Starting point is 00:00:00 If there's anything you watch today, make sure it's these clips of Governor Gavin Newsom during a summit held by Politico yesterday in California. During his appearance, he blew Donald Trump's plans wide open, exposing all of his secret goals, his secret plans with everything that he's doing in his administration, really putting Trump on the back foot. And at the end of the video, I'm going to show you a clip where for the first time, I believe, publicly, Gavin Newsom reveals what leaders around the world who have met with him are saying about Donald Trump behind his back. Now, before we get into all these clips, I'm going to show
Starting point is 00:00:38 you, make sure to subscribe to the channel, drop a like on the video, comment down below, let me know what you think about everything going on in America right now, and of course, this video. Let's dive in. Now, of course, Governor Gavin Newsom has continued to troll Donald Trump. I've been following this saga on this channel for quite some time. the brutal trolling that Gavin Newsom and his team are doing of Donald Trump. For example, you have this tweet the other day that where they ratioed Donald Trump's senior advisor, Stephen Chung. He said, no panikins. Donald Trump will always save the day regarding cracker barrel keeping their logo the same. And then the Governor Gavin Newsom account,
Starting point is 00:01:18 the press office account, ratioed them in 34 minutes, meaning that their comment, their reply, got more likes than the original post by Donald Newsom. Trump's senior advisor, and they're pointing this out on their page. They are continuing the trolling of Donald Trump. But Gavin Newsom got serious here. Putting the trolling aside, putting the mocking aside, the merchandise aside. Gavin Newsom is sounding the alarm here. And I think it's a really good place to start with this clip of him talking about Donald Trump not believing in free and fair elections, not only trying to cheat in 2026, but trying to stay in office beyond 2028. This clip's important. Take a look. You're not saying you think they're going to, Republicans are going to stop.
Starting point is 00:01:57 I don't think Donald Trump wants another election. You think for a second you want, I have two dozen Trump 2028 hats. His folks keep sending me. And you think he's gonna run again? Don't give me, you don't, who spends $200 million on a ballroom at their home and then leaves the house?
Starting point is 00:02:21 This is serious guys, this is serious. So it'll be Newsome Trump in 28. No, no, this is, there's no, this guy doesn't believe in free fare elections. He could, he tried to wreck this country. to wreck this country? What? Will we,
Starting point is 00:02:33 were you there? January 6th? I think Fox was. At least they were in a lawsuit. They seemed to have lost any memory of that. Shareholders didn't.
Starting point is 00:02:45 I mean, he tried to light democracy on fire. He dialed for 11, almost 12,000 votes. Now he's doing it in plain sight and people say, oh, it's just Trump being Trump. This is such an important clip.
Starting point is 00:02:59 And it's almost frustrating to watch. And I don't mean, to be critical of the crowd. I don't mean to be critical of the moderator. But they're kind of like joking, right? The moderator is saying, oh, it's going to be Trump, Gavin Newsom in 20208. The crowd is laughing at what Gavin Newsom is saying. And I, you know, it's humorous. I understand. But this is serious, right? This is not a joke. When we talk about Donald Trump trying to subvert democracy, it's not just, as Newsom said, Trump being Trump. It's not just like something that we accept
Starting point is 00:03:27 in America. This has never happened before in American history. where we have a current president of the United States with the constitutional restriction on serving more than two terms, as long as that's been in place, flirting with the idea of running for a third term and anointing themselves king. And by the way, not even having the election altogether. Donald Trump keeps talking about, you know,
Starting point is 00:03:49 in some of these countries that they get into a war, they don't have elections. Maybe I should be a dictator. I'm stopping all this crime. He's being serious. This is not a game. It's not something to laugh at. It's not a joke.
Starting point is 00:04:01 This is real. This is what Donald Trump is. doing. And I appreciate Governor Newsom getting up on the stage and saying, like, we got to take this seriously. We got to keep our eyes on the prize here and understand that all these different moves that Donald Trump is making build up to what Newsom believes, what I believe in, what I think you at home believe, his ultimate goal of subverting democracy, not only in 2026, but in 28 as well. Here's another one, which I thought was a really important clip from Gavin Newsom for you to see, where he talks about Donald Trump, and I think this caption perfectly encapsulated, Trump being
Starting point is 00:04:32 the most damaging individual in our lifetime. And look, I'm 22 years old. I can safely say that in the United States of America, Donald Trump is by far the most damaging individual in my lifetime, likely in yours as well. Let's take a look. It's made me more resolved, even more focused. I didn't hear much of that last panel, but I did hear Jim mentioned the recall. That's pretty clarifying, you know, a lot of finality in that, you know, a lot of humility. And that, you know, you don't come out of a recall campaign the same. I came into that recall campaign still arguing that the, you know, all politics is local. I still had a romantic notion of that.
Starting point is 00:05:15 I intellectualized that a lot of our politics and the discourse was national. I didn't fully appreciate how nationalized our politics have become. In so many ways, that shape shifted a lot of what we're doing and who I am today. but this last year, these last six, seven months, this is something altogether different. And I'm on the other side of any kind of hesitancy that I had prior. I'm on the other side of giving a damn about people's feelings about this moment. I will express myself more clearly and more concisely because I see the threats in very vivid terms in ways I never saw before. And I see the consequences of not just those threats from the administration, but the actions of this administration,
Starting point is 00:06:06 more perhaps than any other governor in the United States because I've seen the damage firsthand to communities, this economy, our reputation, to our allies, the world we're trying to build. This is simply the most destructive and damaging individual in my lifetime that happens to be the President of the United States, and I need to be held to a higher level accountability as governor. So in every way, shape, or change the way, I have changed. And I also, as a father, as a caregiver, recognize that ultimate judgment will come from them. And even myself, when I'm done, I have to meet this moment. And so, yeah, this has been very clarifying, has been very sobering.
Starting point is 00:06:50 This is the energy. This is the energy that we need against Donald Trump, elected officials saying, hey, we, We got to meet this moment. This is not the time as an elected official to back down to Donald Trump to bend the knee and let him do what he wants because it's the same old, you know, the parenting philosophy. When you let the kid get away with it, when you let them do what they want and give in to the kid, they'll continue to do it. Sometimes you got to play tough parent. Sometimes you got to play tough governor. Sometimes you got to play tough elected official.
Starting point is 00:07:21 And all these different precedents that we have where you, oh, you work with the president on this, you work with the president on that. Those precedents no longer stand when the guy that's currently in the Oval Office is breaking every single norm and rule, breaking the law almost on a daily basis as president of the United States, unsurprisingly, is a 34 convicted felon. That's got to go out the window. And so Gavin Newsom is saying here that his thinking has evolved. He's changed as an elected official. There is no more, you know, oh, we just got to have come together in kumbaya and we all have
Starting point is 00:07:50 fun. There's no more of that in Donald Trump's America. There was that in Joe Biden's America. Joe Biden got Republicans to vote for infrastructure, for gun control, for a variety of different plans, veterans' health care. That's not the thing that Donald Trump is pursuing in this America. And so if he's taking a different approach, a dictatorial approach to everything he does as president, then folks like Gavin Newsom, Democratic governor's got to step up and he is stepping up. I can say that with my entire chest, that he is stepping up.
Starting point is 00:08:20 He's meeting this moment. And I'm glad that, you know, he's not only changes thinking, but advocating for others too as well. Now, here's one of the major moments from this I wanted to show you, where Gavin Newsom reveals something pretty stunning that has occurred in his presence, which is he meets with a bunch of world leaders pretty frequently because California is the fourth largest economy in the world.
Starting point is 00:08:42 It's essentially its own country, basically, right? And so a lot of world leaders will meet with the governor of California to talk trade, to talk, you know, things like that. And so he's had a lot of experience with worldwide leaders. And he is saying that, a lot of these global leaders have confided in him saying Donald Trump's a joke. We're laughing at him behind the scenes. Take a look. I've had the privilege of meeting a lot of foreign leaders. What's the general? They're laughing behind his back. That did not happen. I'm making this clear.
Starting point is 00:09:11 They're telling they're- Do not conflate what I just said with the meeting I had with the Denmark delegation. It wasn't them. Other foreign leaders are laughing. I've had dozens and dozens. Ambassadors met with them. What are they saying? They're laughing behind his back. He's been played everywhere. It's an embarrassment. It is an embarrassment. I mean, you know, all the, you can look at the polling, right? When Joe Biden was in office, when Barack Obama was in office, the approval rating of not only the United States, but the office of the presidency and the president in America was really high in countries around the world.
Starting point is 00:09:49 You saw it in Europe. You saw it in Asia, Africa. People respected the president of the United States. As soon as Donald Trump got in, it cratered. And you can look at the polling. Fact check me on this. It cratered. We are laughed at with Donald Trump in the Oval Office.
Starting point is 00:10:03 He makes a goddamn fool of himself every day on the world stage. And what Gavin Newsom is saying here is not the first time that an elected official has said something similar. Remember, when Joe Biden was in office, he would often say that world leaders have said to him, you can't let Trump win. You can't let this guy get back into office. This is not right. They confided in him that they were happy that he is the president. and Trump was no longer.
Starting point is 00:10:25 So really stunning stuff here from Governor Newsom. And I really do think he's meeting the moment. And I'm glad that he's getting out there speaking on these important issues. And I hope he continues to do so. Remember, if you're in California, vote in favor of the maps this November. It's a big deal. This is undoubtedly one of the best clips I've seen all week. And you just need to watch it for yourself.
Starting point is 00:10:47 It's that good. Right now as we speak, a major protest is taking place against the Trump administration, and it's happening from within. The people you see on your screen right now are not just average everyday Americans who are fed up with what Donald Trump is doing. They work for the CDC. There was a huge walkout at the CDC in Atlanta today to protest Donald Trump firing top health officials because they wouldn't do his bidding, and of course his anti-health
Starting point is 00:11:17 and anti-science policies. This video is so inspiring, so hopeful. I have so many different videos and photos to show you from it, and you just got to take a watch because, you know, in a time of such darkness in the United States, little things like this can really lift your spirit. Now, before we dive into this video and watch it, I want to give you a little context on how we got here.
Starting point is 00:11:37 Make sure to subscribe to the channel, drop a like on the video, comment down below. Let me know what you think about this story. Without further ado, let's dive in. So it all started when CDC director Susan Monterez was fired by the Trump administration. after refusing to resign, citing reckless directives. Monterez's lawyers said she refused to rubber stamp unscientific reckless directives. The White House responded by saying that she wasn't aligned
Starting point is 00:12:04 with Donald Trump's agenda, which is, of course, an agenda that hurts the American people, not helps. The director, Susan Monterez, said she was resisting being ousted by RFK Jr. for political reasons after only a month in office. She's only been there for a little while, and Trump has already fired her, which is a common theme throughout the Trump admin. Quote, when CDC director Susan Monterez refused to rubber stamp unscientific, reckless directives, and fire dedicated health experts, she chose protecting the public over serving a political agenda. For that, she's been targeted, said her lawyers. Dr. Monterez has neither resigned nor received notification from the White House that she's been fired, and as a person of integrity and devoted to science, she will not resign.
Starting point is 00:12:49 added the attorney who did not reply to a request for comment, and then subsequently after that statement came out, the White House fired her. Donald Trump fired her. And we see this all the time in the Trump administration when someone won't do Donald Trump's bidding, when the data says something else. And that expert in their field decides to, you know, rightly side with the data, Donald Trump will target them and have them fired. And a White House spokesperson said that Monterez is not aligned with Trump's agenda of making America healthy again. Because according to Donald Trump, attacking science, withdrawing funding for vaccines that are showing incredibly promising results in different experiments and studies,
Starting point is 00:13:30 apparently that makes America more healthy. Just after midnight on Blue Sky, the attorney for Monterez said as a presidential appointee, Senate confirmed officer, only the president himself can fire her, adding at the time that she remains a CDC director, but then, of course, she was fired. This firing sparked a near immediate leadership exodus, and this is important for the clip, from the CDC, which is charged with safekeeping the public health. At least four top officials announced their resignations, including all of the amazing people you see here who are experts in their fields. They know what they're talking about. They're not losers like Donald Trump, who has no idea, his left from his right, his up from his down. They know what they're talking about
Starting point is 00:14:10 when it comes to medicine and when it comes to science. And that led to this massive, protests you see today. These folks who resigned were forced out of the building by security at the CDC and in Atlanta. And so workers came out and decided to surround them and give them essentially a walk of honor, applauding them as they walked out of the building. And honestly, you just got to see the clip. I mean, it just gave me so much hope and really inspired me when I saw it. So without further ado, I just want to play it and show you some photos from the day. Take a look. You know, the resolve of the American people will always be stronger than that of Donald Trump and his goons. I mean, and that's just the reality. We see it with the No Kings protests. We see it with everyday things like this.
Starting point is 00:15:35 And in this crowd, you see both CDC workers and average everyday folks who are fed up with what Donald Trump is doing. As I mentioned, there was just a huge walkout at the CDC where dozens of staff members and leaders staged this walkout in response to the firings. The staff began their clapout protests where staffers march hold signs and clap outside the CDC Atlanta headquarters to support staff who had resigned according to one staff member. And you just saw it in that clip. And there are some amazing photos from the scene. That video was just a small part of the clap protest that we saw today. This is from the AP Live feed. And you can see all these different workers outside of the CDC building clapping for these resigned, the officials who resigned because of what Donald Trump is doing.
Starting point is 00:16:22 Here's another angle of the walk of honor. I'd like to call it that they got. And you can see that this crowd is deep. This crowd goes. Not only do you have workers out there. You have people who are on the street. And I mean, it goes all the way back. Behind this red car, you can see there's people there.
Starting point is 00:16:37 There's people with signs. They were all waiting for these fired workers to come out to say thank you. And show them some love in the comments. Drop some blue hearts, some claps. Whatever you got to do. Show them some love in the comments because, man, this is inspiring. Here's another clip or a photo I want to show you, which is kind of deeper in the crowd that we just talked about. All these folks, CDC workers, average everyday Americans standing outside of the building.
Starting point is 00:17:01 And you can see folks from different walks of life, young, old, different races, different genders, different sexual orientations, really, really inspiring stuff. And that's why I say the resolve of the American people is stronger. And through all of this drama, this pushback from the American people to what Trump is doing, the White House doubled down. A reporter asked Caroline Levitt today why the CDC director was fired. What specifically did she do wrong? And as you can probably guess by now, Caroline Levitt had no answer for the question. Take a look. Caroline, thank you so much.
Starting point is 00:17:33 First, on the firing of the CDC director. First, we'll replace her. And then also, overnight the White House said that she did not align with the president's agenda. Dr. Monars' attorney say that she refused to rubber stamp unscientific reckless directives and fired dedicated health experts. What specifically did she do wrong? Look, what I will say about this individual is that her lawyer's statement
Starting point is 00:17:56 made it abundantly clear themselves that she was not aligned with the president's mission to make America healthy again. And the secretary asked her to resign. She said she would, and then she said she wouldn't. So the president fired her, which he has every right to do. It was President Trump, who was overwhelmingly reelected
Starting point is 00:18:13 on November 5th. This woman has never received a vote in her life, and the president has the authority to fire those who are not aligned with his mission. A new replacement will be announced by either the president or the secretary very soon. And the president and secretary Kennedy are committed to restoring trust and transparency and credibility to the CDC by ensuring their leadership and their decisions are more public-facing, more accountable, strengthening our public health system, and restoring it to its core mission
Starting point is 00:18:39 of protecting Americans from communicable diseases, investing in innovation to prevent detection, respond to future threats. That's the mission of the CDC. and we're going to make sure that folks that are in positions of leadership there are aligned with that mission. Yeah, they were. They were. The officials of the CDC who were fired and ousted or resigned are dedicated to that mission.
Starting point is 00:19:02 They've dedicated their lives to health and public safety from a medical perspective. They've done all that. They're the ones relying on the research. People like Caroline Levitt, losers like her, again, have no idea what they're talking about and defunding health initiatives. You know what? Let me say something different because this is important. I want Caroline Levitt to get up on the podium and tell us, how is defunding childhood cancer research making America healthier?
Starting point is 00:19:30 How is defunding cancer research making America healthier? How is defunding research for mRNA vaccines, which are truly a gift to humanity? One of the most promising things in medicine right now, which can tackle a variety of diseases, not just one. It can tackle a lot. and clinical trials are showing to be incredibly promising. How is defunding these things actually helping America's health? I wish a journalist in that room would ask her.
Starting point is 00:19:58 Now, a lot of those journalists in there because the White House now picks the press pool are MAGA. They will not do this. They will give her a softball question of why is Donald Trump so great? But these are the questions that need to be answered and they're not doing it. So shout out to everybody that showed up for the protest today. If you did, let me know in the comments. I really want to hear from you on the story, but I'll leave the video there, just had to share you this clip.
Starting point is 00:20:21 And thank you so much for being here. Have an amazing rest of your day.
