Starting point is 00:00:00 All right, folks, so I just watched Donald Trump's insane press conference. He just had at the White House on the war in Iran. And without a doubt, this was his most crazy one yet. And that's saying something. There have been a lot of crazy press conferences during this war. This one takes the cake. In the middle of it, he said he was going to run for president of Venezuela. He also said that God supports what he's doing in Iran while simultaneously threatening to arrest a journalist for reporting on what's going on in Iran.
Starting point is 00:00:26 I mean, this was crazy. So I'm going to show you some clips. We'll talk about it a little bit. And let's just dive in here with the first one. Starting point is 00:00:41 Let's get into it. So Donald Trump was asked about his war crime allegations, his war crime threats. He said, you know, a reporter asked him. He said Iranians would be mad if he stopped these attacks. But why would you want them to blow up their infrastructure to cut off their power? Wouldn't that be punishing Iranians for the actions of the regime? And Donald Trump just said, well, I think they're willing to suffer. Great.
Starting point is 00:01:03 Very compassionate guy leading the United States. Watch. Success of this operation. Yes, please. Thank you, Mr. President. You've said Iranians would be mad if you stopped these attacks. But why would they want you to blow up their infrastructure to cut off their power? Wouldn't that be punishing Iranians for the actions of the regime?
Starting point is 00:01:20 They would be willing to, and it's suffering. They would be willing to suffer that in order to have freedom. the Iranians have, and we've had numerous intercepts. Please keep bombing. Bombs that are dropping near their homes, please keep bombing. Do it. And these are people that are living where the bombs are exploding. And when we leave and we're not hitting those areas, they're saying,
Starting point is 00:01:46 please come back, come back, come back. These are the people. This has to be one of Donald Trump's most egregious lies yet. He's saying that he's getting messed up. from the Iranian people that they're happy, their houses are being bombed and that, you know, him bombing their desalination plans, their energy plans, their critical roads and highways is something they're just going to have to suck up. They have to be willing to suffer.
Starting point is 00:02:12 This guy is a lunatic. He is a narcissistic sociopath, psychopath, who has no care for anybody else. It's just what Donald Trump wants, even if that means bombing civilians in Iran, admitting to a war crime on camera. He just doesn't care about anybody else. This is insane. Utterly insane that this guy is just like, yeah, you're just going to have to suffer. He's not the one that's going to have to suffer. You know, Baron and all of his children are sitting in these luxury buildings in New York or Florida or wherever in the hell of the world they are. And he's saying for the Iranian children and their families, you're just going to have to suffer.
Starting point is 00:02:45 You're just going to have to suck it up. It's so, it's so crazy. Here's the next clip where Donald Trump seemingly leaked classified information in front of the entire country. A reporter asked him, or Donald Trump asked the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, how many men did you send all together for this operation in Iran? Cain said, I'd love to keep that a secret. And Donald Trump then decides to blurt out a number generally. Just watch. So yeah, there were people within the military that said it's a wise. And don't forget, how many men did you send all together approximately for the operation? I'd love to keep that a secret. Okay, well, we are. But I will tell you, the number.
Starting point is 00:03:24 I'll keep it a secret, but it was hundreds. And hundreds of these people, that's pretty good. Is he central casting? But hundreds of people went into this journey. Hundreds of people could have been killed. Forget about the equipment, a lot of equipment, nobody cares to them. Hundreds of people could have been killed. So we had people that were within the military that said this is not a wise,
Starting point is 00:03:48 and I understood that, but I decided to do it. I just cannot. I cannot believe that this is our situation in the United States. I mean, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is standing right there saying, yeah, actually, I don't think we should release the amount of number of people that we've sent for certain operations in Iran. I just think that would be a stupid thing to do. And Donald Trump just turns around and says, hundreds. Oh, it was hundreds.
Starting point is 00:04:12 It was hundreds. And so Iran knows this. China knows this. Russia knows this. This piece of information that should have probably stayed secret. And Donald Trump is out here just leaking it for the entire world to see. Now, to be clear, we know that Donald Trump. gets a little, you know, handsy with classified information.
Starting point is 00:04:29 Maybe that's not the right word. But he likes to, you know, talk about it and release it and, you know, steal it from the United States. But that was just crazy, an insane moment. Then he was asked about war crimes. Again, deliberate attacks on civilian infrastructure violate the Geneva Convention and international law. Donald Trump, instead of engaging with the question, said, who are you with?
Starting point is 00:04:48 And then he chastised them for being in the New York Times. You just have to see this exchange. It is so crazy. I'd have them stand with it. Thank you, Mr. President, for the question. Deliberate attacks on civilian infrastructure violate the Geneva Conventions and international law. Who you with? I'm with the New York Times, Zolin from the New York Times.
Starting point is 00:05:09 Are you concerned? Are you concerned? Are you concerned? Is this circulation way down at the New York Times? Are you concerned that your threat to bomb power plants and bridges amount to crimes? No, no, no. I hope I don't have to do it. But, again, I just said, 47 years they've been negotiating with these people.
Starting point is 00:05:26 for their great negotiators, and because they're not going to have a nuclear weapon. And if somebody that takes my place someday is weak and ineffective, which possibly that will happen, because we had numerous presidents that were weak, ineffective, and afraid of Iran, we're never going to let Iran have a nuclear weapon. And if you think it's okay for people that are sick of mind, that are tough, smart, and sick,
Starting point is 00:05:55 really sick ideal from a policy standpoint from a standpoint any which way you want to say mentally these are disturbed people if you think I'm going to allow them and powerful and rich to have a nuclear weapon
Starting point is 00:06:12 you can tell your friends at the New York Times not going to happen it means violating quite quite quite you no longer have credibility at the New York Times because the New York Times said oh Trump won't win the election and I won in a landslide. I won every swing state. New York Times said,
Starting point is 00:06:31 oh, Trump won't win the election. New York Times has no credibility. The credibility they have is it used to be all the news that's fit to print, a great, the old gray lady, it was great, but they're running on past fumes and you can't keep doing that. You have to be able to give the correct news and people like you, who I know, are fake. You're fake. Go ahead, please. Oh my God. he's asked about war crimes, then he starts talking about Iran having a nuclear weapon, and then just straight up calls the New York Times fake. I mean, what was fake about the question? That it is objectively true that what Donald Trump is suggesting here with bombing civilian infrastructure is a war crime.
Starting point is 00:07:11 It violates many, many, many, many different laws, both here in the United States and around the world. And he just decides to go in his tirade. And of course, he brings it back to himself, you know, I won the election. New York Times got it wrong, yada, yada, yada, just utter insanity that. that, you know, the president of the United States can't even engage with questions anymore. He'll just, it's like, it's almost like there's no point in asking Donald Trump a question because he's going to answer the question he wants to answer as opposed to the question that was asked. So it was about war crimes and Donald Trump talked about nuclear weapons and the New York Times
Starting point is 00:07:41 being a quote unquote failing newspaper. It's just, it's pathetic. So, you know, I wonder if there's even a point in asking this guy questions anymore. Here's another one where Donald Trump was asked, you know, your messaging on the war has moved from the war's coming to an end to, I'm going to bomb Iran to the Stone Ages. So which one is it? Are you winding this down? And Donald Trump maybe perhaps said something honest, which was, I can't tell you,
Starting point is 00:08:03 I don't know. And he said it. Watch. Your messaging on the war has moved from, the war is coming to an end to war going to be bombing Iran to the Stone Ages. And we've heard a range of those sort of messages. So are you, so which is it? Are you winding this down?
Starting point is 00:08:19 Are you escalating? I can't tell you. I don't know. I can't tell you. It depends what they do. This is a critical period. They have a period of, well, till tomorrow at 8 o'clock, I gave them an extension. They asked for an extension of seven days, right?
Starting point is 00:08:33 I said, Steve, give them 10 days. Ten days is up actually today, so I gave them 11, I guess, indirectly. I thought it was inappropriate the day after Easter. I want to be a nice person. They have till tomorrow. Now, we'll see what happens. I can tell you they're negotiating. We think in good faith.
Starting point is 00:08:56 We're going to find out. We're getting the help of some incredible countries that want this to be ended because it affects them also. A lot of people are affected by this. But we're giving them to tomorrow, 8 o'clock Eastern Time. And after that, they're going to have no bridges. They're going to have no power plants. Stone ages, yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:21 Stone ages. You know, he's like, I don't know, I can't tell you, I don't know, it depends on what they do. Then why say it? In this press conference, he said he won, we've won this war, it's over, and then he also then turns around and says, we're going to bomb them into the Stone Ages. So his messaging has been one day something different than the next. So why say it? I mean, why are you out there giving contradictory answers, conflicting pieces of information to
Starting point is 00:09:48 the American people? This guy cannot make up his mind. and I think it's abundantly clear for most people by now that throughout this war there's never been a plan. There's never been a plan. It wasn't like Donald Trump went into this with, you know, I'm going to do this, this, this, we're going to do these objectives once they're complete, we're out. Or it's not even like these objectives have evolved as the war has continued. Donald Trump doesn't know what the objectives are. He doesn't know why we're at this war. He doesn't know what's going on in this war. And he just says whatever he feels on a daily basis, whether it's, you know, I want to bomb Iran to the Stone Ages because I'm feeling angry today. or, you know, I'm going to wrap up this war soon because I'm feeling nice.
Starting point is 00:10:24 As he said, I want to be a nice person in that answer. And the final clip, which perhaps might be the craziest of them all specifically on its contents, was him saying he is going to run for president of Venezuela. Watch. And we, just so you understand, the people of Venezuela, they say if I ran for president of Venezuela, I'm polling higher than anybody has ever polled in Venezuela. So after I'm finished with this, I can go to Venezuela. I will quickly learn Spanish.
Starting point is 00:10:50 take too long. I'm good at language. And I will go to Venezuela. I'm going to run for president. But we're very happy with the president-elect that we have right now. The people that are running it, if you remember Bush. Okay, good. You know what? Honestly, if Donald Trump wants to leave the White House right now and go run for president of Venezuela, do it. Great, great, great, get out. No problem with me. I will pay for his plane ticket, matter of fact. So if you want to, Donald, if you want to resign and go to Venezuela, reach out to me. I'll pay for your plane ticket and you can get on out of here. So look, I will leave the video there.
