Harry Sisson breaks down the new viral MAGA attack on Governor Gavin Newsom as Trump and his allies fear what a 2028 match up would look like for them.

All right, folks, Governor Gavin Newsom is currently fighting back against every single MAGA commentator in America. All of them are coming after Gavin Newsom right now. It's almost like they get together every couple of months and pick on somebody in Democratic politics to make their next target of their disinformation campaign. And unfortunately, that just happens to be Governor Gavin Newsom right now. So I want to play you this clip that they're all talking about, show you some commentary from Fox News, MAGA commentators. They're all talking about it. and we're going to debunk it because I think it's very important that not only do we cover politics on this show, but we also debunk the lies that comes from the mag aside when it's going

incredibly viral so we can set the record straight and not let them run with the narrative that's just completely false. So to give you some context on the clip before we watch it, Governor Newsom was in Atlanta, and he said to the crowd, I'm like you. I'm a 960 SAT guy. I can't read. And MAGA accounts are trying to frame it as if he was

saying this to Black Americans. You can see the narrative they're trying to paint, which is not true whatsoever. It's not even close to true, and even some people on the Republican side are pushing back. So let's just watch the clip, and you can see what Gavis. Evan Newsom was saying without the mag a spin on it. I'm not, you know, I'm not trying to impress you. I'm just trying to impress upon you. I'm like you. I'm no better than you.

You know, I'm a 960 SAT guy. And, you know, and I'm not trying to offend anyone, you know, trying to act all there if you got 940. But literally a 960 SAT guy. I cannot, you, you've never seen me. read a speech because I cannot read a speech. It may be the wrong business to be in. So that's all he said, and MAG is running with it.

Let me show you some of what they're saying. Sean Hannity, Gavin Newsom thinks a 960 SAT makes him like black Americans. Let that sink in, is what Sean Hannity said. Benny Johnson, Gavin Newsom says he relates to black people because he got a 960 on his SAT and can't read. Ted Cruz, the soft bigotry of low expectations. That's the narrative they're trying to paint about this clip. That clip was great. I liked what Gavin Newsom said.

It was authentic. It was real. He's saying, I'm nothing special. I'm not some academic Harvard grad, elite, any of that crap. It's great if you are Harvard grad. That's fantastic. It's wonderful. But that's not Gavin Newsome.

That's the point that he's making. He's been in public service his entire life. There's nothing that makes him better than or less. then anybody. That's what he's saying. And Maga's trying to make it a racial thing. They're trying to say that he was saying this to black Americans. Notice how he didn't mention race in this conversation once, but they're saying that everybody in the crowd is a black American. And so there's video footage coming from the event such as this that shows that's absolutely not true. Yeah, I mean, you know, I think you can see for yourself. It's a diverse crowd. It's a diverse

crowd because Atlanta's a diverse city. Maga doesn't know that, by the way. They stay away from cities like going to Atlanta. They don't like talking about those cities. But it's a diverse city. It's a beautiful city. It's a great state, the state of Georgia. And they're trying to make it seem like something it's not. And by the way, I do want to highlight the response to Ted Cruz that Gavin Newsom said, you literally joke that black people eat cats, shut up. And it's a true, a true story, by the way. Ted Cruz gets brutal reminder after sharing racist migrants conspiracy. And so I love that response from Gavin Newsom, just tell them to shut up. Seriously, I'm so done with these Republicans in their lies. Let's have some criticism here. And of course, Gavin Newsom is the guy to do it.

Here's Izzy Garden, who works on Gavin Newsom's team, responding to this proud elephant account. Again, you can understand what party that account affiliates with. First, Maga mocked his dyslexia, and now they're calling Gavin Newsom a racist for talking about his low SAT scores. This is fake MAGA manufactured outrage. I love that sentence. This is fake MAGA manufactured That's exactly what it is. I can't even believe we're having this conversation. That Gavin Newsom is being honest about himself. He's self-deprecating.

He's giving opposition research that he got a 960 SAT. That would be something that most politicians would stay away from. He's giving them that. He's being authentic. He's being real. And MAGA is trying to make it something it's not. I can't wrap my head around this. And by the way, all of the MAGA fans who excused Donald Trump's racism are very loud today.

The governor has said this publicly for years, including with Charlie Kirk and dozens of other audience. Yes, this is something that Gavin Newsom has been very open about. He added that the same people who excused or ignored Trump, or excuse me, ignored Trump's racist ape video can go F themselves. Yes. I mean, what, two weeks ago, Donald Trump is uploading a video to his truth social page depicting Barack and Michelle Obama as monkeys. And Maga was silent about it. The White House said, oh, it was a staffer and we didn't watch the whole clip and Maga gave him a pass. Oh, it's okay. No problem.

And now they're outraged at Gavin Newsom speaking openly and honestly about his own experiences. It is mind-blowing, the hypocrisy, the double standard is mind-blowing. Here's Brad Palumbo, who is a YouTuber. He's kind of like he leans right, certainly more right-wing than he is left-wing, but he's a moderate. And even he is defending Gavin Newsom, saying I strongly dislike Newsom, but I try to be fair, and the MAGA racism allegation against him seems to be a hoax. The original claim was that Newsom told a black audience he was just like them because they had low SAT scores and struggles with reading due to dyslexia. Turns out the audience was

mostly white, and he has made similar self-deprecating comments to other audiences, citing his low SAT score and reading struggles. Verdict. It's somewhat cringworthy, pandering. You can have your own opinion. That's perfectly fine. But it's not racism. And the Republicans who are stretching themselves to insist otherwise are engaging in the exact kind of context-stripping, pearl-clutching, bad faith, bigotry accusations they decried on the left for years. So a debunk from somebody on the Republican side who is calling it for what it is. This is not what MAGA is making it out to be. And so I'm going to be speaking to Governor Newsom tomorrow night. Because what we're seeing right now on social media with them taking this clip of Gavin Newsom and making it something it's not and having everybody rally behind this narrative is exactly what's so wrong with social media and exactly why we need to be fact-checking stuff like this constantly.

Because if they have their way, MAGA would lie all day. they would take anybody, me, you, anybody in politics and make up crap about them. We see it do it, we see them do it all the time, whether it be a governor or a trans athlete in a state that they've never been to, and they pick on this individual and make their life a living hell. So I'm always going to fact check this stuff. I really am. And as I said, again, excited to speak to the governor tomorrow, and we're going to talk

about real issues, real things going on in his book, and not this crap from MAGA. I'm so sick. I mean, if you can't tell, I'm a little angry right now. But anyway, I'll put my emotion aside.
