Donald Trump is quite literally running away from the topic of Iran and the Middle East,
while simultaneously providing absolutely no strategy or no vision for what's next in a region
where Americans are being attacked on a daily basis.
He has no idea what he's doing.
The United States is currently devoid of leadership.
Last night, when Trump arrived back at Joint Base Andrews on the way back to the White House in D.C.,
reporters were asking him questions about Iran, and he just straight up ignored them.
And when he got back to the White House and was speaking in the Rose Garden, he admired the infrastructure of the White House while reporters were trying to ask about Iran.
And all of this was caught on video.
But overall, the past 24 hours for both Donald Trump, the United States, and American troops abroad have been disastrous.
I want to give you the latest on what's going on with Iran.
And I'm going to play these videos for you of Donald Trump just ignoring the media while being confronted about Iran.
But before I do any of that, please make sure to subscribe down below.
like on the video comment. Let me know what you think about this story. If you're on Apple or Spotify,
please make sure to rate the show five stars and follow along. And without further ado, I want to
get into it. So first and foremost, just as a little bit of an update. In the past 24 hours,
Iran has attacked directly or indirectly 15 different countries or their military. You have
Israel, of course, the United States, of course, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan,
Iraq, Bahrain, Oman, Syria, Cyprus, and France, Italy.
and the United Kingdom by way of different bases in the region.
So this war has not died down whatsoever.
Iran is still targeting different locations,
targeting our allies as well.
The United States and Israel continued their bombing campaign in Iran.
So there's a lot of questions swirling about what's tomorrow going to look like,
what's a week from now going to look like.
And if we had a normal president,
somebody who knew what they were talking about
and could actually point to the Middle East on a map,
you might get some answers to those questions.
But we have Donald Trump.
And so while Americans are being attacked, he is, you know, talking about statues at the White House or posting random articles on truth social.
And this is just the past 24 hours.
Who knows how large this map gets for this war that Donald Trump has started.
But I wanted to show you this breakdown from a journalist at the economist of Donald Trump calling different reporters and kind of actively workshopping different ideas for what might be next for Iran.
He called The Washington Post, Axios, the New York Times, ABC, and more outlets last night on the phone and kind of just gave them different ideas for Iran.
Different answers for all these different media outlets.
He has no idea what's going on.
He has no idea what he's doing and no coherent policy.
Greg Karlstrom said, Trump is basically calling up every journalist in his phone to workshop different timelines and goals for his war.
In the past two days, he called the Washington Post and said the aim is freedom for the people of Iran, which is,
completely different than what he's been saying previously, it was, you know, to get rid of their
nuclear supply, but also Iran was apparently going to attack us, and now it's about freedom for the
people of Iran, okay? He said to Axios, maybe we can quote, end it in two or three days with a deal.
He told the New York Times, well, actually, it might be four to five weeks. I have three very good
choices of candidates who might take control in Iran. And then he told ABC News, actually,
never mind, the three candidates that he had in mind for Iran were actually killed in the strikes.
So it's just contradictory visions for every different news outlet. And I think the most concerning thing
for me is he said to Axios, you know, two or three days, that's what we're hoping for will be out
by Wednesday. Then he changed the timeline to four weeks. Now the timeline is four to five weeks.
So it seems like every hour the timeline gets stretched out and we might be looking at a broader
war. I mean, you know, Republican senators were talking about a week. Donald Trump
is talking about over a month. He doesn't sound convinced by any of it. He's throwing spaghetti at the
wall. Ultimately, I suspect he just wants to say he solved a problem that has vexed every American
president since Jimmy Carter. But there's no clear idea what that looks like and no plan for how to
get there. And there are plenty of possible scenarios in which Trump declares victory and leaves
the region with an absolute mess, which quite frankly, I think is the most likely scenario,
knowing Donald Trump. I think he will try to claim premature victory, say, I solved the Middle East,
there's peace, I did it, nobody else was able to do.
it, and yet the Middle East will still be in chaos, and Americans will still be targeted,
and our allies will still be targeted.
I think that's the most likely scenario.
But obviously, we can see from these different media outlets who have spoken to Donald Trump,
he has no idea what's going on, he doesn't have a plan.
Nobody around him has a plan, which is terrifying.
The Midas Touch also pointed out that Trump told the New York Times the Pentagon projections
show U.S. casualties in Iran could actually be much higher than the three Americans who
have already been killed.
This is coming directly from the NYT.
Trump spoke from Marlago about 36 hours into the conflict, and soon after he received news of American casualties, saying he could only speak briefly because he was about to meet with the generals.
He acknowledged that his administration expected more casualties based on projections offered by the Pentagon.
Three is too many. As far as I'm concerned, Trump said, if you look at projections, they do projections, it, you know, it could be quite a bit higher than that.
We expect casualties he added, but he professed confidence that Iran would, in the end, bend to America's and Israel's will.
the country has been very substantially weakened, who put it mildly, says Donald Trump.
And then when talking about the casualties, he said there are probably going to be more Americans
that die, and that's just the way it is. That's what Donald Trump, the American president,
said about Americans dying. And on top of this, the Trump allies have been offering
different explanations for why Trump bombed Iran and that are getting debunked by their own news
networks. For example, Scott Jennings yesterday, and this tweet went viral because it seems like
a defense of Donald Trump. He said,
senior Trump officials telling me that credible intelligence indicated that Iran planned preemptive
missile strikes against the U.S. military targets in the region and against civilian targets as well,
failure to act would have resulted in mass U.S. casualties.
So that's why Donald Trump acted, except, and if we all know, Scott Jennings is employed at CNN.
CNN later reported that Pentagon briefers acknowledged to congressional staff in a briefing on Sunday
that Iran was not planning to strike U.S. forces or bases in the Middle East,
unless Israel attacked Iran first.
It completely undercuts Donald Trump's claims about a justification for doing this
and why he went in and the Trump surrogates like Scott Jennings have been debunked.
So time after time after time, any plan that Donald Trump tries to run by,
it gets holes poked through it, any explanation for why he did what he did in Iran
has holes poked through it immediately.
it has been a awful 24 hours for Trump and also transparently the United States.
I mean, Americans have died.
Three, at minimum, at the time of filming this, have died.
And those families have gotten the worst news possible.
Now, I want to show you some of these clips of Donald Trump literally running away from the media
when asked some tough questions about what's going on in the Middle East.
This is the first one.
So no comments from the president as he arrives and joined them.
No comments, just straight running away.
Here is where Donald Trump has asked.
what his message is to the families of the Americans who died in the Middle East as part of
Donald Trump's war.
And no answer.
What's your message to the families of the fallen?
So when he got off the plane to get in the helicopter, go to the White House, didn't answer
any questions.
When he got to the White House, didn't answer any questions.
However, at the White House, he did stop to talk in the Rose Garden about the statues that
he has now placed in the Rose Garden that he has paved over and made an ugly slab of concrete.
Watch.
What are you taking questions on Iran?
What's the message?
What's your message to the families of the service members who were killed?
Yep.
If you didn't catch that, he said unbelievable statues referencing the statue that is apparently
maybe looks like Jefferson there.
Madison maybe.
I'm not sure who he has placed in the Rose Garden.
But he's admiring the statues as Americans are being targeted in the Middle East.
As he's being asked questions about the Middle East and what's next?
He wants to lead Iran, what his messages for the families of these fallen Americans, he has no
idea what's going on.
There's no plan.
There's no plan.
The people around Donald Trump don't know what they're doing.
Trump doesn't know what he's doing.
We are devoid of leadership.
I mean, normally people can have faith in their government that if they're going to act
in a certain way, you might think, well, maybe there's something I don't know going on
behind the scenes.
Maybe there's a plan.
There's no plan.
Donald Trump and them are playing it by day.
Well, we'll see what happens today.
we'll see what happens tomorrow and make a decision based off of that.
It is a very dangerous situation.
And I've said this consistently.
My only concern, my main concern, I shouldn't say my only concern.
My main concern right now are the American servicemen and women in the Middle East who are now targets because of Donald Trump.
Trump has put a target on their head.
And I'm not a religious person, but I'm hoping for them.
I'm keeping them in my thoughts.
I am devastated thinking about how they are feeling right now, how their families are feeling right now.
So we have no plan.
There's nothing going on.
Trump is getting caught in lies.
His team is getting caught in lies.
And he's not answering any questions.
It's a bad time.
So look, I will leave the video there.
