All right, so check this out. Donald Trump's day just somehow got even worse. I mean, it has already
been disastrous. Somebody resigned from his administration over his Iran war. Pam Bondi has been
subpoenaed to testify about the Epstein files. The Save Act, which is disastrous, is not going
anywhere in Congress. And now the Supreme Court Chief Justice, John Roberts, has come out publicly
in a rare condemnation and smacked down Donald Trump's attacks of the Supreme Court.
This is very, very rare.
Anybody on the Supreme Court attacking the president of the United States, let alone a member of their own party, their own political affiliation.
And yet it's happened many times in the Trump era.
And it's once more happened now with Chief Justice John Robert.
So I want to show you what he said about Donald Trump.
But also, let's just take a brief look down memory lane.
Donald Trump on social media the other day put two very long posts on social media about how the court is so mean to Republicans and they're so bad.
at their jobs. But when the tariff decision came out earlier this year, Trump went on a tirade. I mean,
he had this press conference where he admonished the Supreme Court justices he appointed
that did not rule with him on tariffs. He said it was an embarrassment to them and their families.
So it's nuts. Take a look.
At the same place. Yeah, please.
Justice is fortunate and and Barrett. Are you surprised in particular by their decision today?
I know. Do you regret nominating them?
I don't want to say whether or not a regret. I think their decision.
was terrible.
I think it's an embarrassment to their families.
You want to know the truth, the two of them.
Yeah.
Wow.
So Neil Gorsuch and Amy Coney-Barritt actually following the law, actually doing the right
thing, is an embarrassment to their families, according to Donald Trump.
And you can also see the Chiron there that says Trump absolutely ashamed of justices who struck
down tariffs saying they are also a discreet.
Grace to our nation, because again, the Supreme Court justices for once followed the law and
did the right thing.
But of course, Trump has been going off on them very recently.
And this is what inspired John Roberts to come out and condemn Donald Trump.
The other day on social media, late at night, I believe it was.
I mean, you can see how long this is.
10.45 p.m. at night, Donald Trump is ranting about the Supreme Court.
He said, the decision that mattered most to me was tariffs.
The court knew where I stood, how badly I wanted this victory for our country.
and instead decided to potentially give away trillions of dollars to countries and companies
who've been taking advantage of the United States for decades.
Look at how he's talking about the court, saying they knew where I stood, they knew I wanted
this victory, and they ruled against me.
I mean, he doesn't have to say it anymore.
We know where Donald Trump stands, but he is directly saying, I expect the Supreme Court
to side with me no matter what.
If they know I want something and I want a decision to go a certain way, then I expect
them to do that. And when they don't, he calls them disgraces and traitors to the United States.
But he's making it abundantly clear that this separation between the judiciary, the legislative,
and the executive does not exist in his mind. Our Supreme Court has made these countries very happy,
but as the court pointed out, I have the absolute right to charge tariffs in another form
and have already started to do so. That is, of course, not the case. I want to thank Justice Alito,
Thomas and Kavanaugh for their wisdom and courage pertaining to the tariff case and for understanding
in addition to the law that our unfriendly competitors should not be reimbursed and rewarded
for the decades of damage that have caused the United States of America. I will fight hard to make sure
that this does not happen. The Democrats on the court always stick together, no matter how strong a
case is put before them, there is rarely even a minor waiver. But Republicans do not do this. They
openly disrespect the presidents who nominate them to the highest position in the land, a justice
of the United States Supreme Court, and go out other way with bad and wrongful rulings and intentions
to prove how honest, independent, and legitimate they are.
You know, it's so crazy because the court is a Republican court,
and he's complaining about them when they side with Donald Trump so frequently.
I mean, they get it wrong all the time.
Think about Roe v. Wade, for example,
and how disastrous that decision was.
And the justices that Donald Trump appointed to the court were the deciding factor.
If there were Democrats on the court that were appointed by a possible president Hillary Clinton,
if she won, this would not be the case.
we wouldn't be in this position.
And yet he still says it's not good enough for him.
He just is such a lunatic.
And he actually continued in another post saying the court treats Republicans and me so unfairly,
always seeming to protect those who should not be protected.
They are highly politicized.
Cases don't matter.
The judges do as an example.
And then he attacked Jerome Powell and Judge Boasberg, a judge in that case.
But aside from all that, that's been Donald Trump's recent attacks.
And so now he is getting condemned publicly by the Supreme Court.
Chief Justice John Roberts. He lashed out at the hostility being directed toward judges,
describing it as dangerous and demanding the attacks to end. In a forum on Tuesday,
the conservative judge took what appeared to be a veiled swipe at Donald Trump, who is, of course,
regularly expressed his disdain for judges who ruled against him. I mean, we just saw many
examples of that, whether it be after the tariff decision or on social media. Judges around the
country, he said, work very hard to get it right. And if they don't, their opinions are
subject to criticism, but personally directed hostility is dangerous and it's got to stop.
Yeah, I mean, you know, again, it's just so baffling to me that this court does what Donald
Trump wants them to do. The overwhelming majority of the time, and when it's not 100%, he just
lashes out at them. And I actually do think that what Justice Roberts is saying here is mostly
true, that judges around the country do work very hard. There are some really great judges out there
who just look at the law, or they look at the practical.
of what's being discussed in front of them. And, you know, personally directed hostility at these
judges is dangerous. I mean, we've seen Donald Trump target judges who didn't side with him on
2020 election cases or didn't side with him on that or this or whatever. And they've gotten
death threats. They've been swatted. I mean, think of the judges on his criminal cases. He
targeted them very publicly and they had many, many death threats. They had their lives practically
ruined because of Donald Trump. And so, you know, Chief Justice John Roberts is right here.
He was appointed by George Bush, of course, and his comments come a month after Trump raged
against the court over its decision to slap down his tariff policy.
And he said, I'm ashamed of certain members of the court, absolutely ashamed for not having the
courage.
Roberts was one of three conservative judges alongside Amy Coney Barrett and Neil Gorsuch,
who ruled against Donald Trump's tariffs.
But it was not the only time the president or his MAGA allies have gone after judges
for rulings that don't go in their favor.
For example, last week, U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, Janine Piro, another
Fox News host, by the way, who works in our government, lashed out at a judge over her office failed investigation into Jerome Powell.
District court chief judge James Bodesberg had ruled that Piro showed signs that she was motivated to launch the investigation due to Trump's desire to fire the Fed chair to cut interest rates quickly.
Piero in turn called the ruling outrageous and the antithesis of American justice.
And last year, Trump went so far as to suggest Boseberg should be impeached after he blocked one of his immigration policies.
I'm just doing what the voters wanted me to do.
This judge, like many of the crooked judges I'm forced to appear before, should be impeached.
And of course, he's called for judges to face treason charges and, you know, impeachment, as you just saw,
and many, many more things.
I mean, this guy loses it when judges rule against him.
And I'm glad that Chief Justice John Roberts, in his short comments, condemned Donald Trump publicly.
I wish he would say more, and I wish he would say more often, because I think they all know how crazy Donald Trump is,
or at least I'd like to believe that someone like John Roberts knows how crazy Donald Trump is,
and yet they still do his bidding somehow.
Anyway, I will leave the video there.
