All right, folks, it looks like we are watching a deal between Donald Trump and Galane Maxwell come to fruition very publicly. Donald Trump wants his name cleared from anything to do with Jeffrey Epstein. Galane Maxwell wants to be let out of prison, and it seems like they're both willing to hold up their side of the deal. We are now learning that the attorney for Maxwell says that the convicted Epstein accomplice can clear Donald Trump's name in the Epstein files in exchange for clemency. We are watching a corrupt deal happen in real time. I'm going to give you the details on it, the exact statement from the attorney. We'll talk about all of it. But this is easily one of the biggest scandals we are watching in this whole Epstein saga.

But let's just start here with a reminder of. of what Donald Trump has already said when asked if he would ever grant clemency to Maxwell or pardon her.

Just listen. This was back over the summer when he was asked about Galane Maxwell. Say it. The Supreme Court is back. Yeah. They rejected today an appeal by Geline Maxwell to overturn her conviction. That means her only chance of getting out of prison is a pardon from you. Is that something you're... Who are we talking about? Geline Maxwell. You know, I haven't heard the name in so long. I can say this, that I'd have to have a lot. I'd have to take a look at it. I would have to take a look. Did they reject that? She wanted to appeal her conviction. And what happened?

They said that they were not going to hear her appeal. I see, well, I'll take a look at it. I will speak to the DAJ. I wouldn't consider it or not considered. I don't know anything about it. So, but I'll speak, I will speak to the DAJ. Why don't she be a candidate at the phone seat, sir? I don't know. I mean, I'd have to speak to the DOJ. I'll look at it. I'll, I have a lot of people have asked me for pardons. I call them puff daddy has asked me for a pardon. convicted of child sex trafficking. Yeah, I mean, I'm going to have to take a look at it. I have to ask DOJ. I didn't know they rejected it. I didn't know she was even asking for it, frankly.

Wow. And there are actually other clips of this. Donald Trump said this exact same thing many, many times. After saying he's going to ask the DOJ to look at it, he continued to say, well, I could pardon her if I wanted to, you know, I have the power to do so. I just don't know if I'm going to do it. the answer there from the president of the United States regarding someone like Elaine Maxwell should always be no I'm not going to pardon her I'm not going to give her any clemency why on earth would I do that that should be the real answer but from Donald Trump it's like well you know I'll maybe talk to the Department of Justice about it I'll see what they think I'll uh you know I have the power to do it if I want to it is insane his cover up his protection of people around Epstein

is so brazen it's so obvious and that brings us to the story today that the attorney Galane Maxwell saying that, yeah, she could clear Donald Trump's name if she is granted clemency. This is according to CNN. Galane Maxwell, who was sentenced to prison for 20 years for conspiring with Epstein, sent a clear message to Donald Trump on Monday that if he were to grant her clemency, she would clear his name of any wrongdoing, all of it. The extraordinary overture stated by Maxwell's lawyer Monday morning during her virtual

deposition before the House Oversight Committee ensures the Epstein saga will continue to remain a political hotspot, as it should. Donald Trump should get away with none of this. And this is the full statement that David Oscar Marcus, the lawyer for Galane Maxwell, read in front of the Oversight Committee, saying, quote, Galane Maxwell invoked her constitutional right to silence this morning before Representative James Comer in the House Oversight Committee. Here's the statement I gave to the committee explaining why.

Members of the committee, on my advice, Maxwell will respectfully invoke her Fifth Amendment right to silence and decline to answer questions today, even though she would very much like to answer your question. Really? Really? Maxwell really wants to answer those questions. She should just do it. I mean, you know, she's invoking her Fifth Amendment right to protect herself, but she's in prison. Is she really, really wanted to? If she really wanted to, she would. She must remain silent because Ms. Maxwell has a habeas petition currently pending that demonstrates that her conviction rests on a fundamentally unfair trial. Okay. Okay. For example, jurors lie during voir dire to secure seats on the jury and the government promised immunity and then broke that promise. By the way, these arguments have already been rejected by court after court, so obviously it's nonsense. But he is her defense attorney, so of course he's going to say stuff like this. Newly disclosed documents now demonstrate these facts conclusively.

No, they do not. If this committee and the American public truly want to hear the unfiltered truth about what happened, there is a straightforward path. Ms. Maxwell is prepared to speak fully and honestly, if granted clemency by Donald Trump. Only she can provide the complete account. Some may not like what they hear, but the truth matters. For example, both Donald Trump and President Clinton, are innocent of any wrongdoing. Ms. Maxwell alone can explain why,

and the public is entitled to that explanation. Yikes. Yikes. The Democrats on the committee are already accusing Maxwell of trying to buy her clemency by refusing to testify. Democratic Representative Melanie Stansberry said, we will not allow the silence to stand. They should not allow the silence to stand.

But this statement is interesting for a number of reasons because obviously she's offering Donald Trump a deal saying like, you know, I can clear your name. And of course she's going to say that, Donald Trump doesn't have any wrongdoing because if she did, Donald Trump wouldn't even consider pardoning her in the first place. This is like, kind of like an indirect nod to Trump saying, hey, I've got your back, right? In a public statement, he's saying, you know, she's saying he hasn't done anything wrong. There's no wrongdoing. You don't have to worry about it because if she said

anything else, Donald Trump wouldn't even be talking about her, wouldn't be considering a pardon. And I think they included Bill Clinton to make it seem like it's not a political thing, right? that both Trump and Bill Clinton haven't done anything wrong. So you know we're not trying to curry favors with Donald Trump when that's exactly what they're doing. I mean, they're directly asking for clemency from Donald Trump. They're obviously looking for a favor from him and they're trying to make it seem like they're not.

But whatever, that's the lawyer's job. I understand that he is a defense attorney. But what I find interesting about this statement in particular and her invoking the Fifth Amendment right is that she didn't do that when she spoke to Todd Blanche, Donald Trump's number two at the Department of Justice. Justice, his personal defense attorney, when she spoke to Todd Blanche, she spoke freely for that entire time. And because of it, she got moved to a low-level security prison. Just days after that, she got moved to a low-level security prison. And in an email to a family member, she said

that this prison she's in now is so much better, saying Brian is a different beast in every possible respect to Tallahassee. It is a well-managed, well-run institution with an excellent warden who leads from the top. She's a true professional and the best representative of the BOP I have met. The food is legions better, the place is clean, the staff responsive and polite. I haven't seen or heard the usual foul language or screaming accompanied by threats level that inmates by anyone. I have not seen a single fight, drug deal, passed out person or naked inmate running around or several of them congregating in a shower. In other words, I feel like I have dropped through Alice in Wonderland's looking glass. I am much happier here and more importantly safe. So yes, everyone can breathe a sigh. So this is Donald

Trump's favor to Maxwell that we've already seen because in that interview, she spoke freely and she also said she never saw Donald Trump at Epstein's house, which is not true because emails in the Epstein files show her saying Donald Trump was at Epstein's house and hanging out with him and things like that. So we're already seeing elements of this favor happen, elements of this deal happen. But for her to invoke her Fifth Amendment right here and not while speaking to Todd Blanche is pretty telling, I think, is pretty telling. And I want you to hear from Roe Kana on this to conclude, where he makes this exact point that she was very willing to talk to Todd Blanche, but not willing to talk to the committee. I submitted to Comer a letter with six or seven questions, things like who were the other co-conspirators?

Who were the other men who raped these underage girls? Did she have any conversations about a deal with Donald Trump? Now, she's taken a blanket Fifth Amendment on any question. And my view is that many of my questions, don't in any way incriminate her. So we'll see what she does. But there's seven questions that I have specifically asked. And the assumption is she's pleading the fifth to each one of those. And the American people will see that there's an inconsistency. Why did she not plead the fifth when Blanche asked her questions?

And now she's pleading the fifth about things that don't implicate her, but may implicate many of the other powerful people in the Epstein class that committed these crimes. Great point by Representative Rokana, who has really been great on the Epstein topic. But yeah, willing to speak to Blanche, willing to curry favors with Donald Trump, say things that are favorable for Donald Trump. But when she's put in front of the oversight committee, even being asked questions that don't implicate her or have nothing to do with her criminal case, well, it's the fifth. I got to plead the fifth. I don't want to talk. We know what's going on here. It seems like a deal is on the verge. Maybe, who knows, who knows when this deal might

happen, if it'll happen. But it's happening very publicly, at least. They're talking about there's not being very subtle. So anyway, I will leave the video there.
