Starting point is 00:00:00 All right, folks, check this out. They've had enough of Donald Trump's antics and they are calling him out publicly. One of the families of a fallen American soldier in the war in Iran is now slamming Donald Trump in a new statement for his uncalled-for war. And they're saying that it didn't have to be this way, yet Donald Trump himself made it this way. And the really sad thing about this story is not only are we talking about a fallen American hero, but also Donald Trump just doesn't care about them or their family. He cares about the headline, the fact that he's getting bad press and it's getting traction, but he doesn't actually care about the content of the story. He doesn't care that this family is grieving and they're angry at him for putting them in this situation.
Starting point is 00:00:42 So I want to dive into the story, read you what they said. But I want to start with talking about the six American soldiers who recently died, which this man who is related to this family was part of. And I said this on Twitter last night. These are the six American heroes who died in a refueling operation as part of Trump. Iran War. You have John A. Clinner, Tyler Simmons, whose family has put out this statement, Ashley Pruitt, Seth Koval, Curtis Anx, and Ariana Savino. And they are all under the age of 38. And they range between 38 all the way down to 28. Really, really young people who have lost their
Starting point is 00:01:19 lives in this war because of Donald Trump. Now, a GoFundMe has been set up for Alex Clinner, one of the fallen soldiers, and they've already raised $1.2 million, but no amount of money is going to be able to heal their pain, the pain of his wife and his children that he leaves behind. It won't be able to solve any of that, but, you know, $1.2 million will help them stay afloat and help them pay for the things they need to now that Alex Clinner has passed away. But this is not exactly news with Donald Trump. We've known for quite some time that he doesn't care about fallen American soldiers. he doesn't care about their families going all the way back to his first term,
Starting point is 00:01:55 he said that fallen American soldiers who died at war are losers and suckers. He didn't want disabled Americans as a result of their warfighting to be involved in a military parade because he thought it looked weak. He didn't want to go to a cemetery where fallen American soldiers were laid to rest because it was raining and he didn't want to get his hair wet. That's who Donald Trump is. He has never cared, and he also showed that recently as well, at the dignified transfer of fallen American soldiers from Iraq.
Starting point is 00:02:22 where he wore a baseball hat while the ceremony was taking place. He didn't have the decency to take off the hat. And by the way, it's a campaign hat. It's a campaign hat that he wore to this dignified transfer. It didn't have the dignity and the decency and the respect to take off the hat. And of course, throughout this war, Donald Trump's entire argument has been, well, there will be casualties. You know, it's just the way it is. It doesn't have to be that way, by the way.
Starting point is 00:02:51 Donald Trump has made it that way. He has said that throughout this entire conflict. Watch. Seeks to kill. The lives of courageous American heroes may be lost, and we may have casualties that often happens in war. But we're doing this, not for now. We're doing this for the future. And it is a noble mission.
Starting point is 00:03:12 We pray for every service member as they selflessly risk their lives to ensure that Americans and our children will never be threatened. by a nuclear armed Iran. There will be casualties at war. That's often what happens. It's just the way it is. Donald Trump has said consistently that there will be casualties. And he's also said that there will be more casualties on top of the ones that Americans
Starting point is 00:03:35 have already suffered. It is heartbreaking. And yet Donald Trump talks about it so casually, especially when he's not reading from teleprompter, when he's just speaking to the press, he's like, yeah, there'll be some. Yeah, you know, that's just kind of the way it is. insane. Insane insanity. It's ridiculous. And so I want to go through this article with you to talk about the family of Tyler Simmons and their statement. So the family of fallen American airman rages at Trump's uncalled for war. The families of a service member killed in Donald Trump's war are
Starting point is 00:04:03 pleading with the president to end the conflict in Iran the same day that Donald Trump was seen golfing in West Palm Beach. The family of tech sergeant Tyler Simmons, who was only 28, one of six American service members killed Thursday when an Air Force refueling aircraft crashed while supporting military operations in Iran said they believe his death could have been prevented, which is absolutely the truth. Quote, just the worst nightmare we could ever imagine. We trust in God that he will comfort us and be with our family. Simmons's cousin, Stephen Douglas, told NBC4 in Simmons's native Ohio, quote,
Starting point is 00:04:38 We believe that this could have been prevented. It is a sad day. A sad day, indeed, a war, a death, deaths, plural that could have been prevented. And Donald Trump has nothing to say about it. He has nothing to say about it. He has nothing to say about these six American service members, these heroes who died, who made the ultimate sacrifice. A sacrifice, by the way, that Donald Trump wouldn't make in a million years.
Starting point is 00:05:01 I mean, you know, we're talking about Mr. Draft Dodger himself, Mr. Bonespurs himself. He's never put on the uniform. He's never considered what it means to serve. And so it is a sad day, a day that could have entirely. been prevented. Douglas added that we didn't need to be in this war. This is uncalled for, and this is what we get, which really is a gut punch statement. You know, it's just, it is so sad when you think about the fact that, you know, we didn't have to be here. This is not a necessary death as a part of war. It just didn't have to be this way. Donald Trump made it this way.
Starting point is 00:05:37 Simmons's grandmother, Bernice Smith, echoed the same sentiment to NBC4 saying, families are suffering right now. Just to create a war because you want to create a war is not right. And that's been Donald Trump's entire motivation, hasn't it been, right? I mean, he is, you know, given shifting explanations for why we're in this war in the first place. It was for nuclear weapons. And except, you know, over the summer, he bombed Iran there and said we obliterated their nuclear program. And according to senators behind these closed door briefings, they've said nothing about nuclear weapons. And it's not their goal. And then it's, you know, to protect the United States, there was a threat from Iran. Well, Caroline Levitt said the other day that there was actually
Starting point is 00:06:16 no threat to the United States from Iran. So they keep changing what it is. And Donald Trump said, the only time he'll end this war is when he feels it in his bones. Whatever the hell that means. He means. He has no idea what's going on, no justification. And I think Bernie Smith is right. Just to create a war because you want to create a war is not right. That was Trump's motivation. He wanted a war. He wanted a war. In his statement, the Simmons family encouraged the public to take their grief to the ballot box in November, and I really want folks at home to hear this. Our hearts are sad and beyond measure to learn of six more airmen being killed last night. One of them is our beloved Tyler Simmons.
Starting point is 00:06:52 Tyler's smile could light up any room. His strong presence would fill it. His parents, grandparents, family, and friends are grief-stricken for the loss of life. Vote for Tyler and the five others who lost their lives recently, and for all of those serving our country. They are heroes who are loved and will be missed. praying for Tyler, his fellow airmen, his family, and we pray for the United States to do better and be better. And of course, other loved ones, by the way, an amazing statement, a powerful statement, and an encouraging statement saying, hey, you know, vote for Tyler.
Starting point is 00:07:25 Vote for the six service members who died. Vote for them. You know, that's what we can do for them because clearly Donald Trump is doing nothing for them and nothing for their families. So if we can do anything to honor these heroes, we remember them and we vote for them. Other loved ones of Simmons also took to social media to voice their sorrow, saying we are devastated by the news of losing one of our own. Tyler has always been our family neighbor, and East Haven and my daughter's and niece's childhood friend.
Starting point is 00:07:51 Please keep our military and military families in prayer, and especially Tyler's parents. We love you, Tyler Simmons, and could never forget you. You were an amazing young man and made the ultimate sacrifice. We will always look out for your parents and your honor. Oh, man. That's a heavy topic, isn't it? It's a heavy topic.
Starting point is 00:08:09 It really hits you. And that's the thing, right? I mean, behind every service member that has died in this war, behind every service member out there right now, there is a family. There might be kids, a wife, a husband, whoever it might be. There are people that love them who think about them every day and are worried sick right now.
Starting point is 00:08:31 And Trump just doesn't care. Couldn't show a little bit of care, not even a little bit. He wears his hats. He says there will be casualties. And you just got to suck it up, according to Donald Trump. So shout out to the family of Tyler Simmons. I am amazed by their courage and their strength to put out a statement in this time and to call people to take action.
Starting point is 00:08:51 I really admire that. And so, you know, shout out to them genuinely. So please make sure to subscribe down below. Show some love for the Simmons family. Drop a like on the video. If you're on Apple or Spotify, please make sure to rate the show five stars and follow along. I will continue to call out Donald Trump in this war and everything going on with this administration.
Starting point is 00:09:09 and I hope you join me in that fight. So have an amazing rest of your day and we will talk soon.
