All right, folks, check this out.
The leaks keep happening surrounding Donald Trump's war in Iran, and it's painting a very bleak picture
for not only the Trump administration, but the entire country, the United States of America,
because it's clear that Donald Trump has no idea what he's doing, no way to get out of this war,
no suitable off-ramp, no way to open the Strait of Hormuz, no plan to do any of these things,
and everybody around Trump has no idea what's going on in the world around them.
And as I said for Donald Trump, no idea what they're doing.
It is disastrous.
And Senator Chris Murphy, who's been part of a lot of these closed door briefings on Capitol Hill, put out this thread yesterday.
That went incredibly viral, 4.3 million views exposing a lot of the issues that Trump is facing right now, despite the lies that he's telling the American people, which is the war is going perfectly.
There's nothing to worry about.
Chris Murphy, Senator from Connecticut, says it's crystal clear now that Trump has lost control of this war.
He badly misjudge Iran's ability to retaliate.
The region is on fire, he says.
I'm going to explain to you in this thread what I've learned in part from closed door briefings
about the four biggest current crises in the region right now.
So we're going to get into this thread from Senator Chris Murphy,
see what he's talking about these different leaks that are coming from the Wall Street Journal,
the Washington Post, and he himself talking about these closed door briefings.
And without further ado, let's get into it.

It goes an incredibly long way.
And let's do it.
So, Crisis 1, according to the senator, Trump believed Iran would not close the straight of Hormuz.
We've actually talked about that on this show that very few people in the Trump administration
were planning for this.
They just didn't think that Iran was going to do this, which is so dumb.
I mean, a five-year-old could have predicted this happening.
The most natural course of action for Iran after they've been attacked, but Donald Trump just
didn't see it coming. He was wrong and now oil prices are spiking. If the straight
stays closed, a global recession will result. It actually may already be too late,
which is terrifying. And it's all because of Donald Trump. Gas prices are the first
to spike, but food prices are next. This is from the Washington Post. Before the U.S. went to
war, General Dan Cain, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff told Donald Trump that an American
attack could prompt Iran to close his straight-of-war moves. Kane said in several briefings
that U.S. officials had long believed Iran would deploy mines, drones, and missiles to close
the world's most vital shipping lane, according to people with knowledge of the discussions.
Trump acknowledged the risk, these people said, but move forward anyway with the most consequential
foreign policy decision of his two presidencies. He told his team that Tehran would likely
capitulate before closing the straight, and even if Iran tried, the U.S. military could handle it.
Now, two weeks into the war, Iran's leaders have refused to back down, and the straight of Hormuz has emerged,
as Tehran's most potent leverage point.
Donald Trump completely fumbled the bag.
He has no idea what he's doing.
He has no idea what he's talking about.
And he just thought that Iran would roll over and not use, as the Washington Post or, excuse me,
the Wall Street Journal puts it, their most potent leverage point?
Yeah, I don't think so.
He just doesn't have any foresight.
He's such a disaster.
So this is what Chris Murphy is saying here.
He continues, right now Trump has no plan to reopen the straight and a plan may not exist.
These assets, he certainly hasn't identified one.
They're not telling the senators behind these closed doors that they have a plan.
The assets Iran used to harass and attack tankers, thousands of small drones, speedboats,
and mines cannot be eliminated.
They are too numerous, too spread out and hidden.
And he actually links a Fox News article talking about this, saying Iran deploys explosive
suicide skiffs disguised as fishing boats in the Strait of Hormuz.
And Trump has no plan to deal with these things.
And as the senators said, they're too numerous.
numerous, two spread out and hidden. He continues, what about naval escorts for tankers? This is
something that Donald Trump has been talking about a lot. This is a possibility, but it's much
harder than you think. You don't just put out a bunch of ships and hope for the best. There's
some logistics to be figured out here. First, it would require our entire Navy. A hundred tankers
need escorting each day. Think about how many ships would have to be alongside each tanker to ensure
safety, and it doesn't even ensure safety. Second, if we can't destroy the mines and drones, our ships
are at risk too. So it's not as easy as Donald Trump is making it out to seem. Crisis two,
we can destroy Iran's missiles, but not all of their drones. And war today is drone war. That's what
Donald Trump is not telling the American people. War has evolved from 10, 20, 30 years ago. It is
vastly different. So you can take out their missiles. The drones, these unmanned drones, are much
more difficult. Iran can hit oil sites in the region indefinitely because they possess so many
cheap weaponized drones. And they are. They blew up a critical Oman oil depot two days ago. And this
is a photo from that. Trump has no idea about this stuff. He hasn't mentioned it once in the
public, which either means that he's just not listening to his military people or he's not
informed enough to go out there and talk about it. So he just chooses not to. Number five,
if Trump paid any attention to the Ukraine war, he would have noticed how war has changed. But he
didn't and he blundered. Worse, the Gulf states are running out of interceptors to stop
Iranian missiles and drones, meaning that...

Crisis 3, a broader regional
war is breaking out as
Iranian proxies in Lebanon hit Israel
and those in Iraq target the United States.
Israel is now threatening a massive
ground invasion of Lebanon,
which could become its own new
crisis. We're talking massive regional war in a region that the United States has really been
investing in in recent years, hoping to build up, especially under Joe Biden. He did a lot of
normalizing relations there because, you know, he was really good at his job. He was really good
at foreign policy. And Trump is completely ruining that and giving Netanyahu a blank check to do
whatever he wants. Yeah, go ahead invade Lebanon. Yeah, I'll join you with war in Iran. Yeah,
we'll destabilize the region even more. Good. That's what Donald Trump has done. That's his legacy.
Other potential flashpoints lurk. So far, the Houthis in Yemen have been relatively quiet.
Probably not for long, though. They can project power into the Red Sea, another crucial area for trade.
For Syria, this is the worst time for Trump to strike in Iran.
Syria could explode again.
Eight, Crisis 4. Trump has no endgame, which is absolutely the truth.
Iran and its proxies can create chaos indefinitely.
So what's next? A ground invasion? This would be Armageddon.
Thousands of dead Americans declare false victory.
then the new Iranian hardliners in charge just rebuild what we destroyed.
Now, I don't know which one is more likely because Donald Trump is completely delusional these days,
even more so than he has been previously.
He's older, his brain is mush, and he is in a corner.
He's panicked.
And so he will do anything to save himself, whether that's putting troops on the ground to declare strength
or a false victory pretending that he won when, in reality, Iran will just build up again.
He has put himself in this corner.
All of this was totally foreseeable.
Frankly, it's why previous presidents weren't so stupid to start a war like this.
Trump has lost control of the war.
His best course now is to cut his losses and end it.
That's the only way to prevent an even bigger crisis.
But the problem is he doesn't have a plan to end it.
And on that point, Chris Murphy also put out another thread the other day talking about a briefing that he was in.
And here's what he shared from that.
He's been really good at putting out these threads, providing information to the American
American people because, you know, we don't have any leadership right now.
He said maybe the lead is that the war goals do not involve destroying Iran's nuclear weapons
program.
This is surprising since Trump said that this was his key goal.
Number three, they confirmed regime change is also not on the list.
So they killed the head of Iran for not a regime change reasons.
So they're going to spend hundreds of billions of dollars, get a whole bunch of Americans
killed and a hardlined regime, probably a more anti-American hardline regime, will still be in
charge.
So what are the goals? It seems primarily destroying lots of missiles and boats and drone factories, but the question that stumped them, what happens when you stop bombing and they restart production? They hinted at more bombing, which is an endless war. And on the Strait of Hormuz, they have no plan. This has been a consistent theme that they have no plan to do any of these things. And what's even more concerning and why we must continue to have this conversation is that now it looks like the Trump regime is cracking down on media that reports these things.
Yesterday on Truth Social, Donald Trump said, yet again, an intentionally misleading headline by the fake news media about the five tanker planes that were supposedly struck down at an airport in Saudi Arabia and of no further use.
In actuality, the base was hit a few days ago, but the planes were not struck or destroyed.
Four of the five had virtually no damage and are already back in service.
One had slightly more damage, but will be in the air shortly, which means that they were all damaged.
I don't know if he realizes that he's confirming the reporting, but whatever.
And then he attacks the, he just doesn't, he has no idea what's going on.
That's why I keep saying it.
He has no idea what's going on.
The New York Times and the Wall Street Journal and other low-life papers and media actually
want us to lose this war, which is not the case.
No American out there that I've talked to, no Democrat wants to lose.
We don't want to lose more American lives.
We want this wannabe dictator to stop making stupid decisions and putting Americans in harm's
way.
But Donald Trump posted that.
And then he attacked other people in the media talking about how he's so proud that
PBS got defunded, NPR got defunded, that Joy Reid got fired at MSNBC, that
Stephen Colbert is leaving CBS, and he talked about how, you know, he, truth social is booming,
which is not the case. He's the most accessible president ever, not the case. CNN has new ownership,
Twitter or X has free speech. He's boasting about this stuff, and then even more concerning.
Brendan Carr, the FCC chair, who is, of course, had his own controversy, said that broadcasters
that are running hoaxes and news distortions, also known as the fake news, have a chance now to correct
course before their license renewals come up. The law is clear. Broadcasters,
must operate in the public interest and they will lose their licenses if they do not.
And frankly, changing course is in their own business interests since trust and legacy media
has now fallen to an all-time low.
And this is in response to Donald Trump talking about the media and their coverage of
this war.
And so the message is clear here.
It is sending a chilling effect to American media outlets across the board, which is
if you do not talk favorably about our war in Iran, if you do not defend what Donald
Trump is doing, if you express concerns about the lives that have been lost, the 13 Americans at the time
of filming this who have died as a result of this war, if you even shiver at the idea that there's
no plan for the future, then you will lose your license. That's what he's doing. And that's why it's
so important that we continue to have this conversation on independent media. This show is not
controlled by anybody. It's so important that we have this conversation because it's clear what
they're trying to do. They want to establish a media environment where everything is pro-Trump.
It's all positive war in Iran. It's great. Americans are dying. It's wonderful. That's what they want.
That's their goal. That's what they want you to hear. So it is a crazy time in America.
There's no plan for Iran. They want to censor the news on Iran. It is insane. So please make sure

stuff. If you're on Apple or Spotify, please make sure to rate the show five stars and follow along.
