All right, folks, look, I think it's undeniable that Democrats had a blue wave across the country last night.
In all of these different elections, Democrats overperformed, whether it be California, Virginia, New Jersey, Florida, Pennsylvania, Georgia.
You name the election, Democrats did well.
Now, this has really stunned the Republican Party.
It's stunned Donald Trump.
And we've talked about on this show Donald Trump's public response, but his private response just got leaked.
And he's not happy with his party.
He is privately acknowledging that they got a shalacking last night.
And he's taking his anger out on members of his own party, blaming them for his failure.
So look, we're going to get into all of this and more.
But before we do so, make sure to subscribe to the channel down below.

Let me know what you think about this story.
And without further ado, let's hear what Donald Trump is saying privately, shall we?
Here, let's just start here with a reporter from Punchbowl, who really,
covers Congress. That's kind of their main focus.
Quote, inside the room per multiple GOP senators, after reporters were kicked out of this
meeting that Donald Trump had with senators today earlier this morning, reporters were kicked
out. Trump said the election results showed that the shutdown has been worse for us than for
them. And Republicans are getting killed. Now, this in and of itself is significant because
Donald Trump has gone around the country saying, oh, it's the Democrats' fault and they're feeling
and at the polls, they're getting destroyed publicly. The American people know that it's the
Democrats' fault. That's his claim publicly. But privately, he's saying that, yeah, it's been worse for
us and we are getting killed over it. And of course they are because the American people aren't stupid.
They control the entire government. Trump is president. Republicans control the Senate,
the House, the Supreme Court, all of these government agencies. Of course it is their fault.
They're the ones trying to get rid of SNAP, trying to get rid of ACA subsidies. So everybody's
health care goes up, of course Americans are going to be pissed off at them. They're so out of touch
that they don't see this. It's so obvious to anybody that's paying attention. He also said the
GOP will become a dead party if they don't nuke the filibuster. This has been a real focus for Donald
Trump in the past week or so because he recognizes the political wins and they're not blowing in his
favor. And we saw that last night. He wants to get rid of the filibuster so he can just get anything
he wants done.
Quote, Trump got into it with Lindsey Graham after Graham tried to make the point that they can
still use reconciliation to pass legislation with a simple majority, meaning they'd only
need 50 senators because J.D. Vance could break the tie.
Trump snapped at Graham saying, Lindsay, you and I both know that there's so much you can't
do with reconciliation.
So he's snapping at members of his own party for trying to push back on him regarding the
filibuster.
And we'll talk more about that in just a moment.
And here's more from Jake Sherman at Punchbowl.
Here's what Trump just told Senate Republicans about last night.
This is his official verbatim quote.
Trump thinks last night was bad for Republicans and think the government has to be open immediately.
And he seems to believe the bad election results are directly related to the now 36-day shutdown,
which is probably partially correct, but it's also related to the fact that people just don't like Trump.
Right?
They don't like his insanity.
They don't like the fact that he's broken virtually every promise he made.
Of course he was.
He was never going to be able to eliminate inflation on day one as he claimed.
But all of his promises are being broken.
So here's his exact quote.
Last night was not expected to be a victory.
I don't think it was good for Republicans.
I'm not sure it was good for anybody.
It was definitely good for the country.
But we had an interesting evening and we learned a lot.
I will say a few remarks and then after that,
I will ask the press to leave.
We'll have a discussion after the press leaves
about what last night represented
and what we should do about it
and also about the shutdown, how that relates to last night.
The shutdown was a big factor negative for the Republicans.
He also said the government needs to reopen,
quote,
back open soon and really immediately. It's like, you know, he's preaching this in public. He's
saying, yeah, we have to open the government while he's president. Like, get to work, Grandpa.
Aren't you the guy that's meant to be doing this stuff? But, of course, you know, all he does is
golf and scroll social media all day. So this was with the press there saying, yeah, we had a
disastrous night. And then privately, he's saying, it's worse for us. We're getting killed. We're
going to become a dead party if we don't nuke the filibuster. Here's another quote from another
journalist at CNN, the White House reporter, quote, I thought we'd have a discussion after
press leaves about what last night represented and what we should do about it, and also the shutdown
Heather relates to last night. I think if you read the pollsters, the shutdown was a big factor
negative for the Republicans. You don't have to just read the pollsters. In this remark,
he's citing the pollsters here for the broader point about the shutdown. But you don't have
to read the pollsters. You can just look at the results. You can see how people feel about the
economy, how they feel about immigration, how they feel about all these different things that Donald
Trump has done, and you'll know exactly how exactly what happened last night and why it happened.
But Donald Trump's plans to get rid of the filibuster following this meeting took an immediate
hit because Tom Tillis, a Republican senator on Trump's calls to nuke the filibuster, no, it's not going
to happen. I will tell you with metaphysical certainty, this Congress is not going to nuke the
filibuster period, full stop. He was followed up with, why do you feel so confident? He said,
because it only takes third grade math to figure out that if you've got 15 or more members that are dug in,
it's not going to happen. And the Democrats are certainly not going to help Donald Trump nuke the filibuster.
So it's not happening as long as these 15 Republicans remain dug in. Do they have a spine? Probably not.
So I want to be clear, I'm not exactly holding my breath here, but I will keep you updated in all of this.
Now, Donald Trump has also been kind of posting relentlessly throughout the day trying to talk about anything other than the election.
For example, at 10.28 a.m. around the time that he's having this meeting with Senate Republicans,
he said, happy anniversary. On this day, November 5th, one year ago, we had one of the greatest presidential victories in history.
In reality, it's one of the worst. Such an honor to represent our country. Our economy is booming.
I mean, it's such a blatant lie. You know, anyway, costs are coming way down. Lie. Affordability is our goal.
Lie. Love to the American people, Donald Trump. And of course, last night, he reacted to the result saying that Trump wasn't on the ballot and the shutdown.
He keeps hammering this point that it wasn't his fault when, you know, we know it's his fault.
Now, Donald Trump also gave a major, quote unquote, that's what the White House is calling it,
at least, an economic speech in Miami.
And it doesn't seem like he's taking the results well.
For example, he went after Gavin Newsom giving him a new nickname.
Just watch.
He's a slimy one.
Maybe that should be his nickname.
Slimy, slimy newscombe, right?
But he doesn't have it.
But you look at it.
He doesn't have it except California passed Prop 50.
overwhelmingly last night. You know who won last night? Gavin Newsom. You know, who lost last night,
Donald Trump and MAGA. So, you know, spare me, old man on the whole, you know, Gavin Newsom doesn't
have it. Or we should name him slimy Gavin Newsom. Why don't we name the calm man, slimy Donald
Trump? That, you know, the used car salesman, that's our president. Why don't we give him a slimy
nickname? And then, you know, his cognitive decline seems to be really setting in on this speech because
his teleprompter is telling him South America. The teleprompter says South America. The teleprompter says
South America. His speech says South America, and he keeps saying South Africa. He can't read
the teleprompter. Just watch this. It's insane. Socialist Venezuela, and you see what happened to
those places. For generations, Miami has been a haven for those fleeing communist tyranny in South
Africa. I mean, if you take a look at what's going on parts of South Africa, look at South Africa,
what's going on. Look at South America, what's going on. You know, I'm not going to, we have a G20
meaning in South Africa.
South Africa shouldn't even be in the G's anymore.
Because what's happened there is bad.
I'm not...
You know, this is like a moment from Veep.
It's one of my favorite shows.
You know, the teleprompter, except the main character is cognitive decline.
You know, the teleprompter clearly says South Africa and you...
Or excuse me, it clearly says South America,
and he just keeps saying South Africa instead.
And you know it says South America because he later brings it up randomly.
He's saying, you know, communist tyranny and South America.
Africa and then look at South America as well. It is so absurd. And clearly, the election results
have really rattled him and his cognitive decline really is on display in this speech. So he's raging
publicly at Gavin Newsom. He's doing anything else but talk about the election results. And of course,
privately, he is saying the Republicans are on the verge of becoming a dead party, which maybe
they would deserve to become a dead party given their warm embrace of Donald Trump, a wannabe
dictator all over all of these years. I don't think that if you do that, you should be a political
party in America any longer. So Donald Trump is clearly not having a good day. The Republicans are
not having a good day, which means it's a good day for America. So look, I will leave the video
there. Thank you so much for watching. It means the world that you are here. Make sure to subscribe
it down below. It goes an incredibly long way. Drop a like on the video, comment. Let me know
what you think about the story and everything that happened last night. It was amazing. But without any
of that, you know, we'll talk soon and I appreciate you. Have an amazing rest of your day.
