All right, folks, check this out. I have an amazing video to show you from earlier today
that has now gone incredibly viral of Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries getting confronted
by MAGA representative Mike Lawler. He represents a district in New York. And their back and
forth was about the government shutdown and everything that has transpired with that. And in their
interaction, I think not only did Hakeem Jeffries stand his ground, defend the Democrats, and
defend the people we're fighting to work for, but also,
So he won the interaction, pushing back on Mike Lawler.
By the end of it, he was telling him to shut his mouth, which I always think is a good thing
to tell Republicans, especially people like Mike Lawler.
But when I talk about fighting against MAGA, I'm not only talking about Democrats doing it
in government and in Congress, I'm talking about doing it in person.
If somebody like Mike Lawler tries to confront you, stand your ground, don't run away,
and give it back to him.
That's exactly what he came Jeffries did right here.
So I'm going to show you this clip.
and then later, we're going to watch a clip of Senators, Gallego, and Kelly from Arizona,
Democrats confronting Mike Johnson over the government shutdown.
You have to see that clip too, which we will just look at in a moment.
But before I do so, before we get into any of this, make sure to subscribe down below,
drop a like on the video, comment.
Let me know what you think about this story.
And without further ado, let's dive in and watch this clip of Hakeem Jeffries.
from your boss why don't we sign on right you can easily extend your
did your boss don't you right now yes he is no he's not by the way let me ask you
let me ask you a question for years you're making you're making a show of this to
make it's relevant you can't sign on to you're embarrassing yourself right now you're
chasing your cloud you're an embarrassment you have four democrats
let me ask you question let me ask your question it's it's a clean
You voted for the one big one big one week vote, correct?
I voted for a tax cut bill that gave the largest tax cut to Americans in history,
including, by the way, the average New York are getting a $4,000 tax cut.
Are you against that?
You're embarrassing yourself right now.
You want to cut the standard deduction in the largest cut to Medicaid in American history.
You voted for that.
Waste, fraud and abuse, by the way.
You voted for a permanent controller of New York.
Let's your question.
Pointed out that $1.2 billion were wasted.
Listen, you're not going to talk, you're not going to talk to me. You're not going to talk to me and talk over me because you don't want to hear what I have to say.
Oh, I'm listening. So why don't you just keep your mouth shut up?
Oh, because you showed up. You showed up. And so you voted for this one big ugly bill.
You can extend it right now. A permanent extension of massive tax breaks for your billionaire donors.
So they can get a permanent.
man i love that i love that it's time that these republicans who try to create a scene in public who
i would describe as running theatrical government they don't actually care about you know
representing the people they don't actually care about making change they just care about
having videos like this go viral where they dunk on a liberal and then all their maga fans suck up
to them that's all they care about and that's exactly what hekeem jeffreys called out not only
did he say hey did your boss donald trump approve of you doing this
is he aware that you're trying to have an argument with this about me here? But he also called out
that that scheme that Republicans run, this theatrical governance, the looking for relevancy, the looking
for views and clicks online that has really motivated so many Republicans over the years.
I mean, basically every member of Congress that's on the Republican side tries to say the most
inflammatory thing of the day just to get, you know, a million views on Twitter or something
like that. It's so infuriating. And I'm glad that he came,
He's not only told Lawler to shut his mouth, but also pointed out how, yeah, the ugly bill
that you voted for, Mike Lawler, is the biggest tax cut for billionaires in this nation's history.
Mike Lawler is okay with giving billionaires a tax cut, but when it comes to funding health care,
extending ACA subsidies so a family make an 80 grand a year doesn't have their premiums go up
by $20,000, then that's too expensive.
But the tax cuts for the billionaires, Mike Lawler's perfect.
okay. And I'm glad that he came Jeffries called that out. And that's why I said that I think he won
this interaction. He told Mike Lawler to shut up. He got his points in. He let Mike Lawler yap, yap,
yap, yap, yap, yep, yep, yep, and then just hit him. That's great. I love it. Now, I want to show you
that other clip I talked about of Senators Gallego and Kelly confronting Speaker Mike Johnson. Johnson said,
reopen the government to them, which it's like, hey, buddy, you know, you control the House,
the Senate and the presidency. I'm not sure if you're aware of that, Mike Johnson. And then Gallego is
like your excuse just keeps moving because that's the goalpost that Mike Johnson continues to move,
especially with the Democrat, Alita Grahalva, not getting sworn in yet. I mean, we have this
representative, this person who was elected to office in Arizona to represent the people in Congress.
And Mike Johnson has deliberately not sworn her in because, number one, she'd be the 218th vote
to release the Epstein files, but also number two, she's a Democrat. And Mike Johnson would never
do that, even if it's pro-democracy. So let's let's see.
take a look at their interaction as well.
Hey, Beger.
Appreciate it.
Good to see you all.
Hey, so here's Congresswoman.
Yeah, re-open the government so we get back to work.
I mean, but this just keeps on moving.
Yeah, no.
It's not great if you want representation.
No, there's 750,000.
Wait, let me address the, you'll me address to answer the question.
We're happy that she got elected.
She's filling her father's seed.
That's fantastic.
We have a long tradition here and a process of how we administer the oath
to remember, you know, you served here for a man.
Oh, my God.
We're going to do that as soon as we get back to work, but we need lights turn back on, so we encourage both of you to go open the government.
So we did everybody back to the Republican swore the person in the same circumstance?
The exception is there were two Floridians who were elected in a special election that's happened a couple months back.
They were here on a day.
They had their families here.
They had a scheduled day for the oath of office.
And the House was called out of session that day.
They had all their family and friends here.
So we went ahead and went through the process.
in a performance. Let me finish.
Wait, let me answer the question. If you're going to ask it.
And so that was the exception we did because the family is here.
Ms. Grijalva, rep elect,
Grijalva has not yet had a scheduled date because she was elected.
Because of you.
The House was out of session.
So I am anxious to administer the oath to her.
As soon as you guys vote to open the government.
You don't want to be on the Epstein.
It's totally absurd.
You guys are experts at Red Herring's in the structure.
There's nothing to do with Epstein.
The House Oversight Committee,
the House Oversight Committee is working on the
This guy, I mean, you know, he's so slimy. He's so slimy. And on all of this is just pandering to the maga base, right? He's coming up with any excuse to not swear in rep elect Grahalla. And the senators were right to bring up the fact that this is because of the Epstein discharge petition. Think about it. There's 217 signatures on this discharge petition right now. Mike Johnson has fought tooth and nail to prevent the Epstein files from coming.
out. And then suddenly a Democrat gets elected in a special election. And now Mike Johnson's like,
well, you know, we have to swear her in when the House is back in session. We'll do it at a later date.
And he's trying to say that it's absurd that they bring up Epstein in this context. What I think is
absurd is Mike Johnson blatantly lying to the people. I mean, it doesn't take a mathematician,
a scientist or Albert Einstein to put two and two together here that Mike Johnson doesn't
want the Epstein files released. Donald Trump doesn't want the Epstein files released. So they're
blocking them from being released by refusing to swear in this representative. And it's just so fascinating
because when there's a special election for a Republican, Mike Johnson is quick to swear him in. He says,
oh, their family was here. So he swore them in. Really? Okay. So let's just bring her family in.
And then Mike Johnson will swear her in. Of course not. But he's quick to move on Republicans when
they get elected. But when it's a Democrat who got elected, by the way, overwhelmingly in an election,
then he's slow moving. Then he wants to take his time. And we'll do it when things are proper.
Give me a break. So today was a good day for the Democratic Party in terms of confronting Republicans
to their faces. A lot of these guys try to hide behind screens. And then when it comes to them in person,
they kind of crumble. So look, I will leave the video there. Thank you so much for watching.
I just had to show you these couple of clips. The Democrats are doing some good. Leave a like down below.
