Starting point is 00:00:00 All right, folks, look, I got to be honest. I am stunned at what I just watched. Tucker Carlson, who was formally, at least, one of Donald Trump's biggest fans, biggest supporters, would just like go to the White House to hang out with him frequently, just did a complete 180. He dedicated 40 minutes of his show to calling out Donald Trump, destroying his administration, admonishing him and everybody around him for the Iran war. And let me be clear about something before we watch some of these clips. Tucker Carlson's criticisms in this show were not mild. They were not subtle. They were not indirect. He went directly at Donald Trump, going for the jugular, you might put it. He has criticized Trump in this show harsher and harder than he ever has before.
Starting point is 00:00:45 So I want to show you some of these clips and we'll talk about it because the MAGA Civil War is really reaching heights that we haven't seen before. People are turning on each other and tearing down the entire movement. So let's get right into it. And we'll start with this clip where, Tucker Carlson went off on Donald Trump for mocking Islam. And it is connected to this post that Donald Trump put out on Easter Sunday. And this is what Tucker Carlson takes particular issue with. Trump said, of course, you've seen it by now.
Starting point is 00:01:11 It went incredibly viral. Tuesday will be power plant day and bridge day. All wrapped up in one in Iran. There will be nothing like it. Open the effing straight, you crazy bastards. Or you'll be living in hell. Just watch. Praise be to Allah signed Donald J. Trump.
Starting point is 00:01:25 And Tucker Carlson took particular issue with that post. And I'll also add just before we watch this that, you know, a broken clock is right twice a day. And that could not be a more applicable than it is right now. Tucker Carlson is right about Donald Trump here, but he's also still a lunatic, a far right freak. And so, you know, him calling out Donald Trump doesn't suddenly make him good. I just want to add that in there. But without further ado, let's start with this first clip of him reacting to that post. Who do you think you are?
Starting point is 00:01:52 You're tweeting out the effort on Easter morning? You'll be living in hell. Just watch. Praise be to Allah. So obviously you're mocking the religion of Iran. Okay. If you seek a religious war, that's a good idea. But by the way, no decent person mocks other people's religions. You may have a problem with the theology. Presumably you do if it's not your religion. And you can explain what that is. But to mock other people's faith is to mock the idea of faith itself, and we should never mock that. Because at its core is the acknowledgement that we are not in charge of the universe. We did not build it. We won't be here at the end of it. We can destroy life.
Starting point is 00:02:43 We cannot create it because we are not God. The message of all faith at the biggest picture level is the message in our Bible, which is you are not God. And only if you think you are, do you talk this way? But it's not just mockery of Islam. And no president should mock Islam. That's not your job. This is not a theocracy. We don't go to war with other theocracies to find out which theocracy is more effective. We are not a theocracy. And God willing, we never will be because theocracies corrupt the religion.
Starting point is 00:03:18 No, this is a mockery not just of Islam. It's a mockery of Christianity. To send out a tweet with the F word on Easter morning promising the murder of civilians and then saying praise be to Allah, without explaining any of it, you are mocking me and every other Christian because we're Christians. We can't support that. That is evil. That is an intentional desecration of beauty and truth, which is the definition of evil.
Starting point is 00:03:43 I mean, like, wow. Who would have seen this coming? Who would have expected this from Tucker Carlson? The guy who went on Fox News and parroted Donald Trump's 2020 election lies. Anything that Donald Trump would say online, he would just repeat it on Fox News and it was without fail. It was cyclic with Tucker. Trump would put out a statement. Then later on that evening, he would repeat it.
Starting point is 00:04:06 online. And now a complete 180, saying that Trump has mocked not only Islam, but Christianity as a whole, and the United States as a whole, Christians that live in the United States. And what I find especially fascinating about this criticism from Tucker Carlson is that now it's personal for him. He believes that Donald Trump has insulted something that is fundamental to him, but Tucker Carlson never spoke up when Donald Trump insulted people's race or their identity, their sexual orientation, their gender, or even just insulting women, calling them pigs or horse face
Starting point is 00:04:41 or whatever the awful things Donald Trump has said over the years. And so he's right to criticize Donald Trump for this post, but it's also helpful to remember that Tucker Carlson and people like him are complete hypocrites. And they only get real about this stuff when it's coming directly at them,
Starting point is 00:04:56 when it becomes personal for them. They don't actually care that other people were mocked. They care that they feel personally offended. And so that's why I say, you know, broken clock is right twice a day. Tucker Carlson is right to call out Donald Trump for this. Anybody would be right to call out Donald Trump for this. But is he doing it because he actually cares about other people? Or is he doing it because he feels personally attacked? I will leave
Starting point is 00:05:17 you to decide that one in the comments down below. Here's the next clip I want to show you where Tucker Carlson is talking about Trump's threat toward Iran, his threat towards civilians saying, you know, the thrill is in the killing for Donald Trump. Watch. And the point, of course, is to get the Iranians to open the strait of Hormuz. Well, no sane person thinks that's going to work. At which point, you have to ask, why would we do it anyway? Well, there are a bunch of possible reasons, but the darkest of all is for the sake of doing it.
Starting point is 00:05:49 For the sake of killing, for the sake of exercising the most obvious form of power, which is extinguishing life. That's why we're doing it. The thrill is in the killing. The power is in the killing, the exertion of force, he's the point. You don't want to think that. But after a message like this,
Starting point is 00:06:07 what could possibly be the reason? There's nobody who thinks that if we do this and we pray we don't for our sake as well as the sake of non-combatant, innocent Iranians, nobody thinks this is going to work. You voted for him. You know, I'm baffled.
Starting point is 00:06:28 I mean, like, yeah, you're right. Nobody thinks this is going to work. No sane individual thinks that putting boots on the ground or taking Karg Island or trying to get Iran's uranium, whatever operation Donald Trump may or may not go with. No sane person thinks that's going to work, but you voted for it. Tucker Carlson was on every social media platform saying Trump's the guy. He interviewed Donald Trump and now he's baffled that Donald Trump is actually an idiot. And he makes decisions that hurt people. How could you possibly be baffled at them?
Starting point is 00:07:00 Donald Trump has a long history of being a complete idiot. And now you're suddenly shocked that his decision making is not great. And he's willing to put young American 18, 19, 20 year old men on the shores of Iran and put their lives in danger for whatever reason he decides. And he thinks it's going to be a good idea. But nobody thinks it's actually going to work. Like, what are you shocked about? Again, yes, you are right to criticize Donald Trump for this. But where was the self-awareness when you were in the voting?
Starting point is 00:07:30 booth. I mean, it's just, it's baffling. And the final clip I want to show you, we're just going to watch a little bit of this. Tucker Carlson saying that Donald Trump betrayed Christians, rejected the Bible, and he pointed out that Trump did not put his hand on the Bible when taking an oath for office. Watch. Some did, but certainly the leaders of the American Christian churches, by and large, said absolutely nothing. And maybe because they said nothing, this accelerated. These are the same people sort of didn't notice somehow that on inauguration day, the president did not take his oath of office with his hand on the Bible. His wife stood next to him holding it. I was about 15 feet away and saw it, but he did not put his hand on the Bible. And that should have been maybe a clue that we need to pause and think about what is this.
Starting point is 00:08:23 Why wouldn't you put your hand on the Bible? If you don't believe in the Bible, you think it's just a book, There's no cost to you to putting your hand on it, just kind of following the protocol, going along with the tradition, all presidents do it. Why aren't you doing it? And you're not doing it intentionally. You're choosing not to put your hand on the Bible when you take that oath. That suggests not that you don't believe it's real, because if you didn't believe it was real, why would you care?
Starting point is 00:08:51 You put on the costume and take it off. It doesn't matter. That suggests you know it is real and you're rejecting it intentionally. You know what you're doing, and you're doing it anyway. But nobody asked questions about that either. It seemed kind of inappropriate, given the celebration that in progress, to ask, why wouldn't you put your hand on the Bible and you take the oath of office to lead our nation? But pretty much nobody did.
Starting point is 00:09:17 I didn't. I'll admit that. I saw it and didn't say one word. Bothered me ever since. But right around January 4th, it became clear that maybe. Maybe he didn't put his hand on the Bible because he affirmatively rejects what's inside that book and what's inside that book are limits on human behavior. Because if there's one theme that spans all 66 books in the Christian Bible, it's that you are not God. And you cannot assume his powers.
Starting point is 00:09:49 Because you don't have them. You may convince yourself if you have them. You may want them. You may have been promised them. But in the end, they're not yours. And you'll never have them. and you can only destroy yourself and the people around you by pretending that you do. That is the consistent message that spans from Genesis to Revelation.
Starting point is 00:10:08 And people who ignore that law are punished, just like people who ignore gravity or freezing temperatures are punished. Because these are laws that were not created by people. They supersede people. But on January 4th, when the President of the United States told us he was stealing that our country was stealing something that didn't belong to us, people should have piped up and said something. But they didn't. And that got us all the way to yesterday, which was Easter Sunday. Easter Sunday.
Starting point is 00:10:38 Tucker Carlson effectively calling Donald Trump a want to be God in that segment of his monologue. And again, this is something we've known, that Donald Trump believes that he is above everybody. He can do no wrong, do no harm and break any law he wants because who's going to stop him? Because, right, he's always had his supporters. He's always had the people in his administration. He's always found a way out of accountability. And so, you know, Donald Trump has always been a wannabe God. He's always thought he's holier than now.
Starting point is 00:11:07 And he's even talked about having divine right that God put him here. It was God that made him president. It was God that saved him from atrocities and pain and everything. I mean, this is obvious. And now maybe the Republicans, the MAGA people are waking up to this reality that Trump does think he is much better than them and that he has this divine right inferred to him by God. But maybe they won't.
Starting point is 00:11:30 Maybe they, maybe Tucker Carlson tomorrow will be singing a different tune. I don't know. But really forceful criticisms from Tucker, let me know in the comments what you think. Please make sure to subscribe down below as well, drop a like on the video, comment. You know, as I mentioned, let me know what you think or any specific thing that came to mind while you were watching this. Have an amazing rest of your day, and we will talk soon.
