All right, so at the time of filming this, which is around 2 a.m. in the morning, yes, I'm awake. I'm tracking
the story very closely to keep you folks up to date. No person has been identified as a person
of interest in the Brown University shooting. Police have not released a suspect. Nobody's been
arrested. Nothing like that. We're still kind of nowhere on the case. So by the time you're watching
this, maybe somebody has been captured, but it doesn't change the fact that what Donald Trump posted
last night in the midst of this manhunt still happening is incredibly, incredibly disgusting and
disturbing for every single American, I'd hope. So I'm going to show you the post that Donald Trump
issued in the middle of the night. Before I do any of that, make sure to subscribe down below, drop a
like on the video, comment, let me know what you think about the story. And first, I want to start
with the latest on the shooting in Rhode Island at Brown University. And this is according to the New York
Times. Here's what we know as of now. Hundreds of police officers. Hundreds of police officers.
officers swarm the streets near Brown University late Saturday evening slash Sunday morning,
shining flashlights into parked cars in search of the gunmen who opened fire on students in a
campus building.
We now know that two have lost their lives.
They were killed injuring nine more, which is just so heartbreaking, especially with the
holidays right around the corner.
And of course, my thoughts and my love go out to the families of the victims and of course
the victims themselves.
Officials indicated that they had not identified the attacker who escaped onto the streets
of Rhode Island's capital.
They plan to release a video shortly that shows the gunman leaving the scene of the attack,
though his face is not visible.
I'll show you that video in just a second.
Quote, if anybody should recognize this person in any way,
seen him earlier, recognize his gate.
Obviously, we want to know about it, said the deputy chief,
Timothy O'Hara of the Providence Police.
Now, let me show you that video.
This is the only video so far that we have of the shooter.
And it's 10 seconds.
You can't see his face.
That's it.
So it appears to be a male, dressed in all black, and that's all we have, genuinely.
This is the only video footage that has been released by the university.
They said that they don't have any university of the shooting, or excuse me, any video of the shooting taking place inside the university, which is just crazy to think about as well.
But anyway, much of Providence remained on edge hours after the attack, which began during a final exam review session for a large economics class with residents staying behind locked doors as the search stretched into the night.
many students hid in dorms, while others took shelter in the basement of a popular tea shop.
The mayor of Providence said at a news conference late Saturday that officials had identified
a ninth victim who was injured by fragments in addition to the eight who were shot and taken to the
hospital in critical condition.
So thankfully, the ninth individual who's been identified didn't have critical injuries.
It was fragments.
I mean, that's still awful, but they are, of course, expected to make a recovery.
And here are some more specifics, if you'd like.
where it happened, city at standstill, chaotic situation.
That's the latest that we know right now.
The Brown University also said that law enforcement agencies have established a perimeter
around a portion of Brown's campus as depicted on the map below.
And you can see that essentially this area with all of these red blocks,
you have to go through all the checkpoints.
So it's pretty much locked off.
And again, at the time of filming this, there is still a shelter in place.
Nobody has moved.
And all of these people are sleeping in basements tonight or sleeping in their classrooms,
which is just unacceptable.
And that brings us to the post that Donald Trump made late last night in the midst of it.
And just let me know in the comments.
Just make a prediction right now what you think the post is going to be.
Is it Donald Trump bragging about himself, posting about himself?
Or what do you think it's going to be?
Just predict in the comments.
And if you said, you know, Donald Trump being selfish thinking about himself, you'd be right.
Because while this manhunt was ongoing, while police were providing updates, while a suspect is still at large,
Donald Trump at 9.19 p.m. last night decided to upload this image on Truth Social. It is a portrait of him, of course, because what else would he be posting? He could be posting our troops or Americans or something like that. But of course, he's posting himself with Christmas trees. And he didn't provide any caption. He just uploaded the photo while this is all taking place, while parents are panicking over whether their child is okay. This is what the president of the United States is doing. And I am just so sick and tired.
of the lack of leadership that we have in this country and we've had since January 20th,
2025 of this year, since the day that Donald Trump got inaugurated.
We are absent of leadership.
In a moment like this, you'd have President Obama, President Biden, or, you know,
a vice president Kamala Harris serving as president, they'd be on the phones.
They'd be making statements.
They'd be offering support and resources to investigators to find this person.
And they'd be calling up families.
What is Donald Trump doing?
Posting pictures of himself.
He is the most narcissistic, egotistical, psychotic president we've ever had.
I just can't fathom how self-centered you have to be to know that there are families whose lives were just turned upside down in the midst of the holiday season and you're posting about yourself.
And of course, remember earlier in the day, Donald Trump was the key perpetrator of misinformation surrounding the shooting.
While, again, a search was still taking place.
was no suspect in custody, people were still expected to remain in their location. Donald Trump
said at 544 p.m. yesterday, the suspect is in custody. He said they have the guy. They have the guy.
But then less than around 20 minutes later, Donald Trump said, well, actually, the suspect is not in
custody. The shelter in place should continue. And this could have gotten people killed. I mean,
what if somebody tracking the White House, tracking what Donald Trump is saying, who should be a
reliable source of information, but obviously are not with this guy in office.
If they were tracking this and they said, oh, the guy has been taken into custody, I can leave now,
they could have easily gotten shot if the situation was still taking place.
Donald Trump had no care.
He was just posting blatant misinformation online.
And here is just to give you some context about the response to this shooting.
This is, according to this person, a view from the science library at Brown University.
This photo has gone viral.
And just look at the line of police cars, ambulances, fire trucks, and whatnot.
all lined up.
I mean, tragic that this is taking place in the United States
and tragic that it takes place every single day.
Now, the final thing I want to show you is an interview with a girl who is, her name
is Katie's son.
She spoke to CNN late last night while still sheltering in place.
And I think it's really important to hear from her because it provides some much
needed context on just how traumatic this is for the people who are still currently
going through it.
So just take a listen to what she had to say in her interview with CNN.
Katie is still unlocked.
down in her dorm room.
Katie, are you with us?
Yes, hello.
Hi.
Hi.
Are you OK?
We're so sorry you're going through this.
Well, thank you.
I'm OK.
I'm doing all right.
Thank you so much.
OK.
It's a tough time.
I know.
It's really, really a scary and traumatic thing
to have to be on lockdown at your school
and to have violence like this around you.
I've been told you heard the gunshunds
Yes. I was studying in Barrison Hawley, which is the engineering building where I think the shooting happened. So I was in the front area and I heard like multiple gunshots like bangs coming from the back where the classrooms are. And I basically fled immediately, me and the other people that were studying there.
So Katie, you're saying you were studying there. There were exams going on at that time, right?
Yeah, so the way the building is, there's a pretty big building.
There's a front area called the ERC that has like a cafe during the week and there are some tables.
And then further back into the building, there are classrooms.
And I think that's where the exams were.
So I was in the front area of the building.
So I didn't see anything, but I was able to, I heard the gunshots.
And so when you, when you heard them, you said they sounded kind of like like pops?
Pops, bangs, I mean, at first, like, I mean, I've never experienced anything like this, so I didn't really know what to make of it, but there were just, there were so many in sequential and it was like bangs or pops.
And yeah, at first, like me and the other people that were there, we kind of froze and then someone was like, we have to go and then everyone just sprinted out.
I left all my stuff there. It's probably so bad.
No, that makes sense. Now you're there in your dorm room. Have you been told anything beyond just stay.
on lockdown?
That's all, like, officially from the school, we're just told to stay on lockdown.
I've been told that they still haven't found anyone, so trying not to go out and trying
to stay safe is the main goal.
I just can't believe that this is our country.
I just can't believe that this crap happens every single day.
And I can't believe that, you know, even after this, even after we're hearing these, you know,
college kids talk about being stuck in their dorm room and being fearful for their lives
in the middle of finals, you know, they're locked up and they have to go through this traumatic thing.
Even after all of this, the NRA will still send money to Republicans.
All these gun lobby groups will still send money to Republicans, and Republicans will still vote
against common sense reform.
We're just talking about, like, you know, expanded background checks.
Expanded background checks.
Raising the age to buy certain firearms.
Permit to purchase laws.
You know, basic things that other countries have and they work really well there.
And Republicans won't do it.
No matter what.
no matter what. And while the Republicans in Congress are taking their checks from the gun lobby and
they're saying, oh, I love this. More money for my campaign. The president of the United States is posting
crap like this. In the midst of all of this, a mass casualty event in the United States, another one,
another one on a college campus. And that's what Donald Trump is doing. I am sick to my stomach
at this presidency. I'm sick to my stomach at the lack of leadership. And I'm sick to my stomach
thinking about this tragedy. So look, I will leave the video there. Thank you so much for watching.
enjoy your Sunday, watch some football or relax or whatever you want to do on a Sunday,
take some time for yourself if you can. It's a crazy world we live in. So make sure to
subscribe down below, drop a like on the video, comment, let me know what you think about
this story. And as I always say, I greatly appreciate you. And I hope you have an amazing
rest of your day.
