Starting point is 00:00:00 All right, folks, it is getting really bad, really quickly. Donald Trump is now escalating his threats against Greenland, essentially saying that we are going to take the island. And if somebody tries to stop us, well, they will face the United States military and we will destroy them. And that sentiment, these escalations have now drawn global condemnation, especially from Europe. A bunch of European leaders just came out in what appears to be, at least, a coordinated
Starting point is 00:00:25 campaign slamming Donald Trump, slamming the United States. And quite frankly, it is. is humiliating that we as Americans are in this position. It's humiliating that Donald Trump is running the scene and it isolates us from our allies, making us look weak on the world stage. And it's all Donald Trump's fault. So I'm going to give you the new updates surrounding Greenland Trump trying to take it. We'll talk about all of that and more and the European leaders. Before I do any of that, make sure to subscribe down below, drop a like on the video, comment. Let me know what you think about the story. Without further ado, let's get into it.
Starting point is 00:00:54 So Natasha Bertrand, who's a CNN reporter, said, quote, Stephen Miller, who fun fact, by the way, is the identical twin of Voldemort, or at least the human embodiment of Voldemort, I don't think many people know that, it's true, has told Jake Tapper that no one, quote, is going to fight the U.S. military over the future of Greenland, indicating there wouldn't need to be a U.S. military operation for the U.S. to take over the island,
Starting point is 00:01:18 which he reiterates should belong to the U.S. quote, no one is going to fight the U.S. militarily over the future of Greenland. That's a bold assumption that Europe wouldn't come to the defense of one of their own, that NATO wouldn't come to the defense of one of their own. I mean, that's the entire principle. And if a NATO country attacks a NATO country, it doesn't wipe out Article 5. They'll still defend them.
Starting point is 00:01:41 And I don't know if Donald Trump or Stephen Miller know that. I don't think they probably do. They're not the sharpest tools in the shed. But nonetheless, a very arrogant and kind of swinging our nuts around excuse, like, oh, we're the United States. We can just take over anybody and they'll listen, which, again, a bold assumption to think that this wouldn't get a lot worse. And the idea that there wouldn't need to be a U.S. military operation is insane.
Starting point is 00:02:04 And this just comes days after Katie Miller, his wife, posted this on Twitter, a picture of Greenland with an American flag draped all over it and saying, soon, in all caps, it's all she said. The post went viral, got 30 million views. It was condemned by world leaders as well. It even got a fact check saying that Greenland is a self-governing territory within the kingdom of Denmark, with its status recognized under international law, any claim by the U.S. another country has no historical or legal basis, which is of course true. And this is what Donald Trump himself the other day said about Greenland. We need Greenland for national security.
Starting point is 00:02:40 Not for minerals. We have so many sites for minerals and oil and everything. We have more oil than any other country in the world. We need Greenland for national security. And if you take a look at Greenland, you look up and down the coast. You have Russian and Chinese ships all over the We need Greenland for national security, says Donald Trump, which means that we're going to violate NATO. We're going to attack our NATO allies because apparently that's good for national security. Having no allies in Europe being laughed out of NATO, completely violating the treaty that we are a part of, that's for national security, not just striking a deal with Greenland to access the island, which, by the way, we have.
Starting point is 00:03:20 There's a deal with Greenland of which they're investing billions more dollars or allowing a billions more dollars to be invested, and we're working with them on a mineral resource deal and things of that nature. So what is he talking about? It's so delusional. But as I said, a bunch of leaders in Europe have already condemned Donald Trump. We'll start with the Prime Minister of Denmark, obviously because of the Kingdom of Denmark, controlling Greenland, or at least it being part of it, saying, quote, I must say this very clearly to the U.S.
Starting point is 00:03:44 It makes absolutely no sense to speak of any necessity for the U.S. to take over Greenland. The United States has no legal basis to annex one of the three countries of the United Kingdom of, or I should say, Kingdom of Denmark. The Kingdom of Denmark and thus Greenland is a member of NATO. Yes. And is therefore covered by the alliance's collective security agreement. That's the very nice and subtle way of saying, if you try to come after us, just understand that NATO's coming after you. That's politics talk right there. I love it. We already have a defense agreement between the Kingdom of Denmark and the United States that grants the U.S. brought access to Greenland. In addition, the kingdom has made
Starting point is 00:04:19 significant investments in security in the Arctic. I therefore strongly urge the U.S. to cease its threats against a historically close ally and against another country and another people who have stated very clearly they are not for sale, signed Prime Minister of Denmark. You'd hope that Donald Trump would listen to this. Stop with these threats. We are allies with Denmark. They have been great to us. We've had such a close relationship with Denmark and, of course, Greenland, which we do have
Starting point is 00:04:44 access to, and all our allies in Europe. What makes the United States strong is not just that we're the wealthiest country and that we have a big population and whatever our economy is strong and things like that, that makes the United States strong. What makes us even stronger are our allies. Think of any war ever. The United States can't do these things alone. We worked with the United Kingdom in World War II.
Starting point is 00:05:07 We worked with France in World War II. That made these things possible. We worked with the Soviet Union at the time in World War II. Having allies is good. And the fact that we're isolating them right now and pretending that they don't exist and that their words don't matter is sickening. I mean, I remember an era when Joe Biden was in office and these world leaders would call him up just to chat to get his advice on something because he's
Starting point is 00:05:29 knowledgeable, he's smart, and he had some insight on these really important issues. He knew about foreign policy, and they were close. And now we have Donald Trump. Oh, we're going to invade a NATO country. Here's Ulf Christensen, who is the, I should have, sorry, the Prime Minister of Sweden. I don't know why I blank there for a second. He said, quote, is only Denmark and Greenland have the right to decide on matters concerning Denmark and Greenland. Sweden fully stands up for our neighboring country, and you're going to see
Starting point is 00:05:55 a theme here among other leaders in Europe. This is the Prime Minister of Estonia, Kristen Michael. Greenland is an integral part of the Kingdom of Denmark. Decisions about Greenland belong to Greenland and Denmark alone. Estonia stands in full solidarity with our Nordic Baltic ally. And there's more. There's more. This gentleman who is the Prime Minister of Norway saying Greenland is an integral part of the Kingdom of Denmark. Norway stands in full solidarity with the Kingdom of Denmark. You can see a theme here. Essentially, what these leaders are saying is like, hey, Donald, we stand with Denmark. We stand with Greenland. They're saying all the same things. That it's an integral part of the Kingdom of Denmark. We fully stand with them in full solidarity.
Starting point is 00:06:36 There's no debate about that. Here's Alexander Stubb, an actual ally of Donald Trump in Europe, who is the president of Finland, saying no one decides for Greenland and Denmark, but Greenland and Denmark themselves. Our Nordic friend, Denmark, and the Prime Minister have our full support. support. Here's Donald Tusk, the leader of Poland, saying, and yes, Donald Tusk, it sounds very familiar to Donald Trump. No one will take seriously a weak and divided Europe, neither enemy nor ally. It is already clear now. We must finally believe in our own strength. We must continue to arm ourselves. We must stay united like never before, one for all and all for one. Otherwise, we are finished. So this is obviously alluding to Greenland and alluding to the United States
Starting point is 00:07:15 no longer being a reliable partner, which is incredibly depressing, incredibly depressing, that our European allies feel the need to move away from us. I mean, the partnership we have is remarkable. It is so beneficial for both parties involved. The United States, which is across the Atlantic, having an ally in the continent across the Atlantic as well for trade, for deals, for agreements, is so beneficial. And Donald Trump is throwing out decades of foreign policy progress like that by continuing on this ridiculous little pet project.
Starting point is 00:07:46 It is so annoying. Here's the German foreign minister saying, quote, Greenland is part of the kingdom of Denmark, and since Denmark is a member of NATO, Greenland will in principle also be subject to NATO defense. We've heard something similar to this from other leaders saying essentially, hey, Greenland is NATO. If you attack NATO, we attack you. It's the nice way of saying it, but that's what they're saying. I mean, the guy who went from no more war to the campaign to now threatening six different countries in the past 24 hours and saying we're going to essentially go to war with NATO, that's a pretty,
Starting point is 00:08:17 remarkable transition, isn't it? A remarkable flip-flop from one to another. And of course, here it is. I wanted to show you this, that Spain has condemned Donald Trump's invasion of Venezuela as well. So all of our different European allies are saying, hey, Donald, you're really ruining things for a lot of us. It's just crazy that we're in this operation and this position. And it's crazy that this is what the administration is focused on. People are suffering. They don't have health care. They can't eat. They don't have a roof over their heads. And Donald Trump is saying, well, you know, let's take Greenland. Let's go to war. So anyway, it's absolutely insane. I will continue to provide you the most recent updates on all of these things as I get them. But make sure to subscribe down below,
