Starting point is 00:00:00 All right, folks, so I'm back home from Nashville, Tennessee, where I traveled to debate, a bunch of MAGA Republicans on their home turf in a red state. You'll see more of that on this show soon. But of course, during this time, Donald Trump thought it was a good idea to post this incredibly racist video that depicted Barack Obama and Michelle Obama as monkeys. And the fallout since that video was posted has been devastating for Donald Trump. Democrats have criticized him, obviously, but even some reports. Republicans have come out both in the House and the Senate and across the government saying that it's completely unacceptable. And right now, the White House is scrambling. Donald Trump was just confronted for the first time to his face about this racist video. And I'm going to show you what he had to say.
Starting point is 00:00:45 But before I do any of that, please make sure to subscribe down below. Drop a like on the video, comment. Let me know what you think about this story and this awful post from Donald Trump. If you're on Spotify or Apple, please make sure to rate the show five stars and follow along. it goes an incredibly long way. Now let's get into it. So first and foremost, this post by Donald Trump came at like midnight or something very early in the morning. It was very weird timing when he posted it or very late yesterday, whatever it might be. And the initial response from Caroline Levitt after being confronted about it in the morning was essentially to say that the Democrats are
Starting point is 00:01:20 just being woke, were overreacting, it's not that bad. She said, and I quote, this is from an internet meme video depicting Donald Trump as the king of the jungle and Democrats as character from The Lion King. Please stop the fake outrage and report on something today that actually matters to the American people. Well, I think racism matters to the American people. That's a pretty big deal that most people stand against. And you're seeing that in the outrage after this video that a lot of people stand against it. And then once they realized that this was a bipartisan condemnation of Donald Trump, the tune changed a little bit from the White House. They then, according to Sophie Kai, I believe she's an Axios reporter. This is a person familiar,
Starting point is 00:01:59 her, quote, Donald Trump didn't see the video, brackets, legitimately didn't. A staffer posted it. So now it's a staffer who posted it. They're throwing them under the bus for what Donald Trump did. So it's just fascinating how they went from, oh, this is fake outrage, to, okay, yeah, the video is pretty bad, but it wasn't Donald Trump's fault. They'll never admit to any of that. And speaking of which, on the topic of Donald Trump, as I mentioned, he was confronted about this video being posted, and he was asked, are you going to fire the staff? Are you going to apologize? He said no and no.
Starting point is 00:02:32 This was his answer when asked about this for the first time, and it actually continued in a clip we're going to look at as well in just a moment. But watch. The media post that you took down earlier today. The White House says that a staffer sent it. Who sent it and are you going to fire now? I looked at it. I saw it and I just looked at the first part.
Starting point is 00:02:52 It was about voter fraud in someplace, Georgia. There was a lot of voter fraud, 2020 voter fraud. And I didn't see the whole thing. I guess during the end of it, there was some kind of a that people don't like. I wouldn't like it either, but I didn't see it. I just, I looked in the first part, and it was really about voter fraud and the machines, how crooked it is, how disgusting it is. Then I gave it to the people.
Starting point is 00:03:20 Generally, they'd look at the whole thing, but I guess somebody didn't. And they posted, and we took it down, and we did it. But that was a voter fraud. that nobody talks about. They don't like to talk about that post. We took it down as soon as we found out about it. Okay, so just so we're clear, Donald Trump says he saw the post, the video of which this was included in, but he didn't watch the entire thing and then sent it off to his people to post.
Starting point is 00:03:47 So neither Trump nor his staffers watched the entire thing. How irresponsible. I mean, you're the leaders of the United States, of the free world. you're meant to be vetting things you put out to the public, you'd think, right? You know, when you're in college, you submitted essay, you approve read it. You know, make sure there's no errors or something you don't mean in the essay. But Donald Trump is just putting out things on social media without watching it, without vetting it or anything.
Starting point is 00:04:13 Number one, how irresponsible, but also number two, I don't buy that he didn't watch it. I don't buy that his staffers didn't watch it either. I think they knew what was in the video and they sent it out anyway, but it continued with the follow-up question. A number of Republicans are calling on you to a point. apologize for that post. Is that something you're going to do? No, I didn't make a mistake. I mean, I look at a lot of thousands of things. And I looked at the beginning of it. It was fine. They had that one post and I guess it was a takeoff.
Starting point is 00:04:42 By the way, a lot of people covered. If you look at where it came from, a lot of, I guess it was a takeoff on the Lion King. And certainly it was a very strong post in terms of voter fraud. Nobody knew that that was at the end of end if they would have looked they would have seen it and probably they would have the sense to take it down but that was a takeoff on the Lion King and a lot of people were covered on different in different positions so but I spoke to Tim Scott he was great Tim is a great guy he understood that 100% go ahead Mr. President. Wow so no no he's not apologizing not making a mistake I think that if you're depicting Barack Obama and Michelle Obama, black Americans as monkeys, that's a mistake. That's something you apologize for. Any normal person would. But when you're
Starting point is 00:05:39 a narcissistic, sociopathic, lunatic like Donald Trump, who is allergic to taking responsibility, then he says, oh, well, you know, it's bad, but I didn't make a mistake. What are you talking about? It is so absurd that this guy is in the position that he is. And a reporter, actually, thankfully, asked a good question to Donald Trump, saying you frequently criticize Biden for not knowing what was going on in his name, and Donald Trump did not like that he was, you know, being asked, you know, maybe you don't know what's going on. You frequently criticize Joe Biden for not knowing what is going on in his name. This racist video that was posted on your social media.
Starting point is 00:06:17 I know it's going on a hell of a lot better than you do. You don't know what's going on. I know what's going on. No, Joe Biden didn't have a clue. Okay. So Donald Trump's response to that was, I know a hell of a lot better than you do. You don't know what's going on. I know what's going on.
Starting point is 00:06:30 But Donald Trump's current excuse for the video right now is that he didn't know what was going on. Help, make that one make sense for me, please. That'd be great. I just want to know. I just want to know. I'm curious. He also said, I'm the least racist president you've ever had in a long time. This is a post made by apparently the least racist president we've ever had in a long time.
Starting point is 00:06:49 Donald Trump, really? I mean, you know, this guy's been in politics for a while now. He's made a lot of terrible statements. This is just part of the large tranche we have of all the awful things he said about people of color, minorities, immigrants, whatever it is, for him to get up there and say, after posting this to say, I'm the least racist president ever. Yeah, I mean, what a lot of crap. Caroline Levitt was also asked about this on Fox News, of all places.
Starting point is 00:07:14 She was confronted by Laura Ingram saying, can you really throw a staffer under the bus for this? And Caroline Levitt responded to that, of course, in her usual way, which is just straight up lying to the American people. Watch. It's been issue after issue at the same time, and I know you've been dealing with this today, but Donald Trump's true social post set off a firestorm online. I only noticed it this morning because I was writing, but it was a video that he had posted portraying Michelle and Barack Obama with an eight motif. And I guess there were other politicians
Starting point is 00:07:49 who were portrayed in other animal motifs as an internet meme, Tim Scott, Senator, obviously African-American, said he was praying it was fake because it was the most racist thing he'd ever seen it out of the White House. The president should remove it. Caroline, I know the president did remove it, deleted it, but it was up for, I think, 12 hours or something like that. How did this happen? And can you really throw a staffer under the bus for this? Well, look, Laura, you know, it was a meme that was posted by a staffer on the president's true social account. It was from a Lion King video depicting, as you pointed out, different Democrats as different animals. I think Kamala Harris was depicted as a turtle in this video meme. The president did take it down.
Starting point is 00:08:35 He spoke with lawmakers today out of respect for them, including Senator Tim Scott. The post was removed. But leave it to the leftist media, of course, to talk about this all day, rather than talk about the fact that the Dow has broken over 50,000 points for the first time in our nation's history, Oh, she wants to talk about the stock. You wants to talk about the economy. Oh, okay. So she thinks talking about the stock market is more important than the president of the United States posting something that's blatantly racist online.
Starting point is 00:09:03 Okay, Caroline, well, we can talk about the economy. We can talk about how grocery prices, gas prices, inflation are all still going up under Donald Trump. Nobody can buy a house. Nobody can rent an apartment anymore. She wants to have that conversation. She doesn't want to have that conversation. And she certainly doesn't want to talk about this racist post that was made by Donald Trump. Isn't it fascinating how they just.
Starting point is 00:09:21 just so easily brush it off. Oh, you know, it was a mistake. It was a staffer. Let's move on. Kind of thing. It's gross. It's gross. Trump is still not apologizing. He says he didn't make a mistake. There's no accountability he's taking. We want to joke.
Starting point is 00:09:36 This administration is just such a shit show, a clown show constantly. And this was just so disgusting. This was so disgusting. So look, I will leave the video there. I just wanted to talk about all these new clips we've gotten of Donald Trump, being confronted about it, talking about it, and whatnot. but make sure to subscribe down below, drop a like on the video, comment, let me know what you think about this story and all these clips. If you're on Spotify or Apple, once again, please rate to show
Starting point is 00:09:59 five stars. Make sure to follow along as well. It goes an incredibly long way. But have an amazing rest of your day, and we will talk soon.
