Well, folks, Donald Trump is going forward with his new pet project, which is going to be incredibly expensive. It looks like crap. Nobody wants it, which means he's moving full steam ahead as he has done before with his different pet projects like the reflecting pool, the ballroom. And he's doing this one without approval like his other pet projects as well. Doug Bergam, the Interior Secretary, has confirmed that they are breaking ground in the next coming weeks on his stupid 250-foot tall arch, that arch that he wants to build between DC and. and Virginia that's going to cover Arlington National Cemetery. Donald Trump is moving forward with it. But I think there's a deeper reason as to why Trump is doing this, which we will talk about in just a moment.

But let me break down the basics for you, give you what we know so far about this arch. Please make sure to subscribe it down below, drop a like on the video, comment. But Donald Trump is breaking ground on his 250-foot tall arch near Arlington National Cemetery in Washington,

even before a federal review panel has approved the project. Again, he just doesn't care who says yes or no. He just does it anyway. And this has been such a frustrating thing in his administration, where we have courts occasionally standing up to Trump, which is great, they should. And then when it comes to the pet projects, they move far too slow. I mean, Donald Trump will just start construction.

He'll just do it and wait for approval later, which is what he's doing, it seems like, with the arch. Doug Bergam, the Interior Secretary on Thursday, announced plans for the excavation work, saying after a very long wait over 125 years, nobody's been waiting for this. What are you talking about? We are preparing to start over the next two-week period the excavation work necessary for the great triumphal arch. This will be one of the greatest pieces of American architecture honoring the history and significance of Arlington Cemetery and befitting the most powerful capital in the world. Hey, hey, Doug, you know what honors the history

and significance of Arlington National Cemetery? Arlington National Cemetery? Arlington National Cemetery. You don't need a big arch to talk about the significance of the cemetery. The cemetery speaks for itself. These people are idiots, I swear. The rush to push ahead with work on the arch follows a familiar pattern for Trump, who is frequently embarked on large-scale challenges to historic properties in Washington without approvals from Congress or anyone else, which is what he's doing here. And it comes days after the Supreme Court cleared the way for his administration to continue

building the ballroom. Preservation organizations trying to block the president's other construction projects had fear that the ruling would emboldened the president to disregard those other legal challenges too. And it seems like that's the case. And on the topic of the ballroom, its price has gone up significantly. So the arch, they say it's going to cost around $100 million, which probably means it's going to cost somewhere around $400 million. Similarly, with the ballroom, Trump said it would cost $200 million, then $250, then $400 million. It's ballooned to $900 million. And taxpayers are footing the bill for at least half of the project, after Trump said,

that it's not taxpayers, it's private companies, it's him, it's, you know, his donors and whatnot who are funding it. That is not true. Taxpayers are funding a significant portion of the ballroom. And Trump is kind of openly admitting why he's doing this. We talked about on the show recently how Trump is scared of dying. He's in full legacy mode right now trying to set his legacy. So future generations remember him. The only way that people in the future will remember Trump is very negatively. But he's very concerned about dying and very concerned about being forgotten. And so he's kind of openly admitting why he's building these monuments and dedicating them to himself. Check this out. It's kind of a stunning admission. I didn't think he would ever really say it,

but he has. Donald Trump made a stunning admission revealing why he's obsessed with remodeling Washington. Trump told New York Magazine recently that he is building monuments for himself and slapping his name everywhere because he knows that nobody else will do so when he's gone. So number one, he's openly admitting that he's honoring himself. He's putting up these projects to honor himself. And also, he's kind of admitting that he's so hated that nobody is ever going to want to build anything for him in the future. I mean, it's ridiculous. Reporter Ben Terrace shared with Trump, an attack line from John Ossoff, who says that Trump's obsession with vanity project stems from knowing he is the only person willing to memorialize himself. And Trump said, that's true.

Okay. Wow. Just open about it. Nobody will do it once I'm gone. When I leave, nobody will. Which is actually right, nobody will. He's also doing this because he knows his presidency is coming to an end. The midterms are not that far away. And it's not looking good for Donald Trump. This is a point that Gavin Newsom made. It's not just that his life is over. His presidency is over, too. This is what Gavin Newsom said while campaigning in South Carolina, as he has been doing in the past couple of

days and also Alabama. He's going in the Republican states because if Republicans can't win there, they can't win anywhere. Take a look. You are showing up every single day there. No peace, Miley. You're showing up for itself and you're showing up in these down-battle elections. I'm here to support these down-vattle elections because you want to redraw maps. It happens at the state level. Localism is determined to your legislation. It's matter. You are showing up. And this is remarkable. after losing almost 1,000 legislative seats over the course of the last decade. That is a terrible record.

You are 30 and 0 in the last year and a half. We have lost not one major race, legislative race. We've got 30 from red to blue where we need and he knows it. Donald Trump is on the ropes and he recognizes his presidency is over as we know it this November, as long as we run the 100-yard. We're this close. We're this close. with his presidency ending is the corruption being exposed even more than it already has been. I mean, He is making a bunch of money from the presidency. He's profiting from it. His family is profiting from it. There's allegations of insider trading.

Trump is trading stocks as president. And so he really doesn't want to lose power. He really doesn't want to be investigated, which is why it's so important that we win. Because Congressman Robert Garcia, who works on the Oversight Committee, says if Democrats take control of the Oversight Committee and Congress as a whole, they'll launch immediate investigations into corruption, into ICE, into the Department of Homeland Security, and more. Absolutely. I was hoping to underscore for the audience that you're the ranking member of the Oversight Committee. If the Democrats win the election, we get you, which is an amazing thing.

And as the head of this committee, it would allow you to do a whole bunch of stuff. May I ask you, if you're heading the Oversight Committee, what would that allow you to do in this case, for example? Well, in this case, we'd have immediate hearings. We'd be calling in the Postmaster General into oversight ASAP. Right? We'd want them in this week. What's going on? What questions do we have to have to be answered?

Broadly speaking, I think we're going to have a large agenda. I mean, USPS is important securing our elections, but so is taking on Trump family corruption, the corruption of Jared Kushner, the corruption of the Trump sons, the pay to play that's going on, or appears to be going on, certainly in certain other departments. We're going to also work on the Jeffrey Epson investigation to actually do real public hearings.

bring justice to the survivors. We're going to focus, in large part, on ICE and DHS, on how people's due process is being removed and taken away. The destruction of our vaccination system at HHS. So those are all investigations that are going to be ongoing. Certainly, when I'm able to lead the committee, those are all the main focuses that we have. And then lastly, we're really also going to try to focus on any sort of corporate corruption.

If there are people that are ripping off the American taxpayer, we certainly want to focus on those. Well said by Congressman Garcia, that all sounds good to me, and that's something that Donald Trump desperately wants to avoid. But look, the more that he digs his heels in on these vanity projects and just generally the bad policy, the more people hate him. So actually, I advise Donald Trump and the Republicans to keep moving forward. You know what I mean? Keep with the insanity. Keep doing your stupid stuff because if you keep doing that will win even bigger. I mean, the numbers support that. Democrats are down on their knees.

they're begging, please, please, please, please allow this election to be about Donald John Trump. Because if you could see this right now, Republicans are actually outperforming President Trump. Look at that. Choose Republicans for House. You get 41% of the electorate who say that. Approval of President Trump, he's only at 37%. So right now, Democrats are actually underperforming where they should be given where President Trump's popularity is. And Republicans are overperforming. Democrats are begging. Please, President Trump, get involved in. these midterm fights, we can do even better than we're doing right now. And of course, they are, in fact, leading right now on the generic congressional ballot by about six, seven,

or eight points, depending on how you average the polls. So if it is about Trump, you know, what are some of the numbers tell us there? Yeah, okay. There's another reason that we know that Democrats want this election to be about President Trump. And the way we can see this is break down your congressional vote, right? The choice for Congress, if your vote is a message about Trump, either positive or negative. Look at this. Democrats lead by 27 points among those voters. Twenty-seven points. Among all the other voters, the voters who say this is not in fact, their vote is not in fact the message that they're trying to send about President Trump. Look at that. Republicans are leading by 19 points. So Democrats absolutely want this midterm to be

about Trump because the voters who say that their vote is about sending a message to Trump, Democrats are crushing. The voters who say it isn't, Republicans are actually the ones leading. So if the president is trying to reach a higher number of voters with this message, hey, make the election about me. Are there voters out there who might be attracted to that message? already with him? No, no, this is the whole thing, right? I think part of the reason he wants this to be about him is because maybe there's those Republican voters who would stay home, but if it's about me, hey, those are the ones who come out in presidential years, right? Maybe they'll come out in the midterm. But take a look here. Republicans' approval of President

Trump. If you're already motivated to vote in 2026, right, your approval rating of Trump is 81%. If you look at those who are not motivated to vote, those who aren't either extremely are very motivated to vote at this point, look at this, Republicans' approval of President their approval of President Trump is just 58%. The Republicans who are depressed right now are the ones who actually are far more likely to dislike the President of the United States. The ones who are already motivated to turn out of vote,

they are the ones who like President Trump. So if you're going to motivate those Republicans on the sideline, the ones you're more likely to motivate are actually those who are more likely to dislike the President of the United States. Again, this is why Democrats are begging. Please, please, please, let's make this a midterm. That's why I say, hey, Donald,

if you want to keep doing your stupid stuff and you want Republicans to associate with yourselves, then have at it. I just want to win. I want to beat these Republicans so badly in November that they never ever try to associate themselves with MAGA or Donald Trump or that insane ideology again.

And so we'll keep our fingers crossed. But anyway, Trump is doing the stupid arch. I'll keep you updated on it.
