Starting point is 00:00:00 So check this out. There was almost a medical emergency at Donald Trump's state fair today because it is literally, and I mean literally falling apart. While people were rehearsing on stage dancing for America's 250, the performance that's going to be happening later, a piece of the stage from the ceiling fell off and almost struck this group of dancers on the left over here, which could have been incredibly bad. I mean, very, very close to injury, possibly something worse. And it just goes to show you how much effort has been put into this America 250 event by Donald Trump and his buddies. I mean, they seem far more concerned in putting together exhibits that honor Donald Trump and talk positively about him than they were in putting together a good event that's actually safe for performers and people attending. So I want to show you this clip and other parts of the fair that are also falling apart right now as we speak and definitely pose a safety risk to people. So just watch this. It is truly stunning how nobody got injured here.
Starting point is 00:00:57 I mean, just watch on the left side. Look at that. I mean, look how close that was to hitting these dancers. I mean, the angle might be making it look closer than it was, but that looks pretty close to me. That looks pretty close to me. Fell from the ceiling, landing what I look, what it looks like to me, right behind these dancers. That is incredibly dangerous, incredibly reckless. I mean, that is insane.
Starting point is 00:01:42 And once again, goes to show you the effort that Donald Trump put in to this event. And clearly safety, just the safety of the performers on stage, was not a top of mind for Donald Trump and the people behind this event. They just couldn't care less. And it's not the only thing, as I mentioned. You know how the cock, the yellow foam from Donald Trump's makeshift arch that he wants to build, peeling out of the actual arch. Take a look. Like, seriously, how bad is the construction at this event?
Starting point is 00:02:17 oozing out of the cracks. Like, look, if Donald Trump can't even build a fake arch, why would we trust him at all to build a real one? I feel like that probably doesn't make a lot of sense. I mean, seriously, Donald Trump's arch is actually falling apart, not just with the yellow foam that's oozing out of it, but just the entire thing seems to be a safety hazard. It's really just not doing well. Trump's event held on the National Mall has already been subject to poor attendance,
Starting point is 00:02:45 which has even been called out by his own supporter. but now the mini version of Trump's arch has undergone a botched facelift after visitors complained about one of the event's main attraction looking plastic and christening it a Timu arch after the budget website, which it certainly looks like that. Visitors initially spotted the white vinyl wrinkling and separating from the arch's wooden frame. Now Corinthian style columns and additional molding were added to the exterior of the arch on Tuesday. So this is what it looked like at the beginning. Initially, then Donald Trump saw the,
Starting point is 00:03:17 negative media coverage and now apparently we have these, you know, these columns on the outside of the arch. New photographs taken by Reuters on Wednesday show serious cracks in the yellow molding adding to or added to the replica arch. Yellow material that looks like polyureane expanding foam, which is used to fill cracks, is oozing from the structure. And look, these are some really good photos of what you're seeing here. Just disgusting. Just gross. The expanding foam appears to have melted and dripped farther down the arch while one crack contains no foam at all. Photographs taken from underneath
Starting point is 00:03:50 show the extent of the cracks with the expanding foam struggling to fill the gaps. I mean, so this foam is meant to keep this stuff together, but you can see in some places, it's just not there at all. And there are already cracks in, like, lines forming in the top of the arch.
Starting point is 00:04:05 You can see a big, nice crack right there. There's this line right here going across it with what appears to be no foam inside of it. Just really, just seriously, some not great visuals. A video posted on X by the Democrats Matt Rain on Wednesday about the changes to the Timo Arch also shows the extent of the cracks. The Daily Beast contacted state fair organizers to ask about them in the Arch
Starting point is 00:04:28 and what material was being used to attempt to fill them. An unnamed spokesperson said, quote, it's just a replica, maybe try celebrating the 250th anniversary and stop writing nonsense articles. The event features everyone from deep blue, California, and New York to purple states like Colorado, Wisconsin, Arizona, Michigan, Virginia, to red ones, cover real news. They really don't like that people are talking about the Timu Arch and the event as a whole
Starting point is 00:04:52 sucking. And it's not just that. It's not just, you know, things falling from the ceilings, the arch falling apart, clearly being a safety hazard, but also some of Donald Trump's fans are experiencing some heat-related medical emergencies. For example, one of these women spoke to a local network in DC, Fox 5, saying none of the booths have air conditioning. I started seeing stars and I needed, um,
Starting point is 00:05:14 and I needed to have some medical attention here. Take a look. Has been affecting folks like Megan, Nicoletti, and her husband, Brian. And, you know, Megan, you were just over in the medical tent being treated. Tell us about how you're feeling. Now I'm fine, but previously, none of these booths have air conditioning. We don't know what happened. But I started seeing stars. Oh, really?
Starting point is 00:05:38 And we went to the tent. There's a religious tent because that's the theme for today. And they had a pool. they're baptizing people. Thank God they at the pool. They said, do you want to get in? Yes, I think I do. I think I want to be baptized.
Starting point is 00:05:52 I'm soaking wet. But I went to the medic tent. They took care of me. I still got one of these towels. They filled me with electrolytes. But good, lo. Nice folks in there for sure. Oh, they're wonderful.
Starting point is 00:06:03 They are. Absolutely. Trump's own fans are experiencing medical issues because of his terrible fare. And you're not just having these medical issues and the, you know, infrastructure problems. the construction problems, but there's just embarrassing scenes still coming out. Like, for example, today, Fox News broadcasted in front of the state fair, there's not a soul there. Not a single person in the background on the grass at the fair doing activities and stuff like that.
Starting point is 00:06:30 Take a look at this. So this just in from Peter McMahon, a big fan. He said the sports team, meaning our team, should check out the file that Messi committed in an earlier game. It was almost exactly the same and he didn't even get a yellow card. It was clumsy. It was accidental. That's what happened in the U.S. It wasn't about.
Starting point is 00:06:48 I just find it really funny. They're talking about the U.S. national team in the World Cup, and I find it funny how they're just completely ignoring the open grass behind them. I mean, they're broadcasting in front of the state fair every single day. The grass is open every single day. And they're still pretending like, you know, there's people there. Or maybe they've just moved on to not talking about it whatsoever. Maybe they've moved on from saying, oh, there's thousands of people here to just completely ignoring it outright,
Starting point is 00:07:13 which I think is also incredibly funny. And on that as well, Brooke Rawlins, a member of Donald Trump's administration, the Agriculture Secretary, spoke in front of an empty crowd, completely empty. There is nothing like being on a Zoom call, filling out a soccer form, been mowing the church contribution,
Starting point is 00:07:35 the tithe for the week, having the president call on my cell phone and being able to smile through it all. I mean, they're... Is there like 20 people there, not counting the media? Maybe 20 is generous. And look, these are all staffers. They are all staffers for the secretary.
Starting point is 00:07:54 So they're like filling the crowd with staffers, what appears to be staffers, at least, to make it look like the crowd is bigger when it is tiny. It's just... It's so ridiculous. And I want to conclude the video with a couple of things here, with this gentleman who says, I've been to state fairs all throughout. This is terrible. program length advertisement for Trump. I'm underwhelmed. Take a look at what he had to say.
Starting point is 00:08:17 What do you think of all of this? Not much. Not much and I've been to I've been to state fairs all throughout the United States. This is terrible. And how so? It's a program length advertisement for the president. It's interesting. It's very interesting. I've never seen anything like this before for sure in my 27 years of living in Virginia and living near the DC area. Does anything jump out at you? No, nothing. There's no cows. There's no sheep.
Starting point is 00:08:50 There's no goats. It's not a state fair without animals. There's a butter cow, I'm told. At least in the Iowa booth, maybe. It'll melt by tomorrow. I'm totally underwhelmed. It's part political. That arch over there is, I think, promoting one of Trump's vanity projects.
Starting point is 00:09:09 I compare this to the Smithsonian Folklife Festival that they do every year, which is wonderful, really, you know, talks about different cultures and countries. This is so bland, but I had to come down and see it. The multiple stages. See, I imagine that so many people you see in the background, you know, the maybe like 50% of the 20 people in the background, are all people who are like this gentleman or the man who just spoke before them,
Starting point is 00:09:36 who are just curious and, like, want to see what's going on, but they all hate it. I mean, the approval rating for the state fair is probably sitting at like a 10% here and the 10% are MAGA fans who made the trek down to DC to do it. But overall, just a disaster couple of days for the fair, but especially with this clip of the ceiling falling down and almost badly injuring one of the dancers. So I will leave the video there.
