All right, folks, there are some major updates surrounding Senator Mitch McConnell and his health, his staff covering up, his very obvious health decline. Matter of fact, one of his senior staff members was caught on camera yesterday approached by an independent journalist and asked questions about Mitch McConnell's health, and she didn't answer a single one. She just smiled the entire time. I guess she thought it was funny that Mitch McConnell has been missing for seven weeks and we've gotten no answer on his health. And I want to remind everybody at home that at every opportunity he's gotten, Mitch McConnell has voted against sick leave and paid leave. Every single chance he's had, he's voted against it. And yet for the past seven weeks, every single day that he's been out of the Senate,

he's been taking taxpayer dollars paying his paycheck every single day. Weird how that stuff happens, huh? Weird how Republicans vote against it, but they are the ones who also benefit from that very policy. But look, there are a bunch of updates I want to quickly go through with you right now. We're going to get through all of it in this video. We're going to break it all down. And let's just start here briefly because these are the two photos that Mitch McConnell has released, his kind of proof of life photos.

And if you're looking at them, in my view, none of them are especially reassuring. I mean, in both of them, Elaine Chow, his wife is like propping him up. You can see that she has her hand behind his arm in this photo. And in this photo, she also has her hand on his arm. And it's just like it's eerie. You know what I mean? It's kind of eerie photos. And he doesn't look great in either of them, but those are the photos.

that Mitch McConnell staff has released to the public to say that he's okay. And I want to show you some reporting from Aaron Parnas, who was on the ground in D.C. in front of the hospital where Mitch McConnell is. He's apparently doing rehab. And that's why he hasn't been checked out of the hospital. He's doing rehab after he just took a fall to get into the hospital. That's his claim. But let's hear from Aaron Parnas and what he had to say.

We're back outside the George Washington University Hospital where Mitch McConnell's security capital police detail is still out here right behind me in those black cars. Now, we do have important updates because today is August 3rd, and many people have been saying that this is a key deadline in the whole Mitch McConnell saga. There have been reports that August 3rd is the deadline by which Andy Bashir, the Kentucky governor, could essentially call a special election. Any day closer to November's election would be too close to have a special election. Well, today, Governor Bashir threw cold water on any meaning on August 3rd. Today is meaningless, according to Governor Bashir. And he makes clear that not having Mitch McConnell in the United States Senate is actually a benefit for Democrats, given the fact he can't vote on Todd Blanche's confirmation or any other bill currently pending in the Senate.

Now, the United States Senate is heading into a recess soon for the month of August. It's unlikely Mitch McConnell will be back in time by then. And then the Senate comes back in September. We'll see if Mitch McConnell is back by then. But his detail is still here. And there were a lot of questions, right, of is Mitch McConnell still at the hospital? His team says he's at a rehab facility. Well, here's the thing.

If you look at the statement from the physician, it says that he was discharged from hospital care, not that he was discharged from the hospital. And the George Washington University Hospital has multiple rehab facilities, both inside the hospital and also in and around this area in foggy bottom in Washington, D.C. of now, and I want to read you the full statement that Andy Bashir put out because this is important. There's a political aspect here of Mitch McConnell not being in the Senate. It is a benefit for the Democrats that he's not there to vote on Donald Trump's disastrous policy, but also I do think we deserve some transparency about his health. You know what I mean? And if he's not able to fulfill the duties of senator, then maybe there should be a special election, right? I think that makes sense.

Andy Bashir said, I know there are a lot of folks wondering about the significance of August third regarding a potential Senate vacancy, I want everyone to know that this date has no legal impact on my options should there be a vacancy this year. Worth a reminder, right now, there's one less vote for the Save Act, Trump's war with Iran, or the potential replacement of a SCOTUS justice. And I think Annie Bashir actually makes a good point. It might be to the American people's benefit if Mitch McConnell just stays in the hospital for the rest of his term and is unable to be back in the Senate and voting for Donald Trump's policies. But you let me know in the comments what you think about that, what your position on it is.

I'm curious. But look, I want to show you this clip of Mitch McConnell's senior staff member just dodging any questions about what's going on with Mitch McConnell. Desiree Townsend says, Senator Mitch McConnell's communication director, Stephanie Penn, refused to answer questions and simply smiled when asked whether it's fair that she and other staffers continued to be paid while Kentuckians go without. representation in the Senate. I think a fair question and she just doesn't answer. Tell us what's going on with Senator McConnell. We haven't had any updates. Is he doing better?

Do you by happen to know if he or can you tell us? Did he sign that July 28th letter or was that an auto pen from your office? All right. Thank you. Wow. I mean, just smiling the entire way. I guess, look, I guess she thinks it's funny. I guess she thinks it's funny that all of them get to get paid while people are struggling. Mitch McConnell's not even in the Senate. He's not voting. And he's still getting paid. He's getting paid our taxpayer dollars. I guess she thinks it's funny. But the journalist there brought up something interesting that actually, I think, deserves a conversation, which is that letter that Mitch McConnell signed and sent apparently to Donald Trump. But there's no answer on actually, did Mitch McConnell sign the letter? And if he did, you think it would be a simple, yeah, yeah, he signed the letter. What are you talking about? Yes, he did sign the letter.

But his team won't answer that question. Here's what I'm talking about. Missing Mitch's staff busted for faking his signature on this Trump letter. The mystery surrounding Mitch McConnell deepened on Friday after his office refused to say whether a letter sent to Donald Trump this week was personally signed by Mitch McConnell or by an auto pen. The July 28th letter signed by McConnell and every member of Kentucky's congressional delegation urged Donald Trump to approve a request from Kentucky Governor Andy Bashir for a major disaster declaration following devastating flooding in the state. This is the letter. It's a pretty typical letter of them saying here's what's going on, here's the damage, here's why we need this disaster request for

filled. And as you can see right there, that's Mitch McConnell's signature. And since he's been out of the Senate for seven weeks, we've only gotten photos of him, two of which are a little weird looking, regardless of what you think of Mitch McConnell, they're weird looking, Democrat or Republican, I think we can admit that. Is this his signature? Did he sign this letter? Well, they won't answer the question. But when the Daily Beast asked McConnell's office if the signature was handwritten or produced using an auto pen, his aides led by these senators, $226,000, year chief of staff, Harry Kamark, declined to answer. The silence adds another layer to the growing question surrounding the 84-year-old senator who has not been seen publicly since being hospitalized

on June 14th. That should really scare people, I think. The fact that they won't even answer a question about a signature. They won't answer questions about a status update. Can we just know what's going on? Can we get an update about what's going on with the senator's health? They will not do it. They will not answer these questions. That to me is concerning. And my, I add that when Joe Biden was in office for four years, one of the most productive presidents we've ever had, certainly the most productive president in modern American history, he was go, go, go, 24-7. When he was in office, Republicans requested like daily status updates about his health. I mean, they wanted him to like do a physical in front of the entire country,

but Mitch McConnell is missing, is missing, and they're not demanding any transparency. And I think this cover-up actually goes back quite a bit. I think Mitch McConnell has been unhealthy and out of it for quite a long time. Here's why I say that, because that same journalist, Desiree Townsend, just posted this video in connection with everything we know, saying that back in April, TMZ's DC, TMZ at Jacob Wasserman and Jacob Wasson and I went to Senator Mitch McConnell's office simply to introduce ourselves, Stephanie Penn, the woman we saw came out, handed us the office manager's card, Emily Loden, and seemed visibly upset that we were. even there. After that introduction, she apparently contacted the RTCA, the Senate Press Gallery,

and the Senate Sergeant in arms in an effort to have me removed from Capitol Hill, all because she introduced herself to Mitch McConnell's staff. Take a look at this, and she is hinting that maybe something has been going on for much longer, given this interaction. This is her first-hand account. So I'm leaving Capitol Hill. I wanted to share something really interesting with you that I almost completely forgot about. So when I got Stephanie Penn today, she is somebody we actually met. And when I say we, I mean TMZ DC.

So TMZ DC came in around April. And Jacob Wasserman and I, I was showing Jacob and Charlie around Capitol Hill, trying to show them like, here's where you go to get stakeouts, here's where to find people. And so Jacob and I, I go, I go in to Mitch McConnell's office with Jacob.

And we just introduced ourselves separately. They say they're with TMZ. I say I'm an independent journalist. And Stephanie comes out and starts talking with us. But she gave us business cards for somebody else named Emily Loden, which made it sound like Stephanie was actually Emily and the office manager. So Emily is the office manager. the reason why I'm saying this is there's an email

that I had to send to Mike Maestrian. He's the press, Senate Press Gallery, heads the Senate Press Gallery. And after Jacob and I, all we did was go to Senator... Hold on. Let's just quickly read this saying, hello, Mike. This is from her.

I overheard that Mitch McConnell's office had reported, I believe, to the radio and television correspondent association that the introduction and conversation we had with Emily Loden was classified as Lloyd, What? I and another social media-based correspondent, now here at Capitol Hill with TMZ, came into the office to introduce ourselves. Nothing was recorded of the interaction, and she gave us a business card.

I'm unsure of how this intro would be classified as loitering, but please let me know if you have questions. Let's continue. That's such a weird thing. Peter McConnell's office and introduce ourselves. Stephanie freaked out, and TMZ, from what I was, what I heard after the fact, had to have like a 30 minute meeting with the RTCA before they could get press credentials about going to Senator McConnell's office and just introducing themselves. And I thought the whole thing was so

incredibly odd. Why would you be concerned about an independent journalist and TMZ coming into your office and just introducing themselves? So right after that, I hear that McConnell's office headed by Stephanie was trying to get me kicked out at Capitol Hill. They were going to use this loitering charge, which obviously they couldn't do. It's illegal. And they weren't successfully able to do that. But the reason why I think the press has been kind of silent on this and has been silent on Senator Mitch McConnell's health for many years is because Senator Mitch McConnell

chairs the Rules Committee. The Rules Committee sets the Press Gallery rules. The Rules Committee also is able to use the sergeant at arms and Capitol Police to push out people or not credential people that may be, I don't know, digging into the capacity of an elderly senator. So I wanted to bring this up to you. I'm going to post this email on X and Twitter, I should say, so you can have it. So this was my email to Mike just explaining that. Jacob and I had just gone into the office. We just introduced ourselves.

That was it. But it ended up turning into this major war with Stephanie. And now I think I understand why they're all collecting paychecks while Senator Mitch McConnell remains in the hospital. Day 51 in Kentuckians go without representation in the Senate. Yeah. Wow. that, um, trying to get them kicked out of Capitol Hill for loitering. They introduced themselves to McConnell's office from what she's describing, nothing bad, nothing illegal, certainly nothing illegal.

Um, and they tried to have them removed. Seems like Mitch McConnell, if I had to take a guess, because, you know, we're all kind of guessing here because we don't know what's going on with Mitch McConnell. If I had to take a guess, it seems like to me that McConnell has been unwell for quite some time. This is not new. I mean, there's been videos and photos over the years of him being wheeled around in a wheelchair. There have been photos of him falling. There have been questions about Mitch McConnell. He's been freezing at press conferences for years now.

So it seems like there's something deeper going on here that, of course, his office will never be honest about, but seems like they are finally facing the music now, you know, with all the pressure that's been on Mitch McConnell's office.
