Starting point is 00:00:00 One of the worst parts about Donald Trump's war with Iran is the lies. It feels like every word that comes out of this guy's mouth is a complete fabrication that he made up on the spot. For example, Donald Trump has said the war has gone perfectly. He rated it a 15 out of 10 in terms of how well it's going. He says, couldn't be better. Except we all know that's not true because we have reports like this one on your screen right now.
Starting point is 00:00:23 A belligerent Iran has the United States rushing missile and drone defenses to the Gulf. Does that sound like the war is going perfectly, as Pete Hegseth and Donald Trump have said? Yeah, I don't think so. So we're going to talk about this story. But if you want a real look at what Donald Trump's plan is for Iran, how he sees this war going, take no further look than the clip we got earlier today where Donald Trump was asked, you know, what's your plan here? And he said, well, I might have a plan or maybe I don't. Just wonderful coming from the guy who got us into the war. You know, I may have a plan or I may not, but how would I ever say that to a reporter?
Starting point is 00:01:02 If I said that to a reporter, Marco would say, please, sir, let's bring you over to the helicopter immediately. Right? Yeah, so that's Donald Trump talk for I don't have a plan. I mean, we know that. I'm not going into this thinking, oh, maybe Donald Trump actually has some master plan about what to do with Iran and he's going to implement it to perfection. If you are thinking that, I have a bridge to sell you. but this is further Trump talk and an admission that he doesn't have a plan. He's kind of playing it by year.
Starting point is 00:01:30 I mean, remember, we've talked about on this show that nobody in the Trump administration except for some military officials who obviously Trump didn't listen to thought that Iran was going to close the Strait of Hormuz. They have no idea what they're doing. Incompetency personified is what you're looking at on your screen right now. Trump, J.D. Vance, Pete Hagseth, Marker Rubio, none of them have any idea what's going on. And because of headlines like this, that a U.S. F-35 plane was strong. by in Iran missile yesterday. Donald Trump appears to be wanting to wind down the war. He actually
Starting point is 00:02:01 posted on Truth Social earlier today saying we are getting very close to meeting our objectives as we consider winding down our great military efforts in the Middle East with respect to the terrorist regime of Iran. And just to be clear, objectives have not been met. I mean, Donald Trump really never had any idea as to why we were going to war with Iran. He was once again, kind of making it up on the fly. But Donald Trump is not looking to wind down the war because he thinks it's the right thing to do and we've succeeded and it's all great. He's doing it because the polls are devastating for Donald Trump.
Starting point is 00:02:33 I mean, he's looking at the numbers. He's seeing that his numbers are going down and down and down. He sees that the American people don't want to be spending billions of dollars on this. And he says on Truth Social that, one, they have completely degraded Iran's missile capability, launchers and everything else pertaining to them. Number two, destroying Iran's defense industrial base. Three, eliminating their Navy and Air Force, including anti-aircraft weaponry, which, you know, we have this F-35 jet that was damaged yesterday, had to make an emergency landing.
Starting point is 00:03:02 I don't know if that third objective is going so well, eliminating their Navy Air Force, including anti-aircraft weaponry. Not so sure about that one. Four, never allowing Iran to get even close to nuclear capability and always being in a position where the United States can quickly and powerfully react to such a situation. should it take place? Once again, we were in that position. It was called the Iran nuclear deal that Obama negotiated that prevented them from getting nuclear weapons that Donald Trump tore up. We were actually in that position. Donald Trump took us out of it and look where we are many
Starting point is 00:03:33 years later. Five, protecting at the highest level our Middle Eastern allies, including Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, and others. The Hormuz Strait will have to be guarded and policed as necessary by other nations who use it. The United States does not. If asked, we will help these countries in their Hormuz efforts, but it shouldn't be necessary once Iran's threat is eradicated. Importantly, it will be an easy military operation for them. Thanks for your attention. An easy military operation that he's just not doing, apparently. Apparently, it's so easy, according to Donald Trump, it's so easy to open the Hormuz Strait, except his generals behind the scenes have been telling him that actually it's quite difficult.
Starting point is 00:04:11 And there's no real plan, as of now, to open the Hormuz Strait or how they're actually going to open it Again, once again, incompetency. They have no idea what they're doing. No idea how to end this war. No idea how to open the straight of Hormuz and gas prices are going up. And just prices generally are going up every single day. But it seems like Donald Trump is acknowledging that the American people don't like what he's doing. And that brings us to this.
Starting point is 00:04:33 The fact that Iran is making us rush these missile and drone defenses to the Gulf because of their accurate missiles, because of their fight back against the United States, that once again, according to the Trump administration, privately, they have been shocked at their response. So let's get into this. The Trump administration is racing to ship air defenses, radars, and counter drone systems to Arab states and U.S. forces in the Gulf, hoping to beef up their ability to defend against persistent and accurate Iranian missile and drone attacks. And here's the thing. When we have this conversation, Republicans will say, oh, it sounds like you're rooting for Iran. No, we are rooting for transparency. We are rooting for honesty, we are rooting for no war. That's what we're rooting for. And yet Donald Trump has
Starting point is 00:05:17 none of those things as a priority right now, obviously. The movement of weapons and equipment, including the fast-tracking of $23 billion in future arms sales, signals concerns within the Pentagon that Iran remains capable of devastating attacks as allied supplies of missile interceptors run down and drones continue to slip through. Just think about the split screen we're looking at right now. So the Pentagon is concerned about Iran's ability to retaliate against American forces, against our allies in the Middle East, and yet Donald Trump is on social media saying that we're very close to achieving our objectives, which essentially is a complete destruction of Iran as he kind of laid out there one through five.
Starting point is 00:05:58 So what Trump is saying is entirely different from what the Pentagon is doing behind the scenes from the Wall Street Journal's reporting. And you can see that once again, it's the lies from Donald Trump. It's the lies. Every single thing, every single topic he lies about to make it seem like. like he's far more successful than he is, and that's just not the reality, of course. I mean, we've known that. Donald Trump has done this every single day anytime he's been in politics.
Starting point is 00:06:21 Three weeks into the war, the United States now needs to shore up the region's defenses as it works to wear down Iran's capabilities and Israel hunts the country's leadership. Arab governments have repeatedly asked for more defensive equipment without much in return, people familiar with the matter said, which I actually don't think is an unreasonable ask for these nations that were allied with because, We got them in this position. I mean, for example, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar. I mean, those are allies of the United States.
Starting point is 00:06:49 We decided to launch the war. They have subsequently been struck. The U.S. and Israel, by midweek, had bombed more than 16,000 targets in Iran, including missile launchers and drone depots. While the volume of Iran's missile and drone attacks has dropped sharply since the opening days of the war, and Gulf states like the UAE have said their defenses are adequate, Tehran has been able to maintain its barrages at lower levels and continues to score direct hits on sensitive targets.
Starting point is 00:07:13 As in the F-35 jet, we saw yesterday, which, by the way, they were bragging about doing on Twitter. Kamini, so this is actually the account of the dead Ayatollah, which is, I don't know why they're exactly either doing this, but posting a missile or posting footage of the Iran striking the F-35 jet yesterday. They were bragging about it on Twitter. So whoever is running this dead man's account was bragging about it. This week, Iran hit refineries in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia and did damage to Qatar's
Starting point is 00:07:44 Rosalofin liquefied natural gas facilities that will take years to repair. Iran has taken out a number of U.S. and Allied missile defense radars and early warning systems complicating detection of incoming attacks. Iran is also getting help from Russia in targeting American positions throughout the Gulf. Moscow has expanded its cooperation with Iran by sharing satellite imagery and improved drone technology to improve the effectiveness of its attacks. Russia, by the way, wants this war to continue. They want Iran to remain in the war. The longer the war goes on, the better for Russia, because more of their oils being bought funding their war against Ukraine. So not only is Russia benefiting
Starting point is 00:08:25 from this, they're providing Iran with intel to strike American forces. And what is Donald Trump doing about that? Oh, that's right. Absolutely nothing. Not a, not a single thing. Matter of fact, he's actually denied this report in public, even though it's been confirmed by a variety of different news agencies. Donald Trump is doing nothing about it. He's doing nothing to protect the United States. The competition between air defense systems and Iran's arsenal of drones and missiles is at the center of the war. Tehran lacking a conventional air force or navy that can compete with the United States and Israel's advanced militaries has adopted a strategy of escalating the fighting across a wide front of economic and military targets to reestablish
Starting point is 00:09:04 deterrence and create pressure to stop the onslaught. The U.S. and Israel are trying to attack Iranian drones and missile crews before they can get off their shots. Jet circling the skies above may give them only minutes to emerge from hiding and fire before they get struck. And of course, now the United States is flooding the Middle East with countered drone systems to blunt attacks from Iran's drones, according to U.S. officials. None of this really seems like the United States is hitting a home run here. I mean, you know, none of it is painting that picture as Donald Trump attempts to do every single day. But none of that is really establishing confidence in me or I think anybody that this is going perfectly, as they have said. It's obviously
Starting point is 00:09:44 not. And they continue to lie about it. And despite Donald Trump saying, you know, I think we're going to wind things down, I imagine that this war is going to go on for much, much longer, despite what he says on social media.
