Starting point is 00:00:00 All right, folks, so I want to give you the most recent updates on Donald Trump's invasion of Venezuela, his goal to take over Greenland, and the many other countries that he's flirting with invading pretty much every single day. I got to be honest, it really does feel like every hour there's a new insane story about Trump and his planning for Greenland or whatever it might be. So I want to just dive into some of it, talk about it, hear from you folks in the comments and see what you think about everything. But before I do any of that, make sure to subscribe down below. Drop a like on the video. comment, let me know what you think about the story. And without further ado, I wanted to start with this post on Twitter, which I genuinely believe to be true.
Starting point is 00:00:37 This comes from Drew saying, I fully believe the idea that misleading maps have convinced Trump that Greenland is massive. You have the Mercator map, which we reference when we're looking at a world map, it stretches out the countries on the top. You know, you know that. But the actual size of Greenland is, you know, maybe a size of a country in Africa or two. It's much smaller than the maps make it seem. and I believe, I truly agree, that Donald Trump probably looks at the Mercator map and thinks,
Starting point is 00:01:03 oh, Greenland is massive, we need all of it, and he doesn't have any idea what's going on. But I want to get into this report from Ed O'Keefe. He is a journalist who had this report come out from CBS. So, of course, you know, don't love Barry Weiss at CBS, but Ed O'Keefe put out this really good report regarding, is Greenland next, what the White House is saying regarding options and what they're considering. And I'll give you a quick hint. They are not ruling out using the military to take over Greenland. So this is everything we know right now.
Starting point is 00:01:29 Watch. Tonight, the White House is doubling down on President Trump's pursuit of Greenland, saying that utilizing the U.S. military is always an option. The United States should have Greenland as part of the United States. There's an American military base with approximately 150 troops on the island, a semi-autonomous territory of Denmark, which is a NATO partner. European leaders today slammed the idea of a takeover saying Greenland belongs to its people, while Congressional Democrats said the move would have disastrous consequences.
Starting point is 00:01:58 Nothing would lead to the absolute destruction of NATO more than American aggressive action against a long-term ally like Denmark. The renewed focus on Greenland comes as questions remain about the president's strategy in Venezuela. Today he shared more details about the weekend capture of Nicolas Maduro. It was so complex, 152 airplanes, many, many, talking about boots in the ground. We had a lot of boots on the ground. But it was amazing. The electricity for almost the entire country was, boom, turned on. That's when they knew there was a problem.
Starting point is 00:02:34 There was no electricity. CBS News has learned that as the Maduro's tried to escape into their safe room, Delta Force commandos threw stun grenades in their direction. Officials say they were bleeding when captured. Venezuelan authorities confirmed at least 24 of their officers were killed in the weekend raid, and the country's interim president, Delcei Rodriguez, said today, the Venezuelan government is in charge. and no one else.
Starting point is 00:02:56 I've been saying it for a long time. Nobody can take us. Trump has claimed he's in control and said there won't be new elections in the country for at least 30 days. The Pentagon tonight says two U.S. service members are still recovering from injuries sustained during the operation to remove Maduro from Venezuela. Five additional service members were injured, but have already returned the duty. Wow. Yeah. So, it's just all so insane.
Starting point is 00:03:21 You know, I want to pause and just briefly say, I am thankful for you folks staying in the fight because even me, I do this every day. I read the news 24-7. It's tiring listening to all this crap from Donald Trump, him just ramble incoherently all the time about things he doesn't understand. So the fact that you're still involved is great. But nonetheless, the idea that Donald Trump is seriously sitting there thinking about invading a NATO ally is a headline you might hear in a movie about how World War III began, not something you'd hope to be hearing from the current administration leading the United States. I should say the current regime. That's what it is. You know, it's, it's so asinine and backwards. It's so antithetical to the values we hold in
Starting point is 00:04:06 the United States. It's antithetical to the goals that we should have around the world, which is peace, prosperity, and unity against bad people and bad leaders, right? That's, I mean, that's the goal. But nonetheless, on that very topic of, you know, global condemnation of Donald Trump, there was a joint statement released today by a number of different leaders from Europe, specifically condemning Donald Trump's threats. And I want to read it to you because I do think it's incredibly powerful. This is a joint statement on Greenland released by President Macron of France, Murs of Germany, Maloney of Italy, Tusk of Poland, Sanchez of Spain, Starmer of the United Kingdom,
Starting point is 00:04:43 and Fredericksson of Denmark. And they said, quote, Arctic security remains a key priority for Europe, and it is critical for international and transatlantic security. NATO has made clear that. the Arctic region is a priority and European allies are stepping up. We and many other allies have increased our presence, activities, and investments to keep the Arctic safe and to deter adversaries. The Kingdom of Denmark, including Greenland, is part of NATO. Security in the Arctic must therefore be achieved collectively in conjunction with NATO allies, including the United
Starting point is 00:05:12 States. We can be part of that, and we don't have to invade a NATO ally. It's a great thing. By upholding the principles of the UN Charter, including sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the invalability of the borders. They are universal principles, and we will not stop defending them. The United States is an essential partner in this endeavor as a NATO ally and through the defense agreement between the Kingdom of Denmark and the U.S. of 1951. Greenland belongs to its people. It is for Denmark and Greenland and them only to decide on matters concerning Denmark
Starting point is 00:05:41 and Greenland. That is exactly right. And in addition to this, we actually got a rare bipartisan agreement, or I should say statement from Senator Tom Tillis and Gene Shaheen, who are Democrat, Tillis is a Republican. Jean Chaheen is a Democrat. And the statement says something similar. Denmark is one of our oldest and most reliable allies. Danish troops have fought and died alongside Americans in numerous conflicts.
Starting point is 00:06:04 When Denmark and Greenland make it clear that Greenland is not for sale, the United States must honor its treaty obligations and respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the kingdom of Denmark. So to be clear so far, we've had a number of European leaders condemned on. Trump. We have Democrats and Republicans saying this is insane, but nonetheless, they are not taking military action against a NATO ally off the table. So nobody wants it. Nobody wants this. Not Europe, not Americans, not Democrats, Republicans, but Donald Trump seems to be all in on this idea of we're doing it no matter what I say. And it's not the only insane news that we've gotten
Starting point is 00:06:43 from Trump today regarding his international endeavors. We also learn from Donald Trump, that he is now saying he will control Venezuelan oil money. This is insane. Donald Trump announced in a Tuesday night's Truth Social Post that the U.S. successfully obtained millions of barrels of Venezuelan oil following his regime invasion of Venezuela. Quote, I'll just actually read the whole statement, I am pleased to announce that the interim authorities in Venezuela will be turning over between 30 and 50 million barrels of high-quality sanctioned oil to the United States of America. This oil will be sold at market price and that money will be controlled.
Starting point is 00:07:18 by me as president of the United States to ensure it is used to benefit the people of Venezuela and the United States. I've asked Energy Secretary Chris Wright to execute this plan, yada, yada, yada, yada. So Donald Trump, a known fraudster when it comes to money will now be in control of another country's money to spend on a country he doesn't understand and to allegedly spend on the United States. And when he spends, he puts it into BS programs like targeting DEI and crap like that. What could go wrong? Oh, yeah, everything could go wrong. That's what could go wrong.
Starting point is 00:07:51 Everything could go wrong. Donald Trump can't even control our own money, let alone lead our own country, let alone lead another country and control their money. This is a disaster on the world stage. And again, I am, look, as a young person, as an American, as somebody who keeps up to date with the news, I'm incredibly concerned about the precedent this sets. Because there's nothing that the United States can say now to point to Russia and say, you can't take Zelensky and then take their resources. We can't point to China and say, you can't go to Taiwan.
Starting point is 00:08:22 They shouldn't do those things. But what are we going to say? We just did it. We just did that very thing. The precedent we set, the enabling of our enemies to do something like this, even worse, is dangerous. It is devastating. We need to be the example on the world stage that we go through the bureaucracy. We go through negotiations.
Starting point is 00:08:43 We have treaties and we honor those treaties. not what we're doing right now. It's insane. It's insane. So anyway, sorry about that. Sorry about the little rant, but I feel passionate about this. I know you do too.
Starting point is 00:08:55 It's just so much craziness. I will keep you updated on all of this. When I get it, I will bring it to you. And I'll leave it there. There's a lot coming out. So make sure to subscribe, drop a like on the video, comment, let me know what you think about all of this. I will read all of your comments.
Starting point is 00:09:09 I love hearing from you guys. It's a nice back and forth that we have here, and I really appreciate that. But yeah, thank you, so much for watching. Have an amazing rest of your day. We will talk soon.
