Starting point is 00:00:00 Well, folks, there you have it. Donald Trump has fired DHS Secretary Christy Knoem. She is one of many people in the Trump regime who no longer deserve a job. And by many, I mean every single one of them. But Trump has announced in this statement that he put out this afternoon saying that she's out, she's fired, and he's already replaced her with someone else. And he is reassigning Christy Knoem to some low-level position somewhere in the government where she has virtually no impact. It's the nice way of firing her.
Starting point is 00:00:29 So I want to get into this story, kind of break down what led up to this and talk about this new nominee that Donald Trump is putting up. But before I do any of that, please make sure to subscribe down below. Drop a like on the video, comment. Let me know what you think about this story. If you're on Apple or Spotify, please make sure to rate the show five stars and follow along. Without further ado, let's get into it. Let's just read this quick statement from Donald Trump. He put it out at 141 p.m.
Starting point is 00:00:54 It is currently 154 at the time of me filming this on the East Coast. Trump said, I am pleased to announce that the highly respected United States senator from the great state of Oklahoma, Mark Wayne Mullen, will become the United States Secretary of Homeland Security, DHS in brackets for, I guess, people that he thinks doesn't know, effective March 31st, 2026. So Noam will serve in that position until then, I suppose. The current secretary, Christy Noem, who has served as well and who has had numerous and spectacular result, especially on the border, will be moving to be special envoy for the shield of the Americas, our new security initiative in the Western Hemisphere, we are announcing on Saturday in Doral, Florida.
Starting point is 00:01:32 I thank Christy Noem for her service at Homeland. And then he goes on to boost up Mark Wayne Mullen saying, you know, he served in the Senate for 10 years and the House of Representatives, or House of the Representatives for 10 years, three in the Senate, yada, yada, yada, we don't need to read any of that. We know it's a bunch of crap. But Christy Noem is out. And we got this report earlier today that details just a little bit of what led to this decision, how Donald Trump eventually fired Christy Nome.
Starting point is 00:01:57 Noem. The final straw for Trump was Noam's combative hearing Tuesday before the Senate Judiciary Committee, which showed bipartisan frustration with Noam's leadership. Noam's decision to allot $200 million for an ad campaign featuring herself, urging those living illegally in the United States to self-deport, had already bothered the president for months for its self-promotional style. At the hearing, Noam told senators that the president had signed off on the ad campaign, an assertion that upset Donald Trump, who told senators and advisors that he had not signed off on such a campaign. Trump does, however, frequently change his mind. This was before she was fired, especially when it comes to firing officials.
Starting point is 00:02:36 But now we know that Christy Knoam is out. And on that topic of this ad campaign that Christy Knoam was featured in, it's interesting that the thing that really sent Donald Trump over the edge that bothered him the most is an ad campaign featuring her and perhaps not him instead of, you know, ICE deporting American citizens, detaining American citizens, murdering Americans in broad daylight, that for Donald Trump was not the final straw. But the ad campaign and her saying that Donald Trump had signed off on it was apparently the straw that broke the camel's back.
Starting point is 00:03:10 And this is according to Reuters earlier today talking about this very story. Trump has told Reuters that he did not sign off on the ad campaign featuring Christy Nome. He said, quote, I never knew anything about it. Trump told Reuters in a phone interview. She faced scrutiny about the campaign while testifying before congressional panels on Tuesday and Wednesday. Lawmakers from both parties asked about the contract and the process to select the companies. The ads predominantly featured Noam, including a scene of her on a horseback at Mount Rushmore, which is just so crazy.
Starting point is 00:03:41 In one exchange over the contracts, Senator John Kennedy, a Republican, asked Noam if Trump had approved the commercials. She said the president approved ahead of time you spending $220 million running TV ads across the country in which you are featured prominently, Kennedy asked her. She said, yes, sir, we went through the legal process and did it correctly, except obviously not. And she actually got grilled about this in front of the house the other day, about this contract that was handed out by Representative Noghous. And I think you should see it because this was the career ending moment for Christy
Starting point is 00:04:14 Nome, her lying about these contracts and her basically dodging all accountability and handing out hundreds of millions of dollars to buddies of hers. So just watch. Two of them were chosen. That's inaccurate. Madam, Madam Secretary, I'll read from the notice from your agency. Given the immediate action to significantly reduce illegal immigration and border crossings, DHS invited, excuse me, identified four companies. Four of the hundreds of thousands of companies in the United States, you identified four. One of those is this Safe America Media Company. Where is Safe America Media headquartered? I don't know. I don't know either, Madam Secretary, we can't find it. We can't find a website. We did find an address that's registered
Starting point is 00:04:56 for this company. Do you know where that address is? Is there a problem with this contract? I'll tell you about it. Madam Secretary, the address is registered to a political operative. Madam Secretary, the company, and I'm not giving an opportunity to respond, the company is registered to a political operative in Virginia. Do you know, just by way of example, whether this company that received $143 million in taxpayer-dust. Has it ever done work for the government before? I don't know. I can't. The answer is it has not.
Starting point is 00:05:25 And do you know why we know that? Because it was incorporated eight days, eight days before this contract went out. You want the American people to believe that this is all above board? That $143 million of taxpayer money just happened to go to this one company that doesn't have a headquarters,
Starting point is 00:05:45 doesn't have a website, has never done work for the federal government before, and is registered, apparently, or attached to a residence from a political operative. And, of course, one of the subcontractors of that contract, as you know, is a political firm that's tied to you back when you were governor of South Dakota. The reason why I asked these questions is that this is taxpayer money. And I presume, I don't know this for a fact, but Senator Tillis noted yesterday the way in which your agency is blocking the Inspector General from 11 different investigations
Starting point is 00:06:18 that it is trying to conduct. I don't know if this happens to be one of them. I certainly hope it is because eventually the facts will become public in this regard. Damn. Career ending. That's a career ending moment right there. And it did. It absolutely ended her career.
Starting point is 00:06:35 She was grilled about this contract that she handed out to this random firm in Virginia that has ties back to her time as governor of South Dakota, handed $143 million, upward of $200 million, to this, firm, thought she was going to get away with it, gave a bunch of money to her buddies, did not do the typical government contract bidding process, and got called out for it, and then Donald Trump fired her because of these hearing moments. Just remarkable. Now, the final thing I want to show you guys and talk about is this Mark Wayne Mullen guy. You probably heard of Mark Wayne Mullen. He's a senator. He's nothing special. Not surprised if you haven't. But he's a Republican senator. He's been there for a while. And just the other day, he had this viral moment. where he was talking about the war against Iran that Donald Trump has launched. He called it a war, then said it wasn't a war. Then when he was asked about Donald Trump and Pete Hegeseth calling it a war, he just completely stumbled over his words and fumbled the ball in the one.
Starting point is 00:07:31 So just watch. You can see this is war. We haven't declared war on us. The person called war on Secretary Hexseth. We haven't declared. Just now you said this is war. They called it war. What I was saying, okay, well, that was it misspoke.
Starting point is 00:07:45 But I was saying that they've declared war on us. But war is ugly. It always has been ugly. But we're, you know, we're at a, we're taking out a regime that's been trying to attack us for quite some time. But you're nice. Okay. So that's, that's the new guy. Yeah, I don't have a lot of hope.
Starting point is 00:08:02 I don't have a lot of hope from Mark Wayne Mullen. He says it's a war, but it's not a war. Trump and Heggseth say it's a war, but they're wrong about it being a war. I don't know. I can't even follow his line of reasoning anymore. He was obviously very flustered there. But that's the new guy. Christy Noam is out.
Starting point is 00:08:16 Everybody. She is out. She is done, finito, which I am both happy about because, you know, she's out of there. But also, you know, I mean, who's next, right? You know, the next guy won't be much better. So it's not really something to celebrate long term. But we can have this moment of joy. We can take it.
Starting point is 00:08:31 Anyway, I will leave the video there. Thank you so much for watching. Make sure to subscribe down below. Drop a like on the video. Comment. Let me know what you think about her firing and the hiring of Mark Wayne Mullen. If you're on Apple or Spotify, please make sure to rate the show five stars and follow along. Starting point is 00:08:46 And we will talk soon.
