All right, folks, so earlier today, Donald Trump suffered one of the most humiliating, devastating,
and embarrassing defeats of not only his second term, but his entire political career.
This loss not only puts the Republican Party in jeopardy for 2026, but it also proves that
Trump's political clout, his grip on the Republican Party is fading, and it's fading fast.
Because this story is not about Democrats pushing back on Donald Trump.
It's about Republicans, his own party.
delivering him a major loss. So we're going to get into this story and more, but trust me,
it's a huge win for American democracy. Before we do any of that, make sure to subscribe down below,
drop a like on the video, comment. Let me know what you think about this story. Without further ado,
let's get into the good news. A group of Republicans in Indiana delivered a sharp rebuke to Donald
Trump today by rejecting his months-long push for the state to redraw its congressional maps.
Now, Donald Trump and his entire regime has been pressuring these red states to redistrict, but he's been laser-focused on Indiana, so much so that he's deployed J.D. Vance there, other members of his administration.
There's been a lot of pressure on people who wouldn't vote for the map saying, you know, we're going to primary you, put money against you and things like that.
There's been a lot of pressure from Donald Trump, and they still voted against his plan.
Trump has been frantically urging the deep red states to deliver as he tries to keep his party.
power by helping Republicans keep their House majority in next year's terms. And by help,
I think they mean cheat. I mean, that's what Donald Trump was doing. That's how it all started,
calling up Texas, telling them to redraw their maps, give him an extra five seats. So that's what
Donald Trump has been trying to do. He's been trying to rig the game. Republicans in the state
Senate controlled 40 of the 50 seats, and in Indiana, very Republican state, they have a super majority.
But the passage of the maps was not assured, as GOP's senators remained deeply divided on the issue,
despite Trump calling them out.
In the end, the Senate voted 31 to 19.
So that is a significant group of Republican senators joining the Democrats in the state,
which there are very few to vote against these maps.
It was the latest test suggesting that Trump's power over the party has shifted with 21,
21 Republican members willing to defy him despite his threats of political consequences.
And some of these Indiana senators have said that they've gotten threatened.
upon their life in just the past couple of days and weeks after talking about redistricting
being unsure or saying they're going to vote against it. That is the Trump effect.
On Wednesday evening, Trump delivered his final ultimatum with a post on truth social where he blasted
the Indiana Senate President pro tempore Rod Bray as, quote, the only person in the United
States of America who is against Republicans picking up extra seats, which is obviously an
asinine thing to say. He called Bray either a bad guy or a very stupid one.
and rage that MAGA supporters will primary every Republican who voted against the maps.
The president was actively urging GOP lawmakers to support the bill.
Republican state senator Greg Goode got at least two calls from Trump on redistricting,
including one on Monday, he told a local paper in Indiana.
Goode spoke with other White House officials Wednesday, but remained undecided ahead of the vote.
He ended up rejecting it.
Now, it's important to remember this because of what we're going to talk about in just a moment.
Donald Trump has reacted to his loss, and he's not.
happy, but you can see there's a very serious effort, a very deliberate effort from Donald Trump
to get people in these Republicans to vote in his favor. Quote, I'm confident that my vote
reflects the will of my constituents. Bray, who also voted against it, told reporters that the
vote, the Indiana Senate would not be able to revisit the issue next year, which is important.
Again, they're not going to do it next year. The Indiana House voted for the maps last week,
but not every Republican backed it. One GOP state senator, Greg Walker, said, I refuse to be
intimidated. I made a choice. He was also the victim of a swatting incident as he openly opposed
the redistricting effort. And there's more to this, but a huge, huge loss for Donald Trump. And that
brings us to the maps which Republicans were projecting or Republicans were attempting to get into
law, which is this one. You can see it is fully read, but these are the maps that currently
stand, a 2024 map. You can see there are two Democratic seats. So instead of having a 90-Republican
map, we have a 7-2 where Democrats will have two seats in the state of Indiana, but just look at how
gross, I mean, how gross this is. I mean, you have a map where people are accurately and maybe even
inaccurately represented, but certainly better than the one they proposed for this new redistricting
effort. You have this map that actually represents people, and then you just spit in their faces
and bow down to Donald Trump and try to propose this. It's just gross, but thankfully,
they rejected it. So instead of having this one on the left, we have the one on the right. And as I
mentioned, Donald Trump has issued a response to the loss, and he is doing his typical Trump thing,
saying, well, I didn't even know about it. I wasn't working hard on it. Just watch. It's crazy.
Thank you, Peter.
Mr. President, Indiana, just a few moments ago, the Senate there rejected the congressional maps
to redistrict in that state. A number of Republicans voted against that redistricting effort.
You have spent a lot of time talking about this. The vice president traveled to Indiana.
What's your reaction?
Well, we won't have any other state. That's the only state is.
funny because I won Indiana all three times by a landslide and I wasn't working on it
very hard. Would have been nice. I think we would have picked up two seats if we did that.
You had one gentleman the head of the Senate, I guess, Bray, whatever his name is. I heard he was
against it. It probably loses next primary, whatever that is. I hope he does. But because
he's done a tremendous disservice. I mean, think of it. It's a great place. I love the people
there. They love me. We won in a landslide all three times.
I've got tremendous votes, record.
I got record votes.
And then you, there's no reason for doing that.
And the Democrats do it to us, so I can't imagine that they do it.
But I wasn't very much involved, but there's a band name Bray as a, I guess, head of the Senate.
Was that Bray?
Is that the name?
Bray?
And I mean, I'm sure that whenever his primary is, it's, I think, in two years.
But I'm sure he'll go down.
He'll go down.
I'll certainly support anybody who wants to go against him.
Okay, so he's like, you know, I wasn't very involved, but I'll also support anybody that runs against him.
But I didn't know anything about it and I don't really care.
This is the typical Trump play, which is, you know, if something goes right, he'll take credit for it.
He'll say, it was all me.
I did it.
But if something goes wrong and he fails his party or more frequently failing the American people, he says, well, you know, it wasn't me.
It was this person or I didn't really know anything about it.
And it's just funny because Midas Touch pointed out that Trump not only threatened to pull the state's federal funding, but he sent Vance there multiple times.
His allies as well, including his son, are currently threatening to oust all the Republicans who rebuked him.
And he's already sicked his goons on these lawmakers, bringing them countless death threats.
But okay, you know, Donald Trump says he wasn't involved.
So that means he wasn't bullshit.
He was very much involved.
This was something that he was very intimately part of, and it completely failed.
And this is just another example of how much Donald Trump was part of this.
I mean, he sent J.D. Vance to meet with the governor in Indiana, and they were trying to have it as like a secret meeting, but it got out.
And they put up this big black curtain.
And it's like, you know, in front of the governor's office to try to block people from seeing it or having anything to report on.
It completely failed.
But J.D. Vance made multiple visits.
And J.D. Vance is not taking this casual approach that Donald Trump is saying.
He said Rod Bray, the Senate leader in Indiana, has consistently told us he wouldn't fight.
redistricting while simultaneously whipping his members against it. The level of dishonesty cannot be
rewarded and the Indiana GOP needs to choose a side. So J.D. Vance is threatening them, but Donald Trump
pretends he has nothing part of it, nothing involved. I mean, it's just absolutely insane.
But a great, great news for American democracy, great news for the United States, the right move
by these Republican senators in Indiana who are standing up to Donald Trump and doing the right thing.
And I do want to point something out. This right here, what you're
looking at is why Donald Trump and MAGA are so nervous about 2026. And let me explain. These are
legislative seat flips in the year of 2025. From Republican to Democrat, seats flipping blue,
there have been 25. From Democrat to Republican, there have been zero. Zero. There has not been a single
Democratic seat that has flipped two Republicans because people are just so eager to vote for more
of Donald Trump. This is a red flag for them. They know it. And they're trying to.
trying to cheat, and Indiana Republicans, surprisingly, delivering a major, major loss for Donald Trump.
So, you know, this story is very new.
It just happened within the past couple of hours, depending on when you're watching it.
But very, very good news.
So look, I'll leave the video there.
