All right, so Donald Trump is melting down on social media today because of this brand new reporting.
In a new post on truth social in this long paragraph, he decided to go after the reporting saying it's fake, it's not true, everything is great, I'm great, and you have nothing to look at over here.
But that is, of course, not the truth.
And in this video, we're going to debunk everything he said in that social media post as well as go over the new reporting that he's very upset about.
But it just reeks of desperation.
It reeks of panic from Trump right now.
he knows things are not going well, despite him claiming otherwise basically every single day.
So let's get into this New York Times article that he is deeply disturbed by, I guess.
This is his main focus.
Trump's polling numbers had a new low, don't expect him to change course, which I think is probably pretty accurate.
After a spate of bad polls earlier this summer, Donald Trump simply declared they were not true, as he normally does, saying, quote,
my real poll numbers are the highest they have ever been, which doesn't take a genius to know that that's not true.
true. I think even the Republicans might be able to get there and understand that one, but maybe
that's asking too much. He wrote on social media using capital letters as if they would shout away
any contrary data. In fact, his real poll numbers are at or near the lowest level they have ever
been in some nonpartisan surveys. A flurry of new samples in recent days found that Trump is at the
Nadeer of his presidency with support from just around a third of Americans as a stalemated war in Iran
and high gas prices take a political toll. The latest surveys indicate that Trump,
is now all but the most unpopular second term president at this stage of their tenure in the history
of polling going back to the 1940s. The only exception is not the one that Trump would get much
solace from, and that's Nixon, who had even less public support at this stage in his second
term, but at that point, he was just days away from resigning over the Watergate scandal.
So, you know, not great. These kind of poll numbers would throw a normal White House into panic mode,
especially coming just three months before a midterm election. Someone might be fired, a speech,
might be written, a new set of policies might be devised, but Trump has never been a normal
president, and he does not react to political circumstances in the same way his predecessors have.
Now, let's get into some of these numbers because they are especially bad, historically bad for
Donald Trump, and that's what he's talking about on social media.
Still, the latest numbers are especially bleak and have Republicans increasingly rattled as they
dread a democratic wave that could cost them the House, and possibly even the Senate in November.
They are the only ones dreading it.
I mean, really, every other American out of the United States.
there. Poll after poll shows that independent Americans, Democrats, and even some Republicans are like,
eh, you know, maybe we, maybe we messed up with the Republicans in the House and the Senate.
Trump has the support of just 34% of Americans, just 34% of Americans support him.
And CNN's latest poll matching his lowest point after the January 6th insurrection.
He had the approval of just 33% in a new AP NORAC survey, tying his lowest since 2017 and 32% in a Quinnipiac
University poll falling to an all-time low in that poll. So he is low 30s right now, and that number
continues to go down. If you look at the trend, it's just gone down and down and down in Donald
Trump's second term. There's never been a moment of a spike where he did something that the American
people like, and, you know, it really resonated with people. That's never happened with Trump.
And take a look at the historical comparison here. By comparison at this stage of their second terms,
Bill Clinton was at 64 percent. Reagan, 61, Eisenhower, 58, and that's according to historical
Gallup surveys. Those numbers, those, excuse me, those underwater include Barack Obama at 43,
Truman at 39, George Bush at 37, all of whom went on to see their party lose seats in the
midterm elections months later. Nixon on the verge of resignation was at 24%. But of course, as we know,
he got out of office because of it. The challenges for Trump and Republicans is that the president
is underwater on issues almost across the board, including areas where he had been stronger like
the economy and immigration. Some polls are actually showing that the American people trust Democrats
more now on all of the issues that Donald Trump won on in 2024
than they do Trump or the Republicans,
which is especially bad for the upcoming midterm elections.
And instead of trying to change course and maybe put the policy back on track
back on track for Donald Trump isn't great anyway,
but maybe changing the policy, something that's more uniting,
something that gets Democrats and Republicans to the table.
Instead of doing any of that, Donald Trump is ranting on social media about the poll numbers.
He says they're fake, as he so often does.
It's kind of like his thing.
So he responded to the reporting this morning at 9.31 a.m.
He woke up angry, saying my real polling numbers, as if these are fake, but okay, not those made up by the fake news media are the best they have ever been.
And why wouldn't they be with the biggest tax cuts and employment numbers ever?
So definitely not the biggest employment numbers ever, that's for sure.
And certainly a bunch of tax cuts to the wealthy.
The biggest outside investment in America and world history, it's not true.
A totally secure border.
Not true.
A giant victory in Venezuela.
the denuclearization of Iran, unparalleled respect and success throughout the world, and much more.
None of this is true.
Don't believe the radical left's fake poll numbers.
They are crooked and corrupt, just like the country destroying Democrats.
He's bringing out the nicknames again, are crooked and corrupt.

Vote Republicans for greatness in America.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
So of course, none of this is true.
The American people are struggling.
There are wars happening all around the world.
Trump said he would end the Ukraine war in one day.
That's still happening.
We're in a new war with Iran.
the gas price have gone up, grocery price have gone up,
and he is just kind of ignoring all of those problems and saying,
hey, vote for Republicans again,
as if Republicans didn't get us into the mess that we're in right now,
which is, you know, an interesting political theory,
an interesting campaign point going into the midterms.
And I think, you know, this clip has gone viral after this New York Times article
and his subsequent response for a reason.
Remember back in 2021, Trump kind of let it slip saying,
if it's a bad poll, I just say it's fake.
If it's a good poll, I say it's the most accurate poll ever.
You have a poll coming at,
Unfortunately, I want to know what it is.
You know, they do that straw poll, right?
Now, if it's bad, I diso.
I say it's fake.
If it's good, I say, that's the most accurate poll, perhaps ever.
See, everyone in the crowd at CPAC, which is this conservative conference, thought that was very funny.
But unfortunately for Donald Trump, he's kind of letting the truth slip here.
And that is exactly what's going on with this statement from Trump.
if all those different polls that we just read from CNN or Quinnipiac or whatever it is,
if any of these polls were good for Donald Trump and showed him with like a 60% approval rating,
he'd love them.
But since they're the opposite, well, he's not so happy about it.
And again, not exactly surprising.
I mean, people are struggling, but also the policy for Trump just sucks.
I mean, across the country, different people are struggling for different reasons.
But let me just give you an example here that Donald Trump and Elon Musk cut funding for wildlife,
wildfire, excuse me, mitigation, and then the Northland started burning up in Michigan and Wisconsin
and Minnesota. The U.S. Forest Service lost more than 100 Minnesota employees and delayed $10 million
in grant funding for wildfire mitigation in the Superior National Forest during the chaotic
first year of Donald Trump's second term. Democratic elected officials say those setbacks left
Minnesota ill-equipped to face the fires that have burned more than 60,000 acres in the Boundary
waters canoe area wilderness since early July and repeatedly billowed smoke across the great lakes.
The Forest Service diverted forest management funds that Congress provided through the bipartisan
infrastructure law and the inflation reduction act to pay for the deferred resignation program.
The move had, quote, obvious consequences.
The Forest Service treated 23% fewer hazardous fuels acres last year compared with 2024.
That's just one example.
How about this?
Trump overhaul could guthead start preschool standards, leaving states to set the rules.
attacking our education, attacking our kids' future. Or what about RFK Jr? and the quack that's
serving at the HHS and his vaccine misinformation, disinformation, and conspiracy theories.
He just had a pretty crazy back and forth on CNN with Dana Bash about this. Just watch
this clip. It is insane. Can I ask you, the Wall Street Journal reported that the president is
pressuring you to conduct studies probing the link between vaccines and autism. Is that true?
Did you say probing the link?
that what what the wall i'm just quoting the wall street journal that they that the president wants you
to go further to probe the link between autism and vaccines he certainly does okay now have you
talk to him about medical research that have studied this for 25 years and found no link between
autism and vaccines and and and just this is my question here because i don't want to litigate that
My question is, why not, because you are HHS secretary now, why not study what could cause autism,
which scientists do believe starts with fetal brain development?
Why not do some studies on that, whether there's an environmental lawyer,
whether there are environmental factors that go into contributing to a predisposed genetic situation?
Let me say that first.
We're doing all those things.
And that's one of the ways that we found Tylenol.
There's 73 studies out there and linked Tylenol exposure during later pregnancy and during the perinatal period to autism mindset.
But you are wrong when you say that this issue has been studied.
It has been studied, and you're rolling your eyes, Dana.
I am because I don't want to have you use our error to say this.
There have been more than 40 studies involving 5.6.
million people to conclude there is no link between vaccines and autism. This is the head of the
Committee of Infectious Diseases for the American Academy of Pediat. Let me tell you what the Institute of
Medicine says, which is the National Academy of Sciences, which is the ultimate arbiter on vaccine
safety in which it does not have an interest in this debate. It says that none of the eight
vaccines that are administered during the first six months of life have ever been studied for a real
Oh my. I mean, okay. So I can't listen to him anymore. And I'm being honest, I can't listen to him
anymore because he's lying one of many different reasons. He's just not being honest here.
None of what he's saying is honest here. But this is the guy. This is the weirdo, the quack,
the freak who Donald Trump has leading our HHS. That's the guy in charge of the science, which is not a
sign, given that he himself is, by the way, not a doctor, doesn't even close to being a doctor,
doesn't have any medical training, any medical education, has never worked in any medical institutions
or anything like that. And he's this weirdo going on TV. And that also probably explains why,
you know, Republicans, you can see here, Republican support for school vaccine requirements
continues to slide. Republicans in their faith in vaccines continue to go down because of these
freaks working in the Trump administration and now measles and all these different things that
we thought we eradicated and were at least very well maintained are now spiking in the United
States more so than it has any other year before. Or what about Donald Trump with his anti-weaponization
fund? He was asked by a reporter. You said the anti-weaponization fund is back on the table.
Trump saying there's never been an attack on any group of people in this country, in my opinion,
if they don't approve Todd, I'd put it back on the table. A lot of people like it. A lot of big Trump
supporters like it, which couldn't be further. I mean, well, let me correct myself.
The Trump supporters like it. Average people don't like it because why are we giving
over a billion dollars, $1.8 billion to January 6th insurrectionists.
And I do want to address one final thing here.
He said that, you know, they're the most respected in the world.
Unparalleled respect and success throughout the world and much more, Donald Trump says.
But of course that's not true because just the other day we got this viral clip out of Amsterdam.
Trump and Putin appear as a kissing couple at Amsterdam's 2026 Canal Parade.
Just watch this.
Does this look like countries around the world respect us?
Because I don't think so.
They are making the president of the United States a kissing couple with Vladimir Putin.
Not great.
So look, I'll leave the video there.
I just had to address this absurd statement from Donald Trump.
And I think it's important to do so.
I often say on the show that I think pushing back on Donald Trump's statements on social media,
especially the weird stuff he posts, a lot of the AI things he posts, are really, really important.
It doesn't get enough attention, and so we do it here on the show.
So look, I will leave it there.
Thank you so much for watching.
