Check it out. Donald Trump arrested this active Air Force major for protesting against him and his administration at the Capitol building yesterday.
Watch this.
You know, I think it's so ridiculous that this courageous and very respectable young man was protesting against Donald Trump, using his First Amendment right to do it, and he got arrested by the Capitol Police.
And what's even more so is that he's standing in front of the chains.
So it's not even like they can say, oh, he was too close to the Capitol building.
he was standing behind the chains.
There's clearly an area that you're not allowed to be.
He was standing in front of the chains, holding a sign, silently protesting, and he got taken
away by Capitol police.
Their claim is that you're not allowed to protest at the Capitol on the steps unless you're
accompanied by a member of Congress, which just seems like ridiculous to me.
So this, and here's more information on the protest and who this amazing young man is.
U.S. Air Force Major arrested a Capitol while demonstrating for Trump's impeachment.
U.S. Air Force Major Jason Watson was arrested Wednesday while demonstrating at the
Capitol in favor of the impeachment of Donald Trump.
Capitol Police said they arrested him for demonstrating on the Capitol steps, which is
against the law unless the demonstrator is with a member of Congress.
It is so backwards that in the United States, someone like Donald Trump, who is a convicted
felon and had indictments in other jurisdictions in the United States, is able to be president,
is sitting in the Oval Office with virtually no consequences for his crimes, where someone
like Jason Watson, who's a Air Force major currently serving, is far more patriotic.
than Donald Trump is, is being arrested for using his First Amendment rights.
Major Watson was initially accompanied by Representative Al Green, a Texas Democrat, after an impeachment
process, excuse me, impeachment press conference led by the removal coalition of a grassroots
organization.
When the congressman left the area, police officers told him to stop his demonstration or he would
be arrested.
They said, quote, the man refused our lawful orders and was then arrested for crowding,
obstructing, and incommitting.
It is important to note that there are plenty of other spots on capital grounds where
demonstrating is allowed.
Major Watson is risking his active duty military career to publicly call for Trump's impeachment.
Quote, for the past 18 months, we the people have allowed the highest levels of the executive branch of the federal government to violate our Constitution and their oath to it with impunity.
Major Watson said at the press conference accusing Trump of committing innumerable impeachable offenses.
The Air Force Major enlisted in 2005, while he still holds active duty status, he is currently on leave from his post as a logistics readiness officer in Poland.
Major Watson said the president should be impeached for violating the War Powers Act by ordering military strikes against Iran and Venezuela without an imminent threat to the United States or approval from Congress.
He also gave a speech. There's some quotes in this article from his speech, but he gave a speech before doing this demonstration, and I think you should hear what Major Watson had to say.
Hey, Jason Paul Watson, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
That I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same.
that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion,
and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I'm about to enter.
So help me God.
When the President of the United States orders military action against foreign countries,
absent an emergency scenario where American interests are under imminent dire threat,
as was done with Venezuela, Cuba, and Iran,
that's an unconstitutional usurpation of Congress's authority
and a violation of the War Powers Clause.
These violations resulted in the deaths of 13 service members
and injuries of hundreds more.
For this, the president and vice president
must be impeached, convicted, and removed.
When the president of the United States
grants an unelected mega donor sweeping authority
should shut down large swaths of our federal government
along with unrestricted access to our government databases,
that's an unconstitutional circumvention
of Congress's advise and consent authority.
under the Appointments Clause and Congress's Power of the Purs
under the Appropriations Clause. These violations exposed every American's
personal sensitive data to leaks and exploitation. Illegally terminated
tens of thousands of federal civil servants and crippled support to Americans
for medical care and disaster preparedness and by far most tragically
resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of the world's most impoverished
people with inhumanely abrupt cessation of USA. When the President of the United
directs the Department of Homeland Security to deny hundreds of people any due process before illegally detaining them
and sending them to a foreign prison notorious for human rights abuses.
That's a violation of our Fifth and Eighth Amendment rights.
Most people sent to Seacott never committed any violent crimes in their entire lives.
But are being defamed as violent criminals to this day as a pretext for the torture they suffered in El Salvador.
Paid for with U.S. taxpayer dollars.
When the President of the United States sponsors violence on the American people engaged in their constitutional right to peacefully assemble and protest.
That's a violation of our First Amendment rights.
Pastors praying for DHS agents violently attacked without provocation.
A legal observer losing an eye after being shot with a non-lethal by an ICE agent.
A woman attempting to follow chaotic and contradictory DHS agent's instructions fatally gunned down.
A subdued man that posed no threat fatally shot after having his unbrandish firearm removed
with statements by high-ranking cabinet members also violating our Second Amendment rights.
For this, the president and vice president must be impeached, convicted, and removed.
Great speech by Major Watson, and there's so much on the line for him.
I mean, he's really risking everything to protest against Donald Trump to call for his impeachment and removal,
which really is just requires the utmost respect for a man like him who's willing to put this out all
on the line. And by the way, everything he's saying is exactly right. We have experts across the board
calling what Trump has done in Venezuela is likely going to do in Cuba and is doing with Iran
illegal, violating the Constitution that they proclaim to love. They pretend to care about, but obviously
do not. So Trump had this guy arrested. The Capitol Police is having this guy arrested for using his
First Amendment right. Just be saying he's standing on the steps.
If he were not standing on the steps, it'd be okay.
He's standing on the steps in front of the chain where you're not allowed to go by,
but still, he has to be arrested because he's calling for Donald Trump's impeachment and removal.
Just a ridiculous thing.
But once again, shout out to Major Watson for doing this.
I'm a big fan.
So look, I will leave it there.
