on this channel, that the bullets
had these engravings. They're now writing, the bulletin said an older model 30 caliber hunting
rifle was discovered in the woods near the scene of Wednesday shooting at Utah Valley University,
wrapped in a towel and with a spent cartridge still in the chamber.
There were also three unspent rounds in the magazine, all with wording on them, it said,
according to this, a bulletin that was circulated.
But Justice Department officials said the probe was in its early stages.
Investigators were still analyzing the evidence, and the bulletin may not accurately
reflect the messages on the ammunition.
These bulletins in these FBI investigations are usually not shared publicly because it's
very likely that they contain some misinformation. It's not 100% accurate. And ATF analysts have
not reviewed the evidence. So Wall Street Journal ran with it. Then they had to come out and
correct it. And according to further reporting, two law enforcement sources told CNN that agents
quickly ran an initial search on one of the markings on the bullets, including a series of
arrows, which analysts initially interpreted to be a connection to the transgender community.
that's where they got that story from.
That's where this information was placed in that FBI bulletin,
which is there were arrows on the bullet,
and they interpreted that as a connection to the LGBT-Q-plus community.
I don't know what is going on with this investigation,
but that just seems silly to me.
Now, I want to dive in to just some of the things that the FBI has released,
especially from that press conference that we saw yesterday.
Here's another angle that they've released of the shooter,
jumping off of the roof, of which they shot.
Charlie Kirk. Take a lock.
If you look up to the top left, you'll see the building where the shooter was prone
out in the top left corner. We'll go ahead and play that video and I'll narrate as we walk through
that. So here you see the suspect ran behind that upper building. He's going to come out on
the right, moves to this far right corner. As he does, he's going to climb off the edge and then
drop down to the ground. As he did that, he left some palm impressions. There's some.
some smudges and some places we're looking to collect DNA. There's a shoe imprint where we believe
the suspect is clearly identified as wearing converse tennis shoes. Again, we'll replay that again
so you can get another view of that. It's important to note his black t-shirt, his black pants,
and there appears to be some white on the soles of those converse tennis shoes. Those are all
identifiable items that we're looking for. In the stills that are going to follow this,
you're going to see a very distinctive t-shirt with an American flag.
And we're going to talk about that in just a second, that shirt in particular, which are, these are new photos that the FBI released yesterday.
And you can see this is the shirt we talked about on the channel yesterday that people have already identified.
And this is the suspect.
You can see, you know, black, as I mentioned, black pants, black T-shirt, hats, the American flag shirt, and whatnot.
This is the suspect.
And this is what we just looked at, that footage and these photos is pretty much everything the FBI has released to the public.
And that's what I mean when I say, like, it just appears messy with Cash Patel making statements and then retracting them with people being fired with the Wall Street Journal, putting things out that had to be later corrected.
I mean, it just seems like this is all over the place right now, which doesn't help the misinformation problem we have in the United States.
And it certainly doesn't help the investigation.
I want to continue on to another clip where the governor of Utah correctly said that a lot of misinformation is being spread online.
and it's being done by foreign accounts.
Foreign accounts in Russia and China are doing it.
That's according to the governor, Republican governor of Utah.
Take a look.
For those people who are spending so much time on social media,
I think Charlie said it best that when things get bad,
we should put our phones down and spend a little time with our families.
There is a tremendous amount of disinformation.
We are tracking our,
our team, the state team, and I'm sure the federal team as well, what we're seeing is our adversaries
want violence. China, we have bots from Russia, China all over the world that are trying to
instill disinformation and encourage violence. I would encourage you to ignore those, to turn off those
streams, and to spend a little more time with our families. We desperately need some healing. We'll have more
to say about that in the in the days and weeks to come yeah so i don't know if many of you are on
twitter or x whatever we're calling it these days but there's so much misinformation on that
website right now it's painful and it's so obvious that it's really not coming from mainly the
united states it seems like a mix of foreign accounts who are hiding behind anonymous accounts and
they're spreading misinformation to sow division or even incite violence in the united states
and the really sad thing is that i don't think the the left-leaning people on twitter are
falling for it, but the MAGA people certainly are, believing that it's automatically a left-wing
person who is incited by, you know, left-wing ideology and all this crap. So much misinformation
out there. That's why it's so important that we talk about this, we talk it through. And I give
you everything that we're seeing right now and we rely on official information coming from people
actually working the investigation. There was another quote I wanted to show you from the head of
Utah's Department of Public Safety that shows they really just don't know what's going on here.
and could this be up to incompetence?
Could it just be that there's not much evidence?
Who knows?
I mean, really, we don't really have an internal view of the investigation.
But when asked if the individual may be still in Utah,
the head of the Department of Public Safety said,
we have no idea.
They just don't know.
They have no idea.
That's his exact quote.
We have no idea.
We're exploring leads for individuals out of state
and individuals that live close by.
We literally have persons of interest tips coming in on the tip line
that are spanning far, far and wide.
This quote is pretty damning. We have no idea. 24 hours into this, over, well over 24 hours into this investigation, no idea. And I want to point out Ken Dillion from MSNBC who cited Andrew Weissman and the former director of the ATF that it's still very likely that authorities will catch this guy. I do have faith. And you can tell me if you disagree in the comments. I do have faith in the men and women of the FBI. Don't have faith in Cash Patel. I think the folks actually on the ground doing the work are fantastic. I have faith in. I have faith in.
in law enforcement, and I think that they will eventually get caught.
But so far, I don't think they're really instilling a lot of confidence in the American people.
So anyway, I just wanted to bring you all this information.
I know it was a lot to digest it once, but I will leave the video there.
All right, folks, it's 8 in the morning at the time of filming this East Coast time,
and we have some major breaking news.
Donald Trump just announced in a live Fox News interview that the suspect in the
Charlie Kirk shooting has been arrested. They've been taken in by federal authorities. Now,
before we even dive into this clip, I will say that the only person at the time of filming this
who has confirmed this story is Donald Trump. We haven't heard from other news agencies.
We haven't heard from federal government agencies saying that this is the case. So when it's only
coming from Donald Trump, I will say, take it with a grain of salt, especially because the FBI
brought into suspects who inevitably turned out to not be the person in question.
But now that we got that out of the way, I want to show you this clip of Donald Trump
announcing the arrest of this person.
And then later, this interview continued and it actually just got even crazier from this moment on.
So let's take a look at this clip and we'll talk about it after.
Can I always say, I think, just to protect us all and so Fox doesn't get sued and we all don't
get sued and everything else.
But I think with a high degree of certainty, we have him.
Right now.
In custody, right?
In custody, everyone did a great job.
We worked with the local police, the governor.
Everybody did a great job.
You know, getting somebody that you start off with absolutely nothing.
And we started off with a clip that made it look like an ant that was almost useless.
We just saw there there was somebody up there.
And so much work has been done over the last two and a half days.
You know, it's amazing actually when you start off with that and then all of a sudden you get lucky or talent or whatever it is.
So there you have it.
He says that the person has been taken into custody and then he ranted a little bit after the fact.
But the main piece of information that's ramble is that a person has been taken into custody, which again, I want to preface, take with the green of salt.
But I hope is true.
And I imagine that it's true.
Imagine we'll get further confirmation in the coming hour.
or is probably even a press conference.
And hopefully there can be some justice here.
The temperature in the country is very high
and hopefully some justice, an arrest,
will bring that temperature down a little bit.
But Donald Trump did a pretty poor job
of bringing the temperature down in this interview
and just the past couple of days.
We saw his statement from the Oval Office
before anybody was even caught
blaming the radical left.
And in this interview,
he kind of just continued to go down that path
of just being very divisive.
And here's another clip
I want to show you of him announcing now in the Fox News interview, making news again for the first time ever that he's sending the National Guard to Memphis, Memphis, Tennessee.
There is the next location that Donald Trump is sending the military after the American people.
And this is just moments after he announced that the suspect in the Charlie Kirk shooting has been taken into custody.
You know, one lawless action to another.
I mean, he's just all over the place. Take a look.
What's going to happen?
So I think maybe I'll be the first to say it right now again.
We're going to Memphis.
Memphis is deeply troubled.
And the mayor is happy.
He's a Democrat mayor.
The mayor is happy.
And the governor, Tennessee.
The governor is happy.
Deeply troubled.
We're going to fix that just like we did Washington.
I would have preferred going to Chicago.
I had a man in a big, the head of a big railroad.
They're doing a merger and he wanted to come see me and all that stuff.
And I asked him because, you know, it's one of the largest train companies,
maybe the largest, so you can figure out who it is, okay, Union Pacific.
And he was in my office, and he started off 45 years ago with the railroad.
It's such a great sir.
Sir, I'm a railroader.
That's the kind of guy that should ride it, you know, as opposed to a Wall Street guy
that destroys the railroad, but he's good financially.
And he was a very impressive guy.
And I said, so what do you think?
Where should we go next as a city?
Because we're going to go one, two, three.
And then we'll do a few at a time.
But we're going to straighten out the crime in these cities.
He said, sir, Memphis would be good because he's on the board of FedEx.
He said, when I walk one block to my hotel, they won't allow me to do it.
They put me in an armored vehicle with bulletproof glass to take me one block.
He said, it's so terrible.
I said, let me ask you a question.
So we're going to Memphis.
I'm just announcing that now.
And we'll straighten that out.
National Guard and anybody else we need.
And by the way, we'll bring in the military.
military too if we need it. But next. Yeah, wow, we'll bring in the military too if we need it.
I just want to point out that in this clip, there's so much makeup of Donald Trump's face, you can
see it on his lips. I guess, you know, I don't know who's doing their makeup over there at Fox
News. They probably should find a new job or whoever's doing it at the White House, maybe,
whoever made that thing happen. But yeah, announcing that the National Guard is now going into
Memphis, Tennessee, saying, we'll bring in the military if we need to, meaning in addition to the National
Guard, this, you know, federal crack.
from Trump is continuing.
And it's just so crazy that he just jumps from a tragedy in America, shooting in America,
to the National Guard being deployed in Memphis.
It's just like, this guy's just all over the place.
And even in that short clip we just watched, it was rambling incoherence from Trump,
telling a story about this fictional character that he probably made up saying,
you need to go into Memphis.
Maybe he had a dream.
Maybe he had a dream.
And that person came to him when he was sleeping.
I want to move on, though, to another clip where he,
kind of is just floating due process.
I imagine this is a connection.
This is in his mind because of Charlie Kirk in the shooting.
But take a look at what he said here
because it seems like he wants to model
our judicial system after China,
which I don't think anybody really thinks
is a great idea. Just take a look.
He did to her was unbelievable.
And then he walks through the knife
is dripping blood and everything else.
One thing I say, we have to have quick trials.
I call it quick trial.
Because in China, they do have quick trials, you know?
They don't wait.
six years and
you're playing all sorts of reasons. You end up guilty in China.
Oh, it's terrible. What happens here
is what happens here
is you go through seven, eight years
and by the time it ends
and then they say, well, you know, he had a reason
to do it because he wasn't treated right
in grade school and it's his teacher's fault
and it's the government's fault.
That guy should be,
they should have a trial the following day as far as
But do you know that they said? I mean, when you have
somebody on tape, here's a guy
on tape getting ready to
and then he did his thing.
The whole thing is on tape.
This should not be going,
and this trial will go on,
it'll start in two, three, four years.
We have to have, in certain places that do it differently,
to have what's called quick trial.
So he's referencing the awful stabbing
we saw in North Carolina recently
of the Ukrainian refugee,
along with the conversation on Charlie Kirk.
When the president of the United States
is saying that we should model our judicial,
system after China and have a trial the next day, that is deeply concerning because even the
man behind that stabbing, even the individual behind the shooting of Charlie Kirk should get a fair
trial.
I mean, that's the whole point of the judicial system we have in the United States due process,
right?
It's kind of like a fundamental thing here in America that even if a crime is caught on video and
we all agree that these individuals behind these crimes should go to jail and sit there for
the rest of their lives.
they still have a right to an attorney, a trial, and things like that.
And Donald Trump just seems to be willing to float these things in the name of what,
in the name of being able to say we did it and in the name of being able to say we just got it done.
I don't know.
Pretty scary to me.
Now, while we were watching that clip, I do want to provide you an update just briefly that NBC News is also now reporting that the suspect in the Kirk shooting has been arrested.
A family member saw the photos of the suspect and turned him.
into police to senior law enforcement officials say. So it's not just Donald Trump's word now.
It is NBC News and other outlets are reporting on it as well. And so we have more confirmation.
So the final clip I do want to show you here from Donald Trump in this interview is another
concerning one. It's, you know, the Fox host asked, what about radicals on the Republican side?
And he said, I'll tell you something that's going to get me in trouble, but I could care less.
The radicals on the right oftentimes are radicals because they don't want to see crime.
He's just completely brushing off right-wing extremism.
Take a look.
Radicals on the right as well.
We have radicals on the left.
People have gotten or watching all of these videos
and cheering.
Some people are cheering that Charlie was killed.
How do we fix this country?
How do we come back together?
I'll tell you something that's gonna get me in trouble,
but I couldn't care less.
The radicals on the right, oftentimes they're radical
because they don't want to see crime.
They don't want to see crime.
Worried about the border.
They're saying,
we don't want these people coming in.
We don't want you burning our shopping centers.
We don't want you shooting our people in the middle of the street.
The radicals on the left are the problem.
And they're vicious and they're horrible
and they're politically savvy.
Although they want men and women sports,
they want transgender for everyone.
They want...
All right, let's just cut him off before he goes on his rant.
This is insane.
How about extremism on either side is bad?
How about that there's extremism on both sides?
It's both bad.
And extremism, whether it be in the first,
form of right-wing violence or left-wing violence is bad. Why can't the president of the United
States bring himself to say it? You know, Trump has been given opportunity after opportunity to be a
leader, to bring the temperature down in the country. A hundred percent of the time, he rejects the
opportunity and goes into political attacks. He even said it himself. It's going to get him in trouble.
Couldn't care less. He knows what he's saying is divisive, and he says it anyway. And it's just
absurd. Any rational person who actually cares about America has the position of extremism is bad, period.
No but, no, well, but you know, this side is because of this. No, but. No, it's just bad across the board,
but our leader, unfortunately, cannot bring himself to say this. So anyway, the main story here is
that there is a suspect in shooting. I just had to show you the rest of these clips from this interview.
It's so insane. But thankfully, somebody's in custody. I'll keep you updated on any major updates. I'll
leave the video there.
All right, folks, check this out.
A ton of information is pouring in right now surrounding Tyler Robinson,
the 22-year-old man arrested for the shooting of Charlie Kirk.
We're getting photos of him.
We're learning about his family background, possible political beliefs.
The governor of Utah just spoke at a press conference moments ago,
which I'm going to show you a crucial clip from.
But before we do that, let's just start here.
with the mugshot of Tyler Robinson, who you can get a look at.
So obviously, this is him.
They took him in.
He was reported by family members after allegedly he confessed to them
and the family members reported him to the police,
which I can only imagine was such a difficult thing,
but of course, the right thing to do.
But this is his mugshot.
And as we're getting more photos,
people are pointing out that in the photo, the FBI released,
asking people to possibly identify him.
You can see the shoes he's wearing,
the Converse sneakers that they identified
at the press conference they had last night
are the same Converse sneakers
that he was wearing in a separate photo.
I guess this is probably college move-in day.
And you can see the Converse sneakers
are the exact same in both of these photos.
So this is Tyler Robinson.
This was him when he was younger.
This is him now.
He's obviously an older man.
I imagine this was when he,
the photo we just looked at
was when he was like 18,
and just getting to college and now he's 22.
But now I want to take you to that press conference I mentioned.
One of the crucial pieces of information we've received right now is the shell casings.
So we talked yesterday about how the Wall Street Journal reported that there were trans ideology,
anti-fascist ideology written on the bullets.
Turns out the whole trans ideology thing was total BS.
The governor of Utah just read out what was written on the shell casings.
And they're pretty stunning.
So let's just take a listen here.
here as to what was written engraved on the bullets used by the shooter.
...that had been engraved on casings found with the rifle.
Inscriptions on a fired casing read,
notices, bulges, capital O-W-O, what's this question mark?
Inscriptions on the three unfired casings read,
hey, fascist, exclamation point, catch exclamation point.
Up arrow, symbol, right arrow,
and symbol and three down arrow symbols.
A second unfired casing red,
O Bella Chow, Bella Chow, Bella Chow,
and a third unfired casing red,
if you read this, you are gay, L-M-A-O.
We are...
Yeah, so a lot of what he just mentioned
sounds like total gibberish,
but as a Gen Zer, I know that some of them are memes
among the younger generation. And so, you know, I don't really know what to make of this.
There is the, hey, fascist that was written on the casings, but also if you read this,
your gay is something that he just said, which is certainly not something I think a liberal
or a left-leaning person would say. Also, an important note that I know people have been
talking about is that the Utah governor said that the suspect is believed to have acted alone.
The investigation is ongoing there. And here's just a general summary from the press conference,
from the governor of Utah.
He said, good morning, ladies and gentlemen, we got him.
That's how he opened the press conference.
The family of Tyler Robinson said he'd become more political in recent years.
A family member and a roommate reported Robinson to the authorities.
Robinson mentioned Charlie Kirk was coming to UVU.
On the bullet casings, of course, Robinson wrote,
Hey, Fascist Catch, Bella Chow.
And if you read this, you are gay.
I really don't know what to make of these writing on.
the shell casings. And I don't think it's actually helpful for me to speculate. I'm not going to
like try to determine a motive here, especially just because the governor of Utah during this
press conference was asked, did he discuss a motive? And he said he just can't answer. So take a lot.
We, um, I can't, I can't answer that right now. Yeah, thank you. Over here. And it doesn't seem like
authorities are interested in talking about a motive yet. And as I mentioned, I just don't think it's
helpful to speculate as to why this person did it or what the motivation overall was.
But I think a point I have to make before we move on in just a second is that for 24, 48, 72 hours,
Republicans have been telling us that this shooter is likely somebody that's part of the LGBT
plus community, a liberal, an immigrant, something along those lines.
They've been demonizing groups of people using this tragedy to target groups of people.
And now this guy is like a straight white dude from Utah who came from a very conservative family, which we're going to talk about in just a second.
And I imagine that a lot of these Republicans who have been demonizing Democrats or demonizing people who already are attacked by the Republican Party on a daily basis.
I imagine that none of these people are going to retract their claims or apologize to the folks that they've been harassing for the past 24 hours.
Now, we don't know a motive here.
We don't know why he did it.
and we don't really know his political ideology,
but certain pieces of information have come out in just the past hour or so
that point to a possible political ideology.
But again, it's just kind of really up in the air,
if I'm just being honest with you.
For example, Midas Touch discovered this post
from the alleged shooter's aunt
who is not happy about anti-Trump protests in November of 2016.
She shared this post from Chad Prather.
He's a super-maga guy saying maybe it's time to protest the protesters,
like and chair if you agree.
She said,
sorry, I'm not sorry. So clearly this is a more maga person. We also know that the family here,
the family that is obviously like related to the shooter is very pro-gun. I mean,
there's a bunch of images of them wielding weapons or having weapons. I mean, it's very,
it's very all over the place. Like this one, for example, this is a relative of Tyler Robinson
holding firearms. And there's a bunch of different images of them doing something similar.
So a pro-gun family from Utah, a very conservative state, obviously, family members are reposting pro-Trump accounts.
And here's another interesting thing that kind of is a twist in all this.
Tyler Robinson is a registered nonpartisan.
His parents are both registered Republicans.
So raised in a conservative household, registered nonpartisan, so we don't really know the political ideology of this guy.
I think we'll learn more about ideology and motive in the next couple of days, weeks, months, whatever it might be.
but right now I certainly don't feel comfortable saying oh this guy is a Trump supporter or whatever it is
there's also an image circulating right now of him wearing a Trump costume in 2017 I'm not going to show it to you
because in the image there are some kids and I don't think their faces should be out there I don't feel
comfortable doing that so not going to show that post for now but yeah I just I'm not going to
speculate on the political ideology of this guy I just don't think it's responsible you know where the
side the left is the side of factual information we're not going to
assign something to somebody unless we're confident like the Republicans have been doing for the past 24, 48,
72 hours, just saying that this guy is this or this or this. It's the Democrats who did this.
It's been total nonsense and it's been a disaster. So we're not going to play into that. But I just wanted
to bring you all of this information. We're getting, you know, more info by the hour. Let's just see.
We have a new update from the Associated Press. What are they saying? Oh, it's just the mugshot being
released by them. Yeah. So, yeah, a lot of information is just coming out, but I just wanted to bring this all to you
right now. I will leave the video there. Look, I know it's been such a crazy couple of days.
I hope you're holding up well. You know, let me know in the comments how you're feeling.
