Harry Sisson breaks down Trump's disastrous plan to send ICE to our airports as chaos continues to erupt.

So we're all seeing the chaos that is taking place in our airports across the United States right now. The lines are outrageous. Some people are waiting an hour, two hours, three hours just to get through security because of this government shutdown where TSA is not getting paid. A lot of people are calling out sick. And this story is broadly not getting enough attention for how insane it is. But Donald Trump's solution to this problem is sending ICE agents to the airports to help TSA do their jobs. Now, there are a million different reasons for why this is a stupid and terrible idea, but the Trump administration is currently doubling down while simultaneously contradicting themselves about this plan.

So we're going to talk about this story, go through everything, the recent updates, but if you're flying, you might want to watch all the way through because it looks like TSA might be replaced by ice in the coming days. So this is a video from LaGuardia Airport recently, and I've been to LaGuardia Airport. I'd say it's pretty fast. If you have a different experience, let me know.

But this is outrageous. I mean, this is maybe a two-hour line at this point, especially when you're factoring in the amount of TSA agents who are not at work. And all these people want to get on their planes, and many of them are going to miss their flights. If you're there like an hour or two hour in advance, which would normally be enough, it's now not. And so all these people are missing their flights. And as I mentioned, it comes down to this government shutdown, this partial government shutdown, where the Department of Homeland Security, things like TSA, ICE, and FEMA, and other agencies as well,

have not gotten funding. Here's the thing, though. Democrats are trying to negotiate reforms to immigration while also simultaneously saying, hey, let's fund TSA. They've introduced seven different bills to fund TSA to end this madness. Every single one has been blocked by Republicans. So this could be ended tomorrow. But Mike Johnson and the Republicans are too busy blocking these bills and they're on vacation.

They're at home, relaxing, watching March madness. They're enjoying themselves. They're all doing that when this is an issue that Americans are facing every single day and they're rejecting actively solutions to this problem. This is from Representative Mike Levin. He says, we have tried nine times to pass a clean bill to pay TSA workers. Nine times Republicans have blocked it. The airport chaos you're seeing this spring break is a choice and Republicans are making it. And I think this really goes to show you, and it strikes at the heart of the issue of the Trump administration, which is the United States just doesn't function when Donald Trump is in office.

The basic things that you should be able to rely on as an American citizen, a taxpaying, an American citizen is that you should be able to go to the airport and not have to wait three hours every single day for security. The basics under Trump can't even operate properly. And yet, Donald Trump's solution here is ICE, because that's gone really well, right? Every place that ICE has gone in the United States has just been perfect. There have been no issues, right? And so I can only imagine what's going to happen now. But Donald Trump on social media earlier today said the radical left Democrats have hurt so many people with their vicious and uncaring ways.

What they have done to the Department of Homeland Security are fantastic TSA offers. And most importantly, the great people of our country is an absolute disgrace. I think it's a disgrace that Republicans are refusing to fund TSA right now. If the Democrats do not allow for just and proper security at our airports and elsewhere throughout the country, ICE will do the job far better than ever before. The fascist Democrats will never protect America, but the Republicans will. Just like the radical left allowed millions of undocumented immigrants, criminals, yada, to pour into the country.

The Republicans closed it down. Likewise, I look forward to moving ICE in on Monday, as in tomorrow, and have already told them to get ready, no more waiting, no more games. And then he posted this photo of himself saying no games and then his fists on the table. So Trump is here saying that ice is going to be at our airports starting tomorrow, which is, just to be clear, the 23rd of March, which, as I said at the beginning, I think there are a million reasons why this is a stupid idea. I also think there are a million reasons as to why this will probably slow a lot of things down. I mean, you get to the airport and then you have a bunch of ICE agents interrogating you as an American citizen while you're trying to catch your flight.

And matter of fact, on that very point, Tom Homan, Donald Trump's border czar, who has apparently also been put in charge of this ICE at airports thing, said on Fox News today that ICE can check identification before entering the screening area. So are we now going to have to hand our IDs to somebody the minute we walk into an airport so they can verify it? I mean, this is insane. Before you even check your bag or attempt to go through security, this is what Tom Homan is saying is going to happen. He adds more in this clip. Just watch. We're showing live pictures there as you were speaking in Atlanta at Hartsville Jackson Airport there because it's just one of the many spots with these bottlenecks.

You mentioned sending an ICE. The president a short time ago on Truth Social said on Monday. So tomorrow, ICE will be going to airports to help our wonderful TSA agents who've stayed on the job. He goes on and he ends it. He says they're going to do a fantastic job. And he says, the great Tom Homan is in charge, triple exclamation point. He's clearly been a fan of yours for a long time, but certainly in recent weeks. Can you tell us anything about how this would work with ice showing up at the airports?

Well, we're finalizing plans today, but, you know, there's a lot of things that TSA does. It doesn't require like specialized training, right? Like you have exit lanes where people leave the airport. Now people try to enter those XA lanes. That's the security breach. Well, an ICE agent can maintain those exits, and that allows a TSA officer to go back to screening to move people through quicker. You know, ICE can check identification before people enter the screen. area, right? And that, we're trying to release TSA resources to get to positions that they

really need expertise, like the, like the X-ray screening. So it's just, we're going to be a force multiplier. Now, I made it clear that, you know, I did an earlier interview they said, well, ICE isn't trained in X-rays and look at X-rays see if there's, you know, there's something dangerous than that luggage. No kidding, and we're not going to be doing that. We're going to relieve TSA and augment TSA where we are trained in security and be able to do that. And that, and hopefully move the lines quicker, but the president's made it clear. He's not going to let America be held hostage anymore. We're going to try to move those lines quicker, give TSA support.

There are brothers and sisters who are in the DHS. And we simply need to get these officers paid. Yeah, we do. That's why Democrats are trying to pay them. Nine different times, seven bills, nine attempts to get that bill through. Or these individual bills, just to fund TSA. Republicans have blocked it every single time. And they're contradicting themselves.

Trump administration officials are saying, different things. So Tom Homan is saying these ICE agents will not help with things like screenings. You know, you put your cart through the screener. It makes sure there's nothing there. Ice agents won't do that. Except other members of the Trump administration is saying that's exactly what's going to take place. Sean Duffy, Transportation Secretary today said on TV the opposite of what Tom Homan is saying. Watch. Look at the side by side here. It's remarkable. We're simply there to help TSA do their job in areas that don't need their specialized expertise, such as you know, as screening through the x-ray machine.

Not training that, we won't do that. Do they have any, you know, practical, you know, experience in Manning airport security lines? They run those same type of security machines at the southern border, right? Packages come through or people come through. They run similar assets. So which one is it, guys? Which one is it? Is ICE not doing the things that TSA is specifically trained for?

or are they going to do those things? They don't even know. They don't even know. And this is supposed to take place tomorrow. The plans are not even set. Donald Trump is just saying, yeah, I'm going to send a bunch of ice agents into airports across the country. They're going to be there.

They can check your ID. They're going to be doing screenings and things like that. Things are obviously not qualified to do, not trained to do. And they don't even know what the plan is. They don't even have a framework as to what ice will be doing versus what ice will not be doing. It is total madness right now. And I like this comment from Senator Richard Blumenthal, which kind of shapes it and summarizes

it well. Ice agents at airports will only aggravate delays and lines, disrupting checks, interrogating travelers, dragging parents from children, detaining citizens, brutalizing families, shooting, and even killing. I mean, we've seen ICE agents do this on the streets of the United States. Alex Pretti, Renee Nicole Good, others. So why does anybody think that ICE interacting with travelers all over the country is going to go any better. It certainly will not. Lisa Murkowski, a Republican senator, is even calling this

out, saying we need to get our TSA folks paid, and it's not just TSA. It's Coast Guard. It's FEMA. It's Siza. And so it matters. We resolve this. I'm looking at the idea of kind of air dropping or temporarily reassigning ICE agents to the airport is not, not a fix that is going to encourage us here to resolve this impasse. And I think this final tweet I want to show you from Aaron Rupar's is right about the story. It hasn't gotten enough attention that Trump, home and Duffy have all confirmed there's a plan in the works to have ice agents at airports tomorrow. Words fail to describe how stupid this is. Let's hope more people aren't disappeared or killed.

And that's all we can really do now is we watch this madness taking place all across our airports across the United States because of Republicans. Just to reiterate and be abundantly clear, Democrats want to fund TSA and negotiate reforms on immigration. We want to get the funding for TSA right now and things like FEMA right now. now while negotiations take place on other things on the side. You can do both, but Republicans want all or nothing. Either we give money to ICE to continue to fund what they're doing and all the other agencies that come with it, or nobody gets any funding at all and nobody gets

paid at all. It is insane. That's not how politics works. There's negotiations, there's discussions, there's compromise. Republicans are not willing to do that whatsoever. So I just wanted to talk about this madness that is taking place, and ICE apparently going to our airports to tomorrow, but I will leave the video there. Thank you so much for watching.
