Well, folks, Donald Trump is taking a victory lap on social media right now because his lap dogs, otherwise known as the Supreme Court, have ruled in his favor once again, giving him a victory on the ballroom. Yes, this is a real story, a real topic of conversation in the United States of America, in Donald Trump's America. There's so many things happening around the world, so many things happening in the United States, and our Supreme Court and our president, and people in our government are dedicating time to a ballroom. Yes. Trump's America, everybody. So the Supreme Court has cleared the way for the White House to continue their ballroom construction and Trump is posting about it online. Before we read what Donald Trump had to say, let's get into the specifics here. But first, please make sure to subscribe down below. Drop a like on the video, comment. The Supreme Court on Monday today allowed construction to continue of the White House ballroom handing Donald Trump a major victory as he races to complete the

largest expansion to the executive mansion in decades. The justice has found that the historical preservationists, who brought the lawsuit, who challenged the controversial project, had not suffered the direct personal harm required to bring a lawsuit, but did not rule out the project's legality. Still, the decision means the lawsuit by them, at least, is all but dead. The group argues that tearing down part of the historic building, known as the People's House to build a new ballroom required the approval of Congress. And legal experts said that Congress might be able to challenge the project, but the Republican-controlled body has shown no interest because, of course, they haven't. It's unclear if any group might have what it is known as standing to bring the suit.

Yes, once again, the flaws in our government are being exposed. I have no idea how the president of the United States is just allowed to tear down part of the White House and put up a new building and there's no real challenges to it. And the Supreme Court is like unwilling to halt the project at all. It just seems so backwards to me. And then that's the judicial branch, right? That's the courts who are meant to stop Trump. Then you look at the legislative branch, Congress, and they're nowhere to be seen. And of course, they're nowhere to be seen because they're controlled by Republicans. They have no interest in stopping this project, despite it costing taxpayers, despite Donald Trump lying about it. But here we are. Trump has been fixated on

completing it with the president frequently invoking the project in public remarks and giving personal tours to show off its construction and characterizing the building as a capstone to his real estate and political careers. Trump has said it's part of a larger complex necessary for national security, which it is not. I mean, let's just be honest with each other. That is not the reason. The former sentence is the reason that Donald Trump views this as a capstone to his career. He views it as his baby, but the White House should never be used as any, individual's baby. It's the people's house. Donald Trump wants to make it his. It's the people's house. And the Supreme Court really just gave Donald Trump the go ahead to continue to build the

ballroom. It's really just gross. Donald Trump on social media writing after the ruling, first of all, he included these AI renderings of the ballroom with the pillars in focus. They're all fake pictures, of course. But Donald Trump, including these photos in his post about it, saying, I am pleased to report that the United States Supreme Court has just ruled in favor of the ballroom slash military complex. Oh, is that? that so. So we're now calling it a military complex as well. Okay, got it. Being built without any further contingency, doubt, or threat. We are living in the golden age of America, and this building will be one of the greatest ever constructed in Washington, D.C. I didn't realize that knocking down

the people's house was the golden age in America. I didn't realize that war in the Middle East in a terrible economy is the golden age in America. I say it often on the show, but Donald Trump really just lives in fantasy land. I don't even know if he's lying anymore or just being dishonest. with the American people. I think he's just straight up delusional and he actually believes this. He actually believes that we're living in a golden age, of course, which we are not. When completed in the summer of 2028, the magnificent ballroom and military complex will be something that the entire country is very proud of. Really? Really? This as an American doesn't bring me any pride. I am not even a little bit proud of a ballroom being built by Donald Trump, which is also being funded by taxpayers and a

bunch of companies who are giving to the ballroom to stay in Donald Trump's favor. That gives me no pride whatsoever. The project, despite the baseless lawsuit brought by the so-called national trust for historic preservation of the United States, which is not in any way affiliated with the United States government, is under budget and ahead of schedule. Really? Under budget, isn't that something? The ballroom is totally funded by great patriots and corporations, and therefore is a gift at no cost to the American taxpayer. Thanks for your attention to this matter. Well, we know that's not true. We know that's categorically false. This is from Catherine Clark, a representative of Donald Trump's ballroom,

sores to $600 million with taxpayers on the hook for at least half of it. Construction of Donald Trump's White House ballroom is projected to cost $600 million, which it is not under budget. Trump said it would cost $200 million, then it was $400 million, and now we're up to $600 million. But Clark Construction, the contractor hired for the ballroom, informed the White House on March 5th, that the project had increased to $600 million.

According to a project summary cited obtained by the Washington Post, with $293 million coming from private sources, Clark identified sources funded by taxpayers to cover the remaining costs, $155 million from the Secret Service, $149 million from the White House military office, and $3 million from the executive residence, all of those funded by taxpayer dollars. It is not funded only by private companies. It is indeed funded by the American people, and this has not sat well with the American people. Check this out. Ghosts, ghosts like poltergeists have a higher approval rating than the ballroom.

I mean, just check this out. This is, I mean, how, you know, as a Republican is Donald Trump, you're looking at these numbers and you're like, yeah, this is a good idea. Let's continue to move ahead on it. I never thought I'd be discussing ballrooms with John Berman, but here we go. I mean, it's the ballroom heard around the world. And, you know, I recall the shot heard around the world. Bobby Thompson, 51.

That was popular. This is most certainly not popular. I mean, just take a look here. Okay. privately paid. This is a privately paid, and now, of course, we're talking about potential public funds going to it for the security. Privately paid new White House ballroom. Look at this. In October of 2025, 56% opposed, it just 28% supported. Now, after all of the press that the president and Republicans have been trying to make in terms of making this ballroom popular,

you know how much it's moved in terms of popular opinion? It hasn't moved at all. It's just as unpopular now as it was in October. It is 56% opposed, just 28% support. And on I will note, Mr. Berman, that I have my little nugget down here, just 18% of independence supported. This ballroom is simply put unpopular. 28% doesn't seem very high. Put 28% in perspective. Yeah, I'm going to put 28% in perspective to you because to me, as I said at the beginning, I never thought I'd be talking about ballrooms because ballrooms are just not my style.

But Americans who support or believe in ghosts, that comes in at 39%. How about telepathy? That comes in at 29%. And the new White House ballroom comes in below both of those at 28%. So the bottom line is, I mean, like, oh my God, this is so pathetic. It is so pathetic that this is Donald Trump's baby. You know what was Barack Obama's baby? The Affordable Care Act, like giving Americans health care.

That was his thing. That was his prized achievement. What was Joe Biden? infrastructure bill, the largest infrastructure bill in American history, the largest investment in fighting climate change in world history, expanding health care for veterans, expanding health care for the American people. We had more Americans insured under Joe Biden than ever before in American history. That was Joe Biden's baby.

His crowned accomplishments. What's Donald Trump's? A ballroom that nobody wants. 28% of Americans approve of that. You rarely see, you know, over 70% of Americans agree on anything. And we can all agree that the ballroom sucks. and somebody I was surprised to see agree with us that the ballroom is a stupid idea is none other than John Roberts, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

He tore into Donald Trump's tacky ballroom in a fiery dissent in the case today. Donald Trump's Supreme Court majority has allowed the ballroom to continue over the furious objections of Chief Justice John Roberts and the court's three liberal justices. By the way, we need to expand the Supreme Court. If this is not evidence of that, if Roevey Wade being overturned is not evidence of that, I don't know what is. In a 5-4 ruling today, the Supreme Court lifted a lower court order that had threatened to halt the construction. Robert sided with the court's liberals justices and in a fiery dissent warned that the court's five other conservatives had effectively allowed the president to outrun the courts while construction raced ahead. And that's a very, very dangerous thing because it tells Donald Trump that, hey, as long as you move fast enough to do something in this country, go ahead.

head. We can't stop you. The courts take forever. You know, Donald Trump can just move like this, this, this because he controls the entire government, all these agencies, Congress, the Supreme Court, he can move very quickly. The courts, they got to catch up. It's a very dangerous thing. Construction of the ballroom has preceded a pace for the better part of a year. The construction is likely unlawful. This is coming from the Chief Justice of the United States of America, who's also a Republican. The White House is an iconic American building whose symbolism and history are wrapped up in its architecture, the Chief Justice added invoking former president Theodore Roosevelt, who once noted the importance of preserving such a historic building.

Therefore, Robert said it was critical to ensure that those responsible follow the rules in deciding what to tear down and what to build up at the people's house. Look at all these other freaks on the Supreme Court who just do Donald Trump's bidding. It's sickening to me. These were people meant to uphold the law. And it seems like all they uphold is Donald Trump's sack. Excuse my language. The decision allows Trump to continue building his ballroom, but the court reached its divided and unsigned decision via an expedited order on the shadow docket and without full oral argument about the merits of the project.

It also did not give a clear ruling on whether Trump had the legal authority to build the ballroom in the first place. But I am happy to announce that despite all of this, despite Donald Trump getting this win, the people are rising up. Check this out. The public launched an unprecedented barrage against Donald Trump's grotesque arch. Yes. Donald Trump is not only building the ballroom, he's not only still doing the crap with the reflecting pool, but he wants that arch in Arlington, Virginia as well. But maybe it won't go to plan. Donald Trump's proposed giant arch has drawn more than 100,000 public comments describing the Vanity Project as garrish, grotesque, tacky, and authoritarian. I'm going to go with option all of the above. Yes. A new National Park Service assessment had laid bare the scale of the project and the torrent of opposition it faces as the 80-year-old president tries to. to remake Washington in his own image. Some of the sharp, excuse me, some of the sharpest objections concerned the impact on nearby Arlington National Cemetery, the sacred burial ground for fallen soldiers from across American history. One woman warned that the arch would desecrate the solemnity of the Arlington Cemetery as a hollowed place of repose for those military members and their families, which is really well put.

Another person criticized the fact that the triumphal arches signify victory in conquest, whereas the Lincoln Arches, Arlington Corridor represents service and sacrifice. All good objections, but 100,000 comments saying, hey, this is not a good idea. You shouldn't be doing this is pretty impressive, not good news for Donald Trump. And once again, I just have to point this out every time we talk about Donald Trump's pet projects. He would rather focus on this crap than on the real issues impacting the American people, which doesn't surprise me because that's who Donald Trump is, but it shouldn't be what the presidency is. Those are two different things. The presidency is one thing. Donald Trump is another. The presidency is an office that Americans could previously look to for inspiration for hope.

No longer. Now it's been filled by a felon who just does whatever he wants. Look at this. Mangos have been recalled in multiple states due to possible contamination with salmonella. Make America healthy again. Isn't that right? No action on this from the Trump administration. Over 10,000 cases of tofu have been recalled also due to possible contamination with ink. Make America healthy again, right? What about inflation? It remains stubborn. It continues to be high because of Donald Trump's stupid economic policies.

But don't worry, everybody, fear or not, we can build the ballroom. I'm so pissed off. You know what I mean? I'm just angry at this stuff. This is so frustrating. As I said at the beginning of the video, it just doesn't make sense to me that in the United States of America, we have all over different branches of guns. government that have no spine as it stands, right? It's all controlled by Republicans, so no spine,

that's kind of a intuitive, it's kind of a given. But it's just so frustrating that that's the reality for us. But we can vote them out, and that's the good news. So look, I will leave it there.
