Starting point is 00:00:00 All right, folks, this is urgent and something you are going to want to see. The Atlantic has obtained a bunch of emails that Galane Maxwell has sent from prison to members of her family, members of her legal team, and more. And they are telling, they kind of expose this cover-up that the Trump regime has engaged in in regards to Maxwell, giving her preferential treatment at this low-level security camp, giving her a dog, allowing her to do yoga and job training and things like, like that when she shouldn't have access to any of these things just to keep her mouth shut. And these emails kind of expose that. And it was talked about on CNN last night.
Starting point is 00:00:39 So I want to show you this report from Caitlin Collins who spoke to the man who obtained these emails. But before we do any of that, make sure to subscribe down below, drop a like on the video, comment. Let me know what you think about this story. And let's just start here with some breaking news from NBC. They write that the whistleblower who provided House Democrats with Gilane Maxwell documents is now speaking out two former federal employees at the federal prison camp, Brian, where Galane Maxwell is now, said they contacted Judiciary Committee staffers to voice their concerns about perceived misconduct and retaliation. They are the ones who really sounded the alarm on this preferential treatment that
Starting point is 00:01:19 Yelaine Maxwell is getting and also sounding the alarm on the fact that if people in this prison, whether they be members of the prison camp, employees, or inmates, if they spoke to media outside of the prison, they would face retaliation, stiff retaliation, and it's just a top-down protection of Gielane Maxwell. They write, quote, a whistleblower who came forward to House Democrats alleging that Maxwell received preferential treatment at a federal prison camp says she was not motivated by politics. Instead, quote, this was about common human decency and doing what's right for all inmates. Noella Tornage, hopefully I'm pronouncing her name correctly, a nurse who worked at federal
Starting point is 00:01:58 prison camp Bryant since 2019 until she was fired last week. She added that when even one inmate is wrongly retaliated against, quote, an influence gets another one protected. Somebody had to say something. And I applaud that. I mean, in times of stiff retaliation from the Trump admin, for stepping over them, for crossing them, for this woman to come forward and speak up about this is very noble. And genuinely, it takes a lot of courage to do that. So I thank Noella for for for talking about this, being open about this. Maxwell's time at FPC Bryan and all women's minimum security facility has come under scrutiny since her transfer there in early August from a low security prison in Tallahassee. Her relationship with, obviously, Epstein, has become a focal point.
Starting point is 00:02:44 Ternage said she was not driven by public outrage surrounding Epstein and Maxwell or any other public figures, but acted because she, quote, felt failed by the institution when colleagues and others have spoken out about alleged leadership misconduct and retaliation, and there she is. She said the Federal Bureau of Prisons fired her on November 10th. The decision came a day after the top Democrat on the committee, Jamie Raskin, wrote a letter to Donald Trump saying they had received information from a whistleblower indicating that Maxwell was working on filing a commutation application and receiving special treatment not typically afforded to inmates at Bryan.
Starting point is 00:03:21 The information obtained by the House Judiciary Committee included email correspondence, that Maxwell sent during her first few months at the prison camp. And just think about that. I mean, this officer at this prison in Texas is saying, you know what, it's pretty weird that this awful criminal who committed heinous acts against children is getting assistance in working on a commutation application. It's weird that she's even at this prison in the first place, but she's actually getting help from prison officials on her commutation application
Starting point is 00:03:52 to get her out of prison. that reeks of cover-up, that reeks of inappropriate conduct, and she spoke up about it and she got fired for it. This is why this story is so important, because we're seeing what Donald Trump is doing with the Epstein files and the cover-up there, but it's so much deeper than just the files. It's Galane Maxwell, right? Galane Maxwell is the only one who's still alive. She's the only one who could speak about what she saw, what Epstein knew, and Donald Trump knows that. And what is he doing? Giving her special treatment at this prison. And that's why I've maintained up until now that I would not surprise me
Starting point is 00:04:30 if Donald Trump were to pardon Maxwell. And we get that news maybe later in his term or just randomly after the midterms. It would not surprise me. Now, I want to hear from this Atlantic journalist who obtained these emails from Maxwell during his appearance on Caitlin Collins last night. I think you'd be interested in this too. So let's see what they have to say. Because, again, this reporting is genuinely stunning for anybody who wants to see justice against someone. someone like Maxwell. Take a look. He has obtained dozens of personal emails that Maxwell has sent over the last several months after being switched to a minimum security prison in Texas, the tone of which appears to be cheerful,
Starting point is 00:05:06 free of regret or remorse. She wrote about the move and said, quote, the food is legions better, the place is clean, the staff responsive and polite. It was safer too because, quote, you were not allowed to steal, beat people up, and attack them with homemade weapons. Geline Maxwell says that she felt she was finally on the right side of, quote, Alice in Wonderland's looking glass, noting, I am much happier. My source is the Atlantic staff writer who obtained these emails, Isaac Stanley Becker. And thank you for being here. What have you learned in these emails? I mean, you literally have the emails themselves.
Starting point is 00:05:41 I have them here right in front of me. You know, Caitlin, I was so curious to get my hands on these emails because there's been so much attention on Epstein and Epstein files and the existence or non-existence of this client list. But Jeffrey Epstein is dead, and Galane Maxwell, the person who's been convicted of crimes associated with his conduct, is alive. And as you said, she's being held at this minimum security prison in Texas. And she's been emailing members of her family, members of her legal team. And so we're able to listen to her own words about what her situation is like, what's on her mind, and what her expectations and hopes are for the future. And as you said, I was somewhat surprised that the tone of these emails, you know, I was a
Starting point is 00:06:23 expecting some type of sadness, if not for the victims, you know, maybe for her own situation. This is someone who's had quite a fall from grace. But she's really quite cheerful in these messages. She's optimistic. She's really grateful and reveling in her much improved conditions in this prison. And so I found that rather remarkable. So when you go through the... I just want to briefly pause it there. We're going to start once again very soon. I just had to comment on what he just said that in these emails, Gilane Maxwell appears cheerful, gleeful about her situation, her improved situation.
Starting point is 00:06:58 And that is so sickening to me. So sickening. I mean, the crimes that she committed in connection with Epstein are stomach churning. When you really get into the nitty gritty of it all, if you read the indictment against her, the case against her, just information generally about what they did. It is stomach churning. And she is now celebrating, no remorse for the victims, but celebrating because Donald Trump is helping her. her out. It is, our country is so backwards right now. We have a felon in the Oval Office who's helping other felons. And justice appears to be absent. Just gross. Through the emails, I mean,
Starting point is 00:07:35 there's, she talks about the perks that she gets, basically. What did you, what stood out to you from what she was telling people about how different it is than the one she was in, most crucially, before she sat down and spoke to the Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche. That's right. And that's an important part of the timeline. She really sings the praises of, this facility and you mentioned part of it but she talks about how the food is much better she said I haven't seen or heard the usual foul language or screaming accompanied by threats leveled at inmates by anyone I haven't seen a single fight drug deal passed out person or naked inmate and importantly she also describes
Starting point is 00:08:12 the the rather unusual services that the warden of this prison is providing to her ensuring special access for her visitors in a unique part of the prison and also playing this very odd kind of go-between role for her, between her and members of her legal team, emailing and scanning documents. And I talked to defense attorneys in the area, seasoned defense attorneys, including some who've represented clients who've been held in this facility. And they said that this is just so outside of the norm that there's about 650 women being held at this facility. The warding is just not involved in individual cases like this. What one defense attorney said to me is there's two possible explanations. One is that this warden
Starting point is 00:08:57 has some sort of special, you know, feelings or loyalty toward Gleine Maxwell, which seems rather unlikely. I mean, this random warden at this random facility in Texas, or that she's received some sort of instructions from higher-ups, members of the Justice Department, members of the Trump administration to provide for Maxwell in a unique way. And that would be rather concerning. Yeah, rather concerning is an understatement. That'd be really damn concerned. I mean, that's exactly what's happening, though. I feel like he, you know, he's laying out the two options correctly, but it's almost certainly the latter, right? It's almost certainly the fact that this warden, this prison, employees there have been given instructions from higher-ups to help Galane Maxwell
Starting point is 00:09:39 specifically, which is, again, sickening, stomach churning, and they can't speak about it publicly because they'll get fired, and they don't want to lose their jobs. And I get that. You don't want to lose your job, whatever. But that is almost certainly what's taking. taking place and it's happening right before our very eyes. And MAGA tries to pretend as if there's no cover up. There's no special treatment being given here. And that, you know, we have to trust Galane Maxwell's word when she said she never saw Donald Trump do anything wrong. Bullshit. Bullshit. This cover up is the evidence, I think. And enough evidence for for me, certainly, to look at this situation and say, she knows something and she's not saying it. So she
Starting point is 00:10:18 gets her dog, her yoga at this lower level security camp. So look, I just had to cover the story. We cannot forget about the Galane Maxwell aspect about this all because it's happening in real time. Trump doesn't want us talking about it. And that's exactly why we're going to talk about it some more. But look, I will leave the video there. Thank you so much for watching. Make sure to subscribe down below. Drop a like on the video, comment. Let me know what you think about this story. I'm always curious to hear from you amazing folks at home. But I will leave it there. Have an amazing rest of your day. We will talk soon.
