Starting point is 00:00:00 All right, so do you remember when you were a kid and you and your friends had to come up with an explanation for your parents as to why you missed curfew or why you were out late? And you and your friends had to walk in lockstep. You had to know your lie, know your facts, and explain it the same way. And then your friends got it wrong and you got busted. You were left in the dust. Well, that analogy is exactly what happened to Donald Trump and Caroline Levitt yesterday because Trump himself has now completely blown up Caroline Levitt's explanation for one of his major health. issues. It seems like they were not walking in lockstep about the lie and they're offering differing explanations, making them both look pretty stupid. But what's new? So we're going to go
Starting point is 00:00:39 over that story and talk about this major health issue. Then we're going to hear from a doctor who describes Donald Trump's health regimen as nonsense, which is a fair description. But before we do any of that, make sure to subscribe down below, drop a like on the video, comment. Let me know what you think about the story. Once again, happy New Year. I want to say once more that I am so thankful for you and I'm so thankful that you're in this fight with me. And I can't stop saying it. I really mean it. So let's get into it. You might have seen yesterday, whether it be on this show or somebody else's or another source, that the Wall Street Journal released a bombshell article on Donald Trump's health. And that is not an exaggeration. They revealed some pretty significant and
Starting point is 00:01:18 concerning things about Donald Trump's health, such as the fact that he takes four times the daily recommendation of aspirin every single day and has done this for the past 24. years, and he won't stop, even after his doctors have asked him to, because apparently, according to him, he's superstitious, and he wants thin blood running through his heart. And I know if there's any heart doctors out there, especially, you're probably cringing, as I say that. This interview also revealed that he hates exercise. He called it boring, but we know that his diet is still crap. He barely sleeps. His hearing is getting worse. He have to scream at Trump in these meetings for him to hear you. But also, he talked about the bruising on his hand, and where
Starting point is 00:01:57 that's coming from and what he said is different from what Caroline Levitt said. It's crazy. I don't know how they didn't get this right. So Trump has publicly humiliated Caroline Levitt by contradicting her repeated reassurances and excuses about his health issues. Since Trump's 79 returned to office last January, speculation has raged over bruising on his hands and about his cognitive ability, particularly after he underwent a mystery scan in the fall with the Daily Beast leading the way on reporting the president's various medical issues, including his swollen cancels, the ankles that looked as large as tree trunks, which we've gotten an explanation for venous insufficiency, but still pretty strange. Leavitt has repeatedly claimed the reason for the discoloration on the back of his
Starting point is 00:02:40 hand, which the president is now covering up with bandages, makeup, and band-aids, is that he's a man of the people. Trump meets more Americans and shakes their hand on a daily basis than any other president in history. You've probably heard this from Caroline Levitt, that the excuse is he just shakes so many hands, and that's why there's bruising, which makes absolutely no sense. But while Levitt has attributed the bruising to the president's routine aspirin use, she has often led her responses to questions about Trump's hands by blaming his handsshaking, including when questioned on the matter earlier this month by a Daily Beast reporter. Quote, the president is literally, constantly shaking hands. The Oval Office is like Grand
Starting point is 00:03:19 Central Terminal. So that's the excuse they've gone with. But days after the abrues, Brewing appeared to spread to Trump's left hand, which he does not use to greet people, which does not explain, or at least Caroline Levitt's explanation doesn't explain that. The president on Thursday gave a relevatory interview about his health to the Wall Street Journal. Trump offered a different reason for the bruising, overuse of aspirin and his thinning skin, his delicate skin. He told the journal he takes 325 milligrams of aspirin a day, four times the 81 milligram low dose commonly used in daily therapy. despite the fact that his doctors are asking him not to do that. The higher than recommended aspirin use, Trump said, has become a central factor in the bruising that's been spotted on his hands.
Starting point is 00:04:04 But he told the outlet he refuses to reduce the dose because he's been on the same routine for decades and is a little superstitious. Imagine running with your health regimen, doing it every day because you're superstitious. Doctors are telling you like, you should not be doing this. This is bad for somebody your age. it's bad for anybody of any age and you're just like, well, you know, I have superstitious. I think I've done it for so long, so I should keep doing it.
Starting point is 00:04:32 I mean, apply that to literally anything else that's bad for your health and it sounds stupid. Oh, I've been smoking for so long. I'm superstitious. I shouldn't stop doing it because I've been doing it for so long. It makes no sense. Trump also said he wears makeup because he has soft skin and it bruises when it gets whacked. Discussing an episode in which Attorney General Pam Bondi nicked him during a high five, he told the journal, the ring hit the back of my hand, and yes, there was a slight cut,
Starting point is 00:04:57 and you can see there's a bandage on his hand there. He added that he puts makeup on his hands after he gets whacked again by someone saying, I have makeup, that's, you know, easy to put on, takes about 10 seconds. He also gave further details about his October scan, further embarrassing Leavitt, who has fended off repeated inquiries about it from the White House podium. She at first repeatedly answered questions without naming the test and leaning on scripted assurances about his condition. On October 23rd, she declined to specify what test he received. On November 4th, pressed on why Trump had a week earlier described it as an MRI, she said she would check back while insisting he was an optimal physical health. She never checked back,
Starting point is 00:05:35 for the record. When asked again on November 12th, Leavitt leaned on the language of the doctor's memo, reiterating that Trump received advanced imaging as part of a routine exam that physicians considered him in exceptional condition. But Levin's position remained the same until December 1st, when Trump's physician released a memo describing cardiovascular imaging. Levitt told reporters the screaming was normal and positioned the disclosure as transparency. But even then, the White House's preferred shorthand remained advanced imaging rather than a clear label as to what it was. Donald Trump said he'd been telling people it's an MRI, but then corrected it saying it was a scan and that actually it was a CT scan. So Caroline Levitt really is getting thrown under the bus here.
Starting point is 00:06:16 She is given these talking points to go out there and tell the press. and then Donald Trump right now in this interview is saying, oh, no, it was a CT scan. That's what the doctors told me. He said MRI at first. He doesn't know what he's talking about. Then it's a CT scan to rule out cardiovascular issues with no abnormalities found. And Levitt's kind of left out to dry. So it's just funny how Donald Trump does this like pretty consistently to his staff.
Starting point is 00:06:39 He will send them out to say something. And then like a month later, he just says something different. But on that topic of aspirin usage, which is really the main story here, a doctor is now blasting it as nonsense, which it is a top cardiologist, Jonathan Reiner, who is CNN's medical analyst and Dick Cheney's former heart doctor, so he knows a thing in two about hearts, said Trump's theory that aspirin prevents him from having thick blood makes no sense and question why the 79-year-old president doesn't take advice from doctors. He said, I'm a little superstitious, as we know, Donald Trump said, but Reiner said, that makes no sense. That actually makes nonsense.
Starting point is 00:07:15 I like that. Reiner explained that using aspirin to thin blood is not like changing something from gumbo to chicken soup, it doesn't make it thinner, it makes you less likely to clot. Reiner said the dosage that cardiologists typically prescribed to patients, even those with coronary artery disease, is 81 milligrams, as we read. Quote, they'd rather have me take the smaller one, as Donald Trump said, but I take the larger one. I've done it for years, and what it does is it causes bruising. Why is the president taking an unorthodox dose of aspirin? He asked, and the media has published many photos of his right hand, and now maybe his left hand with this chronic bruise. The White House has said that this is related to the
Starting point is 00:07:52 aspirin therapy. So if you're bruising a lot and your doctor says you're on too much aspirin, why wouldn't you go down to the lower dose? It makes no sense to me. Me too. Dr. Jonathan Reiner, it doesn't make any sense to me. I don't think it makes sense to anybody why Donald Trump is relying on superstitions for his health, why he's taking a bunch of aspirin, even though his doctors are telling him not to do that. It doesn't make any sense. But honestly, this kind of tracks, if I'm being honest, I mean, look, Donald Trump, anything in his administration, anything in his regime doesn't make sense. The experts are telling him, hey, you shouldn't do this. So of course, he does the opposite. And it's no different with his health. He's just a contrarian. And he likes to rely on his own instincts.
Starting point is 00:08:30 And according to him, his genetics, that's the word he used in the interview, he thinks he knows better than doctors. And that's why our country is in such a bad place right now, because this narcissistic, 79-year-old lunatic orange freak, who is, you know, a criminal sitting in the Oval office thinks he knows better than the people who have studied these topics for their entire lives. We're in a bad spot. But man, how bad is that for Caroline Leavitt? Everything we just went through, I know it was a lot of information at once, a lot of reading. But ugh, getting thrown under the bus like that by your own guy, the guy you suck up to every day can't be fun, I imagine. But anyway, I'll leave the video there. I just wanted to bring this story to you and this contradiction to you. I think it is so funny. But thank you so much for watching. Make sure to subscribe down below.
